'Cruel irony' that former state elections commissioner killed in crash on eve of election, officials say

Former state Elections Commissioner Elaine Manlove was a doer.

When she worked with U.S. Sen. Chris Coons' wife, Annie Coons, in then-New Castle County Executive Dennis Greenhouse's office about 25 years ago, she "made sure everyone had a special day on their birthday."

Even after she left that position to take a job in the county's elections department – and then, when she became Delaware's election commissioner – she remained an organizer, ensuring her colleagues stayed friends through the decades.

"Even now, we all get together for a Christmas dinner," Coons said. "One of the dear people in our office Rose Grello, just turned 90, and (Elaine) coordinated that we send her a big bouquet of roses.

"She's just the person who stayed in touch always β€” I had just talked to her last week about something."

Coons, like dozens of others in Delaware who knew Elaine well, are mourning the loss of her and her husband Wayne, who were killed Monday afternoon when a tractor-trailer barreled into their SUV.

As of Tuesday evening, Delaware State Police, who are investigating the crash, had not identified the couple. The agency said only that the victims were a 72-year-old woman and 75-year-old man from Ocean View.

Coons said the Manloves had been driving back and forth from Ocean View to New Castle County because their eldest son, Matt, was "just in remission from cancer."

The couple recently celebrated their 51st anniversary.

According to police, the crash involved the Manloves' 2019 Chevrolet Equinox that was stopped at a red light just before 2 p.m. on Route 13 north at the intersection of Red Lion Road.

A 2018 tractor-trailer, traveling north on Route 13, failed to stop, hitting the Equinox and causing it to spin out of control until it struck a tree. The Manloves were taken to Christiana Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

I'm imagining a DD scenario [Democrat Doom], where either Biden, Obama, or Hillary are directly tied to fraudulent ballots printed in China. Complete with payoff money FROM china or Soros. The US Post Office is then directly tied to (A) storing empty ballots in select locations, and (B) fucking with the mail to prevent [R] ballots from arriving, or load the system with [D] ballots. Finally, [Dem] strategists will be directly tied to coordination and harvesting efforts, part of which will involve COLLUSION with the media to hide the facts.

 

Based on what we have learned here, this may not be far from the truth.

The tractor-trailer driver – a 41-year-old man from Ephrata, Pennsylvania – was not injured. Police have not said why he didn't stop at the red light.

Elaine worked in elections in Delaware for two decades, retiring in June of last year. She was state elections commissioner for 12 of those years.

Frank Calio, who was state elections commissioner before Manlove, said he was told by former coworkers of the Manloves' passing.

"She was a good person," Calio said. "She did her job and she knew her job well."

She served on the U.S. Election Assistance Commission Standards Board during her tenure, and was instrumental in bringing automatic voter registration to Delaware via the Division of Motor Vehicles.

At the time of her retirement, Elaine said she stepped down when she did because "I’m old and it’s time for someone else to take over," she told the University of Minnesota's Election Academy.

"My term ends in 2020, but I don’t think it’s fair to the next person to be on the learning curve in a presidential election year," she said.

She also said in that interview that she has grandchildren, and wanted to spend more time with them β€” and at the beach.

Delaware officials who knew the Manloves weighed in on Tuesday, expressing their condolences to the family.

U.S. Sen. Tom Carper said he and his wife were "devastated" by the news, and called Elaine "a consummate public servant" and "a visionary."

She was "incredibly committed to honest and secure elections," Carper said.

Because of insane amount of "mail-in" votes, from what I understand.

Voted around 4:30ish, and was shocked to see only 260-some people voted before me, in person, according to the counter on the machine. The city does have like 40 different precincts. And was before 5pm. But from what I understand, it was mostly mail-ins that were being counted. Which is even moar fishy when one has an understanding of the various populations inhabiting the city. Because certain groups may or may not have the tendency to ballot-harvest certain things to force various agendas then hide behind whatever cards they need to play to shield their shady shit. Then again, there are a disturbing number of brainwashed idiots that make me not want to leave the house, because I'm trapped in hell

My question is… Why do we accept as fact that America's "cities" will naturally turn blue? What is your answer when someone asks you why cities are always blue? "Minorities always vote democrat" Where did this assumption come from?

 

Go to 2016 detailed results for example "Wayne County" Michigan. Examine each district and adjoining districts. Do "illegals, Hispanics and blacks" only live in big cities and not rural areas and do they all vote democrat 98% of the time? There are not enough minorities in these cities to swing the votes to such extremes.

Right now in 2020 no one questions how counties like Washtenaw and Wayne county in Michigan can have such extreme opposite numbers from the rest of our state. A flash of luck helped astronomers solve a cosmic mystery: What causes powerful but fleeting radio bursts that zip and zigzag through the universe?

 

Scientists have known about these energetic pulses β€” called fast radio bursts β€” for about 13 years and have seen them coming from outside our galaxy, which makes it harder to trace them back to what’s causing them. Making it even harder is that they happen so fast, in a couple of milliseconds.

 

Then this April, a rare but considerably weaker burst coming from inside our own Milky Way galaxy was spotted by two dissimilar telescopes: one a California doctoral student’s set of handmade antenna s, which included actual cake pans, the other a $20 million Canadian observatory.

 

They tracked that fast radio burst to a weird type of star called a magnetar that’s 32,000 light-years from Earth, according to four studies in Wednesday’s journal Nature.

 

It was not only the first fast radio burst traced to a source, but the first emanating from our galaxy. Astronomers say there could be other sources for these bursts, but they are now sure about one guilty party: magnetars.

 

Magnetars are incredibly dense neutron stars, with 1.5 times the mass of our sun squeezed into a space the size of Manhattan. They have enormous magnetic fields that buzz and crackle with energy, and sometimes flares of X-rays and radio waves burst from them, according to McGill University astrophysicist Ziggy Pleunis, a co-author of the Canadian study.

 

The magnetic field around these magnetars β€œis so strong any atoms nearby are torn apart and bizarre aspects of fundamental physics can be seen,” said astronomer Casey Law of the California Institute of Technology, who wasn’t part of the research.

 

There are maybe a dozen or so of these magnetars in our galaxy, apparently because they are so young and part of the star birth process, and the Milky Way is not as flush with star births as other galaxies, said Cornell University Shami Chatterjee, who wasn’t part of either discovery team.

 

This burst in less than a second contained about the same amount of energy that our sun produces in a month, and still that’s far weaker than the radio bursts detected coming from outside our galaxy, said Caltech radio astronomer Christopher Bochenek. He helped spot the burst with handmade antennas.

From what I understand -someone correct me if I'm wrong- the problem with the felt tip/ink bleedtrough is that the machines that read/count the ballots can get 'confused' and invalidate the votes. The votes still can be manually read/scanned.

But if the intention was to hand out ink markers/sharpies intentionally because you planned to skew the vote, you would be able to discard the 'invalid/unreadable' Trump(R) votes and manually scan/correct the Biden(D) votes.
