Trump lawsuits unlikely to impact outcome of U.S. election, experts say

 

WILMINGTON, Del (Reuters) - President Donald Trump called in his lawyers to shore up his dimming re-election prospects, but legal experts said the flurry of lawsuits had little chance of changing the outcome but might cast doubt on the process.

 

As Trumpโ€™s paths to victory narrowed, his campaign on Thursday was ramping up legal challenges and filed its latest case in Nevada.

 

On Wednesday, the campaign sued in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia and asked to join a pending case at the U.S. Supreme Court.

 

Experts said the litigation serves to drag out the vote count and postpone major media from declaring Biden the victor, which would have dire political implications for Trump.

 

โ€œThe current legal maneuvering is mainly a way for the Trump campaign to try to extend the ball game in the long-shot hope that some serious anomaly will emerge,โ€ said Robert Yablon, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. โ€œAs of now, we havenโ€™t seen any indication of systematic irregularities in the vote count.โ€

the ironic thing is the mail in ballot paper has now been proven to have microdots unique to only official printers. even microdots that were perhaps not disclosed to the individual states in addition to their unique state level watermarks and security features.

If they tried to print duplicates with a chinese factor providing the exact security features.. perhaps there is a way for DHS to detect the difference.

The governance machinery controlled by elected representatives is tightly constrained in what it can and cannot do. It can't do anything to stop the debasement of the nation's currency, which is totally controlled by the Politburo of the Fed, nor can it do much to limit the Imperial Project, other than feel-good PR bits here and there.

 

The president wields vast powers but even the president is powerless to stop the debasement of the nation's currency and the enrichment of bankers, financiers, corporations, etc., who fund the campaigns of the gladiators, oops I mean politicians.

 

If we set aside the term Deep State and simply call it the unelected machinery of governance (Permanent Government), we get a clear picture of its scope and power. Presidents, senators and representatives come and go, but the machinery of Empire grinds on, decade after decade.

 

A great many people and places in America don't matter to the Fed or the Permanent Government, and so they've been abandoned to their fates. The darlings of the Fed and Empire are clustered in Silicon Valley and other urban hubs where the technological and financial machinery of global hegemony are fabricated and maintained.

 

Those far from these centers of banking, finance and Big Tech have little to no stake as owners of meaningful capital. All they have to sell is their labor, and that's been losing purchasing power for decades as financialization and globalization have stripmined rural America and enriched the bankers, financiers and speculators who serve the Fed and unelected Permanent Government.

 

The Fed and the Permanent Government have been very, very good to the few at the expense of the many. Look at the chart below at America's complete dominance when measured by the soaring wealth of its top 1% power elite: We're Number One in wealth, income and power inequality, yea for the Fed and the Empire! Oregon has been experiencing riots almost every night for the last several months and the Governor, Kate Brown, finally requested the National Guard to activate and quell the destruction for the riots that erupted Wednesday night. Well if you think about it, all counties issue Voter ID numbers and that is the answer right there. They can update all numbers nationally to unique identifier #'s and it can follow you wherever you go which would make it just as difficult to commit fraud because if you don't have this unique identifier you simply cannot vote. There is no question that Mishkin and Fox News deliberately called Arizona early on Tuesday in a deliberate attempt to rig a close presidential election where who was perceived to be the winner would be very important going forward.

 

Fox News refused to call easy pro-Trump states like Texas, still hasnโ€™t called Alaska, but Arizona โ€” which is still way too close to call according to everyone, including Democrats, Fox called immediately and prematurely, not because the numbers were there, but to shift the Trump-Is-Winning narrative in the event of a close election.

 

Which is what happened.

 

It worked.

 

Worse still, Fox wonโ€™t retract the call, which means Fox will declare Joe Biden president-elect before all the votes have been counted.

 

Fox News is worse than CNN and will hopefully never recover from this. Their reputation is shot and they deserve to lose all their right-leaning viewers.

 

The reason Fox News is worse than CNN is because CNN only claims to be objective and unbiased โ€” which is a lie of course, but nowhere near as wicked as the Fox News lie โ€” which is to lure us into believing Fox News is on our side.

School Forces 9-Year-Old Girl To Remove โ€˜Jesus Loves Meโ€™ Mask. Parents File Federal Lawsuit.

 

In early October, a nine-year-old Christian Mississippi girl who wore a โ€œJesus Loves Meโ€ mask to school was forced to remove it and replace it with one the school approved.

 

On Monday, her parents, Matthew and Jennifer Booth, filed a federal lawsuitalleging religious discrimination.

 

The lawsuit notes that the schoolโ€™s โ€œReligious Speech Policy prohibits messages on masks that are โ€˜political, religious, sexual or inappropriate symbols, gestures or statements that may be offensive, disruptive or deemed distractive to the school environment.โ€

 

The lawsuit states that the censorship of the studentโ€™s religious message, and the โ€œReligious Speech Policy and practice on which that censorship is based, violate the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution.โ€

 

On October 8, the Boothโ€™s daughter, Lydia, wore the mask to Simpson Central School. During a computer class, the teacher told her she could not wear a mask with words on it but did not instruct her to remove it, the lawsuit alleges. When Lydia informed her mother Jennifer, Jennifer was confused because Lydia had worn the mask before without any problem and had seen other students with masks that had words on them, according to the lawsuit. Jennifer then researched whether the schoolโ€™s policy barred masks with words.

 

The lawsuit asserts that unable to find such a reference, Jennifer then posted on Facebook that Lydia would wear the mask again on October 13. That morning, the schoolโ€™s principal contacted Jennifer Booth and said that Lydiaโ€™s mask violated the schoolโ€™s dress code, according to the lawsuit. The code prohibits โ€œclothing, advertising, alcoholic beverages or drug culture, clothing with obscene language or gestures or clothing of any suggestive nature.โ€

 

The principal of the school poked her head into the classroom and winked at Lydia, and then the teacherโ€™s assistant asked Lydia to change her mask before lunch so that no one saw her. Lydia then replaced the mask with one with a panda on it, the lawsuit claims.

 

The same afternoon, Jennifer Booth emailed the superintendent of the district and the principal, stating, โ€œI am requesting my child return to wearing her mask TODAY and have an apology to her from the school district.โ€ The lawsuit states that when she was picked up from school, Lydia was upset because she could not wear her โ€œJesus Loves Meโ€ mask to school.

 

The Alliance Defending Freedom is representing Lydia and her family. ADF legal counsel Michael Ross stated:

 

Public schools have a duty to respect the free expression of students that the First Amendment guarantees to them. While school administrators face challenges in helping students navigate school life during a pandemic, those officials simply canโ€™t suspend the First Amendment or arbitrarily pick and choose the messages that students can or canโ€™t express. Other students within the school district have freely worn masks with the logos of local sports teams or even the words โ€˜Black Lives Matter.โ€™ This student deserves an equal opportunity to peacefully express her beliefs.

Military Sending Rape Cases to Court-Martial Without Enough Evidence to Convict, Report Finds

 

Military units are sending rape cases to court-martial without enough evidence to convict the accused โ€“ a miscalculation that harms the military justice process, a Pentagon advisory board has found.

 

In a report released last month, the Defense Advisory Committee on Investigation, Prosecution and Defense of Sexual Assault in the Armed Forces found that of 235 cases of "penetrative sexual assault" rape or sodomy sent to court-martial, nearly a third, or 73, did not have enough evidence to convict.

 

According to the committee, 71 of those cases "predictably โ€ฆ resulted in acquittals of the accused on those offenses at trial."

 

Of the two remaining cases, one was overturned on appeal due to insufficient evidence.

 

"There is a systemic problem with the referral of penetrative sexual offense charges to trial by general court-martial when there is not sufficient admissible evidence to obtain and sustain a conviction on the charged offense," committee members wrote. "In the Committee's view, the decision to refer charges to trial by general court-martial in the absence of sufficient admissible evidence to obtain and sustain a conviction has significant negative implications for the accused, the victim, and the military justice process."

 

As part of their mission to advise the secretary of defense on the military's handling of sexual assault cases, the committee members, including legal experts and retired military personnel, reviewed 1,904 cases of rape that were prosecuted and closed in fiscal 2017.

 

They found that no action was taken in 70%, or 1,336, of the cases. Fifty-one cases, or 2.7%, were referred to nonjudicial punishment, and charges were preferred in 27.2%, or 517, of cases.

 

Of those eventually sent to court-martial, about half were tried for sexual assault while the other half were tried for a charge other than rape. Eventually, 91, or less than 5% of the original cases, resulted in a conviction of sexual assault.

 

In its extensive review of the case documents, the committee found, however, that commanders rightfully decided when to charge the accused or take no action in most of the cases.

 

The members concluded that there is "not a systemic problem with the initial disposition authority's decision either to prefer a penetrative sexual offense charge or take no action."

 

Advocates for victims of military sexual assault and some Democratic lawmakers have sought for years to remove convening authority in such cases from commanders.

A new documentary series produced in Israel tells the story of the Iron Dome missile system, but as Kathryn Shihadah reports, it leaves out crucial details about how the weapon is used and who funded it.

 

A new docuseries produced in Israel chronicles the development and use of Israelโ€™s multi-billion dollar, U.S.-subsidized Iron Dome missile defense system. The mechanism, an extension of Americaโ€™s own military-industrial complex, is designed to intercept primitive rockets from Gaza and epitomizes Israelโ€™s approach to Palestinian resistance: denial and disproportionality.

 

These factors also play a part in Israelโ€™s defense industry as a whole โ€“ an enterprise that profits from the suffering of Palestinians who are forced to live under the thumb of modern-day colonialism and occupation by Israelโ€™s structure of institutionalized apartheid. Palestinians oppose their systemic oppression in a David vs. Goliath scenario, resisting their occupier with homemade rockets; while Israel, one of the largest militaries in the world, uses the most modern and sophisticated weaponry on the planet to terrorize its victims.

 

Israel is both joining and competing with the U.S. domination of the global weapons industry. The three-hour series entitled โ€œIron Domeโ€ premiered around the world last month in Hebrew on Izzy, a platform that calls itself โ€œthe new way to experience Israel.โ€

 

Denial of facts

 

The series features Israelis from the town of Sderot, near the Gaza border, as they look back on the past twenty years or so and discuss their two primary enemies: rockets, and an Israeli government that for a long time didnโ€™t seem to care about them.

 

The first rocket came from Gaza in 2001 and the first rocket fatality in 2004. By 2007, 10 Israelis had been killed โ€“ all but one in Sderot โ€“ and the Israeli government, at last, got behind the development of a missile defense system: the Iron Dome.

 

Israel came down hard on Gaza in the winter of 2008-2009 in hopes of bringing an end to the rockets that had by then taken 12 Israeli lives. The incursion, which featured Israelโ€™s latest weaponry at the time, killed 1,400 Palestinians, over 450 of them women and children, and nine Israelis.

 

The โ€œIron Domeโ€ series does not mention these statistics, nor does it divulge the source of Palestinian anger and resentment: being kept illegally in exile in Gaza, and under occupation since 1967. Gaza is the worldโ€™s largest open-air prison, with a dense population of nearly two million people with no ability to leave. Israel retains complete control of its border and not even humanitarian supplies, human rights monitors, or journalists are allowed to enter.

 

This brutal Israeli blockade has been in place since 2007, severely limiting Gazansโ€™ access to food, medicine, and other staples, and earning the enclave the nickname โ€œworldโ€™s largest open-air prisonโ€ and the designation โ€œunlivable.โ€ Its two million residents grapple with malnutrition, a severe shortage of drinking water, electricity โ€“ and hope. Suicide rates have been increasing at an alarming rate.

Why Does Biden Have So Many More Votes Than Democrat Senators In Swing States?

 

In most elections, the majority of votes are cast "down the ticket" - meaning, a voter supports both party's presidential nominee and state Congressional candidates. In fact, according to Pew Research, "overwhelming shares of voters who are supporting Trump and Biden say they are also supporting the same-party candidate for Senate."

 

Typically, this means that that the number of votes for a presidential candidate and that party's Senate candidates are relatively close.

 

Twitter user "US Rebel" (@USRebellion1776), however, found that the number of votes cast for Joe Biden far exceeds those cast for that state's Senate candidates in swing states, while those cast for Trump and GOP Senators remains far closer.

 

In Michigan, for example, there was a difference of just 7,131 votes between Trump and GOP candidate John James, yet the difference between Joe Biden and Democratic candidate Gary Peters was a staggering 69,093.

 

In Georgia, there was an 818 vote difference between Trump and the GOP Senator, vs. a 95,000 difference between Biden and the Democratic candidate for Senator.

 

In Georgia, it's even worse.

I ran the numbers in 2018 and the same patterns were just as prominent, but at smaller scale. A lot of discrepancy between R Governor and R Senator, or D Governor and R Senator, etc. A lot of non-votes too, like a vote for governor with no vote for any senator.

 

No sauce to add other than this insight. It takes time to do this type of research but these anomalies are everywhere. Certainly, some are valid, but a great many of them do emit a foul odor.
