Georgia’s Raffensperger Caught in Another Scandal – After His Claims that “Audits” of Georgia’s Voting Machines and Election Were Performed by a Certified Auditor Come into Question

Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is the face of 2020 Election sham. His actions in Georgia were reprehensible. And now we caught him in another scandal.

It’s really hard to find the words to describe Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s actions during the 2020 election cycle. We’ve reported extensively on his actions and today can add more dishonesty on his part to the list.

To this day there are hundreds of thousands of ballots that were lacking the legal documentation to confirm the results in Georgia in the 2020 election. Secretary of State Raffensperger certified the results anyway.

Hundreds of thousands of ballots lack the proper documentation required by law to confirm their validity. These votes should never have been certified by anyone:

But there’s more. Raffensperger used a firm to audit the Dominion voting machines before and after the 2020 election. But Raffensperger withheld information on the audit firm and actually lied about its certifications.

Attorney Sidney Powell told the World Tribune:

“There should be an investigation, a thorough criminal investigation, frankly, of everyone involved in acquiring the Dominion [Voting] System for the state of Georgia,” attorney Sidney Powell said.

Powell is right.

Georgia’s Secretary of State Raffensperger withheld pertinent information from Georgia’s voters and outright lied about the firm auditing Georgia’s machines and vote.

Jeff Carlson at the Markets Work shared this in early December:

The firm hired by Georgia’s secretary of state to conduct an “audit” of Dominion Voting Systems technology used during the 2020 elections is the same one that previously certified the Dominion systems and also approved a last-minute system-wide software change just weeks before the election.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger failed to disclose that the company, Pro V&V, had a preexisting relationship with Dominion that dated back years, in his Nov. 17 statement announcing the results of the audit.

Raffensperger also failed to disclose that Dominion had used technical conclusions from Pro V&V in a pre-election Georgia lawsuit that questioned the reliability of Dominion’s systems during a last-minute software fix before the Nov. 3 election. The testing from Pro V&V had been characterized as “superficial” and “cursory testing” by an expert cited in court documents.

In the widely quoted statement, Raffensperger said that the audit of Dominion machines was complete, there was “no sign of foul play,” and that “Pro V&V found no evidence” of tampering with the machines:

exactly why does the price of a stock go up when lots of people buy it?

I get supply/demand.

But what I don't understand is WHO or WHAT does the price changes? And why?

Obviously the fundamentals of the company do not warrant the price increase in cases such as GameStop. And obviously stock prices don't go up each & every time there is a buyer because even when a stock is sinking there are BUYERS on the other end and yet the price still goes down.

Amid a boycott in response to its politically motivated decision to drop Mike Lindell’s MyPillow products, shares of Bed Bath & Beyond plunged 36.4% at the close of trading Thursday. The retail chain suffered its biggest one-day loss since going public in June 1992.

The consumer organization Media Action Network launched the boycott of Bed, Bath & Beyond after the retail chain stopped selling Lindell’s products due to his support of President Trump’s claim that fraud affected the outcome of the 2020 election. Retailers Wayfair and Kohl’s also have stopped selling MyPillow products.

Lindell, famous for his TV ads, employs more than 1,500 people at his Minnesota plant. He recounted to WND last May the remarkable transformation in his life through his faith in Jesus Christ.

“This isn’t about pillows. It’s about the continual punishment of conservative speech,” Media Action Network founder Ken LaCorte said in an announcement of the boycott.

“And we’ve had enough.”

Former FBI Lawyer Kevin Clinesmith Sentenced to PROBATION After Falsifying Document in Trump Spygate Scandal

Update: Kevin Clinesmith has been sentenced to PROBATION.

Judge James (((Boasberg)))held a hearing on Friday to sentence Kevin Clinesmith, the FBI lawyer charged by John Durham for making a false statement after altering evidence to obtain a FISA warrant on Carter Page.

Clinesmith plead guilty in August to one charge of making false statements 18 USC 1001 a(3) “makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry.”

Clinesmith altered Carter Page evidence to support the FISA warrant used to spy on the Donald Trump campaign in 2016.

Carter Page previously worked as a source for the CIA, however Clinesmith falsely said Page was “never” a CIA source.

Judge Boasberg gave Carter Page a chance to speak Friday morning at the sentencing hearing.

Mr. Page said he first collaborated with the CIA while he was in the military and never betrayed their trust.

Page said his life “spun out of control” after Obama’s goons falsely alleged he was a traitor and perhaps working as a double agent for Russia.

Mueller’s thugs harassed Carter Page and physically searched his belongings and hotel room and took photographs in 2017.

DOJ attorney Scarpelli requested a “more significant sentence” of prison – the recommended sentence is 3-6 months in prison. Kevin Clinesmith’s lawyer threw others in the FBI and DOJ under the bus and said that Clinesmith wasn’t the only one ‘made mistakes in the FISA applications.’

Clinesmith ‘has lived his life in service of others’ the lawyer argued.

Clinesmith’s lawyers are also trying to use the old Covid excuse to keep him out of prison (he already had Covid).

Eyebrows were raised on social media after former US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official Laura Unger made a “revealing” comment comparing the frantic buying of GameStop and other stocks to the US Capitol riot.

Unger, who became a commissioner at the SEC in 1997 and was made acting chairman by George W. Bush for half of 2001, joined CNBC’s ‘Closing Bell’ on Thursday to give her thoughts on trading app Robinhood halting and then limiting the buying of stocks in companies such as GameStop and AMC, which saw significant boosts to their values after a buying frenzy by individuals motivated by a subreddit group this week.

The chaos in the marketplace, Unger claims, is “not unlike what we saw on January 6 at the Capitol,” referring to the storming of the Capitol by pro-Donald Trump supporters – a riot that led to five deaths, including that of a police officer.

“If you don’t have the police in there at the right time, things go a little crazy,” she said. She did acknowledge, however, that the happenings in the stock market were a kind of crazy of a “lesser degree” than the violence the country saw in Washington, DC earlier this month.

It is, however, the same “platform-created frenzy that people are operating under,” she added, saying Wall Street was living through “trying times.”

According to Unger, the SEC could suspend trading on certain stocks and investigate whether specific market manipulation is happening through a concerted effort, or whether people have a legitimate interest in what they are buying.

Google DELETES 100,000-plus one-star ratings of Robinhood app after enraged retail traders pile negative reviews over GameStop ban

Google has come to the rescue of the stock-trading app Robinhood, deleting negative reviews flooding the company after it had blocked the purchase of stock in companies like GameStop, AMC, and others.

After Robinhood controversially stepped in and made the “risk management decision” to block the purchasing of stocks being made unusually popular thanks to the r/WallStreetBets subreddit, its app on Google Play was inundated with reviews from unsatisfied customers.

The app’s near-perfect rating stumbled to just one star on Thursday after over 100,000 reviews came in. Google has now deleted enough of those reviews, however, that the app’s rating has jumped to over four stars (out of five).

Google admitted to actively deleting the reviews, as they violate a policy the company has on reviews that are published specifically to manipulate a company’s overall rating.

On Apple’s App Store, Robinhood holds a near-perfect five-star rating, though there are numerous one-star reviews from Thursday when the app made the controversial decision to delist certain stocks for individual traders, a move that has drawn the ire of everyone from Sen. Portuguese parliament approves legalization of euthanasia despite last-minute attempt to delay vote

Euthanasia is to become legal in Portugal after the country’s parliament voted on Friday to allow terminally ill patients to seek assistance from a doctor to end their lives, becoming only the seventh nation in the world to do so.

The euthanasia law was passed with 136 votes in favor, 78 against, and four abstaining.

The U.S. Bishops’ Conference (USCCB) has condemned President Biden’s reinstatement of taxpayer-funded abortions around the world, calling his act “grievous.”

The hedge funds HAVE to buy them, and the retail investors know this, and are holding on, causing the price increase. No different than an auction where multiple people desperately want an item. The seller can wait it out until the bidding stops.

Since people are likely not dumping tons of shares at these prices, the game is still on…remember the stock price represents the price of the most recent sale. So if you held 100k you could decide to ask market price +10% for just a few hundred shares. It would quickly sell, and the price would move. But remember, not everyone buying is a hedge fund, there a lots more speculators competing for these stocks, and people are even buying partial shares as well.

A Swedish politician, allegedly a member of the ruling Social Democrats, was caught accidentally showing pornography to colleagues during a remote meeting in the city of Uppsala.

The incident occurred during a remote board meeting of the local city government and saw the unnamed politician accidentally share their screen with the rest of the participants in the meeting. the screen revealed the politician was allegedly browsing Japanese-style manga pornography.

“There were a lot of sex pictures, it was so rough that no one took it seriously. I thought we were hacked or something,” one of the participants to the meeting told Swedish broadcaster SVT.

The participant said the person later admitted to having shared their screen in error and told the broadcaster, “I think the person crossed the line. If you are at a political meeting where you are paid, you should have full focus on the issues and nothing else.”

SVT also spoke to the individual who showed the pictures to the meeting. The politician described the pictures as “manga pictures” and said they felt ashamed. The politician apologised and later resigned from their position on the board.

Sarah Havneraas, a local Christian democrat politician, identified the man as a member of the Social Democrats on Twitter saying, “Tips for all left-wing feminists who are looking for more to talk about: Social Democrat porn surfs at a paid committee meeting in Uppsala and happens to share a screen with all participants.”

“But maybe it’s ok because he was a Social Democrat?” she added.

The incident comes just months after CNN contributor and former New Yorker writer Jeffrey Toobin was caught masturbating during a Zoom call with employees of the New Yorker and WNYC radio in October.

While Toobin was suspended from the New Yorker following the incident, CNN kept Toobin on as a contributor but noted that Toobin has chosen to take time off to deal with a “personal issue.”

A similar situation occurred in June of 2017 when former Vanity Fair editor Kurt Eichenwald posted a picture to Twitter with an open tab of Japanese-style manga pornography.

Eichenwald admitted to browsing the pornography, saying, ” Believe it or not, my kids & I were trying to convince my wife that ‘tentacle porn’ existed.”

Biden DoJ Reportedly Invites Former Big Tech Defender to Lead Admin's Antitrust Division

The great antitrust challenge of the next decade will be Big Tech, an arena controlled by a few consolidated players who wield massive power over who can communicate what message. That this power is used frequently and with an agenda goes without saying.

So naturally, the new Biden administration is meeting the challenge by hiring a lawyer who once represented Big Tech to lead one of the federal government’s key antitrust divisions.

According to a Thursday report from The American Prospect and The Intercept, attorney general nominee Merrick Garland wants Susan Davies, the lawyer who represented him during his failed Supreme Court nomination, to head up the Department of Justice’s antitrust division.

Davies, who also served under Garland during their time in the Clinton administration, represented Facebook in a 2012 lawsuit against the maker of a third-party app for the social media platform that relied on an advertising-based model to cover costs.

Facebook would ban the app and lure its clients away, according to Law360. Not only that, users had to disable all products by the app maker — Sambreel Holdings LLC — causing it to lose a million users within a week.

Davies is one of those rare picks who should aggravate both the right and left, even while it sounds all the right notes in the squishier parts of the establishment mire.

She represented Facebook in her capacity as a lawyer with Kirkland & Ellis LLP, described by The Intercept’s Ryan Grim and The American Prospect’s David Dayen as a “right-leaning firm” that was “at one point home to Robert Bork, a now-deceased conservative legal scholar and rejected Supreme Court nominee; Kenneth Starr, best-known for his role as independent counsel during Clinton’s impeachment and who has now joined Trump’s impeachment team; conservative Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh; John Bolton, a former national security adviser for President Donald Trump; Alex Azar, Trump’s secretary of health and human services; and Trump’s Attorney General William Barr.”

They wrote that the rest of Davies’ client roster “is equally worrying to opponents of concentrated power, as she has spent most of the last decade working on behalf of major mergers, fending off antitrust enforcement, and, as her law firm bio puts it, ‘frequently interact[ed] with regulators and policy makers on behalf of corporate clients.'”

Facebook is one of two Big Tech firms being sued by the federal government over antitrust concerns. The Federal Trade Commission sued the social media giant in December, as CNBC noted, following its purchase of photo- and video-sharing social network Instagram and messaging platform WhatsApp. (Google is also being sued by the DOJ.)

“Since toppling early rival Myspace and achieving monopoly power, Facebook has turned to playing defense through anticompetitive means,” the FTC’s lawsuit alleges.

Last year there were numerous warnings and recalls on toxic, blinding, and deadly hand sanitizers. This included warnings that some brands were being mistaken for food or drinks due to misleading packaging. The FDA issued additional warnings this week.

More than half of hand sanitizers imported from Mexico contain dangerous levels of toxic ingredients and should not be used by consumers, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In January alone, more than 900 accidental poisonings involving hand sanitizer were reported in the U.S., the overwhelming majority involving young children.

The FDA on Tuesday issued a countrywide import alert for alcohol-based hand sanitizers from Mexico, the agency’s latest attempt to address a pandemic-induced spike in products contaminated with methanol, or wood alcohol. The substance, which in most cases is not listed as an ingredient on the labels, can be toxic when absorbed through the skin, and life-threatening when ingested.

“Although people using these products on their hands are at risk for methanol poisoning, young children who ingest these products and adolescents and adults who drink these products as an alcohol substitute are most at risk,” the FDA noted.

The increased use of hand sanitizers has led to a surge in accidental poisonings, most involving children. According to data from the National Poison Data System, there were 938 hand-sanitizer exposure cases reported to the 55 U.S. Poison Control Centers during a 10-day period, from January 1, 2021 to January 10, a 57% increase from a year ago. Of those cases, nearly 600 involved children ages 5 and younger.

Pentagon Says Date for Afghan Pullout Uncertain, Is Biden Rethinking Peace?

Pentagon accuses Taliban of failing to meet commitments

Questions about how US foreign policy is going to shake out between President Trump and President Biden have been the subject of a lot of speculation, and Afghanistan looks to be the first place this change will be addressed.

On Thursday, the Pentagon announced that the pullout date from Afghanistan is now uncertain, and would be entirely conditional on the Taliban meeting a series of commitments. Press Secretary John Kirby insists the Taliban failed to meet a number of commitments.

They didn’t address specific grievances, but from the February 29 deal, it would be fair for either the US or Taliban to say that some of the terms were not met as expected. In general, the US and Taliban have avoided major fighting with one another, and the US pullout is at least on schedule so far.

President Trump was long ahead of pace on the pullout from Afghanistan, but it may have been a mistake for him not to wrap things up before the inauguration, particularly when Biden’s intentions were so unclear.

As far as Biden’s position goes, it was so unclear that the Taliban started holding up the intra-Afghan talks specifically to see if there was still a peace to be negotiated. They are no doubt still wondering.

Biden is the final decision-maker, but the military is emphasizing that he’s “reviewing” the process, and if he’s getting military feedback that could be a bad sign. In 2017 the military talked Trump out of ending the war, and seems every bit as pessimistic about the process now. If Biden went in waiting for what the military brass says, it could very well be another reversal back into Afghanistan.

This far into the pullout, it seems like it would take a lot less effort to complete Trump’s deal than return to a state of war that the US clearly isn’t winning, and 20 years later is finally on the verge of climbing out of.

It isn’t, after all, as if the US is claiming victory in Afghanistan’s impossibly long war, or has plans for such a victory. A negotiated settlement was the best there was to be had, and dragging it on longer probably is just going to further delay the deal that was the best they could ever get.

In selling this as the Taliban not living up to the deal, it would raise questions about the many US airstrikes on Taliban targets since then, also clearly in violation of the deal. It may have been an imperfect rollout, but it was the best anyone could hope for at this point.

New US SecDef and Israeli Defense Minister Discuss Iran in First Call

President Joe Biden may have said on the campaign trail that Puerto Rico should become a state, but that doesn't mean he supports laws that make it a viable, economically competitive state if doing so means angering maritime unions.

In an executive order signed Monday and in subsequent comments, Biden made it abundantly clear that he supports the Jones Act, a 1920 federal law that requires that cargo ships traveling between American ports be made in America and owned and crewed by American citizens:

The Jones Act is an absolutely terrible law, designed purely for protectionist measures, that shields maritime companies and unions in the United States from competition. The consequence of the Jones Act is that a foreign commerce ship that goes to states like Hawaii or Alaska or to territories like Puerto Rico can engage in domestic trade in only one American port. It can travel to other American ports but cannot take on or deliver goods unless it goes to a foreign port and then returns. A vessel from Japan that's heading to Los Angeles cannot also stop in Hawaii along the way and engage in commerce, despite the logical economic efficiencies in doing so.

Supporters of the Jones Act insist that these protections are necessary to sustain American jobs and to maintain a viable shipping industry. But those arguments are not supported by the data. In reality, as researchers with the Cato Institute have found, American shipyards have been in a long decline as a result, and most of the ships we build are almost entirely for use in our own waters. It's cheaper to build large vessels overseas than in America, but since they cannot operate in America due to the Jones Act's requirement, U.S. shipping companies can't buy them.

The end result for the shipping industry has been completely backward. America produces fewer ships, by weight, than much smaller countries like Italy and Germany. It also hamstrings American competitiveness in international shipping because it costs more to operate U.S. vessels than their foreign counterparts. U.S. ships engaged in international trade aren't bound by the Jones Act, but they're all also foreign built.

Are we not now in the same position as the banks were in 2008? Buy us out of our positions for $700 billion to save the rest of the market and the normal people right?

Edit because it got attention: if this ever was a reality it would in the form of a loan to clearinghouses and brokers to cover any losses up to $10k per share. They would have to pay it back over time. The government would get the money back and reimburse taxpayers, while at the same time collecting taxes from the gains of the retail investors. Long term the clearinghouses and brokers recover, the market continues to function, and then they never let hedge funds put on a risky play like that ever again. The hedge funds involved are deservedly bankrupt, and the retail traders get the reward they deserve by playing the free market game by the rules.

A call is a contract - yes, it has a number of shares 'attached' to it but you don't trade in the shares themselves.

I should know as I have traded calls and puts myself. I am not interested in the share price but the option (call or put) price and how much time is left before it expires.

To give you a real world example from something I actually did….

I purchased put options (betting on the market to fall) on Dell for $5 with an expiry of 3 weeks. They were cheap because they were way below where the market was in realtime.

I bought 7 of them for a total cost of $35.

On the day of expiry the shares drop like a tank and the put options became valuable to the tune of $100 each because the price went below where I had purchased the put options and due to that the options were now 'in-the-money' and reflected (to a degree) the real value of the actual shares themeselves.

Total profit for the entire trade was $665.

That's nearly a 2,000% profit.

Guard Has to Order from DC Restaurants After Food Contract Comes Up Short

A food contract between a supplier and the National Guard did not provide enough meals, forcing units still deployed to Washington, D.C., to buy local, Military.com has learned.

Because of the mix-up and shortage of meals, the Guard resorted to buying "a large quantity of various food choices off of the local economy," according to Army Maj. Aaron Thacker, a Guard Bureau spokesman.

There was never a risk of a food shortage, he emphasized.

"There are contingencies to the master feeding plan that are put in motion in the event that the primary feeding plan has an issue," Thacker said in an email Thursday, adding there were also "tens of thousands" of Meals, Ready-to-Eat on hand if necessary. Further details into how much the Guard spent on local restaurants and providers and how many members were given these meals over contractor-provided food were not immediately available.

Guardsmen were spotted eating Chick-fil-A this week. Thacker noted that the USO has partnerships with restaurants and other businesses and offered the Guard support, although this was not used for main subsistence.

"Corporations and other groups make donations to the USO … and the USO decides how to offer those donations as support to the military," he said. "[But] those donations are not a replacement for any food provided by the military – it is only a supplement to boost morale."

In an unrelated effort started early in the deployment, 18 restaurants around Capitol Hill donated meals to troops – from pizza to burgers to doughnuts. Some, including local chain We the Pizza, offered residents the chance to donate pizzas to the troops at $3 per head.

Nearly 26,000 Guard troops from every state and territory deployed to the D.C. region for President Joe Biden's Jan. 20 inauguration after a mob of President Donald Trump supporters broke into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

The National Guard presence in Washington will decrease to about 7,000 by the end of this week, Gen. Dan Hokanson, chief of the National Guard Bureau, said Monday, but about 5,000 will remain in the district until at least mid-March.

A contract solicitation from the D.C. National Guard published Jan. 16 shows the Guard's plan to provide "grab and go meals" for troops through the end of the month, as Guard numbers in the district drop week over week.

"The District of Columbia National Guard requests the procurement of meals for 25,000 personnel (22-24 Jan 2021), 21,000 personnel (25 Jan 2021), and 10,000 personnel (26-31 Jan 2021) activated in support of the current civil unrest within the district," the solicitation reads. "This includes three meals per person per day (Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner), to be delivered to the DC Armory, from 22-31 January 2021."

The claim that Guard troops were short of meals first surfaced on social media. In a since-deleted Nextdoor post, a northern Virginia resident asked neighbors whether they knew of any restaurants or organizations willing to work with the Guard to provide food, citing a lack of supplies that particularly affected troops self-isolating in hotel rooms after testing positive for the coronavirus.

That forced the stock price up to a point where banks had to call the shorting brokers with 2 options. Deposit money to cover the risk of the high stockprice, or get out of the market by buying stock at the current insane prices.

At that point hedge funds tried to get out the short position (by buying stock) faster than competing hedgefunds, driving the price up to current level, extra fueled by people who still buy over 300 dollar because fuck it.

A blast outside the Israeli embassy in New Delhi on Friday damaged cars but did not cause injuries, police said.

Israeli authorities were treating the explosion as a suspected attack aimed at the embassy, The Times of Israel has learned, and was stepping up security precautions at missions around the world.

“The assessment is that this was an attempted attack aimed at the embassy this evening,” Ambassador Ron Malka later told Channel 12 News, adding that the blast went off “a few dozen meters from the embassy walls.”

The district around the embassy was sealed off after the explosion and police and bomb disposal experts took over the scene.

A police statement described it as a “very low-intensity improvised device” that blew out the windows on three nearby cars and said a preliminary investigation “suggests a mischievous attempt to create a sensation.”

The New Delhi Television news channel said the explosive device had ball bearings wrapped in a plastic bag and was left on the pavement outside the embassy.

CNN India reported that police had found an envelope near the scene with the words “For Israel Embassy” on it. The report said police were not divulging the content of a letter inside.

There was no immediate police confirmation for either report.

Channel 12 reported that Israeli explosive experts andthe Mossad would be involved in the investigation.
