MORE DETAILS OF THE PODESTA GROUP’S LAST DAYS: A new disclosure filed with the Justice Department sheds a little more light on what happened at the Podesta Group last fall as the firm came apart. The disclosure, which details the firm’s foreign lobbying work in the last six months of 2017, was filed last week, more than three months after it was due. (Foreign agents are required to file reports on their activities every six months under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.) A spokeswoman for Tony Podesta declined to say why the disclosure was filed late.

The disclosure shows that lobbying for the Podesta Group’s foreign clients ground to a halt around the time Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were indicted in October. (Tony Podesta announced he was stepping down hours after the release of the indictment, which accused Manafort and Gates of breaking U.S. law regarding lobbying for foreign clients as part of a campaign for which they hired the Podesta Group.) Podesta Group lobbyists held dozens of meetings and phone calls on behalf of the Azerbaijani government during the second half of last year, for instance, but activity abruptly ceased after a phone call with a staffer for Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.) on Nov. 6, according to the filing. Lobbying for Saudi Arabia’s Center for Studies and Media Affairs ceased on Oct. 23, as did work for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council on Oct. 11. Lobbying for the Indian government stopped on Sept. 29, and lobbying for the Japanese government stopped on Oct. 24. Lobbying for the Democratic Party of Moldova ceased on Sept. 12.

— Just because the lobbying stopped doesn’t mean the Podesta Group stopped getting paid, though. The Japanese government made a final payment of $48,000 to the firm on Dec. 15, a month after most Podesta lobbyists had been told to expect their last paycheck. Azerbaijan’s government paid nearly $78,000 a couple of days earlier. Other foreign clients, including the Democratic Party of Moldova, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Indian government and the Saudi Center for Studies and Media Affairs, made their final payments in November. Despite its troubles, the firm brought in nearly $4.5 million in foreign lobbying revenue in the second half of the year.

Vatican City • Chile’s Catholic bishops said Monday they were open to whatever Pope Francis proposes to overhaul the Chilean church, including the removal of bishops, reforms of seminaries and paying financial reparation to victims of a clergy sex abuse and cover-up scandal.

 

Representatives of the Chilean bishops conference told reporters they were heading into three days of meetings with Francis humbled, pained and shamed for their own errors in handling abuse cases. They said they wanted to listen to Francis and would follow his lead in asking forgiveness of the victims they had discredited.

 

A conference spokesman, Bishop Juan Ignacio Gonzalez, said “it’s possible” some bishops would offer to resign, but that it was up to the pope. “We’ll respect what he says. If he asks, we’ll do it.”

 

Francis summoned the bishops to Rome for an emergency summit after receiving a 2,300-page report on the abuse cover-up scandal, which he had helped fuel. During a visit to Chile in January, Francis strongly defended a bishop, Juan Barros, who was accused by victims of Chile’s most notorious predator priest of having witnessed and ignored their abuse.

 

Francis acknowledged he made “grave errors of judgment” in the case and blamed a “lack of truthful and balanced information” for his missteps.

 

Chile’s bishops have insisted they provided Francis with correct information, and they declined Monday to go into detail about who knew what and when.

 

Gonzalez, the conference spokesman, was among Barros’ strong defenders. He said as recently as January that the accusations against Barros were politically motivated and devoid of proof.

 

On Monday, Gonzalez said he stood by Barros because his “brother felt hurt, alone, a bit abandoned,” and that any good Catholic would have done the same.

 

Victims of the Rev. Fernando Karadima have described the pain and anguish they felt over the support afforded Barros, whom they placed at the scene of their abuse.

 

Barros and two other Karadima-trained bishops are widely expected to resign. But the scandal has tainted other bishops, including one of Francis’ top advisers, the retired archbishop of Santiago.

 

Gonzalez and the secretary general of the conference, Bishop Fernando Ramos, said it was clear that changes were necessary in the Chilean church. They said the seminary training Chilean priests receive needs to include courses on child protection.

I think it's underestimated how many non US anons are working on this. I wouldn't be surprised if most are not in the US. Or at least a substantial part. It's a worldwide event and it's certainly not just about America. It's just that they made the first snowball so to speak.

 

Having said that, I'm not sure what to think of Benjamin Fulford. usually I'd say he's a nut but to be honest I don't know what to believe anymore and nothing can surprise me. I trust Q and POTUS and the evidence we find online. But still many scenario's can unfold.

Black Trump supporter attacked at Cheesecake Factory over MAGA hat: report

 

The Cheesecake Factory is said to be investigating an incident at one of their Miami locations after a black customer claims he was verbally attacked by staff over his “Make America Great Again” hat, the Daily Wire reports.

 

Eugenior Joseph, 22, was reportedly dining with his girlfriend’s family at the Dadeland Mall location of the restaurant on Mother’s Day. His MAGA hat allegedly drew the attention of a female staff member, who gathered her co-workers to confront him, a witness told the site. The witness further claims about a dozen of those employees circled his table, pointing fingers.

 

"So then all the employees started standing there, saying things out loud, like, 'I'm going to knock his head in so hard his hat's going to come off," the source said.

 

Other witnesses for The Daily Wire say some employees used the n-word in reference to Joseph when speaking among themselves, while another brandished his fists.

 

Joseph himself to the Daily Wire that one employee stood behind him, "balling his fists, smacking his fists, trying to scare me."

 

At one point, Joseph claims he and his girlfriend got up to use the restroom, and upon exiting, were greeted by the employees, who were “clapping and yelling, and just screaming things at me.” The kitchen staff also allegedly booed him as he walked by.

 

Joseph and his girlfriend’s family eventually left the restaurant, only to run into police waiting outside, the report says. It is unclear who called the police to the restaurant. Witnesses say the officers did not file any charges against the restaurant or employees.

I’ve had things happen to me and in the company of others that were unexplainable if it were not for Gods existence.

 

Dreams are tricky though because sometimes they have symbolic meaning and are premonitions, sometimes they are premonitions and are literal.

 

I’d say majority of time dreams are just the subconscious manifesting. I remember whenever I used to take Benadryl I’d have the weirdest dreams ever lol.

 

Besides all that some people have gifts for premonitions and if you read bible dreams come up from time to time in that context both symbolic and literal if I recall correctly.

I’ve posted a couple of times on the fiasco that is brewing in federal court in Virginia where Robert Mueller’s crack team are getting ready to have to prosecute at least one, and possibly two, cases they never thought would see the light of day. To recap, under pressure to show he was doing something vaguely related to his charter, Robert Mueller engineered the indictments of three Russian companies, one of which was not even in existence during the 2016 election, and thirteen Russian nationals who we are told exist. I say “told exist” because if you can’t get the existence of a whole company right, you lose the ability to convince me you know the names of individual Russian hackers and have me not laugh.

 

The first fly in the ointment appeared when one of the defendants, Concord Management and Consulting, retained US counsel. Then the counsel showed up in court and they were not overawed by Mueller. In fact, they had an extensive list of items they were demanding under discovery. This will probably, in the fullness of time, place Mueller in the unenviable position of either producing classified information for the defense or dropping the case.

 

But wait, there’s more.

 

As I’ve said since the day the indictment was announced, this was a public relations ploy by Mueller. He indicted a handful of Russians that he thought he’d never have to try. The NeverTrump people and progressives were left in a post-orgasmic swoon. And Mueller went on with whatever it is that he’s doing. Now it seems like his team may have been so confident of the scam they were running that they didn’t even bother to run it properly.

Anthony Weiner was a congressman, a job he meant only to pave the way to an inevitable arrival at Gracie Mansion. But he began exposing himself on the internet, sometimes to children, and today he’s in prison.

Eric Schneiderman, the now-former attorney general, transformed that office into a hyperactive, extra-official ideological enforcement agency, earning unbounded progressive applause along the way — even as he was beating women in private. Schneiderman denies the charges — leveled in The New Yorker — but they are credible, and he is now a private citizen for the first time since 2003.

 

The end came swiftly for the Upper West Side liberal luminary — he quit scarcely three hours after the magazine detailed the particulars — and who’s to doubt that this all came as a profound shock to him. Perhaps not the substance of the charges, of course — but certainly the accountability.

 

New York pols aren’t used to answering for their excesses. Yes, the occasional Preet Bharara lumbers along with halting attempts to enforce the criminal codes — with decidedly mixed results. (Still, thank goodness for the effort.)

 

But apart from the outrageous and egregious — stand up, Anthony Weiner! — high-ranking New York pols generally offend against the spirit of the law, not the letter.

 

Eliot Spitzer’s Sheriff of Wall Street schtick — he bludgeoned targets into submission, rarely gaining actual convictions — was a highly personal abuse of power. It was outside of all previous understanding of the limits if his office, it was solely intended to make him governor — and it worked.

 

Eric Schneiderman used Spitzer’s template as a starting point — suing corporate America for personal political gain and in the end all but declaring legal war on the Trump administration. He too was a serial abuser of power, as well as of women, but who is to doubt that he would have become governor as well? Save for #MeToo?

 

Such things happen in one-party, low-voter-turnout political environments. While violations of the penal code can attract attention — witness the stream of thieving state legislators entering prison over the past decade — there is no natural check on those who do violence to the spirit of democratic self-government. To the rule of law.

 

Worse than that, New York voters love it. Both Spitzer and Schneiderman were wildly popular incumbents. And Weiner was well on his way to becoming mayor in 2013 until he flashed his iPhone one more time and started calling himself Carlos Danger.

 

So no surprise, then, that sociopaths are drawn to high office in the Empire State. It’s fertile ground for those inclined to stretch the law to suit their personal interests, and who then are hailed as heroes for doing so.

 

Thank goodness they usually blow the whistle on themselves. For the system doesn’t much care.

The start of the dream I had like a crows eye view and saw the mountain well. It was surrounded by a forest. My initial thought when I awoke was it was in Montana or some place like that.

 

I’ve never been to Colorado, Montana etc I’ve never seen a mountain in person before I do like the scenery though and would love to see them sometime.

 

The corrugated shacks were kinda patched together and scattered about the woodlands I don’t remember such an orderly arrangement. I remember the clothing we wore was distressed looking like we lived in squalor.

But to justify a revolution, it was not thought to be enough that officials of the government of England, the Parliament, or even the sovereign himself had violated the rights of the people. In some cases, these specific complaints account for provisions eventually included in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

In Our Republican Constitution: Securing the Liberty and Sovereignty of We the People, I explain how the Declaration encapsulated the political theory that lead the Constitution some eleven years later. To appreciate all that is packed into the two paragraphs that comprise the preamble to the list of grievances, it is useful to break down the Declaration into some of its key claims.

 

“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

 

This first sentence is often forgotten. It asserts that Americans as a whole (and not as members of their respective colonies) are a distinct “people.” To “dissolve the political bands” revokes the “social compact” that existed between the Americans and the rest of “the People” of the British commonwealth, reinstates the “state of nature” between Americans and the government of Great Britain, and makes “the Laws of Nature” the standard by which this dissolution and whatever government is to follow are judged. “Declare the causes” indicates they are publicly stating the reasons and justifying their actions rather than acting as thieves in the night. The Declaration is like the indictment of a criminal that states the basis of his criminality. But the ultimate judge of the rightness of their cause will be God, which is why the revolutionaries spoke of an “appeal to heaven”—an expression commonly found on revolutionary banners and flags. As British political theorist John Locke wrote: “The people have no other remedy in this, as in all other cases where they have no judge on earth, but to appeal to heaven.” The reference to a “decent respect to the opinions of mankind” might be viewed as a kind of an international public opinion test. Or perhaps the emphasis is on the word “respect,” recognizing the obligation to provide the rest of the world with an explanation they can evaluate for themselves.

The most famous line of the Declaration. On the one hand, this will become a great embarrassment to a people who permitted slavery. On the other hand, making public claims like this has consequences—that’s why people make them publicly. To be held to account. This promise will provide the heart of the abolitionist case in the nineteenth century, which is why late defenders of slavery eventually came to reject the Declaration. And it forms the basis for Martin Luther King’s metaphor of the civil rights movement as a promissory note that a later generation has come to collect.

What are “unalienable,” or more commonly, “inalienable rights”? Inalienable rights are those you cannot give up even if you want to and consent to do so, unlike other rights that you can agree to transfer or waive. Why the claim that they are inalienable rights? The Founders want to counter England’s claim that, by accepting the colonial governance, the colonists had waived or alienated their rights. The Framers claimed that with inalienable rights, you always retain the ability to take back any right that has been given up.

 

A standard trilogy throughout this period was “life, liberty, and property.” For example, the Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress (1774) read: “That the inhabitants of the English colonies in North-America, by the immutable laws of nature, the principles of the English constitution, and the several charters or compacts, have the following RIGHTS: Resolved, 1. That they are entitled to life, liberty and property: and they have never ceded to any foreign power whatever, a right to dispose of either without their consent.” Or, as John Locke wrote, “no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty, or possessions.”

 

When drafting the Declaration in June of 1776, Jefferson based his formulation on a preliminary version of the Virginia Declaration of Rights that had been drafted by George Mason at the end of May for Virginia’s provincial convention. Here is how Mason’s draft read:

 

THAT all men are born equally free and independent, and have certain inherent natural rights, of which they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; among which are, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.

 

Notice how George Mason’s oft-repeated formulation combines the right of property with the pursuit of happiness. And, in his draft, not only do all persons have “certain . . . natural rights” of life, liberty, and property, but these rights cannot be taken away “by any compact.” These inherent individual natural rights, of which the people cannot divest their posterity, are therefore retained by them, which is helpful in understanding the Ninth Amendment’s reference to the “rights…retained by the people.”

nterestingly, Mason’s draft was slightly altered by the Virginia Convention in Williamsburg on June 11, 1776. After an extensive debate, the officially adopted version read (with the modifications in italics):

 

That all men are by nature equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.

 

This version is still in effect today.

 

According to historian Pauline Meier, by changing “are born equally free” to “are by nature equally free,” and “inherent natural rights” to “inherent rights,” and then by adding “when they enter into a state of society,” defenders of slavery in the Virginia convention could contend that slaves were not covered because they “had never entered Virginia’s society, which was confined to whites.” Yet it was the language of Mason’s radical draft—rather than either Virginia’s final wording or Jefferson’s more succinct formulation—that became the canonical statement of first principles. Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Vermont adopted Mason’s original references to “born equally free” and to “natural rights” into their declarations of rights while omitting the phrase “when they enter into a state of society.” Indeed, it is remarkable that these states would have had Mason’s draft language, rather than the version actually adopted by Virginia, from which to copy. Here is Massachusetts’ version:

This language identifies what is perhaps the central underlying “republican” assumption of the Constitution: that governments are instituted to secure the preexisting natural rights that are retained by the people. In short, that first come rights and then comes government.

Today, there is a tendency to focus entirely on the second half of this sentence, referencing “the consent of the governed,” to the exclusion of the first part, which refers to securing our natural rights. Then, by reading “the consent of the governed” as equivalent to “the will of the people,” the second part of the sentence seems to support majoritarian rule by the people’s “representatives.” In this way, “consent of the governed” is read to mean “consent to majoritarian rule.” Put another way, the people can consent to anything, including rule by a majority in the legislature who will then decide the scope of their rights as individuals.

 

But read carefully, one sees that in this passage the Declaration speaks of “just powers,” suggesting that only some powers are “justly” held by government, while others are beyond its proper authority. And notice also that “the consent of the governed” assumes that the people do not themselves rule or govern, but are “governed” by those individual persons who make up the “governments” that “are instituted among men.”

 

The Declaration stipulates that those who govern the people are supposed “to secure” their preexisting rights, not impose the will of a majority of the people on the minority. And, as the Virginia Declaration of Rights made explicit, these inalienable rights cannot be surrendered “by any compact.” Therefore, the “consent of the governed,” to which the second half of this sentence refers, cannot be used to override the inalienable rights of the sovereign people that are reaffirmed by the first half.

 

In modern political discourse, people tend to favor one of these concepts over the other—either preexistent natural rights or popular consent—which leads them to stress one part of this sentence in the Declaration over the other. The fact that rights can be uncertain and disputed leads some to emphasize the consent part of this sentence and the legitimacy of popularly enacted legislation. But the fact that there is never unanimous consent to any particular law, or even to the government itself, leads others to emphasize the rights part of this sentence and the legitimacy of judges protecting the “fundamental” or “human” rights of individuals and minorities.

 

If we take both parts of this sentence seriously, however, this apparent tension can be reconciled by distinguishing between (a) the ultimate end or purpose of legitimate governance and (b) how any particular government gains jurisdiction to rule. So, while the protection of natural rights or justice is the ultimate end of governance, particular governments only gain jurisdiction to achieve this end by the consent of those who are governed. In other words, the “consent of the governed” tells us which government gets to undertake the mission of “securing” the natural rights that are retained by the people. After all, justifying the independence of Americans from the British government was the whole purpose of the Declaration of Independence.

 

“That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

What follows is a bill of indictment. Several of these items end up in the Bill of Rights. Others are addressed by the form of the government established—first by the Articles of Confederation, and ultimately by the Constitution.

 

The assumption of natural rights expressed in the Declaration of Independence can be summed up by the following proposition: “First comes rights, then comes government.” According to this view: (1) the rights of individuals do not originate with any government, but preexist its formation; (2) the protection of these rights is the first duty of government; and (3) even after government is formed, these rights provide a standard by which its performance is measured and, in extreme cases, its systemic failure to protect rights—or its systematic violation of rights—can justify its alteration or abolition; (4) at least some of these rights are so fundamental that they are “inalienable,” meaning they are so intimately connected to one’s nature as a human being that they cannot be transferred to another even if one consents to do so. At the Founding, these ideas were considered so true as to be self-evident. However, today the idea of natural rights is obscure and controversial. An alliance headed by a controversial cleric has emerged as the likely winner in Iraq’s first national elections since it declared victory over the Islamic State.

 

Moqtada al Sadr - once dubbed the "most dangerous man in Iraq" - could now decide the country’s next premier, after running a campaign against corruption and sectarianism.

 

He emerged as a surprise frontrunner following the weekend vote, which previously attracted headlines chiefly for a historically low turnout.

 

Just 44.5% of Iraqis cast a ballot to decide the makeup of its 329-seat parliament, the lowest proportion for 15 years.

 

Mr al Sadr is thought to have appealed to Iraqis disillusioned with what they see as an out-of-touch political elite, and has had an unpredictable and often violent career on the sidelines of Iraqi politics.

 

After the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq the cleric headed a group of fighters called the Mahdi army, who were responsible for brutal violence that targeted both foreign troops and Sunni Iraqis.

 

But more recently Mr Al-Sadr has repositioned himself as an Iraqi nationalist with his Marching Toward Reform alliance.

 

Critical of both Iranian and American influence and sectarian conflicts in Iraq, he has worked to forge diverse alliances with communists, Sunnis and independents.

 

He is one of few Shia leaders to have distanced himself from Iran - the regional Shia power with influence in Shia majority Iraq - as well as fiercely criticising and fighting against a US presence in the country.

 

The results will likely prove unsettling for the US, which had backed Haider al Abadi, the incumbent prime minister who planned to keep US troops in the country.

 

The favourite is now trailing in third, with second place after Mr al Sadr's coalition going to a list linked to Shia paramilitary forces that fought with the state against IS militants.

 

Mr al Sadr did not stand as a candidate for premiership and cannot lead the country, but he is now positioned as kingmaker in what could be weeks of deal-making to decide the final makeup of government.

 

He has indicated he may support a broad-based coalition that would likely include Mr al Abadi's alliance.

 

In a televised address on Monday, the incumbent prime minister hailed the winning lists and urged all sides to "respect the results".

 

At the last released count late on Monday night, with 91% of the votes counted in 16 out of 18 provinces, the Marching Toward Reform alliance remained in first place.

The point is that these too-big-to-fail banks have become also too big to control, and of course they do not want to be controlled. They have the (political) power to shed off any control. They want to continue creating debt, lending money not for economic development, but for profit of their shareholders. Banking for development has stopped a long time ago. The only banking for development is public banking, and that is almost non-existent – so far – in the west; except for North Dakota and soon New Jersey – and a number of other US States are considering public banking as a means of bringing back the true sense of banking – i.e. for economic development. But with the current FED-Wall Street bulldozer’s onslaught on the world, they are fighting against windmills – but even windmills are fallible.

 

By and large, in the west it’s corporate banking for profit. And thanks to the public’s ignorance and disinterest, deregulation took place behind our backs.

Detective Miosotis Familia was shot and killed from ambush as she sat in a marked mobile command post vehicle at the intersection of East 183rd Street and Morris Avenue in the Bronx.

 

As she sat in the vehicle at approximately 12:30 am a male approached and fired one shot through the window, striking Detective Familia in the head.

 

Officers responding to the call of an officer down confronted the male subject fleeing the scene. The officers shot and killed the subject in an exchange of gunfire.

 

Detective Familia had served with the New York City Police Department for 12 years and was assigned to the 46th Precinct. She is survived by her three children.

 

Detective Familia was posthumously promoted to the rank of detective.

Cohen-Watnick’s role will not feature any involvement with leak investigations, these sources said pushing back on earlier reporting from The Daily Beast. These sources further explained Cohen-Watnick’s role in investigating leaks during his time in the administration as a routine part of his duties as senior director of intelligence at the NSC.

 

The program known as the “Insider Threat Taskforce” was established by former President Barack Obama in October 2011 “for deterring, detecting, and mitigating insider threats, including the safeguarding of classified information from exploitation, compromise, or other unauthorized disclosure.”

 

The task force included representatives from several different intelligence entities, as mandated by executive order, and was coordinated by Cohen-Watnick in his role as the senior director of intelligence on the NSC.

 

Cohen-Watnick departed the White House in August 2017 for the private sector. However, sources directly familiar with the process tell TheDC Sessions called Cohen-Watnick three days after his departure upon the recommendation of senior FBI officials involved in matters the White House has taken issue with in the past.

 

Department of Justice spokeswoman Sarah Flores declined comment to TheDC, noting that Cohen-Watnick is not a current employee.

 

TheDC’s sources noted that Cohen-Watnick is slated to assume his new role within the next month.

ZTE was recently banned from being sold at Military bases because the phones are comped tracking devices like the rest of them except these not comped by americans so it makes it more of a liability.
