An FBI agent who investigated the alleged plot to kidnap Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and who posted a profanity-laced diatribe against former President Donald Trump and his supporters on social media will not testify in the case.

Attorney Michael Hills, who is defending one of the people charged in the case, said federal prosecutors would not call on agent Richard Trask, according to The Detroit News.

Trask’s social media posts were shared with the defense this week.

Comedian Fuquan Johnson And Two Others Dead From Fentanyl-Laced Drugs At Venice Party

Fuquan Johnson, a writer for the TV series Comedy Parlour Live, has died along with two other unidentified victims after apparently overdosing on fentanyl-laced cocaine at a Venice, Calif. party on Friday.

TMZ reported that two other victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Kate Quigley, a comedian and the ex-girlfriend of Darius Rucker, was in a Los Angeles hospital. At least three others were hospitalized in serious condition.

The other victims were not identified pending a medical examiner’s report.

The synthetic painkiller Fentanyl has been showing up on the party circuit of both coasts in the US. The powerful drug has been implicated in the deaths of Prince, Mac Miller and Tom Petty, among others.

Johnson was 42 and a frequent performer on the Los Angeles comedy circuit. Quigley has appeared in The Office, the fan film project Star Trek: Hidden Frontier, and the TV mini-series Guber.

Police have not given details on who supplied the drugs or whether others may have been affected at the party.

I finally had a chance to sit down with an infectious disease doctor that our friend dates. They came and stayed the weekend with us, and after a few beer, I picked his brain. Last month he had over 600 Covid patient encounters, and what he told me was rather dasting. I will try and summarize what he told me to keep is as short as possible, still going to be a long post.

Before I start, he is saying the vax isn’t a bad as what people are saying it is, just throwing that out there. They have definitely seen significantly less vaxxed patients than unvaxxed. I felt like he was truthful, and he is a Republican and trump supporter. So, take it for what it is.

First off, regarding the use of ivermectin. Basically what he told me was that the CDC is releasing as far as studies go to the “institutes” shows that it doesn’t help anything at all, and it’s a non viral treatment, therefore the CDC recommends against it. So, because of that, due to grants that hospitals operate on, if they go against CDC guidance, they can and will lose their funding. Doctors are essentially told to stand down against prescribing it when it comes to doctors that work in large federally funded hospitals. So, makes you wonder, is the misinformation coming directly from the CDC?

Second, remdisivir (spelling) is completely useless, which was touted by Fauci himself. He says he never prescribes it now since he has never had a positive patient outcome.

Third, regeneron (spelling?) works, however, he has ran into multiple cases that insurance will not pay for it to be administered in the hospital. This seems odd to me.

Fourth, he said a drug that he has found works amazingly is a rheumatoid arthritis medicine, and I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. The bad part, he said it’s in a severe nationwide shortage. Like, you can’t get it at all right now. He said however, it is also a non viral treatment like ivermectin and he uses the RA treatment as much as he can get his hands on because the CDC hasn’t officially came out against it (because it’s in a shortage I suppose). For example, he only has one dose of it left at his hospital, and he has three people that he would give it to right now but he has to chose which one gets it and he absolutely hates having to do that. So, he didn’t speak against ivermectin, but he said until the CDC turns around their views, hospital docs cannot start to use it.

A Minnesota man who shot at police is acquitted because it was self-defense. The Daily Mail reports:

A Minneapolis man charged with attempted murder after firing at police officers during the George Floyd protest was acquitted of all charges after claiming he shot back in self defense.

Jaleel Stallings, 29, was acquitted on Wednesday of multiple charges stemming from a shooting last summer where he shot at the Minneapolis Police Department after they opened fire on him with rubber bullets.

The US Army veteran argued the shooting was in self-defense. He testified that he fired three shots at an unmarked white van after he was struck in the chest with what turned out to be a nonlethal rubber bullet fired by the MPD, the Associated Press reported.

Bloomberg is reporting the following related to COVID vaccines in the EU.

European Union health authorities said there’s no urgent need for widespread use of Covid-19 vaccine booster shots, though people with weakened immune systems should be offered a third dose.

The priority now should be to vaccinate the roughly one-third of Europe’s adults who aren’t fully inoculated, the European Medicines Agency said on Thursday, citing a report by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control. Older and frail people, particularly those in care homes, could also be given an extra dose, the agency said.

Reeder was the typical Biden agitator who wanted to interrupt the Republican objections inside the Capitol. And he wanted to frame Trump supporters as violent insurrectionists.

Heavy gunfire breaks out in Guinea’s capital, president reportedly DETAINED by military in apparent coup

An apparent coup is underway in Guinea, with heavy military presence and gunfire reported in the country’s capital of Conakry. Guinean President Alpha Conde has seemingly been detained by the military.

The ongoing unrest broke out in the capital city on Sunday morning. Local media reported that heavy gunfire was coming from Conakry’s upscale neighborhood of Kaloum, housing the presidential palace and other government buildings.Uncorroborated footage circulating online shows multiple military vehicles and heavily armed soldiers roaming the area.

In another video, purportedly shot on Sunday, gunfire can be heard in the background.

“I see groups of soldiers heading towards the presidency. There has been a lot of shooting,” a Kaloum resident told Reuters. Three other witnesses said they saw at least two civilians injured by gunfire.

The unrest is reportedly led by Lieutenant Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, a former French legionnaire and an elite military unit commander. While multiple pro-government sources told the media that the country’s president was safe, local media reports corroborated by imagery circulating online suggested otherwise.

A video and several photos purport to show Conde detained by heavily armed soldiers and then being driven away to an unspecified location.

As Conde was arrested, the leader of the coup released a brief video address, accusing the president of “trampling” on people’s rights and leading the country’s economy into a state of “dysfunction.” Doumbouya announced the dissolution of the government, as well as the closure of the country’s air and land borders, while proclaiming Guinea’s constitution void.

The latest presidential election, held in October last year, however, was surrounded with much controversy. Longtime leader Comte had changed the country’s constitution before the polls, allowing himself to run for the third time. The election was also marred by violent opposition protests, as well as crackdowns on them by the authorities.

Shortly after the address, however, Guinea’s defense ministry claimed the attack on the mutinous special forces had been successfully repelled and the military loyal to the elected government was working to restore order in the capital. The ministry did not elaborate on the whereabouts of the president, sowing further confusion on who exactly holds power in the country.
