MN Dimwit Dem. Gov. Walz admin looks to sell β€˜vacant’ $5 million COVID morgue

 

The Walz administration is reportedly in talks with the St. Paul Port Authority about the sale of the state’s $5.6 million COVID-19 morgue, which went unused throughout the pandemic.

 

The Port Authority’s board is scheduled to meet Tuesday to vote on purchasing the warehouse for $5.6 million, its current appraised value, the Pioneer Press reported.

 

The Walz administration purchased the former Bix produce warehouse in May 2020 for $5.4 million. State documents show that a total of $6.9 million was spent on the project, including renovation costs.

 

The facility was intended to serve as β€œa building where we can properly handle with dignity and respect and safety the bodies of Minnesotans who may fall victim to the coronavirus,” Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Joe Kelly said at the time of the purchase.

 

β€œIt’s an uncomfortable topic for a lot of people, but we need to have a capability, we need to have a plan for a large number of deaths,” he said.

 

But the facility was never used for the β€œtemporary storage of human remains” because the projected outcome of anywhere between 50,000 to 74,000 statewide COVID-19 deaths never occurred.

 

Instead, the St. Paul building was repurposed as a storage facility for vaccines, testing supplies, and PPE. It now sits β€œvacant” and is β€œnot being utilized by the state,” according to Port Authority documents.

 

Several state legislators criticized the lack of transparency involved in the initial purchase, saying it was β€œa consequence of the emergency powers and the governor not working with the Legislature.”

 

The state was required to offer the property to state agencies before putting it on the market, but β€œno other state agencies made an offer to purchase.”

 

So now the Port Authority is looking to purchase the unused morgue and would β€œimmediately begin broad marketing efforts” to find an β€œoutright buyer or joint-venture partner by the end of the first quarter of 2022.”

 

β€œWe will have secured such a buyer or partner by way of an executed letter of intent, prior to closing” with the state, the Port Authority says. β€œThe fundamental building components, floor, walls and roof, for a refrigerated space such as this are scarce in the marketplace, particularly at such a logistically desirable location.”

 

Amazon, HelloFresh, and Imperfect Produce are listed as potential buyers.

 

β€œThe idea is to find a buyer who will bring jobs to the city of St. Paul,” Andrea Novak, a marketing manager with the Port Authority, told the Pioneer Press. β€œThere is no specific buyer in the wings. We will market this aggressively.”

Biden canceling Chicago trip as his legislative agenda hangs in the balance

President Joe Biden is canceling plans to travel to Chicago on Wednesday in order to continue leading crucial negotiations in Washington over his legislative agenda, a White House official told CNN.

Biden scrapped his travel plans following meetings Tuesday with Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona aimed at bridging the gap between the moderate senators and progressive lawmakers over the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation legislation and the fate of the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure deal.

"In meetings and calls over the weekend and through today, President Biden has been engaging with members of Congress on the path forward for the Build Back Better Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal. He will now remain at the White House tomorrow to continue working on advancing these two pieces of legislation to create jobs, grow the economy, and make investments in families, rather than failed giveaways to the rich and big corporations," a White House official said.

The decision to stay in Washington is a sign of how critical the next two days will be in determining the fate of the centerpieces of Biden's legislative agenda and the central role the President is playing in stewarding those negotiations.

Key progressive legislators in the House warned Tuesday they will vote against the infrastructure bill when it comes up for a vote in the House on Thursday barring an agreement on budget reconciliation, the $3.5 trillion package that Manchin and Sinema have said is too costly.

"There is a strong feeling that progress is being made," a source familiar with the discussions said. "Our big gun is staying here."

Biden stayed behind closed doors on Tuesday in meetings with Manchin and Sinema, while also speaking on the phone with progressive lawmakers, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

"You know me. I'm a born optimist," Biden said Monday about the prospects of a deal between the warring factions of his party. "I think things are going to go well. I think we're going to get it done, and – but I have meetings tonight, tomorrow, and for the next little bit, so…"

Biden was scheduled to travel to Chicago on Wednesday to highlight the effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccine requirements. A White House official said the trip would be rescheduled.

"There will be more to come on his engagement over the next couple of days, and the trip to Chicago to discuss the ongoing importance of getting people vaccinated will be rescheduled," the White House official said.

Last week, six members of the Nine Trey Gangsters (NTG) national criminal organization pleaded guilty to Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organization (RICO) conspiracy charges.

According to court documents, the NTG is a national gang that started in the prisons of New York as a subset of the United Bloods Nation and has since spread throughout the East Coast and Southeast. The NTG is a criminal organization whose members and associates engage in acts of crime and violence including murder, assault, robbery, firearms possession, witness tampering, obstruction of justice, drug trafficking and extortion among other criminal activity.

β€œThe Department will continue to bring to justice the leaders and most violent members of dangerous criminal enterprises like the Nine Trey Gangsters,” said Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite Jr. of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. β€œRemoving those most responsible for the violence and drug dealing perpetrated by members and associates of violent street gangs like the Nine Trey Gangsters makes our neighborhoods and communities safer.”

β€œMembers of the Nine Trey Gangsters showed a shocking indifference to human life, both in carrying out planned acts of violence, and in distributing drugs, including methamphetamine, throughout Georgia,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Kurt Erskine for the Northern District of Georgia. β€œWhile the gang offered members a sense of belonging and the opportunity to make money through illicit drug sales, it was those same members who were most often the targets of violence from the gang based solely on the whims of the gang’s leaders.”

β€œMembers of Nine Trey Gangsters have plagued our streets with violence and drug trafficking for far too long,” said Special Agent in Charge Chris Hacker of the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office. β€œThese pleas are an example of our commitment to dismantle organized, violent criminal enterprises. The community can rest assured these six defendants won’t be on our streets for a very long time, thanks to the efforts of the FBI-led Safe Streets Gang Task Force and its state and local partners.”

β€œAs part of our commitment of ridding our facilities of criminal activity, we maintain a robust plan for identifying and managing those participating in gang activity from behind prison walls,” said Commissioner Timothy C. Ward of the Georgia Department of Corrections. β€œWe appreciate the support and assistance of our law enforcement partners on every level, in our efforts to see that justice is being served on those who pose a threat to the safety of the public and the safe operations of our facilities.”

β€œThese Bloods members terrorized communities by committing murders and robberies with no regard for human life,” said Assistant Director Calvin Shivers of the FBI Criminal Investigative Division. β€œToday’s convictions provide a measure of justice, and the FBI will continue to dismantle these criminal enterprises and protect communities from gang violence.”

The NTG have a hierarchical structure in which members throughout the country are subdivided into separate groups or β€œlines.” Each NTG member has a specific rank within the gang or a specific line, and this rank comes with specific duties and responsibilities. Each of the six defendants who pleaded guilty were part of the gang’s β€œfire” line.

The following NTG gang members, all of Georgia, pleaded guilty to count 1 of the second superseding indictment charging them and four others with RICO conspiracy:

 

Tyrone Clark, aka β€œTight Eye”; Joseph Riley, III, aka β€œJoe Blow”; Gary Sartor aka β€œG-Stacks”; and Patrick Caple, aka β€œZoe,” all held the rank of β€œFifth Floor” in the gang’s hierarchy, one of the highest ranks an individual can hold within a line of the gang. In those roles they were responsible for overseeing all the members below them and reporting up to the gang’s national leadership.

Brandon Asberry, aka β€œB5,” held the rank of β€œSecond Floor” in the gang’s hierarchy. In this role, Asberry was responsible for collecting dues form the gang’s members and overseeing the gang’s meetings or β€œnines.”

Michael Jackson, aka β€œMJ,” held the rank of β€œThird Floor” in the gang’s hierarchy. He was responsible for planning β€œwars” or conflicts with rival gangs and providing weapons to other NTG members.

Final Defendants Sentenced in Federal Dog Fighting Case

Twelve Co-Defendants Sentenced to Serve a Total of 272 Months in Prison

The last four of 12 defendants convicted on federal dog fighting charges were sentenced today in Albany, Georgia, by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Collectively, the court sentenced the defendants to a total of 272 months in prison.

On June 22, a federal jury convicted defendant Kizzy Solomon, 44, of Camilla, Georgia, of 15 counts of aiding and abetting the possession and training of dogs for purposes of an animal fighting venture. Eleven other defendants previously pleaded guilty to various offenses related to their participation in a dog fighting ring.

β€œThe injuries that dogs suffer in fights are horrible enough, but this case shows how the cruelty of the dog fighting industry goes far beyond the fighting pit,” said Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim of the Justice Department’s Environment and Natural Resources Division. β€œWe will continue to vigorously prosecute those who engage in these crimes.”

β€œDog-fighting is vicious and illegal; it is also a breeding ground for other dangerous criminal activity that undermines the safety of our communities,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Peter D. Leary for the Middle District of Georgia. β€œOur office will not tolerate dog-fighting; we will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to hold offenders accountable with federal prosecution.”

β€œThe cruelty exhibited by these individuals has left a stain on the human psyche of our civilization” said Special Agent in Charge Jason Williams of the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Office of Inspector General (USDA-OIG). β€œThis collaborative effort with our local and federal partners demonstrates that wherever you are, you will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

Concrete Contractor Pleads Guilty to Rigging Bids for Public Contracts in Minnesota

A Minnesota concrete contractor pleaded guilty to rigging bids on public concrete repair and construction contracts in the state of Minnesota.

According to court documents filed in the U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, Clarence Olson and his co-conspirators conspired to rig bids on concrete repair and construction contracts submitted to at least four municipalities in the state of Minnesota, which included local governments and school districts in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Olson participated in the long-running conspiracy from at least as early as September 2012 and continuing through at least as late as July 2017.

β€œThis resolution demonstrates the Antitrust Division’s commitment to ensuring the integrity of government procurement at all levels of government,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Richard A. Powers of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division. β€œBid-rigging schemes that target local government contracts harm taxpayers, and people who take part in these conspiracies will be held accountable for their actions.”

β€œThe defendant in this case rigged bids on contracts that were intended to benefit local governments and school districts in Minnesota,” said Assistant Director Calvin Shivers of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division. β€œThe FBI and our law enforcement partners are committed to investigating those who attempt to exploit government programs and the American taxpayer.”

Olson pleaded guilty to a violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act. He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $1 million criminal fine. The maximum fine may be increased to twice the gain derived from the crime or twice the loss suffered by the victims of the crime if either amount is greater than the statutory maximum fine. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

The Antitrust Division’s Chicago Office is prosecuting the case, which was investigated with the assistance of the FBI’s Minneapolis Field Office.

A Bangladeshi national was sentenced today to 46 months in prison for his role in a scheme to smuggle undocumented individuals from Mexico into the United States.

According to court documents, between March 2017 and June 2019, Mohamad Milon Hossain, 41, a Bangladeshi national formerly residing in Tapachula, Mexico, conspired with and assisted human smugglers operating out of Bangladesh, South and Central America, and Mexico to bring numerous undocumented individuals to the U.S. border in exchange for payment. Hossain operated out of Tapachula where he maintained a hotel that housed the individuals on their way to the United States. Hossain provided plane tickets and other assistance for the individuals to travel from Tapachula to Monterrey, Mexico, where co-conspirator Moktar Hossain assisted their illegal crossing into the United States.

β€œThis human smuggling conspiracy operated on a global scale and endangered the lives of Bangladeshi migrants,” said Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite Jr. of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. β€œThe Justice Department will continue working with our law enforcement partners here and abroad to bring human smugglers like Hossain to justice and to disrupt these criminal networks that unlawfully bring migrants from across the world into the United States.”

β€œThis criminal placed profit before life,” said Acting Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery of the Southern District of Texas (SDTX). β€œHuman smugglers like Hossain often put migrants in dangerous situations, many leading to serious injury and even death. The SDTX is no stranger to this issue and will fervently pursue the battle, holding accountable not only the transporters, but any individuals who provided assistance along the way.”

TEMPE, AZ- Last week, a video which inferred minority students harassing two white students at Arizona State University’s so-called β€œmulticultural center” went viral on social media.

 

In that video, students who cannot be seen got triggered by a sticker on one of the white students’ laptops which read β€œPolice Lives Matter.”

 

The unseen racists demanded the white students leave the center, claiming β€œwhite is not a culture,” according to Breitbart News.

 

One of the white students asked at the beginning of the video, β€œWhat did I do wrong,” to which one of the racist non-white students replied, β€œYou’re offensive. β€˜Police lives matter?’”

 

Continuing, that student said, β€œYou’re making this space uncomfortable. You’re white. Do you understand what a multicultural space [means]? It means you’re not being centered.”

 

The student filming the incident then claims, β€œwhite is not a culture,” and then it is revealed the video is being recorded at Arizona State University (ASU).

 

β€œThis is the violence that ASU does, and this is the type of people that they protect,” the racist student says. β€œThis white man thinks he can take up our space, and this is why we need a multicultural space, because they think they can get away with this shit.”

 

Honestly, videos like this make you wonder how these whiny little snowflakes get by on a day-to-day basis if they get so triggered and upset by something as innocuous as this.

 

At this point, another racist crybaby demands the white students leave the multicultural center if they β€œhave any consideration for people of color and are marginalized.”

 

β€œEvery single part or the campus centers you,” the student cried. β€œThis is the only space that you’re not centered, and you’re still trying to center yourself, which is white cis male bullshit.”

One of the white students replied that he wasn’t racist, that he was β€œjust studying.”

 

β€œYou are racist, your sticker is racistβ€”you can choose to be a police, I didn’t choose to be black,” the student, clearly not an English major said.

 

β€œYou can choose to be a cop, you can choose to kill people with a badge, and you’re protecting that shit, which means that you’re a racist.”

 

β€œKill people with a badge?” That would be a first.

 

The white student then apologized, saying β€œI wasn’t trying to offend you guys.”

 

β€œI know, but this offends us automatically, because these people kill people like me,” one student claimed.

 

β€œSo you’re promoting our murderers.” As we said, how do these people actually function?”

 

Finally, the white student had enough of the virtue-signaling social justice warrior, and said:

 

β€œI pay the same fucking tuition as you! I’m working 60 hours a week while going to school because my parents don’t just give me money!”

 

The video was posted to Instagram and soon went viral. The post has since either been deleted or the Instagram account has gone private.

 

The chapter president of Turning Point USA at Arizona State University, Julia Cartwright told Breitbart that the organization supports and defends every student’s First Amendment rights.

 

β€œWe stand with the young men who were mistreated while boldly standing for freedom on our campus,” Cartwright added.

 

β€œWe do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We welcome the to join our movement to bring freedom back to ASU.”

 

In a statement to Breitbart, Arizona State University said:

 

The Dean of Students Office is aware of the disagreement between a handful of students that was captured in a video circulated on social media. The Dean of Students Office will be discussing it with all involved. ASU is a community of more than 100,000 people from all 50 states and more than 150 countries. Differences of opinion are part of the university experience. The university expects respectful dialogue between students in all engagements.

 

So who were these triggered leftists? Big League Politics has discovered the one recording the exchange is a β€œfellow” of the Ford Foundation, a far-left non-governmental organization that must have the foundation’s namesakeβ€”Henry Fordβ€”rolling in his grave.

 

The whining snowflake, Sarra Tekola identified as a Ford Fellow on her now-locked Twitter feed because, beside being an unhinged lunatic she is also a gutless unhinged lunatic. Tekola is actually a PhD candidate as well, which would make one think she might bear some sense of maturity. Apparently not.

 

 

Unfortunately for Tekola, a page called β€œLibs of Tik Tok” published the video, which outed Tekola’s unhinged hatred and intolerance for all to see.

Glad to hear anon. I got it and am having a hell of a recovery. I felt about 70% when I left the hospital. Getting about 1/2 % better each day. My o2 got into the mid 70s and I had no choice but to go to the damn hospital. Got septus and arsd. Muscled through after 10 days and got the hell out of there. I'm pissed now. Any anons have any recovery recommendations? I'm on super antioxidants, nac, A,D3,B complex, C, prebiotic. Taking about 20 supplements, on metoprolol, but finally walked a mile two days ago.
