U.S.โ€”With oil imports from Russia banned and gas prices continuing to rise, many around the nation report really wishing we had our own oil we could dig up with big machines and then transport around with some sort of pipeline.

 

"If only we had oil, and knew how to get it," said one local mom as she shelled out $300 for gas to take her kids to soccer practice. "Then maybe we wouldn't have to buy it from evil regimes around the world and gas prices would be lower. I know that's ridiculous, but it sure would be nice if that were possible!"

 

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg says he commiserates with people who are struggling right now. "I do have a solution though," he said. "If you all just plop down $90K on an electric car and another 3 million on building a windmill in your backyard, you won't have to deal with these gas costs. I am smart!"

 

The scientific community says they are hard at work on a solution to the oil shortage but haven't found any options so far. "If only there was oil, and some way to get it out of the ground and transport it!" said all the scientists, scratching their heads.

 

Other scientists say they may have discovered an almost unlimited form of energy that is clean and safe that uses some sort of atomic fuel but that technology may be years away.

My guess is the NWO is frustrated that the U.S. hasnโ€™t engaged Putin militarily so this may be a FF to try and force action. The NWO wonโ€™t succeed in bringing Putin down without our help. These Classic 50's and 60's TV Commercials Will Test Boomer Memories!

 

I grew up in the 50's & 60's and this excellent collection of TV commercials reminded me of sitting in front of the TV as a kid. It was a tiny Black & White set with Rabbit Ears that needed aluminum foil to get the distant stations.

One of the small thrills of growing up in the pre-computer era was a brand-new box of crayons, especially that coveted 64-count deluxe set. Opening it for the first time was a sensory experience: that waxy fragrance, the glorious sight of all those perfect, lustrous tips lined up in rows like a rainbow choir, with poetic names like Sea Green, Carnation Pink, Periwinkle, Burnt Sienna. It always made you a little sad, though; in order to color pictures, you had to ruin your crayons. No wonder todayโ€™s kids just download a coloring book app.

 

But then thereโ€™s the art of Christian Faur. A self-taught maker with a background in physics and expertise in new media, Faur captures the interplay of art, science, and technology in amazing photorealistic portraits, each composed of nothing more than wax crayons โ€“ thousands of them.

 

Using a technique he originated, he colors wax and casts it, then stacks the crayons one by one atop each other in rows, following a map he has generated on a computer, so that their tips become the โ€œpixelsโ€ of an image. (He melts the back of the whole thing to stabilize it in the frame.) In this way, he creates the ultimate box of crayons, existing in the aggregate as art while remaining compelling little objects in their own right.

 

A Faur crayon piece looks something like a pointillist painting or a grainy photo, depending, of course, on how far away you are standing. Come close, and the image dissolves into what he calls โ€œrandom crayon dataโ€ โ€“ pure matter.

 

โ€œI love the idea of communicating in a way thatโ€™s not through language, but through materials,โ€ Faur says. โ€œAnd I have a lot of fun using materials in ways that either subvert or enhance their communicative powers. I love playing. I feel like a kid.โ€

Faur was born in 1968 in New York City and moved throughout his childhood, from Chicago to Los Angeles to Sacramento. It was Christmastime in 2005 when Faur was building a wooden crayon box as a gift for his daughter that inspiration struck. He was painting and sculpting with encaustics then, and had come to enjoy the versatility and properties of wax, โ€œthis fantastic surface quality thatโ€™s neither glossy or varnishy or highly polished, nor matte or dull.โ€ But handling those crayons, observing how their tips absorbed light and conveyed dimension and texture when piled en masse, spurred his imagination.

 

Heโ€™s been playing with crayons ever since, to the delight of viewers both close to home, with three solo shows at Columbusโ€™ Sherrie Gallerie since 2007, and in the high-profile setting of New York City, where his works have sold briskly at Kim Foster Gallery. Thereโ€™s an undeniable wow factor to the technical skill involved, from creating a perfect digital map to mixing precise pigments and arranging all the cast crayons. A small work about 1 foot square might take him four days, a larger, multi-panel piece (up to 3 by 8 feet) several months. As for his material, the artist good-naturedly acknowledges the novelty appeal, though his approach is wholly serious. These sophisticated pieces delight (and trick) the eye, challenge the mind, and touch the heart.

 

โ€œIโ€™m captivated by peopleโ€™s faces, their expressions. Itโ€™s something I love re-creating, reinterpreting, reflecting upon,โ€ Faur says.

 

We might not know them, but his subjects are hauntingly familiar anyway. His Forgotten Children โ€“ blurry faces based on playmates Faur recalls only vaguely โ€“ read like faded photographs, memories we canโ€™t fully retrieve. In A Series of Melodies, he takes an image of his now-teenage daughter and renders it in a variety of shades and patterns, achieving a spectrum of moods, from wistful to melancholy to slightly fierce. Another series, The Land Surveyors, presents stark archival portraits from the Depression that resonate all too powerfully these days.

 

Faur has always drawn on his dual interests โ€“ art and science โ€“ to bring density and dimension to his creative work. His early paintings were informed by poetry and literature (T. S. Eliot, Kafka) and embedded with mathematical elements (numbers, symbols, prime knots) to add layers of texture and meaning. Working with crayons, heโ€™s found, has opened up new avenues of experimentation: trying different ways of โ€œweavingโ€ pixels to get certain effects or intensify colors; exploring the phenomenon of color blindness; even creating his own color alphabet. Lately, he says, heโ€™s delving deeper into the idea of the pixel. โ€œHow does it work? How do we see pixels? How does our brain bring this discrete data point and melt it together to form imagery?โ€

 

At his university job, Faur is steeped in electronic media, which he sometimes references directly in his art. In 2012โ€™s Parrish, five panels show a little boyโ€™s happy face progressively disappearing into what looks like TV static โ€“ a comment, maybe, on the overwhelming digital noise that surrounds todayโ€™s young people. Faur, for his part, stays grounded in real stuff โ€“ crayons, and occasionally other media such as shredded paper, in works that can be highly conceptual.

 

โ€œFor me, working with the object, the material form, is still super-important,โ€ he says. โ€œThe idea is great, but it needs physical manifestation.โ€

Overdose deaths in NYC peaked at 596 in the first quarter of 2021, the latest period for which the city has data, steadily rising each quarter since 2018. More than 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses last year โ€” a 29 percent spike in just one year.

 

Fentanyl increasingly arrives in New York City in ready-to-ingest pill form, designed to look like legitimate OxyContin, Vicodin or Adderall, among other prescription drugs.

 

The DEA of New York seized 82,087 fentanyl pills in 2021, up more than fourfold over the 19,378 pills found in 2020.

 

New York City authorities seized $4 million worth of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine in a drug trafficking bust in May 2021.

 

China is coming under increasing scrutiny for its role in fueling the crisis.

 

โ€œCriminal drug networks in Mexico are mass-producing deadly fentanyl and fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills, using chemicals sourced largely from China,โ€ the DEA claims in its new โ€œOne Pill Can Killโ€ campaign.

 

A multi-agency federal report released last month by the Commission on Combating Synthetic Opioid Trafficking calls fentanyl โ€œa slow-motion weapon of mass destruction.โ€

 

It demands action to stop the flow of โ€œprecursor chemicalsโ€ from China used to manufacture the synthetic drug in Mexico.

 

โ€œThe expansion of [Chinaโ€™s] chemical and pharmaceutical sectors has outpaced the governmentโ€™s efforts to regulate them, creating opportunities for unscrupulous vendors to export chemicals needed in [fentanylโ€™s] illegal manufacture,โ€ the report states.

 

It blames the fentanyl crisis on Americaโ€™s addiction to painkillers caused by the Food and Drug Administrationโ€™s ill-fated decision to approve OxyContin in 1995, which was โ€œfalsely marketed as an easy, nonaddictive fix for pain.โ€

 

Drug overdoses in America have โ€œsteadily climbedโ€ since that decision, the report states.

CPS is easily abused. Experienced that myself as a child.

 

Bitter grandmother and aunt made a complaint and I was taken by CPS; while in their custody I was molested (was 3 years old).

 

My mom had to jump through a lot of hoops to get me back, and she did. But at that point the damage was done.

Something that needs to be said. Some anons have sat comfortably behind there computer screen and been financially fine for the last 4 plus years as they build up there telegram/twitter whatever followings as they read about the horrors going on the planet.
