HAPPENING NOW: DOJ says in court (during a fortitously timed Proud Boys hearing) that it anticipates the Jan. 6 select committee releasing all 1,000 witness transcripts in September, along with its final report.

That could occur during or right around the timing if the Proud Boys trial, which is slated to begin in August, and both sides in the case are concerned about what affect this could have on their timing.

DOJ says it still hasn't received any of the Jan. 6 committee's transcripts despite ongoing talks with the select committee.

And now DOJ gives a clue about why the committee might not want to hand over transcripts: When it gets them, DOJ says it will provide those transcripts to defense attorneys as part of its discovery obligations.

A recent DHS strategy

document further discusses efforts to โ€œ[e]mpower partners to mitigate MDM threats.โ€17

Is Nina Jankowicz Still Working For Ukraine?by George EliasonApril 30, 202208448

Iโ€™ve been waiting 7 years for the US Disinformation Governance Board to open its doors. It was the only natural progression of Ukraineโ€™s Information Operation against US citizens and journalists possible. Its inception was only a matter of time under a Democrat US President.

Consider the following carefully. They are both talking about the same thing (tweets above), just framing it differently. Dobriansky was the leader of the US-Ukrainian Diaspora lobby (UCCA) until it looked like a flagrant conflict of interest and stepped down to support the Clinton campaign openly.His group is the most powerful lobby in WDCtoday and is larger than the Saudi Arabian lobby in clout and influence. This military information operation (IO) still being used against Americans was designed to overthrow governments and when working properly, provides an across media โ€œre-education campโ€ for all dissenting voices.

Comply or get crushed.The goal is to instill a form of Americanized Ukrainian nationalism into all aspects of American life and politics. So, what was the testing lab Dobriansky tweeted about and Chalupa wrote about? The products of SCL-IOTA Globalโ€™s work in Ukraine that Nina Jankowiciz helped to sell to the American public.

This included: The narratives, Russian collusion, Trump Russia saga, DNC hack, ODNI stolen election, Manafort Black ledger, George Papadopoulos, Trump Tower, etc.

Jankowicz was the (S)strategic communications expert for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Relations (MFA) spokesperson through this period. The MFA was limited in statements to what the Ministry of Information Policy (MIP) was putting out. The MIP originated with Joel Harding, SCL- IOTA Globalโ€™s Information Operation manager for Ukraine and Syria in January 2015. Jankowicz worked with the MIP Christina Dobrovolska who in turn managed the InformNapalm hacking and OSINT- IO combined teams consisting of Shaltai Boltai (DNC hacking fame), RUH8 which worked under the umbrella of Ukraine Cyber Alliance, and Cyber Hunta.

These are the groups that physically created all the narratives above, Jankowicz and Ukrainian MIP manager Dobrovolska, who was also an Obama-Biden State Department go-between with the Ukrainian government handled all the so-called Intel and information coming out of Ukraine to destroy the Trump campaign and followed through by working to destroy the Trump presidency after.Jankowicz maintained direct ties to the Broadcasting Board of Governorsthrough multiple channels including Harding and Karen Kornbluh.

The US Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) is modeled on Ukraineโ€™s MIP. It should be noted that the first actions the MIP took was to create an online army to deplatform American journalists and start Myrotvorets, Ukraineโ€™s hit for hire site. The first victims were Ukrainian journalists criticizing Poroshenko. First, they targeted Democratic progressive journos that spoke against HRCโ€™s campaign. Then the de-platforming of websites began.

What most people donโ€™t understand is that the closest political ideology to nationalism is the progressives. They took ideological progressives down the same road in 2016-2017 to create a never-Trump army in the US. 2020 was the next logical evolution bringing progressives onboard because nationalist tendencies were cultured by culling the herd. To stay in media, progressives learned quickly to carry the approved narratives.

The DGB named the enemy of the Democrat nationalists are fighting is, and will always be Conservatives so this move is to show progressive Republicans the amount of economic and social pain that can be inflicted for non-compliance to Democrat narratives. The Biden administrationโ€™s goal with Russia policy isto force Americansto part with their own values or be labeled Un-American.

 

Nina Jankowicz is an agent of the Ukrainian government. I mean that in the same sense as a lobbyist from her new position and a little more. A new wrinkle in this mess was added when I exposed Ukraineโ€™s IT army of which Jankowicz is a member. Ukraine responded by releasing a notice detailing the exact classification of its supporters. Jankowicz and members of Congress fall under this classification because the disinformation (IO) they support or purveyis d irected against protected groups, i.e., US and EU general populations, and attacking journalists. The openly hostile moves to sanction people, groups, and journalists that question their Ukraine narrative make this position clear. They are acting inside a legal framework that classifies them as the Ukrainian military. Thatโ€™s according to Ukrainian sources managing the operations.

On Friday morning, Trump tweeted a note of encouragement Friday to Gregg Phillips, a Texas man who has repeatedly claimed that he and a team of people have โ€œverifiedโ€ that 3 million votes were cast by โ€œnon-citizens.โ€

 

The propaganda in this article is dripping the same corruption the world is being assaulted with right now in that prime time fucking January 6 production. They think they are so clever, that they are once again going to walk away from all this and we'll just go back to whatever us little people do until the next distraction.

If you analyze just those first two paragraphs, the same words are repeated twice, "repeatedly claimed" and "without/no proof", in the first paragraph; then they remind the reader of the "repeatedly claimed" when they start talking about Gregg Phillips, who they also accuse of having 'no proof', in the second paragraph.

 

Further into this hit piece article, there is some good information and I was curious just how long Gregg Phillips has been analyzing the elections. I myself didn't realize he was involved in the 2016 election.

 

Is that what "We have it all' means?

 

In the linked below two part interview, Gregg Phillips reveals he began to get involved in election integrity in 1982 when he learned about the New Jersey Consent Decree, which was some document Republicans had signed that Republicans wouldn't look at, talk about, or touch anything to do with elections for 36 yearsโ€ฆsay what now?

 

Anyway, he expands a little more about an International investigation that involves law enforcement cooperation. The details will be released in six weeks (6 weeks from June 6=July 17) and there is nothing anyone do to stop it. Gregg says that there are individuals and groups and others have made threats that they shouldn't be looking into stuff; then offers to sacrifice themselves for others, and other 'deals'โ€ฆand they've all been turned away. No deals.

 

He also talks about high how the corruption goes, and he says pretty much begins at the State level, anything from there all the way to F.B.I., forget it he says "they're useless". Their strategy has been to build cooperation at the local and municipal levels which has been very successful and they are ready this coming mid-term.

Improving cross-border payments with multi-CBDCs

Cross-border payments today can be slow and expensive. Unlike domestic payments, where banks can pay each other directly on a single national payments platform, there is no single international platform today for cross-border payments and settlements.

 

Instead, the correspondent banking model is used, where banks hold foreign currency accounts with each other. A single cross-border payment could pass through multiple correspondent banks, using the foreign currencies held with them. Each leg of the overall transaction takes time and effort to process, with fees levied that add up quickly and are passed on to customers, resulting in slow and costly cross-border payments.

 

A multi-currency common settlement platform would enable transacting parties to pay each other in different currencies directly, without the need for intermediaries such as correspondent banks.

A multi-CBDC shared platform will enable international settlements on a common platform, streamlining the flow of cross-border payments and making payments faster, cheaper and safer.

An multi-CBDC platform could offer faster, cheaper, and more secure international settlements according to the Bank of International Settlements (BIS).

 

Project Dunbar, an international settlement scheme led by the BIS Innovation Hub, has successfully developed working prototypes to prove the viability of the multi-CBDCs concept. It is still early to speculate what this could mean for international settlements. However, if launched successfully, it could significantly challenge the current international transaction providers like SWIFT.

 

Experiment Proves Multi-CBDCs Could Enable International Settlements

Project Dunbar, a technical experiment that involved the Reserve Bank of Australia, Central Bank of Malaysia, Monetary Authority of Singapore, and South African Reserve Bank, has turned out to be a success, proving that financial institutions can use CBDCs to transact on a shared platform.

 

The joint effort initially started in 2021. According to a report by the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), the project developed two prototypes for a shared platform that could enable international settlements using CBDCs issued by different central banks, which was the projectโ€™s first phase. The BIS said:

 

โ€œThis initial phase of the project successfully developed working prototypes and demonstrated practicable solutions, achieving its aim of proving that the concept of multi-CBDCs was technically viable.โ€

 

The BIS argued that the need for such a system arises since cross-border payments are currently very inefficient. For instance, to complete a single cross-border transfer, a number of banks may be involved. Each of these banks would need to record transactions on multiple ledgers on multiple systems built using different technologies, all of which contribute to making transactions slower and more expensive.

 

Moreover, the bank claimed that cross-border payments currently fail to meet user expectations of cheaper, faster, and more transparent cross-border payments. This describes why the G20, an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union, pledged in 2020 to enhance cross-border payments around the world.

 

Project Dunbar Developed Using DLT Platforms Corda and Quorum

In terms of design, the project faced challenges related to governance, process, and technology.

 

For a multi-CBDC platform shared by different central banks, governance is a key consideration to properly assign each participant the right amount of privileges and modes of access. In the first place, participants will gain access to the platform through the nodes they host or the nodes hosted by others. Also, each participant would have a different level of access.

 

Technologically, the projectโ€™s technical prototypes were developed on two different DLT platformsโ€”Corda and Quorum. The Corda platform development was led by the technology provider R3 while the Quorum platform development was led by Partior, an open industry platform.

 

Moreover, R3โ€™s prototype deployed on the Azure cloud infrastructure while Partior has deployed its prototype on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Multi-CBDC Payments to Challenge Traditional Settlement Methods like SWIFT

Unlike traditional payment settlement methods, which rely on intermediaries and correspondent banks, a multi-CBDC platform would enable participants to transact directly with each other using different CBDCs. This would significantly decrease the time required for a settlement, thus increasing speed.

 

Moreover, currently, a single cross-border transfer requires multiple ledgers to be updated on different systems, making the process time-consuming. However, since transfers are recorded on a single ledger on a multi-CBDC platform, the settlement process is simplified and costs are reduced.

 

It is also worth noting that a multi-CBDC platform would reduce duplicative processes and automate operations through smart contracts. Furthermore, using smart contracts, banks can also offer conditional payments, enabling customers to receive payment upon the fulfillment of predefined conditions.

 

In a nutshell, a multi-CBDC platform could be a game-changer for international settlements considering that it could significantly cut costs and increase speed. Therefore, it can significantly challenge traditional financial transaction providers like SWIFT.

The J6 Inquisition Is An Obvious Soviet-Style Show Trial

As during Communist control of Soviet Russia, the Jan. 6 Committeeโ€™s purpose is to prop up a dying, corrupt regime.

The House Select Committee on Jan. 6 launched the public phase of its proceedings Thursday night in a prime-time hearing with all the fanfare of a Soviet show trial, complete with production assistance from a former president of ABC News.

Just as the communists gathered in Moscow between 1936 and 1938 to purge their political opponents in public show trials, nine members of the lower chamber filed into the Cannon House Office Building to demonize their political opponents as domestic enemies.

โ€œIโ€™m from a part of the country where people justify the actions of slavery, Ku Klux Klan, and lynching,โ€ Chairman Bennie Thompson of Mississippi said in his opening. โ€œIโ€™m reminded of that dark history as I hear voices today try and justify the actions of the insurrectionists on January 6th, 2021.โ€

Thompson went on the brand todayโ€™s political opposition as modern-day Confederates and โ€œdomestic enemies of the Constitution,โ€ cloaking his own authoritarian admonishment under the moral righteousness of preserving American democracy.

โ€œThe world is watching what we do here,โ€ Thompson said. โ€œAmerica has long been expected to be shining city on the hill, a beacon of hope and freedom, a model for others when we are at our best.โ€

The hearing, however, possessed all the signature hallmarks of the infamous Moscow Trials nearly 100 years ago, in which opponents to Joseph Stalinโ€™s regime were hauled before the public and charged with treason and sedition. And those who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 are far from the only targets of the witch hunt spearheaded by Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney and Rep. Thompson.

Legitimate political opposition on Thursday was absent from the hearings. No counternarrative was allowed by the regime, which barred the opposing partyโ€™s selected representatives as every cable network except Fox News carried the programming live. Members conducting the show trial accused their opponents of conspiracy to topple the U.S. government, just as the Soviets accused Old Bolshevik leaders of plans to terminate Stalin. Never mind that American institutions held on Jan. 6, and the federal government came nowhere close to collapse when congressional proceedings were interrupted.

The trials in Moscow culminated in the โ€œGreat Purgeโ€ of dissidents to the incumbent regime, with defendants given death sentences. The Jan. 6 proceedings are aimed at the ultimate purge of former President Donald Trump and his supporters, albeit through societal exile and jail sentences as opposed to execution. According to whistleblowers in the FBI, a purge within the federal law enforcement agency has already begun.

On Tuesday, Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray detailing allegations of multiple whistleblowers who reported they were terminated for their dissident (conservative) views from the agency.

โ€œ[He is a] decorated Iraqi War veteran being run out of the FBI,โ€ Jordan said on Fox News Tuesday night of one whistleblower. โ€œHis allegiance to the country is being questioned because he had the gall to say something that offended the FBI leadership about the Jan. 6 investigation.โ€

 

The other [individual] is also having the same thing happen to them simply because, on an anonymous questionnaire, they said something that the leadership disagreed with them about Jan. 6.

 

Six in total have come forward, Jordan told Fox Newsโ€™s Laura Ingraham.

 

Meanwhile, the Jan. 6 Committeeโ€™s prime targets have included prominent members of the prior administration, just as Stalinโ€™s deputies prosecuted leaders of the old regime. On Friday, former Trump Trade Advisor Peter Navarro was taken by the FBI in handcuffs and charged with crimes stemming from the committeeโ€™s work. On Thursday morning, hours before the Jan. 6 Committeeโ€™s prime-time show trial, lead Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley was arrested by the same agency.

 

Of the more than 100 subpoenas issued by the Select Committee ostensibly established to probe the Capitol riot, less than 10 percent, according to a Federalist analysis, have targeted individuals directly involved in the chaos. The rest have gone after Americans who committed the now-apparent crime of holding a peaceful demonstration at the White House and espoused unacceptable views in the eyes of the incumbent regime.

Breaking: Small plane crashes in Oxnard, California strawberry field

"A small plane crashed in a strawberry field in Oxnard Friday, apparently striking several buildings as it went down, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 8 a.m. near the northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway near the Del Norte Boulevard exit, according to Ventura County Fire Department Capt. Brian McGrath.

Firefighters said there was one โ€œpotential fatalityโ€ resulting from the crash, but could not confirm a death. The captain said a K-9 unit was being brought in to examine the wreck.

The crash resulted in a fire that has since been extinguished.

Firefighters said they found part of the plane on the rooftop of a nearby church across the freeway.

White nationalists and supremacists, on accounts often run by young men, are building thriving, macho communities across social media platforms like Instagram, Telegram and TikTok, evading detection with coded hashtags and innuendo.

 

Their snarky memes and trendy videos are riling up thousands of followers on divisive issues including abortion, guns, immigration and LGBTQ rights. The Department of Homeland Security warned Tuesday that such skewed framing of the subjects could drive extremists to violently attack public places across the U.S. in the coming months.

 

These type of threats and racist ideology have become so commonplace on social media that itโ€™s nearly impossible for law enforcement to separate internet ramblings from dangerous, potentially violent people, Michael German, who infiltrated white supremacy groups as an FBI agent, told the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

 

The heightened concern comes just weeks after a white 18-year-old entered a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, with the goal of killing as many Black patrons as possible. He gunned down 10.

 

That shooter claims to have been introduced to neo-Nazi websites and a livestream of the 2019 Christchurch, New Zealand mosque shootings on the anonymous, online messaging board 4Chan. In 2018, the white man who gunned down 11 at a Pittsburgh synagogue shared his antisemitic rants on Gab, a site that attracts extremists. The year before, a 21-year-old white man who killed 23 people at a Walmart in the largely Hispanic city of El Paso, Texas, shared his anti-immigrant hate on the messaging board 8Chan.

Valdez said Ramos had showed up to the park one time with cuts all over his face, initially claiming he was scratched by a cat before admitting that he did it to himself with a knife.

 

Stephen Garcia, who considered himself Ramosโ€™s best friend in eighth grade, said he was 'bullied by a lot of people' including for over a photo of himself wearing eyeliner which led to 'gay' taunts. China will 'not hesitate to start war' over Taiwan - MoD

 

Officials reported that China's defense minister warned his US counterpart Friday that if Taiwan declares independence, Beijing will "not hesitate to start a war."

 

Wu Qian, the spokesperson of the Information Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China, quoted defense minister Wei Fenghe saying "If anyone dares to split Taiwan from China, the Chinese army will definitely not hesitate to start a war no matter the cost," during a meeting with Lloyd Austin.

 

The meeting is Austin and Wei's first since they spoke on the phone on April 20, which was the first such call since the Biden administration took office.

 

According to the Chinese defense ministry, the Chinese minister also promised to "smash to smithereens any 'Taiwan independence' plot and resolutely uphold the unification of the motherland."

 

He stressed that "Taiwan is China's Taiwanโ€ฆ Using Taiwan to contain China will never prevail."

 

Austin told Fenghe during the talks that Beijing must "refrain from further destabilizing actions toward Taiwan", the US Department of Defense said.

Hungary PM: Embargo on Russian gas is devastating Europe

 

Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban considered on Friday that an embargo on Russian gas imports to the EU will have a devastating effect on the European economy.

 

Responding to a question about the EUโ€™s ongoing debate on the possibility of banning gas supplies from Russia, Orban told the Kossuth radio station that his government was firmly against this step.

 

"Not that Hungary has no alternative. This may ruin the whole of Europe," Orban indicated, expressing his certainty that "common sense will prevail" when discussing this topic within the EU.

 

"Wartime inflation"

 

The Hungarian Prime Minister indicated that the war in Ukraine and the anti-Russian sanctions had already caused "wartime inflation, which is different from inflation in a normal situation" throughout Europe.

 

"As long as there is a war on, there will be inflation. Peace is the only way to stop wartime inflation," he affirmed.

 

Orban highlighted that his government is now forced to take additional measures "to protect Hungarian families and curb utility bills."

 

Europe "dancing" on brink of global economic crisis

 

It is noteworthy that Orban had said that Europe is "dancing" on the brink of a global economic crisis because of sanctions against Russia.

 

The Hungarian PM praised the European Union's plan to exclude Russia's pipeline oil supply from the sixth round of sanctions.

 

According to Orban, "The pipeline solution is not bad. Itโ€™s a good approach, but we need a guarantee that in the event of an accident with a pipeline going through Ukraine, we will have to have the right to get Russian oil from other sources. If we get it, itโ€™s fine."

US funded 46 biolabs in Ukraine: Pentagon

 

The US government supported 46 biological research facilities in Ukraine for the past 20 years, revealed the Pentagon on Thursday.

 

On that note, the US military accused Russia and China of "spreading disinformation and sowing mistrust" about its efforts to rid the world of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

 

In a document titled 'Fact Sheet on WMD Threat Reduction Efforts,' the US Department of Defense for the first time revealed the specific number of facilities its government has sponsored in Ukraine.

 

The Pentagon claimed that these facilities were part of a peaceful public health project and were not focused on developing biological weapons, saying that the US has โ€œworked collaboratively to improve Ukraineโ€™s biological safety, security, and disease surveillance for both human and animal health,โ€ by providing support to โ€œ46 peaceful Ukrainian laboratories, health facilities, and disease diagnostic sites over the last two decades.โ€

 

These programs are supposed to have focused on โ€œimproving public health and agricultural safety measures at the nexus of nonproliferation.โ€

 

The Pentagon insisted that the work of these biolabs was "often" carried out in collaboration with organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), and that it was "consistent with international best practices and norms in publishing research results, partnering with international colleagues and multilateral organizations, and widely disseminating their research and public health findings."

 

Only three laboratories in Ukraine possessed the required safety requirements to conduct the type of studies the Pentagon claimed to be engaged in, according to the Russian military. Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of the Radioactive, Chemical, and Biological Protection Forces, referenced Ukrainian government sources to point to a number of difficulties at one of those sites in Odessa, as an example.

 

The Russian military presented evidence of the Pentagon's involvement in funding laboratories in Ukraine in March. In early May, Kirillov accused Ukraine of launching a biological attack against the breakaway region of Lugansk and of conducting "inhumane experiments" on Ukrainian patients. Further evidence suggested attempts to weaponize drones to disperse pathogens, and attempts to destroy compromising materials after the Russian military operation began in February.

 

Russiaโ€™s Investigative Committee concluded that the US has poured more than $224 million into biological research in Ukraine between 2005 and early 2022. Moscow added that Western pharmaceutical giants, nonprofits and even the US Democratic Party all took part in the scheme.

 

Despite evidence pointing otherwise, the US alleged that it had "full approval" from the Russian government to employ "thousands of former Russian biological weapons scientists to conduct peaceful biological research projects for public health purposes."

 

The US military states elsewhere in the memo that it is attempting to provide "sustainable civilian employmentโ€ for scientists with โ€œweapons-related knowledgeโ€ in order to โ€œremove incentives to seek or accept of terrorist or other state actor employment and financing.โ€

Gas rationing might become a reality in Germany

 

Vice-Chancellor and Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Friday that Germany will face difficult fall and winter seasons as energy supplies become limited.

 

Habeck presented a new energy-saving initiative in Berlin and stated that "As for supporting the people in need, I made clear what lies ahead of us and what is already partly a reality but has not yet definitively become true. We need to be clear that we have a very tough fall and a very tough winter ahead of us. Two legislation packages of relief measures that we as a government have created have the answers."

 

In May, Fatih Birol, International Energy Agency Executive Director suggested that the efficiency of energy supply used must be improved or Europe in general, and Russian energy-dependent countries specifically, are likely to face 'very tough' fall and winter.

 

Birol's statement come after Russia stopped supplying Gazprom Germania the German subsidiary of Gazprom. The decision came after Berlin put the company under trustee management following the Ukraine war.

 

As a result, the Bundesnetzagentur energy regulator, acting as a trustee, had bought replacement gas to fulfill supply contracts with German municipal utilities and regional suppliers.

 

The Economic ministry spokesperson estimated that an extra 10 million cubic meters per day are required to fulfill the needs of the market. The spokesperson further added, in an email response, that "the quantities are procured on the market and at market prices. No information can be given on the exact amounts due to commercial confidentiality."

 

This comes after the sixth package of sanctions was approved by the EU. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had said his country would not deliver gas to Europe for free, in a reiteration of President Vladimir Putin's that Russia would not accept anything but rubles for gas deliveries to "unfriendly countries".

  6. Trump summoned the crowd to the Capitol using Twitter. It will be wild. Allies of his did as well.

  7. Once violence started, Trump refused to send help to beleaguered members of congress and police "

One also has a tank with not correctly spelled Serbia on the tank, and we have a lot of Russian vehicles with โ€œto Berlinโ€ written on them. It is not clear if this tank has that on the barrel. But Serbia is not spelled correctly and the Kremlin has designs on the Balkans as well. So that is part of your context here.

 

The photos show a modern rifle, with likely a grenade launcher, or at least capable of receiving one. The special item on the weapon was not the weapon specifics, but rather Pepe the Frog. One patch on another soldier may indicate a mercenary formation, but I cannot be sure.

 

Pepe is very popular among the far right in the United States. It is something you can take to the bank when you see it on clothing. The person sporting it is most likely a neo-fascist. This has become common in places like Gab Social and 4chan, where it was thoroughly adopted by 2016. If you see it as an avatar on Twitter, chances are this is a far-right account.

 

Given the latter has an appeal outside the United States, it raises many questions. It includes the obvious. What is Pepe the Frog doing in the Donbas? We know some westerners have joined Russia. This may be evidence. Or it indicates something else.

 

Pepe the Frog started as an innocent thing, but it no longer is. This is a symbol of the antisemitic far-right. According to Digit Magazine:

 

In the next few years, many different versions of the Pepe meme started appearing on 4chan, but also on Instagram and Reddit. In 2014, celebrities like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj posted variations of Pepe on their social media. This indicated that the meme had become mainstream. This was a big problem according to white nationalist @JaredTSwift, who gave an interview to Dailybeast. He said that if mainstream celebrities and traditional media get in on a meme, the meme is ruined. When a meme becomes more popular, it tends to get misused as people start using it in different ways than it was originally intended to be used. Racist, anti-Semitic and Nazi versions of the meme were thus created to troll mainstream media and celebrities.

 

Another reason why these memes were created, was to stretch the Overton window for extreme right ideas. Most of these extreme versions were made and spread by the alt-right movement (short for โ€œalternative rightโ€). The alt-right is โ€œa loosely organized far-right movement that emphasizes internet activism and is hostile to both multicultural liberalism and mainstream conservatismโ€ (Lyons, 2017). The alt-right movement mostly acts online and they spread their ideas through videos, memes, blogs and forums (Morgan, 2017). The internet is really embedded in the definition of alt-right as it has helped facilitate the spread of their ideology (Valencia-Garcรญa, 2017). Small online communities brought people together who had ideas that were not accepted by the wider public. In fact, stretching the window of ideas that are accepted as โ€œnormalโ€ is one of the alt-rightโ€™s goals, and a way they tried to achieve this was by claiming Pepe and using the meme as a carrier of their far-right discourse.

 

So in this context, seeing Pepe on rifles on the Donbas may symbolize a further reach of far-right white supremacy ideology. We know that Russia is home to far-right movements as well. It is clear that the regime of Vladimir Putin is a far-right fascist state that rejects LGBT rights, for example.

 

It is a society where traditionalism, as understood by Alexandr Dugin and Putin is the norm. Women know their place. Religion is ascendant, and LGBTQ people are persecuted.

 

This is a form of fascism, and as early as 2015 Russian experts were already using the word Fascism to describe the state Putin built. According to the Atlantic Council:

"Over the last two presidential election cycles, True the Vote has raised millions in donations with claims that it discovered tide-turning voter fraud. Itโ€™s promised to release its evidence. It never has.

 

Instead, the Texas-based nonprofit organization has engaged in a series of questionable transactions that sent more than $1 million combined to its founder, a longtime board member romantically linked to the founder and the groupโ€™s general counsel, an investigation by Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting has found."

 

In their opening statement, it is clear the criminals are going to go after her financially and will be spreading rumors to paint her as the slut that they are, "its founder, a longtime board member romantically linked to the founder". It is not too hard to see they are clearly suggesting an affair going on between Catherine and Gregg Phillips.

 

Reveal News claims to have done a thorough investigation and based on their findings one of their experts declared, โ€œThis certainly looks really bad,โ€ said Laurie Styron, executive director of CharityWatch. Reveal News is suggesting "the Texas attorney general and Internal Revenue Service should investigate."

 

The documents they claim to have reviewed are tax returns which "are riddled with inconsistencies and have regularly been amended. Experts who reviewed the filings said it makes it difficult to understand how True the Vote is truly spending its donations."

 

Reveal News claims to have reached out for comment but, "Engelbrecht declined to be interviewed for this story, routing specific inquiries through Bopp and her accountant. Bopp wouldnโ€™t answer questions about the loan and who approved the contracts, saying that was confidential financial information."

Paxton allegedly agreed to look into the court case, but refused handing over any documents "citing attorney-client privilege."

 

And of course they are going to go after everywhere and anywhere this information is being broadcast: "Meanwhile, True the Voteโ€™s work continues to get airtime in Trumpโ€™s speeches. At a rally earlier this year in Southeast Texas, the former president celebrated Engelbrecht as a champion.

I know that's why it's all a big joke to me now, even true but I can't take seriously anything being said here for there are simply to many double or deep meanings to get lost into, unfortunately I am not laughing it rather hurts being unable to move on.
