Pavel Antov, Russian sausage tycoon who criticized Ukraine war, dies in fall

A Russian sausage tycoon who criticized the invasion of Ukraine plunged to his death from a luxury hotel in India — three days after his friend lost his life on the same trip.

Pavel Antov, who was reportedly celebrating his upcoming 66th birthday, was found dead outside the Hotel Sai International in Rayagada, the UK’s Telegraph reported.

 

According to Russian state media, Antov, who was also a politician,died in a fall from his third-floor window at the swanky hotel.

 

His passing on Sunday is the latest in a series of mysterious deaths involving Russian tycoons since the start of strongman Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine.

 

On Thursday, Antov’s friend Vladimir Bidenov died at the same hotel after he was found lying unconscious in his room surrounded by empty wine bottles, according to the news outlet.

 

Police Superintendent Vivekananda Sharma said Bidenov suffered a stroke and that his pal “was depressed after his death and he too died,” the BBC reported. (Kek, that’s a pathetic explanation)

 

Alexei Idamkin, the Russian consul in Kolkata, told the Tass news agency that investigators did not see a “criminal element in these tragic events,” according to the BBC.

 

“We are aware of the tragedy that happened in Odisha, where two of our citizens died. One of them is Pavel Antov, member of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Oblast,” the Russian embassy in India told local outlet NDTV.

 

“We are in constant contact with the relatives of the deceased as well as with local authorities. As far as we know,police do not yet see a criminal component in these tragic events,” it added.

 

A senior police official said Antov’s death appeared to be a case of suicide, news agency PTI reported.

 

The wealthy member of Putin’s United Russia party was chairman of the agriculture committee at the legislature in Russia’s Vladimir region, the Telegraph reported.

 

Antov was the founder of sausage producer Vladimir Standard and the country’s top-earning lawmaker, according to Russian Forbes, which put his annual income at almost $156 million.

 

In July, Antov slammed the Kremlin’s missile attacks on Kyiv as terrorism on WhatsApp, where he posted a story about a girl who had been pulled out of the rubble at her demolished home.

 

“It’s extremely difficult to call all this anything but terror,” he wrote.

 

Antov quickly apologized for the message, saying it had been posted by someone else and that he was “a supporter of the president and my country’s patriot” and “shared the goals” of the invasion.

 

Several Russian magnates have died under strange circumstances since the invasion began.

 

In September, the head of Russia’s oil giant Lukoil, Ravil Maganov, reportedly fell from a hospital window in Moscow.

SBF Case Moved to Clinton Appointed Judge Lewis Kaplan Who’s Allowed Garbage Trump Rape Case to Continue and Oversaw Prince Andrew Case Too

 

Here we go again. Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried’s case was assigned to Bill Clinton-appointed District Judge Lewis Kaplan.

 

TGP reported that after allowing SBF to return home to his parents’ house before Christmas that the judge who set him free next recused herself from the case because of her husband’s conflicts.

 

 

So fast forward to today when Sam Bankman-Fried’s criminal case was reassigned to Bill Clinton-appointed District Judge Lewis Kaplan, recently known for handling a Epstein-linked sexual abuse lawsuit against Britain’s Prince Andrew, and defamation lawsuits against Donald Trump, and is also known for presiding over a number of federal racketeering cases involving Mafia members. In April 2010, Kaplan was assigned to preside over the cases of 14 Gambino crime family members arrested on charges, among others, of racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, witness tampering (in the 1992 trial of John Gotti), and sex trafficking of a minor.

 

This is good news for SBF. Judge Kaplan is part of the Deep State Democrat gang.

 

Judge Kaplan has allowed E. Jane Carroll to sue President Trump for alleged rape. A Case President Trump has adamantly denied.

 

The former president will have to sit for a deposition on 19 October and answer questions under oath, US District Judge Lewis A Kaplan ruled on Wednesday (12 October).

 

Mr Trump’s legal team had asked for the testimony to be delayed – a request now denied by the judge.

 

Roberta Kaplan, Ms Carroll’s attorney, said in a statement: “We are pleased that Judge Kaplan agreed with our position not to stay discovery in this case.”

 

Mr Trump has denied Carroll’s allegations. Alina Habba, his attorney, told The Associated Press in a statement: “We look forward to establishing on the record that this case is, and always has been, entirely without merit.”

 

In his ruling, Judge Kaplan wrote that “the defendant should not be permitted to run the clock out on plaintiff’s attempt to gain a remedy for what allegedly was a serious wrong,” and cited the “advanced age” of the parties. MrTrump is 76 years old and Ms Carroll is 78.

 

Carroll’s interviews on TV concerning her allegations should have been enough to throw out any case but not with Judge Kaplan. It’s against President Trump.

 

Judge Kaplan also oversaw the sexual abuse (Jeffrey Epstein-related) case against Prince Andrew.

 

A U.S. judge dismissed the sex abuse lawsuit against Britain’s Prince Andrew on Tuesday, three weeks after lawyers for the American woman who filed it reached a deal calling for the prince to make a substantial donation to his accuser’s charity and declare he never meant to malign her character.

 

U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan signed court papers dismissing the August lawsuit after lawyers on both sides asked him to do so earlier in the day. The judge had given them until March 17 to complete the deal or he would set a trial date. The lawsuit cannot be refiled.

 

The lawyers revealed three weeks ago that they had tentatively agreed to a settlement in which the prince would donate to Virginia Giuffre’s charity and make the declaration about her character.

 

Andrew strenuously denied Giuffre’s allegations after she sued him, accusing the British royal of sexually abusing her while she traveled with financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2001 when she was 17.

 

Kaplan has been around for some time after being appointed by Clinton. He’s the perfect judge for SBJ.

We were cheated out of much of what was Trumps agenda for four years, during which time “they” tried to prevent him from being elected, then inaugurated, and spent the rest of his term trying to remove him from office, and even impeached him AFTER his term, ALL on “Trumped-up” charges.

 

We were cheated out of effective people being appointed to key positions, due to approval processes, by people who HATE this country.

 

We were cheated out of several years of the “normalcy” that we had become accustomed to, due to “Covid”, and all of the idiocy that came with it, some of which we are still experiencing.

 

We were cheated out of the 2020 and 2022 elections, with no help from the courts, the legislatures, or the executive branch, at the federal or state levels.

 

The military and law enforcement have failed to step up. It is arguable that they would stand against their own sworn oaths of office, if so ordered. They have become a sham.

US military families sue over ISIS payments – media

 

Relatives of three Americans reportedly target French cement giant Lafarge after federal conviction

 

Citing a recent judgment against the French cement-maker Lafarge in US federal court, families of two US Navy sailors and one retired Marine who were killed in Syria, Iraq and Libya are seeking damages from the company as well, ABC News reported.

 

Islamic State terrorists once claimed large portions of Syria and Iraq, including the northern Syria town of Jalabiya where Lafarge had built a massive cement plant. Before ISIS and other jihadist groups operating in the area forced the plant to close, the French company paid them over $6 million in bribes – for which a US federal court fined it $777.8 million in October.

 

The first prosecution of a company for supporting terrorism has created a precedent that relatives of three Americans killed by terrorists say entitles them to compensation too.

 

"Defendants’ payments to and business partnership with ISIS provided ISIS the seed capital it needed to transform from a fledgling militia in the early 2010s into a brutal terroristic behemoth with the capability and intent to kill Americans,” the lawsuit alleges, according to ABC, which first reported on it Sunday.

 

Since Lafarge has already “admitted to paying millions of dollars to ISIS," the lawsuit “is intended to hold it accountable to the military families devastated by its heinous and unlawful conduct,” an attorney with the law firm Jenner & Block told ABC.

 

Relatives of David Berry, Chief Petty Officer Jason Finan, and Senior Petty Officer Scott Cooper Dayton described the "severe mental anguish, extreme emotional pain and suffering" they have suffered as a result of their deaths. Berry was killed in January 2015 in the ISIS attack on the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli, Libya. He was a retired Marine working for a private contractor at the time. Finan and Dayton were killed by improvised explosive devices (IED) blamed on IS, one in Iraq in October 2016 and the other in Syria a month later.

 

The lawsuit accuses Lafarge of giving money and cement to both IS and Al-Nusra Front terrorists. Various jihadist groups had rebelled against the Syrian government in 2011, with outside backing, and ended up controlling the area around the cement plant in Jalabiya. The French company paid bribes in order to continue operating the plant, until the IS takeover in 2014 forced them to evacuate all foreign staff.

 

Al-Nusra was allied with Al-Qaeda but in January 2017 renamed itself as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Many of its militants posed as “moderate rebels” to obtain training and weapons from the US, which sought to overthrow the government in Damascus.

 

Documents published in September 2021 by the Turkish Anadolu Agency showed that Lafarge had been working with French intelligence, feeding them information about IS and other terrorist groups.

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is defending New York Congressman-elect George Santos while he faces backlash for fabricating details of his personal and professional life.

 

Greene, of Georgia, praised her incoming GOP colleague for supposedly "being honest with his district now" in a series of tweets attacking Democrats on Tuesday. Santos has admitted to never working for finance companies Citigroup and Goldman Sachs or graduating from college with multiple degrees, as he had claimed while campaigning.

 

Santos defended the lies as merely "embellishing" his résumé in an interview with the New York Post. He has also said that he "never claimed to be Jewish," insisting that he had only claimed to be "Jew-ish" in the past. Greene brushed off the inconsistencies on Twitter and attempted to deflect the focus on Santos by assailing Democrats.

 

"George Santos lied about his resume, and the left is demanding he resign," Greene said in a tweet, before referencing an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that accuses Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota of "marrying her brother" and launching attacks on Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and murder victim George Floyd.

 

Greene went on to accuse Assistant Health Secretary Rachel Levine, who is transgender, of "lying" about her gender. She then took aim at Democratic Representatives Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, along with outgoing National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci.

 

Greene also repeated falsehoods about COVID-19 vaccines and argued that the House January 6 committee had "lied" by accusing former President Donald Trump and other Republicans of having "organized an insurrection."

 

"The left doesn't care about lying," Greene tweeted. "The real reason they're attacking George Santos is that he the first openly gay Republican elected and they hate him for it.

 

"I'm glad George is being honest with his district now and look forward to seeing how George legislates & votes," she continued.

 

Although Santos is openly gay, some have also questioned his sexual orientation. A report published by The Daily Beast last week cites court documents that reveal Santos' previously undisclosed September 2019 divorce from a woman. Santos told the Post that he had dated women in the past but is now "very much gay."

 

Misrepresentations of his heritage prompted the Republican Jewish Coalition on Tuesday to disinvite Santos from attending any future group events.

 

"He deceived us and misrepresented his heritage," Matt Brooks, coalition CEO, said in a statement. "In public comments and to us personally, he previously claimed to be Jewish … He will not be welcome at any future RJC event."

 

Other claims that Santos has admitted to lying about include not owning 13 properties that he previously claimed were his. Instead, the New York Republican owed thousands of dollars in unpaid rent to a landlord.

 

While Democrats have called for him to step down or be ejected from the newly Republican-controlled House when it convenes next month, Santos has said that he is looking forward to taking his seat.

 

Democrat Robert Zimmerman, who lost to Santos in November, urged the Republican to resign while challenging him to a special election on Twitter.

A Michigan court ruling that found public school teachers are exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests raises “transparency” concerns in classrooms, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

In March, the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit on behalf of a parent seeking curriculum taught in a History of Ethnic and Gender Studies class.

“The judge’s decision in this case should be extremely concerning to anyone who is paying attention to transparency efforts across the state,” Holly Wetzel, director of public relations at The Mackinac Center for Public Policy told the DCNF.

 

A recent Michigan court ruling, which found that public school teachers are exempt from the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), raises red flags for “transparency” in schools, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

 

The Oakland County Circuit Court ruled on Dec. 15 that public school teachers are not required to submit work-related documents to satisfy FOIA requests because they are not considered “public bodies,” according to the decision. Experts, however, told the DCNF that the ruling should concern parents who want to know what is happening in their kids’ classrooms.

 

“Virtual learning during Covid brought unprecedented transparency to public schools, revealing the radical political agenda being pushed in some classrooms,” Trent England, founder of the electoral college advocacy group Save Our States, told the DCNF. “That led to outrage and a demand for school choice, so it’s no surprise school administrators are fighting to get back into the shadows. But it’s disappointing that a judge would do their dirty work.”

 

In March 2022, the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit against the Rochester Community School District on behalf of a local parent who attempted to file a FOIA request to obtain information about its History of Ethnic and Gender Studies class. While the district provided a unit plan for the course, it refused to provide additional documents, such as tests and quizzes, related to the class.

 

The parent became interested in the course after seeing a post about it on social media, according to MLive.

 

Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression General Counsel Ronnie London echoed the court ruling and told the DCNF that the definition of “public body” does not list “employees” under its “subsection for county/city/township” offices.

 

“As I understand it, the court concludes that, regardless of whether teachers are employees of their school administrations or are employees of the bargaining unit (or both, I suppose), as ’employees’ at the local level, they do not fall within the statute,” he said.

 

Steve Delie, director of transparency and open government at the Mackinac Center, wrote in a press release that the group is “disappointed” with the decision and claimed that it “drastically weakens transparency in Michigan’s schools and could have severe implications for transparency efforts across the state.”

 

“Parents deserve to know what their children are being taught, and this decision will only make that more difficult,” he wrote.

Bruce Springsteen Pleads Guilty to Drinking in National Park

A former Microsoft technologist is behind bars after he plowed his car into a crowded Washington State supermarket on Friday night after alleging that he's being pursued by a murderous satanic cult.

 

After crashing his car into the front of the Fred Meyer store in Everett 50 miles north of Seattle, Ronald Lewis, 57, covered himself in gasoline, police said.

 

Lewis then sat in his car as responding officers tried to negotiate his surrender. That's when his car caught fire.

 

Miraculously, Lewis escaped his car with very minor injuries. Although no official statement has been made by police regarding his motives, Lewis car had the message: 'Satanic Panic' scrolled at least twice on his car.

 

In the weeks leading up to the incident, Lewis alleged in multiple Facebook posts that his life was being threatened by a murderous satanic cult.

 

The entire incident lasted around an hour with no other injuries being reported. A Fred Meyer spokesperson said that the incident caused $50,000 worth of damage.

 

Lewis appeared in Everett District Court on Tuesday and was held on a $250,000 bond. He's charged with arson and malicious mischief. The judge in the case also demanded that Lewis face a mental evaluation before any possible release, reports My Everett News.

 

The outlet reports that Lewis told officers that he was trying to get the attention of the FBI because he wanted to talk to them about 'satanic stalking he believed he was experiencing.'

 

In addition to cans of gasoline, Lewis also had a propane can with him at the time of the crash.

 

'Satanic Panic' is a phrase typically associated with the thousands of unsubstantiated cases of ritual abuse and cult activities in the United States during the 1980s and 90s.

 

According to his Facebook page, Lewis formerly worked as a technologist for Microsoft. Technologists typically work on the hardware necessary for software engineer's designs.

 

In one post, Lewis wrote about beta testing an early version of a digital camera and coming into contact with a 'Satan worshipping band' at a concert.

He writes in the bio section of his Facebook page that he is a native of Olympia, Washington, and that he now lives in Edmonds, Washington. Lewis is a graduate of Washington State University.

 

In his last public post before the crash, on December 14, Lewis said that he was once involved in an armed standoff with police at the Seattle Sheraton hotel after his girlfriend told police that he was going to shoot her.

 

He wrote that it was 'a lie and proved to be a lie.' Lewis goes on to allege that 'hundreds if not thousands of Microsoft' employees are members of a nationwide satanic cult. Lewis wrote: 'They are extremely dangerous and will not stop.'

 

After being followed for hours by cult members, Lewis said that he was overcome with poison but into his car through the ventilation system. He concludes his post by saying that his girlfriend who alleged he pulled a gun on her, is a member of the cult.

 

Earlier this month, the manager of the Fred Meyer store in question, Tyler Stumpf, told a local city council meeting that he needed more help from law enforcement in keeping his store safe, reports the Everett Herald.

 

Stumpf said that the outside of his store had become an open air drug market with addicts regularly using his bathroom to use narcotics. In one particular incident, Stumpf said that a man brandishing two knives was spotted in the parking lot.

 

The manager said that local police never responded to the scene despite being called.

Elane B. Stock resigned as a director of Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE: YUM) on Dec. 22, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Stock’s resignation went into effect the same day, the filing states. It also specified that her resignation “was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.”

Before joining ServiceMaster in 2020, Stock served as Group President of Kimberly-Clark International, a division of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a global consumer products company, from 2014 to 2016, according to Yum’s most recent proxy filing.

Stock earned $260,000 in stock awards in 2021,according to the proxy filing. In total, she owned 25,577 units.

Yum’s board of directors is made up of 10 independent directors: Paget Alves, Keith Barr, Mirian M. Graddick-Weir, Thomas C. Nelson, Chris Connor, Justin Skala, Brian C. Cornell, Tanya Domier and Annie Young-Scrivner. It also includes David Gibbs, the company’s CEO, a non-independent director.

Former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin testified before the House select committee investigating the events at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, that he had discussed invoking the 25th Amendment with then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, contradicting the nation's former top diplomat.

 

"Do you recall talking to Secretary Pompeo in General Milley's presence about the 25th Amendment?" the committee asked him, per the Washington Examiner. The line of inquiry became public when the committee released the transcripts of 34 of its interviews earlier this month.

 

"I mean, I do recall speaking to Secretary Pompeo about the 25th Amendment," was Mnuchin's reply. "I don't recall it being in that circumstance, and I surely don't recall that I stopped the conversation when General Milley came up… [the amendment] came up very briefly in our conversation." Pompeo has denied discussing the 25th Amendment, per the outlet.

 

"[We] both believed that the best outcome was a normal transition of power, which was working, and neither one of us contemplated in any serious format the 25th Amendment," he continued.

 

Section Four of the 25th Amendment allows for the cabinet to remove the president from office should the vice president and a majority of its members deem him unfit to serve. Mnuchin was one of the few original Trump cabinet members to serve throughout his entire term.

 

The Jan. 6 committee released its final report in December after spending more than one year conducting high-profile public hearings and numerous interviews into the events of that day. The report heavily criticized former President Donald Trump for allegedly calling for a violent insurrection to keep himself in power. Its members unanimously voted to issue criminal referrals to the Department of Justice against the former president earlier this month.

 

The committee faces certain dissolution in January when Republicans take control of the House. The party has largely condemned the committee as a partisan farce.

Long Island Rep.-elect George Santos came clean to The Post on Monday, admitting that he lied on the campaign trail about his education and work experience — but insisting that the controversy won’t deter him from serving out his two-year term in Congress.

 

“I am not a criminal,” Santos said at one point during his exclusive interview. “This [controversy] will not deter me from having good legislative success. I will be effective. I will be good.”

 

Santos’ professional biography was called into question earlier this month after the New York Times reported that he misrepresented a number of claims, including where he attended college and his alleged employment history with high-profile Wall Street firms.

 

“My sins here are embellishing my resume. I’m sorry,” Santos said Monday.

 

Santos confessed he had “never worked directly” for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, chalking that fib up to a “poor choice of words.”

 

The 34-year-old now claims instead that a company called Link Bridge, where he worked as a vice president, did business with both of the financial giants.

 

“I will be clearer about that. It was stated poorly,” Santos said of the lie.

 

At Link Bridge, Santos said, he helped make “capital introductions” between clients and investors, and Goldman Sachs and Citigroup were “LPS, Limited Partnerships” that his company dealt with.

 

He also admitted that he never graduated from any college, despite previously claiming to have received a degree from Baruch in 2010.

 

“I didn’t graduate from any institution of higher learning. I’m embarrassed and sorry for having embellished my resume,” he said. “I own up to that … We do stupid things in life.”

Santos, elected to Congress on Nov. 8 to represent the Long Island- and Queens-based 3rd District, was also accused of lying about his family history, saying on his campaign website that his mother was Jewish and his grandparents escaped the Nazis during World War II.

The soon-to-be lawmaker confirmed to The Post on Monday that he was indeed married to a woman for about five years, from 2012 until his divorce in 2017, but insisted that he is now a happily married gay man.

 

“I dated women in the past. I married a woman. It’s personal stuff,” Santos said, adding that the relationship “got a little toxic.”

 

“I’m very much gay,” he says now. “I’m OK with my sexuality. People change. I’m one of those people who change.”

 

Santos also acknowledged being a deadbeat tenant in Sunnyside, Queens, where the Times reported he was ordered by a judge to pay more than $12,000 to a former landlord who claimed non-payment of several months of rent — as well as that Santos had tried to pass a check that bounced.

 

On Monday, Santos claimed that at the time of the lawsuit, his family was deep in medical debt from his mother’s cancer battle.

 

“We were engulfed in debt,” he said. “We had issues paying rent at the time. It’s the vulnerability of being human. I am not embarrassed by it.”

 

Santos said his mother died of cancer on Dec. 23, 2016, after living with him at the Queens apartment and acknowledged the judgment against him.

 

Asked if he ever actually paid the arrears, Santos admitted: “We didn’t pay it off. I completely forgot about it.”

 

Santos also admitted to lying when he claimed that he owned 13 different properties, saying he now resides at his sister’s place in Huntington but is looking to purchase his own place.

 

“George Santos does not own any properties,” he said.

 

Santos was defiant on one point — denying an allegation raised by the Times that he had an unspecified criminal charge filed against him in Brazil.

 

“I am not a criminal here — not here or in Brazil or any jurisdiction in the world,” Santos said. “Absolutely not. That didn’t happen.”

 

The incoming congressman dismissed concerns that his lies will impact his effectiveness in representing New Yorkers in the lower chamber in the new year.

 

“I campaigned talking about the people’s concerns, not my resume,” Santos told The Post.

 

“I intend to deliver on the promises I made during the campaign — fighting crime, fighting to lower inflation, improving education,” he added, saying that “The people elected me to fight for them.”

 

“I came to DC to bring results on those issues and that’s what I’m going to do.”

 

Meanwhile, Santos said the $11 million in assets reported in his financial disclosure report filed in September are tied to his Devolder consulting firm.

 

“All of my finances come from the firm. The assets are the contracts with the firm,” he told The Post.

 

His campaign committee, Devolder-Santos for Congress, also reported that he personally loaned his campaign more than $600,000.

 

Senior House Republicans were apparently aware of the inaccuracies and embellishments in the member-elect’s resume, and the topic became a “running joke,” multiple insiders close to House GOP leadership told The Post over the weekend.

But just two days later, the Wellesley, Massachusetts resident and mom of two had died from complications from the flu. The doctor said hers was a "one-in-a-million case," her brother, Ian Meropol, told the Boston Globe.

McMahon, an executive at American Express and Burberry, had no history of health issues, and was a sub-4-hour marathoner, her brother told the Globe.

And yet, she started feeling feverish Monday night and was rushed to the hospital with difficulty breathing early the next morning. She died Tuesday afternoon.

About 8% of Americans get sick from the flu each season, according to the CDC, with children and teens under 18 at highest risk. Complications can include bacterial pneumonia, ear infections, sinus infections, and worsening of chronic illnesses.

Deaths from the flu range from hundreds to tens of thousands each year in the US, depending on the season. People under 2 and over 65 are most likely to die from the flu, especially if the older people have underlying health conditions like asthma, heart disease, or diabetes, according to the CDC.

Flu shots reduce the risk of severe illness, and prevent millions of cases and thousands of deaths each year, the CDC said.It's unclear if McMahon was vaccinated.

McMahon leaves behind her husband, Jimmy, of nearly 10 years, and their two children, 5-year-old James and 7-year-old Rosalie.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist her family McMahon family "with the many different aspects of their lives that are the unfortunate result of Price's untimely and unexpected passing," the page says.

"Everything we are doing going forward is about Rosie, and James, and Jimmy," Meropol told the Boston Globe. "That's what our life is going to be dedicated to, forever."

WASHINGTON — Sen. Mike Lee comes up several times in the Jan. 6 committee's final report, including in a section titled "Fake Electors and the 'President of the Senate Strategy,'" and in a footnote calling Donald Trump's lead lawyer "walking malpractice."

 

The Democratic-led House panel's 684-page report contains detailed descriptions of the scheme former President Trump and his allies pushed to overturn the 2020 election. Much of it focuses on efforts to send alternative slates of electors to Congress from states Joe Biden won.

 

The report says Lee encouraged the idea of having state legislatures endorse competing electors for Trump. But it also says he became concerned about the plan not only for the 2020 election but for future presidential elections.

 

Lee's role in helping the White House explore ways to keep Trump in office were first revealed in a series of text messages between himself and then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows last April. Lee ultimately concluded that Congress' only role in presidential elections is to open and count states' electoral votes. He voted to certify the electoral results on Jan. 6, 2021.

 

"Indeed, as the joint session approached, Senator Mike Lee had expressed grave concerns about the fake elector effort in a series of text messages to one of the Trump team's senior legal advisors," the report says.

 

"Although Senator Lee had spent a month encouraging the idea of having State legislatures endorse competing electors for Trump, he grew alarmed as it became clear that the Trump team wanted the fake electors' votes to be considered on January 6th even without authorization from any State government body."

'Ever-changing rumors'

In one of the text messages to Meadows, Lee wrote that he was spending 14 hours a day investigating "ever-changing rumors" about alternate electors, including calling officials in states that Biden had won. Lee said he found that none of the states were changing their electoral votes, and that he never urged states to do that then or at any time before.

 

The text exchanges show how Lee initially supported legal challenges to the election but ultimately came to sour on the effort and the tactics deployed by Trump and his lawyers.

 

The Jan. 6 committee also mentions text messages Lee sent to Trump adviser Cleta Mitchell, a Republican lawyer and conservative activist. Mitchell was on the call in which Trump pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" votes to overturn the election.

 

'A dangerous idea'

"On December 30th, Senator Lee texted Trump advisor Cleta Mitchell that January 6th was 'a dangerous idea,' including 'for the republic itself.' He explained that, 'I don't think we have any valid basis for objecting to the electors' because 'it cannot be true that we can object to any state's presidential electors simply because we don't think they handled their election well or suspect illegal activity,'" according to the report,

 

"Senator Lee even questioned her about the plan's dangerous long-term consequences: '[w]ill you please explain to me how this doesn't create a slippery slope problem for all future presidential elections?'"

The report says that after Trump finally told Capitol rioters to go home, he and Giuliani, his lead lawyer, continued to seek to delay the joint session of Congress.

The Dutch government’s plans to buy out, and seize if necessary, thousands of farms to shut them down to comply with a European Union green agenda directive has been branded as the “Great Reset in full force”.

 

Last week, the globalist government of Prime Minister Mark Rutte finally spelt out its plans to cut nitrogen emissions to fall in line with the EU’s Natura 2000 programme, which seeks to stamp out agriculture near supposedly at-risk wildlife regions across the bloc. In the plans laid out by Rutte’s cabinet, the government will seek to buy out between two and three thousand farms with a one-off payment, starting by as soon as April of next year.

 

It is still to be confirmed at what rate the farmers can expect to be paid for their land, however, leaks have suggested that it will likely be around 120 per cent of the estimated worth. The government has said that while it hopes the scheme will be voluntarily adopted, if enough farmers refuse the offer, they will embark on forcibly seizing the land from the farmers, who staged mass protests over the summer against the plans.

 

Saying that there is “no better offer coming, nitrogen minister Christianne van der Wal told MPs on Friday that the government would “with pain in the heart” seize the land if necessary.

 

Commenting on the scheme, Dutch political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek told Breitbart London: “What this shows you is that the will of the people means nothing to our government. Despite all of the protest and (inter)national backlash, they’re pushing through with what I think are criminal policies.

 

“Our government doesn’t cater to the wishes of it’s own citizens, it caters to globalist institutions whose interest it is to control the food supply, so they can control us.”

 

She concluded: “It’s the great reset in full force.”

 

Earlier this year, Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced his intentions to cut nitrogen emissions from livestock farms in half by the year 2030 in order to satisfy goals laid out in the European Union’s Natura 2000 scheme, which requires that all EU member-states remove industry or farming from areas deemed to be of ecological importance.

 

The government has claimed that in order to fulfil the EU goals, some farms may have to reduce their emissions by as much as 95 per cent and that up to 30 per cent of all livestock farms may need to be shut down for good.

 

In response to the green scheme, thousands of farmers staged protests throughout the country, using tractors to shut down motorways and other critical infrastructure.

 

The attempts to shut down great swaths of the Dutch agricultural sector come amid increasing concerns over food security due to the war in Ukraine, which has traditionally been one of the bread baskets of Europe. The Netherlands is also a major food producer in Europe, with the LTO national farming lobbying group estimating the industry accounts for 54,000 businesses throughout the country and produced 94.5 billion euros in exports in 2019.

 

The threat of shutting down livestock farms potentially jeopardises the Netherlands’ position as the largest exporter of meat in Europe and the fifth-largest dairy exporter in the world.

Alexandra Eckersley, the adopted daughter of MLB Hall of Fame pitcher Dennis Eckersley, is facing a felony charge of reckless conduct after her newborn baby was found unclothed and freezing in 18-degree weather in a dark wooded area in New Hampshire early Monday morning, according to officials.

 

Officers responded to a report of a woman who had given birth to a baby in a tent in the woods near the West Side Arena in Manchester just before 1 a.m., police said, per Boston 25 News. Alexandra, 26, allegedly lied to authorities about the baby’s whereabouts and claimed she had given birth prematurely.

 

After an hour of searching, police found the baby uncovered and struggling to breathe on the floor of a tent near the Piscataquag River at Electric Street, according to the Manchester Fire Department. Alexandra is set to be arraigned Tuesday in Hillsboro Superior Court-North, according to the Manchester Police Department. She was also arrested for endangering the welfare of a child.

I think you misunderstand my point. I'm not saying one chooses their own creator. There is one Creator, and our Creator endowed us with the ability to create new abilities. He forsaw what we will become when we could not. If there is intelligent design, I can't conceive of why He would make it a static design…not that I'm purporting to know His thoughts, but making the inverse assumption would also be the same folly, no?

Ronald Reagan's favorite macaroni and cheese.

1/2 pd. Macaroni

1 teaspoon butter

1 egg beaten

3 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese. Reserve 1/2 for top

Put in buttered casserole pan

1 t. Dry mustard dissolve in 1 t hot water

1 t. Salt

1 cup milk

Pour mixture over macaroni sprinkle with reserved cheese.

Bake 350* 45 minutes until custard is set.

Enjoy.

Granny orbs needs a box fan with a HEPA filter.

 

I bought a 20" box fan a few months back, and noticed it has notches in the feet for holding a 20" HEPA filter …as I was getting ready to tape on a 20" HEPA filter.
