Putin: West's Weapons Supply to Ukraine Won't Be Enough to Outgun Russia

 

The United States and its European allies have sent tens of billions of dollars-worth of military equipment to Kiev to fuel a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine. Moscow has warned repeatedly about the consequences of these actions for regional and global security.

Western countries won't be able to deliver enough weapons in Ukraine to outgun Russia, President Vladimir Putin has assured.

"Threats exist, of course. When weapons are supplied to a country we are in conflict with, this is always a threat. As far how they can be assessed, of course we know about the plans to supply them," Putin said in an interview with Russian TV on Saturday, responding to a question about whether Moscow considers Western arms deliveries to Kiev a "threat" to national security.

"We see, hear about and know about these delivery plans. You mentioned one million shells, about the delivery of tanks. One million - is it a lot or a little? This is a significant amount. First of all, the leading NATO countries, let's say the United States of America, according to our information, produce about 14,000-15,000 shells per monthโ€ฆUkraine's Armed Forces, according to our military's estimates, use up to 5,000 shells per day of hostilities," Putin said.

"Russian production, the military-industrial complex, is developing at a very fast pace - at a pace that many did not expect. And over the same period, Russian industry will produce three times more ammunition - even more than three times," Putin said.

Russia knows about NATO's plans to ramp up shell production to 42,000 per month by this year, and to 75,000 per year by 2025, Putin said. "We don't know yet what will happen in 2025, but right now, this year, 14,000-15,000 shells are being produced, despite the fact that Ukraine's military is spending up to 5,000 per day," he reiterated.

"We are concerned about [weapons deliveries] from the perspective that this is an attempt to prolong the conflict," Putin said, noting that "from the point of view of the logic of those who provoked this conflict and are trying to preserve it at any cost, [the supply of weapons] is probably the right decision. But in my opinion, this will only lead to a greater tragedy," he said.

Emphasizing that Russia will not allow for the "excessive militarization" of its economy to match Western arms aid being sent to Kiev, Putin said that to date, Moscow hasn't reduced civilian construction, health care, education and infrastructure development, but the West will be forced to do so.

 

"The [NATO] arsonists plan to send between 420 and 440 tanks to Ukraine. Here it is the same thing as with ammunition. During this period, we will produce and modernize over 1,600 tanks," Putin said. "The total number of tanks of the Russian Army will be three times greater than the number of tanks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Even more than three times," he added.

In January 2021, after the storming of the U.S. Capitol that was carried out by a mob of supporters of Trump, Bartiromo hosted Trump economic advisor Peter Navarro on her show, where he falsely claimed in the interview that Trump had won the election. Bartiromo concurred, falsely claiming, "We know that there were irregularities in this election."[56][57] In a broadcast on January 19, she falsely claimed that Democrats wore MAGA clothing and were behind the storming of the Capitol.[58][59] In July 2021, Bartiromo referenced Ashli Babbitt, who was shot while part of a pro-Trump mob trying to push through a barricaded door inside the U.S. Capitol building, a "wonderful woman" who "went to peaceful protest."[60][61]

Before getting to the latest developments regarding the worries of the mid-tier donor class within the republican apparatus, I want to provide some context for the overall Ron DeSantis (RdS) management agenda.

I can trace the origin of the RdS 2024 scheme to an originating timeframe in late fall 2021. That means that everything within the professional republican apparatus, those who manipulate the political events from the controlling wing of the republican side of the UniParty, had RdS โ€™24 as the agenda throughout the 2022 midterm calendar.

With that context, the events around the 2022 midterms and the surprising lack of professional republican gains in the midterm election, start to take on an entirelynew Machiavellian light. Not necessarily the RNC corporation; rather, the subsidiary weaponized groups including theRepublican Governors Association and the Senatereelection schemes spearheaded by Mitch McConnell et al. In hindsight, all done with the context of laying the groundwork for โ€™22 MAGA defeat and โ€™24 RdS rise as an outcome. I was saying thereโ€™s no way the GOPe wing would be this stupid.

TheWall St, K-Street, multinational and billionaire funding into RdSduring the spring of 2022 was massive, but I held a primary prism that RdS himselfhad to be smart enough to know it was a suicide mission. However, events that unfolded in July and August of 2022, it became obvious that RdS was going all-in on a management program for a 2024 bid.

It was clear the โ€™24 race was the pretext for everything happening in/around the RdS orbit, including the5-days in the bunkerafter the Mar-a-Lago raid and the rebranding national image launch thereafter.

We all know the GOPe operational motive forremoving MAGAfrom the base of influence; it no longer needs to be repeated. Quite simply theAmerica-First agendaputs their money at stake, and collectively that amounts totrillions of dollarsin multinational globalist financial control. The scale of the money behind theMAGA oppositionis really the biggest challenge, it is almost unfathomable, and that scale is represented within the size of the war chest they assembled for RdS.

The top of this financial pyramid are anti nationalist policy of Donald Trump. Remember, ultimately despite the power dynamic, they are few โ€“the MAGA army is many. It is within these mid-tier donor groups we now see worry.

โ€œDeSantis is doing a book tour. Heโ€™s barnstorming the country, andhis polls are going down=,โ€ the strategist said. โ€œMeanwhile, Trumpโ€™s potentially under indictment, and Trumpโ€™s going up== Itโ€™s just not a good look for DeSantis.โ€

Add and saute the veggies until limp, then add the rice, diced tomatoes and like 6 spices and then the chicken stock and the sauteed meat and out put the lid on and cook.

As Ron DeSantis emerges as a prospective rival for the Republican nomination, Donaldโ€™s Trump campaign has put word out that anyone who works for the Florida governor will be blackballed.

 

According to sources with direct knowledge of the edict, Justin Caporale, who helps lead the advance team for the former president, has said that anyone who staffed a recent DeSantis book tour will be considered โ€œpersona non grata.โ€ A top Trump ally was more comprehensive, telling RealClearPolitics that the prohibition would apply to more than just the junior aides tasked with setting up folding chairs and hanging banners.

 

โ€œItโ€™s a time for choosing,โ€ the source close to the former president said. โ€œIf you work for Ron DeSantisโ€™ presidential race, you will not work for the Trump campaign or in the Trump White House.โ€

 

The threat comes as Trump enjoys a commanding lead in the 2024 GOP presidential primary field. A declared candidate unlike DeSantis, Trump remains the frontrunner and has built a double-digit advantage in early polling. He initially sounded ready to welcome the Florida governor to the primary race, telling reporters at CPAC last month the decision was โ€œup to him.โ€ And when asked about another challenger, his former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley who declared last month, Trump replied simply, โ€œthe more, the merrier.โ€

 

He apparently didnโ€™t mean that literally. Trump has soured on DeSantis. His recent attacks are sharper than the usual nicknames that serve almost as a rite of passage for any rivals. The Florida governor is still โ€œRon DeSanctimonious,โ€ but after an interview with Piers Morgan on Fox Nation, Trump responded by blasting DeSantis as โ€œan average governorโ€ and โ€œa disciple of Paul Ryan.โ€

 

And while a DeSantis announcement isnโ€™t expected until after Floridaโ€™s legislature wraps up its session later this spring, Trump is not waiting for the governor to make things official. Trump made that clear in a lengthy statement Wednesday night, writing that the potential rivalโ€™s โ€œpolls have crashedโ€ and DeSantis โ€œis finally admitting he is in the race by beginning to fight back.โ€

 

The split became personal when DeSantis broke his silence on Trumpโ€™s possible indictment, telling reporters he had โ€œno interestโ€ in inserting himself into โ€œsome type of manufactured circus by some Soros DA.โ€

 

Loyalty tests are nothing new for Trump. Numerous Republicans were disqualified for positions in his administration if it was discovered they had publicly criticized him during the 2016 campaign. Exceptions were possible, but only after apologies were tendered. His demands for fidelity reportedly caused headaches during the presidential transition.

As conservatives find themselves pulled between the old champion and a new challenger, some caution that blacklists are inherently counterproductive. โ€œIf Trump wins, heโ€™ll need to hire the very best people he can,โ€ said Mick Mulvaney, who served as the third chief of staff in the Trump White House and who previously endorsed Sen. Rand Paul for the Republican nomination. โ€œWhoever is advising him to exclude folks who support other Republicans in a primary doesnโ€™t have a clue as to how to run a government.โ€

 

Republicans will need to unite around whoever wins the nomination, a prominent conservative grassroots organizer added, warning that division this early makes unity later more difficult.

 

โ€œEven after the most effective Republican presidency, Trump is bringing back the loyalty test,โ€ the organizer said. โ€œNot loyalty to the country โ€“ but for a single candidate. Itโ€™s the American people who will ultimately decide who is the next president and many grassroots see through these desperate pleas for allegiance and instead wish there was a substantive debate about the future of our great country.โ€

 

Others in Trumpโ€™s orbit saw more bluster in the staffing proclamation. โ€œHe was very forgiving. He was willing to let all those people work for him,โ€ a former senior administration official said of vocal critics during the 2016 campaign who later closed ranks with the former president.

 

At the Republican National Convention that year, for instance, cameras caught Ken Cuccinelli throwing his credentials down in disgust when GOP brass thwarted his attempt to secure a rule vote that could have complicated Trumpโ€™s nomination. After an audience in the Oval Office, Trump tapped the former political opponent to lead Citizenship and Immigration Services.

 

The former official pointed to those kinds of hires to downplay any preemptive staffing prohibitions. โ€œI don't think, just knowing him, that itโ€™s a serious assertion,โ€ they said. โ€œThis is just being done now to try to kill the momentum that DeSantis has โ€“ this doesnโ€™t jive with his past behavior.โ€

 

If Trump follows through, however, it could complicate the work of two influential conservative organizations already preparing for a Republican presidential transition. The Heritage Foundation launched a transition project last summer to vet potential staff and hired Paul Dans, the former chief of staff of Trumpโ€™s Office of Personnel Management, to lead the project. The America First Policy Institute, a think tank led by Trump alum Brooke Rollins that also includes reformed Trump critics like former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, has also been working for more than a year to assemble an unofficial โ€œTrump White House in waiting.โ€

 

The demands of modern campaigning could eventually soften fealty requirements if Trump wins the Republican nomination and earns a rematch with President Biden. But sources close to the former president are adamant that one person has already flunked the loyalty test.

 

โ€œIt is very bad politics. This is a critical moment,โ€ a prominent Republican operative said of the DeSantis decision not to rally to Trumpโ€™s defense. โ€œI don't know of any Republican voter that feels okay about whatโ€™s happening with President Trump.โ€ The looming indictment, they added, was โ€œthe only thing that matters.โ€

 

A spokeswoman for DeSantis declined to comment.

Biden issues warning to Iran after drone strike injures military personnel, kills U.S. contractor

 

President Biden warned Iran that the U.S. will "act forcefully" to protect Americans after a drone strike in Syria killed a U.S. contractor and injured five U.S. service members Thursday.

 

"My heart and deepest condolences go out to the family of the American we lost, and we wish a speedy recovery for those who are wounded," the President said at a joint press conference in Canada alongside Prime Minister Trudeau.

 

Biden prefaced his remarks by explaining that he had ordered airstrikes targeting "those responsible" for attacking American personnel.

 

"And to make no mistake: The United States does not โ€” does not, I emphasize โ€” seek conflict with Iran, but be prepared for us to act forcefully to protect our people," Biden said in his remarks. Biden said the United States would continue efforts to counter terrorist threats in the region along with coalition members like Canada to defeat ISIS.

 

Simultaneous attacks were launched at U.S. forces in Syria late Friday, according to Voice of America News. Preliminary information suggested there was a rocket attack on the Conoco plant, where U.S. troops are stationed.

 

Another U.S. service member was wounded in Friday's fresh trio of attacks, CBS News reported, citing an unnamed U.S. official.

 

Thursday, a "one-way unmanned aerial vehicle" of "Iranian origin" struck a maintenance facility in northeast Syria, causing several American casualties. One American contractor was reportedly killed in the drone strike. At least five service members and an additional American contractor was injured.

 

"At the direction of President Biden, I authorized U.S. Central Command forces to conduct precision airstrikes tonight in eastern Syria against facilities used by groups affiliated with Iranโ€™s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)," Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III said in a statement Thursday.

 

"The airstrikes were conducted in response to todayโ€™s attack as well as a series of recent attacks against Coalition forces in Syria by groups affiliated with the IRGC."

 

Videos on social media show explosions in Syria's Deir el-Zour, "a strategic province that borders Iraq and contains oil fields," Politico reported.

Putin names country behind Nord Stream blasts

 

The Russian president believes Washington orchestrated the attack on the gas pipelines

 

US intelligence agencies were most likely behind last Septemberโ€™s sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Russia 24 TV on Saturday, adding that he agrees with the conclusions made by veteran American journalist Seymour Hersh.

 

It would be โ€œvery difficultโ€ to bring the entire truth to light, the Russian president admitted in comments to journalist Pavel Zarubin in the Kremlin. Nevertheless, Putin expressed his hope that at some point in time โ€œit will be finally revealed what was done and how.โ€

 

The Russian leader then cited Hersh, calling him โ€œan American journalist, who recently gained prominence in the world,โ€ and said that he โ€œconducted an investigation and โ€ฆ concluded that this blast was orchestrated by the US intelligence.โ€

 

โ€œI fully agree with these conclusions,โ€ Putin added. He did not elaborate on whether Russia has any evidence of its own to support this position.

President Donald Trumpโ€™s unhinged niece Mary Trump, who has made a late-in-life career attacking her uncle, hatched a scheme this week to sabotage attendance at President Trumpโ€™s 2024 campaign kickoff rally in Waco, Texas on Saturday at the Waco Regional Airport.

 

Mary Trump is the embittered daughter of Fred Trump Jr., who passed away in 1981. Mary has become a minor celebrity in recent years by publishing two books trashing her uncle.

 

Mary Trump called on her 1,600,000 followers on Twitter to register to attend the Waco rally and then not show up, thereby denying seats to real Trump supporters.

 

It was a brilliant scheme thought up by the holder of a Ph.D. in clinical psychologyโ€“except that the rally is being held outdoors. At an airport. On a huge tarmac.

 

Mary posted on Thursday, several days after the rally had already been announced and was taking ticket requests:

 

Donald has a rally in Waco this Saturday. Itโ€™s a ploy to remind his cult of the infamous Waco siege of 1993, where an anti-government cult battled the FBI. Scores of people died. He wants the same violent chaos to rescue him from justice.

 

But we can stop him. If we book the 50,000+ venue, we can make sure most of the seats are empty when the traitor takes the stage.

 

We can no longer fail to hold powerful men accountable for their crimes against our country.

Until 1993, the word Waco brought to mind a Texas city located along the Brazos River โ€” a popular setting for numerous fictional sagas about cattle ranchers and the Old West. Frequently, these tales included gun fights between those entrusted with upholding the law and outlaws of that era. But in 1993, a deadly 52-day conflict between the FBI and the Branch Davidians displaced this historical narrative. Waco became the location of the most intense gun battle in American law enforcement history.

 

Thirty years ago this month, federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms attempted to serve a lawfully obtained federal search and arrest warrant on David Koresh, leader of the Branch Davidian religious sect, at the group's compound in the small community of Mount Carmel, outside Waco. The ATF agents were met with an extraordinary barrage of gunfire. Four agents and several Branch Davidians were killed. The remaining occupants in the compound refused to exit. Since an assault on a federal agent falls under the purview of the FBI, the Bureau assumed jurisdiction. The Waco standoff began.

 

For 52 days, Koresh, a self-proclaimed messiah, and his followers rebuffed offers for a peaceful resolution. As the days wore on, Koresh prolonged the siege, debating with authorities about his interpretations of the Bible, specifically the Book of Revelations. Koresh declared that his authority came from God's word โ€” that he was above man's law and the authority of the U.S. government, and would only follow his own interpretations of the Bible. Koresh prophesied that the federal government's actions would result in Armageddon. The situation was given the FBI major case name WACMUR, an acronym for Waco Murders. It tested the FBI's abilities to respond to a large-scale crisis involving numerous heavily armed subjects inside a fortified compound and under the leadership of a religious zealot. Those barricaded inside had already demonstrated their willingness to kill federal agents. The FBI was tasked with bringing the crisis to an end, either by peaceful means or with force. In the end, peaceful means did not succeed. On April 19, 1993, as the FBI Hostage Rescue Team moved ahead with a plan to breach the compound, flames erupted in multiple locations.
