'We’re filing suit on behalf of all Americans who deserve to know how their money is being spent by this administration,' watchdog director tells Fox News Digital

 

EXCLUSIVE: A government watchdog group is filing a federal lawsuit against the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), arguing the agency has stonewalled records detailing Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's use of private government jets.

 

The group, Americans for Public Trust (APT), said it has repeatedly requested FAA records detailing how often Buttigieg has used the agency's small fleet of jets and the taxpayer costs associated with those flights. But, according to its lawsuit first seen by Fox News Digital, the FAA has improperly delayed producing the records on three separate information requests filed by APT.

 

"Pete Buttigieg abused taxpayer dollars by using a private jet to fly domestically and internationally," Caitlin Sutherland, APT's executive director, told Fox News Digital. "It’s been six months since we helped expose Secretary Buttigieg’s trips, but his agency refuses to tell the American people how much they’re on the hook for his extravagant travel arrangements."

 

"Buttigieg’s FAA has stonewalled and refused to adhere to the law for releasing public records, so we’re filing suit on behalf of all Americans who deserve to know how their money is being spent by this administration," she continued.

 

Under the Freedom of Information Act, federal agencies are required to provide requested records within 20 working days, or 30 working days if an extension is determined to be necessary. The requesting party is allowed to pursue legal action if a court determines it has exhausted its administrative remedies.

GOP senators demand Biden comply with COVID origins transparency law as deadline approaches

 

Biden signed the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023 into law in March

 

Two Republican senators are demanding President Biden comply with the COVID origins bill he signed into law earlier this year, which requires the declassification of all information pertaining to the links between a Chinese lab and the origin of COVID-19.

 

The Biden administration has yet to act on the requirements laid out in the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023 despite the deadline for the declassification – June 18 – quickly approaching.

 

"We write today to urge the swift and complete implementation of the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023, which Congress unanimously passed, and which you signed into law on March 20, 2023," Sens. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., and Mike Braun, R-Ind., wrote in a letter sent to Biden on Wednesday and shared with Fox News Digital.

Availability of the Barack Obama Presidential Records

Obama presidential records will become subject to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests on January 20, 2022 and NARA will make presidential records available under the same standards and practices under which NARA has always administered records in accordance with the Presidential Records Act (PRA).

The PRA allows the public to make FOIA requests beginning five years after a president leaves office; however, it allows the former president to claim six FOIA restrictions for up to 12 years.

 

Significantly, the PRA did not provide a procedure allowing former presidents to request continued restricted access. This flaw in the statute left it up to each president to interpret the law and to impose restrictions as he saw fit through the issuance of executive orders.

 

This situation led to abuses. For example, Bush attempted to broaden the authority of those able to make a privilege claim and potentially restrict public access indefinitely beyond the 12-year period in the law. In the past, requests by former presidents for additional time in which to review records had been routinely granted by the incumbent. The new law ended that practice. For the first time, former presidents and the incumbent president, after receiving notice from the National Archives of its intent to release a record, were subjected to specific time limitations in reviewing records for constitutionally based privilege against disclosure. The current president and former presidents now have an initial 60 days to review the records and are allowed one 30-day extension.

Obama’s presidency turned out to be a disappointment to many progressives, who were frustrated, by, among other things, his support for expanded international free trade deals after campaigning on renegotiating them, and his administration’s refusal to criminally prosecute major banks responsible for the 2008 crisis.

 

Since leaving office, Obama has largely stopped populist economic arguments altogether. He is apparently more interested in the issue of alleged “disinformation” disseminated on social media. That was the topic of Obama’s speech at Stanford University in April 2022, as well as the focus of the Obama Foundation’s inaugural Democracy Forum summit last November. Obama made no mention of the carried interest loophole, or any tax justice issues, during either public address.

 

The carried interest loophole has remained vexing for multiple administrations. On at least one occasion, former President Donald Trump railed against the loophole on the campaign trail. But he never invested significant energy in eliminating it, sparing it in his far-reaching tax cut legislation in 2017 – and creating a new path for high-income earners to avoid top income tax rates.

 

President Joe Biden similarly promised to end the special tax treatment but failed after fierce lobbying from the investment fund industry.

 

Last year, as congressional negotiators hashed out the final stages of the Inflation Reduction Act, the loophole’s closure appeared imminent.

 

But a last-minute lobbying blitz from the American Investment Council, which represents leading private equity and hedge funds, along with pressure from the real estate industry, convinced Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona an independent who identified as a Democrat at the time to kill the measure. In the end, Biden signed the legislation without any change to the carried interest tax rule.

Hunter Biden and his business partners with ties to Burisma attended a December 2015 holiday party hosted by the then-vice president Biden just a few days after he returned from his famous trip to Ukraine, where he threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid if the country’s leaders did not fire their top prosecutor, according to records reviewed by Fox News Digital.

 

As vice president, Biden traveled to Ukraine, where he famously put pressure on the country’s leaders to fire then-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder and former president of Burisma Holdings, where Hunter served as a board member from April 2014 to April 2019. Biden's defenders have said that Shokin was fired not because he was pursuing corruption too aggressively, but rather because he was too lax.

 

Biden visited Ukraine from Dec. 7-9, 2015. Three months after the visit, Shokin was fired, and Biden would later use it to boast about his foreign policy skills.

 

"I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money," Biden said in 2018, according to a transcript of his remarks at the Council on Foreign Relations. "Well, son of a b—-. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

 

After Biden returned to Washington from his short trip to Ukraine, he hosted a holiday party at the vice president's Naval observatory residence on Dec. 12, 2015, where Hunter and several of his business partners from his now-dissolved investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners were also in attendance, records show.

 

According to White House visitor logs, Hunter visited the White House on Dec. 12, 2015, with Rosemont Seneca co-founder Devon Archer, Rosemont Seneca President Eric Schwerin, and Sebastian Momtazi, an associate who worked in Rosemont Seneca’s New York City office with Archer. Archer, who was also on the Burisma board with Hunter, and Momtazi both had Burisma.com email addresses, according to emails reviewed by Fox News Digital.

 

While the visitor logs don’t specify the business partners were there for a vice presidential party, it did say they were there for "holiday reception." Hunter was scheduled to attend a "VP Holiday Party" at 3PM that day with Archer and several others, according to an email from his abandoned laptop, which has been verified by Fox News Digital.

The report stated that Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., wrote in a letter to Archer's attorney thathe "played a significant role in the Biden family's business deals abroad, including but not limited to China, Russia, and Ukraine."

 

Archer, who served with Hunter on Burisma's board, lost an appeal last week to have his unrelated 2018 conviction and one-year federal prison sentence for a scheme to defraud a Native American tribe thrown out.Hunter did not have a connection to the fraud scheme.

 

The White House, Schwerin and Hunter's lawyer did not respond to Fox Digital's requests for comment.

In a recent study, a team of researchers developed a handheld bioprinter that addresses key limitations of previous designs, i.e., the ability to print multiple materials and control the physicochemical properties of printed tissues. This device will pave the way for a wide variety of applications in regenerative medicine, drug development and testing, and custom orthotics and prosthetics.

 

he emergence of regenerative medicine has resulted in substantial improvements in the lives of patients worldwide through the replacement, repair, or regeneration of damaged tissues and organs. It is a promising solution to challenges such as the lack of organ donors or transplantation-associated risks. One of the major advancements in regenerative medicine is on-site (or "in situ") bioprinting, an extension of 3D printing technology, which is used to directly synthesize tissues and organs within the human body. It shows great potential in facilitating the repair and regeneration of defective tissues and organs.

 

Although significant progress has been made in this field, currently used in situ bioprinting technologies are not devoid of limitations. For instance, certain devices are only compatible with specific types of bioink, while others can only create small patches of tissue at a time. Moreover, their designs are usually complex, making them unaffordable and restricting their applications.

 

In a breakthrough study published in Biofabrication, a research team including Mr. Erik Pagan and Associate Professor Mohsen Akbari from the University of Victoria in Canada, developed a handheld in situ bioprinter with a convenient modular design, that allows the printing of complex biocompatible structures.

 

"Two decades ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which eventually led to the removal of her breast. This affected her well-being considerably. It made me realize that a technology like handheld bioprinting could not only help develop personalized implants for breast reconstruction that match the shape and size of the patient's tissue, but also be used to create tumor models for the study of breast cancer biology. Such applications could significantly improve treatment outcomes for affected patients," says Prof. Akbari while discussing his motivation underlying this study.

 

A key feature of the handheld device is the presence of multiple bioink cartridges, each independently controlled by a pneumatic system. Owing to this, the device operator has ample control over the printing mixture, making it easier to develop structures with the required properties. Moreover, the device has a cooling module and a light emitting diode photocuring module, which provide additional control.

 

This versatile in situ bioprinter has several applications. Prof. Akbari elaborates, "In situ bioprinting is suitable for repairing large defects caused by trauma, surgery, or cancer, which requires large-scale tissue constructs. In the long term, this technology can eliminate the need for organ donors, while also lowering the risks associated with transplantation, allowing patients to enjoy longer and healthier lives."

 

Another notable potential application of this device is the production of drug delivery systems. An operator could construct scaffolds or structures that release a precise quantity of drugs as well as cells at specific locations within the body. This would make drugs more efficient, minimize side effects associated with them, and improve their safety. The technology reported in this paper may also speed up the discovery of new drugs by allowing scientists to develop more accurate drug testing models.

 

What's more, it has the potential to develop custom prosthetics and orthopedic implants. Due to its portable nature, this bioprinter may help physicians match a patient's tissue anatomy with greater accuracy and convenience, thus enhancing the functionality and aesthetic of the bioprinted construct.

 

The findings of this study can significantly benefit researchers and physicians dedicated to improving the scope of regenerative medicine and enable collaborative research, which can accelerate further development of this technology.

Good grief, who needs Democrat firepower when you can always count on Republicans to shoot themselves to save their enemies. Twenty House Republicans joined with House Democrats to defeat a censure motion that would have triggered an investigation of the notoriously corrupt Adam Schiff (CA).

 

Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), who really does seem to be a great MAGA addition to the House, created a censure motion that she advanced on Tuesday. Luna’s measure would have formally reprimanded Schiff for his conduct while Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), where he lied about Trump-Russia intelligence.

 

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy blocked Schiff from the HPSCI this year and Luna’s measure would have established an ethics investigation that could have resulted in a $16,000,000 fine if they found he committed the infractions.

 

As ridiculous as this sounds, 20 House Republicans came quickly to Adam Schiff’s defense. Current “Republican” HPSCI Chairman Mike Turner (OH) was one of the GOP members who supported Schiff along with Republican Thomas Massie (KY) who recently endorsed Ron DeSantis.What a bunch of knuckleheads.

 

(WASHINGTON DC) – Republicans joined most Democrats in voting to table a measure to censure Rep. Adam Schiff for his previous leadership of the House Intelligence Committee and probes into former President Donald Trump.

 

The vote: The measure was tabled by a 225-196 vote, with 20 Republicans voting alongside most Democrats. Other Democratic lawmakers were lined up ready to defend the Californian on the floor, but Wednesday’s vote stops the effort from advancing to a full House vote.

 

Schiff’s response: “It’s a continuation of a downward spiral. There are a number of members here now who are just kind of ugly performance artists. It’s all about getting attention, doesn’t matter whether it’s good attention or bad attention, it’s all about the notoriety,” Schiff told reporters after the vote.

Even after ending his political affiliation with the Republican Party, L Brands CEO Les Wexner continues to donate to politicians across the country – and across party lines.

In September 2018, the longtime Republican donor made national headlines by announcing he had quit the party.Since then, Wexner has cut the level of his political contributions, according to data from the Federal Elections Commission.

But that doesn't mean he's stopped the flow of cash entirely.

An analysis of Wexner's $922,300 in state and federal giving over the past three years shows a sharp decline in overall contributions in the past year, along with a broadening of recipients to include more Democrats. A Wexner spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment on his donation history.

This dataset excludes contributions by Abigail Wexner, who primarily contributes to Democrats, but in smaller amounts.

Federal contributions

On the federal level, Les Wexner donated $16,200 over the course of 2019, according to FEC data, compared to $95,900 in 2018 and $557,700 in 2017.

Last year, $5,000 went to the Support to Ensure Victory Everywhere PAC – commonly called the STEVE PAC – a benefactor mostly to Republicans and whose recipients last year included Ohioans Troy Balderson, Steve Chabot, Mike Turner, Warren Davidson, Jim Renacci, Brad Wenstrup, Bill Johnston, David Joyce, Bob Gibbs and Anthony Gonzalez, according to an analysis from the Center For Responsive Politics. The group does support a small number of Democrats.

In September, Wexner contributed $2,800 to Sen. Rob Portman, an Ohio Republican.

The retail magnate also made donations to two Democratic lawmakers, including $2,800 to Columbus Democrat Rep. Joyce Beatty. In April, he gave $5,600 to the U.S. Senate campaign of Colorado State Sen. Mike Johnston, who went on to end his bid for U.S. Senate in September.

In 2018, Wexner’s contributions included $33,900 to the National Republican Congressional Committee, $33,900 to then House Speaker Paul Ryan and gifts to Portman, Balderson and Gonzalez, as well as the STEVE PAC.

He did donate $2,700 to Beatty in 2018, after his September decision to leave the Republican party. That was his first donation to a Democrat in five years.

Wexner also donated to the L Brands PAC and the New Albany PAC in 2018, both of which support Ohio House members from both parties.

In 2017, Wexner’s donations included $237,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee and $300,000 to With Honor, a “cross-partisan” group that backs veteran candidates.

Wexner’s 2016 political giving topped $440,000, including $250,000 to the presidential campaign of former Gov. John Kasich and big donations to Ryan, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Messier 15 is an immense swarm of over 100,000 stars. A 13 billion year old relic of the early formative years of our galaxy it's one of about 170 globular star clusters that still roam the halo of the Milky Way. Centered in this sharp reprocessed Hubble image, M15 lies some 35,000 light-years away toward the constellation Pegasus. Its diameter is about 200 light-years, but more than half its stars are packed into the central 10 light-years or so, making one of the densest concentrations of stars known. Hubble-based measurements of the increasing velocities of M15's central stars are evidence that a massive black hole resides at the center of the dense cluster. M15 is also known to harbour a planetary nebula. Called Pease 1 (aka PN Ps 1), it can be seen in this image as a small blue blob below and just right of center.

The marriage of U.S. Rep. Mike Turner, R-Dayton, and Lori Turner was dissolved on Wednesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Domestic Relations Judge Timothy D. Wood granted the March 29 petition for dissolution filed by Lori Turner, who is vice president of marketing for the Kettering Health Network. The Turners, married since 1987 and parents of two grown daughters, agreed in advance on division of property and assets, including three Cadillacs and a Toyota Prius.

Late last year Rep. Turner’s office issued a press release saying the two had separated and that he would be moving to a Performance Place condo in the Schuster Center in downtown Dayton. Rep. Turner, who was mayor of Dayton prior to being elected to Congress in 2002, rents the condo, Crosson said.

Poll: Support for Black Lives Matter Movement Lowest Since 2020

 

American support for the Black Lives Matter movement has reached its lowest point since 2020, according to a poll released Wednesday.

 

The Pew Research Center survey found about 51 percent of U.S. adults support the Black Lives Matter movement, a full six-point drop from last year when 56 percent supported it. Per The Hill:

 

Two-thirds of U.S. adults said they supported the movement following Floyd’s death in 2020, according to a Pew analysis of the 5,073-person survey.

 

Opinions on the movement vary by race, age and political leaning.

 

Black adults are the most likely to back the movement. According to the survey, 81 percent of Black adults in the U.S. support the Black Lives Matter movement, while 63 percent of Asian adults, 61 percent of Hispanic adults and 42 percent of white adults support it.

 

Younger adults were more likely to support the movement while white adults were more likely to find the movement “divisive” or “dangerous.”

 

Roughly 64 percent between the ages of 18 to 29 support the movement while just 52 percent of 30 to 49-year-olds support it. The number goes down to 46 percent among 50 to 64-year-olds and down to its lowest of 41 percent for seniors 65 and older.

 

Support for the movement also breaks down along party lines, with Democrats being more in favor of it.

 

As Breitbart News reported, Black Lives Matter “had an $8.5 million deficit, and its investment accounts lost nearly $10 million in value, according to 2022 tax records.”

 

“The non-profit has blown through 2 ⁄ 3 of $90 million raised since the summer of 2020 following the death of George Floyd,” said the report. “The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation’s (BLMGNF) most recent filing of Form 990 paints a grim picture of BLMGNF’s financial health, indicating a trajectory toward financial insolvency. In 2022, the charity logged a $961,000 loss on a security sale of $172,000.”

 

In May of last year, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors admitted to using the group’s $6 million property to host private parties after she had previously resigned from the organization amid scrutiny over her spending of charitable funds. As Breitbart News reported at the time:

 

One of those events took place in January 2021, where she apparently sought “refuge at the property amid threats on her life.” However, at that time, she chose to host an inauguration party celebrating the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, along with roughly 15 people, “including BLM Los Angeles chapter members and other prominent movement supporters,” according to the AP.

 

Two months later, Cullors threw her son a birthday party at the BLM property, but she told the outlet “she intended to pay a rental fee to the foundation.”

 

Tax documents filed with the IRS also showed that Cullors would spend lavish funds for her brother and child’s father to perform various services.

That will certainly be part of the debate,” Turner said. “But overwhelmingly, there is support for continuing aid to Ukraine, so that they can continue to fight against this aggression of Russia.”

The trip to the Ukrainian capital was the latest effort fromtop-ranking Republicans in the House, who are laying the groundwork for continued U.S. assistance but facing opposition in their own ranks. Emboldened by former President Donald Trump’s “America First” approach, many on the right are clamoring for the Ukraine aid to come to an end, creating the potential for a politically bruising fight when the current American assistance runs out.

For instance,Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a likely Trump rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, recently suggested that defending Ukraine in a “territorial dispute” with Russia..

With the war in Ukraine now entering its second year,Rep. Chris Stewart of Utahsaid the American people would continue supporting aid as long as U.S. resources were being used judiciously.

“This is going to take some time,” he said of the war. “That’s not surprising. Most conflicts such as this between nation-states take time to resolve themselves. I think the American people understand that, as long as they feel like progress is being made over being careful with the money and being thoughtful of how we involve U.S. resources.”

“Most of them have not done that except for a few of the smaller countries,” Stewart said. “The American people also look at this and go, ‘This is in Europe’s backyard. They should be at least as invested in this as we are.’ And I don’t know that we can assure them right now that that’s the case.”

Rep. Rich McCormick of Georgianoted that nations have rallied to Ukraine’s support.

“For the first time, maybe ever, countries were talking about putting pressure on each other and holding each other accountable inside of NATO,” said the congressman, who is a member of the House Armed Services Committee. “There is a new sort of urgency that never existed before, that I think you’re seeing Europe actually step up to the plate like they’ve never done before.”

The fourth member of the delegation to Kyiv, Rep. Darin LaHood of Illinois, another member of the intelligence committee, said the visit to Ukraine was aimed at observing the situation on the ground from “the illegal, unprovoked war that Putin engaged in here.”

Also in Kyivto underline the importance of support for Ukraine wasformer U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who joins a long list of potential Republican candidates for the presidential nomination.

“Why is it that the United States should expand its resources and its people’s resources to support the effort here that you all are engaged in? I think it is pretty straightforward,” Pompeo said Monday during an event organized by prominent Ukrainian businessman Victor Pinchuk. “If we have learned one singular thing” that is that “when bad guys begin to march, they do not stop marching.”

Asked about the dissenting voices in the United States,Pompeo said that “your president has asked for equipment. He hasn’t asked for our young men and women. So long as we stay in that place, I’m convinced that most American leaders will see it that way and will support the continued efforts.”

Pressure builds on Biden to send long-range weapons to Ukraine

U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are making a renewed push for the Biden administration to send Ukraine controversial long-range munitions, as Kyiv’s long-expected counteroffensive appears to get underway.

 

With a range of 190 miles, nearly four times that of Ukraine’s existing rockets, the Army Tactical Missile System has been the subject of intense debate for months. Nearly a year ago, national security adviser Jake Sullivan feared that sending ATACMS could make the conflict eventually spiral into World War III, because Ukraine could use the weapon to attack deep inside Russian territory. More recently, there are growing concerns inside the Pentagon that the U.S. doesn’t have many to spare anyway.

 

But in recent weeks, the administration’s opposition to sending the munitions is showing signs of weakening. President Joe Biden himself recently signaled he might be open to sending ATACMS. Asked whether Washington might agree to provide the missiles, the president said in late May that option is “still in play.” A White House spokesperson later said the administration’s policy has not changed.

 

Now, a group of House members led byRep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.)is turning up the pressure. In a letter to Biden on Thursday,nine Republican and Democraticlawmakers urged the president to quickly greenlight ATACMS.

 

“The war in Ukraine has become a conflict of grinding attrition. We can and must help break this stalemate. By swiftly providing the Ukrainian forces with these additional capabilities, we can significantly improve their chances of victory, restore peace to Europe, and ensure a more stable and prosperous world,” the lawmakers wrote.

 

Advocates of sending ATACMS say that because they are fired from High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems already sent to Ukraine, they don’t require extensive training and or logistical chains, and could be fielded immediately.

 

The letter alsocalls on the president to approve other advanced weaponry, including U.S.-made F-16 fighter jetsand additional air defense capabilities such as another Patriot missile defense system. It also urges him to expedite the transfer of U.S. M1 Abrams tanks, which are expected to arrive in Ukraine by the end of the year.

 

U.S. officials have become less concerned that sending more advanced weaponry might escalate the conflict, as Ukraine proved repeatedly that it would not use U.S. equipment to strike into Russian territory, Crow said in an interview. (Crow is an idiot to trust Ukraine, because the “lie & bribe” as policy)

 

The reluctance to send ATACMS now stems more from Pentagon fears that the U.S. has a limited number of missiles in its stockpiles, he acknowledged. But Crow’s counterargument is that it’s worth the short-term risk of sending ATACMS in order to help Ukraine win the war. The Pentagon’s long-term plan is to transition away from ATACMS to more advanced missiles in the pipeline anyway, he said.

 

“I think it’s an acceptable risk to transfer those out of our inventory, send them to Ukraine to help Ukraine fight this war while we transition to our next generation of long range fires,” Crow said. “My view is this is the war that the Ukrainians have to fight now with substantial national security implications for us and our allies.”

 

Kyiv itself is also making a new push for ATACMS. Ukrainian military officers toldHouse Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Mike McCaul(R-Texas)in a recent teleconference that they need the weapons to prosecute their counteroffensive against Russia’s invasion force and to cut off Russian access to Crimea, he said. McCaul did not sign the letter as it was open only to members of the For Country Caucus.

 

Enabling Kyiv’s battlefield successes would also buoy public opinion in the U.S. in favor of more Ukraine military aid money, when Biden asks Congress in the fall for a new supplemental, McCaul noted. (This warmonger is fucking crazy)

 

Republican and Democratic House members also urged Biden in a letter last month to send ATACMS to Ukraine, following their visit to Kyiv.The lawmakers — Reps. GLENN GREENWALD: In terms of this Russiagate narrative that really dominated our politics for five or six years, the two prongs of it were that the Trump campaign collaborated with the Kremlin to hack into the DNC emails and manipulate the outcome of the 20216 elections. And the subsidiary claim was that Trump was some kind of a puppet of Vladimir Putin or controlled by the Kremlin due to blackmail or other leverage. What is your view now of the veracity of those two claims?

 

ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR,: I think there was a period in which you're correct about that I just accepted the mainstream narrative. Part of that is just my own fault for not being skeptical about it. And part of it also may have been my natal bias against Donald Trump. I was like most Democrats, I was just happy to hear anything that confirmed my own notion of Donald Trump. The first time that I had any kind of inkling that that narrative may not be completely accurate was when I was having dinner with Oliver Stone, and Oliver Stone lives about a half a mile from where I live… and he had Cherryl and i for dinner one night with his sons Sean, who was a podcaster and political critic. And the two of them, I don't know how it came up, maybe one of us mentioned it, but he scoffed in a way that was very dismissive and had a sort of brief monologue about how there was nothing to that story.

 

And it seemed to me, of course, you're with Oliver Stone, so you think here's a guy who is embracing fringe theories anyway, and you just don't know. But it put the first seed of doubt into my head.

 

In 2020, when people started criticizing, including myself, the methodology that was being used to prove the Covid vaccines, I all of a sudden began seeing these propaganda tropes that were appearing all the time saying anybody who criticized vaccines is probably a Russian bot or a stooge of Putin. So then I thought, "Oh, OK, here's what they're doing." And it may be orchestrated.

 

I think at that point, I was open to hearing a different story, and then i started seeing the piles of evidence, but I still was neutral on it. In my mind, the jury was out on this stuff until I saw the recent disclosures, the Durham report, etc. That makes it look like the entire thing was fake, the entire thing was fabricated from whole cloth.

GREENWALD: When I look at the anti-Russia fervor that is driving the war in UKraine, a lot of it seems to have come from the anti-Russian sentiment that Democrats in particular were encouraged to feed on all these years as part of Russiagate. Going back to 2016, when they blamed Russia instead of the Democratic Party or Hillary Clinton for her defeat. I'm wondering if that is something that concerns you, that so many Americans are being taught to view the Russians kind of the way we looked at them in the Cold War, as this grave existential threat to the United States, and in part, this is driving the bellicose mindset towards Moscow?

Now I see in some way the Ukraine War, I see a lot of the Russian propaganda tropes that we were being force-fed through the mainstream media, and always sourced to an "unnamed U.S. intelligence agency," which is always suspect. The Bidens ‘Coerced’ Burisma To Pay $10 Million In Bribes, Says Credible FBI Source

Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky wasn’t far from the mark when he said it would take 10 years to unravel the complex payment path that led to Joe Biden.

 

The Bidens allegedly “coerced” a foreign national to pay them $10 million in bribes, according to individuals familiar with the investigation into the FBI’s handling of the FD-1023 confidential human source report. What, if anything, agents did to investigate these explosive claims remains unknown, however, with sources telling The Federalist the FBI continues to stonewall.

 

On Monday, Sen. Chuck Grassley revealed a foreign national — identified by individuals with knowledge of the matter as Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky — allegedly possessed 17 recordings implicating the Bidens in a pay-to-play scandal. While 15 of the audio recordings consisted of phone calls between Zlochevsky and Hunter Biden, two were of calls the Ukrainian had with then-Vice President Joe Biden, according to the FD-1023.

 

The Federalist has now learned the FD-1023 reported the CHS saying the Bidens “coerced” Zlochevsky to pay the bribes. Sources familiar with the investigation also explained the context of Zlochevsky’s statements, and that context further bolsters the CHS’s reporting.

 

In the FD-1023 from June 30, 2020, the confidential human source summarized earlier meetings he had with Zlochevsky. According to the CHS, in the 2015-2016 timeframe, the CHS, who was providing advice to Zlochevsky, told the Burisma owner to stay away from the Bidens. Then, after Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential contest, the CHS asked Zlochevsky if he was upset Trump won.

 

Zlochevsky allegedly told the CHS he was dismayed by Trump’s victory, fearing an investigation would reveal his payments to the Biden family, which included a $5 million payment to Hunter Biden and a $5 million payment to Joe Biden. According to the CHS, the Burisma executive bemoaned the situation, claiming the Bidens had “coerced” him into paying the bribes.

 

The CHS responded that he hoped Zlochevsky had taken precautions to protect himself. Zlochevsky then allegedly detailed the steps he had taken to avoid detection, stressing he had never paid the “Big Guy” directly and that it would take some 10 years to unravel the various money trails. It was only then that Zlochevsky mentioned the audio recordings he had made of the conversations he had with Hunter and Joe Biden, according to the CHS.

 

The broader context of this conversation adds to the plausibility of Zlochevsky’s claims that he possessed recordings implicating the Bidens. And we already know from Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer that the FBI considered the CHS, who relayed Zlochevsky’s claims to the FBI, a “highly credible” source.

Further, according to individuals familiar with the investigation, the FBI admitted the CHS’s intel was unrelated to the information Rudy Giuliani had provided the Western District of Pennsylvania’s U.S. attorney’s office — the office then-Attorney General William Barr had tasked with reviewing any new information related to Ukraine.

 

Sources told The Federalist that investigators out of the Pittsburgh office, in addition to reviewing Giuliani’s information, searched internal FBI databases and came across an earlier FD-1023 related to the CHS. That earlier FD-1023 then led to agents questioning the CHS on June 30, 2020, uncovering the details concerning Burisma’s alleged bribery of the Bidens.

 

What the FBI did to investigate the allegations is unknown, with sources telling The Federalist the bureau refused to either confirm or deny that the DOJ under Barr sent the FD-1023 to Delaware for further investigation. On the contrary, the FBI allowed Rep. Jamie Raskin, ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, to falsely represent to Americans that Barr and Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney Scott Brady had closed the investigation. Raskin’s deceit, tolerated by the FBI, forced Barr to publicly correct the record.

 

The FBI is also refusing to provide any information on what, if any, steps it took to investigate the detailed claims contained in the FD-1023. But sources familiar with investigative procedures maintain there was insufficient time between the June 30, 2020, interview of the CHS and the FBI headquarters’ closing of an assessment related to the FD-1023 in August 2020 to properly probe the matter. “They couldn’t have done much,” one source said.

 

There is also no independent confirmation from Delaware indicating any investigative steps were taken regarding the FD-1023. Agents in Delaware “could have sat on it,” according to one individual familiar with the investigation.

 

While the FBI’s efforts to unwind the pay-to-play scheme seem to have been nonexistent, banking records released in May by the House Oversight Committee show congressional investigators are unraveling the complex web behind the Biden family business. Those records provide concrete evidence of a pattern of public corruption involving foreign nationals, with Joe Biden at the helm. There are still more banking records to review, along with the many details recently discovered when the whistleblower came forward with the FD-1023.

 

Apparently, Zlochevsky wasn’t far from the mark when he said it would take 10 years to unravel the complex payment path that led to Joe Biden.

Indict Walt Nauta? Why Not the Biggest Liars First?

Walt Nauta is a 10-year-Navy veteran and served as an aide to former President Trump both in and out of office.

 

Special Counsel Jack Smith has now indicted him for allegedly “making false statements in interviews with the FBI.” The indictment’s subtext is that Nauta refused to cooperate with, and turn state’s evidence to, the special counsel in its efforts to convict the former president.

 

But why stop the indictments with a man who loyally served and followed the orders of the former president of the United States, was a Navy veteran, and a hard-working immigrant from Guam?

 

Are there not far bigger fish to fry to remind Americans that justice is blind?

 

After all, when Special Counsel Smith announced his indictments of Trump, he lectured America on the rule of law and the cherished notion that no one is above it.

 

So let us start with the former interim director of the FBI itself, Andrew McCabe.

 

McCabe admittedly lied four times about his illegally leaking sensitive information to witnesses and mishandling classified information.

 

Have those crimes suddenly ceased being felonies?

 

Or is it now the policy of the United States government that an FBI director can lie with impunity, and leak, and mishandle sensitive classified information?

 

Yet Walt Nauta may be sent to prison while McCabe will continue to earn a fine salary at CNN as a paid “expert” to deplore . . . what exactly?

 

What McCabe knows best from his own experience with the deed—the “mishandling of classified information”?

Nauta reportedly is being indicted for claiming he “did not know” what he supposedly did know in relation to the movement of the president’s papers.

 

His denial was proffered with nearly the exact phraseology that another FBI director, James Comey, used under oath when he stonewalled congressional inquisitors on 245 occasions.

 

Was the FBI director ever indicted for feigning ignorance or amnesia before Congress?

 

Did Nauta ever record a private, and likely classified, conservation he had with the president of the United States in the White House, and then leak it to the New York Times?

 

That is precisely what James “Higher Loyalty” Comey bragged about doing.

 

Most recently, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm admitted that she, too, recently lied while under oath to Congress when she denied owning private stocks.

 

Was Nauta’s “I don’t know” a greater threat to the rule of law and the security of the republic than the lies of the secretary of Energy? She deliberately misled Congress about potential conflicts of interest involving her stock portfolio.

 

Then we come to Joe Biden, the current president of the United States. He has sworn that he never discussed business with his son, Hunter Biden, currently under suspicion for tax improprieties and leveraging foreign governments by selling them supposed Biden influence.

 

Yet plenty of witnesses have contradicted Joe Biden’s statement. Photos even reveal him side-by-side with his son’s business associates.

 

For nearly 20 years, Senator, Vice President, private citizen, and President Joe Biden has concealed the fact he unlawfully took classified documents home and moved them about in various unsecured locations.

 

Was Mr. Biden’s movement of classified documents for the last 20 years less egregious than what Nauta is accused of having done?

 

Was the Biden Corvette garage more secure than the closets and bathrooms inside the Mar-a-Lago gated estate?

 

Biden’s lawyers, after nearly two decades, only came forward because of the media hype surrounding the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in search of classified documents.

 

Is there some law that states that a senator, vice president, and president can improperly remove classified documents, move them about to various unsecured locations, and avoid the sort of felony indictments now facing Nauta and Trump?

Let us end with the greatest exemptions of all—those accorded to Hillary Clinton.

 

She has variously committed the following likely major felonies.

Five, she conspired to disseminate false documents among top government intelligence and investigatory agencies as well as the media, for the sole purpose of destroying her presidential opponent Donald Trump and thereby warping the 2016 election process.

 

And?

 

Clinton—like self-confessed liars or dissimulators John Brennan, former CIA Director, James Clapper, former Director of National Intelligence, and former FBI Directors James Comey and Andrew McCabe—was exempted from all legal jeopardy. She, too, continues to monetize her past notorieties and controversies.

 

The last thing this country needs is any more bottled-piety lectures on the rule of law from Special Counsel Jack Smith, Joe Biden, and the array of admitted lying former high government officials.

 

They, not Walt Nauta, should be ashamed.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: I don't know exactly but I think they feel if they are correct, then they get a pass on every type of behavior. And that behavior leads to the destruction of institutions and that's not necessarily a bad thing because they feel America was flawed in its origin.

 

Here in California, we are facing $32 billion in debt. Why would a commission on reparations say we're going to give $800 billion dollars why not a trillion? to African-Americans when we were a free state. That was 8 generations ago. Then when confronted with the realities, the commission said we're willing to take it in installments.

 

I was just reading about the tragic death on the subway and I thought, wow, this guy looks like a career criminal that was killed. I thought maybe he had arrests of 5 or 7. How does somebody in the criminal justice system have an arrest record of 40 arrests including violent assault, and lewd conduct? And then his uncle weighed in. And I thought, wow, he's weighing in support of his deceased nephew, maybe he has a criminal record. He's been arrested 70 times. What kind of criminal justice system, I guess just ideologically, just excuses felony behavior 70 times?

 

We look at the border. I thought, wow, it might be porous. We might, under the Biden administration, have 200,000 illegal entries. But they just blew it up. It doesn't exist. We can't even imagine 6.5 million illegal entries. Greater Los Angeles has probably the largest city in North America for people of Mexican-American or Central-American or Hispanic heritage. The majority are Catholic. Most are still observant. Baseball and soccer are the national pastimes in Spanish-speaking communities. Why would the Los Angeles Dodgers, who depend on this constituency at a time when audiences for professional sports are in decline – why would they invite the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence when their stock and create is performance art, blasphemy, simulated sex, pornography attacks on the trinity of the Catholic faith.

 

What makes them do that? Are they hiring people out of MVA programs that are woke or don't care?

 

The general theme of all of these instances is that certain people feel they can take it to the ultimate level to insult traditional America and there are no consequences whether Target or Disney or Bud Light. You talked about the FBI. I thought maybe an FBI Director would fib once but how did Andrew McCabe lie 4 times? 3 times under oath. Or James Clapper lied about the NSA under oath and just laughed it off as the least untruthful answer. Or John Brennan lied twice under oath. The CIA Director. James Comey and I thought when he's in there and Devin Nunes and people are interviewing him he might claim amnesia 10 times. But 245 times?

I cracked Godfather III last night, Dayshift Anons.

Kiev intends to kill as many Russians as possible – top Zelensky aide

Mikhail Podoliak says Ukraine’s only plan is to launch a brutal offensive to reach its 1991 borders

 

Ukraine currently has only one plan, which is a campaign to kill the maximum number of Russians, Mikhail Podoliak, an advisor to the chief of President Vladimir Zelensky’s office, said on the air during a telemarathon on Thursday.

 

“There isonly one plan: the most brutal advance with the maximum killing of Russians on this route,” he said, noting that Kiev “can’t just stop somewhere and say ‘alright, let's think and talk about something now.’“ (They better get at it then, because Ukraine is losing soldiers 10x as many as Russians)

 

“The only possible scenario for Ukraine is to reach its 1991 borders,” he said. (Kek, Ukraine will be destroyed before that ever happens)

 

Back in May, Podoliak also proclaimed that his country hates Russia and those who represent it andvowed to “persecute” Russians “always and everywhere.” That followed comments by Kirill Budanov, the head of Ukraine's military intelligence agency, who boasted that his agents had murdered Russian public figures and pledged that Kiev will “keep killing Russians anywhere on the face of this world.”

 

Earlier this week, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov revealed that Kiev had been instructed by its Western backers in the early days of the conflict to “kill as many Russians”as it could before surrendering.

 

“We asked, ‘can we have stingers?’” Reznikov told Foreign Policy magazine in an interview published on Tuesday. “We were told, ‘No, dig trenches and kill as many Russians as you can before it’s over.’”

 

The minister boasted that since then Ukraine’s forces have received a large number of Western weapons and heavy arms and stated thatKiev will also soon be equipped with F-16 fighter jets.

 

The West has continued to provide billions of dollars worth of military aid to Kiev, with the stated intention of helping Ukrainian forces score as many battlefield successes as possible before the conflict is eventually settled at the negotiating table.

 

Last month, however, US Senator Lindsey Graham hinted at Washington’s true intentions in continuing to fuel the conflict. During a meeting with Zelensky in Kiev, Graham expressed glee at the fact that “the Russians are dying” and said later in the meeting that the billions of dollars that the US has poured into Ukraine was “the best money we’ve ever spent.”

‘Extraordinarily’ Well Preserved 3,000-Year-Old Sword Unearthed in Germany

Archaeologists have hailed the discovery of an “extraordinary” bronze sword found at a burial site in Bavaria, the weapon incredibly well preserved by the fine soil of the area.

 

A sword of the 14th century B.C. “Middle Bronze Age” — making the weapon over 3,000 years old — has been unearthed in a state of “extraordinary” preservation. According to a statement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Protection who investigated the “very rare” find, the two-and-a-half-foot-long sword does not have signs of use but appears to have been made for practical rather than ceremonial purposes and is balanced fore-heavy to suggest it was meant for a slashing type of attack.

 

According to the body, the octagonal form of the sword’s hilt is typical to historical southern Germany, where it was found. Such swords are also found in the north, but it is claimed these were either imports from “wandering craftsmen” who carried their art with them, or copies of the design made locally. Swords were of an advanced type, as noted by the Monuments office: “The production of octagonal swords is complex because the handle is cast over the blade (so-called overlay casting). The decoration is made with an inlay and using hallmarks.”

 

Other goods were found in the grave containing a man, a woman, and a child, and an image of the sword still embedded in the mud clearly shows other items including two bronze arrowheads with prominent backwards-facing barbs, designed to make pulling the arrow from flesh difficult and destructive.

 

The items are in such a good state — the state office says the sword “is so exceptionally well preserved that it almost still shines” — because of the local soil, reports Augsburger Allgemeine. Because the soil has an extremely fine sediment, the sword was tightly packed underground thereby excluding oxygen from reacting with the metal, similar to how objects of extraordinary antiquity can be found well preserved in ancient bogs.

 

A bog find was declared in the United Kingdom last week, when a man laying foundations on his land discovered what is believed to be the oldest-yet-found piece of carved wood in Britain ever. The panel is believed to be over 6,000 years old.

I've been able to COMPLETELY tune out the fake news from the corrupted MSM with the help of podcasts from patriots.

 

Two Great Awakening-related podcasts I listen to regularly are X22 and And We Know. Love the work of both L.T. and Dave. As we know, both of those guys produce a ton of content on pretty much a daily basis, and that's a lot of work. It almost seems like more work than someone could possibly put out on their own. I always wonder if Dave has someone on the inside of "the plan" feeding him information. Sure seems like that would have to be the case, simply because it seems like putting out that much excellent content on a daily basis seems like would be next to impossible.

 

Curious what other anons think, do you guys/gals think Dave from X22 has insiders feeding him info to relate to us, or do you think he puts all that content out on his own?

In an unprecedented move, the unification of three notorious hacktivist groups, KillNet, Anonymous Sudan, and REvil, declared a cyber war on European banks.

(1) Interplay between the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act

 

A lot of my friends have spoken insightfully about the scope of the Presidential Records Act. I’d direct you to Mike Davis’s (

) commentary on the subject, and also Michael Bekesha of

’s piece yesterday in the

@WSJ

about the Clinton Sock Drawer Case.

 

Basically, their argument distills down to the idea that the President’s authority to retain Personal Records, as well as his rights to access his Presidential Records, make it impossible to prosecute him under the Espionage Act section at issue here, § 793(e), because the government cannot prove “unauthorized possession,” as required under the statute.

 

I want to make a different point relating to the intent elements in § 793(e) of the Espionage Act, the statute Trump is being charged under.

 

Section 793(e) requires the government to prove that the Defendant KNEW he had National Defense Information (NDI) in his possession, and also that the Defendant KNEW that there was a government official entitled to receive the Information, and also that the Defendant then WILLFULLY failed to deliver it to that official.

 

This is a very high set of mens rea bars to jump, in any circumstance. Proving a Defendant’s intent and knowledge can often be tough. But it’s even tougher here.

 

The Presidential Records Act sets up a system where the president designates all records that he creates either as Presidential or Personal Records. 44 U.S.C. § 2203(b). A former president is supposed to turn over his Presidential Records to NARA, and he has the right to keep his Personal Records.

 

Based on the documents I’ve read and his actions that I’ve read about, I believe that Trump viewed his “boxes” as his Personal Records under the PRA. There are statements he made, quoted in the Indictment, that support that view. If Trump considered the contents of these boxes to be of purely personal interest, hence his designation of them as Personal Records, did he knowingly retain NDI?

 

Did he really think these documents, like years old briefing notes and random maps, jumbled together with his letters, news clippings, scribbled notes, and random miscellaneous items, “could be used to the injury of the United States”? Or did he just think of them as mementos of his time in office, his Personal Records of the four years, akin to a journal or diary?

 

If he thought these boxes were his Personal Records, he may have believed that NARA simply had no right to receive them at all. Meaning that he did not willfully withhold anything from an official he knew had the right to receive them. Because he didn’t believe that anyone had the right to receive them.

 

By breathlessly bandying around classification levels and markings, the Special Counsel is trying to make this case seem much, much simpler than it is. Classification levels do not automatically make something NDI, and having classified documents in your possession is not enough to convict here.

 

This is not a matter of

[Classified Documents]+[Mar a Lago bathroom]=Conviction.

 

That’s what they want you to think, and that’s the media’s inch deep view, typically, but it’s dead wrong.

 

More than anything, this case hinges on the ability of the Special Counsel to prove beyond a reasonable doubt aspects of Trump’s state of mind that will be extremely difficult to prove in this case because of his obligations and rights under the Presidential Records Act. In addition to all of the usual issues.
