AWAKE - The Advanced (Proton Driven Plasma) Wakefield Acceleration Experiment - begins its second run with an upgraded plasma source

 

The experiment sends proton beams from the Super Proton Synchrotron through plasma cells to generate so-called wakefields, which accelerate a second beam – the “witness” electron beam. Its new rubidium vapour plasma allows stronger wakefields to be obtained.

Confidence in US military at two-decade low – poll

 

Support for the armed forces has plummeted since President Joe Biden took office

 

Fewer Americans are confident in their military than at any point since 1997, according to a Gallup poll published on Monday. With trust in the armed forces dropping ten points in the last two years, the services are currently grappling with a historic recruitment crisis.

 

Conducted in June, the poll found 60% of respondents expressing “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the military, down from 64% last year. Public confidence in the military last dipped to 60% in 1997, and has not been lower since 1988, when it sat at 58%.

 

Public support for the US services soared following the 9/11 attacks in 2001, with the armed forces enjoying 82% approval when President George W. Bush invaded Iraq in 2003. While the surge of post-9/11 patriotism receded as the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan dragged on, approval sat in the mid-70s until 2020, when it began to steadily decline year after year.

 

Republicans are traditionally more likely to back the military than Democrats, however their confidence has plummeted from 91% in 2020 to 68% today.

 

Republican politicians and pundits have been some of the Pentagon’s fiercest critics since Biden took office in 2021, and have lambasted the military for its vaccine mandates and its embrace of ‘woke’ politics – exemplified by its provision of ‘sex reassignment’ surgery to transgender troops, its teaching of ‘critical race theory,’ and its efforts to scrap gendered language in the barracks.

 

Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021 – which saw 13 US troops killed in a suicide bombing and tens of billions of dollars worth of US equipment fall into Taliban hands – also earned scathing condemnation from both sides of the political spectrum.

 

With public support falling, the armed forces are struggling to fill their ranks. Leaders from the army, navy, and air force told a Congressional hearing in March that they all expect to fall short of their recruitment targets this year, after the army experienced its worst year for recruitment last year since the abolition of the draft in 1973.

 

Of the17-24-year-olds typically targetedby military recruiters,80% are physically unfit for service due to obesity, drug use, or poor mental health, according to a Pentagon study published in March. Furthermore, only 9% of this age group are interested in joining in the first place, Army Secretary Christine Wormuth told CNBC News in October.

The investment firm Flannery Associates has bought around $800 million worth of land around Travis Air Force Base in northern California’s Solano County

 

Flannery Associates filed a lawsuit in May against a group of landowners, accusing the farmers of conspiring to inflate the value of the property — drawing further scrutiny from policymakers including Rep. John Garamendi (D-Calif.).

Flannery Associates LLC, an agricultural land buyer, is seeking more than $510 million in damages against defendants that include Barnes Family Ranch Associates LLC and Kirby Hill Associates LLC over the sale of properties in the Jepson Prairie and Montezuma Hills area of Solano County, California, between San Francisco and Sacramento. ( claiming they conspired to inflate the price of real estate by hundreds of millions of dollars and overcharged the company in violation of U.S. antitrust law.)

 

"If the conspirators had acted independently, they could have each individually negotiated a sale with Flannery and made tens of millions of dollars in profits," Flannery's attorneys said in the complaint. "But the conspirators wanted to make hundreds of millions."

 

In the lawsuit, Flannery said land it has acquired is used for interstate commerce. The company said various energy and power entities had contracts or proposals to operate on Flannery-owned land in the region.

 

The lawsuit alleged "the price-fixing conspiracy has resulted in the suppression and elimination of competition, leading to artificially high prices and fewer transactions."

 

The case is Flannery Associates LLC v. Barnes Family Ranch Associates LLC et al, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, No. 2:23-cv-00927-TLN-AC.

‘Mystery company’ buys $1B worth of land near US Air Force base

Flannery Associates, a limited liability company that is registered in Delaware, has purchased around 52,000 acres of mostly farmland near Travis Air Force Base in Solano County, which lies about 60 miles northeast of San Francisco.

 

The firm, which in five years has become the largest landowner in the county, is now the subject of an inquiry by the federal government, according to The Wall Street Journal.

 

The buying spree by Flannery has led the Agriculture Department to request information on the company’s ownership structure, according to the Journal.

 

lawyer for Flannery told the Journal the company is controlled by US nationals and that 97% of its invested capital is from American investors while the rest is from British and Irish sources.

 

Last month, company sent a formal response letter to the Agriculture Department, which was provided to The Post by Flannery lawyer Richard Melnyk.

 

“No foreign person…or group of foreign persons holds any significant interest or substantial control…over Flannery, either now or at the time of any land purchase made by Flannery,” according to the letter, dated June 21.

 

The Air Force’s Foreign Investment Risk Review Office, which has been investigating the purchases by Flannery for months, has not been able to determine who is behind the company, according to the Journal.

 

Flannery once told Solano County officials that the firm “is owned by a group of families looking to diversify their portfolio from equities into real assets, including agricultural land in the western United States.”

 

Lawmakers, however, are demanding answers.

 

“We don’t know who Flannery is, and their extensive purchases do not make sense to anybody in the area,” said Rep. John Garamendi, (D-Caifl.) the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee’s readiness panel.

 

“The fact that they’re buying land purposefully right up to the fence at Travis raises significant questions.”

 

Flannery is not required to disclose its owners because it is an LLC that was registered in Delaware.

 

Melnyk refused further requests for comment by The Post.

Before bringing any felony charges against former President Trump, prosecutors must first seek an indictment from a grand jury.

 

Recent signals suggest the indictment vote could be imminent.

 

Federal grand juries consist of between 16 to 23 people and meet behind closed doors. At least 16 jurors must be present for a quorum, and at least 12 must vote in favor of the indictment for it to be returned.

 

The grand jurors — all D.C. residents, in this case — are asked to vote on whether there is probable cause to believe the individual in question committed a crime. It’s a much lower standard than prosecutors would need to prove at trial: proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

 

The charges prosecutors would seek remain unclear. After the vote, the indictment would under normal procedure be given to the duty magistrate judge in D.C.’s federal courthouse.

 

On Tuesday, Judge Moxila Upadhyaya is scheduled as the duty magistrate. A separate judge would oversee the trial.

Building on the momentum from last year’s Pride Month event and other Pride events throughout the intelligence community, DIA hosted its second annual Pride Month event June 18 at its headquarters in Washington, D.C.

 

Kristin Beck, the first openly transgender retired Navy SEAL, was the keynote speaker, and the event featured a panel of military officials at DIA who addressed current issues facing the LGBT community and addressed policies affecting the community in the DOD.

 

DIA Director Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s opening remarks stressed the importance of maximizing the potential of every employee at DIA.

 

“I want everybody to come in every day to be their best,” Flynn said. “I don’t want people to be worrying about who they are or that somebody might say something negative. We can’t live like that.”

 

Fostering an inclusive and accepting environment that is comfortable and proud of its diversity has been one of the core principles for Flynn during his time at DIA. He concluded his remarks simply, but firmly: “Be proud of who you are.”

 

Kristin Beck delivered a poignant keynote address, imploring attendees to stop defining an individual simply by what they see on the outside, and accept and respect who that individual truly is on the inside.

 

“We are all, all of us created equal, and we all deserve equal justice,” she said.

 

Beck shared her experience in the military as someone who was unable to communicate their true identity and the pain that such a secret can cause.

 

Born Christopher Beck, Kristin led a distinguished career serving with Special Operations Forces as part of SEAL Team One, SEAL Team Five, SEAL Team Six, and SOCOM Headquarters. She also had a decorated career, and was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, amongst other awards before retiring in 2011. In 2013, Beck came out as transgender and has since been a staunch advocate of LGBT equality in the military, as well as equality in American society more broadly. She frequently speaks at government-related events, LGBT conferences, as well as other events nationwide.

 

“The world is looking at us,” Beck explained. “You can change the wallpaper, but I’m still right here. I can still do the job I was doing in uniform.”

 

Events such as this one allow for a constructive and educational forum that can enable employees and those in leadership positions to understand the diversity of the workforce and work to enhance policies to ensure that every individual is treated equally and enjoys an inclusive and accepting work environment.

A bombshell new audio recording confirms that Joe Biden repeatedly and aggressively sexually assaulted his prepubescent daughter Ashley when she was a very young girl.

Project Veritas has just released information and audio about how they came by the Ashley Biden diary. In the video below, they include the audio call from one of the people who found Ashley’s diary, and she details how she came by them. She also warns, “The diary is pretty crazy.”

But perhaps the most shocking thing in the video is that it includes a conversation Project Veritas has with Ashley Biden, who confirms that the items are hers and tries to arrange with Project Veritas to get the incriminating material about her father back.

The PV person asks her about the diary; she repeats her request that they give everything to Eric. The PV guy says he just wants to make sure that he’s turning it over to the right person. Then Ashley says that she doesn’t want to “have to get Secret Service involved in this” because it’s a “whole process.” But she said, “I am Ashley Biden; it is my stuff.” She confirms that the bag that was found was also hers as well. She tries to arrange for a meeting to turn over the material.

Now this was happening in October 2020. PV then sent a letter to Biden’s presidential campaign asking for comment but didn’t publish the diary. Meanwhile, the Biden campaign allegedly notified the DOJ about the situation, and they immediately opened a case, according to PV. PV then turned over the items to law enforcement.

But that wasn’t the end of it, as Project Veritas and James O’Keefe found out. Project Veritas journalists were raided by the FBI in November 2021 (after Joe Biden came to power). They seized a boatload of electronic devices — 47 — including laptops, cellphones, and thumb drives. They said no one was arrested or charged with any crime. They also note that the NY Times’ Michael Schmidt contacted them immediately after the raids. Hmm, who told him about the raids? PV accused the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York of “spying” on their journalists even before the raid.

A judge ordered the DOJ to stop the extraction of material from the phones of James O’Keefe and other people who were connected with Project Veritas at the time.

As we reported, two people who originally found the diary and the other material pled guilty to federal charges about it. As we noted, there were allegedly entries about inappropriate showers in the diary.

In September 2015, Hunter Biden art patron Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali sent Hillary Clinton $2,700, the maximum amount she could give the presidential candidate for the upcoming primary election. Just days later, an unusual source stepped forward with more Clinton money: Naftali's 17-year-old daughter.

Naftali's daughter—who was in high school at the time—also sent Clinton $2,700, federal disclosures reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show. The contribution came just 10 days after Naftali was legally barred from giving Clinton more primary campaign cash. In the years that followed, Naftali's son continued the practice, sending thousands of dollars to California congressman Mike Levin and presidential candidate Kamala Harris after Naftali contributed the legal maximum to both Democrats. Naftali's son gave Levin $1,000 at age 16 and Harris $2,000 at age 17.

The contributions show just how far Naftali and her family have gone to curry favor with liberal politicians. Naftali's daughter—a self-described "data engineer photographer surfer hiphop dancer big d democrat yogi"—landed a spot on Clinton's National Finance Committee as an 18-year-old, less than one year after she sent Clinton thousands of dollars. She went on to work as a "technology consultant" for the Democratic National Committee as a college student.

But the political benefits that come with megadonor status haven't just gone to Naftali's daughter. President Joe Biden appointed Naftali herself to his Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad in July 2022, nine months after his scandal-plagued son held his first art show. While the White House said Hunter Biden's art patrons would remain anonymous, Business Insider on Monday identified Naftali as a patron of the first son's work, a revelation that prompted ethics concerns. Hunter Biden has used his artwork to earn at least $1.3 million as he faces legal battles over his failure to pay federal income taxes.

Federal law allows minors to donate to political campaigns, though they must do so "knowingly and voluntarily" with their own money. Naftali's children are the beneficiaries of a trust set up by their grandparents, court records obtained by the Free Beacon show, and money they receive from the trust is considered their own income under federal law. Still, Naftali could not direct her children to use money from the trust to contribute to liberal politicians—that decision would have to come from the children themselves.

If Naftali directed or paid her children to make the contributions after she no longer could, she would likely be guilty of running a straw donation scheme. Federal prosecutors have uncovered such schemes in recent months.

"Their parents can't say, 'If you donate, we'll give you your money later, or we'll give you a really big Christmas gift,'" said Kendra Arnold, executive director of campaign finance watchdog Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust. "The facts in this case line up to indicate that could have happened here."

The Naftali family did not return a request for comment.

Beyond the underage contributions, Naftali's children have in many cases followed their mother's political donation habits. Three Naftali children in 2020, for example, sent maximum contributions to the Biden campaign after their mother gave the campaign more than $5,000. The children have also contributed to more obscure Democrats, including New York's Antonio Delgado, Iowa's Abby Finkenauer, and California's Asif Mahmood. All of those contributions came after Naftali herself could no longer contribute to the campaigns.

Naftali has funneled millions of dollars to Democrats since 2004. Her children have contributed more than $146,000 to 46 Democratic politicians and committees since 2012, federal disclosures show.

Hunter Biden held his first art show in New York City in November 2021. Just one month later, Naftali met with White House policy adviser Richard Figueroa, the Free Beacon reported. Naftali went on to visit the White House at least 12 more times—in one case, she landed a private meeting with senior White House adviser Neera Tanden, visitor logs show.

The White House pledged to install "reasonable safeguards" around Hunter Biden's art show. In addition to Naftali, however, the first son is reportedly aware of at least one other buyer: Los Angeles attorney Kevin Morris, who loaned Hunter Biden millions of dollars to pay off back taxes.

A six-year-old girl who died after her leg was severed by the propeller of a boat that her mother was driving has been described as a 'wonderful blessing'.

 

Little Sunni Wasden died after the 'tragic incident' on Lake Pleasant, in Arizona, on Friday.

Police confirmed that her mother, Camille, 32, was not believed to be 'impaired' at the time of the incident and the family were 'experienced boaters'.

 

Blake Wasden posted a video to social media of the family wakeboarding and swimming from their new 2024 Ri230 Centurion boat worth $175,000 on his Instagram on July 3 – less than a month before the accident.

 

Camille, a post anesthesia care nurse at Honor Health, was driving the boat near Paul's Hideaway, when Sunni suffered the fatal injury.

 

Cops confirmed the couple, who have three children, were on the water with another family.

 

In total, there were 12 people on board the boat, including six children, and they had been swimming and wakeboarding prior to the collision.

 

Authorities said Camille and the other adults were all unaware that her daughter was still in the water.

 

Law enforcement said that they had been on the water since 7am, and the incident was reported at 11am.

 

The mother-of-three began to accelerate to pull another member of the family who was wakeboarding, and the schoolgirl was run over by the boat.

 

Blake was in the water holding onto a wakeboard when he noticed someone in the water and swam to his child.

White Hats on Sunday arrested a U.S. Army major and a command sergeant major who had pledged allegiance to Joseph Biden and were instructing subordinates on how to wage urban warfare against law-abiding citizens, a source in General Eric M. Smith’s office told Real Raw News.

 

The disgraces to the uniform were Major David Dunbar and CSM Nema Mobarakzadeh, the 10th Mountain Division’s staff officer and senior non-commissioned officer, respectively, at Fort Drum.

 

Our source did not detail the actual arrests but said they took place off post, after dark, on July 27.

 

A JAG affidavit reviewed by Real Raw News states that Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh recruited 250 10th Mountain Division soldiers into a “private army” whose mission was to suppress civil insurrection if Joseph Biden lost the 2024 presidential election, and details their nefarious plan to storm Trump supporters’ homes and seize their weapons at gunpoint. According to the affidavit, Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh recruited volunteers and conducted urban warfare drills behind Garrison Commander Col. Matthew R. Myer’s back.

 

Our source said White Hats presently have no evidence incriminating Myer. Nor does he know whether JAG will issue indictments on the 250 soldiers that participated in house-to-house search and seizure drills.

 

Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh, he added, enlisted only soldiers who said the 2020 election was equitable and legitimate, that Donald J. Trump caused January 6 and deserves imprisonment, and that the Biden administration is the lawful governing body of the United States. The soldiers also pledged allegiance to Joseph Biden instead of “…to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands…”

 

Somehow, Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh had financed a property rental, a 20-acre tract of cleared land about 15 miles west of Drum, on which they erected a “plywood town” to simulate attacks on American citizens. The soldiers were tutored on breaching doors, setting explosives, and killing Trump supporters. Their extracurricular training also included lessons on “where to shoot a Trump supporter for maximum effect,” our source said.

 

“They were told people who support Trump have tactical gear like body armor and to take headshots not center mass. They did live-fire exercises on mock targets,” he said.

 

Interestingly, the soldiers did not use military-issued weapons; they used personal weapons and ammunition bought from various firearms dealers in upstate New York, and improvised explosives such as Molotov Cocktails and nail bombs.

 

“The training revolved around a singular hatred for President Trump,” our source said.

 

After Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh were arrested, White Hats demolished the plywood town and found brass—military slang for an ejected cartridge—scattered about the area.

 

We asked our source how Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh planned to wage war with only 250 troops in heavily Right-leaning upstate New York.

 

“That’s the million-dollar question. There may be more; these sects may be forming at other installations. Right now, we know about the 250.”

 

The 250, he added, included all enlisted ranks from privates to a first sergeant.

 

In closing, we again asked our source why White Hats hadn’t arrested everyone involved since their actions were treasonous and violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the U.S. Constitution.

 

“Look, there is an investigation. I can tell you we have to rule out psychological manipulation or chemical coercion. That’s all I can say right now.”

 

Before publishing this article, Real Raw News solicited comments from Fort Drum and the Watertown City Police Department. A Drum’s Public Affairs Office spokesperson said Dunbar and Mobarakzadeh were on “emergency leave,” and a Watertown sheriff’s deputy said the PD had no info on an off-post training facility.

We Need a Limited Military Draft

 

It's time to change how our country fills the ranks of our military.

 

Since 1775, our nation has used a combination of volunteers and draftees to meet our national defense personnel needs, especially in times of crisis.

 

Today, the military needs only about 160,000 youth from an eligible population of 30 million to meet its recruitment needs. But after two decades of war both of which ended unsuccessfully and low unemployment, many experts believe the all-volunteer force has reached a breaking point. And American confidence in its military is at a low.

 

The fastest and most effective way to resolve this recruiting crisis is to change how we recruit.

 

Instead of an "either an all-volunteer force or a fully conscripted force" model, I propose a both-and solution.

 

We should have our military recruiters sign up new troops for 11 months out of the year, and then have the Selective Service draft the delta between the military's needs and the total number recruited.

 

This model would alleviate the incredible pressure on our recruiters, lower the cost of finding new troops, and significantly reduce the much decried civilian-military gap by subjecting all of America's youth rich and poor to the possibility of military service via the draft.

 

This increased public interest might also have the added effect of increasing public pressure to prevent open-ended wars led by unaccountable senior leaders like we experienced in our national debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

While the causes of our current recruiting crisis are many, the fastest and best solution lies within our already existing Selective Service System.

 

This would obviously represent a seismic change, given the more recent history of military drafts.

 

In 1973, the draft was abolished with the establishment of the all-volunteer force, driven largely by the American public's weariness with our debacle in Vietnam; systemic inequities in the draft (e.g. wealthier Americans being able to defer service); and the fact that the size of our population had become so large in relation to the needs of the military, universal drafting became obsolete.

 

While the all-volunteer force had the effect of lowering discipline problems and professionalizing the force, it also created a vast gap between American citizens and those who serve – effectively creating a military warrior caste that now appears more like a multi-generational family business than an organization that represents the true makeup of our democratic republic.

 

The establishment of the all-volunteer force also drove the military to expend an incredible amount of resources in terms of manpower and dollars to build a recruiting machine to attract America's youth to service. Considering it costs about $15,000 to recruit each new member, the overall cost each year exceeds $2 billion.

 

And recruitment has risen and fallen with the national unemployment rate.

 

The causes of this crisis are many, and both politicians and our national leadership are largely to blame.

 

For nearly a decade now, feckless politicians, using the military as a club to batter their opponents, have exacerbated increasing negative public opinion despite the fact that our military has crushed international terrorism and prevented another large-scale attack on our homeland for 22 years and running.

 

Despite this success, in 2023, every service except the Marine Corps is poised to miss its recruiting goals. In 2022, the Army alone fell short by 15,000 recruits.

 

The needs of the nation must be met, and our national leadership would be wise to reinforce the idea that military service is an important responsibility of citizenship.

 

While conscription has always been a controversial issue throughout our history, a hybrid model would alleviate our current military manpower crisis, increase the connectivity between the American public and its military, and more responsibly use taxpayer dollars.

 

Holes in our military formations are, in fact, gaps in our national security.

Gov’t Admits Millions of Unemployed People Were Not Counted in Latest Job Stats

 

When the June jobs report came out, President Joe Biden crowed that it was “Bidenomics in action.”

 

But behind the happy talk of the White House statement, buried in the depths of a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, is the revelation that more than five million Americans who are not working were not counted in the unemployment rate, which stands at 3.6 percent.

 

“The number of persons not in the labor force who currently want a job was 5.4 million in June, little changed from the prior month,” the report said.

 

“These individuals were not counted as unemployed because they were not actively looking for work during the four weeks preceding the survey or were unavailable to take a job.”

 

Unemployment for purposes of the unemployment rate requires an individual to have made “specific active efforts to find employment.” The means, for example, being involved in some government-linked activity to find work.

 

The report noted that 1.1 million people are counted as long-term unemployed, meaning that have been out of work for 27 weeks or more. The long-term unemployed amount to 18.5 percent of the overall population of unemployed people.

 

The report noted that many Americans are stuck in part-time jobs.

 

“The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons increased by 452,000 to 4.2 million in June, partially reflecting an increase in the number of persons whose hours were cut due to slack work or business conditions. Persons employed part time for economic reasons are individuals who would have preferred full-time employment but were working part time because their hours had been reduced or they were unable to find full-time jobs,” the report said.

 

The report noted that the labor force participation rate was 62.6 percent. As documented by the Federal Reserve, that remains shy of Trump-era levels before the pandemic.

 

The report noted that while some Americans struggle, the government sector grows.

 

Government jobs rose by 60,000 in June, having added an average of 63,000 jobs per month this year, after adding 23,000 jobs a month in 2022.

China's Volt Typhoon APT Burrows Deeper Into US Critical Infrastructure

 

US officials are concerned that the Beijing-directed cyberattacks could be a precursor to military disruption and broader destructive attacks on citizens and businesses.

 

The US military was reckoning with two major cyber concerns over the weekend — one the widespread and still unresolved Chinese campaign known as Volt Typhoon targeting military bases, and the other an insider breach affecting Air Force and FBI communications.

 

Biden administration officials have confirmed that Volt Typhoon's malware is much more endemic than previously thought; responders have found it planted inside numerous networks controlling the communications, power, and water feeding US military bases at home and abroad, according to The New York Times.

 

Also concerning, those same networks also touch run of the mill businesses and individuals as well — and investigators are having a hard time assessing the full footprint of the infestation.

 

Meanwhile, a search warrant obtained by Forbes revealed that the Pentagon is dealing with a wholly separate cyber intrusion — in this case, a communications compromise affecting 17 Air Force facilities, and possibly the FBI as well, courtesy of an Air Force engineer.

 

Chinese Malware a 'Ticking Time Bomb' Inside Critical US Networks

The Chinese state-aligned advanced persistent threat (APT) behind Volt Typhoon, aka "Vanguard Panda," came to attention after Microsoft observed Chinese cyber activity in Guam, the site of a US military base strategically significant to the defense of Taiwan against Chinese aggression. Microsoft posited at the time "that this Volt Typhoon campaign is pursuing development of capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia region during future crises."

 

That case, disclosed in May, has turned out to be just one small part of a much broader campaign, and the aim towards being in place to carry out destruction now seems increasingly likely as a motivation; sources told the Times that the attackers are in a position to handicap military response and supply chains for materiel should a kinetic conflict kick off.

 

"More than a dozen US officials and industry experts said in interviews over the past two months that the Chinese effort goes far beyond telecommunications systems and predated the May report by at least a year," the New York Times reported July 29, with one congressman pithily labeling the campaign "a ticking time bomb."

 

Further, the Times reported that "There is a debate inside the administration over whether the goal of the operation is primarily aimed at disrupting the military, or at civilian life more broadly in the event of a conflict."

Austin Berglas, a former FBI Cyber Division special agent, now global head of professional services at BlueVoyant, isn't surprised that China is buried inside of the US's most critical networks.

 

"We've known that China is looking to exploit any sector it could to give them an advantage politically, socially, or economically. So it's not surprising," he says. "What is surprising is the mention of destructive malware. That's not normally seen in their typical toolkit."

 

"When you look at traditional tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by Chinese state actors, they're doing espionage," he explains. Malware designed to disrupt or destroy critical systems changes the story. "Is it positioning them for a retaliatory strike? Is it something that we're going to start seeing more of in the future from these guys?"

 

An Insider Attack Takes Flight at the Air Force

Also on July 29, Forbes revealed that the Pentagon ordered a raid on a 48-year-old engineer from the Arnold Air Force base in Tullahoma, Tenn.

 

According to the relevant search warrant, the engineer had taken $90,000 worth of radio equipment home, gaining unauthorized access to radio communications technologies employed by Air Education and Training Command (AETC), a wing of the Air Force responsible for recruitment and training.

 

In the raid, investigators found an open computer running a Motorola radio programming software "which contained the entire Arnold Air Force Base (AAFB) communications system," the warrant stated, plus evidence of access to privileged communications from the FBI and other Tennessee state agencies.

 

Berglas says that the impact on the other agencies is not surprising. He likens it to his time in the FBI. "If I was sitting at my desk at work, I couldn't put a USB drive into my computer. I couldn't put a disc in to make a copy, or take that media off of the network any other way, aside from printing," he explains.

 

"The problem is, as an FBI office, you rely heavily on state and local partners. So you need to give them classified access to certain levels of information, depending on the investigation. But when that information gets to that office, those task forces and contractors probably don't have the same level of cyber safeguards in place," he explains.

 

It's a lesson for any organization: Even those that practice such stringent zero trust as the FBI and Air Force still face the same insider threats, and the same supply chain risks, as any other organization.

 

"When you're looking at securing classified information," he concludes, "you have to enable those individual and agency partners to comply. It's about giving resources to the weakest link in the chain, and supporting them to be more secure."

“The Slovak foreign minister did not oppose the proposal,” Menczer continued, then posing the question “If there will be no war in the next four years, why should there be financing for arms supplies?”

 

“The Hungarian position is unchanged: We want an immediate ceasefire and peace,” Menczer concluded.

 

Who knows how much more the U.S. will send to Ukraine in that time.

 

This comes as Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky commented last week that “As long as the war continues, nothing can be enough,” despite Ukraine having received an estimated €165 billion ($185.6 billion) from Western nations, including the U.S.

New Jersey Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver, the first black woman to serve as speaker of the state assembly, died Tuesday after being hospitalized with an undisclosed illness.

 

Oliver, 71, was serving as acting governor this week while Gov. Phil Murphy was vacationing in Italy.

FBI Investigates Spying Tool, Discovers FBI Use.

 

An inquiry by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) into a government contractor using Israeli spy software to monitor U.S. citizens has discovered it was doing so on behalf of the FBI itself.

 

Reporters discovered that Landmark spy software developed by Israel’s NSO Group, blacklisted by the Joe Biden government as a national security threat in 2021, had been purchased and deployed by government contractor Riva Networks later the same year.

 

It now transpires that one of Riva Networks’ clients was the FBI.

 

Like the White House, the FBI claims it had no clue the contractor was using Landmark to geolocate U.S. citizens in Mexico without their consent, and Director Christopher Wray has cancelled the contract. Yet reporters seeking more information about the secretive nature of the bureau’s dealings with Riva Networks are now being stonewalled.

 

Government lawyers responding to efforts by The New York Times to sue to the FBI for “documents related to the bureau’s purchase of NSO tools and… documents about the bureau’s relationship with Riva Networks” have told the courts the FBI’s relationship with the contractor should be protected from scrutiny, because they “either already do, or may in the future, offer other products… used for investigative purposes.”

In his role as Counselor, Brechbuhl was chartered with offering strategic guidance on foreign policy, enhancing U.S. diplomacy and conducting "special diplomatic assignments as directed by the Secretary".[5] Brechbuhl's initial focus was to accelerate hiring to fill the many unfilled positions in the department. He was delegated "sweeping control over the nomination process, drawing up lists of candidates for jobs and purging those" likely to face too much opposition from the White House or Senate.[13] One of Brechbuhl's initiatives was to shepherd the creation of an "ethos" statement [14] that would help unify an understaffed department with morale issues. Brechbuhl explained the value of the ethos statement: "The ultimate value, we believe, is the team will be far more cohesive. The left hand will understand the right hand.”[15]

 

In October 2019 Brechbuhl led a U.S. delegation to Greenland and Denmark that included officials from the United States National Security Council and the Pentagon with the purpose of discussing “areas of current and future cooperation”. Denmark's minister of foreign affairs, Jeppe Kofod, participated. State Department officials did note whether the trip would address President Donald Trump's earlier interest in the U.S. buying Greenland and the response of Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen that the idea was "absurd." The U.S. has a longstanding defense agreement with Denmark giving the U.S. almost unlimited rights in Greenland at Thule Air Base, the US Armed Forces' northernmost installation.[16]

 

On March 3, 2020, Brechbuhl took on the role of acting Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, as designated by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.[17]

 

Brechbuhl has been involved in a controversy regarding mistreatment of State Department employees that was ultimately investigated by Office of the Inspector General of the Department of State. Under federal human resources regulations, career employees at the State Department must be evaluated and managed on the basis of merit. Discrimination based on ethnicity, religion or perceived political beliefs is prohibited. (Political appointees, however, may be selected for their views regarding administration policy.) When an employee who had been inaccurately attacked in a conservative news outlet, her manager, political appointee Brian Hook, refused to help her clear up the inaccurate information and instead removed her from her role. The OIG noted that Brian Hook had sent an email to himself commenting on various career employees with labels such as “leaker,” “troublemaker,” and “turncoat.” While Brechbuhl disputed the report's findings related to the employee's mistreatment, stating that Hook acted appropriately in creating his own team, the OIG concluded that the career employee had been unfairly targeted by Trump administration appointees, and recommended that the State Department should discipline staff members and officials who violated non-discrimination policies. In response, Brechbuhl noted that there is now a department requirement for all political appointees to receive instruction related to required personnel policies and practices. In the meantime, a separate department, United States Office of Special Counsel, with jurisdiction over personnel matters throughout the executive branch, is undertaking its own review of the situation in question.[18]

77 Years Ago Today, WWII Vets Took Up Arms Against Corrupt Cops and Ran Them Out of Town

 

On the 77th anniversary of the Battle of Athens, one tiny Tennessee town's story proves something can, indeed, be done to fight political corruption.

 

In the summer of 1946, war-weary GIs began to return from World War II battlefronts in Europe and Japan, ready to resume life in their sleepy Tennessee town. What they found, instead, infuriated them to the core. A power-hungry Democrat and his associates had since usurped local government and law enforcement, and had imposed a maniacal chokehold on the McMinn County town through extortive fines, excess laws, and arrests of anyone who opposed them.

 

While the soldiers were away fighting power-hungry foreign enemies in 1936, Paul Cantrell, a Democrat from a wealthy and prominent family, used that influence to win the position of sheriff. Though many Athens citizens strongly suspected Cantrell hadn’t been elected through entirely legal means, there appeared to be no way to challenge the results.

 

As the years passed, Cantrell and his deputies took full advantage of Tennessee law which gave the unscrupulous men a fee for each person arrested, jailed, and released. According to some accounts, the lawmen even pulled over buses that happened to pass through town, summarily arrested everyone on board for drunkenness — whether or not they actually were — in order to profit handily from their misfortune. But such arrests and fines required paperwork — which meant traceable money — and to some degree hindered the men’s ability to rake in cash.

 

“It was less troublesome to collect kickbacks for allowing roadhouses to operate openly,” American Heritage explained. “Cooperative owners would point out influential patrons. They were not bothered, but the rest were subject to shakedowns. Prostitution, liquor, and gambling grew so prevalent that it became common knowledge in Tennessee that Athens was ‘wide open.’”

 

Because Cantrell and his cronies faced only limited opposition, they thwarted subsequent elections by transporting ballot boxes from every precinct to the McMinn County Jail to be counted behind closed doors. Neutral elections observers became the ‘enemy’ and were frequently forcefully ejected from polling sites, if not arrested.

 

With nearly 10 percent of the town’s population fighting overseas, the beleaguered citizens didn’t feel there was much they could do to fight the nefarious political machine.

 

Cantrell eventually moved on to become a state senator, leaving Pat Mansfield to become his successor as sheriff — exactly as they had planned — but by the time soldiers were arriving home, Cantrell intended to resume his position as McMinn County Sheriff.

 

By 1946, most GIs had returned home to find the liberties and freedoms they assumed they’d fought for quashed by the succession of zealous sheriffs and their deputies, who made a racket of roughing up and arresting the former soldiers. But their profiteering scheme wasn’t exactly well-received.

After Ukraine's newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky was unable to convince President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence to attend his inauguration, Zelensky attended a June 4, 2019 dinner hosted by the United States Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland. They were joined by White House Advisor Jared Kushner and Ulrich Brechbuhl.[19][20]

 

Brechbuhl was identified in a 2019 whistleblower complaint as someone who listened in on Trump's July 25, 2019, phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.[21][22] A "former White House official said it was extremely unusual for a State Department official to be on what was supposed to be a standard congratulatory call from the president to another world leader".[23] Subsequently, a representative of the State Department denied that Brechbuhl was on the call.[24]

 

On October 2, 2019, Steve Linick, the State Department's inspector general, delivered a 40-page packet of apparent disinformation regarding former Vice President Joe Biden and former Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, to Capitol Hill. Linick told congressional aides his office questioned Brechbuhl about the origins of the packet. Brechbuhl noted the packet came to him from Pompeo, who said it "came over," and Brechbuhl reportedly presumed it was from the White House. Later that day, President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, said he passed the packet regarding Ukraine and attacks on Yovanovitch to Pompeo. "They (the State Department) told me they would investigate it," Giuliani added.[25] Also, according to the inspector general, George P. Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state responsible for Ukraine, became alarmed about a campaign of disinformation being waged about Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, and alerted three state department officials, including Brechbuhl, described as a "a close confidant of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo."[26] Philip Reeker, acting Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, also alerted Brechbuhl to the unfounded smear campaign surrounding Marie Yovanovitch. In an email to Ulrich Brechbuhl, Reeker described the smear as a "fake narrative" that was "really … without merit or validation" and on other occasions forwarded to Brechbuhl information State Department officials gathered to counter the allegations. President Donald Trump nevertheless removed her prematurely from her post and referred to her as "bad news" in a conversation with the Ukrainian president.[27]

 

In his public testimony on November 20, 2019 Gordon Sondland noted in his opening statement that United States Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, then U.S. Ambassador to NATO Kurt Volker and Sondland himself stayed in touch with Rudy Giuliani regarding the President expectation that a public statement should be made by President Zelensky committing Ukraine to look into corruption issues, and that Giuliani "specifically mentioned the 2016 election (including the DNC server) and Burisma as two topics of importance to the President." Sondland stated that they kept the leadership of the NSC and State Department informed about their activities, including Pompeo and Brechbuhl. Sondland noted that in July Bill Taylor kept Brechbuhl updated on Giuliani's problematic involvement and that nevertheless, as late as September 24, Pompeo was still telling Volker to talk with Giuliani.[28]

 

Brechbuhl is one of several State Department employees connected to American policy work in Ukraine who have been scheduled to appear before congressional investigators.[29][30][31] House impeachment investigators issued a subpoena to Brechbuhl to testify on November 6, 2019, but[32] Brechbuhl defied the subpoena and travelled to Germany with Mike Pompeo instead.[33] [34]

VIDEO: Cops in Spain Arrest Mexican Los Zetas’ European Cartel Boss

 

Authorities in Spain announced the arrest of a 54-year-old Moroccan man who they claim was the leader in Europe of the fearsome Mexican cartel known as Los Zetas. The arrest comes soon after U.S. authorities revealed that the Sinaloa Cartel and Cartel Jalisco New Generation had close to 44,000 members in 100 countries around the globe.

 

The arrest took place this week in Madrid, when authorities arrested five drug traffickers and seized close to 1,000 kilograms of cocaine and €200,000. The head of the criminal organization has been identified as a man named Said, 54, who was described as very elusive and difficult to track. According to authorities, Said was based in Madrid but expanded the presence of Los Zetas to other parts of Spain.

 

Spain’s National Police carried out the arrest, along with U.S. Homeland Security and Colombia’s National Police. Spanish authorities released a short video of the actual arrest.

 

The information released by Spanish authorities does not show any participation by Mexican authorities in the arrest of the Los Zetas leader, even though that criminal organization is based in Mexico.

 

The arrest of a top Los Zetas operator in Spain comes just days after the head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Anne Milgram, testified before Congress that the Sinaloa Cartel and Cartel Jalisco New Generation had close to 44,000 members and associates in 100 countries. As Breitbart Texas reported, Last week Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador criticized Milgram’s comments demanding that she provide proof. Lopez Obrador has been internationally criticized for his refusal to fight drug cartels, claiming that violence is not the answer.

FBI Asks Judge to Block the Release of Secret Jeffrey Epstein Files; Feds Claim It Would Mess Up the Jury Pool in 'Possible' Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

 

In a sign the Department of Justice expects it will be forced to go head-to-head with Maxwell in a courtroom for a second time, they have asked a New York judge to agree to the “categorical withholding” of the FBI’s top-secret files on her sex predator pal, Jeffrey Epstein, Knewz.com has exclusively learned.

 

The website RadarOnline.com sued the FBI in 2017 and demanded they reveal their entire case against Epstein, the former friend of Presidents Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and other famous identities, who died in his Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10 that year.

 

Ever since, the FBI and the Department of Justice have been relentlessly fighting to keep the majority of the documents from RadarOnline.com and out of the public.

 

In their latest filing in the near six-year lawsuit, Maurene Comey, the lead prosecutor against Maxwell, admitted the FBI is sitting on unreleased information that could impact a jury appeal in any appeal from Maxwell.

 

Comey — the daughter of former FBI director James Comey — admitted the Epstein files include exhibits that were not publicly filed at the first trial, specific information about witnesses who may testify at a new trial, as well as “information and documents” authored by potential trial witnesses.

 

The files include topics and witness statements that “go far beyond the issues covered during the first trial,” Comey said in a July 11 declaration to the United States District Court Southern District of New York.

 

“The first trial focused primarily on the abuse of six victims, and many exhibits were received under seal to protect the privacy of those victims and other third parties,” she added.

 

“The withheld records include statements from and evidence regarding many more victims of Epstein and numerous witnesses who were not called or referenced during the first trial, including some who the Government may elect to call and/or reference if this case were to be retried."

 

“Accordingly, premature release of the records would risk unduly influencing potential jurors for a retrial.”

 

Maxwell, 61, appealed her conviction after a jury found she joined and enabled the sexual abuse that Epstein committed on scores of teenagers and young women for more than a decade.

 

She has claimed she was prosecuted as a “proxy” for Epstein to “satisfy public outrage” over the case in the aftermath of his death in a Manhattan jail.

 

The former British socialite is serving a 20-year jail term at a federal facility in Tallahassee.

Pilot CBDC Shows Central Bank Has Total Control

 

“Conspiracy Theorists” Were Right Again!

 

The pilot project of Brazil’s Central Bank Digital Currency the Real Digital allows the freezing of user wallets and reducing balances, as was always highly suspected by “conspiracy theorists!”

 

The Real Digital

 

The president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, presented Brazil’s digital agenda back in November 2022 where a preview of the Real Digital app was presented. According to Campos “The Real Digital, the central bank digital currency (CBDC) in Brazil, appears to tokenize the banking system” he explained that the “CBDC is nothing more than a token issued by the bank upon deposit” (source).

 

However, it is clearly more than that as revealed in a report by Journalist Vini Barbosa on the website Portal do Bitcoin.

 

The Public Audit

 

On Monday the 3rd of July the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) published information on their Central Bank Digital Currency Pilot scheme which offered public participation in its audit. As a result, developers found that the digital currency allows the freezing and manipulation of users’ wallets.

 

According to Barbosa, following the publication of the documentation about the Brazilian CBDC pilot project on GitHub, the Central Bank of Brazil also allowed the start of a public audit of the system’s source code.

 

Developers

 

As we would expect, the audit attracted attention and feedback from a number of developers who went on to analyse the code leading to the discovery of a few unknown code functions (Commands). These functions essentially allow the controllers to make several relevant changes in the data of the CBDCs ledger, directly affecting its users.

Reverse Engineering

 

One full-stack developer Pedro Magalhães who specialises in Blockchain and DeFI, and the programming language Solidity, announced on LinkedIn that he had “discovered Solidity’s Source Code of the CBDC through the ABI (interface) of Real Digital using reverse engineering”.

 

Magalhães wrote “Recently, I delved into the world of ABIs (interfaces) of Real Digital, a Central Bank’s initiative, with the intention of exploring possible vulnerabilities for purely didactic purposes.”

 

In a conversation with Portal do Bitcoin, Magalhães explained “Reverse engineering is a technique to understand how a system works just by observing its behaviour” and that an Application Binary Interface (ABI) is “basically a way to interact with smart contracts on Ethereum.

Mar-A-Lago Property Manager Released On $100,000 Bond Amid Classified Documents Case With Trump, Arraignment Delayed

 

 

Mar-a-Lago property manager Carlos De Oliveira, who is involved in the classified documents case with former President Trump, was released on a $100,000 bond.

 

However, his arraignment has not yet taken place.

 

De Oliveira appeared in court on Monday at the James L. King Federal Courthouse in Miami. Federal prosecutors recently accused him of instructing another unnamed Trump employee to delete security footage at the Palm Beach property.

 

Last week, De Oliveira was added to the indictment alongside Trump and the ex-president's valet, Walt Nauta. He is facing charges including conspiracy to obstruct justice and lying to investigators.

 

During his court appearance, a magistrate judge in Miami's federal court read the charges against De Oliveira. The judge also ordered him to surrender his passport and sign an agreement to pay $100,000 if he fails to appear in court. De Oliveira's arraignment is scheduled for August 10 in Fort Pierce.

 

These developments in the classified documents case come as Trump awaits possible charges in another federal investigation related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results.

 

Trump, who is currently a front-runner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race, claimed to have received a letter from special counsel Jack Smith indicating that he is a target of that investigation. Trump's legal team met with Smith's team last week. In June, Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 counts in the classified documents case and has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Texas Human Trafficking Ring That Allegedly Smuggled Hundreds Of Migrants Hit With Money Laundering Charges

 

Alleged members of a human trafficking ring in Texas who are accused of smuggling hundreds of migrants in squalid conditions were charged with money laundering on Friday.

 

The group hid their payments for smuggling illegal migrants across the border by disguising them as compensation for fake construction jobs, federal prosecutors said.

 

The new charges were filed against Erminia Serrano Piedra, 32, also known as Irma or “Boss Lady,” and three men.

 

“Boss Lady” and the other three alleged traffickers “conspired to engage in financial transactions designed to conceal the nature, location, source, ownership, and control of ill-gotten proceeds of illicit human smuggling and the unlawful harboring and transportation of undocumented aliens,” according to the superseding indictment from a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Texas.

 

The four suspects, who allegedly led the trafficking ring, are accused of recruiting and using “straw persons” to accept human smuggling payments into their bank accounts and then transfer the payments to the leaders as “work” payments for construction.

 

They also allegedly recruited people to accept human smuggling payments as cash and then transfer the payments as checks from their business bank accounts.

 

The indictment also mentions the criminal forfeiture of three properties worth about $2.3 million, $515,000, and $344,000, as well as about $2,945,027 in money judgments.

 

Three of the four defendants were previously charged with human smuggling in a September indictment.

 

The September indictment included photos of migrants crammed in wooden crates, in the back of tractor-trailers, and trapped in the bed cover of a pickup truck.

 

Last year’s indictment was the result of a large operation that arrested 14 alleged human smugglers led by “Boss Lady” that “facilitated the unlawful transportation and movement of migrants within the United States in deplorable conditions for profit,” the Justice Department said.

 

Smugglers have used a plethora of creative means to get their human cargo past border authorities and into the country.

 

This month, smugglers were caught using a fake U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) truck to try to sneak migrants over the U.S. border in California on Saturday.

 

Border authorities warn that it is extremely dangerous for migrants to depend on smugglers to help them make the trek up through Central America and over the U.S. border illegally.

 

Last year in June, 53 migrants died in an 18-wheeler that was decked out to look like a legally registered truck. The truck made it past a Texas border checkpoint and arrived in San Antonio, where it started having mechanical problems and was abandoned by its driver.

 

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has allowed hundreds of thousands of new illegal migrants into the country.

 

Overall, during the last two years, the administration has allowed at least 541,000 migrants into the country through the parole authority, which allows the federal government to let in migrants without visas.

 

Exacerbating the issue is the end of Title 42, a COVID emergency rule that allowed authorities to deport migrants quickly back to Mexico.

 

Title 42 expired on May 11 after several previous attempts by the Biden administration to end it.

President Joe Biden’s administration has confirmed that it is withholding funding from elementary and secondary schools that offer hunting and archery programs as part of the curriculum.

The Department is administering the bipartisan law as written by Congress.”

 

According to the Congressional Research Service, the ESEA serves as the primary source of elementary and secondary school’s federal aid in the United States.

 

The Biden administration’s decision to block funding for school hunting and archery programs is expected to have a major impact on thousands of schools across the United States and millions of students.

With another 386,000 estimated dead, that’s 11.7 million humans in Syria who have violently lost their lives or homes – stunningly over half the total prewar population of 22 millionSyrians.

 

All this tragic human horror only occurs because of an overly aggressive, imperialistic US-Israeli foreign policy creating a path of chaos and destruction across the Middle East and North Africa secretly supporting Islamic terrorists to fight US-Israeli proxy wars to illegally overthrow sovereign national governments like Assad’s. The ruling elite behind the Greater Israel Project deploys US Empire to manufacture unlawful wars and the subsequent largest migration crisis since WWII to willfully and methodically destabilize the world generating such dire human living conditions that expedite formation of a one world government.

 

The all too common human story is that thousands of Syrians unable to find work trapped in inhumane conditions at migrant refugee camps in adjacent countries have opted to desperately sell their organs in order to support their families. Judge rules Trump false election claims while in office covered by presidential immunity

 

A Pennsylvania state judge ruled Monday that an election worker cannot sue former President Trump over statements he made sowing doubt in the 2020 election results while in office, finding the statements are protected by presidential immunity.

 

Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Erdos said Trump’s immunity covered a tweet he issued and comments he made remotely from the White House during a Pennsylvania state Senate committee hearing in November 2020. The statements, made without evidence, claimed fraud in Pennsylvania’s election tabulations.

 

“Other legal proceedings may examine the propriety of his statements and actions while he was the President and whether, as the plaintiffs in this and other cases contend, it was this conduct which served as the actual threat to our democracy,” Erdos ruled. “But this case is not the proper place to do so. Here, Trump is entitled to Presidential immunity.”

 

James Savage, a Pennsylvania voting machine supervisor in the 2020 election, filed two lawsuits — which have since been consolidated — alleging that Trump, Rudy Giuliani, two poll watchers and others conspired to defame him. Savage says their statements led him to receive death threats and suffer two heart attacks.

 

Erdos ruled Trump has immunity for the tweet and the remarks at the state Senate hearing because both statements were made while he was serving as president. But the lawsuit also contains claims over a letter Trump wrote to the House Jan. 6 committee last October, which Trump is not immune from as it was written after leaving office.

 

Erdos ruled the two earlier statements were part of Trump’s official duties, as he was speaking to the public on matters of public concern.

 

“Here, then-President Trump’s Gettysburg remarks and his tweet were public,” Erdos wrote. “Moreover, the topic of these statements—claims from third parties and the President himself about irregularities in the Presidential election which on their face called into question the integrity of the election and whether now-President Joseph Biden had been duly elected—was undoubtedly a matter of great public concern.”

The parental rights group Parents Defending Education obtained a presentation, published Monday by Fox News Digital, from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System through a public records request.

 

The presentation from the district's July 19 ENGAGE conference was titled, "The World Needs More Purple People," and it promoted using Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to connect with students.

 

A "privilege" and "oppression" chart is included in the slideshow. It states that "Privilege Status" is associated with the labels "white," "able-bodied," "men, cisgender," "heterosexual," "Christian," and "middle class."

 

Meanwhile, the presentation states that "Oppression Status" is associated with the labels "person of color," physical, cognitive and mental health disability, "women, grand, nonbinary, genderqueer," "LGBQ+, polyamorous, asexual, aromantic," "Muslim, Eastern, Pagan, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist," and "working class."

 

The presentation also included a section titled, "Trauma from language," which stated: "Topics can be triggering," such as saying things to students like "Make this for your mommy."

 

Staff were also advised to not use the word "should," in phrases like "You aren't in kindergarten, you should know…," according to the slideshow. It also said that the phrase "'I don’t see color' is the same as saying 'I don’t see you.'"

 

A spokesperson for the school told Fox that the lecture was not mandatory and the district is in compliance with state law.

 

"Since this presentation was developed independently by educators and not developed or delivered by the District, I do not have any additional information on the presentation," the spokesperson also said.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — The fate of an American nurse and her daughter kidnapped in Haiti last week remains unknown Tuesday as the U.S. State Department refused to say whether the abductors made demands.

 

Around 200 Haitians had marched in their nation's capital Monday to show their anger over an abduction that’s another example of the worsening gang violence that has overtaken much of Port-au-Prince.

 

Alix Dorsainil of New Hampshire was working for El Roi Haiti, a nonprofit Christian ministry, when she and her daughter were seized Thursday. She is the wife of its founder, Sandro Dorsainvil.

 

Witnesses told The Associated Press that Dorsainvil was working in the small brick clinic when armed men burst in and seized her. Lormina Louima, a patient waiting for a check-up, said one man pulled out his gun and told her to relax.

 

“When I saw the gun, I was so scared,” Louima said. “I said, ‘I don’t want to see this, let me go.’”

 

Some members of the community said the unidentified men asked for $1 million in ransom, a standard practice of the gangs killing and sowing terror in Haiti's impoverished populace. Hundreds of kidnappings have occurred in the country this year alone, figures from the local nonprofit Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights show.

COVID was a plandemic used to get people thinking about vaccines and public pushback for bodily autonomy. The administration standing behind the vaccines and the public debate over them was the entire purpose. If patriots are in control, and the shots distributed really were "safe and effective" and the claims of long COVID are actually just cumulative long-term effects from the many vaccines people have received prior to the COVID one, then that means the shots distributed to the public were indeed "safe and effective".
