Silicon Valley Elites Unmasked as Buyers of 52,000 Acres Land to Build Utopian City Near Travis Air Force Base in Northern California

 

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that US Air Force officials are investigating a series of major land purchases worth over $1 billion by Flannery Associates LLC, a mysterious investment group.

 

The company, Flannery Associates LLC, has acquired approximately 55,000 acres of dry farmland in Solano County, California, over the last five years, ABC7 News reported.

 

The Flannery Associates purchases amount to approximately 52,000 acres of land surrounding Travis Air Force Base in California.

 

These land acquisitions, which have included parcels on three sides of the critical military base, began in 2018 and have amounted to around $800 million.

 

Local and federal authorities have expressed concern over the ongoing purchases, dubbing them from suspicious to intimidating.

 

“Their intention isn’t to grow olive trees,” said Sarah Donnelly, a city councilmember for Rio Vista, a town encompassed by the acquired land.

 

“It feels nefarious to need all of the land to the point where you’re going to sue them to intimidate to sell to you – those aren’t farmers,” she continued, indicating that the company’s motives might extend beyond agricultural purposes.

 

“There seems like there’s something larger in the works,” said Donnelly.

 

Investigators have failed to identify the backers behind the group after an eight month investigation.

 

Via Benzinga – “We don’t know who Flannery is, and their extensive purchases do not make sense to anybody in the area,” Rep. John Garamendi (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee’s readiness panel, told The Wall Street Journal. “The fact that they’re buying land purposefully right up to the fence at Travis raises significant questions.”

 

According to the New York Times, Flannery Associates, supported by a consortium of Silicon Valley elites, discreetly acquired $800 million in agricultural and undeveloped land. The group aims to construct an eco-friendly, utopian community featuring robust public transit and urban amenities, all powered by renewable energy.

 

The Guardian reported:

 

The project was spearheaded by Jan Sramek, a 36-year-old former trader for the investment banking firm Goldman Sachs, and is backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors including Michael Moritz, a venture capitalist; Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of Linkedin; Laurene Powell Jobs, the founder of the philanthropic group Emerson Collective and wife of Steve Jobs; Marc Andreessen, an investor and software developer; Patrick and John Collison, the sibling co-founders of the payment processor Stripe; and the entrepreneurs Daniel Gross and Nat Friedman, the Times reported.

 

Recently, Flannery has been meeting with local officials and representatives, according to the Times. It has also been sending out opinion polls to local residents to gauge their feelings on an initiative that could appear on Solano county voter’s ballots, according to the newspaper SF Gate.

 

“This project would include a new city with tens of thousands of new homes, a large solar energy farm, orchards with over a million new trees, and over ten thousand acres of new parks and open space,” a screenshot of the survey obtained by the newspaper reads.

 

The poll also asks if residents would support the project if it was placed in an area with “bad soil that only contributes 5% of the county’s agricultural production,” according to a Facebook post from Catherine Moy, the mayor of Fairfield, the closest city to Flannery’s purchases.

 

Despite the lofty goals set forth by Flannery, the group faces an uphill battle that will affect each step of the process of creating a new city from scratch. The firm has been sued by farmers who sold their land to the group over what the land owners describe as an “illegal price-fixing conspiracy”. Flannery would have to get the blessing of officials at the local and state levels and residents. It will also have to navigate environmental and zoning roadblocks. according the San Francisco Chronicle.

Multiple people were killed in a shooting in Jacksonville, Florida, Saturday afternoon, Mayor Donna Deegan told CNN.

 

She said “multiple fatalities” were reported and more details would be coming from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shortly.

 

Deegan also told CNN affiliate WJXT the shooter was barricaded inside a Dollar General store on Kings Road. It was not immediately clear if victims were shot inside the store or at a different location.

 

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson Eric Prosswimmer told CNN that the department was “on standby” to treat victims but could not share any information about how many people were hurt.

 

Jacksonville is located in northeast Florida, about 35 miles south of the Georgia border.

 

The area near the Dollar General store features several churches and an apartment building across the street.

 

Edward Waters University, a historically Black private Christian school that is located less than a mile southeast of the store, issued campus-wide stay-in-place order. The warning said students, faculty and staff don’t appear to be involved, according to preliminary reports.

 

“Our campus police have secured all campus facilities. Students are being kept in their residence halls through the afternoon until the scene is cleared,” the alert said.

Under the crazy legal theories being pushed in her indictment, every lawyer in Georgia who represents a defendant and makes statements that turn out to be wrong or legal arguments that are ultimately rejected could be accused of conspiring with his or her client to commit a crime.

 

In other words, they could be charged with a crime for doing what the professional code of conduct tells the lawyer he is supposed to do; namely, represent the interests of his client to the best of his abilities.

 

The 98-page indictment contains 41 counts, all of which are centered around Georgia’s “RICO” statute— the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act—and it includes “co-conspirators,” among them Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows; and Trump’s former lawyers, among them Rudy Giuliani.

How does RICO come into it? Willis claims that the “conspiracy contained a common plan and purpose to commit two or more acts of racketeering activity in Fulton County, Georgia, elsewhere in the State of Georgia, and in other states,” including Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.

 

This indictment is the most outrageous, outlandish misuse of a RICO statute that I have ever seen and it fails to establish a credible violation of the law.

 

And apparently, Fulton County DA Willis thinks she not only has statewide jurisdiction in Georgia, but also has jurisdiction over acts that supposedly happened in six other states and the District of Columbia.

 

I am sure the attorneys general of those states will be surprised to learn that.

 

In order to justify her fantasy, Willis lists a series of actions that occurred from Nov. 4, 2020, to Sept. 15, 2022, which were supposedly overt acts in furtherance of the conspiracy. But Willis lists incident after incident (what the indictment terms “Acts”) of perfectly legal actions that not only don’t violate any laws, but are fully protected under the First Amendment.

Speech on TV an “Illegal” Act? Seriously?

 

The first “illegal” act listed is Trump on Nov. 4, 2020, making a “nationally televised speech falsely declaring victory in the 2020 presidential election.” She makes similar ridiculous claims against other defendants, such as Giuliani, for example, because he “appeared at a press conference at the Republican National Committee Headquarters” making similar “false statements concerning fraud” in the 2020 election.

 

Willis even laughably lists as part of the unlawful conspiracy many public tweets by Trump, such as one on Dec. 3, 2020, and another on Dec. 30, urging the public to watch the live coverage of the Georgia legislature’s hearings on the 2020 election. Or another tweet on Dec. 30 thanking the Georgia legislature “for today’s revealing meeting!” that Trump said uncovered “Massive VOTER FRAUD.”

 

Under that bizarre notion, would the legislators who participated in those hearings, listened attentively, and considered the allegations that had been raised be unindicted co-conspirators? That is how nutty Willis’ claims are—claims that are a direct attack on political speech.

 

Willis should have received a failing grade in constitutional law in law school since Trump’s speech and all of the other public and private statements made by Giuliani and the other political targets of her indictment—sorry, I mean defendants—were fully within their rights under the First Amendment to engage in “freedom of speech” and voice their complaints, concerns, and grievances about the election—even if those turned out to be wrong.

 

Even special counsel Jack Smith acknowledged in the federal indictment that was returned a couple of weeks ago that “[t]he Defendant had a right, like every American, to speak publicly about the election and even to claim, falsely, that there had been outcome-determinative fraud during the election and that he had won. He was also entitled to formally challenge the results of the election through lawful and appropriate means, such as by seeking recounts or audits of the popular vote in states or filing lawsuits challenging ballots and procedures.”

 

Apparently, Willis doesn’t agree.

 

If It Was Illegal, Why Wasn’t Abrams Charged?

 

Whether or not Trump or Giuliani or anyone else was right or wrong about what happened in that election is irrelevant.

 

They had every right to make that claim then, and every right to make that claim today, the same way that Democrat Stacey Abrams had every right to make the identical claim about her two runs for governor in Georgia.

 

She was clearly wrong, and Republican Brian Kemp is the validly elected governor of the state. But the fact that she and her supporters and allies are wrong doesn’t make them part of some grand criminal conspiracy to overturn an election.

 

But then, Abrams is a Democrat like Willis, so I am sure the thought of targeting Abrams with similar charges never occurred to Willis.

 

The indictment recites other acts that Willis claims were in furtherance of the conspiracy and intended to interfere with the election results that involved various defendants, such Giuliani and Meadows contacting state legislators as well as members of Congress to persuade them to take action to correct what they viewed as a stolen election.

 

Texting for Phone Numbers Illegal? Seriously?

 

That included the supposedly illegal action of Meadows, listed as Act 8, of texting a message to Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., asking him for “the number for the speaker and the leader of PA Legislature” because “POTUS wants to chat with them.”

 

No, really: That is listed as a criminal violation of the law!

 

Keep in mind that the First Amendment’s free speech provision protects the right of Trump, Meadows, Giuliani, and others to speak to state legislators about any subject and any claims—even if those claims, for example, turn out not to be true.

 

But another portion of the First Amendment protects their actions as well.

 

An often overlooked part of the First Amendment is the right of all Americans to “petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Trump certainly had a grievance: He believed (and still believes) the election was stolen from him because illegal votes were counted and the votes of some legal voters were not. Trying to persuade state officials to correct that is fully within that protected right under the First Amendment.

 

Moreover, to the extent that Willis is trying to indict Trump for such actions while he was president, he has a very strong argument that any actions he took as president after November 2020 and before Jan. 20, 2021, including with state and local legislators and officials, were within the ambit of his official actions as president, and presidential immunity applies.

 

It may also apply to subordinates within the executive branch, like former Justice Department lawyer Jeff Clark, who is a named defendant.

Within Her Legal Authority? Seriously?

 

Whether those actions by the president and executive branch officials questioning the election outcome in several states or the process of the electoral vote count in Congress were misguided or not is irrelevant and not subject to criminal indictment by a politically motivated district attorney who is acting far outside her legal authority and jurisdiction.

 

That’s particularly true when you read all of the supposedly unlawful acts that Willis lists involving Trump’s actions in Washington, not Georgia, over the Jan. 6 joint meeting of Congress, where she includes things like a telephone call by Trump to then-Vice President Mike Pence in which Trump “solicited him to disrupt and delay the joint session of Congress on January 6, 2021.”

 

The Fulton County indictment also suffers from the same defect that affects the federal indictment by special counsel Smith.

 

Willis claims that it was “unlawful” for Trump and other defendants to try to persuade state legislators in states such as Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona to “appoint presidential electors” that would vote for Trump. She targets David Shafer, a former state senator and the former chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, for the same reason; namely, setting up an alternative slate of electors to be utilized if the Trump campaign was successful in its legal fight over the outcome of the election.

 

Willis is just plain wrong.

 

As I explained in my analysis of the federal indictment:

 

But the idea of alternative electors isn’t new and has happened in prior presidential elections without anyone claiming they violated federal criminal law, including the 1876 contest between Samuel Tilden, a Democrat, and Rutherford B. Hayes, a Republican, when Oregon, South Carolina, Florida, and Louisiana sent two conflicting slates of electoral votes to Congress. It happened again in 1960, when the alternative votes of John Kennedy electors from Hawaii were counted instead of the votes of the slate of Richard Nixon electors that was originally certified by the governor. In 2000, then-Rep. Patsy Mink, D-Hawaii, suggested that then-Vice President Al Gore designate a slate of contingent electors for Florida, but Gore finally conceded before that could occur. Mink was never charged with trying to “obstruct” an official proceeding, and for good reason. What she did—just like what Trump was doing—wasn’t a criminal violation of the law.

 

Contingent Electors Illegal? Seriously?

 

Moreover, under § 21-2-172 of the Georgia Code, the authority to choose electors is given to the “state party or body chairperson of such political party,” which means that Shafer, when he was the chairman of the Georgia GOP, was acting in compliance with state law in selecting a group of contingent electors as a backup in case any of the election contests were successful either in court or with the state legislature.

 

The indictment makes no mention of this statute, which Willis conveniently ignores.

 

All of these charges about the contingent electors are especially dangerous. Party activists should be encouraged to participate in the hurly-burly of the political process without having to worry about the criminal law being weaponized against them.

 

By the way, all of the claims about what happened in Georgia and other states that Willis says were “false statements” and therefore illegal were supported in whole or in part by the attorneys general of 18 states.

 

Keep in mind that the Texas attorney general filed a motion with the U.S. Supreme Court asking for permission to file a complaint also contesting the election outcomes in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Willis’ home state of Georgia. In fact, Willis alleges in the indictment that it was wrong for Trump to confer with Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr about this motion, again, something he had every right to do.

 

Seventeen states, led by Missouri, filed a joint amicus brief supporting the Texas complaint because of their serious concerns about the irregularities that occurred in the election, including in Georgia.

18 Attorneys General Conspired? Seriously?

 

The Supreme Court refused to allow the case to go forward, but Willis is essentially saying that the attorneys general of 18 states were engaging in a conspiracy under her state’s RICO law to try to “unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump” by supporting such claims, including in Georgia.

 

That is just how odious this indictment is and how wrong her claim is that all of the defendants in this case “knew” that the claims they were making about the problems and irregularities in the Georgia election were false.

 

The claims made against the lawyers in the case, such as Ray Smith (an outstanding, ethical, highly professional lawyer I’ve known for 30 years), are especially obnoxious and a blatant attack on the way our justice system operates. He supposedly engaged in a criminal violation of the law by presenting the claims of his client to state legislators at the legislative hearings investigating the election and by participating in efforts to provide a contingent, alternative slate of Trump electors that could be used by those legislators if they determined that the claims about the invalidity of the election were correct.

 

“Competent Representation” Wrong? Seriously?

 

Smith was doing exactly what lawyers are called on to do by the State Bar rules that govern Georgia lawyers (Rule 1.1 and 1.3); namely, to provide “competent representation” and to “act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client.”

 

Willis is ignoring not only this professional rule, but also the warning in Rule 1.2 (b) that a lawyer’s representation of a client “does not constitute an endorsement of the client’s political, economic, social or moral views or activities.” By attacking the lawyers who were representing Trump in court and before state officials, Willis is attacking the very essence of our adversarial legal system and the way it works in ensuring that individuals are able to obtain legal representation.

 

There are charges in the indictment over claimed attempts to “influence witnesses” by “purporting to offer” an election worker with knowledge of what happened during the vote tabulation in the State Farm Arena with “help.”

 

That witness was afraid to talk to one of the defendants “because he was a white man” and that offer to help and supposedly scaring a witness because the defendant was simply a different color (?!) is a remarkable claim, one in which we need to know the facts of what really happened, rather than the grand jury’s fanciful claims to determine if there was actually a violation of the law.

 

Similarly, there are allegations about illegal access to voting equipment in Coffee County, where we don’t really know the facts, since we cannot trust the biased grand jury’s version. There is certainly a possibility that state law was violated. But such a violation would only pertain to the individuals involved in the breach, and not anyone else who had no knowledge of, or participation in, whatever happened.

Fair Trial in Democratic County? Seriously?

 

Unfortunately, just like in the District of Columbia, where the federal indictment over alleged interference in the election was filed, Fulton County is a Democrat-dominated county that voted overwhelmingly for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

 

The ability of Donald Trump or any of the other defendants—all of them Republicans—to get a fair trial there is virtually nonexistent. And that is certainly true with a prosecutor who was already disqualified from targeting one of the alternate electors, Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, because she hosted a fundraiser for his Democratic political opponent in the election in which Jones was elected.

 

In other words, Willis hosted a fundraiser for someone who was running against an individual who she had publicly labeled as a target of a criminal investigation that she was conducting.

 

That shows what a partisan she is and how her political ambitions are driving this criminal proceeding. She was an obscure, unknown local prosecutor who apparently sees this case as her ticket to national prominence within her political party.

 

Rule 3.8 of Georgia’s Code of Conduct cautions prosecutors that they must not prosecute a charge “that the prosecutor knows is not supported by probable cause.” This spurious indictment fits squarely within that warning.

 

In fact, Willis reminds me of the infamous former local prosecutor in the Duke lacrosse case, Mike Nifong. In 2015, he was disbarred in North Carolina for knowingly pursuing a false rape case against members of the Duke team. He did so to boost his chances to win the next DA election, engaging in “intentional prosecutorial misconduct” that involved “dishonesty, fraud, deceit and misrepresentation” according to the state bar’s disciplinary committee.

 

Unfortunately, Willis is trying to boost her political career at the cost of justice, the First Amendment, and fundamental fairness in the election process.

They show how a determined group of activist scientists and journalists combined to secure the retraction of a paper that said a climate emergency was not supported by the available data. Science writer and economist Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. has published the startling emails and concludes: “Shenanigans continue in climate science, with influential scientists teaming up with journalists to corrupt peer review.”

 

The offending paper was published in January 2022 in a Springer Nature journal and at first attracted little attention. But on September 14th the Daily Sceptic covered its main conclusions and as a result it went viral on social media with around 9,000 Twitter retweets. After nearly a year of lobbying, Springer Nature has retracted the popular article. In the light of concerns, the Editor-in-Chief is said to no longer have confidence in the results and conclusion reported in the paper. The authors were invited to submit an addendum but this was “not considered suitable for publication”. The leaked emails show that the addendum was sent for review to four people, and only one objected to publication.

 

What is shocking about this censorship is that the paper was produced by four distinguished scientists, including three professors of physics, and was heavily based on data used by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The lead author was Professor Gianluca Alimonti of Milan University and senior researcher of Italy’s National Institute of Nuclear Physics. One of the co-compilers of the Met Office’s HadCRUT global temperature database Dr. Phil Jones emailed Michael Mann, author of the infamous temperature ‘hockey stick’, stating: “I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow – even if we have to redefine what the peer-reviewed literature is!”

 

Interestingly, Professor Michael Mann of the University of Pennsylvania, has a part to play in this latest de-platforming exercise. In the Guardian attack article he said it was another example of scientists from “totally unrelated fields” coming in and naïvely applying inappropriate methods to data they don’t understand. “Either the consensus of the world’s climate experts that climate change is causing a very clear increase in many types of weather extremes is wrong, or a couple of nuclear physics dudes in Italy are wrong,” he said.

Sent hours before Trump is expected to surrender at the Fulton County Jail, the letter cites “concerns about [Willis’s] motivation” in bringing the case and suggests her sprawling racketeering indictment against the former president and 18 others highlights “the threat that such state prosecutions can pose to the operations of the federal government.”

 

The letter also asked whether Willis at any point communicated with the team of special counsel Jack Smith, who earlier this month brought federal charges against Trump related to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

 

The letter mirrors those the committee has sent related to other criminal cases against Trump and echoes the former president’s frequent complaints that all of the charges leveled against him are motivated by politics rather than any wrongdoing.

 

“The timing of this prosecution reinforces concerns about your motivation,” Jordan wrote.

 

“You did not bring charges until two-and-a-half years later, at a time when the campaign for the Republican presidential nomination is in full swing,” he continued. “Moreover, you have requested that the trial in this matter begin on March 4, 2024, the day before Super Tuesday and eight days before the Georgia presidential primary.”

 

Willis’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

 

Jordan’s panel has frequently sought information on criminal probes into Trump at key junctures.

 

He sent a letter to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) before he had even brought charges against Trump, writing that he was “reportedly about to engage in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority.”

 

He’s also sent two letters to Attorney General Merrick Garland concerning Smith’s investigation.

Thursday’s letter lays out a case for Trump, arguing the actions he took in Georgia — asking the secretary of state to “find” enough votes for him to win and assembling a slate of fake electors — could be considered official actions taken by a president.

 

“When states rely on acts like these—apparently taken in connection with official duties—to criminally prosecute federal officers, it raises serious concerns under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution and poses a threat to the operations of the federal government,” Jordan writes.

 

“The threat of future state prosecution for official acts may dissuade federal officers from effectively performing their official duties and responsibilities.”

 

He also posits that such prosecutions could have a chilling effect on presidents while in office.

 

“To the extent that presidents fear that they may be subject to politically motivated prosecutions after they leave office, this could impact the policies they choose to pursue while in office,” Jordan said.

 

“And because this former President is a current candidate for that office, the indictment implicates another core federal interest: a presidential election.”

 

For her part, Willis has denied having any contact with Smith.

 

“I don’t know what Jack Smith is doing, Jack Smith doesn’t know what I’m doing. In all honesty, if Jack Smith was standing next to me, I’m not sure I would know who he was. My guess is he probably can’t pronounce my name correctly,” Willis told local media ahead of filing charges.

More Than 2,000 Students Missing From School Enrollment in Wake of Deadly Lahaina Wildfire

The Hawaii State Department of Education (HDOE) has released a report showing over 2,000 students missing from Lahaina's public school enrollment following the West Maui wildfires that killed at least 115 and left hundreds unaccounted for.

The HDOE "continues to navigate the significant impacts of the West Maui (Lahaina) wildfires which affected West Maui communities and schools in the Lahainaluna complex," said HDOE Superintendent Keith Hayashi in a letter to state Board of Education Chairman Warren Haruki.

The Aug. 8 Lahaina wildfire caused significant damage to the Lahainaluna complex, including King Kamehameha III Elementary School, Princess Nahienaena Elementary School, Lahaina Intermediate School, and Lahainaluna High School.

 

Princess Nahienaena Elementary School (707 students), Lahaina Intermediate School (658 students), and Lahainaluna High School (1,012 students) all sustained wind, debris, ash, and soot damage, and remain closed for water safety and environmental quality.

According to the report, all four schools in the complex are awaiting official clearance.

 

The report noted that as of Aug. 9, 2023, the Lahainaluna complex had a total enrollment of 3,001 students, including 327 staff.

Since the Lahaina fire, 538 students have re-enrolled in other public schools, and 438 have enrolled in the state distance learning program.

'Children Passed'

The remaining students—2,025—have yet to re-enroll in another public school or opted for distance learning, the report adds.

Whether these students moved out of state or enrolled in private schools is still undetermined.

The HDOE did not respond to an email from The Epoch Times seeking comment on this story.

In the meantime, the DOE report said it is working to meet short-term needs, such as mental health support information for students and staff and installing monitors for air quality.

Other supports include a newly established Maui support hotline and in-person, tele-health, and virtual options for medical needs.

On Aug. 25, Hawaii officials released the names of 388 residents still missing in the Lahaina fire, the worst natural disaster in U.S. history.

At least 850 people—including many children—remain unaccounted for, down from an earlier estimate of over 1,000 in the Lahaina fire.

During an interview with CBS News' Face The Nation on Aug. 20, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green, a Democrat, described the devastating impact on West Maui schools.

"King Kamehameha Elementary School in Lahaina is burned to the ground. I mean, it's totally gone. It used to host 650 children; some of those children passed," Gov. Green said.

Vivek Ramaswamy’s Voting Record Shows He is Not a Registered Republican, and Donated to Anti-Trump Democrat Candidate in 2016

 

In a recent revelation, GOP presidential candidate Hirsh Singh has brought to light controversial details concerning Vivek Ramaswamy’s political affiliations and voting history. Documentation obtained from the Franklin County, Ohio Board of Elections suggests that Ramaswamy is not a registered Republican but, rather, a registered “Unaffiliated” voter.

 

In an X post (formerly Twitter), Singh wrote, “Per documentation received by Vivek Ramswamy’s Franklin County, Ohio Board of Elections Vivek is not a registered Republican, but Registered Unaffiliated and never voted in a Republican Primary in his entire life.”

 

Voting records, initially posted by an account called Ohio Legislative Watch on X, show Ramaswamy did not vote in the Ohio state primaries in 2022 and 2023.

 

“Well this is awkward. GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who lives in Columbus, is not a registered Republican in Ohio and has skipped half of the elections since registering to vote in Franklin County,” the account wrote, adding, “His wife is also unaffiliated and skipped the same elections.”

 

“His parents live in Hamilton County and do not appear to be registered to vote at all, at least not at the address where they claim an owner-occupied property tax reduction,” the post concluded.

Ramaswamy, 38, is listed as an “unaffiliated” voter in Franklin County, Ohio, where he’s been registered to vote since November 2021, after he moved to Columbus.

 

The biotech multimillionaire has described himself as being a “libertarian freestyler” in college.

 

He’s said he voted for a Libertarian in the 2004 presidential election, but did not vote in 2008, 2012 or 2016, according to Reuters, and has contributed to both Republican and Democratic candidates. He brushed past a question about his sparse voting history during Wednesday’s GOP presidential debate.

 

Ramaswamy said he went on to become a “hardcore” Trump supporter and voted for him in 2020.

 

Ramaswamy, who declared his presidential candidacy this past February, has previously defended his failure to vote in his younger days, telling Sean Hannity he hadn’t then because he was “a jaded person in my twenties.”

 

Adding to the controversy, Federal Election Commission (FEC) data reveals that Ramaswamy was a donor to the Democratic Party in the 2016 Democratic Primary.

 

FEC records show that on March 29, 2016, Vivek Ramaswamy made a $2,700 ActBlue donation to the Friends of Dena campaign group, which is associated with Democratic Party congressional candidate Dena Minning Grayson.
