In the afternoon, the President will host a bilateral meeting with President Joo Manuel Gonalves Loureno of the Republic of Angola. The leaders will mark 30-years of diplomatic relations and discuss next steps to deepen our bilateral cooperation on trade, investment, climate and energy, and to advance President Bidens Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI) project in the Lobito Corridor, which will connect Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia to global markets through Angolas Lobito port. Honest question ref J6.

I'm aware of those folks (PRESUMEABLY) currently sitting in jail.

 

Does anyone have family or friend who has been charged with something for J6 ?

-Someone who was onsite and entered the building,

-maybe only stayed outside but charged with something else

-maybe flew into DC and is on a terror watch list

-forced to wear an ankle monitor

 

Has anyone officially gone to court and completed the whole "court-related J6 issue" nightmare?

 

Here's why I ask: I have a friend who went to DC, and got caught up in a kerfuffle outside the Capitol. He has been charged, but all court dates keep getting pushed back, he has not accepted any of the charges or a plea deal. However, when they came to arrest him (local PD in a diff state), he stayed in his home for 45 mins/refused to come and as a result, they charged him with resisting and he has been on an ankle monitor since this summer.

 

I've checked his court case number with the DC court docket and it's sealed. As are a b'jillion other court cases. Oddly enough, it appears that all the court cases (maybe 1000 total in 2023) for this magistrate are sealed. I don't know if its part of the "Sealed Indictments" list that goes Waaaaay back.(The one with hundreds of thousands of names on it.)

 

I'm wondering where this is going, when its going to get there. He is not allowed to speak to any other people that were at J6 (violation of his terms of house arrest) so he cannot confirm their status either. He has a shithead Probation Officer that gigs him everytime he "violates" his weekly schedule. (has to submit a schedule everyweek for the following week, with a list of places that he can go to, the address, and the hours he will be away from home. He recently had a flat tire and had to pull over, and got gigged for stopping at a location not on his list. He is currently in the building industry, and his ankle monitor get dirty on the jobsite. As such, it has "alarmed" at 3-5am, showing he was tampering with it, when he was at home sleeping- but he got gigged for it.) Currently he meets with his attny in his home state, and has zoom meetings with DC prosecutor, however he has been told he will go to actual court in DC. So, how does that work under COG with DC being under foreign rule, yet American laws/attnys being used against him? See where I'm going with this?

 

So I'm wondering whats really going on here with all the delays. And if these are truly official charges by a corrupt DC Capitol police that will hold water. Or if it's all just a game we have to suffer thru during COG?

I appreciate that some of you do have science and very much hope this helps improve your lives.

It seems that you try to approach the whole God thing with science too. That is not a great idea, as the nature of my works is change. You might find yourself in a spot where science changed and you might even consider this being the effect due to your actions. I can see that leading to misunderstanding.

 

It seems you do not really understand it. I guess you are at a point where the sparkles at stonehenge stuff got your attention and you realized there are angels.

 

Those angels might be interested in science, that is bc of the 666 thing, meaning there is past, present and future all accessible at once (for some folks "out there" this is not much surprising), bc of that it does make sense to once in a while think about, communicate or even try out basic science stuff. This might be cought up by angels and used for all your good. the fact that there is sulfur when you turn wood into coal in a pile might be rather interesting to some.

 

Again though, the stuff I do I doo rather freely, itΒ΄s conceptual thinking enabling architects, those that talk with time/ing, those that build worlds, those that, under my authority, might build workds where science hugely differs, like me having found myself twice in the spot of yellow and blue not mixing into green but into purple. science can hardly get that. and I do think itΒ΄s less potentially disturbing to some than explaining other things. is all possible? yeah, sure. but not everything makes sence and should be.

Michael Latt, a marketing consultant and social justice advocate with strong ties to Hollywood, died Monday after a woman entered his home and fired a bullet that struck him in the head, law enforcement sources told The Times.

 

Authorities believe the shooting was a random act of violence.

 

Police were contacted around 6 p.m. about a shooting at Latt's residence in the 900 block of Alandele Avenue. Officers arrived to find him with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.

 

A preliminary investigation found Latt was shot by a woman who had entered his home without his permission. The suspect, identified by police as Jameelah Elena Michl, 36, was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene. Taken into custody by responding officers, she is being held in lieu of $3-million bail.

Michl was described by law enforcement as a person living in her vehicle, which was parked nearby and removed as evidence by police. Latt did not know his assailant, and initial information indicated she was not given access to the home, law enforcement sources told The Times.

 

Latt was the chief executive of Lead With Love, an entertainment marketing consulting firm he founded in 2019 with an emphasis on elevating Black creatives and other underrepresented voices in Hollywood. He was the son of film producer David Latt and Michelle Satter, the founding senior director at the Sundance Institute. His brother, Franklin Latt, is an agent at CAA.

 

Satter shared the news Wednesday of Latt's death on X: "Our beloved son Michael Latt fell victim to a tragic act of violence this week," she wrote. "Michael devoted his career to supporting artists, championing organizations that raised up artists of color, & leveraged storytelling for enduring change. We celebrate his legacy, love & compassion."

 

As news spread Wednesday of Latt's death, hundreds of colleagues, friends and collaborators offered their condolences.

 

"Devastating loss β€” Michael was a shining beacon of selfless kindness and consistency," actor Jesse Williams wrote on Latt's final Instagram post.

 

The Sundance Institute, where Latt worked before and during his time at Lead With Love, issued a statement on behalf of the Latt family mourning his death.

 

"He dedicated his career to serving others, employing storytelling, art, and various mediums to create enduring change and galvanizing communities with hope, love, and inspiration," the statement read. "Michael will never be forgotten and his legacy and work will carry on through his family, his friends, and his colleagues."

After graduating from Chapman University in 2013 with a degree in public relations and advertising, Latt worked in entertainment marketing for several years. His work for Blackout for Human Rights, a social justice collective, led him to redirect the focus of his work to social justice activism.

 

"The moment I realized that I could use my skill set for social good, I decided to dedicate the rest of my career to helping others, empowering storytellers of color, and fighting injustice wherever it stands,” he told Forbes.

 

As the head of Lead With Love, Latt oversaw marketing campaigns featuring celebrities such as the musician Common and director Ryan Coogler. In 2020, the organization led a get-out-the-vote campaign in the lead-up to the November election. More recently, the organization led a campaign titled "Honoring Black Women" to promote the 2022 film "Till," which told the story of Emmett Till, the Black 14-year-old who was lynched in 1955, and his mother, Mamie.

 

"He was the definitive ally β€” used every tool he had to elevate the voices and work of Black creatives," writer Akilah Hughes, a friend of Latt's, wrote on X.

I appreciate that some of you do have science and very much hope this helps improve your lives.

It seems that you try to approach the whole God thing with science too. That is not a great idea, as the nature of my works is change. You might find yourself in a spot where science changed and you might even consider this being the effect due to your actions. I can see that leading to misunderstanding.

 

It seems you do not really understand it. I guess you are at a point where the sparkles at stonehenge stuff got your attention and you realized there are angels.

 

Those angels might be interested in science, that is bc of the 666 thing, meaning there is past, present and future all accessible at once (for some folks "out there" this is not much surprising), bc of that it does make sense to once in a while think about, communicate or even try out basic science stuff. This might be cought up by angels and used for all your good. the fact that there is sulfur when you turn wood into coal in a pile might be rather interesting to some.

The present review summarizes studies supporting a role of taurine in the treatment of diseases of muscle, the central nervous system, and the cardiovascular system. In addition, taurine is extremely effective in the treatment of the mitochondrial disease, mitochondrial encephalopathy, lactic acidosis, and stroke-like episodes (MELAS), and offers a new approach for the treatment of metabolic diseases, such as diabetes, and inflammatory diseases, such as arthritis. A whistleblower has come forward with an explosive new trove of documents, rivaling or exceeding the Twitter Files and Facebook Files in scale and importance. They describe the activities of an β€œanti-disinformation” group called the Cyber Threat Intelligence League, or CTIL, that officially began as the volunteer project of data scientists and defense and intelligence veterans but whose tactics over time appear to have been absorbed into multiple official projects, including those of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

 

The CTI League documents offer the missing link answers to key questions not addressed in the Twitter Files and Facebook Files. Combined, they offer a comprehensive picture of the birth of the β€œanti-disinformation” sector, or what we have called the Censorship Industrial Complex.

 

The whistleblower's documents describe everything from the genesis of modern digital censorship programs to the role of the military and intelligence agencies, partnerships with civil society organizations and commercial media, and the use of sock puppet accounts and other offensive techniques.

Another explains that while such activities overseas are "typically" done by "the CIA and NSA and the Department of Defense," censorship efforts "against Americans" have to be done using private partners because the government doesn't have the "legal authority."

 

The whistleblower alleges that a leader of CTI League, a β€œformer” British intelligence analyst, was β€œin the room” at the Obama White House in 2017 when she received the instructions to create a counter-disinformation project to stop a "repeat of 2016."

 

Over the last year, Public, Racket, congressional investigators, and others have documented the rise of the Censorship Industrial Complex, a network of over 100 government agencies and nongovernmental organizations that work together to urge censorship by social media platforms and spread propaganda about disfavored individuals, topics, and whole narratives.

 

The US Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA) has been the center of gravity for much of the censorship, with the National Science Foundation financing the development of censorship and disinformation tools and other federal government agencies playing a supportive role.

 

Emails from CISA’s NGO and social media partners show that CISA created the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) in 2020, which involved the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO) and other US government contractors. EIP and its successor, the Virality Project (VP), urged Twitter, Facebook and other platforms to censor social media posts by ordinary citizens and elected officials alike.

 

Despite the overwhelming evidence of government-sponsored censorship, it had yet to be determined where the idea for such mass censorship came from. In 2018, an SIO official and former CIA fellow, Renee DiResta, generated national headlines before and after testifying to the US Senate about Russian government interference in the 2016 election.

 

But what happened between 2018 and Spring 2020? The year 2019 has been a black hole in the research of the Censorship Industrial Complex to date. When one of us, Michael, testified to the U.S. House of Representatives about the Censorship Industrial Complex in March of this year, the entire year was missing from his timeline.

Now, a large trove of new documents, including strategy documents, training videos, presentations, and internal messages, reveal that, in 2019, US and UK military and intelligence contractors led by a former UK defense researcher, Sara-Jayne β€œSJ” Terp, developed the sweeping censorship framework. These contractors co-led CTIL, which partnered with CISA in the spring of 2020.

 

In truth, the building of the Censorship Industrial Complex began even earlier β€” in 2018.

 

Internal CTIL Slack messages show Terp, her colleagues, and officials from DHS and Facebook all working closely together in the censorship process.

 

The CTIL framework and the public-private model are the seeds of what both the US and UK would put into place in 2020 and 2021, including masking censorship within cybersecurity institutions and counter-disinformation agendas; a heavy focus on stopping disfavored narratives, not just wrong facts; and pressuring social media platforms to take down information or take other actions to prevent content from going viral.

 

In the spring of 2020, CTIL began tracking and reporting disfavored content on social media, such as anti-lockdown narratives like β€œall jobs are essential,” β€œwe won’t stay home,” and β€œopen America now.” CTIL created a law enforcement channel for reporting content as part of these efforts. The organization also did research on individuals posting anti-lockdown hashtags like #freeCA and kept a spreadsheet with details from their Twitter bios. The group also discussed requesting β€œtakedowns” and reporting website domains to registrars.

 

CTIL’s approach to β€œdisinformation” went far beyond censorship. The documents show that the group engaged in offensive operations to influence public opinion, discussing ways to promote β€œcounter-messaging,” co-opt hashtags, dilute disfavored messaging, create sock puppet accounts, and infiltrate private invite-only groups.

 

In one suggested list of survey questions, CTIL proposed asking members or potential members, β€œHave you worked with influence operations (e.g. disinformation, hate speech, other digital harms etc) previously?” The survey then asked whether these influence operations included β€œactive measures” and β€œpsyops.”

 

These documents came to us via a highly credible whistleblower. We were able to independently verify their legitimacy through extensive cross-checking of information to publicly available sources. The whistleblower said they were recruited to participate in CTIL through monthly cybersecurity meetings hosted by DHS.

 

The FBI declined to comment. CISA did not respond to our request for comment. And Terp and the other key CTIL leaders also did not respond to our requests for comment.

 

But one person involved, Bonnie Smalley, replied over Linked in, saying, β€œall i can comment on is that i joined cti league which is unaffiliated with any govt orgs because i wanted to combat the inject bleach nonsense online during covid…. i can assure you that we had nothing to do with the govt though.”

 

Yet the documents suggest that government employees were engaged members of CTIL. One individual who worked for DHS, Justin Frappier, was extremely active in CTIL, participating in regular meetings and leading trainings.

CTIL’s ultimate goal, said the whistleblower, ”was to become part of the federal government. In our weekly meetings, they made it clear that they were building these organizations within the federal government, and if you built the first iteration, we could secure a job for you.”

 

Terp’s plan, which she shared in presentations to information security and cybersecurity groups in 2019, was to create β€œMisinfosec communities” that would include government.

 

Both public records and the whistleblower’s documents suggest that she achieved this. In April 2020, Chris Krebs, then-Director of CISA, announced on Twitter and in multiple articles, that CISA was partnering with CTIL. β€œIt’s really an information exchange,” said Krebs.

 

The documents also show that Terp and her colleagues, through a group called MisinfoSec Working Group, which included DiResta, created a censorship, influence, and anti-disinformation strategy called Adversarial Misinformation and Influence Tactics and Techniques (AMITT). They wrote AMITT by adapting a cybersecurity framework developed by MITRE, a major defense and intelligence contractor that has an annual budget of $1 to $2 billion in government funding.

 

Terp later used AMITT to develop the DISARM framework, which the World Health Organization then employed in β€œcountering anti-vaccination campaigns across Europe.”

 

A key component of Terp’s work through CTIL, MisinfoSec, and AMITT was to insert the concept of β€œcognitive security” into the fields of cybersecurity and information security.

 

The sum total of the documents is a clear picture of a highly coordinated and sophisticated effort by the US and UK governments to build a domestic censorship effort and influence operations similar to the ones they have used in foreign countries. At one point, Terp openly referenced her work β€œin the background” on social media issues related to the Arab Spring. Another time, the whistleblower said, she expressed her own apparent surprise that she would ever use such tactics, developed for foreign nationals, against American citizens.

 

According to the whistleblower, roughly 12-20 active people involved in CTILworked at the FBI or CISA. β€œFor a while, they had their agency seals β€” FBI, CISA, whatever β€” next to your name,” on the Slack messaging service, said the whistleblower. Terp β€œhad a CISA badge that went away at some point,” the whistleblower said.

 

The ambitions of the 2020 pioneers of the Censorship Industrial Complex went far beyond simply urging Twitter to slap a warning label on Tweets, or to put individuals on blacklists.

 

The AMITT framework calls for discrediting individuals as a necessary prerequisite of demanding censorship against them. It calls for training influencers to spread messages. And it calls for trying to get banks to cut off financial services to individuals who organize rallies or events.The timeline of CISA’s work with CTIL leading up to its work with EIP and VP strongly suggests that the model for public-private censorship operations may have originated from a framework originally created by military contractors. What’s more, the techniques and materials outlined by CTIL closely resemble materials later created by CISA’s Countering Foreign Intelligence Task Force and Mis-, Dis-, and Maliformation team.

 

Over the next several days and weeks, we intend to present these documents to Congressional investigators, and will make public all of the documents we can while also protecting the identity of the whistleblower and other individuals who are not senior leaders or public figures.

 

But for now, we need to take a closer look at what happened in 2018 and 2019, leading up to the creation of CTIL, as well as this group’s key role in the formation and growth of the Censorship Industrial Complex.

What followed was an afternoon drink at the β€œJohn Wayne Saloon,” an invitation-only tavern operating unknown to senior commanders inside the headquarters of the U.S military command center critical to defending the homeland and keeping Americans safe.

 

The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, is located at Peterson Space Force Base, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs. It stands watch 24/7 defending the United States and Canada from attack by adversaries such as China, Russia and North Korea.

 

The day drinking at an installation tasked with safeguarding U.S. national security was worrying. The clandestine saloon at a base charged with crucial national security responsibility triggered alarms at high levels and led to the changes on site after USA TODAY raised questions.

 

A keypad with a code restricted access to the clandestine tavern, named after a poster of the iconic actor that was affixed to a door. No cellphones allowed. Inside the room in Building 2, six or seven bottles of top-shelf liquor, including bourbon and whisky, awaited. Nearby, lieutenant colonels and majors planned future NORAD operations. Also at hand: computers with access to the Pentagon’s secret email system.

 

The official who received the email left after one drink in the middle of 2022. Like several others interviewed by USA TODAY about daytime drinking at the command, the official spoke on condition of anonymity fearing reprisal. All of the officials, a mixture of uniformed and civilian, expressed unease, dismay or disgust at presence of alcohol and drinking at the command. It was designed, as one of the officials put it, to protect America from β€œits worst day.”

 

Air Force Gen. Glen VanHerck shuttered the bar last week after USA TODAY inquired about the allegations made by the officials. VanHerck, who also leads the associated U.S. Northern Command, ordered an investigation into the conditions that allowed NORAD officers to operate the off-the-books drinking establishment.

 

NORTHCOM, the entity charged with coordinating the Pentagon's response to attacks on the homeland and natural disasters, is also headquartered at Peterson Space Force Base. NORTHCOM and NORAD tracked and shot down the Chinese spy balloon that transited the United States and Canada early this year.

(Natural News)β€”JPMorgan Chase, America’s largest bank, will have shut down 159 branches across the country by the end of 2023.

 

For Chase Bank’s customers, these closures represent serious inconveniences, if not outright terrible disruptions to their lives. Services previously offered by human bank tellers and other banking professionals who used to staff these now-shuttered branches have now been replaced by automated customer service helplines. The latest data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation notes that approximately 8,000 bank branches were in operation in the U.S. in 2000. By 2022, this figure had been halved. Other Big Banks in America are also reporting dozens of bank closures, including the Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citibank.

 

According to data provided by the Bank of America to the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, the bank will be shutting down 138 locations. To date, at least 95 of those branches have already been closed. Fifteen more will shutter by the end of the year, and the remainder will stay open up to 2024.

 

Wells Fargo has closed 61 branches so far – a number expected to increase to 65 before December. A spokesperson for the company claims many of its customers are already taking advantage of β€œour wide range of digital capabilities for many of their banking needs.” As a result, fewer and fewer transactions are being carried out in person in branches.

The summer of 2023 was very significant for the travel industry. By the end of July, international tourist arrivals globally reached 84% of pre-pandemic levels. In some European countries, such as France, Denmark and Ireland, tourism demand even surpassed its pre-pandemic level.

 

This may be great news economically, but there’s concern that a return to the status quo is already showing dire environmental and social consequences.

 

The summer saw record-breaking heatwaves across many parts of the world. People were forced to flee wildfires in Greece and Hawaii, and extreme weather warnings were issued in many popular holiday destinations like Portugal, Spain and Turkey. Experts attributed these extreme conditions to climate change.

 

Tourism is part of the problem. The tourism sector generates around one-tenth of the greenhouse gas emissions that are driving the climate crisis.

 

The negative impacts of tourism on the environment have become so severe that some are suggesting drastic changes to our travel habits are inevitable. In a report from 2023 that analyzed the future of sustainable travel, tour operator Intrepid Travel proposed that β€œcarbon passports” will soon become a reality if the tourism industry hopes to survive.

 

What is a carbon passport?

The idea of a carbon passport centers on each traveler being assigned a yearly carbon allowance that they cannot exceed. These allowances can then β€œration” travel.

 

This concept may seem extreme. But the idea of personal carbon allowances is not new. A similar concept (called β€œpersonal carbon trading”) was discussed by UK Parliament in 2008, before being shut down because of to its perceived complexity and the possibility of public resistance.

 

The average annual carbon footprint for a person in the US is 16 tons – one of the highest rates in the world. In the UK this figure sits at 11.7 tons, still more than five times the figure recommended by the Paris Agreement to keep global temperature rise below 1.5 Celsius (2.7 Fahrenheit) above pre-industrial levels.

 

Globally, the average annual carbon footprint of a person is closer to 4 tons. But, to have the best chance of preventing temperature rise from overshooting 2 Celsius, the average global carbon footprint needs to drop to under two tons by 2050. This figure equates to around two roundtrip flights between London and New York.

 

Intrepid Travel’s report predicts that we will see carbon passports in action by 2040. However, several laws and restrictions have been put in place over the past year that suggest our travel habits may already be on the verge of change.

Targeting air travel

Between 2013 and 2018, the amount of COβ‚‚ emitted by commercial aircraft worldwide increased by 32%. Improvements in fuel efficiency are slowly reducing per passenger emissions. But research from 2014 found that whatever the industry’s efforts to reduce its carbon emissions, they will be outweighed by the growth in air traffic.

 

For emission reductions to have any meaningful effect, ticket prices would have to rise by 1.4% each year, discouraging some people from flying. However, in reality, ticket prices have been falling.

Scott Kempner, a guitarist and songwriter and a co-founder of the Dictators, one of the first punk rock bands, died on Wednesday. He was 69.

 

His death, at a nursing home in Connecticut, was confirmed by Rich Nesin, who managed his solo career. Mr. Kempner died from complications related to early onset dementia, Mr. Nesin said.

 

Born and raised in the Bronx, Mr. Kempner started his music career not long after he had graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. He was born Feb. 6, 1954, to Manny and Lynn Kempner.

 

In 1972, while visiting a friend who was in college in New Paltz, N.Y., Mr. Kempner started playing music with Andy Shernoff and Ross Friedman, who was known as the Boss, and together they created the Dictators.

That was when he earned the nickname, Top Ten. The band’s first album, β€œThe Dictators Go Girl Crazy,” was released in 1975, a year before the Ramones made their debut. The All Music Guide called the band β€œone of the finest and most influential proto-punk bands to walk the earth" but said that on its debut album, the group’s satire and β€œahead-of-their-time enthusiasm for wrestling, White Castle hamburgers, and television confused more kids than it converted.”

 

The band was dropped by its label, Epic, after its first album. It recorded two more albums, on the Elektra label, that failed to find a big audience, and the band split up, though the members occasionally reunited over the ensuing years.

 

After the breakup, Mr. Kempner founded the roots rock band the Del Lords and took the lead as chief singer and songwriter.

Astronauts often react with awe when they see the curvature of the Earth below the International Space Station. Now Mars scientists are getting a taste of what that’s like, thanks to NASA’s 2001 Mars Odyssey orbiter, which completed its 22nd year at the Red Planet last month.

 

The spacecraft captured a series of panoramic images that showcases the curving Martian landscape below gauzy layers of clouds and dust. Stitched end to end, the 10 images offer not only a fresh, and stunning, view of Mars, but also one that will help scientists gain new insights into the Martian atmosphere.

 

The spacecraft took the images in May from an altitude of about 250 miles (400 kilometers) – the same altitude at which the space station flies above Earth.

How It Was Done

 

The reason why the view is so uncommon is because of the challenges involved in creating it. Engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, which manages the mission, and Lockheed Martin Space, which built Odyssey and co-leads day-to-day operations, spent three months planning the THEMIS observations. The infrared camera’s sensitivity to warmth enables it to map ice, rock, sand, and dust, along with temperature changes, on the planet’s surface.

 

It can also measure how much water ice or dust is in the atmosphere, but only in a narrow column directly below the spacecraft. That’s because THEMIS is fixed in place on the orbiter; it usually points straight down.

 

The mission wanted a more expansive view of the atmosphere. Seeing where those layers of water-ice clouds and dust are in relation to each other – whether there’s one layer or several stacked on top of each other – helps scientists improve models of Mars’ atmosphere.

 

β€œI think of it as viewing a cross-section, a slice through the atmosphere,” said Jeffrey Plaut, Odyssey’s project scientist at JPL. β€œThere’s a lot of detail you can’t see from above, which is how THEMIS normally makes these measurements.

Ron DeSantis's Online Messaging Team Really Sucks

With a laundry list of legislative wins firmly tucked away under his gubernatorial belt, 2024 Republican presidential candidate and Governor Ron DeSantis is arguably the Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T) when it comes to past Florida governors, but his online messaging team sucks.

 

In my own opinion, and contrary to what many supporters of former President Donald Trump think, Gov. DeSantis is a very well-rounded and principled presidential candidate.

 

The problem DeSantis is having with voters across the nation is that he is running in a contested presidential primary race against a very popular former sitting U.S. president.

 

This has never happened before.

 

Second, while DeSantis has put together a really good team of advisors, including Ryan Tyson, James Uthmeier, David Polyansky, Sam Cooper, and Marc Reichelderfer,his communications and online team continue to be the weakest link in his political β€œfull armor of God” presidential campaign.

 

While communication advisors like Lindsey Curnotte and Bryan Griffin have done a very good job promoting and staffing DeSantis, Andrew Romeo and Christina Pushaw have managed to allow themselves to be taken off message, and have continued to embarrass DeSantis with their knuckleheaded and bird-brained statements on social media.

Pushaw, who recently ran for dear life after Laura Loomer confronted her at the Florida Freedom Summit, has become a huge liability for DeSantis, and even though DeSantis had reeled her in for making ill-advised social media posts, she is still on staff and appears to have been back to her old ways.

 

Loomer calls Pushaw a "paper tiger," accusing her of hiding behind a keyboard, and for helping to destroy DeSantis's online presence.

 

"When is he going to drop out? He’s polling at 8% nationally thanks to you. He can credit you for completely destroying his online influencer operation," said Loomer.

 

If DeSantis loses his race, regardless of how large of a margin he loses by,Pushaw will be seen as being a major contributing factor for his demise. (It apoears the tactics she learned in Ukraine and the EU doesn’t work here!)

 

Pushaw was managed to infuriate and offend every day Republican voters not just the "Magadonians" that make up a large portion of President Trump's base of support.

 

Just look at the really stupid move to createthe now-scrubbed Signal β€œWar Room Creative Ideas.”

 

Pushaw runs the DeSantis’s War Room” on β€œX” and DeSantis defended her actions of using anonymous online accounts and β€œinfluencers” to disseminate anti-Trump political propaganda.

 

The campaign’s director of rapid response, Christina Pushaw, told staffers to create more videos and sent content to anonymous accounts that were allied with the campaign.

 

In one case, Pushaw shared a clip of Trump at a Fox News town hall and asked if the group knew β€œany Anons who might want it.”

 

She added, β€œif we post it or a named influencer posts it, it might get noted.”

 

These are the same tactics DeSantis zombies, many of whom are aligned with Pushaw, have been bitching and moaning about, and have accuesed Trump influencers of indulging in.

 

Does DeSantis also condone Pushaw’s recent and idiotic attempt to dig at Trump at the expense of a Holocaust survivor?

 

In response to a CNN story about a woman who was sentenced to 51 months in prison for stealing $2.8 million from the Holocaust survivor, Pushaw tweeted, β€œTrump 2028 campaign is gonna hire her when she gets out.”

 

Pushaw’s tweet appears to be an attempt to jab President Trump regarding the tens of millions of dollars his Save America Super PAC has spent on the former president’s legal fees and the legal fees of others.

 

Tasteless.

 

The morning after we posted on Pushaw dumb move, several close donors and supporters of Trump called us to gripe about her lack of tact by posting the remark.

 

Both donors questioned why she hasn’t been fired.

Webb Telescope: A prominent protostar in Perseus

This new Picture of the Month from the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope reveals intricate details of the Herbig Haro object 797 (HH 797). Herbig-Haro objects are luminous regions surrounding newborn stars (known as protostars), and are formed when stellar winds or jets of gas spewing from these newborn stars form shockwaves colliding with nearby gas and dust at high speeds. HH 797, which dominates the lower half of this image, is located close to the young open star cluster IC 348, which is located near the eastern edge of the Perseus dark cloud complex. The bright infrared objects in the upper portion of the image are thought to host two further protostars.

 

This image was captured with Webb’s Near-InfraRed Camera (NIRCam). Infrared imaging is powerful in studying newborn stars and their outflows, because the youngest stars are invariably still embedded within the gas and dust from which they are formed. The infrared emission of the star’s outflows penetrates the obscuring gas and dust, making Herbig-Haro objects ideal for observation with Webb’s sensitive infrared instruments. Molecules excited by the turbulent conditions, including molecular hydrogen and carbon monoxide, emit infrared light that Webb can collect to visualise the structure of the outflows. NIRCam is particularly good at observing the hot (thousands of degree Celsius) molecules that are excited as a result of shocks.

 

Using ground-based observations, researchers have previously found that for cold molecular gas associated with HH 797, most of the red-shifted gas (moving away from us) is found to the south (bottom right), while the blue-shifted gas (moving towards us) is to the north (bottom left). A gradient was also found across the outflow, such that at a given distance from the young central star, the velocity of the gas near the eastern edge of the jet is more red-shifted than that of the gas on the western edge. Astronomers in the past thought this was due to the outflow’s rotation. In this higher resolution Webb image, however, we can see that what was thought to be one outflow is in fact made up of two almost parallel outflows with their own separate series of shocks (which explains the velocity asymmetries). The source, located in the small dark region (bottom right of center), and already known from previous observations, is therefore not a single but a double star. Each star is producing its own dramatic outflow. Other outflows are also seen in this image, including one from the protostar in the top right of center along with its illuminated cavity walls.

 

HH 797 resides directly north of HH 211 (separated by approximately 30 arcseconds), which was the feature of a Webb image release in September 2023.

Now, we are seeing online sleuths and investigative journalists allege that Zelensky owns several luxury yachts valued at $75 million through surrogatesβ€”meaning he owns the yachts via proxy buyers beholden to him.

 

One individual explained: β€œZelensky bought two luxury yachts for $75 million through surrogates.

 

From published memoranda of the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA), it became known about the acquisition of two superyachts – the 46-meter β€œLucky Me” and the 57-meter β€œMy Legacy” by the Shefir brothers, who are close to Zelensky

 

The first yacht was purchased for $25 million on October 18, the second – for almost $50 million on October 25, Russian Telegram channels wrote, citing articles in foreign publications as evidence.

 

Boris and Sergey Shefir, on whose behalf the purchases were made, are close friends and confidants of the President of Ukraine

 

Together with them, Zelensky founded the Kvartal-95 studio in 2003 and appointed the younger of the brothers, Sergey Shefir, as the first assistant to the President of Ukraine shortly after he won the elections and became the President on May 20, 2019.

 

There is every reason to believe that and the two purchases were made in the name of Sergey and Boris Shefir in order to hide the real owner of the yachts – Vladimir Zelensky

 

They have used similar schemes before. Back in 2021, the International Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime reported in its investigation that Sergey Shefir was involved in Zelensky’s so-called offshore network in the British Virgin Islands, Cyprus and Belize

 

This became known thanks to the disclosure by the international media of the so-called β€œPandora File”. A month before he won the election, Zelensky transferred his offshore assets to the name of Sergey Shefir.

 

It appears that a similar impersonation scheme was used in the purchase of yachts.

 

Despite the attempts of Western countries to bring financial aid to Ukraine under control, this has not yet happened, as evidenced by the constant corruption scandals in the highest echelons of power in Ukraine.”

Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley received a unique endorsement Tuesday from the mayor-elect of Charleston, South Carolina, as she continues to build on her momentum in the Republican presidential primary race.

 

William Cogswell, who recently became the first Republican to win Charleston's mayoral office since 1877, during the Reconstruction era, offered his endorsement to Haley, saying, β€œI’ve got to go with her.”

Despite some of these attacks, Haley has been able to maintain her upward momentum, beating DeSantis in several measures and tying him in others. DeSantis remains the second-place contender to Trump in national polling, however, according to Morning Consult.

 

It remains to be seen whether the prospect of her general election success will be enough to garner widespread GOP support in the New Hampshire primary and Iowa caucuses starting in January.

The Supreme Court of Russia outlawed the β€œinternational LGBT public movement” on Thursday, designating it an extremist group. The ruling affects the group’s subsidiaries as well, the court announced, without naming specific organizations.

 

The lawsuit was filed earlier this month by the Russian Justice Ministry, which argued that β€œthe LGBT movement’s” activities hadqualified it as an β€œextremist group.” Specifically, it has been sowing β€œsocial and religious discord” in the country, the ministry claimed.

 

The hearings took place behind closed doors and lasted over four hours as the case involved more than 20 tomes of material, RIA Novosti reported, citing the Supreme Court’s press service.No representatives of the β€œinternational LGBT movement” were present during the hearings, with only an attorney for the Justice Ministry in attendance.

China released new pictures of its Tiangong space station Tuesday as Chinese astronauts and space officials made a public relations visit to Hong Kong. These images, taken about a month ago, show the Tiangong complex in its fully assembled configuration with three modules staffed by three crew members.

 

A departing crew of three astronauts captured the new panoramic views of the Tiangong station in low-Earth orbit October 30, shortly after departing the outpost to head for Earth at the end of a six-month mission. These are the first views showing the Tiangong station after China completed assembling its three main modules last year.

 

The Tianhe core module is at the center of the complex. It launched in April 2021 with crew accommodations and life support systems for astronauts. Two experiment modules, named Wentian and Mengtian, launched in 2022. The first team of Chinese astronauts arrived at the station in June 2021, and Tiangong has been permanently staffed by rotating three-person crews since June 2022.

 

One of these crews closed out their six-month stint on the Tiangong station October 30. Their Shenzhou 16 ferry ship backed away from Tiangong, then autonomously flew a circle around the outpost as the astronauts floated near windows on their spacecraft with cameras "to complete a panoramic image of the space station assembly with the Earth as the background," the China Manned Space Agency said.

 

Tiangong's power-generating solar arrays dominate the views captured by the Shenzhou 16 astronauts. These solar panels span more than half the length of a football field, end to end.

 

It turns out China may not be finished constructing the Tiangong station. In remarks last month, officials outlined plans to add three more pressurized compartments to expand China's space station in the coming years.

 

Tiangong, which means "heavenly palace," will become a hub for experiments, technology demonstrations, spacecraft assembly, and satellite servicing, said Zhang Qiao, a researcher at the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST). CAST is part of the web of state-owned contractors that build rockets and spacecraft for China's space program.

 

β€œWe will build a 180 (metric) tons, six-module assembly in the future," Zhang said at the International Astronautical Congress last month.

 

In its current configuration, Tiangong has a mass of about 69 metric tons, not including visiting crew and cargo vehicles. That's about one-sixth the mass of the larger International Space Station, created under a partnership between the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan, and Canada. Chinese officials claim their space station, though significantly smaller than the ISS, has nearly as much capacity for scientific experiments.

 

"This indicates that the Tiangong space station has high application support efficiency," Chinese space engineers wrote in a paper published earlier this year in Space: Science & Technology, an open access journal and sister publication of the journal Science.

 

Now, China is making a longer-term commitment to the Tiangong program, with a blueprint for doubling the size of the space station. Chinese space officials originally said the space station would operate for 10 years. Last month, officials said the lifetime would now extend to 15 years or longer.

 

This means the Tiangong space station will continue operating at least until the mid-2030s, several years after the planned decommissioning of the International Space Station in 2030, more than 30 years after the launch of the oldest ISS module. NASA's strategy is to partner with commercial industry to develop a smaller space station to replace the ISS in low-Earth orbit. The idea is that a commercial space station would be cheaper to operate than the ISS, and NASA and other government space agencies could buy access to the privately owned outpost for astronauts and scientific experiments.

Speaking at a press conference following a meeting of foreign ministers of the NATO-Ukraine Council, Szijjartocalled for an end to deliveries of lethal aid to Ukraine, warning that such assistance has the potential to spark an escalation of the conflict.

 

He noted that while Hungary supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev is β€œnot Europe’s fight” and is not about peace and democracy in Europe.

 

β€œUkraine is fighting for itself, for its own territorial integrity, its own sovereignty and its own independence, which we value very much, because it is a heroic fight, of course, but I say again, this is not our war, which is why we reject any approach that starts from this,” Szijjarto said.

 

He added that NATO membership for Ukraine should be out of the question given the current circumstances. He noted that Kiev’s accession to the bloc is not even an option given that countries at war cannot be accepted. Such a move would put the alliance itself in danger andcould potentially spark a world war, the minister said.

 

The second reason, according to Szijjarto, is the fact that NATO is a β€œcommunity of values,”which has no place for a state that β€œconstantly suppresses the rights of national minorities.”

 

Budapest has repeatedly accused Kiev of suppressing the right of the nearly 150,000 ethnic Hungarians living in Ukraine to speak their own language by introducing laws requiring that Ukrainian be spoken in public life, school, the media, as well as in offices.

 

Despite assurances from Kiev that a bill has already been drafted to address the issue, Szijjarto insisted that simple promises are meaningless and that Hungary only believes in fully adopted and implemented legislation.

 

β€œYou can’t lead us or mislead us with statements,” he said.

 

Szijjarto’s statement comes after NATO promised on Wednesday that it will β€œdevelop a roadmap toward Ukraine’s full interoperability”with the bloc’s militaries but stopped short of offering any membership prospects for Kiev.
