Medvedev denounces Zelensky’s ‘territorial claims’ to Russia

Kiev is really trying to draw public attention away from its frontline setbacks, the former Russian president said

The latest decree by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky essentially amounts to “territorial claims” on sovereign Russian regions, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday. Posting on Telegram, he was referring to a document declaring six Russian regions to be “historically inhabited by Ukrainians.”

Signed on Monday, Ukraine’s Day of Unity, the presidential decree claims that six territories that are universally recognized as a part of Russia – the Krasnodar, Rostov, Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions – had been “historically” populated by “ethnic Ukrainians” that were then supposedly subjected to “forced Russification.”

The document then orders the Kiev government to develop an “action plan” to “preserve” the Ukrainian national identity in Russia and demands the “true history” of Ukraine be made known to the “world.” It also demands Russia provide people living in these regions with access to Ukrainian-language mass media and to some special “civil, social, cultural and religious rights.”

Medvedev dismissed the decree as a “crude PR stunt” aimed at drawing public attention away from the Ukrainian forces’ failures on the front lines. He also said there was even no need to comment on the contents of the order, since the territories mentioned in it have always been part of Russia.

The former president (2008-2012) also said it was high time Zelensky “stopped” such policies and abandoned them, or he might end up “annexing Canada in the near future.”

Zelensky himself described signing the decree as a way to promote “truth about Ukrainians… and their history.” He also claimed that it was aimed at “restoring the truth about the historical past for the Ukrainian future.”

The Russian regions mentioned in the decree have been regularly subjected to drone and missile attacks as well as shelling by the Ukrainian troops. In December, Belgorod – the capital of one of the regions supposedly “historically inhabited by Ukrainians” – was struck by a major Ukrainian attack. The strike claimed the lives of 25 people, including children. The Russian Defense Ministry also said that Kiev’s forces used banned cluster munitions in an attack targeting the city center just a day before New Year’s Eve celebrations.

MSNBC host Joy Reid has been branded an 'idiot' after criticizing the co-founder of Moms for Liberty for advocating the ban of a book featuring graphic sex from schools.

The progressive anchor attacked Tiffany Justice over her 'expertise' in questioning the propriety of the memoir All Boys Aren't Blue, a title that has been banned in 29 districts across the country.

'What is the expertise that you have and other Moms for Liberty advocates have to decide that a book, an award-winning book … isn't appropriate for students read,' Reid said.

Justice shot back: 'In what context is a strap-on dildo acceptable for public school, I mean that's my question to you.'

Reid refused to answer that question, instead claiming Justice was unable to name the author George M. Johnson. Justice did, in fact, know the first name of the author.

Johnson's 'memoir-manifesto' includes a chapter which deals with sexual abuse he suffered as a child, including by a member of his own family. It features graphic descriptions of sex including lube, dildos and anal penetration.

Reid's interview was seized upon by Megyn Kelly who posted on X: 'This idiot actually wanted to know what "expertise" Tiffany Justice has to object to minors in school reading about strap-on dildos & incestual pedophilia.'

Reid told Justice during the interview: 'What I am saying to you is you are not an expert in this book.'

Justice replied: 'I don't have to be an expert to know that dildos are not appropriate for public school, I mean come on let's get real.'

Reid asked why shouldn't a parent whose child might feel seen by this story have the right to let them read it.

Justice countered with saying if a child feels seen by this story that means they have been a victim of a predator.

Reid then accused her of claiming to be an expert again and asked her for proof that a child had been raped.

A central chapter of All Boys Aren't Blue focuses on sexual abuse author Johnson experienced around age 13.

In September, Senator John Kennedy read a passage from the memoir during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

He quoted the book verbatim, telling the hearing: 'I'd put some lube on and got him on his knees, and I began to slide into him from behind. I pulled out of him and kissed him while he masturbated. He asked me to turn over while he slipped a condom on himself.

'This was my a** and I was struggling to imagine someone inside me. He got on top and slowly inserted himself into me. It was the worst pain I think I have ever felt in my life. Eventually, I felt a mix of pleasure with the pain.'

The political divide in this country has escalated to alarming levels, and sadly, it shows no signs of slowing down. The Uniparty regime thrives on keeping Americans at each other’s throats, believing that the more chaos, the better. When corporate America decided to wade into the political arena, things took a really dark turn. Their obsessive support of crooked organizations like BLM and the radical and perverted LGBTQ+ agenda has transformed corporations into instruments of the left. They’ve become political heat-seeking missiles, targeting the American people with precision and intent. In the hysterical Trump era, where the Biden regime behaves as authoritarian as North Korea, American companies are mirroring this disturbing behavior by zeroing in on conservatives with animosity, hostility, and abuse. Take a look at what happened with United Airlines and Texas Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw and his wife. You don’t have to be a fan of Crenshaw’s RINO politics to find this treatment outrageous. It’s clear that he’s being targeted due to his politics because no company that wants to stay in business should treat loyal customers this way.

It all kicked off with Crenshaw’s wife and their dog at the airport. That’s when a ticketing agent completely abandoned all professionalism and treated Mrs. Crenshaw like a domestic terrorist. The situation took an even stranger turn when it came to the Crenshaw family pet. After Dan watched the video, he quickly reached out to a higher-up at United. Brace yourself, because the treatment Rep. Crenshaw received will likely leave your jaw on the floor. Think about this: if they treat a US congressman, someone with a significant platform and the ability to create laws, in this manner, just imagine what they’ll do to a lowly “peasant.”

This couldn’t have come at a worse time for United Airlines. They’re already dealing with a major scandal, thanks to their radical CEO, Scott Kirby, who’s known for his penchant for cross-dressing. It appears that Kirby places more importance on wearing women’s pantyhose than on prioritizing safety and customer service. Revolver has reported extensively on Kirby and United’s nose-dive into Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and the LGBTQ+ madness that is choking this nation.

Have you noticed? The US aviation industry is crashing, both literally and figuratively. It’s like we’re watching the whole airline sector fall apart at the seams: pilots passing away out of the blue, passengers turning flights into WWE-style brawls, doors and windows blowing off mid-flight, and air traffic controllers resorting to Google for on-the-spot training. Words and drugs have the same means of action

ABSTRACT

"The therapeutic effects of words, rituals and, more in general, of the whole psychosocial context around the patient, have been investigated over the past few years by using the placebo response as a model. Today we are in a good position to study all these complex psychological factors by using a physiological and neuroscientific approach that uses modern neurobiological tools to probe different brain functions. Since a placebo is represented by the whole ritual of the therapeutic act, the main concept that has emerged today is that words and rituals may modulate the same biochemical pathways that are modulated by drugs. Most of our knowledge about these mechanisms comes from the field of pain, and represents a biomedical, psychological and philosophical enterprise that is changing the way we approach and interpret medicine, psychology and human biology. If on the one hand we know some of the mechanisms of drug action in the central nervous system, on the other we can now understand how the therapist’s words may affect different physiological functions. In fact, the placebo effect and the therapist–patient relationship can be approached by using the same biochemical, cellular and physiological tools of the materia medica. Although the responses to the therapist’s words cannot be reduced merely to the action of a single drug, this represents an epochal transition, in which the distinction between psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy is progressively getting thinner, and which helps us overcome the old dichotomy between psychology and biology."
