Hunter Biden’s legal defense has a problem: The patron paying the bills is running out of cash

Kevin Morris, a Hollywood entertainment lawyer who has loaned millions to the president’s son, has told associates he is tapped out.

Less than a month before the start of his first trial, Hunter Biden may be losing a key financial lifeline.

Kevin Morris, a Hollywood entertainment lawyer who has long supported the president’s son, has told associates that he has run out of resources to help fund Biden’s legal defense, according to a person close to Morris who was granted anonymity to discuss private conversations.

“The reason Kevin got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter,” said the person. “Now, four and a half years later, there’s still no help — and now Kevin is completely tapped out. So just when Hunter is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks, he has no resources. It’s pretty dire.”

Reached for comment about this reporting, Morris confirmed the person’s account but declined to elaborate further. A spokesperson for Biden’s legal team also declined to comment.

Biden is scheduled to begin trial on June 3 on federal gun charges in Delaware. A separate case, in which Biden is charged with federal tax crimes, is scheduled to go to trial June 20 in California.

Morris has played a key role in handling Biden’s legal bills, as he detailed in an interview with lawmakers in January. The possibility that Morris can no longer serve as a benefactor is the latest sign of the tumult surrounding the president’s son in the final weeks of preparation for two trials that he — and his father — had hoped would never happen.

The person close to Morris said that the Hollywood lawyer faces financial constraints that present “a huge problem” and that there are concerns about how Biden will pay for expert witnesses to testify for him at his Delaware trial. It is unclear precisely how much Morris has spent thus far to support Biden, but in aJanuary letter to the House oversight committee, Morris’ lawyer said Morris had loaned Biden more than $6.5 million.

At a pretrial hearing on Tuesday in Wilmington, Biden’s lead defense attorney, Abbe Lowell, signaled that the preparation for the first trial — on charges that Biden illegally bought a gun as a drug user and lied about it on a government form — is facing headwinds. As the hearing opened, Lowell told Judge Maryellen Noreika that for the first time in his long career, he wasn’t ready for a trial to start. He noted the complexity of Biden’s legal situation: two trials looming within weeks of each other, and appeals proceedings already underway in both jurisdictions.

Lowell told Noreika that he and his team have been preparing for the trial, but that one hurdle was finding expert witnesses to testify on a variety of evidentiary issues, including drug addiction and forensics. He said he found three experts who had “tentatively agreed” to get involved but that he was still working to finalize retention agreements for these people.

Experts who testify for defendants at trials can bill $500 per hour or more for their work. They can rebut the analysis that government experts provide about evidence presented at trial.

Lowell described having strained “resources” to handle preparation for two trials — currently scheduled to start in the same month — on two different coasts.

But the judge was unmoved, and declined his requests for the trial to be postponed.

It’s not clear how much Lowell, or the other lawyers working on Biden’s cases, are charging for their services. In other recent cases, Lowell has sought fees of $855 per hour and over $1,500 per hour.

Morris and Biden met in 2019 during now-President Biden’s campaign. They both were raised in the mid-Atlantic in Roman Catholic families, and immediately developed a close bond. At the time, Biden was trying to get his life on track and stay sober. Morris helped him get safe housing and pay his overdue tax bill. In his January interview with congressional investigators, Morris said he and Biden spoke every day and were like family.

CNN reported in October that Biden has racked up more than $10 million in legal bills over the years. Since becoming sober several years ago, the president’s son has focused on painting as his occupation. He signed with a New York gallerist, Georges Berges, to sell his work. But that gallerist told congressional investigators that the relationship was not as lucrative as he had hoped, and that Biden’s art would have sold for more if not for the baggage associated with his name.

“Had his name been somebody else, he would have been doing a lot better,” Berges said in his testimony. “I have artists that I don’t think are as good that are selling for higher than he is. And so it’s actually — I feel bad for him in so many ways because I think he’s a great artist, and he just can’t get a break.”

Of about 20 pieces of art Biden sold with Berges’ gallery, 11 works were sold to Morris, he said. Morris purchased the art by paying the gallery’s commission for the sale, and Biden’s share was handled without the gallery.

Berges also told lawmakers he stopped representing Biden last year.

“From a business perspective, it hasn’t been the best decision for me,” he said.

On Monday, a press conference was held to launch a Japanese national movement against WHO’s pandemic plans. Organisers also announced a protest against WHO’s plans to take place on 31 May, the second last day of the World Health Assembly meeting to adopt the amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) and the Pandemic Treaty.

As Japan mobilises for what promises to be a historic gathering, the message is clear – this is not just Japan’s fight.

Colin Albert’s getaway driver Allie McCabe stole the show at Day 12 of the Karen Read trial, and was exposed as quite possibly the biggest liar of all the McAlberts. It began when Auntie Bev allowed this ridiculous screenshot of a purported text conversation between Allie McCabe and Colin Albert on January 29, 2022 into evidence:

In August the McAlberts began to push the narrative that Colin Albert wasn’t inside Brian Albert’s house when John O’Keefe arrived, even though it wouldn’t matter if he was if Karen Read was the one who killed him outside. In a desperate PR push Chris Albert and Jennifer McCabe submitted that text message to Boston Magazine “reporter” Gretchen Voss, who blindly accepted it as proof that Colin had left Brian Albert’s house at 12:10, shortly before John and Karen arrived. If Gretchen was an actual journalist who sought truth she would’ve recognized the many glaring issues with the text:

This is not verification that Colin sent Allie McCabe a message. You can change the name of any contact to make this fit. Allie McCabe could have been picking up anyone. How do we know this isn’t one of her friends she picked up?

Why does it not say January 29 on the 12:10 AM message? iPhones automatically show a new date every time a text starts on a new day. This means the entire thing is blatantly altered.

If this is in fact Colin Albert, then how did he get TO the house? And why does Allie McCabe act as his personal chauffeur during a blizzard?

Boston Magazine was sent this screenshot by Chris Albert. They did not examine Colin or Allie’s phone or ask for a data extraction report.

Colin tells her “u can get me now,” and then she says “here” at 12:10. But where is “here?” This could easily be interpreted as Allie picking Colin up at his house to bring him TO 34 Fairview Road, not from 34 Fairview Road. Why would Colin be at the house BEFORE his fun aunts and uncles arrived, and leave the minute they got there? Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense if Colin, who isn’t old enough to go to the bars, made plans with Allie to go to 34 Fairview Road after their parents left the bar? This would put him in the house minutes before John O’Keefe arrived.

Colin and Allie McCabe don’t text again until February 20, when she suddenly says “on a zoom?” Are we to believe that after his neighbor was found dead on his uncle’s lawn, and someone was arrested for allegedly running him over just 10 minutes after he supposedly left there with Allie McCabe, and it was ALL OVER the news, that the two of them NEVER spoke about this? Today the Commonwealth continued their defense of Colin Albert. They are doing this because they are incapable of showing the jury that Karen Read killed John O’Keefe, and if she didn’t do it then someone else did. This entire charade isn’t about convicting Karen Read, it’s about protecting the McAlberts.

Allie McCabe took the stand and attempted to explain how she picked Colin up at 12:10 and had him home by 12:20. This directly contradicts Chris Albert’s testimony, who said that Colin arrived home closer to 12:45. Allie told David Yannetti that she went home after dropping Colin off, arriving around 12:30, and stayed there the rest of the night.

But for months we’ve been hearing about how Life 360 data from Allie McCabe’s phone would further confirm that she had Colin home by 12:20. The McAlbert Mafia PR team put their full faith in Adam Lally to show this Life 360 data and exonerate Colin once and for all:

“They’re gonna back this up with the Life 360.”

Well, the Life 360 data was entered into evidence, but it was the defense that did so, and it showed that Allie McCabe is a pathological liar protecting Colin Albert. When confronted with the data showing she left her home at 12:26, which directly contradicted her story about dropping Colin off at 12:20 and arriving at her home at 12:30 where she remained the rest of the night, she had no explanation other than “No,” and “I don’t believe so.”

Whenever these people are confronted with cellular data proving their complicity in John O’Keefe’s murder they pull a Shaggy by saying “it wasn’t me.” They have no explanation other than the data is wrong.

Allie was confronted with more data showing that she left her home again at 1:08 AM, and was still out on the road at 1:28 AM. Her only explanation was “I don’t believe so,” before asking Yannetti to look at the data. Unfortunately for her he brought receipts.

Yannetti asked her if the data refreshed her memory, to which she replied “No.” Further data showed that she didn’t arrive at home until 1:30, which she claimed she couldn’t do because it would’ve taken her longer than 2 minutes to get from the high school to her house.

It is a 6 minute drive.

But Life 360 uses “bubbles” near a landmark like the high school. It doesn’t mean she was at the high school itself at that time. Either way, the fact that she was moving around at all at 1:28 proves that she lied under oath about getting home and staying there at 12:30.

If Allie McCabe left her home at 12:26 it would align perfectly with a phone call she received from someone inside 34 Fairview Road telling her to come and get Colin out of the house. It would also align with Chris Albert’s testimony that Colin arrived home close to 12:45. It would also align with Colin calling Erin Beatty at 12:33 to try to establish an alibi. Here’s a screenshot of him doing that, which Chris Albert tried to get Erin Beatty’s father to destroy.

Perhaps the biggest blunder was when Allie McCabe looked at the jury and pleaded with them that Colin Albert wasn’t inside the house, but accidentally admitted for the first time that John O’Keefe was inside Brian Albert’s house.

This led to the most egregious part of the day when Judge Cannone allowed Allie McCabe to cry about “harassment” from Turtleboy because the defense had “opened the door” to the subject. Except it was Adam Lally who opened the door by asking about the fake harassment, which led to Allie pouring on the fake tears:

There is no way the jury is buying her bullshit. They saw her get confronted with undeniable evidence that she lied under oath. Crying was her only defense, because that’s what the McAlberts always do – cheat, lie, and bully people before whining and pretending that they’re the victims. Her mother taught her well when she applied for and was denied a harassment prevention order against me after Judge Walsh ruled that my activism and journalism was free speech. But Judge Cannone is fully invested in protecting the McAlberts and has bought into the lie that peacefully protesting cop killers is “harassment.”

Apple health data showing John O’Keefe ascending and descending stairs from 12:21 to 12:24.

Phone calls between Brian Albert and Brian Higgins at 2:22 AM when they were both allegedly sleeping.

Answered phone calls from Jen McCabe to Nicole Albert at 6:07 and 6:08 AM that Nicole says went to voicemail.

Michael Cohen's Former Lawyer Shatters His Testimony

While testifying before a House committee on Wednesday, Robert Costello, a lawyer who previously represented Michael Cohen, spilled the beans on a number of things that seriously damaged the unprecedented “hush money” case against Donald Trump.

Among the things he revealed included the allegation that Cohen told him “I swear to God, I don’t have anything on Donald Trump."

Costello criticized Cohen’s testimony on the stand as “full of lies,” stating “I read Michael Cohen’s testimony from yesterday’s trial in New York on the way down on the train and virtually every statement he made about me was another lie."

Costello also revealed that Cohen reportedly told him he didn’t believe Stormy Daniels’ claim about her alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, and said that Cohen worried about the story being embarrassing to Melania Trump if Daniels went public with it. Costello said Cohen told him the money for Daniels was obtained through a Home Equity Line of Credit to conceal the source of the money. By contrast, Cohen claimed in court that Trump signed the check given to Daniels.

Costello blamed Cohen turning against Trump on him feeling “betrayed” for not being offered a White House job.

North Carolina could ban face masks for medical reasons in public

The North Carolina state Senate voted along party lines Wednesday to ban anyone from wearing masks in public, even for health reasons.

Republican supporters of the ban said it would help law enforcement crack down on protesters who wear masks. They say demonstrators are abusing COVID-19 pandemic-era practices to hide their identities following a wave of pro-Palestine protests nationwide and at North Carolina universities.

The bill goes even further and repeals an exception that’s been state law since the early stages of the pandemic that allows people to wear masks in public for health and safety reasons.

Thirty senators voted in favor of House Bill 237, while 15 opposed it and five were absent.

Democrats raised concerns about the bill, particularly for those who are immunocompromised or those who may want to continue to wear masks during cancer treatments, WRAL News reported.

State Sen. Sydney Batch (D) is a cancer survivor and shared with her fellow senators how her family wore masks to protect her and her weakened immune system during treatment.

She and other Democrats proposed ways to amend the bill so police could still crack down on protesters but continue to have legal protections for health concerns, but they were shot down, the outlet reported.

GOP Sen. Buck Newton brushed off the concerns, saying no one saw “Granny getting arrested in the Walmart pre-COVID” and thinks law enforcement will use “good common sense” when applying the law, The Associated Press (AP) reported.

The AP noted that the state’s general statutes on masking date back to the 1950s in an attempt to curb Ku Klux Klan membership, when the state passed a public masking ban.

Under the bill, if a person is arrested for protesting while masked, it would elevate the classification of a person’s crime, either a misdemeanor or felony, to one class higher.

Equally as repulsive is the fact that hospitals knowingly signed off on this infanticide medical product.

Of course, not all is doom and gloom. We have brave voices like Dr. James Thorp and Dr. Naomi Wolf speaking out, pulling their data straight from the pharmaceutical companies’ own trials, straight from the governments’ own databases.

Others have been pinpointing the numerous adverse events in the neonatal and fetal categories, everything from spontaneous abortion to fetal tachycardia.
