Back in the day, I was a DB admin.

I hated it.

One problem with DB's is that they are prone to fuck up. Most of the time, the only fix is to delete the old one and make a new one, then populate the new DB with your backup.

It is not as fun as it sounds and depending on how much data you have, it can be a long and tedious process.

This is why 8chan says it is not responsible for your data. They are not going to back your data up and replace it.

It may be possible for CM to come up with a workaround. We will have to see.

If the DB was messed with, CM would have already informed BO of that problem, so I doubt nefarious activities are responsible.

If you treat your desires and hopes as things that have already happened, just at a future date, and truly believe this, you will find it will actually occur. (1) intentionally accesses without authorization a facility through which an electronic communication service is provided; or

(2) intentionally exceeds an authorization to access that facility;

and thereby obtains, alters, or prevents authorized access to a wire or electronic communication while it is in electronic storage in such system shall be punished as provided in subsection (b) of this section.

(b)Punishment.โ€”The punishment for an offense under subsection (a) of this section isโ€”

(1)if theย offenseย is committed for purposes of commercial advantage, malicious destruction or damage, or private commercial gain, or in furtherance of any criminal or tortious act in violation of the Constitution or laws of theย United Statesย or any Stateโ€”

(A) a fine under this title or imprisonment for not more than 5 years, or both, in the case of a firstย offenseย under this subparagraph; and

(B) a fine under this title or imprisonment for not more than 10 years, or both, for any subsequentย offenseย under this subparagraph; and

WASHINGTON (AP) โ€” The next Supreme Court justice will join the bench at a time when the public has relatively more confidence in the high court than in Congress or the presidency.

 

A Gallup survey in June found that 37 percent of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the court, while another 42 percent had โ€œsomeโ€ confidence. Only 18 percent had little or no confidence.

 

Those are sterling marks compared with the courtโ€™s neighbor on Capitol Hill: Just 11 percent of Americans say they have confidence in Congress, and nearly half say they have little or none.

 

Confidence in the White House is on par with that of the Supreme Court โ€” though 44 percent of Americans have little or no confidence in the presidency.

When President Trump's political obituary is written, you can bet the decision he makes Monday about a Supreme Court justice will be pretty high up. The person Trump will nominate at 9 p.m. is in line to create a clear 5-to-4 conservative majority on the nation's highest court.

 

But much like his entire presidency, there are no assurances it will go smoothly. Trump will nominate a justice who could set the course of the country for years and decades to come โ€” for good or ill, depending upon your viewpoint โ€” but a late development this weekend reinforces that the decision isn't destined to be a home run.

 

Trump said Sunday that his pick was down to four people โ€” apparently re-adding 2017 runner-up Thomas Hardiman to the reported final three of Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett and Raymond Kethledge. Kavanaugh and Barrett have been thought to be the two front-runners, but some conservatives have balked at Kavanaugh and others have worried that Barrett could risk what should be a successful nomination.
