The experiments involved sexually stimulating young boys around the clock to determine how many orgasms they would have in 24 hours. They also included testing the sexual appetite of women and children before and after lobotomy, which is a horrific and inhumane practice.

The Kinsey Institute, located at Indiana University, was at the centre of these experiments. The Institute was defunded in 2023 due to the efforts of Purple for Parents United which worked to educate the public and put pressure on legislators to take action.

Pentagon investigating UFO whistleblower claims

The Defense Department confirms it is investigating claims made by government contractor Jake Barber on NewsNation that he helped the military retrieve UFO technology.

Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart, who interviewed Barber at length about his background and experiences, says the development could lead to a greater understanding of UFOs, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).

That’s if the government is forthcoming with its findings, he added.

“It’s an incremental step forward,” Coulthart told “NewsNation Prime” on Sunday.

Coulthart notes that Jon T. Kosloski, director of the Defense Department’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), has indicated his office is talking with whistleblowers like Barber while cautioning he’s limited in what he can say publicly.

“A lot depends on the degree of transparency and openness that’s permitted by the Pentagon, and a lot of that hangs on the new administration,” Coulthart said, referring to President Donald Trump.

“It really does rest with the president and also, to some degree, with the Congress whether or not we’re going to get any movement on any further disclosure about this alleged covert program.”

Barber said he flew helicopters during secret government missions to retrieve what may have been alien technology.

In one instance, he said, he transported a white, egg-shaped object the size of an SUV.

On another occasion, he observed a flying disc with eight discernible edges, something he referred to as an “eightgon.”

NewsNation has confirmed that Barber was an airman in the U.S. Air Force who worked as an aerospace mechanic in the late 1990s.

Later, he went on to work in a nonofficial capacity for the Defense Department and the intelligence community.

Although Coulthart is excited at the prospect of learning more about potential nonhuman technology, he added the federal government traditionally has not been forthcoming.

“So far, I’m a little bit skeptical, but we’ll wait and see,” he said.

Judge Blocks Education Department, OPM From Sharing Data With DOGE

A federal judge on Feb. 24 blocked two agencies from sharing sensitive information with employees of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“The U.S. Department of Education; Denise L. Carter, the Acting Secretary of Education; and their officers, agents, servants, employees, and attorneys are ENJOINED from disclosing the personally identifiable information of the plaintiffs and the members of the plaintiff organizations to any DOGE affiliates,” U.S. District Judge Deborah L. Boardman wrote in a 33-page order.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and its employees are also forbidden from disclosing the same information to DOGE workers, the judge said.

The temporary restraining order is in effect until March 10 as the case proceeds. It could be extended, converted into a preliminary injunction, or allowed to expire.

The American Federation of Teachers and other groups recently asked the court to block officials with the OPM, Department of Education (DOE), and U.S. Department of Treasury from conveying sensitive records to DOGE employees.

Allowing DOGE access to the records endangers the privacy rights of veterans and other people represented by the groups, the organizations said in their request to the federal court in Maryland.

Government lawyers argued that the judge should reject the motion for a restraining order because government officials have not violated the plaintiffs’ privacy.

“At the heart of Plaintiffs’ theory is the baseless allegation that ‘DOGE representatives’ at the Defendant agencies are somehow outside the category of federal employees, or outside the category of federal employees in their respective agencies. Sotheby’s To Hold ‘Area_51’ Auction Of UFO-Themed Watches

For the second consecutive year Sotheby’s Geneva is holding a special thematic auction of watches in collaboration with the creative watch collective, heist-out.

The upcoming sale is titled, “Area_51,” with the emphasis placed on UFO-themed watches. The sale coincides with the upcoming Watches and Wonders horology fair in Geneva.

This new event follows “Rough Diamonds,” an exhibition and auction of unconventional avant-garde timepieces held in April 2024 inside a wine cave in Geneva, also during Watches and Wonders.

All 24 lots on offer sold out in less than an hour, with the majority achieving far above their high estimates.

With Area_51, Sotheby’s and heist-out, founded by Maxime Couturier and Lorenzo Maillard, are moving the Rough Diamonds concept into space with a UFO-themed watch exhibition beginning on April 1, followed by an evening reception on April 2 and a live auction of 51 lots on April 3.

Unlike Rough Diamonds which presented just vintage lots, Area_51 will include vintage watches, contemporary watches and two new references by Furlan Marri and Toledano & Chan, designed and produced as unique pieces specifically for the sale.

The watch from Furlan Marri is a unique variation of its Disco Volante series that features a tantalum case, marking the first time the brand is using this metal.

Its estimate is 6,000 CHF – 12,000 CHF $6,681 – $13,363). The Toledano & Chan piece is a unique take on its trademark architectural watch designs with an of estimate 8,000 CHF – 12,000 CHF ($8,909 - $13,363).

“After the tremendous success of Rough Diamonds, which went beyond our expectations, we were keen to revisit this iconoclastic format and client experience,” Manon Hagie, Sotheby’s watch specialist, who oversaw the curation of Area_51, said in a statement.

“Our imperative was to ensure they were different, whilst retaining their essence. This year the selection is much bigger.

Last year’s theme took us to the depths of the earth, and this year’s theme – extraterrestrial wristwear – blasts us onto a galactic journey filled with out-of-this-world watches.”

The three-day event will be held at la Salle Trocmé, a cultural venue that the organizers say has the appearance of a “crash-landed UFO in Geneva.”

They promise a “fully immersive experience,” transforming the exhibition area and auction saleroom “into a top-secret alien research station.”

Area_51 is named after the infamous, highly classified U.S. military base in the Nevada desert where some believe the U.S. government is hiding evidence of extraterrestrial life.

The curation of the auction is said to be based on “seemingly alien designs and materials” that “appear to have been created on another planet.” I’ll let you be the judge of this.

The timepieces on sale range from 2,000 CHF to 200,000 CHF ($2,227 - $222,727).

As one would expect, brands such as Urwerk, MB&F, De Bethune and Gérald Genta are well represented, but so are more wewll-known watch brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex and Audemars Piguet.

There’s Another Reason Flights Have Been So Messed Up Lately: UFO Sightings

Amid a terrifying spate of plane crashes — and increasing public interest and political visibility around unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings — an uptick in mysterious objects and crafts seen by airline pilots seems to be making plane travel even more anxiety-inducing.

According to the English-language Turkish outlet Turkiye Today, air traffic was temporarily suspended at an airport in Gaziantep — Turkey's sixth-largest city — after a pilot spotted a bizarre unidentified flying object at roughly 10,000 feet in the sky.

The UFO in question was lit up and did not appear on radar, the news site indicated. In a video purporting to show the strange object, a strange pulsating light is seen hidden behind overcast clouds.

Though an unnamed aviation expert told Turkiye Today that it could have been a drone, the aviation account that posted the video noted in a translation of the post text that there hasn't been any additional information released about the source of the mysterious lights.

The Gaziantep Airport flight suspensions came less than a month after multiple UFO sightings in the airspace above Istanbul raised alarms among aviators, Turkiye Today also reported — and similarly strange sightings have occurred in recent months, all over the world.

Back in December, Newsweek reported that two pilots saw strange crafts "zipping" through the night sky above Oregon.

According to leaked cabin audio heard by the magazine's reporters, an air traffic controller advised one of the pilots to "maneuver as necessary… to avoid the UFO out there."

When Newsweek contacted the Federal Aviation Administration for verification, the agency admitted that a pilot did report "seeing unidentified lights" while flying near Seattle.

Just a few weeks prior, the Daily Mail reported that pilots with both American and Spirit Airlines said they saw strange, fast, and bright objects moving near their planes as they flew into the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) airport — and as with the recent sighting in Turkey, the UFOS did not show on anyone's flight radar.

"We are following these two lights that are up above us that are kind of jogging back-and-forth, left and right, for the past, like, half hour," the American Airlines pilot told air traffic controllers at the DFW airport, per audio leaked to the Daily Mail.

In another clip shared with the site, the Spirit pilot made similar claims and said they had been "watching [the objects] for about an hour or two in the northwest sky."

"The lights were quite a bit above us on the horizon," the AA pilot later explained to the DM. "My first thought was satellites, but they kept getting super bright and [going] away over and over."

The Spirit pilot, meanwhile, told the air traffic controllers that the UFOS he saw were moving "real quick" and seemed to be roughly "100 miles out in space."

In that instance as well as the others, there's still no official explanation for what the heck was going on.

It's obvious that pilots are spooked by what's going on out there — and if the professionals in charge of ferrying us to and from our destinations are getting scared, that's major cause for concern.

Trump lifts ban on US weapons companies bribing foreigners

By freezing enforcement of the FCPA, he risks reopening the door for more corruption in the domestic arms industry

On February 10, President Trump issued an executive order that directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to pause the enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The FCPA was the first law in modern history to ban a country’s own citizens and companies from bribing foreign officials.

Citing the law as one of the “excessive barriers to American commerce abroad,” President Trump has instructed the attorney general to — at her discretion — “cease the initiation of any new FCPA investigations or enforcement actions.” The executive order further requires the DOJ to provide remedial measures for those who have faced "inappropriate" penalties as a result of past FCPA investigations and guilty verdicts.

This move by the Trump administration to pause enforcement of the foreign bribery law now and allow it to be put on the shelf later risks a revival of the pre-1970s period, when bribery was a routine practice among major U.S. arms contractors.

In the post-Watergate reform period in Congress, in late 1975 and early 1976, Idaho Senator Frank Church’s Subcommittee on the Conduct of Multinational Corporations of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee exposed widespread foreign bribery on the part of U.S. oil and aerospace firms, with the starring role played by Lockheed Martin, which bribed officials in Japan, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Mexico, and Colombia in pursuit of contracts for its civilian and military aircraft.

The revelations caused political turmoil in the recipient countries, led to the resignation of Lockheed’s two top executives, and prompted Congress to pass the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977.

The repercussions were most severe in Japan, where Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka was arrested and convicted of receiving bribes in the scandal — the first time a sitting Japanese prime minister had been arrested, in what one analyst called “Japan’s biggest scandal of the postwar era.”

Sen. Church made it clear that in his mind, the problem went far beyond the question of corruption: “It is no longer sufficient to simply sigh and say that is the way business is done. It is time to treat the issue for what it is: a serious foreign policy problem.”

Among the issues he cited were potential destabilization of democratic allies and closer ties with reckless, dictatorial regimes driven by financial motivations rather than careful consideration of U.S. security interests.

As noted above, President Trump’s primary reason for freezing enforcement of the anti-bribery law is that he believes it has been used unfairly, to the detriment of U.S. companies and U.S. security. This argument does not hold up to scrutiny.

First of all, there is no evidence that outlawing bribery has hurt the U.S. arms industry. The United States has been the world’s largest arms supplier by a large margin for 25 of the past 26 years, and major U.S. arms offers reached near record levels of $145 billion last year.

The real issue is how to stop dangerous, counterproductive arms transfers, not how to make it easier to cash in on sales that too often undermine U.S. interests.

An email was sent out by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by tech mogul Elon Musk, asking federal employees to list five things they have accomplished in the past week, though many department heads told employees not to answer it.

"We have people who don't show up to work, and nobody even knows if they work for the government, so by asking the question 'Tell us what you did this week,' what [Elon's] doing is saying, 'Are you actually working?'" It is the policy of this department to provide support to the Moraine Valley Communities located at the Palos Hills, Blue Island and Tinley Park Education Centers in relation to Board Policy #6539- Concealed Carry and IL. Public Act 98-0063

As provided by statute, persons who have been issued a Concealed Carry permit by the State of Illinois will be required to follow those provisions provided by Board Policy #6539 restricting person’s access to firearms on all Moraine Valley Community College campuses.

Moraine Valley Community College has been designated as a “Protected Area” by statute and prohibits the carrying of any concealed firearms on any owned or leased facility operated or control by Moraine Valley Community College, by persons designated as “Non-Law Enforcement”.

Board Policy #6539 also restricts the carrying of Firearms in any Campus owned or leased vehicles by persons designated as Non-Law Enforcement. As provided by statute all weapons must be stored within the owners vehicles or lockers provided within the lobby of the Moraine Valley Police department on the Palos Hills campus. Those possessing weapons at the Tinley Park campus must store them within their locked vehicles or surrender them to the “on duty” Moraine Valley police officer for safe storage. Attendees at the Blue Island Center may store their weapons within their personal vehicle in those public parking areas near the campus, but may never enter the building while armed.

Persons who violate these procedures are subject to arrest and expulsion / termination from the Moraine Valley Community College.

On February 24, 1969, Airman First Class John L. Levitow was assigned duty as a loadmaster aboard an AC-47 “Spooky” gunship flying a night mission in support of Long Binh Army Post in South Vietnam when his aircraft was struck by a hostile mortar round. The resulting explosion ripped a hole 3 feet, 1/4 inches in diameter through the wing along with more than 3,500 holes in the fuselage. All occupants in the cargo compartment were wounded and slammed against the floor and fuselage. The explosion ripped an activated flare from the grasp of a crewmember who had been launching flares to provide illumination for Army ground troops engaged in combat. Airman Levitow, though stunned by the concussion of the blast and suffering over 40 fragment wounds in his back and legs, staggered to his feet and turned to assist the man nearest to him who had been knocked down and bleeding heavily.

As he was moving his wounded comrade forward and away from the opened cargo compartment door, he saw the smoking flare ahead of him in the aisle. Realizing the danger involved and completely disregarding his own wounds, Airman Levitow started toward the burning flare. The aircraft was partially out of control and the flare was rolling wildly from side to side. Airmen Levitow struggled forward despite the loss of blood from his many wounds and the partial loss of feeling in his right leg. Unable to grasp the rolling flare with his hands, he threw himself bodily upon the burning flare. Hugging the deadly device to his body, he dragged himself back to the rear of the aircraft and hurled the flare through the open cargo door. At that instant the flare separated and ignited in the air but clear of the aircraft.

Airman Levitow, by his selfless actions, saved the aircraft and its entire crew from certain death. For his heroism he received the Medal of Honor from President Richard M. Nixon on May 14, 1970. He is the lowest ranking Air Force member ever to receive the honor.

John Levitow was a regular visitor to Dover AFB and to the museum. On several occasions he was guest speaker at the graduation ceremonies for the Airman Leadership School. He was the Airlift-Tanker Association’s “Hall of Fame” inductee for 1998 and a C-17 Globemaster III was named for him on January 23, 1998, “The Spirit of John L. Levitow.” He passed away at his home in Connecticut on November 8, 2000.

Roughly a week after mass firings at the Food and Drug Administration, some probationary staffers received unexpected news over the weekend: The government wants them back.

Beginning Friday night, FDA employees overseeing medical devices and other key areas received calls and emails notifying them that their recent terminations had been "rescinded effective immediately," according to messages viewed by The Associated Press.

Three FDA staffers impacted by the decisions spoke with the AP on condition of anonymity because they planned to continue working for the agency and weren't authorized to discuss its internal procedures.

The reversal is the latest in President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk's cost-cutting efforts, which have resulted in several agencies firing and then rehiring employees responsible for nuclear weapons, national parks, and other government services.

The FDA reinstatements followed pushbackby lobbyistsfor the medical device industry, which pays the agency hundreds of millions of dollars annually to hire extra scientists to promptly review products. The industry's leading trade group said Monday "a sizable number" of device reviewers would apparently be returning to the FDA.

Many reviewers have advanced degrees in specialized medical and technological fields. They can typically earn more in the private sector than in government.

Last week, the lobbying group AdvaMed pushed back on the firings, calling on Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to reverse course. The group warned that the cuts would result in slower approvals for companies and fewer new treatment options for patients.

"FDA will lose hundreds of new employees, the best and most innovative hires under our most recent agreement," Whitaker wrote in a statement posted online. He noted that the hiring of FDA device reviewers is largely financed through an ongoing five-year agreement between the FDA and medical device companies.

More than half the device program's $791 million budget last year came from industry fees, according to federal figures. In return, the FDA is obligated to meet certain benchmarks for quickly and predictably reviewing applications for new and updated devices.

FDA staffers who were reinstated said their immediate supervisors received no explanation or advance notice on the decisions. Instead, staffers received calls or emails from the FDA's "Office of Talent Solutions," informing them that their access to FDA computer systems and offices had been restored.

"We are so grateful to still have you working for the FDA and serving the American public!" the emails concluded.

A week earlier, the same employees received emails stating that they were "not fit for continued employment because your ability, knowledge, and skills do not fit the agency's current needs."

Nearly half the FDA's budget, or about $3.3 billion, comes from fees paid by drugmakers and device and tobacco companies. The result is that broad cuts to those programs won't add much toward Musk's stated goal of shrinking the federal budget.

But the financial support of industry fees did not appear to help staffers in other parts of the agency.

The agency's tobacco center — which reviews new products like electronic cigarettes and nicotine pouches — is 100% funded by industry fees. But there did not appear to be an effort to rehire any of the estimated 100 or so employees fired from that center.

Similarly, the recalls did not appear to apply to the agency's food program, which recently went though a major restructuring to better oversee essential products like infant formula and baby food.

Last week, the FDA's deputy commissioner for foods, Jim Jones resigned, citing "the indiscriminate firing" of nearly 90 staffers in his division, according to a copy of his resignation letter obtained by the AP. The employees fired included those with "highly technical expertise in nutrition, infant formula, food safety response," and chemical safety, Jones said.

The Tennessee Republican, who has made the same request of acting IRS Commissioner Douglas O'Donnell to release the service's records on the matter, wrote in a letter to Patel that "this critical information identifying every individual who could have participated in Jeffrey Epstein's abhorrent conduct is long overdue."

The senator added that "the survivors of Mr. Epstein's horrific crimes want transparency and accountability, and they — and the American people — deserve nothing less."

During his confirmation hearing, Patel told Blackburn that he would "absolutely" work with her to increase transparency on those files, according to the Post.

Epstein, a financier who was well-connected in elite circles, died in his Manhattan jail cell in August 2019, weeks after his arrest on child sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide.

Blackburn is demanding the FBI turn over the complete flight logs from Epstein's jet and helicopter, as well as records from his convicted associate Ghislaine Maxwell — including her "little black book" containing the names and contact info of the rich and famous.

Although redacted versions of the black book and flight logs have leaked online or appeared in past lawsuits, Blackburn wants the full version to be made public, the Post reported.

"Since Mr. Epstein's death in 2019, there is still much about this tragic case that is not known — including the names of his associates that are listed in the flight logs of his private jet and in Ghislaine Maxwell's 'little black book,'" Blackburn wrote. "It is paramount that the FBI provide full transparency to the American people and immediately release the complete, unredacted records in this case."

The senator also wants the IRS to produce "any and all" documents that "reveal the names of individuals and entities that held any kind of financial relationship" with Epstein or Maxwell, along with all IRS files on the pair.

But there are concerns about releasing personal information of individuals who met with Epstein but did not commit any criminal conduct.

Blackburn has long battled for access to the records, having also pressed Patel's predecessor, Christopher Wray, to turn over the material.

Blackburn noted to Patel that, despite more than a year passing, "Wray never provided any such follow-up information" after he told the Senate Judiciary Committee in December 2023 that his team would "figure out if there's more information we can provide" on Epstein.
