I often imagine and dream of time gone by, could things have been done different? How would/could our world have turned different? Is even thinking about such just a waste of mind and time?? For sure, THIS 'time-line' now today looks like waste in every direction. How absurd it is that so much of day-to-day is just needless waste and spinning wheels for nothing piled on top of nothing. Im past middle age, and motivation is slipping away very fast for me. The Enemy of humanity has struck a very deep blow against innocent vibrancy and simple happiness.

Central Banks then roll out the digital currency as the answer to the worthless dollars. Then every single purchase or transaction can be tracked and traced and you cannot buy or sell w/o it. The banks can turn it off at will…unless you comply.

In a social media post on Sunday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova likened Sunak’s position to historical acts of piracy.

 

“This is one of the English traditions, like tea drinking and horse racing. The fact is that piracy was legalized in England. Pirates were forbidden to attack English ships but were allowed to plunder rival vessels,” Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

 

Zakharova’s criticism follows Sunak’s post on X, where he claimed that “Now is the time to seize [the Russian assets] and make Russia pay.”

 

The former British prime minister was referring to the roughly $300 billion in assets belonging to Russia’s central bank that had been immobilized by the Western financial system as part of Ukraine-related sanctions since 2022. The assets are mostly EU, US, and British government bonds held in a Brussels-based securities depository.

 

“If we don’t act, [the assets] could be handed back to Moscow to fund Putin’s next war,” Sunak wrote on Sunday.

 

The UK has consistently supported the seizure of frozen Russian assets. Last month, Foreign Secretary David Lammy said that Europe should move from freezing Russian assets to actively seizing them.

 

Earlier this month, the British government agreed to issue a $2.84 billion loan to Ukraine backed by the income generated by the assets. In response, Moscow accused London of violating international law and warned that it will have to give the money back.

 

The EU’s economic sanctions against Russia come up for renewal every six months with the next extension due in July.

 

The US launched negotiations last month to broker peace in Ukraine, with President Donald Trump indicating that sanctions against Moscow could be lifted if a settlement is achieved. Additionally, Hungary has repeatedly threatened to veto the renewal of EU sanctions against Russia. This means that the assets could potentially be released and returned to Moscow.

 

The European Parliament last week called on EU member states, in collaboration with G7 partners, to “immediately seize all frozen Russian assets” in order to continue financing Kiev.

 

Moscow has repeatedly decried the asset freeze as “theft,” while the Kremlin has warned of consequences if Western countries go ahead with the proposed confiscation.

Congress is investigating two security incidents that allegedly occurred on the days when President Donald Trump made his two most recent speeches at the U.S. Capitol this year, at least one involving a gun and another raising concerns about whether a metal detector was evaded, a House official told Just the News.

 

House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, R-Wis., disclosed on Monday night that the reported incidents have been referred for investigation to the U.S. Capitol Police Inspector General's office.

 

"There are serious allegations as to what you just mentioned, regarding individuals who have attempted or who have brought weapons into the United States Capitol," Steil told the "Just the News, No Noise" television show. "There is a full investigation ongoing into this. We have an inspector general report due in the near future."

Trump claims the legislation violates the rights of white South Africans, who continue to own the majority of farmland despite constituting only about 7% of the population.

 

The South African government has sought to hold talks with the Trump administration in order to clarify what it calls “misinformation” about the land policy. Last week, Semafor news agency reported that Ambassador Rasool has been unable to secure meetings with American officials.

On Monday, Ramaphosa dismissed claims that his government is being ignored by the White House.

 

“We cannot be blue-ticked because we are such an important player to the United States of America, as they are an important player to South Africa from a political point of view, from a trade point of view… We cannot be ignored,” he said in response to a question about the situation with Washington.

Such a close familial relationship brings into question how the judge may render decisions and how his decisions may impact the professional career of his daughter, who’s employment is based upon defending criminal illegal aliens, gang members, and opposing mass deportations.

 

It seems that Judge Boasberg has a clear conflict of interest & is obligated to recuse himself from this case, as outlined in the Code of Conduct for United States Judges, which specifies the circumstances under which a judge must disqualify themselves from a proceeding.

 

The disqualification clause states the following:

 

“A judge shall disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the judge’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances in which:

 

The judge or the judge’s spouse, or a person related to either within the third degree of relationship, or the spouse of such a person is:

 

Known by the judge to have an interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding.”

 

The mass deportation of criminal illegal aliens and gang members could lead to a substantial reduction in urban crime rates, potentially decreasing the caseload for Partners for Justice, while also reducing gang-related incidents that may, in turn, diminish funding opportunities for Partners For Justice from U.S. government grants and private foundations.

 

Judge Boasberg MUST RECUSE HIMSELF!

 

Given his daughter’s employment at a group that advocates for criminal illegal Aliens & is funded by US Government grants, Judge Boasberg should not be granted any sensitive information about deportation flights. His family is a national security threat. @Sec_Noem

Kentucky GOP lawmakers vote to protect conversion therapy

 

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky’s Republican lawmakers have passed a measure to protect conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ youths as part of a bill that also would outlaw the use of Medicaid funds to pay for gender-affirming health care for transgender Kentucky residents.

 

The House vote occurred late Friday, less than an hour before the midnight deadline for the GOP-supermajority legislature to pass bills and retain its ability to override gubernatorial vetoes. The bill passed after the Senate version that prohibited the use of Medicaid was accepted by the House.

 

Conversion therapy is the scientifically discredited practice of using therapy to “convert” LGBTQ+ people to heterosexuality or traditional gender expectations.

 

GOP lawmakers voted to remove restrictions that Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear placed on the practice last year. He banned spending tax dollars to pay for the practice on minors, saying his executive order was needed to protect children. The order directed licensing boards to consider adopting strong policies disciplining someone found to have practiced conversion therapy on minors.

 

The measure voted on Friday, and denounced by Beshear, cleared both chambers by veto-proof margins. Lawmakers will take up vetoes while wrapping up this year’s session in late March.

 

Chris Hartman, executive director of the Fairness Campaign, a Kentucky-based LGBTQ+ advocacy group, called it one of the most “shameful” bills in Kentucky history.

 

Democratic Rep. Lisa Willner condemned conversion therapy as “discredited, dangerous, suicide-promoting practices.”

 

David Walls, executive director of The Family Foundation, a socially conservative group, called it a needed pushback against Beshear’s executive action, which Walls called an attack on free speech and religious freedom.

 

Knowing they had the votes for passage, Republican House members said little about the bill Friday night. Its lead sponsor, GOP Rep. David Hale, has said families should have access to the mental health care of their choice, and said his bill would protect mental health care professionals, institutions and ordained ministries from discrimination when providing counseling services.

 

The Kentucky debate comes amid the national battle over LGBTQ+ rights. The Supreme Court will use a recent case from Colorado to decide whether state and local governments can enforce laws banning conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ children.

 

Beshear, who is widely seen as a potential contender for the White House in 2028, last Thursday lambasted the bill meant to nullify his action against conversion therapy.

 

“Conversion therapy has been discredited by every major medical organization that’s looked at it,” the governor said. “It significantly increases the chances of suicide amongst our LGBTQ+ youth. It is equivalent of torture, and we should not be allowing it to happen here in the commonwealth. Those are children of God that deserve our protection.”

 

On the Medicaid part of the bill, Beshear said medical decisions should be left up to medical experts.

 

“We don’t determine someone’s health care based on the politics of the day,” he said.

 

House Republicans on Friday also gave final passage to a bill targeting the few dozen transgender people who are incarcerated in Kentucky. The measure would ban them from accessing gender-affirming health care. That bill was also sent to the governor.

 

The bill’s supporters have said it makes a clear distinction between essential medical treatments and elective procedures. Inmates will continue receiving medical care for legitimate conditions, they said, but the state will not fund what they called elective gender transition treatments.

 

“The idea that state taxpayers should be footing the bill for gender transition treatments of any individual, but especially those who have perpetrated harm against our commonwealth, is outrageous,” Walls said.

 

Hartman said the denial of prescribed medications to transgender inmates, under the guise of saving tax dollars, is cruel and unconstitutional.

 

In a floor speech late Friday summing up the House action, Democratic Rep. Sarah Stalker said lawmakers should have used the time on core issues like jobs, health care, public education and affordable housing instead of “continuing to go after such small populations of individuals who are already vulnerable.”

Chief Justice John Marshall doubted the constitutionality of the repeal but recognized that he could not sway the opinion of a majority of justices. When a specific challenge did reach the court in Stuart v. Laird (1803), the court, in an opinion by Justice William Paterson, affirmed the constitutionality of the repeal. Thus, what had seemed so grave a question at the time passed quickly into obscurity.

Thomas Jefferson, a stanch advocate of decentralized power, recognized that a federal government empowered to judge the extent of its own authority was one that would never remain limited in size or scope. Because of this, the power of the federal judiciary was always of great concern to him. The following is a small, but representative, sample of a number of Jefferson’s views on the power of the judicial branch of the federal government.

 

He said judicial tyranny made the Constitution “a thing of wax.”

 

If [as the Federalists say] “the judiciary is the last resort in relation to the other departments of the government,” … , then indeed is our Constitution a complete felo de so. … The Constitution, on this hypothesis, is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they may please. It should be remembered, as an axiom of eternal truth in politics, that whatever power in any government is independent, is absolute also; in theory only, at first, while the spirit of the people is up, but in practice, as fast as that relaxes. Independence can be trusted nowhere but with the people in mass. They are inherently independent of all but moral law … — Letter to Judge Spencer Roane, Nov. 1819

 

Jefferson was plainly alarmed by the possibility of judicial tyranny.

 

You seem to consider the judges the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges … and their power [are] the more dangerous as they are in office for life, and are not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control. The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with the corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots. It has more wisely made all the departments co-equal and co-sovereign within themselves … . When the legislative or executive functionaries act unconstitutionally, they are responsible to the people in their elective capacity. The exemption of the judges from that is quite dangerous enough. I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society, but the people themselves. …. — Letter to Mr. Jarvis, Sept, 1820

 

Jefferson plainly had an answer against judicial tyranny.

 

This case of Marbury and Madison is continually cited by bench and bar, as if it were settled law, without any animadversions on its being merely an obiter dissertation of the Chief Justice … . But the Chief Justice says, “there must be an ultimate arbiter somewhere.” True, there must; but … . The ultimate arbiter is the people …. — Letter to Judge William Johnson, June 1823

 

He saw where judicial tyranny was leading.

 

When all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated …. —Letter to C. Hammond, July 1821

 

He saw judicial tyranny as an undermining of the Constitution.

 

The judiciary of the United States is the subtle corps of sappers and miners constantly working underground to undermine our Constitution from a co-ordinate of a general and special government to a general supreme one alone. This will lay all things at their feet. … I will say, that “against this every man should raise his voice,” and, more, should uplift his arm … — Letter to Thomas Ritchie, Sept. 1820

 

Jefferson saw judicial tyranny as an all-out assault on the Constitution.

 

I fear, dear Sir, we are now in such another crisis [as when the Alien and Sedition Laws were enacted], with this difference only, that the judiciary branch is alone and single-handed in the present assaults on the Constitution. But its assaults are more sure and deadly, as from an agent seemingly passive and unassuming. — Letter to Mr. Nicholas, Dec. 1821

 

He saw judicial tyranny as the greatest danger to the nation.

 

… there is no danger I apprehend so much as the consolidation of our government by the noiseless, and therefore unalarming, instrumentality of the Supreme Court. — Letter to William Johnson, Mar. 1823

 

For judges to usurp the powers of the legislature is unconstitutional judicial tyranny.
