Not that it really matters, but a terribly untalented writer for badly failing Forbes Magazine, Dan Alexander, who probably can’t get a meaningful job in the business, has written so inaccurately about me that it is ridiculous.

The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade.

Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America?

Is it purely a hatred of “TRUMP?” What other reason could it be?

I was new to Washington, and it was suggested that I useThe Federalist Societyas a recommending source on Judges.

I did so, openly and freely, but then realized that they were under the thumb ofa real “sleazebag” named Leonard Leo, a bad person who, in his own way, probably hates America, and obviously has his own separate ambitions.

He openly brags how he controls Judges, and even Justices of the United States Supreme Court — I hope that is not so, and don’t believe it is!

In any event, Leo left The Federalist Society to do his own “thing.” I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations.

This is something that cannot be forgotten!With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others.

They always must do what’s right for the Country!

In this case, it is only because of my successful use of Tariffs that many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the U.S.A. from other Countries, money that, without these Tariffs, we would not be able to get.

It is the difference between having a rich, prosperous, and successful United States of America, and quite the opposite. The ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade is so wrong, and so political!

Hopefully, the Supreme Court will reverse this horrible, Country threatening decision, QUICKLY and DECISIVELY.

Backroom “hustlers”must not be allowed to destroy our Nation!

The horrific decision stated that I would have to get the approval of Congress for these Tariffs.

In other words, hundreds of politicians would sit around D.C. for weeks, and even months, trying to come to a conclusion as to what to charge other Countries that are treating us unfairly.

If allowed to stand, this would completely destroy Presidential Power — The Presidency would never be the same! This decision is being hailed all over the World by every Country, other than the United States of America.

Radical Left Judges, together with some very bad people, are destroying America. Under this decision, Trillions of Dollars would be lost by our Country, money that will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

It would be the harshest financial ruling ever leveled on us as a Sovereign Nation. The President of the United States must be allowed to protect America against those that are doing it Economic and Financial harm.

A federal judge on Thursday blocked President Donald Trump's executive order restricting birthright citizenship in the wake of the Supreme Court's ruling on nationwide injunctions.

 

U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante granted class-action status to babies who would be affected by the order, in an apparent attempt to circumvent the high court's directives to limit injunctions to participating parties in the case.

 

The ACLU filed suit, arguing that those affected would suffer irreparable harm, NBC News reported.

 

The Supreme Court last month narrowed the scope of prior injunctions against the order, finding that lower courts likely lacked the authority to issue sweeping injunctions.

 

"The issuance of a universal injunction can be justified only as an exercise of equitable authority,yet Congress has granted federal courts no such power," wrote Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

 

In a concurring opinion, however, Associate Justice Samuel Alito wrote that"today’s decision will have very little value if district courts award relief to broadly defined classeswithout following 'Rule 23’s procedural protections' for class certification."

The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade.

Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America?

He openly brags how he controls Judges, and even Justices of the United States Supreme Court — I hope that is not so, and don’t believe it is!

In any event, Leo left The Federalist Society to do his own “thing.” I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations.

This is something that cannot be forgotten!With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others.

They always must do what’s right for the Country!

In this case, it is only because of my successful use of Tariffs that many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the U.S.A. from other Countries, money that, without these Tariffs, we would not be able to get.

An awestruck Maryland man captured curious footage of a UFO that zipped across the sky during a recent thunderstorm.

The intriguing sighting was reportedly filmed on Monday evening by an unnamed witness in the community of Kingsville.

While filming a thunderstorm that was unfolding that night, the man was taken aback when a bright elongated object suddenly cut a path through the sky right at the moment when a lightning bolt lit up the area.

The dazzling scene (seen above) elicited a comically drawn-out "cool" from the man as he marveled at what he had just seen overhead.

 

Interestingly, a slow-down version of the short but compelling video shows that the object did not travel in a straight line as it seemed to skip and slightly change direction near the end of its trip across the sky.

As for what the weird glowing object could have been, some UFO enthusiasts have speculated that the anomaly was an otherworldly craft drawn to and harnessing energy from the powerful thunderstorm.

Skeptics, on the other hand, suggest that the 'alien interloper' was either a meteorological phenomenon or something prosaic that appeared unusual due to the camera's perspective.

Federal Judge Issues New Nationwide Block Targeting Trump's Birthright Citizenship Order

 

A federal judge on Thursday has barred the Trump administration from enforcing the president’s executive order limiting birthright citizenship, coming weeks after the Supreme Court restricted the capacity of judges to issue nationwide injunctions.

 

U.S. District Judge Joseph LaPlante announced his decision after an hour-long hearing and said a written order will follow. The order will include a seven-day stay to allow for appeal, he said.

 

“That’s irreparable harm, citizenship alone,” he said in court, according to reporters in the courtroom, referring to American citizenship. “It is the greatest privilege that exists in the world.”

 

President Donald Trump in January issued the order ending automatic birthright citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are illegal immigrants.

 

Multiple federal judges have issued injunctions against the order since it was issued, while the Supreme Court invalidated those previous court orders by ruling that lower courts cannot issue sweeping orders that block orders nationwide.

 

At issue is the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, which says that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”

 

The lawsuit, brought by the American Civil Liberties Union and other plaintiffs, had argued that the executive order violates the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment and runs afoul of decades of jurisprudence over how to handle birthright citizenship.

 

But lawyers for the Trump administration have argued that under that text, the United States can deny citizenship to children born of illegal immigrant women due to the line, “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”

 

“Prior misimpressions of the citizenship clause have created a perverse incentive for illegal immigration that has negatively impacted this country’s sovereignty, national security, and economic stability,” government lawyers said in court papers filed earlier this year, arguing on behalf of the Trump administration.

The airport in Rzeszow, located just 80km from the Ukrainian border, has served as a vital logistics hub. According to Polish and Western officials, between 80-90% of NATO and partner-supplied military equipment destined for Ukraine has passed through the facility, including weapons, ammunition, and vehicles.

 

However, speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Duda expressed frustration that Poland had not been included in key international bodies responsible for decisions on Ukraine aid delivered via Polish territory. He described the situation as a “scandal.”

Pentagon Invests in Sole Operational Rare Earth Mine in the United States – Becomes Largest Investor

 

The Department of Defense (DoD) has agreed to buy $400 million worth of preferred stock from MP Materials, the only operational rare earth mine in the United States located just outside Mountain Pass, California. The investment will help MP Materials build a second magnet manufacturing facility, with construction beginning in 2028.

 

The investment would make the DoD the largest shareholder with around a 15% stake, eclipsing the previous lead shareholders; the current CEO James Litinsky (8.27%) and BlackRock Fund Advisors (8.27%). Additionally, JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs will provide $1 billion in financing for the second facility.

 

As part of the deal, the DoD has ensured that “100% of the magnets made at the new facility, called 10x, are purchased by defense and commercial customers for 10 years after the plant is built,” according to NBC News.

 

Currently, the U.S. imports around 95% of Rare Earth Elements (REEs) it consumes, mainly from China. In April, China imposed restrictions on seven of the 17 REEs exported to the U.S. in response to President Trump’s reciprocal tariffs. Those restrictions eased up in July; however, the dependence on China for those materials is likely a motivation behind this investment.

 

Rare Earth Elements (REEs) are a group of 17 metallic elements that are used for advanced military technologies, as they possess unique magnetic, luminescent, and electrochemical properties. These are critical components in modern guidance systems, precision-guided munitions, radar, and satellite systems.

 

For example, the F-35 requires an estimated 900 lbs of REEs for its manufacturing, while a Virginia-class submarine needs more than 9,000 lbs. According to FairObserver, even with the mining operation of MP Materials, the U.S. is still dependent on China for processing the ore extracted in Mountain Pass.

 

Through the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy, the Manufacturing Capability Expansion and Investment Program directorate has embarked on a five-year rare earth investment strategy to build “mine-to-magnet” domestic capacity at all critical nodes of the rare earth supply chain. Those critical nodes include sourcing, separation, processing, metallization, alloying and magnet manufacturing.

 

The first of those critical nodes, the sourcing of rare earth elements, means mining rare earth elements out of the ground. Today in the U.S., there is only one rare earth mine currently active and selling to the commercial market.

 

Separation includes a series of processes that take out extractable rare earth elements from other elements and compounds in the mineral rock. Processing involves concentrating separated rare earth elements and then chemically treating them to produce high-purity rare earth oxides or rare earth salts. The metallization step transforms rare earth salts into rare earth metals. Depending on the application, those metals can be combined with various alloying elements to produce a variety of rare earth alloys.

Judicial Watch announced it filed a “joint status report” on July 7 in federal court reporting that the Justice Department and the FBI continue to search for and review records in response to Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for records regarding Jeffrey Epstein. The lawsuit requests any records on the identities of clients or associates of Epstein. Nemer assigned seven employees to her Sky Canada Project, though a final report has never been made public, according to Blacklock’s.

Nemer’s office compiled a list of famous Canadian Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) sightings from Wikipedia entries. Her interest in UFOs was sparked by a Chinese surveillance balloon in 2023, said the memo.

 

“When the object was retrieved off the coast of the Carolinas on February 4, the mystery was put to rest as the object was revealed to be a balloon of Chinese origin,” the memo said.

“But the incident created a notable ripple effect, an increase in reports from the Canadian public witnessing unidentified anomalous phenomena, what were previously called UFO sightings.”

 

The Department of Transport received an average of 36 annual UFO sighting reports over the past decade, although these included reports of fireworks, weather balloons, and meteors, not solely UAPs, according to Blacklock’s.

Sky Canada aims to “support citizen science and collect observations to document rare natural phenomena” through a centralized federal bureaucracy, despite widespread public indifference.

 

One survey, titled Study On Sky Canada: A Nationwide Survey For The Office Of The Chief Science Advisor Of Canada, found only 10% support to spend public funds on UFO research.

“It will [also] help curb disinformation and prevent conspiracy theories by making collected information accessible to all,” said the memo.

 

Nemer began the project two years ago at an undisclosed cost and without parliamentary oversight. All other federal agencies ceased UFO investigations in 1995.

Nemer revived UFO research last year to combat disinformation. “… it’s important that we have a scientific approach and transparency in how we assemble the information precisely to avoid any conspiracy theories and so on,” she told a 2024 hearing of the Commons science committee.

 

“There are many reasons for us to work on the Sky Canada Project like facilitating citizen science that collects observations documenting rare natural phenomena,” detailed the Access To Information memo.

“It aims to optimize the consolidation of all unidentified anomalous phenomena observations in a transparent manner and find competent experts who can offer insightful explanations.”

“Sky Canada is not meant to access and collect first-hand data like photographs,” it said. The objective was to “give access to collected information to prevent conspiracy theories” and keep Canada safe from space intruders.

 

Nemer’s office recently labelled UFOs a “national security” issue, a point she had not openly raised to revive UFO research previously. Nemer, a biochemist, lacks known expertise in aerospace or national security.

Access To Information records uncovered thousands of Cold War UFO documents ending in 1995 due to cost. Library and Archives Canada holds 9,500 such reports from 1947-1978, none of which identify a verified sighting.

“The National Research Council became involved in 1967 when the sightings were deemed to not be a threat but of scientific interest,” said the memo. “Investigations stopped in 1995.”

The Jeffrey Epstein story keeps getting worse for President Donald Trump’s administration.

 

In an interview Monday night with NewsNation host Chris Cuomo, Mark Epstein, brother of the deceased financier, did more than just cast doubt on the official findings that Epstein had committed suicide when he died in a jail cell in New York City in 2019.

 

He openly mocked Trump’s FBI in the process.

 

“Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they put their foot further down their mouths,” Epstein told Cuomo in a phone interview.

And he called out FBI Director Kash Patel directly for Patel’s assurance that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide.

 

In May, as The Daily Caller reported at the time, Patel was testifying before a Senate subcommittee when he was asked by conservative Republican John Kennedy of Louisiana if Epstein had killed himself.

 

Patel’s answer left little wiggle room:

 

“Senator, I believe he hung himself in a cell in the Metropolitan Detention Center,” he said, according to The Daily Caller.

 

And in an interview with Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures” on May 18, Patel was even more definitive.

 

“As someone who has worked as a public defender, as a prosecutor, who’s been in that prison system, who’s been in the Metropolitan Detention Center, who’s been in segregated housing, you know a suicide when you see one, and that’s what that was,” Patel said.

 

In his Cuomo interview, Mark Epstein was brutally incredulous.

 

“When Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was,” he said

 

Mark Epstein has long been publicly arguing that his brother was murdered. In the months immediately after Jeffrey Epstein’s body was found in August 2019, Mark Epstein hired a former New York City medical examiner to view Epstein’s autopsy.

 

Dr. Michael Baden told “Fox & Friends” in October of that year that the body bore marks more consistent with homicide than suicide.

 

Mark Epstein isn’t the only skeptic when it comes to the cause of Epstein’s death, of course. For many conservatives, it’s an article of faith that Epstein did not kill himself but was murdered to silence him for what he knew about the sexual predilections of other powerful men. (Former President Bill Clinton was reportedly a frequent flyer aboard the Epstein private plane known as the “Lolita Express.”)

 

In January 2020, comedian Ricky Gervais caused a mild uproar when he publicly joked at the Grammy awards that Epstein didn’t kill himself.

And now major Trump administration names like Patel, Deputy FBI Director and former conservative talk show host Dan Bonginio, and Attorney General Pam Bondi are putting the weight of their reputations behind the idea that Epstein did, in fact, commit suicide under extremely suspicious conditions.

 

And Trump himself appears publicly loath for the topic to be discussed — openly disparaging a question about it at Tuesday’s cabinet meeting.

 

With that in the air, the dead man’s brother making a mockery of Trump’s FBI in an interview with Chris Cuomo, a former CNN anchor with a long history of bashing Trump, doesn’t make the situation any better.

 

In fact, it just means the story keeps getting worse.

China has backed the right of the Palestinian people to use armed force to combat Israel's occupation of their land, calling it an "an inalienable right well founded in international law".

The comments on Thursday were made by the Chinese ambassador to the UN, Zhang Jun, during the fourth day of public hearings held by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Representatives of 52 countries are addressing the ICJ on Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land.

Beijing’s envoy said there were "various people (who) freed themselves from colonial rule" and they could use "all available means, including armed struggle".

He described the Palestinian use of armed resistance as legitimate and not an act of terrorism.

"The struggle waged by peoples for their liberation, right to self-determination, including armed struggle against colonialism, occupation, aggression, domination against foreign forces should not be considered terror acts," Zhang Jun told the court.

In his speech, Jun criticized Israeli policies, characterizing them as “oppression that has severely undermined and impeded the exercises and full realization of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination".

The ICJ’s public hearings, which will be held until February 26, come after a UN General Assembly resolution requesting an ICJ advisory opinion.

The number of states participating in the oral proceedings is the highest of any case since the ICJ's establishment in 1945 and is separate to the more publicized genocide case brought by South Africa. A panel of 15 judges are expected to take about six months to deliberate before issuing an advisory opinion.

Besides China, other countries scheduled to participate in the hearings include Hungary, France, South Africa and Egypt.

International bodies, including the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the African Union will also take part. Israel will not participate but has sent written observations to the court.

‘FuckLAPD.com’ Lets Anyone Use Facial Recognition To Instantly Identify Cops

 

A free tool that allows anyone to upload a photo of an LAPD officer to get their name and badge number.

 

A new site, FuckLAPD.com, is using public records and facial recognition technology to allow anyone to identify police officers in Los Angeles they have a picture of. The tool, made by artist Kyle McDonald, is designed to help people identify cops who may otherwise try to conceal their identity, such as covering their badge or serial number.

 

“We deserve to know who is shooting us in the face even when they have their badge covered up,” McDonald told me when I asked if the site was made in response to police violence during the LA protests against ICE that started earlier this month. “fucklapd.com is a response to the violence of the LAPD during the recent protests against the horrific ICE raids. And more broadly—the failure of the LAPD to accomplish anything useful with over $2B in funding each year.”

 

“Cops covering up their badges? ID them with their faces instead,” the site, which McDonald said went live this Saturday. The tool allows users to upload an image of a police officer’s face to search over 9,000 LAPD headshots obtained via public record requests. The site says image processing happens on the device, and no photos or data are transmitted or saved on the site. “Blurry, low-resolution photos will not match,” the site says.

 

“fucklapd.com uses data provided by the City of Los Angeles directly to the public,” McDonald told me in an email. “This data has been provided in response to either public records requests or public records lawsuits. That means all of this information belongs to the public and is a matter of public record. fucklapd.com is not scraping any data.”

 

In addition to potentially identifying officers by name and serial number, FuckLAPD.com also pulls up a police officer’s salary.

 

“Surprisingly it [the domain name] only costs $10 a year to exercise my first amendment right to say fucklapd.com,” McDonald said.

 

I tested the tools by grabbing an image of a white and bald police officer from an LAPD press conference addressing its use of force during the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. I uploaded the image to the site, and within a few seconds the site presented me with nine headshots of officers who could be possible matches, all of them bald white men. The first correctly identified the cop in the image I uploaded.

 

Clicking “view profile” under the result sent me to the Watch the Watchers site by the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, a community group based in the Skid Row neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles. “All of the information on this website comes from records that were deliberately made public by the City of Los Angeles in response to either public records requests or public records lawsuits,” the Watch the Watchers site says. “We plan to keep refreshing this data from new public records requests as well as to add other data.” Stop LAPD Spying Coalition is not associated with FuckLAPD.com and did not endorse the site.

 

McDonald told me that since the site launched, it had around 50,000 visitors, but “Because the analysis happens on-device I have no way of knowing what people are using it for, except for some people who have posted screenshots to Twitter or Instagram,” he said.

His progress through the three degrees of "blue lodge" masonry taught him nothing of the higher degrees he sought to exploit, but in the following year a priest called Abbé Marotti informed Zwack that these inner secrets rested on knowledge of the older religion and the primitive church. Zwack persuaded Weishaupt that their own order should enter into friendly relations with Freemasonry, and obtain the dispensation to set up their own lodge. At this stage (December 1778), the addition of the first three degrees of Freemasonry was seen as a secondary project.[15]

With little difficulty, a warrant was obtained from the Grand Lodge of Prussia called the Royal York for Friendship, and the new lodge was called Theodore of the Good Council, with the intention of flattering Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria. It was founded in Munich on 21 March 1779, and quickly packed with Illuminati. The first master, a man called Radl, was persuaded to return home to Baden, and by July Weishaupt's order ran the lodge.[15]

The next step involved independence from their Grand Lodge. The son of a billionaire linked to Jeffrey Epstein is pending confirmation for a major foreign aid position in the Trump administration.

 

President Donald Trump appointed Benjamin Black to be chief executive officer of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), which helps mobilize private capital to “advance U.S. foreign policy and strengthen national security.”

 

The nominee’s father, private equity firm Apollo Global Management co-founder Leon Black, was “friendly” with Epstein, paying him least $158 million for advice on tax issues, philanthropy, estate planning and other matters related to “the operation of the Family Office,” according to a 2021 report by the law firm Dechert LLP.

 

The report was commissioned by Apollo Global Management’s board of directors following New York Times reports of Black’s payments to Epstein. It found “no evidence that Black or any employee of the Family Office or Apollo was involved in any way with Epstein’s criminal activities at any time.”

 

The amount Black paid is likely $12 million higher than indicated in Dechert LLP’s report, Senate Finance Committee staff found in a review of federal government records and other evidence.

 

Democratic Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden sent a letter requesting documents from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Treasury Department “related to individuals, financial institutions, attorneys and agents that may have known about or facilitated the financing of Epstein’s illegal activities” in March.

 

“I am concerned that Attorney General Bondi’s February 27th release of documents related to the Epstein case failed to provide any meaningful new information, and that many of these documents were already in the public domain—similar concerns have been raised by Democrats and Republicans alike,” Wyden wrote. “It is crucial that your agencies provide the Committee with the requested documents in order to further its ongoing investigation, and to ensure that the Trump Department of Justice does not sweep any case against high profile individuals associated with Epstein’s activities under the rug.”

 

Leon Black also entered into a $62.5 million settlement with the U.S. Virgin Islands granting him immunity from any claims related to the Epstein sex trafficking investigation, the NYT reported in 2023. Epstein’s private Little St. James island in the U.S. Virgin Islands is where his alleged child sex trafficking operation took place.

 

The settlement should not be “taken as or construed to be an admission by Black of any liability or of any violation of any law,” the document states.

 

Benjamin Black has never been accused of ties to Epstein, and Leon Black has denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes and expressed regret about having any involvement with him.

Jeffrey Epstein’s newly-revealed private calendar showed scheduled meetings with the current CIA director, a college president and attorney who served in the Obama administration, according to a report published Sunday.

 

New documents, which belonged to the rich convicted pedophile and were obtained by The Wall Street Journal, showed planned meetings with a slew of prominent individuals, including now-CIA Director William Burns, Bard College president Leon Botstein, Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler and professor Noam Chomsky.

 

All the scheduled meetings were slated to take place after Epstein was jailed in 2008 on charges of solicitation, including soliciting a minor. WSJ could not prove each scheduled meeting actually took place, and the documents did not reveal the purpose for the meetings.

 

A spokesperson for Burns, who has taken the CIA’s helm since 2021 under the Biden administration, said the nation’s spy chief met with Epstein a decade ago when he was trying to leave the government.

 

"Director Burns recalls being introduced by a mutual friend in Washington, DC, and then met with him once briefly in New York City, about a decade ago as the Director was preparing to leave government service," CIA spokeswoman Tammy Kupperman Thorp said in comment provided to Fox News Digital.

 

"The Director did not know anything about him, other than he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector. The Director does not recall any further contact, including receiving a ride to the airport. They had no relationship."

 

Ruemmler had dozens of meetings with Epstein following her work for the Obama administration and before taking the reins as Goldman Sachs' top lawyer in 2020, according to WSJ. The documents show Epstein was planning on Ruemmler joining him for a trip to Paris in 2015 and another visit to his private island in the Caribbean in 2017.

 

A Goldman Sachs rep told the outlet that Ruemmler had a working relationship with Epstein when she was employed at law firm Latham & Watkins LLP, but did not travel with Epstein. The spokesperson said Epstein introduced Ruemmler to potential legal clients, such as Bill Gates.

 

"Many of Ms. Ruemmler's contacts related to a potential representation involving the Gates Foundation, a representation of the Edmond de Rothschild bank, and other business opportunities," a Goldman Sachs spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Sunday.

"I regret ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein," Ruemmler said, according to WSJ.

 

The Journal reported that the majority of people they spoke to said they met with Epstein for donations or to make powerful connections. Botstein, who has served as Bard College’s president since 1975, said he met with Epstein to try to get him to donate to the liberal arts school.

 

"I was an unsuccessful fundraiser and actually the object of a little bit of sadism on his part in dangling philanthropic support," Botstein told the outlet. "That was my relationship with him."

A letter Davdai posted shows that Columbia closed the inquest on July 8, "without any findings or conclusions of wrongdoing and without imposing discipline or penalty."

 

Israeli Prof. Shai Davidai resigned from his post at Columbia Business School on the same day that he received a letter clearing him of harassment allegations.

Ukraine and EU ‘already lost’ – Orban

Hungary’s leader says the West has pursued a failed strategy in Ukraine and is urging a return to diplomacy

 

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said both Ukraine and the EU have already lost the conflict with Russia in an interview with the YouTube channel Patriota, which was posted on Wednesday.

 

He argued that the war cannot be won on the battlefield and should be resolved through diplomacy.

 

The Hungarian leader suggested that“there will come a bitter moment when European leaders – apart from us and the Slovaks – will have to admit that they followed a mistaken strategy and were therefore defeated in this war.”

 

“I believe the EU has already lost the war.Ukraine is holding on – although it’s retreating– but I think Ukraine has also lost,” Orban said.

 

The Hungarian leader did not specify what specific strategy he was referring to, but his government has consistently opposed EU sanctions targeting Russia and refused to send weapons to Kiev. Budapest has instead called for negotiations to find a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.

 

Orban stressed that resolving the Ukraine conflict on the battlefield is “impossible” and insisted that it can only be ended through diplomacy, which would also help reduce, or completely prevent, further casualties.

He added that theEU should never have entered this path and that it is now crucial to “slow down, stop, thank the generals for their service, bring back the diplomats and foreign ministers, and begin working toward peace.”

 

Orban’s comments come as key EU powers have continued to advocate continued military support for Ukraine. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz suggested on Wednesday that diplomacy has been “exhausted” and vowed to keep sending arms to Kiev.

 

France’s defense minister has also called the demilitarization of Ukraine - one of Russia’s key demands - a “red line,” arguing that Kiev must retain a standing army if it ends up being denied NATO membership.

 

However, other leaders have voiced skepticism. Czech President Petr Pavel, a pro-Russia hardliner, recently said the EU must reconsider its Russia strategy, warning that fighting Moscow “endlessly” would lead to massive casualties and economic damage to both Ukraine and the EU.

 

Russia has repeatedly denounced Western military backing for Ukraine, saying it only prolongs the war. President Vladimir Putin have also described Europe’s sanctions and attempts to phase out Russian energy as “economic suicide.”

Netanyahu is promoting this twisted plan in Washington, where he explained while insulting the intelligence of the entire world that “it’s called free choice. If people want to stay, they can stay; but if they want to leave, they should be able to leave.” The prime minister added, without a shred of shame, that Gaza “shouldn’t be a prison. Although this sounds like a parody of the idea of reconstruction, it’s not theoretical. To support President Donald Trump’s deportation drive, the Department of Homeland Security assembled a “tiger team” of intelligence analysts who built dossiers on about 100 foreign students and scholars engaged in pro-Palestinian activity, the records show.

 

More than 75 of those people were identified by the shadowy website Canary Mission, according to deposition testimony unveiled this week in a case challenging the Trump administration’s targeting of pro-Palestinian scholars.

According to Armstrong, the conference calls with Miller lasted about 15 minutes to an hour and involved other officials from the Homeland Security Council, the State Department and Homeland Security Department.

 

The extent of the White House’s involvement in singling out particular students remains unclear because the White House asserted executive privilege to conceal the details of Miller’s exchanges with agency officials.

Poland threatens to close key Ukraine military aid hub

Polish President Andrzej Duda has threatened to shut down the country’s main transit hub for Western military aid to Ukraine,accusing Kiev and NATO of treating Polish infrastructure as if it were their own.

 

Warsaw has been one of Kiev’s strongest supporters since the escalation of the conflict with Russia in 2022. The airport in Rzeszow, located just 80km from the Ukrainian border,has served as a vital logistics hub.

 

According to Polish and Western officials, between 80-90% of NATO and partner-supplied military equipment destined for Ukraine has passed through the facility, including weapons, ammunition, and vehicles.

 

However, speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Duda expressedfrustrationthat Poland had not been included in key international bodies responsible for decisions on Ukraine aid delivered via Polish territory. He described the situation as a “scandal.”

 

“They [Ukraine and NATO] think that the airport in Rzeszow and our highways belong to them, as if they’re theirs. Well, they’re not. They’re ours,” the president said.

 

Duda insisted that if Ukraine and its Western partners continued to treat the use of Polish territory as a given, Warsaw could shut down the hub “for maintenance.”

 

“If someone doesn’t like it, we close it and goodbye,” he said“Deliver [the aid] by sea, by air, I don’t know, drop it by parachute.”(Kekkity, that is funny)

Duda is scheduled to leave office in August and will be succeeded by Karol Nawrocki, a historian and head of the Institute of National Remembrance.

 

Nawrocki has publicly opposed Ukraine’s potential accession to both NATO and the EU, arguing that the country is not ready and that full membership would carry unacceptable security risks. He has also condemned Kiev’s veneration of wartime nationalist figures linked to atrocities against Poles during World War II.

 

Following his inauguration, Nawrocki is expected to meet with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, but his administrationis expected to adopt a more confrontational stance on bilateral relations and EU integration.

‘New’ ideas on Ukraine discussed in talks with Lavrov – Rubio

The US secretary of state has described his conversation with the Russian foreign minister on Thursday as “frank” and “important”

 

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said he and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed “new and different” ideas on resolving the Ukraine conflict during their meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN forum in Malaysia on Thursday.

 

Commenting after the talks,Rubio described them as “frank and important,” adding that he would brief US President Donald Trump on the discussion later on Thursday.

 

The two diplomats met for around an hour, according to Reuters.

 

The US will continue to talk to both Russia and Ukrainein an effort to bring peace closer, Rubio said. “Our strategy isto continue to engage all the parties that are involved in finding an outcome to this conflict,” he told journalists when asked about Trump’s approach to resolving the standoff.

 

“We will engage anytime we have an opportunity to do so like we did today.”

 

According to Rubio, he and Lavrov discussed a possible roadmap for ending the Ukraine conflict and “shared some ideas about what that might look like.”He also expressed hope that Russia would demonstrate more “flexibility” in its approach.

 

The new proposals do not necessarily “guarantee peace,” Rubio said, but added that they could still be “something to build on.”

 

The Russian Foreign Ministrydescribed the talks as a “substantive and frank exchange of opinions” regarding the settlement of the Ukraine conflict.

 

The two sides also strive torevive bilateral economic ties as well as “unimpeded” contacts, the Ministry said, noting the importance of normalizing the work of diplomatic missions and restoring direct flights between Russia and the US.

 

The talks on Thursday followed a phone conversation between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin last week. The American president said he was “unhappy” with his Russian counterpart, accusing Putin of not wanting to settle the Ukraine conflict. Putin “is very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless,” Trump claimed on Wednesday.

Russia prefers peaceful solution to Ukraine conflict – Kremlin

Battlefield realities are shifting as Kiev delays renewed talks, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has warned

 

Russia remains open to a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday. He warned that conditions on the ground are rapidly evolving as Kiev hesitates to continue direct negotiations.

Two rounds of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine have taken place this year in Istanbul – in mid-May and early June – but a third has yet to be scheduled. Peskov addressed the stalled diplomatic efforts during a routine press briefing.

”We should wait for some signals from the Kiev regime, who should say whether they want to hold a third round of direct talks or not,” Peskov said. “We have repeatedly said that we would prefer achieving our goals through peaceful political-diplomatic means.”

He added, “As long as this outcome is impossible, the special military operation continues, and realities on the ground are changing every day.”

His comments came as the United States reportedly resumed weapons deliveries to Ukraine following a brief pause. President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of “throwing a lot of bullsh*t” at Washington – remarks the Kremlin characterized as rhetorical flourishes typical of the American leader.

Trump maintains his interest in brokering a compromise to resolve the conflict. Initially Kiev agreed to resume direct talks with Moscow after the White House signaled support for renewed diplomacy. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgiy Tikhiy said in an interview this week that Kiev's consent to negotiations was partly driven by a desire to avoid being blamed by Western leaders for obstructing Trump’s peace agenda.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister SergeyLavrov met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubioduring the ASEAN forum in Malaysia.The two officials spoke for nearly an hour, after which Rubio downplayed the earlier pause in US military aid and urged European nations backing Kiev to increase their support.

”One of the things that the Ukrainians need is more Patriot batteries,”Rubio said, referencing the US-made long-range air defense systems.“There are Patriot batteries available in multiple countries in Europe, yet no one wants to part with them.”

(So the US cannot send the Patriot missiles to Ukraine, and Poland is balking about Ukraine using their airport and military hub, so it they may not allow more weapons there. It seems like a coordinated ruse so that Ukraine doesn’t cry a river)

 

He argued that countries prioritizing Ukraine’s defense should be willing to send Kiev equipment that is currently not being used.
