Ukraine is set to introduce a national program of military instruction targeting teenagers as young as 14, a senior Defense Ministry official revealed on Monday, amid struggles to maintain recruitment levels.

Ukraine’s armed forces rely on mass compulsory conscription, but the campaign has faced growing public resistance and complaints about its abusive execution.

The authorities, meanwhile, are pushing for early-stage education to instill what they describe as a nationwide culture of resistance.

Igor Khort, the acting head of the Defense Ministry department overseeing Ukraine’s national resistance policy, outlined the plan at a forum in Kiev.

He said students will begin instruction through a required curriculum titled ‘Defense of Ukraine’, and take part in organized paramilitary games.

University students will be expected to complete more in-depth coursework to prepare them mentally for eventual conscription. ”This is not about developing combat skills. It’s about instilling motivation,” Khort stated.

“The course Basics of National Resistance will be mandatory for both boys and girls. If someone doesn’t want to participate, they can leave the college.”

Khort noted that basic training will be required for all Ukrainians under 61, with programs made broadly accessible.

Paramilitary education for Ukrainian youth has existed in various forms since the 2014 Western-backed coup in Kiev, with far-right organizations often taking the lead in shaping ideological and tactical instruction for children.

In April, German journalists published footage of what the report described as a covert “military-style boot camp” for Ukrainian teens, one of several of its kind.

One teen participant was seen wearing insignia in the style of Nazi Germany, a recurring theme among Ukraine’s ultranationalist factions and some military units.

US energy giant returns to Libya

ExxonMobil has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) to restart operations that have been suspended for a decade in the conflict-ridden North African nation.

In a statement on Monday, NOC said the deal will enable ExxonMobil to carry out detailed technical studies of four offshore blocks near Libya’s northwest coast and the Sirte Basin.

“This MoU establishes a geological and geophysical study to identify the hydrocarbon resources in these blocks,” the corporation stated, adding it “paves the way for cooperation and the resumption of the partnership between NOC and ExxonMobil, which aims to restart its activities in Libya after a decade-long hiatus.”

The US company had previously signed an Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement with Libya in 2007 to explore four offshore blocks in the Sirte Basin, covering approximately 2.5 million acres.

However, in 2013, they scaled back operations, citing security risks and unreliable returns amid escalating instability.

The oil-rich country has remained fractured and volatile since the NATO-backed 2011 uprising that ousted and killed longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Libya holds Africa’s largest proven oil reserves, with an estimated 48 billion barrels – representing 41% of the continent’s total as of 2024 – according to the US Energy Information Administration.

Last month, NOC launched an energy exploration tender – its first major licensing round in nearly 18 years – in a bid to revive its oil sector, which has faced repeated disruptions from militia violence and political rivalries.

An official told Bloomberg that 37 international oil majors, including US multinational Chevron, French energy giant TotalEnergies, and Italy’s Eni, were participating in the public licensing round.

On Monday, NOC confirmed that ExxonMobil was among those that expressed interest in the bid, which include 22 offshore and onshore blocks for exploration.

Masoud Suleman, chairman of the NOC Board of Directors, said the terms of the latest deal with the world’s largest publicly traded energy company are now “more favorable” than in the past.

Ukrainian plot to assassinate Russian defense industry leader derailed – FSB

Russian agents have arrested a man accused of plotting to assassinate a general director of a defense industry enterprise on behalf of Ukraine, the Federal Security Service (FSB) has said.

The suspect also reportedly admitted he had been spying on the Russian army since last summer.

In a statement on Tuesday, the FSB said that a Russian national had made contact with a representative of an unnamed pro-Ukrainian terrorist group via Telegram.

He was ordered to travel to Bryansk Region which borders Ukraine, to recover a drone-dropped cache containing firearms and explosives, the agency said.

The weapons were intended for use in an assassination attempt on the head of a defense industrial facility in Belgorod, the FSB said. The suspect is now charged with high treason and faces up to life in prison.

The FSB also released a video in which the man confesses that since June 2024, while serving with Russian forces on the conflict frontline in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region, he relayed to Kiev data on the whereabouts of Russian army personnel and hardware as well as positions of electronic warfare and air defense systems.

In addition, he confessed to coordinating Ukrainian missile and artillery attacks and transmitting photographs and contact information of Russian military personnel.

The footage released by the FSB also shows the agency’s operatives driving up to the suspect in a minivan in a rural area. Within moments, the man, who is carrying a large backpack, is seen being pinned to the ground.

Another part of the video shows a forest stash containing what appears to be explosives and a handgun.

Russian authorities have accused Ukraine of organizing multiple sabotage and assassination attempts on Russian territory in recent months, including attacks targeting military commanders and other high-profile figures.

Moscow lists countries whose citizens took part in Ukrainian incursion into Russia

Foreign nationals from over ten countries took part in Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region, according to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Aleksandr Bastrykin.

Bastrykin told the media on the eve of the anniversary of the incursion that investigators identified individuals from Brazil, Colombia, Denmark, Georgia, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Sweden, the UK, and other nations as having fought alongside Ukrainian troops in the Western-supported raid.

Russian forces fully repelled the incursion in April, claiming that the attackers suffered around 76,000 casualties during the fighting, in which Ukrainian troops employed Western-supplied heavy weaponry.

Bastrykin said 331 civilians were killed and another 553 injured due to Ukraine’s actions in Kursk Region. The Investigative Committee has opened over 600 criminal cases related to the incursion, with around a third already referred for trial.

Moscow maintains that the incursion was an example of Kiev’s use of terrorist tactics, citing claims by captured soldiers that they were encouraged to use violence against civilians. Ukrainian officials have acknowledged that part of the goal was to apply pressure on the Russian public.

He detailed a range of alleged abuses, from a case in which unarmed civilians were beaten to death, to occurrences in which US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems were fired at civilian targets which Kiev allegedly knew held no military value.

Since the escalation of the conflict with Russia in 2022, Kiev has called on foreign nationals with military experience to join its armed forces, passing legislation to accommodate them.

Moscow does not recognize the fighters as lawful combatants, classifying them instead as mercenaries subject to prosecution.

In May, Bastrykin reported that the Russian authorities charged 902 people with acting as mercenaries under Ukraine’s command; 97 individuals from 26 different countries have been convicted.

Ukrainian intelligence agencies are actively using messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram against Russia, RT has learned. Kiev’s agents exploit loopholes in the platforms’ security to create fake identities and spread misinformation and chaos.

According to Russian investigators, Ukrainian intelligence officers, alongside other malicious actors like swindlers and con artists, often rely on databases containing personal data obtained through WhatsApp and Telegram that allows them to recruit agents or identify targets inside Russia.

These actions could be “significantly more challenging or outright impossible” if not for the lax security measures on the part of the messengers themselves, Russian investigators probing these cases believe.

One aspect of their digital security architecture that Moscow takes issue with is the international tech companies’ refusal to store sensitive personal data of Russian users within Russian jurisdiction.

The authorities have repeatedly reached out to the owners of both Telegram and WhatsApp, urging them to comply with Russian regulations, but to no avail.

Last month, the head of the State Duma’s Information Policy Committee, Sergey Boyarsky, warned that both messengers could be banned in Russia if they continue to ignore the law.

“Telegram does not comply with the existing legislation when it comes to the [storage] of personal data… and it will face sanctions, which are most likely to be more severe than now,” he told TASS at the time.

Russia is not the only nation facing these problems, according to law enforcement officials. Its partners within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have repeatedly reached out to Moscow for assistance with tackling radical and extremist content in messengers such as Telegram.

Moscow advocates digital sovereignty, encouraging Russian companies to develop isolated systems and promoting state-run platforms.

Russian tech giant VK is currently working on what could become a national messaging platform – Max – widely described as the Russian equivalent of China’s WeChat, which could provide a wide range of services within a single app.

Russian troops shoot down Ukrainian drones with assault rifles

A video showing Russian air defense troops using assault rifles against Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been obtained by RT. The footage was recorded during an attack on a freight train in Russia’s Zaporozhye Region.

Russian drone operators intercepted a signal from the Ukrainian drone and reported its location and designated targets to an air defense unit, one of the soldiers who took part in the defensive operation told RT’s Vlad Andrysta.

The air defense troops took up defensive positions and met the incoming UAVs with gunfire. The video provided by the military shows a large black craft flying at low altitude exploding midair after being hit by bullets. A second drone is seen sharing the same fate.

Russian troops shot down a total of six drones in the engagement, including four large drones, according to a soldier with the nickname ‘Dushman’. None of the Ukrainian UAVs reached the target and the freight train left the area safely, according to the military.

The incident took place near Tokmak, Zaporozhye Region. According to ‘Dushman’, who serves with a Russian anti-aircraft missile battalion, Ukrainian drones increasingly target trains and gas stations in the area, endangering the civilian population.

Earlier on Monday, regional officials in Volgograd Region, southern Russia, reported that Ukrainian drone attacks had disrupted passenger rail traffic and caused a power outage in the area overnight.

The Defense Ministry in Moscow said 61 fixed-wing drones had been downed during the raid, with around half intercepted over the Black Sea and Voronezh Region.

Officials in Kiev have described Ukrainian drone operations as an attempt to increase pressure on Moscow and force an unconditional ceasefire.

The Russian authorities have accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure, insisting their own strikes are aimed strictly at military-related targets.

Ukrainian officials busted in ‘large-scale’ military bribery scheme

Several senior Ukrainian officials have been detained on suspicion of receiving up to 30% in kickbacks from military contracts, anti-corruption agencies have announced.

The arrests came just days after Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky was forced to abandon his attempts to restrict the independence of the anti-graft agencies.

In a statement on Saturday, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) said they had uncovered a “large-scale” corruption scheme involving contracts for the purchase of drones and electronic warfare systems for the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian media has identified three of the four suspects – Aleksey Kuznetsov, an MP with Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, former Lugansk Governor Sergey Gayday, and Rubezhansky district head Andrey Yurchenko.

Between 2024 and 2025, the group allegedly created a scheme to steal budget funds allocated by local governments for defense needs.

One part of the scheme involved awarding a contract for electronic warfare systems at an intentionally inflated price, with the group receiving illegal benefits worth 30% of the contract amount.

A separate contract for FPV drones, worth around $240,000, was allegedly overpriced by around $80,000, with the company’s officials later handing over kickbacks to members of the group, the investigators said.

The same day, Zelensky stated that he had met with the heads of NABU and SAPO to discuss the scandal, calling it “absolutely immoral” and thanked the agencies for their good work.

Two weeks earlier Zelensky had attempted to bring both bodies under government control only for street protests to force him to sign off on their independence last week.

The High Court immediately suspended the dismissal of Gali Baharav-Miara

The Israeli government voted unanimously on Monday to fire Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, who is currently prosecuting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for corruption. The move was immediately suspended by the Israeli High Court.

Netanyahu and his supporters have accused Baharav-Miara of exceeding her powers by blocking decisions by the elected government, including a move to dismiss the head of Israel’s domestic security agency.

In a statement after the vote, Baharav-Miara called her dismissal “unlawful” and vowed that she and her office would remain faithful to the law and continue to act professionally and honestly.

“This is a fateful blow to the rule of law, equality before the law, human rights, and the ability of the law enforcement system to deal with government corruption,” she added.

The attempt to fire the attorney general for the first time in the country’s 78-year history was immediately frozen by the High Court until justices can rule on its legality. The government is barred from appointing a new attorney general and influencing Baharav-Miara’s operations before further instructions are issued.

Netanyahu did not take part in the hearing or vote on Baharav-Miara’s dismissal due to a conflict of interest over his ongoing criminal trial and the attorney general’s role as head of the prosecution.

Three criminal cases have been opened against Netanyahu, who has been charged with bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. He could face up to ten years in prison over the bribery allegations, while the fraud and breach of trust charges each carry up to three years.

Several hearings in Netanyahu’s long-running corruption trial have been canceled after a court accepted requests by the prime minister on classified diplomatic, security, and health grounds.

Opposition politicians have criticized the attorney general’s dismissal, calling it part of Netanyahu’s controversial judicial reform plan which sparked one of the largest protests in Israel’s history. Following a limited security meeting to discuss military plans for Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is heavily leaning toward occupying the Palestinian enclave, an unnamed source familiar with the details tells the Kan Public Broadcaster.

Other Hebrew-language news outlets, including Ynet and i24 News, carry similar reports, all quoting anonymous sources.

Today’s meeting was attended by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and Defense Minister Israel Katz, along with Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.

The IDF currently holds control over approximately 75 percent of the Gaza Strip, but under the new plan, the military would be expected to occupy the remaining territory as well, bringing the entire enclave under Israeli control.

One source tells Kan that the government is aware that the military campaign to gain full control over Gaza will likely endanger the remaining hostages, of whom 20 are believed to be alive.

The report says that the IDF and the defense establishment remain opposed to the plan, in part because it puts the hostages in danger of being executed by their captors should troops approach where they are being held.

According to Channel 12, the plan will be submitted to the full security cabinet for approval on Thursday.

The Prime Minister’s Office says in a brief statement that Netanyahu “held a limited security discussion today that lasted about 3 hours, in which the chief of staff presented the options for continuing the campaign in Gaza.”

Smartmatic Co-Founder Charged with Bribing Top Venezuelan Official.

Federal prosecutors have charged Smartmatic co-founder Roger Piñate with multiple counts of bribery and money laundering. They allege he provided a luxury residence in Caracas to Tibisay Lucena Ramírez, Venezuela’s top election official at the time, in exchange for political favors.

Prosecutors claim the property was transferred to Lucena Ramírez through a foreign shell company between April and July 2019, allegedly facilitated by an unnamed co-conspirator. This transfer reportedly occurred despite Smartmatic’s public claim that all business activities in Venezuela had ceased in 2017.

Smartmatic had pulled out of Venezuela after accusing the Maduro regime of committing electoral fraud during the 2017 National Constituent Assembly election. The company said it terminated operations in the country following that incident.

Prosecutors included these Venezuela-related allegations in a separate court filing connected to a $1 million bribery scheme involving Philippine election official Juan Andrés Donato Bautista. In that case, Piñate is accused of inflating the prices of voting machines and diverting the surplus into secret accounts used for bribes.

The U.S. government submitted the Venezuelan allegations to illustrate what they describe as a “pattern of alleged criminal behavior” by Piñate.

Smartmatic has strongly denied the claims. In a statement, the company said: “As an example, the government’s citation of an alleged bribe in Venezuela in 2019 is untethered from reality.

Smartmatic ceased all operations in Venezuela in August 2017 after blowing the whistle on the government and has never sought to secure business there again.” The company added, “We have always operated lawfully, ethically, and transparently. We stand by our two-decade track record of integrity.”

UK secret services plotting maritime ecological disaster — Foreign Intelligence Service

MOSCOW, August 4. /TASS/. The UK's secret services are planning to enlist NATO allies in a large-scale operation targeting the "shadow fleet," which could lead to an environmental disaster in international waters, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said in a statement obtained by TASS.

"British secret services are planning ecological disaster in international waters. The press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation informs that, according to the information coming to the SVR, the British secret services are planning to involve NATO allies in a massive roundup for the ‘shadow fleet’," the statement said.

According to London's plan, the impetus for such a campaign should be provided by "a resonant incident involving one or more tankers."

"The plan involves organizing a major act of sabotage the losses of which would allow the transportation of Russian oil to be declared a threat to all international shipping. This would untie Western countries’ hands in choosing methods of counteraction," the document said.

Two scenarios and actors

According to the SVR, the British are working on "two potential casus belli." "The first scenario implicates setting up an ‘unwanted’ tanker accident in one of bottlenecks of sea communications (for example, in straits). As it is believed in London, oil spills and fairway blocking would provide NATO countries with ‘sufficient’ grounds for establishing a precedent of ‘extraordinary’ vessel inspection under the guise of maritime safety and environmental regulations compliance," the statement noted.

"The second one involves setting fire to a tanker at loading in a port of a state friendly to Russia. It is expected that the fire would cause significant damage to the port infrastructure and spread to other vessels, which would require an international investigation," the SVR emphasized.

"London is going to entrust Ukrainian security forces with the implementation of both terrorist attacks. Their expectedly dirty work and inability to ‘cover up’ their tracks are considered by the British as a guarantee of impunity for themselves. The international investigation would hold either Russia or at worst Ukraine responsible for the accident, similar to the situation with the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion," the press bureau stressed.

Eying sanctions

The SVR pointed out that the timing of the UK attack is intended to be chosen so as to use the media effect from it to put pressure on the administration of US President Donald Trump.

"The aim is to force Washington, in defiance of its national interests, to impose the most severe secondary sanctions against Russian energy resources buyers, making them seen as ‘indirect culprits of the tragedy’," the statement said.

"It seems like nostalgia for the lost dominance at sea and for authorized by the Crown pirate lawlessness have completely deprived the British Intelligence of the remnants of common sense. It’s high time for our British colleagues to understand that their increasingly bold attempts not only ‘to get back at’ their rivals, but also to cause damage to the global energy security and ecology are capable to make even their most loyal allies run out of patience," the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service concluded.

Aircraft from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Germany, Belgium, and France airdropped 110 pallets of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip today, the IDF says.

Each pallet contains around one ton of food.

Since July 26, a total of 785 humanitarian aid packages have been airdropped in the Gaza Strip by nine countries, including Israel, according to the military. The packages the IDF airdropped were supplied by international aid groups.

Russian Special Ops Forces Capture Three British “Soldiers”

If true, this adds a new twist to the war in Ukraine. I first heard this claim a couple of days ago on BORZZIKMAN’s channel… The Russians captured three Brits in a small town west of Odessa. I was leery of reporting it without additional confirmation.

Then I found another source… the Eurasia Daily, which reported that Lieutenant Colonel Richard Carroll, and Colonel Edward Blake, both active-duty officers of the British Army, along with an as-yet-unidentified agent of British MI-6 (Intelligence) were captured during a daring raid by Russian Special Forces, in the city of Ohakiv. That city is shown on the scalable map below:

My longtime intelligence colleague, whom I know from working in the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and whom I fully trust, told me that Russian special forces landed from several ships and infiltrated the command center of the Ukrainian armed forces. They captured British soldiers who coordinated the use of British missiles and drones against Russian troops and civilian targets.

While I cannot rule out the possibility that this is circular reporting, I think the information is credible.

Trump’s golf buddy, Steve Witkoff, was supposed to go to Moscow for talks on Saturday, but the trip was pushed back, with no explanation. Now there are reports that Witkoff’s mission is to try to get the Russians to release the three British operatives. If I was Putin I would tell Witkoff something along these lines:

Putin: Mr. Witkoff, if the Mexican drug cartels were launching drones into Texas and killing civilians in San Antonio and Austin, would the United States take steps to eliminate that threat?

Witkoff: Yes Mr. President, we would not permit those attacks to go unanswered.

Putin: And what would Mr. Trump’s reaction be if, after he ordered Delta Force to raid the headquarters of the drug cartel, your soldiers captured two Chinese military officers and one Chinese intelligence officer, and that they possessed detailed documents outlining plans for future attacks inside the United States?

Witkoff: Well… uhh, umm… I am pretty sure that President Trump would want to make an example of them in order to send a strong message to the Chinese to cease all actions that threaten the lives of American citizens.

Putin: Precisely. Now you understand our position with respect to these British terrorists. They were not operating under the protection of the Geneva Convention, they are terrorist instigators and will be punished according to Russian law. However, there is a way out of this dilemma for both Britain and NATO: End your financial and military support for Ukraine immediately; recognize Russia’s sovereignty over the Republics of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporhyzhia and Kherson; withdraw your missiles from Poland and Romania, which present a potential existential threat to my country; end the economic sanctions the West has unjustly imposed on Russia; return our stolen assets, including the properties in the United States that President Obama wrongfully seized; and agree to sit down and negotiate, using the draft treaty I presented to President Biden in December 2021.

Witkoff: (Gulp and stuttering) Mr. President… I… uh… I’m not empowered to make any of those concessions. I must consult with President Trump.

Putin: Good. Make sure he understands our position and thank you for your attention to this matter. Have a safe trip home.

One can dream, can’t one? I am inclined to believe that the report of the capture of the three British terrorist spies is genuine because both the UK and Trump have not been issuing belligerent threats against Russia for the last couple of days. Russia holds some very valuable trump cards.

Unrelated to Ukraine and Russia, but also very important, is this news from Israel, which has been reported by dozens of media outlets: More than 500 former Israeli military and intelligence officers, specifically 550, sent an open letter to US President Donald Trump on August 2, 2025, urging him to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza. The letter was organized by Commanders for Israel’s Security (CIS), a group of retired senior defense and foreign service officials, including notable figures like former Mossad chief Tamir Pardo, former Shin Bet chief Ami Ayalon, former deputy Israeli army chief Matan Vilnai, and former Prime Minister Ehud Barak. They argued that Hamas no longer poses a strategic threat to Israel, that military objectives (dismantling Hamas’s military formations and governance) have been achieved, and that the remaining goal of securing the release of hostages can only be accomplished through a diplomatic deal. The letter emphasized Trump’s credibility with Israelis as a leverage point to push for a ceasefire, stop the suffering, and negotiate the return of approximately 20 hostages still held by Hamas, while warning that continuing the war risks Israel’s security and identity. The appeal came amid stalled ceasefire talks and reports of Netanyahu considering an expansion of military operations, which the signatories opposed.

Netanyahu didn’t miss a beat in responding. According to the Jerusalem Post:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached a decision for the full occupation of the Gaza Strip, including operations in areas where hostages are held, a source in the Prime Minister’s Office told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.

The Prime Minister’s Office conveyed the message to IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir: If this does not suit you, then you should resign.

CIA Analysts Who Helped Cook Up Phony Russiagate Intel Still Thriving In Deep State, Former Spy Says

Two analysts who helped Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan discredit President Donald Trump through weak or phony intelligence on Russian election interference continue to cash paychecks from the agency, according to a former CIA operations officer.

“At least two still do work there. That doesn’t mean that all of the other people have left. Those are just the two that I’m aware of,” former CIA Operations Officer Bryan Dean Wright told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

One of former authors remains in possession of a “blue badge,” meaning they remain a CIA employee, while another possesses a “green badge” and continues to do work for the agency as a contractor, Wright said. Others may retain their security clearances.

Wright has not held back his opinion about his former boss: He said in a recent op-ed that he should “rot in prison” for undermining the integrity of the Republic.

“These men thought they knew what was best for America, and they didn’t give a damn what voters like you thought,” he wrote.

Brennan — whose tenure at CIA spanned decades — likely cultivated generations of like-minded CIA employees, Wright said. The former CIA director’s influence probably continues to shape the agency’s culture by way of mentorships, friendships, promotion panels and hiring offices.

The CIA did not respond to requests for comment. A request for comment from Brennan through his consulting firm WestExec Advisors did not receive a reply.

Documents declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in recent days have revealed that President Barack Obama’s intelligence chiefs spun, cherrypicked and in some cases wholly manufactured raw intelligence reports to support the narrative — predetermined in leaks to the media — that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a “clear preference” for Trump and “aspired to help his election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton.”

The resulting 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment touched off years of Russiagate media frenzy. Though technically endorsed by the “big three” — the CIA, FBI and National Security Agency — just five CIA analysts under Brennan wrote the assessment, according to a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence report declassified on July 23. The analysts were plucked from a “Fusion Cell” Brennan had formed months earlier to examine Russian election interference, according to a CIA self-assessment declassified on July 2.

Britain’s Secret War: Russian commando seizes high ranking British agents in Ukraine War

A Spetsnaz commando from the “Alfa” and “Vympel” special forces units reportedly carried out a daring nighttime operation behind enemy lines in Ochakov, in the Nikolaev region, and “abducted” several British officers involved in the attacks on Crimea and Russia.

About 10 days ago, shrouded in thick fog, a commando from the “Alfa” and “Vympel” units

—the elite FSB Special Forces, whose primary mission currently lies in the fight against terrorism and organized crime, the rescue of hostages, and the protection of nuclear power plants

—stealthily entered the Ukrainian area of Kinburn Spit, south of Nikolaev, aboard three speedboats, quickly reaching one of the most strategic bases of the Ukrainian naval forces, located near Ochakov.

The primary objective of the operation codenamed “SKAT-12,” carefully prepared for nearly two months, was to capture key figures and obtain irrefutable evidence of foreign control of the war against Russia.

Russian intelligence conducted intensive monitoring before launching the operation: using sophisticated espionage tools aimed at the Ukrainian fleet base, they recorded the movements of figures whose profiles did not match those of Ukrainian military personnel.

Increased radio communication in English and nighttime helicopter patrols with their transponders turned off would later confirm and reveal the presence of foreign specialists.

The FSB had known for months about the presence of British officers and special forces in the area.

As early as April 2024, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) officially declared that the British Special Boat Service had been operating in Ukraine and had assisted Ukrainian forces in carrying out sabotage attempts and operations against Russian forces (Reuters, April 11, 2024).

After the recent massive NATO/Kiev attacks using British Storm Shadow missiles on Crimea and the Kerch Bridge, Russia began preparing retaliation—an asymmetric, unexpected, and harsh response.

Thus, on the night of July 18, around 2:40 a.m., three speedboats carrying Russian commandos reached the designated stretch of coast.

The weather conditions, with low clouds, strong winds, and the complete absence of moonlight, made for an ideal penetration.

The group consisted primarily of veterans of the legendary Alpha Special Forces, commanded by a reserve colonel known by the call sign “Scarface,” who had extensive experience conducting Special Operations in Chechnya, Syria, and Donbass.

The first phase—penetration and clearing of the outer perimeter—took no more than five minutes.

The Russian Spetsnaz silently eliminated the Ukrainian guards and opened access to the command bunker, where they captured three British Army officers.

The names of these three prisoners have been released. They are reportedly:

– Colonel Edward Blake, an officer in the 77th PsyOps (Psychological Operations) special unit, a specialist in strategic destabilization;

– Lieutenant Colonel Richard Carroll, a representative of the British Ministry of Defense who had previously participated in operations in the Middle East;

– an unidentified MI6 (British intelligence) agent who accompanied the British delegation under the guise of a cybersecurity consultant.

The British officers were reportedly stunned and tied up within seconds, without a single shot being fired.

Within 15 minutes of the operation, the Spetsnaz had fled the area, leaving false trails and evading Ukrainian UAV systems.

In addition to the “abduction” of the three British officers, compromising intelligence materials, diplomatic passports, organizational charts of subordinate Ukrainian units, and plans for further sabotage and terrorist attacks on Russian soil were also reportedly seized.

London reportedly appealed to the Russian Ministry of Defense, demanding the return of the British officers “missing” in Ukraine, claiming that the arrested were in Ukraine privately as tourists and that their presence in Ochakov was entirely accidental.

The three “supposedly only wanted to visit some sites on the coast, the scene of World War II battles.”

However, the Russians are NOT aware that the detained British “tourists” were equipped with beach towels and cameras, while maps marking strategic targets in Crimea, diagrams of defense systems, and other items were found as documents marked “Secret,” including sensitive instructions on cooperation with Ukrainian UAV operators.

Furthermore, the British officers were reportedly found in possession of USB sticks containing encrypted data and protocols for communication with the British General Staff.

Since the “tourists” excuse didn’t hold water, London attempted to classify their undercover terrorists as prisoners of war.

But the Russians quickly responded that the three did not fall into that category.

After all, formally, the United Kingdom and Russia are not at war.

Therefore, from the Ministry of Defense, the Russians reportedly let the British know that the captured British soldiers are NOT subject to a prisoner exchange via Red Cross aircraft and that they will be treated as saboteurs or terrorists, summoned to court, and tried by a Russian court.

Conclusions. If all this is confirmed, the NATO “tourists” in Ukraine face a long stay in a penal colony in Siberia or the Far North of Russia.

Furthermore, Operation “SKAT-12” would be a classic example of the fieldwork carried out by Soviet and Russian Special Forces: preparation, secrecy, coordination, and surgical strike.

One of the most daring operations conducted by the Russians during the Special Military Operation.

According to another source insisting on the legal aspects of this issue this is a case that has attracted international attention and harsh criticism, since the United Kingdom is accused of flagrantly violating international law through the covert deployment of military officers to active conflict zones in Ukraine.

The recent capture of two British Army officers, Edward Blake and Richard Carroll, by Russian special forces has exposed a pattern of duplicity by the British Ministry of Defence and further exposed the British government’s clandestine role in the escalating war between Ukraine and Russia.

Initially, the British Ministry of Defence insisted that Blake and Carroll were in London.

However, photographic and forensic evidence presented by Russian authorities showed both officers in full military uniform, operating in a disputed area in Ukraine.

The British government quickly changed its story, claiming that the officers were simply “tourists visiting battlefields,” a claim met with international disbelief and domestic ridicule.

Contrary to the UK’s claims, Russia has publicly disclosed that the captured officers were in possession of classified NATO military planning documents and diplomatic passports, direct evidence that contradicts their civilian version and points to a coordinated military mission, likely authorized at the highest levels of British command.

The diplomatic passports raise disturbing questions about whether these officers were operating under false flags or engaged in sabotage missions on Ukrainian soil under direct orders from the UK.

Following further challenges, the UK Ministry of Defence reversed its stance again, demanding that the captured officers be treated as prisoners of war.

However, the Russian Federation formally rejected this classification, citing the Geneva Conventions and the illegality of unrecognized combatants operating in a sovereign conflict zone without proper declaration.

A senior Russian security official stated: “Planned sabotage does not justify clemency. This is not a game of diplomacy; this is war. The noose is what they have earned.”

Compounding the crisis is the revelation that a third British citizen, presumably an MI6 agent, has been arrested, though Russian sources have withheld personal details.

The opacity surrounding this third detainee suggests a deeper, ongoing intelligence operation that the British government is actively trying to conceal from the public.

This incident does not simply reflect profligate military adventurism; it reveals a worrying normalization of illegal foreign intervention by the British government.

IDF bans Chinese vehicles from bases amid espionage fears

The IDF is banning Chinese-made vehicles from entering its bases, citing concerns about potential information leaks through the vehicles’ sensors and cameras.

As first reported by Calcalist, the military initially restricted parking for Chinese vehicles at the Israeli C4I Corps (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) base in Tzrifin.

That restriction has since been expanded to include all electric vehicles. Owners of affected vehicles are now required to park in designated areas located away from key facilities on base.

Israel is not alone in its caution. The UK imposed a similar ban this year, prohibiting Chinese vehicles from accessing military installations.

Notably, the IDF itself offers officers a Chinese vehicle, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, through its leasing program. However, this model has undergone “sterilization” of its media systems prior to use.

Other Chinese electric vehicles were excluded from the Defense Ministry’s most recent leasing tender for permanent personnel.

As of last year, Chinese manufacturers accounted for nearly 25% of Israel’s car imports and now dominate the electric vehicle segment.

As a result, many permanent and civilian IDF employees may find themselves unable to bring their personal vehicles onto base.

Compounding the issue is the fact that Chinese automakers are currently the only ones offering electric vehicles under ₪170,000 and hybrids under ₪150,000.

This pricing dynamic could complicate future Defense Ministry procurement tenders, potentially eliminating the most affordable vehicle options from consideration.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit declined to comment on the matter.

Big Tech And AI Firms Are “Winning” Under Trump’s Second Administration

While Big Tech and AI firms may be winning under Donald Trump’s 2nd presidency, the American people are going to suffer as Technocracy rises.

Big Tech and Artificial Intelligence firms are having one hell of a week.

First, last week US President Donald Trump unveiled his “Winning the AI Race: America’s AI Action Plan”, which called for accelerating the rollout of data centers necessary for the expansion of AI, and removing federal regulations on AI. His plan also calls for seeking direct input from the big tech bros on which regulations should be voided.

These statements were followed by the announcement of the “Make Health Tech Great Again” initiative which called for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to partner with Amazon, Anthropic, Apple, Google, OpenAI and other information technology firms to “begin laying the foundation for a next-generation digital health ecosystem”.

While these announcements were promoted as great advancements for public health, in reality they will offer only minimal benefits to the people, and massive gains in advancing the Technocratic State desired by many of these firms.

The Technocrat’s AI Action Plan

The AI Action Plan is the latest step to implement an executive order issued by Trump in January titled Removing Barriers to American Leadership in AI. The Trump admin claims this plan will help bring about a “new golden age of human flourishing”.

The Trump White House highlighted four focuses of the plan, including partnering with big tech to “deliver secure, full stack AI export packages” to allies of the United States. These packages would feature everything from hardware, models, software, and applications. Given the US intelligence apparatus’ history of spying on its allies one wouldn’t be surprised if some nations reject these AI packages.

The plan also calls for “expediting and modernizing” permits for data centers. The Trump administration has been working to rapidly expand the creation of data centers around the US largely in relation to the creation of AI expansion which will require massive data centers. The order also aims to remove “onerous Federal regulations” which allegedly hinder the development and deployment of AI. The Trump admin is making no secret of going directly to the AI industry for “input on rules to remove”.

Finally, the plan calls for “upholding free speech in frontier models” by updating Federal procurement guidelines to make sure the US government only contracts with AI developers whose systems are “objective and free from top-down ideological bias”. This is part of Trump’s effort to diminish so-called “Woke AI”, an admittedly admirable goal. However, when factoring in the admin’s unquestionable support for Israel and calls for censorship in the name of fighting “anti-semitism”, its not hard to imagine the admin supporting AI models built with this same bias.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had a "productive conversation" with U.S. President Donald Trump on Aug. 5, discussing ending Russia's war and coordinating military and diplomatic efforts.

The Ukrainian president added that Trump is "fully informed about Russian strikes on Kyiv and other cities and communities."

Russia's most recent mass attack on Kyiv was also its most deadly, killing 31 and injuring more than 150 on July 31.

Zelensky also spoke about sanctions, saying that Moscow is "sensitive" to the prospect of new U.S. penalties and to Trump's "resolve," calling it a lever that "can change a lot."

Ryazan oil refinery halves output after drone attack – Reuters

Ryazan oil refinery, operated by the Rosneft oil company, has halted around half its refining capacity since August 2 following a Ukrainian drone attack last week.

That is according to three industry sources, Ukrinform reports, citing Reuters.

According to the sources, two primary oil refining units were stopped following the drone attacks - CDU-3 with a capacity of 8,600 tonnes per day, and CDU-4 with a capacity of 11,400 tonnes per day.

At the moment, the Ryazan refinery is operating with the primary oil refining unit CDU-6, which has capacity of 23,200 tonnes per day - around 48% of total capacity.

Last year, the refinery processed 13.1 million tonnes of crude oil, produced 2.3 million tonnes of motor gasoline, 3.4 million tonnes of diesel, 4.2 million tonnes of fuel oil, and 1.0 million tonnes of jet, according to industry sources.

Meanwhile, Rosneft's Novokuibyshevsk refinery was also damaged by drone attacks and has been halted since August 2.

She’s calling out the establishment for ditching the core issues that matter: slashing foreign aid to endless wars, unleashing DOGE to gut government waste, halting the skyrocketing national debt, and battling inflation head-on.

“Like what happened all those issues? You know that I don’t know what the hell happened with the Republican Party. I really don’t,” she fumed. “But I’ll tell you one thing, the course that it’s on, I don’t want to have anything to do with it, and I, I just don’t care anymore.”

The frustration is hitting close to home in her own state. Greene says Georgia’s GOP is a captured operation, run by donors who talk a big game but cave to establishment pressure.

She won’t be running for Senate in 2026, not because she couldn’t win, but because, she says, the state party is already rigging the game for another “lukewarm” moderate to run against Democrat Jon Ossoff.

And without Trump on the ticket, she warns, it’s likely a lost cause.

Russian drone and artillery strikes in Zaporizhzhia Oblast killed four people and injured three others on Aug. 4, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported early the next day.

"During the day, the occupiers carried out 431 strikes on 16 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast," Fedorov said in a Telegram post.

Residential buildings, homes, commercial buildings, and warehouses were damaged in 21 reported instances.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has issued a series of subpoenas for records and testimony from former government officials that pertain to Jeffrey Epstein.

The House Oversight Committee is usually the place where investigations go to die.

WASHINGTON DC – The House Oversight Committee on Tuesday issued subpoenas for Department of Justice records on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, as well as for interviews with a slate of former government officials in connection to the case.

Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) announced that he was summoning nearly a dozen former officials to appear for depositions on the Epstein investigation — a list that includes former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Comer was required to send the subpoenas after a Democratic-led subcommittee vote in July.

The move is the latest in a broader battle over the Epstein files, which took the Trump administration by storm last month as anger boiled over from within MAGA circles about the administration’s handling of the case.

The committee’s subpoena of Bill Clinton in particular seems more symbolic than substantive.No former president has ever testified to Congress under the compulsion of a subpoena — and lawmakers have tried only twice before: once in 1953, when the House Un-American Activities Committee subpoenaed Harry Truman, and once in 2022, when the Jan. 6 select committee subpoenaed Donald Trump.

Neither president testified in those instances, and the Justice Department has long cited Truman’s example — though not backed by any legal precedent — to suggest that it is improper for Congress to compel even former presidents to testify, given separation of powers concerns.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche also met with Epstein co-conspirator and convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell last month amid the heightened public pressure.

Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for child sex trafficking and other crimes, was moved to a minimum-security federal prison camp in Texas just days after her meetings with Blanche — a transfer that came as Trump has made clear that a pardon for the convicted sex offender is within his purview.

Gaza Ambush Foiled by Israeli Drone Surveillance

What could’ve been a deadly ambush from armed terrorists along the IDF’s logistical route in Gaza was prevented by advanced drone surveillance on July 30 as reported by Israel National News.

That Wednesday, Golani 13th Battalion drones spotted a squad of 12 terrorists armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles, RPG grenade launchers, and tactile vests about 100 meters from where a previous clash had taken place.

The drone team was able to track their movements based on footprints they had left behind along the route. The IDF sent an attack drone to the location. No shots were fired on account of poor weather conditions.

The terrorists, who were hiding under blankets to prevent such detection, noticed the drone and fled into a tunnel. Around this time, Israeli forces were notified of an enemy UAV in the same area overseeing the planned ambush.

Field officials stressed that “this was a well-planned incident which included the use of a drone, weapons, and combat gear, and aimed to harm the forces on the main vehicular route.”

In addition, “The drone team tracked the movement of the terrorists thanks to footprints on an armored vehicle route that was covered in powder, which enabled precise detection of their movement.”

The terrorists’ hiding spot and retreat were recorded by the drone as it traced their footsteps. With the latest in drone and surveillance technology, security in Israel continues to evolve from mitigating damage and losses to fully preventing them.

This past week, the Israeli Air Force had intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Houthi terrorists in Yemen –resulting in no injuries, deaths, or damage.

Australia To Buy 11 Advanced Warships From Japan: Defence Minister

Australia will upgrade its navy with 11 Mogami-class frigates built by Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Defence Minister Richard Marles said on Tuesday.

"This is clearly the biggest defence-industry agreement that has ever been struck between Japan and Australia," Marles said, touting the US$6 billion deal.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was awarded the tender over Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems.

Australia announced a major restructuring of its military in 2023, turning towards long-range strike capabilities to better respond to China's naval might.

Mogami-class warships are advanced stealth frigates equipped with a potent array of weapons.

Marles said they would replace Australia's ageing fleet of Anzac-class vessels, with the first Mogami-class ship to be in service by 2030.

"The Mogami-class frigate is the best frigate for Australia," said Marles.

"It is a next-generation vessel. It is stealthy. It has 32 vertical launch cells capable of launching long-range missiles."

Defence industry minister Pat Conroy said the frigates were capable of launching long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles.

"The acquisition of these stealth frigates will make our navy a bigger navy, and a more lethal navy," he said.

Australia announced plans in 2021 to acquire US-designed nuclear-powered submarines, scrapping a years-long plan to develop non-nuclear subs from France. Which they paid for but never got, it was a scam.

Explosive device found in drone from Belarus that crashed in Lithuania

An unmanned aerial vehicle that entered Lithuanian airspace from Belarus and crashed at a military training ground last week was carrying an explosive device, officials said Tuesday.

“The examination of the drone revealed it was transporting an explosive charge, which was successfully neutralised on-site by Lithuanian Armed Forces specialists,” Prosecutor General Nida Grunskienė said at a press conference in Vilnius.

Colonel Dainius Paškevičius, chief of staff of the Air Force, commented that two kilograms of explosive material were found in the drone.

“For comparison, a Shahed or Shahed-type drone, which has a similar structure and model, can carry up to 50 kilograms of explosive material,” said the officer.

After the device was defused, the drone’s components were sent for further forensic examination, he added.

The drone crashed in the Gaižiūnai military training area in Jonava District last Monday but was only discovered four days later, on Friday.

This marks the second such incident in recent weeks. On July 10, a drone identified as a Gerbera model also entered Lithuanian airspace from Belarus.

Grunskienė said preliminary evidence suggests the latest drone may also have been a Gerbera, though the investigation is ongoing.

Military officials believe both incidents may be linked to Russian drone activity in the region.

They suspect the aircraft were redirected by Ukrainian electronic warfare systems while Russia was targeting Ukraine with drones.

However, officials said they are keeping all investigative possibilities open and have not ruled out other explanations.

The incidents have raised concerns in Lithuania about the security of its airspace.

The United States could soon ease its rules for flying commercial drones beyond an operator’s direct line of sight, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed Tuesday at a press briefing.

The 731-page proposed regulation would eliminate the current case-by-case, waiver-based process needed to fly a drone Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS).

The shift could “unleash American drone dominance” and have wide-reaching affects on the manufacturing, farming, energy production, filmmaking, delivery and medical industries, Duffy said.

Remotely piloted drones could travel over longer distances to deliver packages, inspect infrastructure and assist in multi-acre farming tasks.

“Industry needs this rule to make sure they can use this technology that’s going to allow them to do business more efficiently and effectively,” he said.

Aircraft would fly at or below 400 feet above ground level, and some could weigh up to 1,320 lbs.

Detection technology would prevent drones from interfering with “operations and traffic patterns at airports, heliports, seaplane bases, space launch” and more sites, the proposal’s fact cheek says.

Both recreational pilots and commercial operators are currently required to keep their drones within either the pilot’s or a visual observer’s unaided line of sight, per FAA guidance.

The proposed rule would scrap that. Industry leaders have 60 days for comment before it is put into effect. “Today we have drones in operation in our skies. It’s not as regulated perhaps as it should be.

It’s done on an ad hoc basis, which makes it very, very difficult to manage, and it makes for an uneven playing field as well which is frankly a headwind,” FAA Administrator Brian Bedford said.

The FAA and DOT will partner with TSA to ensure that operations supervisors and flight coordinators are properly vetted, Duffy said.

Johnson, who is the third-highest-ranking official in the US political system, said in Ariel that he would work to stop the use of the term “West Bank” at the federal level, instead promoting the exclusive use of the term “Judea and Samaria.”

Yesha Council: Trump admin. sees West Bank as part of Israel

The visit by the speaker marked the peak of a campaign by the Yesha Council to promote the application of Israeli sovereignty in the West Bank. A few weeks ago, the council passed by a large majority a declaration calling for sovereignty to be applied in the area, stating that “Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley are an inseparable part of the Land of Israel, the historical, cultural, and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people.”

Yesha Council director-general Omer Rahamim told The Jerusalem Post that the US sees the region as part of Israel, with the responsibility to apply sovereignty now in Israel’s hands.

In his visit, Johnson was joined by US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and his daughter, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen strategic ties between Israel and the US and deepen familiarity with the area, with an emphasis on the public discourse in the US surrounding Israeli sovereignty in the region.

During a gathering in Ariel with senior members of the Yesha Council, including Rahamim, chairman Israel Ganz, and Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, Johnson said, “Every corner of this land is important to us. It is an inseparable part of our faith, and therefore, its meaning to us is tremendous. But to be here, exactly where you are, at the true cradle of our beliefs, is even more significant.”

Gov. Huckabee Sanders, who was present at the event, was the first US state official to pass a resolution to exclusively use the term “Judea and Samaria.” Her father said he tells people that God gave Israel a tiny strip of land, perhaps the most contested land in the world, and said, “This is yours.”

He added that “America has many friends and allies, but truly only one genuine partner, and that is Israel.”

Ganz said it was a great honor to host Johnson.

“The American administration under President [Donald] Trump is choosing the right side of history and walking hand in hand with the State of Israel,”

He stated that the recognition of the West Bank as part of Israel will lead to prosperity and improve living conditions for all residents. He thanked the delegation for its support in advancing this vision.

Ariel Mayor Yair Chetboun added that hosting this summit was a national and diplomatic mission. He expressed pride that Ariel, the “capital of Samaria,” was chosen for the historic meeting, and thanked the US administration, Trump, and his team for their support.

DHS added Israel provision for funding grants in April

FEMA maintains its own set of terms and conditions for Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) recipients. These apply, however, in addition to the DHS’s own terms and conditions as FEMA is a part of DHS.

The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed to Just the News that the agency added a contentious provision to its terms and conditions requiring that funding recipients not support boycotts of Israeli companies in April 2025.

A Reuters report on Monday stated that the Trump administration had linked $1.9 billion in disaster aid to the Israel requirement, leading to widespread outcry.

DHS on Monday stated that the Federal Emergency Management Agency did not include any requirements related to Israel in its notices of funding opportunities (NOFO).

“There is NO FEMA requirement tied to Israel in any current NOFO. No states have lost funding, and no new conditions have been imposed,” DHS posted on X. “FEMA grants remain governed by existing law and policy and not political litmus tests. DHS will enforce all anti-discrimination laws and policies, including as it relates to the BDS movement, which is expressly grounded in antisemitism. Those who engage in racial discrimination should not receive a single dollar of federal funding.”

FEMA maintains its own set of terms and conditions for Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) recipients. These apply, however, in addition to the DHS’s own terms and conditions as FEMA is a part of DHS. The DHS statement is accurate in that FEMA’s terms and conditions did not include an Israel provision, though the overarching DHS terms did, meaning that the Israel provision would have theoretically applied to FEMA grants.

At issue was a part of the DHS terms and conditions that included an Israel boycott provision under its anti-discrimination clause. The statement read as follows:

“Discriminatory prohibited boycott means refusing to deal, cutting commercial relations, or otherwise limiting commercial relations specifically with Israeli companies or with companies doing business in or with Israel or authorized by, licensed by, or organized under the laws of Israel to do business.”

Traffic stop in Jupiter escalates into foot chase, ends with drone-assisted arrests

What started as a routine traffic stop in Jupiter turned into a chaotic chase that ended with three men in cuffs and a drone overhead.

The Jupiter Police Department (JPD) reported that it started at a traffic stop at 8:20 p.m. on July 31 near the intersection of South Central Boulevard and Toney Penna Drive. However, that's when all three occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.

Officers said they quickly established a perimeter and initiated a search, using aerial support from a JPD drone.

The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Obed J. Godines Perez, 21-year-old Erick R. Mateo-Perez, and 19-year-old Enrique Diego Andres, were eventually found and taken into custody.

During the apprehension, the Police said Andres resisted arrest and was subdued with a Taser before being safely detained.

All three suspects were transported to the Palm Beach County Jail and face charges including fleeing to elude and resisting arrest.

Pentagon Confirms Withdrawal From Syria Bases, Expects Arab-Kurdish Conflict

The Pentagon has officially confirmed that United States forces had withdrawn from some of their bases in northern and eastern Syria.

The forces left Mission Support Site Green Village, H2 and Mission Support Site Euphrates last May, the latest quarterly report from the Defense Department’s Inspector General said.

All three sites lay in the vast region known as the middle Euphrates River valley. The Mission Support Site Green Village is located within the al-Omar oil field in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, while the Mission Support Site Euphrates is located in the Conoco gas plant in the eastern countryside of the governorate which is located in eastern Syria.

U.S. forces “either dismantled and removed or handed over infrastructure” to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the key partner of the U.S.-led coalition in Syria, according to the report, which was published on July 29.

The report said that U.S. forces at the three bases either relocated to other sites in Syria or Iraq or returned home after completing their tour of duty.

It also notes that the U.S. withdrew from an area where relations remain strained between the SDF and the Arab tribal leaders, who view the SDF as occupiers who selectively dole out resources and protections based on cultural preference. Without U.S. forces to bridge the differences, tensions between the groups are expected to rise, the report assessed.

Fox News reported in May that 500 U.S. troops had left bases in northern and eastern Syria. The withdrawal was carried out in line with Pentagon plans to eventually reduce the American military presence in the war-torn country to one base and fewer than 1,000 troops.

The Pentagon’s assessment is very realistic. Tensions are already mounting between the SDF and Arab tribes in northern and eastern Syria. Many of these tribes have already pledged their allegiance to the country’s new Islamist-led interim government.

An agreement reached in May to merge the SDF into the government is yet to move forward and clashes along the front with government forces are becoming more frequent.

The former spy chief who organized and co-authored the infamous Hunter Biden laptop letter ahead of the 2020 election also played a key role in helping Hillary Clinton in 2016 smear Donald Trump by tying him to Russia's Vladimir Putin.

Mike Morell, the former acting CIA director, injected into the American political bloodstream the idea that Trump was an “agent” of Putin and Russia, a refrain that would be repeated over and over again by the Clinton campaign.

Similar to recruiting 51 ex-spies in 2020 to falsely claim the laptop was somehow tied to Russia, Morell also led a letter in 2016 signed by over 50 former national security officials who insinuated Trump had nefarious links to Putin’s Russia.

Morell’s claims would be heavily relied upon by the Clinton campaign throughout the summer and fall of 2016, and Clinton would personally and repeatedly tout Morell’s endorsement and his claims about Trump and Putin.

Newly declassified evidence shows the FBI was alerted to intelligence in 2016 indicating Clinton planned to smear Trump by linking him to Russia in an effort to distract from her scandal surrounding the sending of classified emails on an illicit email server.

That same intelligence, gathered from Russia, also suggested the FBI's leaders played right into the campaign's strategy by conducting a sweeping investigation into false claims of Trump-Russia collusion.

Clinton campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri strongly implied in a 2017 Washington Post article that the Clinton campaign had sought Morell out in the summer of 2016 to encourage him to weigh in publicly about Trump and Russia, and Clinton herself also hinted at this in her 2017 campaign memoir, What Happened.

Morrell told the New York Times that he decided to weigh in in 2016 on his own and not due to outside considerations.

As reported by Just the News, public records show Clinton herself, in coordination with Palmieri, her campaign general counsel Marc Elias, campaign manager Robby Mook, campaign chairman John Podesta, campaign policy adviser Jake Sullivan, and others launched an effort to link Trump to Putin as the 2016 battle for the White House raged.

The Clinton campaign also funded through its law firm British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s now-discredited dossier and spread the false claims of a secret communications channel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank.

Newly declassified evidence dubbed the "Clinton Plan intelligence" included purported intercepted communications from a George Soros ally suggesting that Clinton’s 2016 campaign against Trump was plotting an effort to demonize the Republican nominee by connecting him to Putin, and that the Clinton campaign expected the FBI would put more fuel on the fire.

Giza, between wonder and chaos

The big tourism star in Egypt is still Giza. Its pyramids are the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the country.

But everything around it has grown out of control: cars, guides, sellers, tours, shouting, scams… what should be a magical moment turns into a chaotic experience for many, and something has to be done about it.

The situation reached such a point that the government launched a plan to reorganize access to the necropolis. What does it include?

A new entry point from the Cairo to Fayoum road, reorganizing the entire area, restoring tombs, boosting online ticket sales, and promoting eco-friendly transport inside the site… For whatever reason, limiting the tourist rate is not part of their plans.

Orascom’s plan

The company Orascom Pyramids is leading the change to turn this tourist spot into a top-level destination, and yes, Giza is not just any place, it’s the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing.

And yes, something needed to be done. The complaints were becoming more and more visible. On social media, stories pile up from travelers who felt harassed by resellers, scammed or directly tricked.

And most of us travel based on what we hear, if all we hear about Egypt is bad, it’s normal that people don’t want to come visit the country. That’s when the new tourism plan begins.

And what about the animals?

Another issue that caused a lot of criticism was the treatment of animals. For years, tourists have been able to ride camels, donkeys or horses… but in very questionable conditions.

PETA and other organizations have long denounced that many of these animals are malnourished, injured or simply mistreated.

In a world where everything gets recorded, shared and commented on instantly, just a couple of viral videos can damage the reputation of a destination.

And Egypt cannot afford that. That’s why this change is not just a matter of image or ethics: it’s a necessity if they want to keep attracting travelers for generations.

Taking care of what they have, organizing the chaos, and protecting both the monuments and the visitors (and the animals) is the only way for the country to keep shining as one of the most incredible destinations in the world. Because yes, the pyramids are eternal… but tourists’ patience is not.

The declassified revelations from special counsel John Durham’s report included purported emails from Leonard Benardo, a top official at George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, and alleged communications by Clinton foreign policy adviser Julianne Smith. Benardo denied writing the messages, while Smith said she didn’t remember having done so but couldn’t rule out proposing such a Clinton plan.

The newly declassified annex of the report also shows Durham found some corroborating evidence for the intercepts but concluded the purported emails from Benardo were likely mashups or composites of what Russian spies had probably collected from multiple Clinton allies.

Smith was the head of the Clinton campaign’s Europe team and worked as a foreign policy advisor for the failed 2016 bid. Smith had been deputy national security advisor to then-Vice President Joe Biden during the Obama administration.

The Durham classified annex assessed that “it is a logical deduction [REDACTED] [Julianne] Smith was, at minimum, playing a role in the Clinton campaign’s efforts to tie Trump to Russia," and that the communications reviewed by the special counsel “certainly lends at least some credence that such a plan existed.”

Clinton herself was previously asked about the Clinton Plan intelligence, and told Durham’s team in an interview that it "looked like Russian disinformation to me; they're very good at it, you know."

But Morell’s actions — and the Clinton’s embrace of his baseless framing of Trump as a Russian agent and Putin stooge — provide evidence the Clinton campaign did in fact carry out a political dirty trick.

Durham’s 2023 public report revealed that “the Intelligence Community received the Clinton Plan intelligence in late July 2016.”

Palmieri wrote in her 2017 Washington Post story that “the week after the convention” in late July 2016 “we sought out credible national security voices to sound alarms” and that “I was surprised by the enthusiasm with which some, such as former acting CIA director Michael Morell, jumped into the fray.”

“When I worked in the Obama White House, people in national security positions had been uneasy making broad public arguments, particularly about political matters. Not this time,” Palmieri wrote in 2017. “They were so concerned about the situation that, to me, the language they used to describe the threat they believed Russia and Trump posed was shocking.”

Palmieri said that “I remember my jaw dropping as I sat in our Brooklyn campaign headquarters and read the op-ed Morell submitted to the New York Times in early August [2016]” as she linked to Morell’s piece.

Clinton also discussed the Morell opinion piece in her book What Happened, a post-mortem she penned on the 2016 election.

“Maybe the press wouldn’t listen to us, but I figured they would listen to respected intelligence officials. On August 5, Mike Morell, the former acting director of the CIA, wrote a highly unusual op-ed in the New York Times. Despite being a strictly nonpartisan career professional, he said that he had decided to endorse me for President because of my strong record on national security, including my role in bringing Osama bin Laden to justice. By contrast, he said Trump was 'not only unqualified for the job, but he may well pose a threat to our national security.' Coming from America’s former top spy, that was a shocking statement. But it paled compared with what Morell said next.”

ABC News reported in early August 2016 that “a flood of prominent Republicans in recent weeks announced their support for Clinton over Trump, including … former acting CIA Director Mike Morell” and that “the recruitment effort has been spearheaded by Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta.”

Why Israel Created Hamas

Since the founding of Hamas in 1987, Israeli, American and Palestinian officials have repeatedly acknowledged that Israel did indeed help create and fund the Islamist group.

The point made by many of these officials is not that Israel “allowed” the rise of Hamas or that Hamas emerged in response to Israeli “occupation” of Palestine. Rather, their point was and is that Israel’s intelligence agencies actively helped create and finance the Hamas group.

As the officials cited below make clear, the overall goal of supporting Hamas has been to thwart the creation of a Palestinian state and avert the implementation of a two-state solution to the Palestine question. From Israel’s perspective, a two-state solution would reduce Israel’s territory to the internationally recognized pre-1967 borders, prohibit any future territorial expansion, and prevent the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city.

More specifically, supporting the Islamist Hamas group has served several Israeli objectives at once: first, it undermined Yasser Arafat’s secular nationalist PLO; second, it helped prevent the implementation of the 1993 Oslo Accords; third, it undermined the Palestinian National Authority and isolated Gaza from the Westbank; fourth, it impeded Western support for the Palestinian cause; and fifth, it justified Israeli (counter-)attacks on Palestinian territory.

In other words, by secretly supporting a group that does not recognize the existence of the state of Israel and does not accept a two-state solution, Israel does not have to accept the existence of a Palestinian state and does not have to support a two-state solution, either.

It is sometimes argued that while Israel initially supported the creation of Hamas, the Islamist group got out of control and Israeli officials came to regret their support (the “blowback theory”).

While this is certainly true for some Israeli officials and for the Israeli population affected by Hamas rockets and terrorist attacks, it is not true for Israeli grand strategists, as the quotes below make clear: for them, Hamas has continued to serve its intended purpose even after the Oslo Accords in 1993 and after Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

For the grand strategists, the presence of Hamas in the remaining Palestinian territories might provide, one day, the necessary pretext for a “final solution” to the Palestinian question.

In December 2001, during the Second Intifida, PLO leader Yasser Arafat gave interviews to two leading Italian newspapers and discussed the origins and financing of Hamas.

In an interview with L’Espresso, Arafat stated:

“Hamas was constituted with the support of Israel. The aim was to create an organization antagonistic to the PLO. They received financing and training from Israel. They have continued to benefit from permits and authorizations, while we have been limited, even to build a tomato factory. Rabin himself defined it as a fatal error. Some collaborationists of Israel are involved in these [terror] attacks,” he said. “We have proof, and we are placing it at the disposal of the Italian government.”

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Arafat stated:

“We are doing everything to stop the violence. But Hamas is a creature of Israel which at the time of Prime Minister [Yitzhak] Shamir [the late 1980s, when Hamas arose], gave them money and more than 700 institutions, among them schools, universities and mosques. Even [former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak] Rabin ended up admitting it, when I charged him with it, in the presence of [Egpytian President Hosni] Mubarak.”

In his 2006 book, Devil’s Game: How the United States Helped Unleash Fundamentalist Islam, American investigative journalist Robert Dreyfuss explored “Israel’s Islamists” and quoted American diplomat and former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Charles Freeman:

“Israel started Hamas,” says Charles Freeman, the veteran U.S. diplomat and former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia. “It was a project of Shin Bet [the Israeli domestic intelligence agency], which had a feeling that they could use it to hem in the PLO.”

Google Maps Spots Strange Face on Chile Mountain – UFO Hunters Think They’ve Discovered an Alien Base

Google Maps users have made another peculiar discovery that has sparked the imagination of many. This time, the find comes from the remote mountains of Chile, where a face-shaped formation on a mountain top has left viewers baffled.

According to Daily Mail, the mysterious face appears on a remote island located in the southern part of Chile.

Its unusual shape caught the eye of Scott C. Waring, a self-proclaimed UFO hunter who is known for sharing his findings online. Waring, who shared the coordinates 55°32’35” S, 69°15’56” W, posted a video revealing the formation on YouTube.

Some commentators were quick to speculate that the formation could be part of an “alien base,” and Waring himself suggested, “The oldest aliens in our universe might be seen as angels or demons with such powers…or even god or gods.”

The Power of Pareidolia

Despite the excitement online, scientists have a simpler explanation for the mysterious formation: pareidolia. Pareidolia is the tendency of the human brain to recognize familiar patterns, such as faces, in random objects or images.

Dr. Robin Kramer, a face perception expert from the University of Lincoln, explained this phenomenon: “Our face detection system has evolved to be great at detecting faces and it makes more sense to err on the side of caution by occasionally seeing faces where there aren’t any, rather than missing faces where there are.”

This ability to perceive faces in unusual places likely evolved to help our ancestors in identifying friends and foes quickly.

From a survival perspective, it would have been better to briefly mistake a tree branch for a person rather than miss an actual threat.

The Connection to UFO Theories

The discovery of faces in strange places is not new. People have often found what they believe to be faces in various geological features or even in objects that appear random at first glance.

Waring’s find, along with other similar discoveries, has fueled the belief that these formations might be linked to ancient alien civilizations or secret extraterrestrial activity.

Some users commenting on the video expressed their excitement, with one writing, “I found some in Antarctica I couldn’t work out what they were or are.

DC Area Statistics Reflect Federal Govt Downsizing

President Donald Trump is actually doing something almost all presidents have failed to do, reduce the size and scale of the federal government.

The Washington Post is very concernedabout the economic datapoints coming from the DC area. Including: “the Trump administration’s overhaul of the federal workforce, including the elimination of thousands of federal jobs, is being acutely felt in a national capital region.”

WaPo – In May,D.C.’s unemployment rate was 5.9 percent — the highest in more than three years. The number of federal workers turning tounemployment insurance is climbing steadily, with claims rising 64 percentbetween February and June — from 1,064 to 1,747. That surge is starting to show up in the city’s bottom line: In June alone, D.C. paid out more than $2.5 million in federal civilian jobless benefits, a sharp jump from earlier in the spring.

Maryland saw a similar spike, with payments nearly doubling since April. In Virginia’s Fairfax County, unemployment has reached levels not seen since mid-2021.

LAYOFFS– Layoffs tracked through Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notices are rapidly climbing. The federal WARN Act requires large employers to give advance notice before mass layoffs, offering an early signal of job market stress.So far this year, the D.C. region has recorded more WARN-notice layoffs than in any yearoutside the pandemic, with nearly 10,000 workers cut as of July — more than the total of the last two years combined. While the data mostly reflects private-sector job losses, it underscores how quickly layoffs are accelerating.

SPENDING– Consumer spending in D.C. is also starting to slip. Washingtonians are cutting back on things like dining out, clothing, and beauty products — and they’re doing so more sharply than people in other big cities. In June, spending at full-service restaurants was down 9 percentcompared with the prior year, a steeper drop than in places like Atlanta, Boston and Miami. The same pattern shows up in categories like apparel and entertainment, pointing to a local slowdown even as spending elsewhere holds steadier.

TAX BASE– The D.C. Office of Revenue Analysis is forecasting a rare population dip in 2027 — a 0.2 percent decline —along with shrinking tax collections. In June, the city revised its tax revenue outlook for 2026 from one of growth to decline. The city expects only modest growth in 2027, with property and business taxes still lagging.

HOUSING– Predictably, with uncertainty looming, the real estate picture is starting to shift. “We still have a shortage, meaning there is more demand for housing than supply,” Lee said. “And with that, the prices go up.”

But inventory is climbing, a sign thatfewer buyers are competing for homes. At the same time, new apartment construction is tapping the brakes — about 8,000 units went up in the first quarter of 2025, well below the usual 12,000 to 16,000 seen in recent quarters. (more)

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — FOX 17 reporter Julie Dunmire saw posts on social media Monday morning, all with the question: "What is that?"

"That," referring to videos captured of a helicopter carrying a large hexagon across the Kalamazoo-area.

She found out that the City of Kalamazoo put a press release out about this to answer people's questions

Still, people couldn't help but wonder about what was flying low above, hauled behind a helicopter.

So Julie took a drive north to the Plainwell Municipal Airport, to meet with experts. She learned it's a mechanism that's used to detect aquifers beneath the earth's surface.

"It's just like looking for coins in your backyard," Jared Abraham, of Wyoming-based Aqua Geo Frameworks said.

The large hexagon-shaped device can measure up to 1,000 feet beneath the earth's surface to find ground water.

"Everyone's seen the little hand metal detector. It's just a big metal detector under a helicopter," Abraham said.

The City of Kalamazoo is hopeful the data collected will help them get better tools to understand the groundwater supply.

"We are hoping to have a 3-D, dimensional map of the subsurface, so we can look for all of the aquifers, those are the water-bearing zones inside of the earth, so we can place our production wells in them," Jean Talanda, Water Programs Manager for the City of Kalamazoo, said.

Talanda added that this is a high-tech way to do such surveying.

"So we can feed our drinking water supply, and have a good source of quality water," Talanda said.
