Ten people will go on trial on Monday over cyberbullying of Brigitte Macron after they allegedly made “malicious” comments online spreading claims that President Emmanuel Macron 's wife is a man.

The Paris prosecutor’s office said the eight men and two women are accused of spreading “numerous malicious comments" online about the first lady's gender and “sexuality” and of mentioning her age gap with her husband as “paedophilia.”

Aged between 41 and 60, some of the defendants are very active on the social media, with posts sometimes cumulating dozens of thousands of views. A woman presenting herself as a medium and an advertising executive, whose X account has since been suspended, are considered as having played a major role in spreading the rumor.

Others include an elected official, a teacher and a computer scientist.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) has demanded the United Nations provide unredacted documents by Nov. 10 on UNRWA’s employment of terrorists involved in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel, according to a letter obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Comer’s investigation targets U.S. taxpayer funds linked to terrorism, alleging UNRWA has obstructed probes for months by withholding documents and instructing partners to hinder the U.S. Agency for International Development’s inspector general investigation into Hamas-affiliated employees.

The U.N.’s Office of Internal Oversight Services, at UNRWA’s request, redacted information on staffers fired in January 2024 for aiding the attack, obscuring their roles. Comer seeks all communications related to these terminations and a full OIOS report on investigated UNRWA staff with Hamas ties. Failure to comply may lead to subpoenas, as Comer has threatened before when Biden officials blocked UNRWA probes.

Comer warns that Hamas-linked staff could infiltrate other U.N. agencies or NGOs funded by U.S. dollars without proper vetting. A senior U.S. diplomat confirmed the USAID IG’s ongoing probe demands transparency from the U.N. and UNRWA about these staffers.

A lawsuit filed in New York City on Monday alleges black and Latino voters are being unconstitutionally diluted in the city’s only congressional district represented by a Republican.

The Monday suit was filed by Elias Law Group, a Washington D.C. based firm chaired by well-known Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias, and singled out New York’s 11th district which has been represented by Republican Rep. The suit argues the district’s current lines “confine Staten Island’s growing Black and Latino communities in a district where they are routinely and systematically unable to influence decisions.” The borough has seen the combined black and Latino population rise from 11% to 30% over the last 40 years, NYT reported.

Malliotakis is the daughter of a Cuban immigrant and grew up speaking Spanish at home. Her solidly Republican district — which President Donald Trump won by over 24 points in 2024 — includes the entirety of Staten Island and several neighborhoods in southern Brooklyn.

So I've been awake for 30+ years now, not fully the entire time of course, but fully as per by 2013 or so, and I've see many strides made in the number of people that have awakened, and welp i'm a glass half full guy and an eternal optimist. Not trying to be a downer, and having not done this beofrre i already feel bad that after all rthis time i'm now that guy that's glass half empty, when that's just not who I am.
