House Lawmakers Press Shein Over Sale Of Childlike Sex Dolls In The US

 

House lawmakers have asked fast-fashion retailer Shein to explain how childlike sex dolls were allowed to appear on its e-commerce platform and whether any were sold to U.S. customers, escalating an international controversy that earlier this month led France to suspend the company’s online marketplace.

 

In a Nov. 20 letter to Shein CEO Xu Yangtian, Reps. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), joined by 32 other members of Congress, sought clarity on the retailer’s internal controls and whether U.S. consumers were exposed to illegal content.

 

Founded in China and now headquartered in Singapore, Shein is known for its low-cost, rapid-turnover fashion and for hosting thousands of independent vendors on its marketplace.

 

The lawmakers said the request follows reports earlier this month that access to Shein’s French site was temporarily blocked after authorities found dolls resembling children offered for sale by third-party vendors.

 

Buchanan, who is leading the bipartisan inquiry, said in a statement, “It is incredibly disappointing that a major global retailer allowed childlike sex dolls to be sold on its platform, products that are known to fuel pedophilia and endanger children.”

 

He added that companies that fail to stop such items “must be held fully accountable and prevented from ever enabling this kind of behavior again.”

 

Wasserman Schultz said the sexual exploitation of children cannot be stopped while such products continue to be made and sold, stressing that e-commerce companies must not allow their platforms to be used to distribute items that encourage abuse.

New corruption scandal rocks Ukraine

 

Western-backed anti-graft agencies say they have uncovered more dirty dealings

 

Yet another corruption scheme has been uncovered in Ukraine by Western-backed anti-graft agencies, with the country still reeling from the news of a massive $100 million graft scandal linked to Vladimir Zelensky’s inner circle.

 

The $1.4 million racket was made public by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), which said on Friday that – together with the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) – it had uncovered crimes related to the illegal sale of the main maintenance facility at the port of Chernomorsk, a town located to the south of Odessa on the Black Sea coast.

 

The scheme dates back to 2020, when the then interim director conspired to sell off the facility despite a moratorium, the agency said. The official colluded with an appraiser, lowering the facility’s value artificially from an estimated $1.4 million to a mere $150,000.

 

The property was subsequently illegally auctioned off to the interim directors’ co-conspirator for some $320,000, according to NABU. Moreover, nearly all the funds the port received from the shady sale ended up siphoned under the pretext of servicing two vessels – which were at the time nowhere near Chernomorsk and were likely in India.

 

The appraiser and the ex-interim director of the port have been detained, NABU said. Several other individuals involved in the transactions have received “notices of suspicion.”

 

The new scandal comes atop a massive $100 million graft scheme uncovered in a high-profile probe into a crime ring allegedly led by a former business associate of Zelensky, Timur Mindich, announced by NABU last week. According to the investigators, the group siphoned some $100 million from state-owned nuclear power operator Energoatom, which has been heavily reliant on Western funding.

 

Multiple high-profile individuals have been implicated in the affair, including the head of Zelensky’s office, Andrey Yermak, former defense minister and current head of the National Security Council, Rustem Umerov, and former Deputy PM Aleksey Chernyshov. The scandal has badly hit the country’s energy sector, prompting Justice Minister German Galushchenko and Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk to resign.

New Senate bill demands full audit of U.S. gold reserves, additional refinement to meet global standards

 

U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) introduced a bill on Wednesday which, if passed, will trigger the first comprehensive audit of America's gold reserves in decades.

 

The senate version of the Gold Reserve Transparency Act demands a full inventory, audit, and accounting of all transactions involving U.S. federal government gold. It also calls for a new process for refinement of the gold so that it meets global market standards - as the majority of U.S. gold currently does not.

 

Representatives Thomas Massie, Warren Davidson, Addison McDowell, and Troy Nehls also recently introduced a similar bill in the House.

Driver in North Carolina to 911: ‘I just had a bald eagle drop a cat through my windshield’

A motorist in western North Carolina escaped injury when the carcass of a cat crashed into the passenger side of her front windshield along a highway near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

In a call to 911, the unidentified driver on U.S. Route 74 in Swain County, near Bryson City, told a dispatcher that a bald eagle dropped the cat. Bryson City is about 65 miles southwest of Asheville.

It’s not clear if the feline slipped from the eagle’s talons Wednesday morning or was discarded simply because the big bird didn’t have a taste for it.

“You may not believe me, but I just had a bald eagle drop a cat through my windshield,” the incredulous driver said on the recorded 911 call. “It absolutely shattered my windshield.”

Any reservations about calling in such a story were put to rest when the dispatcher calmly responded, “OK. I do believe you, honestly,” then laughed.

The driver relayed that another person also saw the cat drop, remarking, “He’s like, ‘That is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.’ I’m like, ‘Really?’”

The dispatcher offered some assurance, saying, “Oh my goodness. Let’s see. I’ve heard crazier.”

“Well, that’s terrifying,” the caller said, to which the dispatcher replied with more nervous laughter, “Yeah.”

After getting the driver’s location, the dispatcher said she would send the Highway Patrol to do a report. “Another question,” the dispatcher asked. “Is the cat still alive?”

The caller said it wasn’t, but noted that the cat was on the side of the road and not in her car.

“Ok, I have to ask just to make sure,” the dispatcher said.

Kendrick Weeks, Western Wildlife Diversity Program supervisor for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, said the cat dropped on the car could have been roadkill scavenged by the eagle.

“But they can take animals the size of a cat,” he said. “It is much harder for them to take a live cat than a dead cat. They usually don’t prey on something they don’t find palatable. And, scavenging is a common behavior in bald eagles.”

Eagles and other raptors can drop prey for several reasons, including having a poor grip or if the prey is struggling and the birds are trying to prevent injury to themselves, Weeks added.

Prey can also be dropped if a raptor is being harassed by another raptor or the prey becomes too heavy to continue carrying.

Bald eagles are native to North Carolina and most of North America.

Their populations have been increasing, and there are more than 200 nesting pairs in North Carolina. The birds can weigh anywhere from 6 1/2 to 13 1/2 pounds and have wingspans of 6 to 7 feet, Weeks told The Associated Press.

President Trump’s alliance with Israel is giving us Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. The Special Envoy’s job is to suppress free speech if it involves criticism of any Israeli policy, including the ongoing genocide of Palestine and its remaining people. Probably it will be considered anti-semitism to criticize the Trump regime for enabling with money, weapons, and diplomatic protection the genocide.

 

A Special Envoy is said to be needed because of rising anti-semitism in America provoked by the Israeli genocide of Palestine. The genocide caused Charlie Kirk to break from Israel, and it is this break that likely resulted in Kirk’s assassination.

 

Rabbi Kaploun dressed it all up as a defense of free speech. He says he is going to combat growing anti-semitism not by cancelling the First Amendment but by teaching history, by which he means history concocted by Zionists. It is this “history” such as the holocaust and God’s gift of Palestine to Jews that it will be an offense to challenge.

 

As we experience Israel’s growing power over America, a question arises: Is the Camp of the Saints so bad after all? Would Americans prefer to be dominated by Israel or by Muslim refugees from America’s 21st century wars for Israel against Muslims. Allegedly, Muslims are terrorists, but we have seen the Zionist terrorism in Gaza and the West Bank and in the Israeli assassinations of Iranians and Lebanese. Zionist hatred of even the gentiles who are Israel’s protectors is a suspected cause of attacks on Christianity and of the use of pornography to destroy sexual morality.

 

The Special Envoy problem now before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, owned by Israel, is unrecognized by Republicans but is causing heartburn for Democrats. The Democrats’ constituency includes the Muslim immigrant-invaders, some of whom now serve in Congress, as federal judges, and as mayors and city council members. America’s transition to a Tower of Babel has gone so far that Israel’s ability to control what the Japanese call a “mongrel population” is questionable. People of Color are a rival privileged ethnicity to Jews, and they are more numerous. The likely consequence of the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism will be more and worsening conflict between Democrats and Republicans. It will be the Republican Jewish constituency against the Democrats People of Color constituency.

 

The creation of a special envoy to protect Jewish ethnicity from criticism should raise the question why among all ethnicities it is Israelis that the US government elects to give special legal privileges that prevent anything to which Israel objects from being said? This legal privilege contradicts the Constitution’s requirement of equal protection under law. Why are Trump and the Senate Foreign Policy Committee violating the US Constitution for Israel?

(i) by amending the heading to read as follows: “Special rule for certain individuals ineligible for medicaid due to status”; and

We have opened up our checking account to every one interested in free money. Congress and the SSA fucked up when they added additional programs to a "bank account" designed solely for people who paid into it.

 

Congress, the holder of the purse strings, could have and should have funded a completely separate bank acct for Medicaid, etc for indigent people. A specific account for them, rather than robbing Social Security.

Trump branded her a “traitor” and “wacky” and said he would endorse a challenger against her when she ran for reelection next year.
