USAID-Funded “Revolution Consultants” Are Training Activists Inside the United States

The regime-change tactics being taught inside America

USAID-funded “revolution consultants” training protesters how to topple governments and advance left-wing social causes are embedded across U.S. universities and training American activists how to carry out the same operations in the U.S.

The Center for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies (CANVAS), headquartered in Serbia, openly markets its expertise in “building and running successful non-violent movements.” They aim to “engage with students as much as with activists.”

CANVAS received funding from USAID, which has historically used these same protest tactics to topple regime across the world. The money came through the Civil Society Engagement Program in Georgia, a five-year program that started on November 1, 2021. The program is worth $17 million.

What makes CANVAS extraordinary is not merely that it receives USAID support but that the same USAID-funded training model has been embedded inside American universities and U.S.-based activist programs.

From its own materials, CANVAS states:

“From CANVAS’ headquarters in Belgrade, Serbia, we operate a network of international trainers and consultants with expertise in building and running successful non-violent movements.”

And:

“These revolutionary ‘know-hows’ are available for free download on this website. Additionally, our trainers regularly teach courses on nonviolent strategy at a variety of educational institutions worldwide.”

That includes the United States.

According to its own published metrics, CANVAS claims:

16,048 activists successfully trained

126 “successful campaigns” inspired by CANVAS

While operating from Belgrade, CANVAS has deliberately embedded itself inside American higher education. Documented collaborations include work alongside:

Harvard University

New York University

Tufts University

Colorado College

Grinnell College

The most striking case is Colorado College, where CANVAS has worked in cooperation since 2006, including a dedicated CANVAS block inside the Department of Political Science. Beyond that, CANVAS has:

Interestingly, one of the newly released documents is a draft statement from the Southern District of New York’s U.S. Attorney’s Office confirming that Epstein is dead.

The problem is that this draft statement is dated the day before Jeffrey Epstein’s dead body was discovered…

Ukrainian drones struck Russia's Volgograd oil refinery overnight Feb. 11, Ukraine's General Staff reported.

After the strike, a fire was reported on the facility, and the extent of the damage is being assessed, the General Staff said.

Russia's Defense Ministry earlier claimed that it had shot down 48 Ukrainian drones in several regions, not including over Volgograd Oblast itself.

Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrey Bocharov said damage was reported in a facility in the South Volgograd, referring to the oil refinery.

Bocharov also claimed that an apartment building and a kindergarten were damaged, with no casualties.

"Emergency services and municipal authorities are conducting search and rescue operations to locate and dispose of possible drone debris," he added.

The refinery, operated by Russian oil giant Lukoil, was struck by drones for the first time this year, Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported.

Volgograd is located about 354 kilometers (220 miles) from Ukraine's eastern border with Russia and approximately 500 kilometers (310 miles) from Ukrainian-controlled territory near Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast.

Previously, on Jan. 10, Russian authorities in Volgograd Oblast reported a drone attack overnight that sparked a fire at an oil facility in the region's Oktyabrsky district.

The General Staff also said that several facilities in Russian-occupied Ukraine were hit, including a fuel depot in Crimea, anti-aircraft missile systems in occupied parts of Donetsk and Kherson oblasts, a logistics depot, military equipment, and facilities in which soldiers from Russia's Rubicon brigade were located in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Officials from Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said it is “safe” for Canadians to eat pork that has been genetically modified so that they do not contract porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome viruses (PRRSV). KHARTOUM: Drone strikes on Sudan’s southern Kordofan region on Wednesday killed two children, wounded 12 others and severely damaged a United Nations warehouse full of famine aid, sources told AFP.

The Kordofan region, where deadly drone strikes have intensified, is currently the fiercest battlefield in the war raging since April 2023 between Sudan’s regular army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

A drone strike blamed on the RSF, on a school in North Kordofan’s El-Rahad, killed two children and injured 12 others, a medical source told AFP.

“I saw a dozen students injured,” Ahmed Moussa, an eyewitness to the attack, told AFP, adding that the drone had struck a traditional Qur’anic school.

A second drone strike hit a World Food Programme warehouse in the famine-hit South Kordofan state capital of Kadugli, causing “damage to the building and losses to the food supplies stored inside,” a UN source told AFP.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, they said they could not specify which of the warring sides committed the attack.

In a statement, the RSF’s political wing Tasis blamed the strike on the army, which holds the city and last week broke a paramilitary siege surrounding it.

On Friday, a drone strike blamed on the RSF hit a WFP convoy carrying aid to the North Kordofan state capital of El-Obeid, killing one and wounding several others.

Since it began in April 2023, the conflict between the army and the RSF has killed tens of thousands and left around 11 million people displaced, creating the world’s largest hunger and displacement crises.

It has also effectively split the country in two, with the army holding the north, center and east while the RSF and its allies control the west and parts of the south.

Tide turning

The army — on the back foot since the RSF consolidated its hold on the western region of Darfur in October — has appeared to tilt the balance in recent weeks, breaking paramilitary sieges on Kadugli and the nearby town Dilling.

A UN-backed report in November confirmed famine in Kadugli since September. According to the UN, Dilling had suffered similar starvation conditions.

For much of the war, supply routes to Dilling have been cut, both south to Kadugli and north to El-Obeid.

Since pushing the army out of Darfur, the RSF has pushed along the country’s key east-west axis, which runs through El-Obeid to the White Nile river, in an attempt to capture Sudan’s central corridor back to the capital Khartoum.

Battling for control of the oil- and gold-rich Kordofan region, the RSF and the army have traded drone strikes across vast areas, killing dozens at a time.

In a period of just over two weeks, some 90 civilians were killed and 142 injured in drone strikes, UN rights chief Volker Turk said this week.

He said strikes by both warring parties hit targets including markets, health facilities and residential areas across North and South Kordofan.

In the first week of February alone, three health facilities were attacked in South Kordofan, killing 30 people including at least five children and four health workers, according to the World Health Organization.

BUTTE -Here on the campus of Montana Tech, you can study science, mathematics, engineering, biology, even nursing, but here in the Chemistry Biology Building in this classroom, you can learn about UFOs.

Yeah, I’m serious, and so is Dr. Michael Masters, so let’s go check out his class.

“Fiber optics technology may have come from reverse engineering these craft,” Montana Tech Professor Michael Masters told his class Thursday morning.

The Butte university is one of only a handful of colleges around the country with a class on unidentified flying objects.

“One of my students was very honest and said that she saw the posters and thought it was a joke and registered to see if it was actually a joke," Masters said.

It’s no joke. The anthropology class studies the history and science behind the UFO phenomenon.

"This is a real phenomenon happening, whether you believe in UFOs or not, it’s not a belief system anymore, it’s an evidence-based inquiry, and the more we take it seriously,” he said.

Masters earned his doctorate in anthropology from Ohio State University and has written several books about UFOs. Students in this new class are challenged to research and examine the topic through credible sources.

“I don’t know, I’ve kind of mixed feelings about it, but after taking this class, I’ve kind of shifted toward, yeah, there could be something out there,” student Izzy Arave said.

Student Nate O’Neil added, “We couldn’t have had this class 10 years ago; we would have all been called crazy for just taking it, probably.“

Masters said Montana Tech has been very supportive of his class and believes this subject is not just for the fringe and should be a topic of serious study.

“We have whistleblowers, we have intelligence insiders coming out and saying there is a legacy program, there are craft, there are bodies, they are reverse engineering these craft, and when people are saying that under oath in front of the United States Congress, we need to pay attention to that and we need to take it seriously,” Masters said.

The restaurant sector has spent the past 18 months trying to figure out how to reach consumers in a hypercompetitive and uneven economy. McDonald’s

, which is set to report earnings after the bell Wednesday, has doubled down on value messaging to customers via Extra Value Meals and Snack Wraps, which will likely help to boost sales this quarter. But the focus on value has caused frustrationsat times among parts of the chain’s operator base.

The company rolled out new franchise standards for McDonald’s operators on Jan. 1, including assessing locations on how their prices deliver value. McDonald’s said its owners are still able to set their own prices, but the standards nonetheless shape and define how franchisees — which operate 95% of McDonald’s restaurants — run their stores.

A cohort of operators is standing ground in their ability to continue to independently set prices.

The National Owners Association, an independent franchisee advocate group, adopted a Franchisee Bill of Rights in August and circulated it in an email to members last month as the standards took effect, according to a copy of the message viewed by CNBC.

The last of the bill’s rights is the “right to set prices without fear of recourse,” which says, “Franchisees, as independent Owner/Operators, have the right to set menu prices for their restaurants based on their own business judgment and market conditions. This right exists irrespective of the pricing decisions of any national, regional, or local co-op or franchisor initiative. Franchisees must be free to manage their pricing strategy without fear of intimidation, or diminished support from McDonald’s or its affiliated entities.”

It also lists the “right to renewal and transfer,” giving owners the “absolute right to a fair and reasonable opportunity to renew franchise agreements … subject only to objective, clearly stated standards of approval.”

In December, McDonald’s told operators it would begin value assessments as part of its updates to franchising standards. Continued noncompliance could result in penalties or even termination.

At the time, the company said its new standards would provide “greater clarity … to ensure every restaurant delivers consistent, reliable value across the full customer experience,” according to a memo reviewed by CNBC….
