Images Purportedly Show E-3 Sentry Totally Destroyed From Iranian Strike

A loss of an E-3 would be a major blow for the dwindling fleet of increasingly rickety airframes and would point to other capability and defensive gaps.

 

Info is slowly dripping out as to the extent of the Iranian attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia that occurred on March 27th. Multiple U.S. military aircraft are reported to have been damaged. This is beyond the toll on U.S. service members, which sits at 10 injured, some of critically. While high-resolution commercial satellite imagery of the Middle East from U.S. companies remains delayed for weeks, foreign satellite images purport to show major damage on the base’s main apron. Now, photos from ground level appears to show one of the USAF’s prizedE-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft totally destroyed.

 

The images were first posted on the Air Force amn/nco/snco Facebook page and has since spread across social media. The photos show E-3 serial #81-0005’s rear fuselage totally burned out and destroyed. There is debris all around the aircraft. It’s worth noting that a direct strike, while certainly possible here, is often not required to destroy an aircraft. The shrapnel from a nearby impact can and especially if a fire is ignited. The attack reportedly included long-range one-way attack drones and ballistic missiles.

 

It’s important to note that we cannot confirm the authenticity of the images at this time, but they appear, at least after a cursory examination, to look authentic. This assessment could change and we will update this post if it does.

 

Satellite imagery from prior to when major U.S. commercial providers, specifically Plant Labs, began delaying photos of the Middle East, shows aircraft parked across the main apron and other high-value assets, like the E-3s, parked on isolated taxiways around the airfield. This is clearly an attempt to minimize damage from Iranian long-range weapons by spreading out the aircraft. It’s very possible these aircraft were shuffled around in order to make targeting more challenging.

 

At least five other tankers were also damaged in a strike on Prince Sultan Air Base earlier in the conflict. The installation, which sits outside of Riyadh, has come under repeated attack. It is a major operating location for American aircraft supporting the war effort.

 

The loss of an E-3 Sentry is a major development. The aircraft are critical for spotting incoming barrages and coordinating the air war. The U.S. sent six to the Middle East prior to the war beginning and additional airborne early assets may be headed that way, if they are not already in theater now. The U.S. only had 16 E-3s remaining, with the rickety fleet nearly cut in half as it struggles to maintain readiness in its old age. With low availability, far fewer than the 16 that remain in service are ready to operate at any given time.

The USAF wanted to migrate much of the airborne early warning tracking duties to a new space sensing layer, but that technology is still years away from operational maturity. The E-7 Wedgetail was ordered to provide an interim bridge solution to augment the E-3s and eventually take their place until a space sensing layer can take on at least most of the mission. The USAF then tried to cut the E-7 in its last budget and procure a handful of E-2D Hawkeyes as a less expensive interim solution. This bizarre move, which would have led to massive capability gaps at a time of increasing airborne early warning and control demand, has since been heavily disputed by congress and now the USAF’s E-7 program appears that it could be headed back on track. Still, the loss of one of the E-3s in a dwindling fleet, and now a delay in the already late to the party E-7 program, puts the U.S. in an increasingly concerning predicament.

 

Iran has been somewhat successful at targeting key radar installations around the region that enable America and its allies’ air defenses. The fact that they would target an E-3 should come as absolutely no surprise. As for how they acquired the targeting data, satellite imagery is still available from China and Russia is likely providing them imagery as well. There are many other ways to obtain time critical info like where aircraft are parked on a base that is from far far lower tech sources, including classic human intelligence.

 

The potential loss of the E-3 and possibly other aircraft in this attack, as well as others that have occurred in the war, on top of very troubling events back here at home, highlight the dire need for hardened airbase infrastructure. The Pentagon continues to drag its feet and downplay the need to invest in hardened aircraft shelters, even as the risk to aircraft on the ground has been made glaringly apparent by recent conflicts. There are signs this could possibly change, even if to a small degree, but there doesn’t seem to be much urgency behind doing so.

 

It also comes at a time when America’s most capable adversaries are dumping large sums of money into protecting their aircraft on the ground. Even in the Pacific, where a major war could break out with a near-peer competitor that is armed to the teeth with long-range weaponry, these improvements have been nearly non-existent. Only now, after Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, America’s largest in the region, has been repeatedly attacked during the war with Iran, has the Pentagon budged at exploring hardening some of its infrastructure there.

Russia to supply Iran with shoulder-fired air defense system

 

Iran is looking to Russia to bolster its depleted air defenses after Iran’s June 2025 war with Israel and as it faces the largest US military buildup in the Middle East since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The Financial Times reported on Sunday that the two regimes had struck a €495 million deal for Russia to supply “Verba” shoulder-mounted air defense systems to Iran. However, these defenses would be unlikely to significantly impact a possible US operation against the Islamic Republic.

 

Tehran formally requested the Verba in July after its 12-day war with Israel, and the two sides signed the contract in December, FT reported. During that war and in a pair of earlier strikes in 2024, Israeli forces destroyed or damaged many of Iran’s air defense systems, including its Russian-supplied S-300 long-range surface-to-air missile batteries.

 

The 9K333 Verba, whose NATO reporting name is SA-29 Gizmo, is Russia’s most advanced man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) in mass production. It can reportedly hit aircraft up to 6 kilometers away at altitudes of nearly 15,000 feet using the missile’s multi-spectral (ultraviolet, near-infrared, and mid-infrared) seeker.

 

The deal reportedly calls for Russia to supply 500 launch units, each equipped with “Mowgli-2” thermal imaging sights, along with 2,500 9M336 missiles. Deliveries will occur in three stages between 2027 and 2029, meaning they would arrive after a potential US operation targeting Iran.

 

One source familiar with the contract told the FT that a small number of the Verba MANPADS may already have been delivered. It is also possible that Russia could accelerate the delivery timeline by drawing on existing stocks, though Moscow would likely be hesitant to deprive its own forces fighting against Ukraine. Russian Il-76TD transport planes have flown to Iran at least four times since late December, but it is not known what cargo they were transporting.

 

Regardless, these systems are unlikely to have a decisive effect on a potential US military operation against the Islamic Republic. Iranian forces could use MANPADS to target some drones, helicopters, or other low-flying aircraft, which would complicate potential US air assaults or search-and-rescue missions. However, they would be of little help against fighter jets and bombers flying at higher altitudes.

 

Nevertheless, this contract is another example of how Moscow and Tehran have bolstered their ties since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine four years ago. In 2022, Iran began providing Russia with various unmanned aerial systems, most notably Shahed-136 one-way attack drones that Russia used mainly to strike critical infrastructure deep inside Ukraine. Iran also supplied Russia with artillery ammunition and other materiel, including close-range ballistic missiles in 2024, though the missiles have apparently yet to see combat.

Most significantly, Iran helped Russia localize production of the Shahed-136 at its new Alabuga drone manufacturing facility in Tatarstan. This capability has enabled Russia to mass-produce modified versions of the drone in far larger quantities than it had received from Iran, churning out several thousand per month between Alabuga and another factory.

 

In May, Moscow and Tehran finalized a 20-year Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, cementing a collaboration in “all spheres, including defense, counter-terrorism, energy, finance, transport, industry, agriculture, culture, science, and engineering.” Notably, the agreement did not include a mutual defense clause, absolving Russia of any obligation to defend Iran if it is attacked.

 

Russia’s lack of meaningful support for Iran during its 12-Day War with Israel did not go unnoticed in Tehran. Despite Iran’s significant contributions towards Russia’s war with Ukraine, Russia offered little more than a condemnation of Israel and the United States as they decimated Iran’s air defense capabilities, missile-production facilities, and nuclear facilities, as well as many of its top military leadership and nuclear scientists.

 

Al Arabiya quoted Mohammad Sadr, a member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, as stating that the “war proved the strategic alliance with Moscow is worthless.”

 

The latest collaboration may be Russia’s attempt prove that it’s still a worthwhile partner, even though it no longer depends on Iranian deliveries of drones to supply its military. News of the MANPADS deal comes after reports that Russia began delivering Mi-28NE attack helicopters to Iran in January, a big improvement over Iran’s aging pre-revolution AH-1 Cobras, which were provided by the United States in the 1970s.

 

Iran is also believed to have pursued a deal for Russian Su-35 “Flanker-E” multirole fighter jets. Whether that will happen is unclear, but Iran did begin receiving Russian Yak-130 training jets in 2023.

 

In recent weeks, Russian officials have spoken out in opposition to potential US military strikes on Iran, calling for all parties to show restraint. Last week, Russian and Chinese vessels joined Iran in naval exercises near the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman. However, it is unlikely that Russia will intervene if US President Donald Trump decides to strike Iran.

Moon hit by massive object as NASA declares 'once-in-a-century event'

A routine scan of the Moon has revealed a fresh scar around the length of two football pitches laid end to end - as NASA continues with its Artemis 2 mission to return humans there

 

A massive new impact crater has been discovered on the Moon and scientists say it's the kind of event only seen once in a century.

 

The finding comes after a routine scan of images captured by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera, which revealed a fresh scar stretching roughly 225 metres - about the length of two football pitches laid end to end.

 

While the Moon has been collecting impact craters for billions of years, the latest one stands out for its size.

 

Based on comparisons with surrounding lunar features, researchers estimate a crater of this size should only form once every 139 years, making the discovery exceptionally rare. It comes as NASA pushes ahead with plans to return humans to the Moon.

 

This includes the Artemis 2 mission, which plans to launch no sooner than April 1, 2026, and is set to carry four astronauts on a loop around the Moon. But the range and spread around the new crater has generated concern amongst scientists.

 

Since the Moon has no atmosphere to burn up objects, impacts like this eject vast amounts of rock and dust at high speeds, which is capable of creating hazardous conditions across a wide area.

 

Scientists have warned that any structures built on the Moon will need to be designed to withstand high-velocity debris, including particles travelling at roughly one kilometre per second.

 

The new crater appears to have formed on a boundary between the cratered lunar highlands and a wide, flat mare, which developed from liquid magma pooling on the moon's surface, planetary scientist Mark Robinson said at the Lunar and Planetary Sciences Meeting in The Woodlands, Texas, last week.

 

It is also surrounded by a blanket of rock and dust that splashed out in all directions - as far as hundreds of metres - when the impact occurred.

NASA is preparing to launch Artemis 2, its first astronaut mission to the moon since 1972, with liftoff set for no earlier than April 1. Liftoff is set for 6:24 p.m. EDT (2224 GMT).

The activist,clearly agitated, repeatedly demanded answers about why they chose their jobs while claiming “the majority of Americans hate your guts” and accusing the agents of “terrorizing” people and wasting taxpayer money.

 

One agent, wearing a black “POLICE ICE” vest, remainedcomposed and addressed the harasser’s tone directly.

 

“Why is your voice so stressed out?”the agent calmly asked.

The activist shot back, “Why won’t you answer the question?”

The agent replied,“I don’t have to.”

 

A second agent, in a tan tactical vest clearly marked “POLICE ICE,” stood beside his colleaguewithout engaging the provocateur.

 

As the activist continued his rant, claiming taxpayers pay their salaries and calling the agents immoral, the officers simply kept walking, occasionally pointing out how nonsensical the questions were.

 

The activist followed the agents even as they moved through the terminal and outside,hurling more accusations about bonuses and “slaughtering innocent Americans” in reference to unrelated past events.

 

The agents never raised their voices, never touched the man, and never stopped doing their jobs.

 

On Friday, otherICE agents went viral for laughing at an activistwho was harassing them at LaGuardia Airport.

 

“You guys are the foot soldiers of a fascist regime, right? Is that not what it is?” the man shouts at them,repeating the insult while the agents grin and eventually burst into laughter.

 

“Is that funny? Is that funny?” he presses as the agents continue walking and trying to hold back their giggles.

 

The activist originally posted the video to Instagram, writing thathe was “speaking truth to power,” and complaining that they laughed at him.

NASA is targeting April Fool’s Day to launch humankind’s voyage closest to the Moon in over a half a century, after the original mission was delayed in February 2026.

 

The US space agency announced on March 12, 2026, that the Artemis II space crew will launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on April 1, 2026, pending close-out of remaining open work.

 

All being well, on March 19, 2026, NASA staff plan to roll the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket and Orion spacecraft to launch pad 39B, ready for liftoff.

 

The significance of the Artemis II mission cannot be understated, with the four crew members venturing further into deep space than anyone has gone before.

 

The Artemis II crew will fly by the lunar far side at an altitude of approximately 3,000 to 9,000 miles. There, they will test the Orion capsule and carry out crucial research that should pave the way for the first Moon landing since 1972.

 

“From this unique vantage point and environment, the Artemis II crew will work with scientists on Earth to facilitate science investigations to inform future human spaceflight missions,” an agency statement said.

 

According to NASA, the Space Launch System offers “more payload mass, volume, and departure energy than any other single rocket”.

 

Meanwhile, the Orion spacecraft will “serve as the exploration vehicle that will carry and sustain the crew on Artemis missions to the Moon and return them safely to Earth”.

 

Orion will fly two orbits of Earth and then venture around the Moon in a figure-eight pattern before returning to Earth.

 

NASA delayed the first launch in February 2026, after engineers encountered technical issues during a critical prelaunch test.

 

Technicians have accessed the launch vehicle stage adapter to inspect components that prevented helium from flowing to the upper stage, after a wet dress rehearsal on February 21, 2026.

 

“Engineers determined a seal in the quick disconnect, through which helium flows from the ground systems to the rocket, was obstructing the pathway,” NASA said. “The team removed the quick disconnect, reassembled the system, and began validating the repairs to the upper stage by running a reduced flow rate of helium through the mechanism to ensure the issue was resolved.”

 

The agency added: “Engineers are assessing what allowed the seal to become dislodged to prevent the issue from recurring.”

Data From Chinese Moon Lander Shows Signs of Peculiar Radiation “Cavity”

As NASA continues to push for a permanent presence on the Moon, future space travelers will face plenty of dangers, from micrometeorite showers battering the lunar surface to the unknown effects of spending prolonged periods of time in just one sixth of Earth’s gravity.

Deep space radiation also remains a major hazard. NASA’s Artemis 2 mission, which is slated to launch as early as next week, will see astronauts venturing far beyond the Moon, reaching the furthest mankind has ever been away from home, and likely exposing them to significantly higher levels of radiation.

 

The fear: such cosmic rays could penetrate astronauts’ bodies and damage DNA or increase the risk of developing cancer.

But thanks to recent research by an international team of researchers, there may be a peculiar “cavity” of reduced cosmic radiation that could provide them with shelter.

This cavity includes Moon and extends far beyond it into space, and only appears at a specific moment of time in the Moon’s orbit around the Earth, at which point cosmic rays die down significantly.

 

As detailed in a paper published this week in the journal Science Advances, the team analyzed data collected by China’s Chang’e-4 lander, which became the first spacecraft to land and explore the far side of the Moon in early 2019.

They found a surprising “region of reduced [galactic cosmic ray] flux in the prenoon sector of the lunar orbit,” challenging the presumption that radiation is “uniformly distributed over the Earth-Moon distance.”

 

A handy illustration by the researchers explains when and where this cavity forms. The white dotted circle illustrates the Moon’s orbit around the Earth.

Just before dawn on the Moon, the “galactic cosmic ray [GCR] cavity,” as illustrated by the brighter streak of light, forms thanks to the Earth’s magnetic field — sheltering the Earth’s natural satellite from the Sun’s radiation.

 

The implications for future space travel could be considerable, since the findings suggest that our planet’s protective magnetic field is far more extensive than previously thought.

“This cavity indicates that the influence of Earth’s magnetic field within the space environment extends unexpectedly up to and far beyond the lunar orbit,” the paper reads.

 

The cavity appears a few Earth hours after lunar sunrise. A single lunar day lasts for approximately 29.5 Earth days, which means it’s not as fleeting a moment as it sounds, stretching the window to “roughly 2 [Earth] days during each lunar revolution.”

The conclusion could help inform future activities on the lunar surface. The paper’s corresponding author and Kiel University professor Robert Wimmer-Schweingruber told Live Science that lunar morning is the best time for excursions, given the roughly 20 percent reduction in the amount of radiation hitting the astronauts compared to average levels.

 

The researchers examined data from Chang’e-4’s Lunar Lander Neutron and Dosimetry instrument, which measured the number of protons from cosmic rays throughout the Moon’s orbit around Earth, which eventually led them to identify a recurring dip in radiation.

They posit the Earth’s magnetic field may continue to block some of these energetic protons.

“I had not expected to see this ‘shadow’ or cavity,” Wimmer-Schweingruber told Live Science. “It makes absolute sense in retrospect, but I was very skeptical when I first saw this result.”

 

As the US and China continue to ramp up their efforts to send astronauts to the Moon, the research could have profound implications.

“This finding provides a potential strategy for mission planning, especially for manned lunar missions and extravehicular activities, as operations could be timed to coincide with these lower radiation periods to reduce exposure risk,” the researchers concluded.

“Future studies with extended datasets could further clarify the spatial extent and behavior of this cavity, offering deeper insights into potential radiation protection strategies, not only for the Earth-Moon system,” they added, “but potentially for missions near other magnetized bodies within the Solar System.”

Suspected Ukrainian drones have crashed in Finland – prime minister

Two suspected Ukrainian drones have crashed in Finland, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has reported, conjecturing that the UAVs were launched as part of Kiev’s latest attacks on neighboring Russia’s Leningrad Region.

In a post on X on Sunday, Orpo wrote that the “drones have strayed into Finnish territory,” and that the incident was being investigated by local authorities and the Defense Forces.

 

The Finnish prime minister characterized the “territorial violation as a very serious matter,” as quoted by Yle News.

Meanwhile, the country’s Air Force identified one of the UAVs as a Ukrainian AN196 drone.

 

There have been no reports of casualties on the ground as a result of the incident.

According to the Nordic country’s Defense Ministry, “several small, slow-flying, low-flying objects were observed in Finnish airspace over the sea and in southeastern Finland on Sunday morning.”

 

F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets were deployed to monitor the drones, but did not use suppressive fire so as to avoid collateral damage, according to Yle News.

The Defense Ministry stated that the UAVs eventually crashed near the city of Kouvola, roughly 100 kilometers (62 miles) west of the Russian border.

 

Since early March, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has reported that its air defenses have shot down hundreds of Ukrainian drones in Russian airspace on an almost daily basis. The Kremlin has characterized the UAV incursions as “terrorist attacks.”

On Wednesday, an unusually large number of drones were downed over Leningrad Region, with the raid resulting in a blaze in the port area of Ust-Luga, which is home to a major gas-processing complex as well as Europe’s largest oil terminal specializing in the transshipment of petroleum products from rail to sea tankers.

 

There were no injuries among civilians in the region, according to the authorities.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday, a Ukrainian UAV hit the chimney of the Auvere Power Plant in northeastern Estonia, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal reported.

 

At around the same time, another Ukrainian drone impacted neighboring Latvia, the country’s Defense Ministry stated.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene had said early in the week that a UAV launched from Ukraine went astray and crashed in the south of the Baltic nation on Monday.

According to the Baltic nation’s Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas, the drone went undetected by NATO radar because it was “flying at an altitude of less than 300 meters.”

Carla Maribel Rodriguez was found shot inside the $2.4 million houseshortly before 8:30 a.m. last Sunday after police were called with reports of gunfire.

 

Rodriguez died after being rushed to the hospital.

Los Angeles policearrested 27-year-old Emily Emerald Vogdt at the residence.

 

Vogdt,who identifies as a trans man and uses her middle name “Emerald,” is being held at the Century Regional Detention Center, an all-female jail in Lynwood, on $3.075 million bail, which was increased from an initial $2 million due to the severity of the charges.

 

The alleged murderer appeared in court on Thursday, but the arraignment was postponed until April 29.

 

Investigators told Rodriguez’s family that Vogdt had been “very possessive and obsessed” with the victimand that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.

 

Family membersbelieve Rodriguez may have been planning to leave the relationship.

 

Rodriguez’s brother, Joshua Vasquez, 39, confirmed to the New York Post that authoritiesdescribed Vogdt as transitioning to become a man.

 

The family and friends had assumed Rodriguez was dating a biological male.

 

Rodriguez had boasted about Vogdt on Facebook, calling her “the peanut butter to my jelly” and saying that she was “in love.”

 

The victim’s close friend, Jacqueline Dobson, 64, told the Post that she never met Vogdt but recalled Rodriguez calling her “wonderful.”

 

Dobson admitted she had grown suspicious about how the couple afforded their extravagant lifestyle, which included luxury trips to Aspen and Solvang for Christmas and New Year’s, a February getaway to Mammoth, and a three-day stay at the five-star Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point overlooking the cliffs.

 

The couple alsodrove a black Lamborghini Urus valued at around $250,000. Detectives removed a rifle case from the vehicle during the investigation.

 

Rodriguez’s aunt, Marcella Garcia, 59, saidno one in the family had ever met Vogdt.

 

Garcia noted that Rodriguez had told hershe was “trying something different” but provided no further details about her lover being transgender.

 

After seeing photos online, Garcia described the suspect as “a little strange and weird looking.”

Records showVogdt stood to inherit a family trust valued at approximately $2.9 million, tied to a commercial property on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.

 

The trust was established by Vogdt’s grandmother, Paula Vogdt, and passed to her daughter, Anita Vogdt, in 2013.

 

Anita died in 2022, leaving Vogdt as the sole heir. Despite this, Rodriguez had told her mother she was paying $1,000 per month to live in the Airbnb property the couple shared.

 

A dog sitter confirmed the couple’s odd relationship,saying the pair lived in separate bedrooms. She also said she had beenunaware Vogdt was biologically female.

 

This incident comes amid a wave of high-profile shootings involving transgender individuals in recent months.

Vice President JD Vance is the leading candidate to take the Republican nomination for president in 2028, according to a straw poll taken at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday.

 

Vance received 53 percent of the support of the people who attended the annual conference in Grapevine, Texas. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was in second place at 35 percent. Florida Gov. Former Iranian diplomats are warning that the war between Iran, the United States and Israel could fundamentally reshape the Middle East’s security order,with some predicting a prolonged conflict and deeper regional instability.

 

The comments come as U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday he would pause planned strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure for 10 days until April 6, saying the move followed a request from Tehran and that negotiations were continuing.

 

Iranian officials have confirmed receiving proposals for talksbut say they are reviewing them while insisting Iran will not accept ultimatums.

 

The war, now entering its fourth week, has already drawn in multiple regional actors and heightened tensions around strategic chokepoints such as the Strait of Hormuz,raising concerns that a wider confrontation could disrupt global energy flows and destabilize the region further.

 

Saba Zanganeh, a former diplomat close to the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader, told the moderate outlet Fararu on March 25 thatthe conflict should prompt regional governments to reconsider their security policies and alliances.

 

He said regional governments have often acted as secondary players under foreign influence,worsening conflicts rather than resolving them.

The current war, he added, offers a stark lesson thatcontinuing the existing model will deepen regional crises.

 

He argued that decades of instability stem from what he describedas “a flawed strategic paradigm shared by regional states and external powers,” which he said hasrepeatedly produced destruction and fragmentation in countries includingIraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen.==

 

Hossein Mousavian, Iran’s former ambassador to Germany,offered a more confrontational assessment.

 

Speaking to Etemad Online, he said Iranian officialsincreasingly view Persian Gulf Arab states as partners in the conflict, sharing what he described as acommon objective of the “complete destruction of Iran.”

 

Mousavian said Tehran is preparing for the possibility of a broader confrontation involving the United States and its regional allies.

 

Another former diplomat, Kourosh Ahmadi,suggested the conflict may last far longer than initially expected.

 

Speaking to Fararu, he noted that both Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu first suggested the war might last only four to seven days before revising their estimates to several weeks.Even those expectations may prove unrealistic, he said.

 

Ahmadi pointed to Iran’s ability to restrict or control shipping in the Strait of Hormuz as a decisive factor in prolonging the conflict.As long as Tehran maintains that leverage over one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints, he argued, the war is unlikely to end quickly.

 

“Israel seeks the collapse and incapacitation of Iran, not merely political concessions,” he said, arguing that Washington’s goals were more limited and often diverged from that of Israel.

Iran’s plans to reduce its reliance on the Strait of Hormuz appear to have delivered little practical change so far, according to tanker-tracking data from Kpler obtained by Iran International.

For more than a decade, Tehran has invested heavily in the Jask oil terminal, a project designed to shift part of its crude exports to the Gulf of Oman and create an alternative export route outside the Persian Gulf in times of crisis. Yet the data suggests the terminal has so far played only a marginal role in Iran’s export system.

 

According to Kpler data, Iran loaded an average of about 1.84 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude during the first 25 days of March. The contribution of the Jask terminal remained minimal.

Average loadings from Jask stood at roughly 81,000 bpd during this period—less than 5% of Iran’s total crude exports.

 

Historical patterns suggest this limitation may be structural. Iran first initiated exports from Jask in October 2024 amid heightened military tensions with Israel. Even then, volumes remained modest at around 77,000 bpd. In March 2025, exports from the terminal averaged roughly 54,000 bpd.

 

This is despite the fact that Jask is connected to Iran’s main oil-producing regions through a pipeline stretching nearly 1,000 kilometers, an infrastructure investment intended to enable significant export capacity outside the Persian Gulf.

 

In practice, Iran’s dependence on Kharg Island remains overwhelming.

 

Kpler data indicates that more than 84% of Iran’s oil exports in March were loaded from Kharg, while Jask accounted for just 4.4%. Another roughly 10% originated from the Soroush and South Pars terminals in the Persian Gulf.

 

Such concentration creates a clear strategic vulnerability: any disruption at Kharg could severely cripple Iran’s oil exports.

 

The question has gained renewed relevance as the war between Iran and the United States and Israel has intensified. The Strait of Hormuz—through which roughly a fifth of global oil trade passes—has become a central point of tension, with Tehran periodically restricting maritime traffic.

 

At the same time, reports have emerged of expanding US military operations in the region, including contingency planning involving strategic islands near the Strait of Hormuz that could be used to control access to the waterway.

 

In such a scenario,Iran’s continued reliance on export infrastructure concentrated around Kharg would leave its oil trade exposed to disruption.

 

Overall, theexport data underscores a fundamental reality: despite years of investment, Iran has not succeeded in meaningfully reducing its dependence on the Strait of Hormuz—or, more critically, on the Kharg export hub.

 

In a volatile regional environment, that dependence represents a significant structural weakness.

LOS ANGELES - The intensifying struggle for control over the strategic Panama Canal has now triggered an escalation in global maritime tensions.

 

The United States Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) said it is closely monitoring a sharp surge in the detention of Panama flagged vessels by Chinese authorities.

 

Beijing’s aggressive actions are believed to be a direct retaliation for a ruling by Panama’s Supreme Courtat the end of January, which unilaterally annulled the legal framework supporting CK Hutchison’s historic 1997 concession.

 

The ruling stripped the Hong Kong based company of its operating rights over the Balboa and Cristobal terminals, which sit on the Pacific and Atlantic sides of the Panama Canal, a crucial route that supports five percent of global maritime trade.

 

The cancellation of the concession followed strong pressure from Washington, which has been seeking to curb China’s influence in the strategic waterway.

 

According to Reuters (27/03/2026), following the controversial ruling,the Panamanian government immediately appointed two subsidiaries of major US and European companies, Maersk APM Terminals and Terminal Investment Limited of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), as interim port operators under an 18 month agreement.

 

Given the escalation, FMC Chair Laura DiBellarevealed that the rate of detentions of Panama flagged vessels by China has now far exceeded historical levels. Maritime intelligence from Lloyd’s List Intelligence shows that nearly 70 vessels have been detained since 8 March alone.

 

These intensive inspections are being carried out under informal directives and appear intended to punish Panamaafter the transfer of Hutchison’s port assets, DiBella said in an official statement.

 

The tensions are expected to directly affect the economic lifeline of the United States.

 

Since Panama flagged vesselscarry a very significant share of US containerised trade, these actions could result in major commercial and strategic consequences for US shipping, DiBella warned, adding that the FMC has full legal authority to investigate whether foreign regulations or practices are harming US commerce.

 

At the same time,China’s Ministry of Transport has reportedly summoned representatives from Maersk and MSC to Beijing for high level talks.

 

Meanwhile,CK Hutchison, which had operated the portsfor nearly 30 years, responded forcefully. The companyaccused Panamanian authorities of illegally seizing assets and has launched an international arbitration claim seeking more than US$2 billion in damages.

Speaking on his Fresh Freedom podcast, Burlison said, “I have seen videos of objects.

I can't tell you exactly what they are—I say that because I'm saying I saw it and I can't tell what they are and neither could the people that filmed them. It’s something that’s wild like, you know defies logic, the way in which they operate.”

“What you're often seeing is these glowing type orbs. They look like balls of plasma that seem to be stationary and then sometimes they'll just move at incredible speeds,” Burlison said.

“I don't know what that is, and I don't think that our intelligence community knows what these things are.”

 

The New York Post reported that Burlison has been pursuing access to classified military installations he believes may be connected to UAPs and alleged crash‑retrieval programs.

Burlison told the outlet he has already toured one classified U.S. base and hopes to visit several others.

 

Burlison emphasized that, despite viewing classified material and videos—including footage of small, silver orb‑like objects—he remains skeptical and suggested he needs more concrete evidence before drawing conclusions about the nature of UAPs, it reported.

“I've been given access to go visit a site—multiple sites potentially. I've already visited one. I plan to visit at least three more,” he said on the podcast.

“And you know, I might be given the dog and pony show and taken to the cafeteria or whatever, but at least I'm able to do my part and try to do everything I can to get to these locations and see what's there.

And then I've also asked for briefings. We're getting more and more information and we have more and more whistleblowers coming to us all the time. So I think that this is starting to unravel. I really do.”

 

What Happens Next

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth offered an update on disclosure plans while speaking to reporters last month, saying, “We’ve got our people working on it right now.

I don't want to oversell how much time it will take, right? We're digging in. We're going to be in full compliance with that executive order, eager to provide that for the president.

So, there'll be more coming on that as far as the process of what we'll do.”

First lady Melania Trump said she has established an “open channel of communication” with Russian President Vladimir Putin in recent months, hoping to reunite children separated from their families during the war in Ukraine.

 

In one of her most substantive public remarks since her husband’s return to office, Trump said her representatives and Putin’s office have “participated in several backchannel meetings and calls, all in good faith,” about the welfare of children affected by the war.

 

“President Putin and I have had an open channel of communication regarding the welfare of children for the past three months,” Trump said, adding that both sides “agreed to cooperate with each other for the benefit of all people involved.”

 

Trump claimed that eight Ukrainian children have been reunited with their families in the past 24 hours as part of the initiative. Three of the children had been separated from their parents and displaced inside Russia due to front-line fighting, she said, while five others had been cut off from family members across borders since the early stages of the conflict.

 

The first lady said she had received documentation and photographs from Russian officials verifying the identities and conditions of the children involved, including a “verification report” prepared by the commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights and the Russian presidential commissioner for children’s rights. The facts have been confirmed by the U.S. government, she said.

 

“This is an important initiative,” Trump said. “It is still on shared purpose and lasting impact. My ongoing mission is two-fold — to optimize a transparent, free-flow exchange of information surrounding all children who have fallen victim to this war and to facilitate the regular communication of children with their families until each individual returns home.”

 

Trump said the discussions also covered those who were minors when displaced but have since turned 18 and remain in Russia. She claimed that Moscow agreed to “rejoin” those individuals with their families “within a short period of time.”

 

The International Criminal Court last year issued an arrest warrant for Putin over the alleged unlawful deportation of children from occupied Ukrainian territories.

 

The first lady has largely stayed out of the spotlight since Donald Trump returned to office. The reunification of children initiative marks her most substantial public policy effort this year. She first relayed a letter to Putin after Donald Trump met with the Russian president in Anchorage, Alaska, in August.

The European Parliament has approved the most radical plan for detaining and deporting illegal migrants ever proposed within the Union—an overhaul that dramatically tightens border controls and speeds up the removal of those who enter irregularly.

 

The approval has triggered a political shockwave in Brussels.

 

Not only because of how forceful the measures are, but because of how quickly they will take effect:

deportations and returns will be enforced immediately , without long bureaucratic delays, without months of waiting, and without the legal loopholes that for years allowed thousands of migrants to remain in Europe despite having final expulsion orders.

 

The message from the European Parliament is unmistakable: the era of vague policies, half-measures, and empty declarations is over.

Europe—pushed by national governments, overwhelmed reception systems, and growing public frustration—has decided to impose a 180-degree shift in its migration model.

More than a month after President Donald Trump vowed to begin releasing “government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life,” the vice president, 41, opened up about his perspectives on UFOs in an interview with right-wing political commentator and YouTuber Benny Johnson published on Saturday, March 28.

The topic of UFOs — a.k.a. unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) — arose multiple times throughout the conversation, with Vance admitting that he was obsessed with them when he first took office, and revealing that he believes them to be “demons,” not aliens.

“I don't think they're aliens,” the vice president told Johnson, 38. “I think they're demons anyway, but that's a longer discussion.”

 

Asked to elaborate on his belief, Vance, who grew up atheist and converted to Catholicism in his 30s, said, “Well, look, I think that celestial beings who fly around, who do weird things to people, I think that the desire to describe everything celestial, everything is otherworldly, to describe it as aliens.”

“I mean, every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there and there are things that are very difficult to explain,” he continued.

“And I naturally go, when I hear about, sort of, extra natural phenomenon … to the Christian understanding that there's a lot of good out there, but there's also some evil out there,” Vance said.

“And I think that one of the devil's great tricks is to convince people we never existed.”

 

Asked earlier in the interview if he is going to “release all the UFO files,” the vice president said, “We're working on it.”

“It's funny. When I came in, I was obsessed with the UFO files. And then you start getting really busy worrying about the economy and national security and things like that,” he continued. “But I've still got three more years as vice president. I will get to the bottom of the UFO files.”

 

Despite his admitted obsession with UFOs, Vance told Johnson that he has not “peeked” at Area 51 (referring to the rumors about a classified U.S. Air Force facility in the Nevada desert) or looked into other UFO-related conspiracy theories — but vowed that he is going to “get to the bottom of it.”

“I have not been able to spend enough time on this to really understand it, but I am going to. Trust me, I'm obsessed with this,” the vice president said.

“I've already had a couple of times where I'm like, ‘All right, we're going to Area 51. We're going out to New Mexico. We're going to sort of get to the bottom of this.’ And then the timing of the trip just didn't work out.”

“But trust me, anybody who's curious about this, I'm more curious than anybody,” he continued. “And I've got three years of the very tippy top of the classification. I'm going to get to the bottom of it.”

 

Vance’s UFO comments come after Trump, 79, promised to release all government files relating to UFOs, UAPs and alien life in a Feb. 19 Truth Social post.

The president wrote, “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. Two suspected Ukrainian drones have crashed in Finland, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has reported, conjecturing that the UAVs were launched as part of Kiev’s latest attacks on neighboring Russia’s Leningrad Region.

 

In a post on X on Sunday, Orpo wrote that the“drones have strayed into Finnish territory,”and that the incident was being investigated by local authorities and the Defense Forces.

According to the Nordic country’s Defense Ministry, “several small, slow-flying, low-flying objects were observed in Finnish airspace over the seaand in southeastern Finland on Sunday morning.”

 

F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets were deployed to monitor the drones, but did not use suppressive fire so as to avoid collateral damage, according to Yle News.

 

The Defense Ministry stated that the UAVs eventually crashed near the city of Kouvola, roughly 100 kilometers (62 miles) west of the Russian border.

 

Since early March, the Defense Ministry inMoscow has reported that its air defenses have shot down hundreds of Ukrainian drones in Russian airspace on an almost daily basis. The Kremlin has characterized the UAV incursions as “terrorist attacks.”

 

On Wednesday, an unusually large number of drones were downed over Leningrad Region, with the raid resulting in a blaze in the port area of Ust-Luga,which is home to a major gas-processing complex as well as Europe’s largest oil terminal specializing in the transshipment of petroleum products from rail to sea tankers.

 

There were no injuries among civilians in the region, according to the authorities.

 

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday, aUkrainian UAV hit the chimney of the Auvere Power Plant in northeastern Estonia, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal reported.

 

At around the same time, anotherUkrainian drone impacted neighboring Latvia, the country’s Defense Ministry stated.

 

Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene had said early in the week that aUAV launched from Ukraine went astray and crashed in the south of the Baltic nationon Monday. According to the Baltic nation’s Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas,the drone went undetected by NATO radarbecause it was “flying at an altitude of less than 300 meters.”

 

Last September, after more than a dozen drones were reported crossing into Poland, Russia accusedUkraine of deliberately sending UAVs into NATO territory as part of a false flag attack, apparently with a view to pitting the Western military bloc directly against Russia.

White House renamed ‘Epstein Island’ on Google phones – WaPo

 

The tech giant has blamed the incident on a “fake edit” on its mapping platform

 

The White House was briefly renamed ‘Epstein Island’ for some Google Pixel phone users, the Washington Post has reported.

 

The term is used to refer to the Caribbean island of Little St. James, which had been owned by the late convicted pedophile Jeffry Epstein. According to the prosecutors, it served as the venue for sex trafficking and other abuses involving some high-profile figures in business and politics.

 

WaPo said in an article on Saturday that when its journalist tried calling the White House switchboard earlier this week, the name on screen indicated that they were contacting “Epstein Island.”

 

Only users of Google’s Pixel phones experienced the issue. For those calling the presidential residence from other Android phones and iPhones, no name was displayed, the report read.

 

Google spokesperson Matthew Flegal later told the paper that there was a “fake edit” in Google Maps that had been “briefly” picked up in the call identification feature of some Android phones.

 

The user behind it has been identified and blocked from making further edits because his actions violated Google’s policies, Flegal said.

 

The White House’s name has been restored on the mapping platform, he added.

 

The US Department of Justice released the final batch of over 3 million pages, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images relating to Epstein’s case in January. The details of the Wall Street financier’s dealings with some of the most powerful people in the US and UK have only worsened the scandal.

 

US President Donald Trump had ordered the agency to release the files in November, following intense pressure from the lawmakers and his own supporters. The documents mention Trump’s name over 5,000 times, but without any indication of criminal activity. However, they have been heavily redacted, leaving many critics unconvinced.

Israeli Factory Hit by Iranian Missile Causing Potential Hazardous Material Leak

 

An Iranian missile attack in an industrial zone on Sunday obliterated a factory and prompted concerns of a hazardous materials leak, with potential pesticides being emitted from the fiery wreckage.

 

The incident occurred in Southern Israel’s Neot Hovav industrial zone.

Fire and rescue teams are working to seal and contain damaged chemical storage units at a factory at the Neot Hovav industrial zone in southern Israel following an Iranian missile strike and reports of a hazardous materials leak, which the deputy head of the fire service’s Southern District, Itzik Levy, says is a pesticide.

 

No casualties have been reported and staff from the facility and nearby plants have been evacuated.

 

Members of the public are asked not to approach the area, and residents of nearby areas are told to stay indoors, close windows and heed the orders of security and rescue forces until officials can gauge the situation.

Palm Beach Elections Volunteer Arrested for Stealing Computer Equipment and Encrypted Access Key Ahead of Special Election Won by Democrat

 

A man accused of stealing election computer equipment in Palm Beach County was arrested on Saturday, authorities said.

 

John Panicci was charged with taking damaged computer equipment, supplies/electronic devices.

 

According to detectives, on Friday, they arrived at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office after receiving reports that sensitive computer equipment had been stolen.

 

During their investigation, detectives said that on March 19, the Elections Office was doing a training session for volunteers who were going to help with the election scheduled on March 24.

 

Detectives said that during the training session, Panicci stole an encrypted access key from a voter registration terminal.

 

The key that Panacci allegedly took was programmed only for the training databases, but there were concerns that if someone else could reverse engineer the encryption, they could then use it on a voter registration kiosk for malicious purposes.

'Incredibly Problematic' - Iran Destroys US AWACS Jet At Saudi Airbase

 

In a major feat that comes weeks after the White House claimed that Iran's ballistic missile capability had been "functionally destroyed," Iran has laid waste to one of only 16 American E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft in the world, sending $500 million worth of technology up in smoke and crimping the US military's ability to maintain situational awareness. The same attack also "damaged" several aerial refueling tankers and added a dozen service members to the tally of more than 300 who've been wounded in the month-long US-Israeli war on Iran. Thirteen have been killed.

 

In recent days, foreign satellite images showed what appeared to be major damage at Prince Sultan Air Base, a U.S. military base located in Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia.

 

The images show damage on the base's main apron, which holds high-value aircraft.

 

According to military aviation aficionados, the identifier "OK 81-0005" visible on the severed tail confirms this particular aircraft was an E-3G named "Captain Planet," which deployed to the Middle East theater from Oklahoma's Tinker Air Force Base. It's not clear if any of the recently-wounded service members were associated with the aircraft, which was destroyed in a missile-and-drone attack on PSAB.

 

"The loss of this E-3 is incredibly problematic, given how crucial these battle managers are to everything from airspace deconfliction, aircraft deconfliction, targeting, and providing other lethal effects that the entire force needs for the battle space," Heather Penney, a former F-16 pilot and director of studies and research at AFA's Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies, told Air & Space Forces Magazine.

UK's Ofcom To Investigate Complaints Of Climate-Change Denial

A U-turn by the UK’s broadcasting regulator Ofcom means it will investigate complaints of climate change denial on television and radio for the first time since 2017. The move marks a victory for campaigners who have accused the regulator of allowing some broadcasters “to spout dangerous climate lies” and “flout” rules on accuracy and impartiality.

 

The first point to make is that there are already rules in place to address factually inaccurate news reporting. But this is not what is at issue here.

 

OFCOM, it appears, now want to police free speech. Both of these new complaints concern the views of guests, not the journalists or presenters.

 

Guests on these sort of shows make all sorts of outlandish, and sometimes patently false, comments about all sorts of topics. That is their right. We still have something called freedom of speech in this country.

 

OFCOM does not get involved in these other cases, so why should they intervene when the topic is climate change?

 

This decision to intervene in free speech by OFCOM opens a whole new barrel of worms.

“The Heads of the Churches have acted with full responsibility,” the statement continues, “and, since the outset of the war, have complied with all imposed restrictions: public gatherings were cancelled, attendance was prohibited, and arrangements were made to broadcast the celebrations to hundreds of millions of faithful worldwide, who, during these days of Easter, turn their eyes to Jerusalem and to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.”

 

“Preventing the entry of the Cardinal and the Custos, who bear the highest ecclesiastical responsibility for the Catholic Church and the Holy Places, constitutes a manifestly unreasonable and grossly disproportionate measure,” the statement went on to criticize. “This hasty and fundamentally flawed decision, tainted by improper considerations, represents an extreme departure from basic principles of reasonableness, freedom of worship, and respect for the Status Quo [sic].”

 

The cardinal went on the lead a simpler liturgical service in front of the Church of All Nations in Gethsemane. He blessed the City with a relic of the True Cross and called for “inner peace to flow from the heart of every Christian to the entire world, and especially to the Holy Land,” a subsequent post to X by the Church reads.

Teacher Sexual Misconduct Is ‘Rampant’ in U.S. Schools, Leading Experts Find

 

It’s like a pandemic: Weekly news reports of yet another teacher arrested for having an erotic relationship with a student – often a young, attractive female exploiting a teen male under the age of consent.

 

But this phenomenon of “educator sexual misconduct,” or ESM, is not as bad as it appears.

 

In fact, it’s worse.

 

Such stories evoke the prurient pop music theme found in the rock band Van Halen’s 1984 tune “Hot For Teacher.”

 

However, in the real world, the overwhelming majority of these criminal relationships are never disclosed and prosecuted, and their destructive impact on victims goes largely unreported.

 

It was “traumatic,” said Grant Strickland, a Greenville, North Carolina teen, one of the few boys to speak out years after a 33-year-old teacher Nicole Callaham allegedly groomed him in 2021 at age 14 with alcohol and marijuana into a two-year sexual relationship.

 

“I would never want someone to go through with what I went through,” he told reporters following a court hearing of his alleged abuser. “Because I don’t think most people would be showing up to survive it. Because I almost didn’t.”

 

In fact, exclusive interviews with leading researchers and forensic psychologists on the subject and an investigation by Breitbart News into the data reveals into that such sexual abuse is both underreported and understudied — despite being what one researcher called “a serious public health concern.”

 

The causes range from teacher shortages to undetected personality disorders in educators to what clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson has called the collapse of Western values and the embrace of “subjective morality,” inflamed by an online world where anything goes.

 

As for the numbers and trends, the Department of Education (DOE) study of 50 million students in nearly all of the 100,000 schools in the U.S., updated in 2022, showed a nearly 100 percent increase in educator rape or attempted rape since an earlier study published in 2004.

 

That statistic actually underestimates problem because only six percent of student victims disclose what they experience, a previous DOE study revealed.

 

“It’s definitely underreported,” leading researcher Charol Shakeshaft recently told Breitbart News.

Twice-Censored Landmark COVID-19 Vaccine Autopsy Study Fully Peer-Reviewed and Published

 

After enduring relentless censorship, our systematic review linking COVID-19 vaccines to death is now available for the entire world to read.

 

The largest COVID-19 vaccine autopsy study to-date, providing robust evidence that COVID-19 vaccines can cause death, has been officially republished following successful peer-review in the journal Science, Public Health Policy, and the Law: A Systematic Review Of Autopsy Findings In Deaths After COVID-19 Vaccination. This comes after unethical censorship on two occasions: first, removal from Preprints with the Lancet and later, withdrawal by Elsevier after publication in Forensic Science International.

 

Here’s what we found:

 

Background: The rapid development of COVID-19 vaccines, combined with a high number of adverse event reports, have led to concerns over possible mechanisms of injury including systemic lipid nanoparticle (LNP) and mRNA distribution, Spike protein-associated tissue damage, thrombogenicity, immune system dysfunction, and carcinogenicity. The aim of this systematic review is to investigate possible causal links between COVID-19 vaccine administration and death using autopsies and post-mortem analysis.

 

Methods: We searched PubMed and ScienceDirect for all published autopsy and organ-restricted autopsy reports relating to COVID-19 vaccination up until May 18th, 2023. All autopsy and organ-restricted autopsy studies that included COVID-19 vaccination as an antecedent exposure were included. Because the state of knowledge has advanced since the time of the original publications, three physicians independently reviewed each case and adjudicated whether or not COVID-19 vaccination was the direct cause or contributed significantly to death.

 

Results: We initially identified 678 studies and, after screening for our inclusion criteria, included 44 papers that contained 325 autopsy cases and one organ-restricted autopsy case (heart). The mean age of death was 70.4 years. The most implicated organ system among cases was the cardiovascular (49%), followed by hematological (17%), respiratory (11%), and multiple organ systems (7%). Three or more organ systems were affected in 21 cases. The mean time from vaccination to death was 14.3 days. Most deaths occurred within a week from last vaccine administration. A total of 240 deaths (73.9%) were independently adjudicated as directly due to or significantly contributed to by COVID-19 vaccination, of which the primary causes of death include sudden cardiac death (35%), pulmonary embolism (12.5%), myocardial infarction (12%), VITT (7.9%), myocarditis (7.1%), multisystem inflammatory syndrome (4.6%), and cerebral hemorrhage (3.8%).

 

Conclusions: The consistency seen among cases in this review with known COVID-19 vaccine mechanisms of injury and death, coupled with autopsy confirmation by physician adjudication, suggests there is a high likelihood of a causal link between COVID-19 vaccines and death. Further urgent investigation is required for the purpose of clarifying our findings.

Our Obsession with Hypocrisy Is Making Things Worse

 

You hypocrite.

 

These words hit people hard. They sting. Your pulse may quicken upon seeing them.

 

This aversion has deep roots. For many people, disgust of hypocrisy is part of the cultural fabric that weaves together their beliefs, judgments, and decisions. Religion provides an obvious starting point. In the Bible, Jesus rails repeatedly against the hypocritical Pharisees. Dante’s “Inferno” shows vividly what their fate could be: Hypocrites are banished to the second-lowest circle of Hell, together with “everything that fits / The definition of sheer filth.” There, they are forced to trudge around wearing cloaks that have dazzling gold on the outside, but which are lined with crushing lead within, making them as deceptive as their wearers.

 

Philosophers have also given hypocrisy a hard time, from Plato onwards. His “Republic” defines the “perfectly unjust man” as someone who has “secured for himself the greatest reputation for justice… while committing the greatest wrongs.” The 18th-century philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau hated hypocrisy with an unnerving intensity, writing:

 

“The vile and groveling soul of the hypocrite is like a corpse, without fire, or warmth, or vitality left. I appeal to experience. Great villains have been known to return into themselves, end their life wholesomely, and die saved. But no one has ever known a hypocrite becoming a good man.”

 

Surprisingly, modern philosophers are not much more restrained. Hannah Arendt admits that “only crime and the criminal, it is true, confront us with the perplexity of radical evil; but only the hypocrite is really rotten to the core.” Judith Shklar thinks that we see hypocrisy as “the only unforgivable sin” remaining today.

Taxpayers fund radical SoCal group helping run city’s No Kings protest

 

Taxpayers are yet again helping fund disruptive activism in Los Angeles — this time the radicals planning to chaos across the city and county for Saturday’s “No Kings” protests, which organizers claim will be the biggest yet.

 

One the leading groups participating in the event is the Liberty Hill Foundation, a social justice nonprofit that receives $14 million in Los Angeles city funding for tenant outreach and housing programs.

 

Public filings show the group has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the ACLU of Southern California, raising further questions about taxpayer-supported organizations being used for radical political advocacy.

 

ACLU of Southern California is a civil rights legal organization that frequently challenges government policy through litigation and advocacy.

 

The group has filed multiple lawsuits against the City and County of Los Angeles over issues ranging from homelessness enforcement to civil liberties and policing practices.

 

Other big supporters of the No Kings protests are Unite Here Local 11 and SEIU Local 21, organizations with well documented ties to City Hall and alignment with the City Council’s progressive bloc, including radical socialists, Eunisses Hernandez and Hugo Soto-Martinez.
