Guerriero posted 75 X posts last Thursday before she was found dead in her home later that night.

According to The Daily Mail, Guerriero’s father said the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death are still a mystery.

“We really don’t know yet. We’re waiting to get access to the autopsy report. I believe they’re going to issue a death certificate within the next day so we can get her home and have her put to rest,” William Guerriero told The Daily Mail.

“It could have been an accident. She could have slipped. It could have been anything. We’re waiting for the death certificate so we know what happened,” he said.

The US has stepped up purchases of Russian fertilizers despite broader Western restrictions on Moscow, with shipments rising by nearly a quarter in the first half of 2026, according to the Russia’s Export Center.

Veronika Nikishina, the center’s head, told RIA Novosti on Monday that the overall distribution of fertilizer exports had changed little since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. The US now ranks third among destinations for Russian supplies, she said, while Western Europe remains a larger market despite a decline in shipments this year.

Russia is the world’s largest exporter of fertilizers and one of the biggest producers, making its supplies difficult to replace on international markets. Fertilizer exports from the country were not directly targeted by Western sanctions, although broader restrictions on banking, shipping, and insurance have complicated trade. Moscow has meanwhile redirected a larger share of deliveries toward BRICS nations and the Global South.

“Sanctions against Russian fertilizers could have devastating consequences because of their importance to global food security. Even hardliners in unfriendly countries understand this,” Nikishina said.

US customs data cited by RIA in July showed that American fertilizer imports from Russia reached a record $1.04 billion between January and May, up 28% from a year earlier. Russia was the second-largest supplier to the US over that period after Canada, the figures showed.

In 2022, Washington authorized transactions involving Russian agricultural commodities including fertilizers to reduce the risk of shortages. The EU by contrast began imposing additional tariffs on some Russian nitrogen fertilizers in July 2025 as part of its drive to reduce reliance on Moscow, with the levies due to rise to €430 ($500) per ton by 2028.

The US-Israeli war on Iran and the disruption in the Strait of Hormuz have further exacerbated pressure on global fertilizer markets. The waterway handles an estimated third of the world’s fertilizer trade and a fifth of LNG shipments – a key input in the production of nitrate fertilizers. Experts, including Heartland Institute adviser Jeff Stier, have warned that any simultaneous disruption in the strait, the Black Sea, and to supplies from other major producers could trigger shortages of crop nutrients and a delayed food-price shock.

Background:

Antidepressants are among the most prescribed medications in the United States. The aim of this study was to explore the prevalence of antidepressant prescriptions and investigate sex differences and age-sex interactions in adults enrolled in the Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Time: Using Genomic Data to Individualize Treatment (RIGHT) study.

Materials and Methods:

We conducted a retrospective analysis of the RIGHT study. Using electronic prescriptions, we assessed 12-month prevalence of antidepressant treatment. Sex differences and age-sex interactions were evaluated using multivariable logistic regression and flexible recursive smoothing splines.

Results:

The sample consisted of 11,087 participants (60% women). Antidepressant prescription prevalence was 22.24% (27.96% women, 13.58% men). After adjusting for age and enrollment year, women had significantly greater odds of antidepressant prescription (odds ratio = 2.29; 95% confidence interval = 2.07, 2.54). Furthermore, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) had a significant age-sex interaction. While SSRI prescriptions in men showed a sustained decrease with age, there was no such decline for women until after reaching ∼50 years of age. There are important limitations to consider in this study. Electronic prescription data were cross-sectional; information on treatment duration or adherence was not collected; this cohort is not nationally representative; and enrollment occurred over a broad period, introducing confounding by changes in temporal prescribing practices.

Conclusions:

Underscored by the significant interaction between age and sex on odds of SSRI prescription, our results warrant age to be incorporated as a mediator when investigating sex differences in mental illness, especially mood disorders and their treatment.

The EU drastically reduced Russian oil and gas imports following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022,while Brussels has committed to completely phasing out Russian fossil fuels by 2027. Energy costs have since surged across much of the bloc, with the US-Israeli war on Iran adding further pressure.

Speaking at the La Rencontre des Entrepreneurs de France (REF) business conference in Paris on Thursday, von der Leyen said that “for a long time, the European economic model relied on”several key factors, including inexpensive energy imports. However, the pillars that once underpinned the bloc’s prosperity have now “disappeared,” she added.

Without addressing the reasons behind the rise in energy costs, von der Leyen noted that“European prices remain two to three times higher than in the United States and China.”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz acknowledged last month that Berlin’s self-imposed embargo on Russian energy was the main cause of the “ongoing energy crisis” that has eroded the competitiveness of German industry.Before 2022, Russia supplied approximately 55% of Germany’s natural gas imports.

French President Emmanuel Macron similarly warned earlier this year that the EU was in “emergency mode” over soaring energy costs after replacing Russian pipeline gas with more expensive liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the US.

The Financial Times reported in June, citing projections by consultancy Wood Mackenzie, that the EU could enter the coming heating season with its lowest gas reserves in 15 years.

Some member states have since balked at further restrictions on Russian LNG as Brussels pushes to end long-term imports beginning next year.Against this backdrop, the bloc has recently stepped up purchases of Russian LNG, Bloomberg reported earlier this month.

Despite the resistance and renewed purchases, the European Commission has maintained that it will proceed with the total phase-out of Russian energy imports, even in the event of physical shortages or the threat of power cuts.

Moscow has repeatedly described EU sanctions, particularly those targeting its energy sector, as self-defeating measures that undermine the bloc’s competitiveness.Russia, meanwhile, has redirected much of its energy exports elsewhere, primarily Asia.

More charges likely for property scammer Darron Levin

More people are set to come forward as convicted fraudster Darron Levin is charged with multiple counts of deception, impersonation, and intimidation.

In July, MWM reported on Darron Marc Levin, who’d allegedly been duping investors into buying pieces of a fictitious property in the upmarket Sydney suburb of North Bondi. Last week he was arrested and charged with swindling six victims out of $650,000. At least five more people are likely to come forward.

At 7 am on Tuesday, August 25, heavily armed police from the ODIN special operations group came knocking on the door of Levin’s luxury apartment in Sydney’s Potts Point. They were joined by detectives who arrested him on 31 charges, including obtaining financial advantage by deception, impersonating a solicitor and attempting to stalk and intimidate intend fear of harm in a person.

NSW police have confirmed the investigation is ongoing.

Threats and intimidation

One of the charges is for threats made against 41-year-old single mother of two, Sissi Wang, who had exposed Levin two months earlier in a viral social media video. A defiant Wang, who alleges she was scammed out of $30,350, also posted audio of one of those threats in which Levin can clearly be heard threatening to blow up her home.

Wang, a successful photographer with more than 1.6 million social media followers, told MWM, “As soon as my video appeared on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, the threats began. He first said he would financially destroy me and that his lawyers would get millions of dollars out of me for defamation.

“Then he directly threatened me and my family. I was genuinely scared, so I went to the police.”

NSW Police arrested Levin the day before a MWM investigation into him was published. He was served with an apprehended domestic violence order and was also criminally charged for threats he made against Wang.

He appeared in Manly Court on August 11, where he was granted an adjournment for the matter to be heard at Sydney’s Downing Centre in September. That charge has now been joined with the other offences for which he was arrested on August 25.

In total he’s alleged to have robbed unsuspecting investors of $652,350. NSW Police allege they found an estimated $2.5m in luxury watches and jewellery in his apartment, and that these were bought with the proceeds of crime.

He was charged with offences against six individuals; MWM has spoken to four others, who allege they’d paid Levin a combined total of $151,000. They say they have, or are about to, file reports with NSW Police.

A debt collector for two other women he’d met on dating websites says one, allegedly owed $10,000, has contacted police, while the other, who says she lost $18,000, is considering coming forward.

Impersonating a solicitor

As the matter is now before the courts, police will not confirm the details of the charges against Levin. However, the allegation that he impersonated a solicitor likely stems from correspondence he sent to individuals, purporting to act on behalf of a Sydney law firm.

In June 2026, Levin forwarded a copy of an email to an associate, using the firm’s email signature, claiming that $26m in funds had just been released from a trust account to DML Corp, a company name that does not appear on the ASIC register.

Taxpayers who watched entire neighborhoods burn in January 2025 now watch the same government treat federal immigration enforcement as another "emergency" worthy of six-figure rent wipeouts.

After the Eaton and Palisades fires, supervisors approved $10 million to help tenants and landlords dealing with fire-related rent losses. They then kept $5 million for fire claims and moved the other $5 million into a priority category covering "economic hardship because of federal actions targeting immigrant communities." Another $9.788 million from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund was pointed at the same category unless fire victims still had unmet need.

Households can receive up to six months of housing debt relief, generally capped at $15,000 per rental unit. Eligible costs include unpaid rent, mortgages, and related expenses.

The county's own February 2026 program guide states: "Program eligibility does not require the disclosure of household members' immigration status."

If an applicant claims federal enforcement caused the hardship, officials may ask for detention records. They do not have to produce them. An attestation or other hardship can still qualify the household. The county therefore cannot tell the public how many noncitizens received the money - because it chose not to collect the data.

TAMPA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has ordered that automated license plate readers, including Flock cameras, be removed from state roads.

FDOT issued a memorandum Monday directing local law enforcement agencies to remove all license plate readers (LPRs) from state highway rights-of-way within 30 days, a deadline of Sept. 30, 2026.

Prysmian, one of the giants in the cable manufacturing industry, has announced that it are investing over $1 billion into a manufacturing facility in North Carolina, creating hundreds of new jobs.

The 1.2 million-square-foot campus is expected to nearly double the size of Prysmian’s on-site workforce, which will create fiber optic cables that are critical for the American economy and national security. The construction project will take an estimated two years to complete.

The left-wing former president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, formally accused the US and Israel of meddling in his country’s run-off election, which was held in June.

De la Espriella was declared the winner by a tiny margin of less than 1 percent, amid widespread allegations of sabotage and extreme regularities.

Petro said the Colombian government had collected evidence proving that US and Israeli technology companies interfered in Colombia’s election in order to put De la Espriella in power.

Petro specifically named the Israeli firm BlackCore, which has been accused of meddling in elections in numerous countries.

Even the French government has said it gathered evidence proving that Israel’s BlackCore undermined elections in France, Scotland, and New York.

De la Espriella did not hide the fact that he was conspiring with the US government in the lead-up to the 2026 elections.

In March, just a few months before the first round of the vote was held in May, De la Espriella traveled to Miami to meet with top US officials.

De la Espriella posted on Twitter a photo with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and María Elvira Salazar, a far-right Congress member from Florida who has openly called for the US to overthrow the government of Cuba.

De la Espriella vowed that, when he became president, he would wholeheartedly embrace the US.

President Donald Trump has struck deals with nine more pharmaceutical companies to slash drug prices for patients.

Trump announced the deals with Alcon, Astellas Pharma, BeOne Medicines, BridgeBio, CSL, Kyowa Kirin, Sun Pharma, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and UCB on Monday in the Oval Office while flanked by pharmaceutical executives.

“I’m thrilled to announce a major expansion of one of our signature affordability initiatives, something that people have been trying to get for years, for decades, and I’m not even sure that other presidents tried,” Trump said of his most favored nation (MFN) drug pricing initiative.

“Nine new pharmaceutical companies are committing to deliver their lowest drug prices for American patients,” he added.

The agreements ensure that every state Medicaid program will have access to MFN drug prices for all nine companies’ products, which the White House projects will save Americans across the country billions of dollars.

Moreover, the deals will lower costs “on drugs that treat numerous costly, chronic, and even rare diseases, including hemophilia, Parkinson’s disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma, liver disease, skin conditions, and various forms of cancer,” per the White House. All new innovative medicines the companies launch are guaranteed to have MFN pricing.

Additionally, the companies have committed to invest a collective $19.6 billion for U.S. manufacturing, and some companies are donating a substantial amount of ingredients to the Strategic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Reserve (SAPIR), according to the White House;

UCB will contribute 163 tons of levetiracetam, an anticonvulsant used to control and prevent certain types of seizures, to the SAPIR.

Sun Pharma will contribute 71.4 tons of clindamycin and 6.75 tons of doxycycline; both antibiotics to treat bacterial infections, to the SAPIR.

Teva Pharmaceuticals will contribute 45 metric tons of metronidazole, an antibiotic and antiprotozoal used to treat certain bacterial and parasitic infections, and 4.8 tons of amlodipine, an antihypertensive drug, to the SAPIR.

Astellas will contribute 25 kg of tacrolimus, an immunosuppressant used to prevent organ rejection in people who have had organ transplants, to the SAPIR.

These mark the 18th-26th MFN deals that Trump has secured since last fall, and nearly 90 percent of the branded drug market is included in the agreements, per the White House. Other pharmaceutical companies that have agreed to MFN deals include AstraZeneca, EMD Serono, Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Amgen, Bristol Myers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim, Genentech, Gilead Sciences, GSK, Merck, Novartis, Regeneron, Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson, and AbbVie.

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who was accused of orchestrating the September 7, 1996 drive-by shooting, could face life in prison following the conviction, per the Associated Press. Davis’ sentencing is scheduled for October 13. Judge Carli Kierny ordered that Davis be held without bond ahead of the sentencing.

During the trial, which lasted around two weeks, prosecutors argued that Davis had been a “shotcaller” for the South Side Compton Crips in Los Angeles, and that he had sought revenge against Shakur after the rapper had attacked Davis’ nephew, per NBC News.

While Davis was not charged with pulling the trigger that killed Shakur, under Nevada law, a person that help another commit murder can also be convicted of murder. Prosecutors said that Davis is the only person still alive who had ridden in the car with the shooter.

In closing arguments, Chief Deputy District Attorney Binu Palal said that Davis had believed that an agreement he entered into with federal investigators looking into the death of rapper Notorious B.I.G. had given him immunity. Bilal said that Davis had described details in Shakur’s killing that only a witness could provide, such as the positions of those inside the car used in the drive-by.

Bilal called Davis’ 2019 memoir Compton Street Legend the final piece of evidence needed to convict Davis. Davis had written in the book that he played a role in Shakur’s murder, prompting a renewed investigation into the 1996 murder.

“For nearly 18 years, Duane Davis has told the police, television, books, YouTube interviewers, anybody that will listen,” he said in his closing statement. “He has told you he is responsible for the murder of Tupac Shakur. Tell him you hear him. Find him guilty.”

Israel has unilaterally cleared hundreds of thousands of tons of rubble containing the bodies of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza, in preparation for a long-term occupation and settlement of the enclave

US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace is directly funding rubble removal and road-paving operations across Gaza that are erasing evidence of Israel's genocide and paving the way for the annexation and Jewish settlement of the strip.

Palestinian researcher and political writer Muhammad Shehada of the European Council on Foreign Relations reported on 27 August that the Board of Peace is “paying the expenses of the IDF's covert transfer of rubble (mixed with dead bodies) out of Gaza.”

"The money is taken from Gaza's reconstruction funds," Shehada highlighted. To date, only the US, Morocco, and the UAE have provided any actual funding to the Board of Peace.

EU diplomats reportedly informed Shehada that “Israel has been quietly moving hundreds of thousands of tons of rubble mixed with dead bodies out of Gaza to bury evidence of its genocide.”

"When the EU asked Israel why or whether they filter human remains out of the rubble, no answer ever came," Shehada added.

Since the beginning of its genocide in Gaza, Israel has killed at least 73,000 Palestinians, the majority women and children. Thousands more remain buried under the rubble of their destroyed homes.

By removing the rubble before a search for victims can be carried out with heavy equipment, Palestinians will not know whether their relatives are dead or abducted by Israeli forces and held in its network of torture centers.

Shehada indicates that proof of the Board of Peace's involvement in funding rubble removal is found in a tender document released by the board on 20 May 2026, which sought contractors for "leveling & compacting" work in Gaza.

Shehada reports that an Israeli company, Terra Firma, has been clearing rubble in Gaza using heavy machinery designed to crush debris and process it into dust, including to help the Israeli military build roads, specifically near Erez.

As a result, the Board of Peace "is actively paying, compensating, subsidizing, and aiding Israeli companies, contractors, the Israeli army, and the Israeli government for these rubble-removal and road-paving operations," the Gaza Herald writes.

"These operations systematically erase evidence of war crimes and desecrate human remains," the Herald added, as no measures are taken to separate remains of victims from the debris or to preserve potential mass graves covered by the newly constructed roads.

At the same time, critical civilian infrastructure such as water networks, electricity systems, sewage facilities, hospitals, and bakeries remain deliberately unrepaired.

According to Dr. Ramy Abdu, a prominent Palestinian human rights advocate, the Board of Peace "acts as a structural cover for ongoing land seizures and displacement."

The Board of Peace was established in the wake of the October 2025 “ceasefire” backed by the US. Trump declared that the board would oversee Gaza’s reconstruction, allegedly for the benefit of Palestinians.

However, over the past 10 months, "Israeli forces have stepped up a systematic campaign of erasure in the area of Gaza directly under their control," according to an investigation by the New Humanitarian.

"In this almost entirely depopulated zone, Israel has been tearing down whatever remains, setting fire to fields, and bulldozing towns and once-green agricultural communities into the ground," the New Humanitarian found.

The Israeli military's activity indicates it is creating "a blank slate" in Gaza and establishing infrastructure needed for the long-term occupation and ultimate annexation of the strip.

Israeli leaders have repeatedly made clear their intention to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its roughly 2 million Palestinians to pave the way for establishing settlements for Jewish Israelis to live in on the ruins of Palestinian cities and villages.

Politician Busted After FBI Finds $62,900 Buried In His Backyard

A Southern California corruption case unraveled in dramatic fashion after federal agents discovered tens of thousands of dollars hidden underground at the home of a longtime local politician, according to the NY Post.

Ricardo Pacheco, a former Baldwin Park councilman, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for taking bribes while in office. Investigators recovered $62,900 buried in his backyard, part of more than $83,000 ultimately seized from him.

Federal prosecutors said Pacheco used his position to help private interests win favorable treatment from the city. Much of the misconduct involved companies seeking approval to operate marijuana businesses in Baldwin Park.

Pacheco also took money from a police officer who was secretly cooperating with the FBI. Authorities said he received $37,900 from the officer and later backed a police association agreement valued at more than $4 million over three years.

The Post writes that another former elected official, ex-Compton Councilman Isaac Galvan, was caught up in the same investigation. Galvan admitted giving Pacheco $70,000 in exchange for assistance with marijuana permits and separately acknowledged failing to report more than $500,000 in income.

Both men received 18-month federal prison sentences. Pacheco was fined $10,000 and ordered to surrender nearly $220,000, while Galvan was ordered to pay more than $323,000 in restitution.

After pleading guilty and leaving office, Pacheco began cooperating with federal investigators and helped build cases against several other people tied to local government and the marijuana business.

I basically just use it to draw on occasion, or as a fancy thesaurus for concepts rather than specific words, or look for confirmation of quotes from people and whatnot. Haven't used it for any data sifting or anything like that, yet.
