Hundreds of abandoned chickens in Brooklyn were headed for an “excruciatingly cruel” death believed to be tied to an Orthodox Jewish holiday ritual when they were found by animal rights activists, cops and advocates said.

The first group of 200 birds – just 80 of them were still alive – were discovered in crates Friday in an abandoned U-Haul on Winthrop Avenue between East 45th Street and Troy Avenue around 5 p.m.

Soon after, more chickens were found in a second unattended U-Haul about a mile and a half away at 910 St. Johns Place, activists and cops said.

“This bothers me because it’s so excruciatingly cruel and I cannot believe it’s still being done in this day and age,” said Rina Deych, founder of the Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos.

“These chickens are squashed into crates, 10 to 18 in a crate and stacked 10 to 12 crates high. They’re left there for days and many of them die.”

Police said they are investigating the gruesome findings.

Only a small number of Orthodox Jews perform Kaporos, the pre-Yom Kippur ritual that entails a person waving the chicken – usually a chick – above their head by the wings, Deych, who is Jewish, said.

““The slaughterer then turns the chicken upside down and slices its throat. These are baby chickens.”

Jews who participate in the ritual believe it symbolically transfers their sins to the chicken, according to Deych, who has been fighting to stop the practice for years.

John Di Leonardo, president of the Humane Long Island Anthrozoologist & Wildlife Rehabilitator, claimed the ritual wasn’t even religious.

“People know about Santeria, they know about Voodoo, but they don’t know about this much larger sacrifice happening in their backyard,” he said.

The Trump Administration continued to block White House access to CNN, Politico and MSNOW despite a judge’s Temporary Restraining Order.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Kelly ordered the Trump administration to restore White House access for journalists from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico, ruling that President Donald Trump’s ban on the outlets was likely unconstitutional.

Kelly, a Trump appointee, issued a Temporary Restraining Order in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The outlets only had to post a laughable $1 bond.

The order directs administration officials, excluding President Trump personally, and those acting with them, to return and reinstate the affected passes.

The order covers credentials revoked on or about September 18.

Reporters from POLITICO and MSNOW have revealed that they have not been allowed back into the White House.

In addition to being denied access, they had their press passes seized by the Secret Service.

Laura Barron-Lopez from MSNOW was not exactly pleased afterward.

CNN’s Betsy Klein has also stated that she has not been allowed in.

As The Gateway Pundit reported Friday, President Trump announced the ban on these fake news outlets on Truth Social:

Contrary to Media Claims, U.S. Global Position Is Strongest in Decades

Since President Trump took office in January 2025, the United States has improved its strategic position in the world, despite media framing to the contrary. The United States captured Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro and now controls much of the oil exported from Venezuela. In the Iran conflict, U.S. strikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, curtailed China’s supply of cheap oil, and collapsed the economy on which the Islamic regime depends.

Washington signed a defense agreement with Denmark, achieving crucial U.S. policy objectives without having to buy Greenland. The United States maintained its ban on exporting the most advanced AI chips to China and expanded military cooperation with Australia and the Philippines to counter the People’s Liberation Army.

Most of these achievements cost little or no taxpayer money. Fewer than 20 U.S. soldiers have been killed, and the U.S. mainland has not been attacked.

On September 22, 2026, the United States, Denmark, and Greenland signed an agreement granting the U.S. permanent military access to Greenland while affirming Danish sovereignty. The agreement allows the U.S. to expand Pituffik Space Base, establish additional defense areas, and use Greenland’s airspace and territorial waters.

It also restricts countries outside NATO from establishing a military presence or gaining control over mining and critical infrastructure, protecting Greenland’s rare earth reserves from Chinese influence. The agreement strengthens U.S. missile defense and control of the strategically important GIUK gap without requiring the United Statesto purchase Greenland or make any payment to Denmark or Greenland.

In Venezuela, Delta Force captured Nicolás Maduro at Miraflores Palace on January 3, 2026, during Operation Absolute Resolve. He was flown to the USS Iwo Jima and later transferred to New York. On January 5, he pleaded not guilty in Manhattan federal court to narco-terrorism charges.

Before the raid, more than half of Venezuela’s daily oil exports of 768,000 barrels went to China, much of it at discounted prices. China had also lent Venezuela about $60 billion. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the United States would control oil sales, redirecting barrels from China to the United States. Venezuela’s oil exports now go primarily to the United States and India.

U.S.-controlled oil sales raised more than $13 billion by July 30, with the money held in U.S. Treasury accounts. About $3 billion had been released to Venezuela. Trump said the proceeds “paid for that war many times over.” Oil exports reached 1.2 million barrelsa day, a seven-year high.

Investment has focused on expanding production. On September 2, Chevron announced a $7 billion investment to double its Venezuelan output. The country’s refineries remain below capacity and would require at least $20 billion to restore. JPMorgan projects production could reach 2.5 million barrels a day within a decade, while Goldman Sachs estimates that output of 2 million barrels a day would lower oil prices by about $4 per barrel by 2030.

In Iran, a joint U.S.-Israeli operation killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei early on February 28, 2026, in his leadership compound in central Tehran. About 40 senior officials were killed with him, including armed forces chief of staff Abdolrahim Mousavi, IRGC commander Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, and adviser Ali Shamkhani. Before the war, China bought an estimated 1.4 million barrels of discounted Iranian oil per day. The conflict and U.S. restrictions sharply curtailed those shipments, cutting Chinese refiners off from much of their cheap Iranian crude. The loss of oil revenue and intensified U.S. sanctions helped drive Iran’s foreign trade down 35 percent while inflation reached 66 percent, leaving the regime’s economy in crisis.

Mojtaba Khamenei, Ali Khamenei’s son and successor, was injured on the first day of the war. CNN reported that he suffered a fractured foot and facial lacerations. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said he was “wounded and likely disfigured”, while a source familiar with U.S. intelligence assessments told Reuters that he may have lost a leg. The details remain unclear because Mojtaba has made no public appearance in more than six months. He did not attend his father’s public funeral ceremonies in July, although his three brothers did. He governs through written statements, and Iranian authorities attribute his absence to security concerns.

On China chip policy, Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs, its most advanced chips, remain banned from export to China. On May 13, 2025, the Commerce Department warned that using Huawei Ascend chips could carry legal risks. It also issued guidance against allowing U.S. chips to train Chinese AI models or be diverted to China.

On January 13, 2026, Commerce began reviewing export license applications for the older Nvidia H200 and AMD MI325X chips case by case. On June 1, it clarified that licensing requirements cover all China-headquartered companies, including their overseas subsidiaries.

The United States also strengthened military and economic cooperation with Australia. A Pentagon review completed in December 2025 kept the AUKUS pact in place. In April 2026, the U.S. Navy awarded Electric Boat a $197 million contract, with options worth up to $930 million, to support the transfer of submarines to Australia. U.S. submarines are scheduled to begin rotating through HMAS Stirling, near Perth, in 2027. Australia will receive three used Virginia-class submarines, with the first arriving in 2032.

In October 2025, the two countries signed a critical-minerals framework providing at least $1 billion in joint financing and pledged to restrict Chinese purchases of new mining assets. Australia is also moving to reclaim Darwin Port, where about 2,500 U.S. Marines rotate each year, from Chinese-owned Landbridge. The company has held a 99-year lease since 2015 and filed an arbitration claim against Australia in April 2026.

The United States and the Philippines have been treaty allies since 1951 and have expanded military cooperation since 2025 to deter China. In April 2025, the U.S. deployed NMESIS missiles to the Philippines during the Balikatan exercises. On October 31, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Philippine Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro announced Task Force Philippines to counter Chinese coercion in the South China Sea.

The FY2026 U.S. defense bill authorized $500 million annually in military financing for the Philippines through FY2030, totaling $2.5 billion. The United States has also proposed an ammunition facility at Subic Bay. In August 2026, U.S. defense officials called the Philippines a “model ally.”

The Philippine and Taiwanese coast guards met in December 2025 to discuss intelligence sharing, and Taiwan’s coast guard is planning its first ship visit to the Philippines since 1974. Stronger ties among Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan have reinforced the U.S. position in the region to a level not achieved under any previous president.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) proved once again why he is one of the GOP’s most effective communicators yesterday after burying a self-described anchor baby Democrat congressman who wants to destroy immigration enforcement completely.

As CBS reported, Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.) boasted on Wednesday that she is introducing legislation that will abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and dismantle the Department of Homeland Security.

The funds will be redirected to more social services.

Gill, understandably, was not pleased to hear this. But he took the opportunity to promote his commonsense piece of legislation, which would bring an end to birthright citizenship for the children of illegals once and for all.

Ramierez, whose parents crossed the border illegally from Guatemala while her mom was pregnant with her, responded by mocking Gill on X, him that his bill was “unconstitutional,” and proclaiming “Latina power.”

Gill refused to let that disgusting remark slide and delivered an absolutely epic reply. He first made clear that the only thing that matters is AMERICAN power, not “Latina Power.”

Gill then RIPPED Ramirez’s parents for breaking immigration law and correctly pointed out how ungrateful she was for not appreciating the fact that she is a U.S. citizen thanks to a legal loophole.

“I believe in American Power— which means being able to control who comes into our country and that the golden ticket of citizenship should belong to Americans first and Americans only,” Gill wrote on X.

“Your parents were illegal aliens who showed no regard for our nation or its laws when they came here,” he wrote. “You should be beyond grateful that a legal loophole allowed you to enjoy the fruits of a first-world nation.”

“Instead, you’re working to end immigration enforcement– telling actual Americans that their birthright doesn’t belong to them and that our nation and its culture have no meaning or value to you,” he continued.

“You have no love or appreciation for America because, at the end of the day, you still proudly consider yourself a Guatemalan before you are a citizen of America.”

Our country would be in far better shape if we had more members of Congress like Gill.

Evidence That the `Dark Comet’ 1998 KY26 Might Be the Failed Soviet Spacecraft Phobos 1

The first recognized interstellar object 1I/`Oumuamua showed non-gravitational acceleration away from the Sun which scaled inversely with heliocentric distance squared (as inferred here).

It also had a disk-like shape based on the periodic reflection of sunlight from its surface (as deduced here). This led me to propose that it may be a technologically-produced object, pushed by sunlight (as discussed here).

Three years after the discovery of 1I/`Oumuamua, its discovery telescope Pan-STARRS in Hawaii detected another object, labeled 2020-SO, which was definitely pushed by reflecting sunlight.

This one was later identified as the upper stage of the Surveyor 2 mission to the Moon, launched by NASA in 1966 (as reviewed here). In view of 2020-SO, my proposed interpretation of 1I/`Oumuamua appears completely reasonable.

It appeared as a reasonable conjecture for me and my 160,615 followers here, but it was regarded as a heretic point of view by comet experts.

Comet experts insist that 1I/`Oumuamua is a dark comet, namely an iceberg whose invisible outgassing pushes it like a rocket.

The only problem with their interpretation is that no gas or dust was detected around 1I/`Oumuamua, even after deep observations by the Spitzer Space Telescope (as concluded here).

This case is a remarkable display of how dogmatic scientists prefer to promote a speculative conjecture that violates some observational data while bluntly dismissing an alternative interpretation that is consistent with all available data.

The comet experts explain the anomalies of 1I/Oumuamua by appealing to invisible constituents. Of course, the great attraction of their standpoint is that it denies evidence for the possible existence of an alien space agency that may have manufactured 1I/Oumuamua similarly NASA’s production of 2020-SO.

To substantiate their assertion, the same comet experts published a recent paper in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (accessible here) that lists dark comets which are gravitationally bound to the Solar System.

Most of these objects show a non-gravitational acceleration that is many orders of magnitude smaller than that of 1I/`Oumuamua. Obviously, very weak accelerations require very low levels of outgassing, making them too rarefied and faint to be detected through the scattering of sunlight. Nevertheless, even this list of dark comets may include spacecraft.

Democrat Mary Peltola Accused of Abusive Behavior, Vulgar Outbursts in Blockbuster Story

Alaska Democrat Senate candidate Mary Peltola was the subject of a devastating New York Times profile on Wednesday, September 23which described a pattern of angry outbursts, physical abuse, and slurs for years while serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Peltola is now running against Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan in November in a contest polling shows continues to be close.

According to the explosive story, former aides describe “angry and profane outbursts.” In one instance she is said to have shoved an aide according to a former staffer who was present and two others who were told about it at the time.Additionally, four former staff members said they directly heard her use the word “faggot” over the years, even about her own staff members, which her campaign has denied. She also used the word “retarded,” according to former aides and text messages viewed by the newspaper.(sounds like anons)

The report talked to a total of nine former staffers who were granted anonymity.

Her office amassed one of the highest turnover rates in Congress during her term, and she has missed hundreds of votes throughout her time in elected office.

The campaign issued a statement in response to the story, attributing her behavior to personal tragedy. Peltola’s mother and husband died in 2023:

“At the time of their passing, Mary was parenting kids through their own grief, serving full-time in the U.S. House of Representatives thousands of miles from home, and running a competitive re-election campaign — all while shouldering the enormous burden of grief,” said spokesman Harry Child. “Like any person who has gone through multiple personal tragedies in the span of a few months, Mary sometimes struggled to deal with her grief.”

The report states Peltola shoved a male staffer in her office over a missing meeting memo, “causing him to stumble backward, according to a person who was there and two others who heard about the incident soon after, as well as text messages sent at the time.” The unnamed aide departed the office soon after.

In another instance, Peltola wrote, “FUCK THOSE BITCHES” about Planned Parenthood after her vote on a defense bill. “I hope Planned Parenthood knows that if we don’t win it’s more their loss than ours,” she added.

She also wrote in a text referring to a woman serving on the board of a local Planned Parenthood chapter, “I hope she dies of a botched abortion.” The pro-abortion organization has not endorsed her 2026 campaign.

Peltola additionally texted, “Fuck that retard” after a selfie photo was posted by a commercial fisheries executive with the former representative. She has attempted to make local fishing interests a key part of her campaign despite not sponsoring a single bill related to fishing during her one term in Congress.

Low morale has also plagued the campaign, the report said, leading to an effort from Washington Democrats to overhaul the effort, firing two long-time aides and demoting her chief of staff.

Senate Leadership Fund Executive Director Alex Latcham said in a statement on the story, “Mary Peltola’s closest aides describe a routine history of physical violence, explosive anger, and utter disdain for Alaskans, which makes her entirely unfit for the U.S. Senate. Peltola’s deeply offensive and disturbing comments do not represent the Alaska way and she must publicly apologize to her staff and the people of Alaska.”

In a new paper that I co-authored with the brilliant Adam Hibberd and Adam Crowl (posted here), we show that one of these `dark comets’, labeled 1998 KY26, shows characteristics that coincide with the failed Soviet spacecraft Phobos 1, which was launched in July 1988 and suffered a failure two months later due to a faulty computer command.

1998 KY26 was observed by a number of ground-based telescopes, and the results were reported in a 2025 Nature Communication paper (accessible here).

Interestingly, this so-called `dark comet’ was observed to be shiny with a very high reflectance (albedo) of 52% (±8%). Its inferred size of 11 (±2) meters is comparable to that of a spacecraft.

In addition, it exhibits an exceedingly short rotation period of 5.35 minutes which implies a sturdy monolithic object. A rubble pile asteroid would break up under the associated centrifugal force.

The similarity of the orbit of 1998 KY26 to the orbit of the lost Phobos 1 spacecraft suggests that the two objects are the same.

In analogy with 1I/`Oumuamua, the presence of a significant nongravitational acceleration with no detectable shedding of gas or dust, suggests that 1998 KY26 is pushed by solar radiation pressure as expected for the Phobos 1 spacecraft.

Our new paper, posted here, analyzes the photometry and astrometry of 1998 KY26 to substantiate the feasibility of the above association with Phobos 1.

We use a simple three-dimensional model of the Phobos 1 spacecraft to demonstrate compelling agreement with eight light curves of 1998 KY26.

We also show that solar radiation pressure on a cylinder plus solar panels provides matches to the non-gravitational acceleration of 1998 KY26 with significant reductions in residuals (down to 11%) with respect to 260 astrometric and radar measurements.

These results add strong weight to the Phobos 1 hypothesis, and we find no clear contradictory evidence. The spin pole in Ecliptic J2000 coordinates, calculated from photometry based on the Phobos 1 assumption, is (𝜆, 𝛽) = (151, 11) degrees.

The nature of 1998 KY26 is not just an academic question. The Japanese Aerospace eXploration Agency (JAXA) plans to land the spacecraft Hayabusa2 on this object in July 2031.

In its original mission, Hayabusa2 explored the 900-meter-diameter asteroid 162173 Ryugu in 2018, returning asteroid samples to Earth in 2020. With fuel remaining, the spacecraft was sent on an extended mission until 2031, when it is set to encounter 1998 KY26.

This will be the first time a space mission encounters a tiny object on the size scale of 10-meters. Mainstream astronomers hope that this landing will reveal the nature of invisible outgassing from a dark comet.

Our prediction is that instead of an iceberg, Hayabusa 2’s cameras will reveal the label `Made in the U.S.S.R.’

If so, this would be a teaching moment to comet experts. But will these dogmatists admit that they may have gotten it wrong also for `1I/Oumuamua? I am not sure at all. As Max Planck observed: “Science advances one funeral at a time.”

AI is going to help make incredible strides in technology, medicine and a whole lot of other things.

But it’s still limited in so many ways.

It’s a great research tool if you know how to ask the right questions, because it helps you find the information you’re looking for, so much faster.

But every time I research with AI, I have to help educate it because at this time, I have far more knowledge on the subject and AI has a much harder time trying to decipher “motive,” unless you hold its hand through the process.

Here’s an example from this morning.

President Donald Trump shocked the political and media worlds on Thursday when reporters for CNN, MS NOW, and Politico were denied access to the White House again despite a judge’s order.

Judge Timothy Kelly, whom Trump nominated to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in 2017, blocked the president’s ban of the outlets in a Wednesday evening ruling. He orderedthe White House to restore access to the outlets, though that did not happen on Thursday morning.

All three news outlets reported that their credentials were not restored and they were still barred from the White House grounds, a repeat experience after the outlets reported the same happened on Saturday.

The journalists were turned away on Thursday just as Trump was getting ready to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping to the White House.

CNN, MS NOW, and Politico petitioned for an emergency hearing over the ongoing ban, which they have said is a “direct assault” on press freedoms. Trump has meanwhile accused the outlets of publishing “fake news” about him.

Critics asked whether we are in a “Constitutional crisis” and others slammed the president for defying the court’s order while they wondered what will happen next in this increasingly tense standoff.

“The WH has generally avoided defying court orders but appears to have done just that this morning,” veteran journalist Brit Hume wrote on X in reaction to the White House committing to its media ban.

“When do we start calling this a Constitutional crisis?” media reporter Edmund Lee asked.

Some also pointed to the irony that the press ban comes amid a visit from the leader of a communist country. CNN’s Kaitlan Collins noted Chinese state media was present on Thursday morning while American journalists were booted.

NASA Selects Far-Infrared Telescope as First in New Mission Class

NASA announced Wednesday a mission to explore the history and evolution of the universe, PRIMA (PRobe far-Infrared Mission for Astrophysics), is advancing to the next phase of development.

This space telescope is the first in a new class of NASA astrophysics missions, called Probe Explorers, within the agency’s longstanding Explorers Program.

“The PRIMA mission is humanity’s next window into the deep universe.

It will unveil the obscure across cosmic time to better understand the formation of planets, stars, black holes, and even how water on Earth came to be,” said Nicky Fox, associate administrator, Science Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters in Washington.

NASA selected PRIMA to move into Phase B, the stage of development that advances the preliminary design and technology development for the mission.

The mission is subject to a confirmation review, based on technical, programmatic, and cost performance, to determine its readiness to begin implementation in Phase C.

If confirmed, PRIMA’s project cost is capped at $1.2 billion, not including launch and other non-project costs. The observatory will be targeted to launch in 2033, for a planned five-year mission.

With a 5.9-foot telescope, PRIMA will conduct deep, sensitive surveys of the universe in far-infrared light, helping bridge the gap between existing infrared observatories, such as NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, and radio telescopes.

By studying radiant energy that only emerges in the far-infrared, PRIMA will address a wide range of questions about the universe. This includes the origins of planets outside our solar system, how galaxies and their black holes have grown and evolved over cosmic history, and how dust and heavy elements have built up in the universe over time – all helping paint a better picture of why the universe looks the way it does today.

“A single mission alone can’t probe all the universe’s mysteries.

But by extending the survey capabilities of our fleet into far-infrared wavelengths with PRIMA, we’re enabling an incredibly comprehensive look at the cosmos,” said Shawn Domagal-Goldman, director, Astrophysics Division, NASA Headquarters.

“With our Webb and Roman space telescopes, we set a cadence of launching premiere-class missions in both halves of the decade.

We’re going to keep that up and kick off the next decade with PRIMA, as part of a pipeline that will consistently have missions of this caliber ready to go.”

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s 2020 Decadal Survey, Pathways to Discovery in Astronomy and Astrophysics for the 2020s, recommended NASA establish this new Probe Explorers mission class.

NASA selected PRIMA for development after detailed evaluation of concept studies for Probe Explorer missions, based on their scientific merit in alignment with the Decadal Survey’s recommendations, feasibility of their development plans on cost and schedule, and use of technologies that could support the development of future large missions.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California will manage the PRIMA mission. Other partners include NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The PRIMA mission also will have contributions from international partners: CNES (Centre National D’Etudes Spatiales), ASI (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana), DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt), CSA (Canadian Space Agency), KASI (Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute), JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), and the UK Space Agency.

The Explorers Program is the oldest continuous NASA program designed to provide frequent, low-cost access to space using principal investigator-led space science investigations relevant to the Science Mission Directorate’s astrophysics and heliophysics programs.

Since the Explorer 1 launch in 1958, which discovered Earth’s radiation belts, the Explorers Program has launched more than 100 missions, including the Uhuru and Cosmic Background Explorer missions that led to Nobel prizes for their investigators.

The Explorers Program is managed by NASA Goddard for the Science Mission Directorate, which conducts a wide variety of research and scientific exploration programs for Earth studies, space weather, the solar system, and the universe.
