Hong Kong Protests Attract Massive Crowds, Estimated 800k March In Financial District

Netanyahu demands US backing of Jordan Valley 'annexation plan' after Washington denies he ever spoke of it with Pompeo

 

The embattled Prime Minister wants Washington to approve of Israel's further expansion into the Jordan Valley, just days after he urged Donald Trump not to miss a rare chance to back Tel Aviv's territorial appetites.

 

Benjamin Netanyahu, who fiercely fights for re-election, believes that "the time has come to extend Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley," a swath of land spanning between the occupied West Bank and neighboring Kingdom of Jordan. On their part, Israel's closest ally should give a final nod to the move.

 

"I want American recognition of our sovereignty in the Jordan Valley. This is important," he bluntly told an event set up on Sunday by Israel's Makor Rishon newspaper. As part of the proposed annexation, all Jewish settlements in the area would become part of Israel, he insisted.

 

Two days ago, Netanyahu claimed he talked the issue with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at their meeting in Lisbon. Interestingly, the State Department quickly disavowed his report, telling journalists that no such discussion had ever taken place.

 

"I can tell you that there was no annexation plan, full or partial, for any part of the West Bank presented by Israel to the United States during the meeting," Assistant Secretary for Near East David Schenker told an official briefing.

 

Netanyahu's response to the comment was next to incomprehensible. "It was said that the issue was not raised [at the Pompeo meeting], the issue was raised," he explained. The Americans, he believes, "didn't say it was not raised, they said that a formal plan was not discussed."

 

Also in the week, the Prime Minister bragged about talking the prospective move with the US President Donald Trump. The two naturally discussed Iran, but their phone call also revolved around "historic opportunities that stand before us in the coming months – among them are [establishing] the Jordan Valley as the recognized eastern border of the State of Israel."

 

Back in September, Netanyahu vowed that he would immediately annex the valley if reelected during Israel's contentious general election. As he failed to score an overwhelming win, the recent outbursts were apparently aimed at winning support from right-wing voters.

Newsweek reporter resigns after accusing outlet of SUPPRESSING story about OPCW leak that undermines Syria ‘gas attack’ narrative

 

A reporter for Newsweek says he has quit his job after his editor allegedly refused to publish an article about an internal email that raises serious questions about the OPCW’s findings on an alleged gas attack in Douma, Syria.

 

“Yesterday I resigned from Newsweek after my attempts to publish newsworthy revelations about the leaked OPCW letter were refused for no valid reason,” Tareq Haddad tweeted out on Saturday.

 

The recently-leaked document contradicts key conclusions in a report by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), about the April 2018 chemical weapons attack in Douma. The incident was blamed on Damascus and was used by the US and its allies to justify airstrikes against Syrian military installations.

 

The email, sent by an OPCW inspector who participated in the Douma probe, outlines several instances in which facts discovered by his team had been distorted or suppressed in the OPCW’s draft report, resulting in “an unintended bias” in the resulting text.

 

In a series of follow-up tweets, the former Newsweek journalist said that he had “collected evidence of how they suppressed the story,” adding that he also had evidence that the outlet had cut material, in a separate incident, because the information was “inconvenient to the US government” – even though it was factually correct.

 

While media outlets rushed last year to blame Damascus for the attack, the leaked email – as well as some troubling revelations from an OPCW whistleblower – have been almost completely ignored by the western press.

The official who spoke Saturday said one of the three students who attended the dinner party hosted by the attacker recorded video outside the classroom building while the shooting was taking place. Two other Saudi students watched from a car, the official said.

 

Ten Saudi students were being held on the base Saturday while several others were unaccounted for, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity after being briefed by federal authorities.

 

As TheBlaze previously reported, only six Saudi nationals were being held as of Friday night. Officials have not said if the individuals are connected to Friday's tragedy.

School Cop Gets 10 Years in Prison for Violently Raping 12yo Girl, Filming It

 

Deer Park, TX — Last year, TFTP reported that another Texas school cop had been arrested and charged with rape. Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District police officer Jorge Luis Bastida, 22, was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl he stalked online. This week, unlike so many cops who get away with similar crimes, Bastida was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

“He swore an oath to protect children,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said this week. “He promised to protect and serve one of our most vulnerable populations and instead, he exploited and violated a young girl. He stole her childhood.”

 

Prosecutors said Bastida met the young girl on a smartphone app called “Meet Me” where she reportedly sent the police officer nude photos. After a few days of online flirting, the police officer sent an Uber to pick up the girl on Monday night before he brought her to a nearby hotel where the girl says the officer raped her.

 

The girl says Bastida held her down and raped her despite her pleas for the police officer to stop. She says she told him she was only 12 but he continued. The two spent the night in the Guest House Hotel and checked out on a Tuesday morning.

 

The Fairmont Junior High School student was reported missing by her family Monday night. Lt. Chris Brown of the Deer Park Police Department described the missing persons investigation:

 

We started going through her social media accounts and discovered she was communicating with an unknown male who had arranged to have her picked up from her residence and taken to an unknown location.

 

Police say they discovered the MeetMe app on her school issued iPad although school officials disputed the contention arguing the iPads are incapable of being used for such social media apps. Brown said what they uncovered led police to believe she was in “extreme danger”. He told reporters:

 

The conversations were similar to those we’ve seen in the past of pedophiles who try to lure children out of the house.

 

According to Chron, prosecutors are confident Bastida is their perpetrator and that the officer violently raped her, while filming the entire attack with his phone.

 

The girl told police that Bastida held her down by the neck and raped her, according to police records. She told him to stop, telling him she was only 12 years old, but he assaulted her again, the prosecutor said. The girl said that he filmed the entire incident on his cell phone.

Multiple Cops Arrested in Kentucky For Running a Steroid Ring

 

Louisville, KY — As the Free Thought Project reports on a regular basis, cops across the country are often caught committing the same crimes for which they routinely kidnap and cage people. From stealing from charities to selling drugs they steal from their jobs as cops, many police officers have proven to be as bad or worse than than the criminals from which they claim to protect society. The following instance out of Kentucky of a cop running a steroid ring highlights this hypocrisy quite well.

 

Below is a post from Scott County deputy Joe Baker from earlier this year in which he is bragging about kidnapping and caging people for possessing cannabis.

 

He also arrested his own sister for drugs two years ago.

 

What makes these arrests particularly hypocritical is the fact that deputy Baker, himself, was just arrested last week on similar charges. Earlier this year, Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin asked Indiana State Police to investigate after receiving a tip that Deputy Joe Baker and Reserve Officer Phil Thomas were involved in dealing illegal steroids.

 

“He immediately stepped into action and contacted us,” ISP Sgt. Carey Huls said. “We worked side by side to make sure everything was above board and done properly. And that was one reason Sheriff Goodin contacted our department. He didn’t want anybody thinking they were hiding any information or covering anything up in their department.”

 

The investigation would find out that Baker and Thomas were, in fact, not only using illegal steroids, but running an operation and conspiracy to sell them.

 

“Officer Baker was a school resource officer,” Goodin said. “He had been assigned to one of the schools here in the community, and I wanted it done before school opened back up on Monday.”

 

According to WDRB, Baker, 39, is now charged with three felonies, including conspiracy to deal steroids, official misconduct and possession of a hypodermic needle. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.

 

In a Facebook post this week, Baker apologized to the community “with humility and shame running down my face” for the crimes he committed. While everyone deserves to be forgiven for their mistakes, the hypocrisy of taking people’s freedom for similar acts, while committing those same acts, speaks volumes. Nevertheless, the community has rallied around this cop — who betrayed his oath to the constitution and the community he served. People all over Facebook and the media appear to be bending over backward to show their support for this officer.

Macron’s France Rocked by Fourth Day of Transport Strikes over Pensions

 

PARIS (AP) – France’s prime minister is holding special meetings Sunday about the government’s divisive redesign of the national retirement system, amid warnings that strike-related transport troubles will get even worse in the coming days.

 

Travel tangles continued Sunday as the strikes entered their fourth day, with most French trains at a standstill. Fourteen of Paris’ subway lines were closed, with only two lines – using automated trains with no drivers – functioning. International routes also suffered disruptions.

 

Monday will be a bigger test of the strike movement’s strength, and of travellers’ patience. Unions are calling for even more people to walk off the job Monday, when commuters go back to work. Many people worked from home or took a day off when the strike began last week, but that’s not sustainable if the strikes drag on.

 

Warning of safety risks, the SNCF national train network and Paris transit authority RATP warned travellers to stay away Monday instead of packing platforms for the few functioning trains. “On December 9, stay home or find another means of locomotion,” SNCF said in a message to travellers.

 

Looking ahead to a challenging week, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe is holding meetings Sunday afternoon and evening with government ministers involved in the reform – and with President Emmanuel Macron, according to government officials.

 

Macron, a centrist former investment banker, argues that the retirement overhaul will make a convoluted, out-dated system more fair and financially sustainable. Unions however see the reform as an attack on fundamental worker rights, and fear people will have to work longer for smaller pensions.

 

The government says it won’t change the official retirement age of 62, but the plan is expected to include financial conditions to encourage people to work longer, as life spans lengthen.

 

New nationwide protests are scheduled Tuesday, and the prime minister is scheduled to release details of the plan Wednesday.

 

Yellow vest activists joined in the anger Saturday, as they added the retirement reform to their list of economic grievances in protests around the country. Police fired tear gas on rowdy protesters at largely peaceful marches through Paris and the western city of Nantes

Trump Science Advisor Happer Says President Understands Climate Change Is ‘Mostly Hype’

Would it help if California went 100 per cent “zero carbon”, as green activists are demanding?

 

I think it would be very helpful. It would be bad for the poor citizens of [California] but it would be good for the rest of the world. One of the advantages we have in the United States over other countries is that we have states, and so a state can try out something which might be a good idea or which might be a terrible idea without affecting the entire country. So we should take advantage of this. Let California do everything that the Greens demand them to do. Let’s see what will happen. I know what will happen…

Iran presidnet unveils draft 'budget of resistance' to counter sanctions

 

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has submitted a draft state budget to the parliament, saying it has the least possible dependence on oil and is meant to resist and counter US sanctions.

 

He gave the value of the draft budget at about 4,845 trillion rials ($38.8 billion at the free market rate) for the next Iranian year which starts on March 20, 2020.

 

"Next year, similar to the current year, our budget is a budget of resistance and perseverance against sanctions," he told the parliament in Tehran on Sunday.

 

"This budget announces to the world that despite sanctions, we will manage the country, especially in terms of oil," he added.

 

The budget, he said, has taken the US "maximum pressure" campaign against the Islamic Republic into account. “This is a budget to resist sanctions … with the least possible dependence on oil.”

 

The president stressed that the enemies have failed in their plot to wreck Iran’s economy and that the government has taken big steps toward prosperity and progress.

 

"Our enemies - the US and the Zionist regime - thought that with severe sanctions they would make the nation unable to build the country and the government impotent to enforce the law and budget, but they have been disappointed to this day and will continue to be so."

 

The new budget includes a 15 percent raise in the wages of government employees.

 

President Rouhani submitted the new budget after deciding last month to raise gasoline prices by 50 percent.

 

The president expressed hope Sunday that the measure would help Iran's nascent self-sufficiency in gasoline continue.

 

By March, he said, gasoline production in Iran will reach 110 million liters per day, twice the volume the country produced six years ago when his administration took office.

 

Iran has been smarting under the most draconian American sanctions which aim to bring the country's oil exports down to zero.

It wasn’t all that long ago that the public was made aware of the huge privacy concerns with sharing your DNA with consumer genetic testing companies to find out your origins. One such concern was the ability of the federal government and law enforcement agencies to gain access to your DNA. As the public has become more aware of such privacy concerns, it seems strange that on Friday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced a new partnership with the United States Postal Service where customers like you can voluntarily provide them with their fingerprints while you’re at the post office.

 

Isn’t that nice and convenient? The government is making it that much easier for you to give them your fingerprints! Gotta buy some stamps or mail a package, why not help the government build up a national database of fingerprints. That sounds great for your privacy.

For a fee, the FBI can provide individuals with an Identity History Summary—often referred to as a criminal history record or a “rap sheet”—listing certain information taken from fingerprint submissions kept by the FBI and related to arrests and, in some instances, federal employment, naturalization, or military service.

 

If the fingerprint submissions are related to an arrest, the Identity History Summary includes the name of the agency that submitted the fingerprints to the FBI, the date of the arrest, the arrest charge, and the disposition of the arrest, if known. All arrest information included in an Identity History Summary is obtained from fingerprint submissions, disposition reports, and other information submitted by authorized criminal justice agencies.

 

The U.S. Department of Justice Order 556-73, also known as Departmental Order, establishes rules and regulations for you to obtain a copy of your Identity History Summary for review or proof that one does not exist.

 

USDOJ Order 556-73 was first published in the Federal Register in 1973.

 

According to the FBI website, “Only you may request a copy of your own Identity History Summary (or proof that one does not exist). You would typically make this request for personal review, to challenge information on record, to meet a requirement for adopting a child, or to meet a requirement to live, work, or travel in a foreign country.”

 

Of course, there are plenty of ways to obtain a criminal background check without providing the federal government your fingerprint. Most of the information is a part of the public record. If you’ve forgotten that you’ve been arrested in the past and want to check, you can start with local records before you give Big Brother your fingerprints. There are also some websites that can pull up records for a fee as well, without giving up your fingerprints.

PG&E Update: After California Wildfires, Bankrupted Utility Company Reaches $13.5 Billion Settlement With Victims

 

Utility company Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) said Friday that it had reached a $13.5 billion deal to settle victims' claims from the wildfires that ravaged multiple areas of California from 2017 and 2018, as well as the 2015 Butte fire. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January claiming that it had potential liabilities of $30 billion stemming from these wildfires.

 

“From the beginning of the Chapter 11 process, getting wildfire victims fairly compensated, especially the individuals, has been our primary goal. We want to help our customers, our neighbors and our friends in those impacted areas recover and rebuild after these tragic wildfires,” President and CEO of PG&E Corporation Bill Johnson said.

 

The money in the deal would go to the wildfire victims and to the government agencies and attorneys who worked on the claims.

 

The 2015 Butte Fire in Amador County, Calfornia, killed two people, while the 2017 Northern California wildfires killed 44 people and destroyed 8,900 buildings. The 2018 wildfire season was the worst that California has ever seen, leaving 103 people dead and 22,751 buildings destroyed.

 

State fire investigators have tied PG&E transmission lines to the Camp Fire in California in 2018, which killed 85 people in the vicinity of the town of Paradise. They also believed that power lines from the company caused some fires north of San Francisco Bay in 2017.

 

California wildfires in 2019 have killed five people. The Kincade Fire in Sonoma County was the largest of the 2019 season, lasting from Oct. 23 to Nov. 6.

FBI Treats Florida Naval Base Shooting as Act of Terrorism

 

A Saudi Air Force aviation student opened fire in a classroom at the base on 6 December, killing three US sailors and wounding two sheriff’s deputies before he was shot dead in an exchange of fire.

 

The FBI stated that it is investigating the fatal shooting at the naval base in Florida "with the presumption that this was an act of terrorism".

 

"We are, as we do in most active shooter investigations, work[ing] with the presumption that this was an act of terrorism", Rachel Rojas, who is in charge of the Jacksonville Field Office, told a press conference.

 

A special agent with the FBI stated that the shooter used a Glock 45 9mm that he purchased legally in the attack that killed three people and wounded eight.

 

In the meantime, US National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien also suggested that the shooting at the Pensacola naval base could be an act of terrorism.

 

"To me it appears to be a terrorist attack. I do not want to prejudge the investigation, but it appears that this may be someone that was radicalized, whether it was here or it's unclear if he's got any other ties to other organisations", he told CBS.

 

O’Brien said he did not know if this was "part of a broader plot", but stressed that "it looks like terrorism". The FBI has been interviewing other Saudi students at the base and it is up to them to determine what the shooter’s motivations were, the senior official added.

 

On 6 December, the Saudi national, identified by US media as Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, a cadet in a US Navy flight training programme, opened fire at Naval Air Station Pensacola, killing three people and injuring another eight before being gunned down by police officers.

 

The incident follows Wednesday’s shooting at another US naval facility in Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, where a gunman killed two civilian workers and wounded a third before shooting himself dead.

As Winter Comes Pipeline Wars Heat Up

 

For all of 2019 December has been a magnet. A number of major geopolitical issues come to head this month and many of them have everything to do with energy. This is the month that Russian gas giant Gazprom was due to finish production on three major pipeline projects – Nordstream 2, Turkstream and Power of Siberia.

 

Power of Siberia is here. It’s finished. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping christened the pipeline to begin the month. Next month Putin will travel to Turkey to join President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to open the first of four potential trains of the Turkstream pipeline.

 

It is only Nordstream 2 that continues to lag behind because of insane levels of pressure from the United States that is dead set against this pipeline coming online.

 

And the reason for that is the last of the major energy issues surrounding Gazprom needing resolution this month, the gas transit contract between it and Ukraine’s Naftogaz.

 

The two gas companies have been locked in legal disputes for years, some of which center on Crimea’s decision to break away from Ukraine and rejoin Russia in 2014. Most of them, however, involve disputes over costs incurred during the previous and expiring gas transit contract.

 

The particulars today are ultimately irrelevant as these lawsuits have been used as nothing more than blackmail to keep a new contract from getting signed. Ukraine has sued Gazprom in courts, like in Sweden, that rule not by the tenets of contract law but rather through the lens of social justice.

 

These have been political decisions that allowed Naftogaz to seize Gazprom’s European assets, further complicating any resolution to the conflict. These policies were pursued aggressively by former Ukrainian President and long-time US State Department asset Petro Poroshenko and they have done nothing to help Ukraine.

 

All they have done is strip-mine the country of its assets while keeping a war to prevent the secession of the Donbass alive.

 

This dovetails with the external pressure applied to EU member states, like Denmark, to delay if not outright thwart completion of Nordstream 2.

 

Opposition to Nordstream 2 in the US is all about leveraging influence in Ukraine and turn it into a client state hostile to Russia sharing a border with Russia. If there’s no gas transit contract and there’s no Nordstream 2 then US LNG suppliers can sell gas there and deprive Russia of the revenues and the business.

Prominent Ukrainian neo-Nazi figures have been spotted in the Hong Kong protests just weeks after hosting an “academy of street protest” in Kiev.

 

Leaders of far-right Ukrainian groups that rose to prominence in the 2014 coup d’etat they helped orchestrate, including the Azov Battalion and Right Sektor, have recently traveled to Hong Kong to participate in the anti-Beijing protests there. It’s unclear why the groups, sporting the apparel of a far-right hooligan group called “Honor” or “Gonor,” have gone to Hong Kong, but the fact that both the 2014 Ukrainian coup and the present protests in Hong Kong have enjoyed extensive support from the CIA-spawned National Endowment for Democracy may give a clue.

 

“Hong Kong welcomed us as relatives,” Serhii Filimonov wrote on Facebook Saturday, sharing a video of himself and other Ukrainian far-right figures in the semi-autonomous Chinese city. Filimonov once headed the Kiev branch of the Azov Civilian Corps, a support group for the ultra-nationalist Azov Battalion that’s thinly veiled as a civilian NGO.

 

Several of the men wear paraphernalia of the far-right “Honor” or “Gonor” so-called youth group founded by Filimonov in 2015, sporting a stylized version of the “trident,” a symbol with ancient meaning in Ukraine adopted by ultra-nationalists, as three daggers. Several also have neo-Nazi tattoos, such as swastikas.

 

​The men also posed in front of the wrecked Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where an intense two-week showdown between police and protesters saw more than 1,000 students detained and thousands of weapons seized, including petrol bombs and explosives.

 

It’s not clear exactly what these “simple activists” were doing in Hong Kong. However, it’s worth noting the extensive groundwork laid for both the 2014 uprising in Ukraine and the 2019 protests in Hong Kong via the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

 

In the three years before the 2014 coup, the CIA-backed NED sunk $14 million into regime change efforts in Ukraine, and the NED has been cultivating anti-Beijing attitudes in Hong Kong since the mid-1990s, before the territory was returned to Chinese rule by the British Empire.

This is random, and probably nothing we didn't already know, but seems those "big budget blockbuster" movies we've been reading about perpetually all our lives are just bookkeeping tools for bribes and corruption.

 

Background: Started watching the movie "Sahara" today over coffee. Am in the habit of checking IMDB for movie trivia when watching movies, and this little nugget jumped off the screen:

 

"In 2007, the film's full, 151-page line-item budget, entered as evidence in the lawsuits and supposedly confidential, was leaked to the Los Angeles Times. This rare look into the detailed finances of a film, especially a notoriously expensive bomb, showed the production benefiting from cheap Moroccan labour and European tax credits on one hand, but wasting the money on a plane crash that was cut and paying Penélope Cruz's hairstylist and dialect coach over a quarter of a million dollars. More seriously though, it even included expenses for what were explicitly labelled as bribes to Moroccan officials, some of which may have violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act…

 

For years, the author of the novel on which this film is based, Clive Cussler wanted Salma Hayek to play Eva Rojas. However, the film's producers chose Penélope Cruz for the role, a decision which was primarily made for monetary reasons. Previous reports have all followed the same lifespan progression. First there was a mix like we have today (it'll blow it all up, or, it's nothing). When it was finally released, the "it's nothing" camp ramped up hard within MSM and piled on for a day. The next day after some analysis had been done, there were a few very damning bits found. Two days later the magnitude of the reports started to grow in intensity. All the while MSM was digging deeper to find more "meaningless" points that they tout loudly.

 

In this case, at the 2 day mark Horowitz will testify in the Senate before Graham and others. With all that we know, it seems to be a 75% chance this time will be much different.

 

The key point here is that this report has had zero leaks. None. Much like impeachment, if you read deeply enough into the articles today, you'll find the disclaimer that no one has actually seen the report. They've all just heard from a friend who heard from a friend that it's damaging - or that it means nothing - depending on the media's slant.

"See You After Jail Guys": Art World Stunned After Man Eats $120,000 Banana Duct Taped To Wall

 

On Friday, we reported on the latest bizarre milestone in the "art" world, when a banana duct-taped to a wall sold for $120,000 at that excess-liquidity conclave of ultra rich and other wannabe poseurs known Art Basel Miami Beach. Worse, a second banana duct-taped to a wall also sold for $120,000. Yet even worse than that, a third banana duct-taped to a wall is expected to sell for $150,000 and so on.

 

Then on Saturday, at around 1:45pm, the art world was shocked when a random man, allegedly a performance artist, ate said duct-taped banana that sold earlier this week for $120,000.

 

New York-based performance artist David Datuna ate the banana early on Saturday afternoon in front of a stunned convention full of "art" lovers most of whom had no idea whether they were witnessing even more "art", of just some clueless rando eating the world's most discussed "art" exhibit, the gallery told the Miami Herald.

 

Perrotin Gallery spokesman Lucien Terras told the Herald that Datuna did not "destroy" the artwork because "the banana is the idea", or as Magritte would say "Ceci n'est pas une banane."

 

The controversial piece, called "The Comedian," was created by Maurizio Cattelan, an Italian artist who had also entertained art lovers from around the globe in 2017 with his "America" 18-carat-gold toilet. The $6-million throne was stolen from England's Blenheim Palace over the summer according to CBS.

 

Emmanuel Perrotin, the gallery founder, told CBS News that Maurizio's work is not just about objects, but about how objects move through the world.

 

"Whether affixed to the wall of an art fair booth or displayed on the cover of the New York Post, his work forces us to question how value is placed on material goods," he said, although he could have also added "or eaten."

 

He added that "the spectacle is as much a part of the work as the banana."

 

Perrotin was about to head to the airport when he heard about the banana being eaten and rushed back, according to the Herald. An attendee tried to cheer him up by handing him a banana. A borrowed replacement banana was eventually re-adhered to the wall, because "art."

 

Whereas the "art" world was briefly outraged after the 120,000 rotting banana was calmly eaten, unaware that they themselves were the joke, normals argued this piece is a perfect representation of what the art world has become with its gaping wealth inequalities and where idiotic "art" such as a banana duct taped to a wall sells for $120,000. Others, however, chose not to go as deep and appreciate the simplicity of the art piece. Yet others blamed the Fed for flooding the world with so much money that a banana duct taped to a wall was actually bought by someone for $120,000.

 

The artist first came up with the idea a year ago. He "was thinking of a sculpture that was shaped like a banana," according to a press statement from Perrotin.

 

"Every time he traveled, he brought a banana with him and hung it in his hotel room to find inspiration. He made several models: first in resin, then in bronze and in painted bronze (before) finally coming back to the initial idea of a real banana."

 

The artist reported no clear instructions for buyers on whether the bananas start to decompose.

 

As for Datuna, who calmly ate the banana in front of a room full of shocked "art" fans before he was confronted by an art gallery worker, his parting words were "see you after jail, guys."

ICMEC has trained law enforcement personnel from 121 countries, works with law enforcement in over 100 countries, and has worked with legislatures in 100 countries to adopt new laws combating child pornography. ICMEC also encourages the creation of national operational centers built on a public-private partnership model, and leads global financial and industry coalitions to eradicate child sexual exploitation and child pornography. The Koons Family Institute on International Law and Policy is the International Centre's research arm. In August 2008, ICMEC was granted "Special Consultative Status" by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), to assist the UN with its expertise regarding child sexual exploitation and child abduction.[29] ICMEC also works with the intergovernmental organization INTERPOL, the inter-continental organization the Organization of American States (the OAS), and the Hague Conference on Private International Law.[30]

My guess is that they didn't have enough information to effectively act on it. They probably knew something was going to happen on those days, but not exactly what, where, or by who. Hard to stop a specific murder if all you have to work with is that someone dies somehow at some point during that day..

Their parts, yes. The specific part that they were involved in - with redactions were others are involved significantly and overlap with them.
