Borrell lamented that Brussels’ β€œsoft power,” obtained largely through the bloc’s economic strength, has withered – partly as a result of US President Donald Trump’s β€˜America First’ policies, which have often been at odds with Europe on trade issues.

 

The foreign policy chief said EU states must either get in line or get out of the way when it comes to foreign policy, stating that β€œWhen there is no unanimity [in the bloc], the remaining majority have to act.”

 

The bloc has remained indecisive on a number of key foreign policy issues, including Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, as well as Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital – positions that Brussels has protested but done little to counter.

Shit storm is brewing for Pete Buttigieg's campaign. Quick run down: there's an account that claims to be from Nigeria that has grown popular and claims to be a big Pete supporter. Then today, Pete's communication advisor forgets to sign out of her own twitter account and posts from the "Nigerian" account. It was all a stunt from Pete's campaign to make it look like he's popular with black people.

 

To make matters worse, Pete's campaign then goes to Buzzfeed and has a reporter write up a story about it all being a crazy conspiracy theory. The reporter "verified" the identity by emailing the "Nigerian", who then promised he wasn't Pete's communications coordinator.

Government Officials Seize Veteran’s Guns in Mistaken Identification In Red Flag Law Execution

 

Since the crazed Constitutional rights prohibitionists can’t get the federal government to pass any of their absurd gun control laws, they have turned to a state-by-state effort to methodically do away with the 2nd Amendment.

 

One of the many laws they are pushing are so-called β€œred flag” laws where someone can petition the courts to have someone’s guns taken away without any due process by claiming the person is a danger to themselves or others. And the person being served with the court order doesn’t even know it until the cops are at the door. Then the person has to spend their own money and time to fight it, and has to prove their innocence before the court in order to get their rights back.

 

The crazed prohibitionists try to claim there is due process and that these laws will save lives, while they mock anyone who dares to bring up dystopian scenarios where people are wrongly accused. Except what happens when the wrongly accused are actually served with these orders in real life?

 

It happened to Jon Carpenter, in St. Cloud, Florida. He happened to have the same name as a homeless drug addict who was threatening an elderly woman with a gun. A red flag was ordered on the violent Jon Carpenter, and as officials were searching for an address and other information on him, they got him mixed up with peaceful Jon Carpenter.

 

The good guy Carpenter is Marine veteran and sport fisherman, and he does own guns and has a valid CCW permit. That was until Sheriff’s deputies knocked on his door to take his CCW and guns. This Carpenter doesn’t even match the description of the transient Carpenter.

 

Fox 13 Tampa reports:

 

Jon is a veteran, sports fisherman, and law-abiding gun owner from St. Cloud, who just happens to have the same name as a drifter who threatened an elderly couple.

 

β€œHe’s 110 pounds. I’m 200. He has brown eyes. I have hazel. He has black hair. I have no hair,” Jon said, comparing himself to the other Jon Carpenter, who became the target of a risk protection order to remove any weapons he may possess.

 

But the veteran, fisherman, 200-pound Jon Carpenter was sent a certified letter from the state, suspending his firearms license.

 

β€œI was just dumbfounded. I didn’t know what to do. I called the state and they basically said, β€˜There’s an injunction against you,’” Carpenter explained.

 

He also received a notice that he had been reported to DCF for elder abuse and a state order to surrender any firearms.

 

β€œThe state basically said, If it’s not you, go to the courthouse. They’ll give you a letter and they’ll get you reinstated,” said Carpenter.

 

But that’s not how it played out.

 

β€œThen, he finally comes out, and he’s like you basically have to go to court on the 27th, in two weeks. So I said, β€˜I’m guilty until I prove myself innocent? That’s why I’m here, trying to show its not me.’ And he’s like, β€˜Since youβ€˜re here, you’ve been served. Here’s your restraining order,’” Carpenter recalled.

 

He finally connected with someone in the sheriff’s office, who helped him get the injunction dismissed and called the state to get his firearms license reinstated.

 

β€œThey said they process it in the order it was received and it takes 6-8 weeks. I was like, β€˜So you can suspend it in one day, instantly, but for somebody else’s mistake, I’ve got to wait 6-8 weeks?’”

 

After months of defending himself and fighting the phony order, the good-guy Jon Carpenter eventually got his rights back. But he had to prove his own innocence in the face of assumed guilt.

The activists said that the attack targeted a high-level meeting inside the base, claiming the lives of several Generals of the Russian Armed Forces.

 

These claims were quickly refuted by pro-government sources and even respectful opposition sources with locals not reporting any incident what so ever inside the Russian base or around it even.

 

Despite the exposure of their lies, opposition activists went on to name the Russian Generals who were β€œkilled” in the imaginary attack as following:

Gen. Aleksei Brusilov

Gen. Armen Garo

Gen. AgustΓ­n de Betancourt

 

The activists didn’t apparently put much effort into naming the generals. Alexander Samsonov was indeed a general. However, in the Imperial Russian Army during the late 19th century. Aleksei Brusilov was also a Russian General, but he died more than 103 years ago.

 

As for Armen Garo, he is an Arminian politician from the early 20th century. On the other hand, AgustΓ­n de Betancourt was a prominent Spanish engineer, who died in 1824, way before the establishment of Hmeimim Air Base.

It does however devote $66 million to a 150-prisoner jail, with campus, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state for troops and airmen accused of crimes.

George Washington becomes a Master Mason

 

George Washington, a young Virginia planter, becomes a Master Mason, the highest basic rank in the secret fraternity of Freemasonry. The ceremony was held at the Masonic Lodge No. 4 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Washington was 21 years old and would soon command his first military operation as a major in the Virginia colonial militia.

 

Freemasonry evolved from the practices and rituals of the stonemasons’ guilds in the Middle Ages. With the decline of European cathedral building, β€œlodges” decided to admit non-stonemasons to maintain membership, and the secret fraternal order grew in popularity in Europe. In 1717, the first Grand Lodge, an association of lodges, was founded in England, and Freemasonry was soon disseminated throughout the British Empire. The first American Mason lodge was established in Philadelphia in 1730, and future revolutionary leader Benjamin Franklin was a founding member.

 

There is no central Masonic authority, and Freemasons are governed locally by the order’s many customs and rites. Members trace the origins of Masonry back to the erecting of King Solomon’s Temple in biblical times and are expected to believe in the β€œSupreme Being,” follow specific religious rites, and maintain a vow of secrecy concerning the order’s ceremonies. The Masons of the 18th century adhered to liberal democratic principles that included religious toleration, loyalty to local government, and the importance of charity. From its inception, Freemasonry encountered considerable opposition from organized religion, especially from the Roman Catholic Church.

 

For George Washington, joining the Masons was a rite of passage and an expression of his civic responsibility. After becoming a Master Mason, Washington had the option of passing through a series of additional rites that would take him to higher β€œdegrees.” In 1788, shortly before becoming the first president of the United States, Washington was elected the first Worshipful Master of Alexandria Lodge No. 22.

 

Many other leaders of the American Revolution, including Paul Revere, John Hancock, the Marquis de Lafayette, and the Boston Tea Party saboteurs, were also Freemasons, and Masonic rites were witnessed at such events as Washington’s presidential inauguration and the laying of the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C.–a city supposedly designed with Masonic symbols in mind. Masonic symbols, approved by Washington in the design of the Great Seal of the United States, can be seen on the one-dollar bill. The All-Seeing Eye above an unfinished pyramid is unmistakably Masonic, and the scroll beneath, which proclaims the advent of a β€œNew Secular Order” in Latin, is one of Freemasonry’s long-standing goals. The Great Seal appeared on the dollar bill during the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt, also a Mason.

 

Freemasonry has continued to be important in U.S. politics, and at least 15 presidents, five Supreme Court chief justices, and numerous members of Congress have been Masons. Presidents known to be Masons include Washington, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, James Polk, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, James Garfield, William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Warren Harding, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and Gerald Ford. Today there are an estimated two million Masons in the United States.

The candle from Paltrow’s Goop boutique company sold out in about a day when it was introduced last year. But contrary to this newest claim, Paltrow originally claimed that the name evolved as a joke.

 

Paltrow’s Goop company has a controversial history in pushing questionable wellness products and sex aides. For instance, Goop promoted body vibes stickers, which it claimed could β€œrebalance the energy frequency in our bodies,” as well as sex dust, coffee enemas, β€œinner beauty” powder, vaginal eggs, handcuff bangles, vaginal steamers, β€œPsychic Vampire Repellent,” a BDSM kit, and a self-love spray.

 

The company also settled a lawsuit back in 2018 and was ordered to pay $145,000 after being accused of making unscientific claims made about Goop’s vaginal eggs. Paltrow’s company claimed the eggs can β€œbalance hormones, regulate menstrual cycles, prevent depression, prevent uterine prolapse and a combination of other illnesses.”

 

Despite the controversy, Paltrow’s company now has a home at Netflix with the streaming now playing a six-episode series called Goop Lab.
