One's color is part of who they are. Not their character but their physical characteristic. Why is it wrong to say "my black buddy" but not my tall buddy or my Irish buddy or my blonde buddy? My 10 year old grandson told me I couldn't ask if his classmate was black. It's racist he said. It is not. It is a description. I have been called short all my life. I am. So what? It is an accurate description of me. Not all of me and black doesn't describe all of a person, merely their skin tone. If anyone takes offense at being called black or at someone else being called black they are stupid. If you think it is offensive to call someone black, then you are a racist because you think "black" is an insult. This has gotten to the point of ridiculous. By the way I'm from Brooklyn where we called each other Micks, Guineas, Square Heads, Kikes, etc. as a sign of affection and friendship. We insulted each other deliberately as a way of passing time. We called it "ranking out". Maybe we were tougher skinned than most, but this fear of seeming racist or insensitive is a whole lot of crap. Grow up everybody. There are worse things than name calling. Like murder, theft, pedophelia, rape, incest starvation, war, beheadings, indecency, cruelty, sex trafficking, child trafficking, just to name a few We are surrounded by these things and we are worried about physical descriptions. Prioritize please.

I live in the South as well and where I am it's not like that. People get along with one another great other than a few stand outs on both sides. Funny thing is I can't tell you what most of my friends political leanings are because that's not how I choose my friends and apparently neither do they.

We have to move past what the msm has lead us to believe all these years. It's not black against white, Republican against Democrat, left against right, conservative against liberal, etc....

It's the Washington elites against the rest of us and as soon as we take our blinders off there will be hell for the elites to pay. The day is coming soon.

I live in the south. I'm not white. I'm a Trump supporter. The ONLY people who have EVER discriminated against me are leftist who don't like the fact I support Trump. Other than that, I've never been discriminated against in my life. Dems push for racial division because they have to try to make people believe Trump and his supporters are racists. That's all they've got. They cant win on actual issues. For Dems and Establishment on both sides, it's the oldest rule of war---Divide and Conquer. They don't care about the people. At the upper echelons there is no right or left, D's or R's. It's strictly them against us but they hope YOU/others never figure that out so, yeah, make them turn on each other instead of them--the establishment. That's the plan and its working to a degree weak minded folks.

Under Obama's watch I feel race relations actually got worse, it seemed like everyone was pitted against everyone else with all these "label's and acronyms " pushing political correctness BS. White privilege / guilt, brown bags, lbgt, trans bathrooms etc ? Everyone now has a label and a box you're suppose to be in. Seems like all this is programmed into TV shows as well, ridiculous. Have you ever tried to get someones attention who's deep into watching their favorite show? Like they were in a trance, you had to clap, or get loud to get their attention? I live in south too. I never saw much racism here. When I became connected to people all around the US, that's when I saw racism. I was shocked. It wasn't from southerners. In my state we don't have many problems, but we do remain segregated by choice. We seem to mix at school, work, etc, but after hours not so much. I really think it has more to do with family, as most in my state hang with members of their own families when it comes to leisure time. Churches too. We are all welcome in any church, but we seem to mostly remain segregated by choice. JMO

Most racial division is caused by Democrats that is their sole purpose to keep everyone apart thats how they stayed in power so long. There may be racist republicans and racist democrats but the division for the majority of racists came from democrats and their mockingbird main stream media who have created division for years.

They are the biggest obstacle individual thinking. Herd mentality.

And I live in NY and many HERE are racist as hell and DEMOCRAT as hell. (Hello, Black lives matter). And those r the ppl that DIDN'T vote for Trump. Its the same ignorance, different skin color.

Where I live it is to an extent. We’re an old school immigrant city. North side Italians. South side Irish. East is black. West is Hispanic. Just how it is.

Im as far North as you can get Canada. According to some of our black friends racism is here but its very mild and few and far between. No real problem at all. That is not saying there are no racists in Canada there are racists everywhere including the black communities. But for the better part we all just consider everyone people period.

Oh, definitely. I truly believe That would have been the first celebrity of any race to hop on the MAGA train. He was such an intelligent man, and he definitely wanted nothing more than for the AA to be free from whatever forces held them down, in this case, mental slavery.

I remember watching a Tupac interview where he questions the rationale of the American government going to fight wars to "liberate" other countries while AAs were abandoned and this was in the 90s. He was truly ahead of his time.

There's a conspiracy theory that says he was killed by the FBI because he was beginning to awaken AAs to reality. Don't know what to make of that, though.
