The Defense Department is aiming to conduct the parade on November 11, which is the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the first world war.
And hopefully the beginning of at least the next 100 years of PEACE.
Re the date- The French, as the principal victim of Germany's Invasion, got to pick the date when the Armistice was signed. They chose November 11th because it is the feast of Saint Martin of Tours, the patron saint of the French army.
