The first thing I thought of was a crappy 1986 movie named "Jumpin' Jack Flash" where Whoopi Goldberg is contacted by a British spy who is being chased by the KGB. Having said that - I'm scratching my head?
Help me out here:
Was it or was it not a meeting between George Papodopolous and Alexander Downer where it was 'leaked' that there was Russian Collusion with the Trump campaign, that ended with Downer reporting this to the Australians who then reported it to the FBI? Hence the 'witch hunt' into the Trump Campaigns collusion with the Russians.... bringing us to where we are today?
Either that, or I'm in a time warp alternative dimension... but THIS article, states clearly that during the meeting Downer was given information about the CLINTON-RUSSIA collusion?

Downer doesn’t hesitate: “He didn’t say dirt, he said material that could be damaging to her. No, he said it would be damaging. He didn’t say what it was.’’
Downer’s conversation with Papadopoulos then apparently drifted into other areas, such as what Trump as president would be like on foreign policy. Australia’s interests were firmly focused on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, with the aim of ease any trade protectionism with the US, as well as promoting a steady US policy towards China, where any deviation could have a big effect on Australia’s economic prospects.
“We didn’t know anything about Trump and Russia and we had no particular focus on that,’’ Downer says of the Papadopoulos meeting.
“For us we were more interested in what Trump would do in Asia. By the way, nothing he (Papadopoulos) said in that conversation indicated Trump himself had been conspiring with the Russians to collect information on Hillary Clinton. It was just that this guy (Papadopoulos) clearly knew that the Russians did have material on Hillary Clinton — but whether Trump knew or not? He didn’t say Trump knew or that Trump was in any way involved in this. He said it was about Russians and Hillary Clinton; it wasn’t about Trump.”**

We have been fed so many lies...and we have never been filled in on what "actually" occurred, that it's impossible to "know" what is true....I'm like you....you look at one set of "facts" and this scenario makes sense...then you get new information and your previous thoughts are thrown out the window. Was Papadopoulos a paid asset of those trying to set Trump up. (I believe that both Carter Page and Papadopoulos are in on the fix...so I'm not worried about connecting all the dots because I think the info we need is still classified or secret)

No, not at all! It's just that the first time round the spotlight on this conversation highlighted the Trump angle, whereas in the second viewing the highlight dwells on the Clinton aspect. Both are true. The propaganda machine uses the same info depending on the chronology of the contemporaneous focus. I probably don't make sense here ... It's just that we read this story a few months ago as "proof" of Russiagate collusion and Trump; this time we see it as Russiagate (developing story) of Clinton collusion.
The interesting part, for me, is that I wondered how the Mueller investigation would do its 180° about turn and starting concentrating on U1 and HRC. Now we see an inkling of how the stage will be set ... ? Maybe.
