Rep. Cheney wants to stay In Afghanistan and train locals in counterterrorism

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) agreed with President Biden claiming that it’s not the not the United States’ job to build a democracy in Afghanistan. Instead, she’d like to see locals trained to counter terrorism in the region. Cheney appeared on NBC Sunday.

First, Host Chuck Todd pointed out that a similar effort failed in Vietnam. Yet Cheney remains hopeful that successful institutions can still be built in Afghanistan.

“There’s no question that there were mistakes. There were strategies that were pursued that didn’t work, strategies that were pursued that didn’t have the resources they needed,” Cheney admitted. “But for the United States to be in a position where we need to ensure Afghanistan is not a safe haven, that means that we’ve got to provide the support necessary to continue to have the Afghans bear the brunt of the fight. It means that we’ve got to help to build the institutions that can withstand, you know, the Al Qaeda and the Taliban threat that continues.”

Biden’s said something similar last week, when he claimed that Afghans aren’t willing to fight for themselves. In the same breath, Biden said the mission was “never supposed to be nation-building,” or “unifying.” Instead, it was about “preventing another terrorist attack on American homeland.”

President Biden's decision to withdraw has not only damaged the United States in Afghanistan. It has damaged us globally.

“So this isn’t about building, you know, a democracy that looks like the United States,” Cheney said, reiterating the president. “It’s about what can we do to maintain stability so that we don’t have further terrorist attacks from Afghan soil?”

Meanwhile Cheney called former President Trump’s deal with the Taliban a “surrender.” “We completely undercut the Afghan national government, we absolutely emboldened the Taliban,” Cheney said. “And that led us to the catastrophe today.” However she admitted “there’s no question” Biden also could’ve gotten out of the agreement.

On Saturday, the Kentucky Supreme Court ruled in a case surrounding laws passed by the General Assembly limiting what the governor can do independently in a state of emergency.

The Court found in a narrowly tailored opinion that the laws were valid exercises of the General Assembly’s legislative power.

The case was remanded back to the trial court to dissolve an injunction against those laws and to consider underlying constitutional questions which the Supreme Court did not resolve.

Beshear on Monday rescinded his school mask mandate, issued in early August under a declared state of emergency.

It’s unclear whether he was legally compelled to do so given the vagaries in the Supreme Court’s ruling, but doing so may have prefigured a willingness to work with the General Assembly on a new emergency declaration.

Republican leaders have said they will work with Beshear on such a declaration.

A separate mask mandate only covering public schools remains in effect. It was passed by the Kentucky Board of Education under separate statutory authority.

Lawyers send open letter to UK Gov., Hancock, Whitty, & Vallance demanding answers on alleged mass murder in care homes through the use of Midazolam

An investigation launched by a team of lawyers and experts into the use of midazolam during the Covid-19 pandemic has now concluded in line with how matters should be conducted by the police. The team now has an extensive list of questions that they have put forward to the Government and its advisors, and will proceed with a private criminal prosecution if they do not get the answers they need.

In March 2020 the British people were ordered to stay at home, to protect the NHS, and save lives. But in reality the evidence suggests that the British people were ordered to stay at home, so the NHS could give midazolam to the elderly and vulnerable and pretend that they were Covid-19 deaths.

Here’s a quick run-down of some of the evidence –

Midazolam is a commonly used drug in palliative care, think of it as diazepam on steroids.

Midazolam is also a drug that has been used in executions by lethal injection in the USA.

UK regulators state that you should only receive midazolam in a hospital or doctor’s office that has the equipment that is needed to monitor your heart and lungs and to provide life-saving medical treatment quickly if your breathing slows or stops.

This is because Midazolam can cause serious or life-threatening breathing problems such as shallow, slowed, or temporarily stopped breathing that may lead to permanent brain injury or death.

At the start of the alleged Covid-19 pandemic Matt Hancock ordered a two year supply of Midazolam and then went back to France for more.

This was confirmed in a parliamentary committee meeting which included Hancock, Professor Van Tam, and Tory MP; Dr Luke Evans, who said a “good death” needs three things, one of those things being Midazolam.

At the same time Hancock and the Government changed the law on the certification of deaths under the guise of the coronavirus act.

And the law on cremations; removing the need for a confirmatory medical certificate.

And the law on indemnity for health service activity.

And the law on visiting loved ones in care homes; which was banned.

April and May 2020 saw a huge spike in deaths occurring in care homes, many were attributed to Covid-19.

In late 2020 the Care Quality Commission found 34% of Health and Social Care workers said they had felt pressured to place ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ orders on care home residents without informing the resident or their loved ones.

An Amnesty report also found the blanket use of DNR orders in Care homes.

The two-year supply of Midazolam purchased at the beginning of the alleged pandemic was gone by October.

What happened to all of the Midazolam?

Over the last 12 months, Lawyers of Light, PUB, and the amazing polymath, Mark Oakford, have interrogated community prescribing of the respiratory depressing drug, Midazolam.

Following receipt of eye witness statements of the misuse of Midazolam in care homes since April 2020, it became apparent that Midazolam had played a nefarious role in excess deaths, which were then conveniently labelled as Covid-19.

The parties above set about looking at Midazolam prescribing into the community since April 2020, and during their investigations it became evident that a criminal prosecution was necessary regarding the (alleged) misuse of Midazolam, seemingly by government diktat.

The same government official who said Hunter Biden’s laptop was a “Russian Op” and was later fired by Trump’s Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell is leading Joe Biden’s Afghanistan evacuation disaster.

Biden rehired Russell Travers and today he is leading Joe Biden’s disastrous and unintelligible Afghanistan evacuation plan.

UPDATE– We spoke with former Acting DNI Richard Grenell on Monday and this is what he told us: “Russ Travers was removed from running counter-terrorism from the Trump administration and replaced by a woman who was eager to implement the needed reforms.”

As recriminations fly among Biden administration officials over who bungled the Afghanistan withdrawal, some are questioning the responsibility of Russell Travers, who was fired by the Trump administration as acting head of the National Counterterrorism Center and subsequently rehired by President Joe Biden to lead the interagency process on the evacuation operation.

In March 2020, then-Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell fired Travers as acting head of the NCTC as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to streamline a bloated agency and remove ineffective individuals.

At the time, the move was decried by anonymous former officials as a “purge” of career professionals, as the Washington Post reported. “The removals have shocked Travers’s colleagues, who are upset at the treatment of someone so well-regarded, according to the two former officials,” the Post reported.

Travers would later in October 2020 sign a letter declaring the belief that the disclosure of emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

In January, Biden rehired Travers as deputy homeland security adviser at the National Security Council to go after domestic extremists.

Taliban frees top jailed Tehreek-e-Taliban leaders just as the al-Qadea affiliated group ramps up attacks in Pakistan

PESHAWAR – Pakistan is drifting towards a security breakdown as renewed terrorist attacks on military and police targets intensify following the withdrawal of US-led NATO forces and the Taliban’s creation of an Islamic Emirate in neighboring Afghanistan.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an umbrella of militant groups also known as the Pakistani Taliban, aims to overthrow Pakistan’s government and like the Afghan Taliban create an Islamic state in Islamabad. The Pashtun Islamist group receives ideological guidance and has ties with al-Qaeda.

TTP has carried out over 180 terrorist attacks on military and police personnel in restive Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces since May this year, killing or wounding over 100 Pakistani soldiers and police officials.

The militant group has said it killed over 26 “enemy personnel” and wounded 35 others in 26 attacks in July alone, a claim the Pakistani government has not yet contradicted. In an ominous portent, just hours after the Taliban took Kabul, TTP attacked an army post in North Waziristan’s Mirali area and inflicted heavy losses on security agencies.

So far this month, the terror group has killed over 15 soldiers, policemen and staff in Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber tribal areas. The Taliban’s rise is intensifying that threat. Last week, the Taliban released hundreds of TTP key commanders and operatives from Bagram and Pul-e-Charkhi Prisons when they took control of the areas.

Former TPP deputy chief and senior commander Maulvi Faqir Muhammad, who has publicly declared his close ties to al-Qaeda chief Ayman al Zawahiri, was among those released, a TTP spokesperson confirmed.

Some media houses in Pakistan that have sought to play down the Taliban’s release of TTP operatives reported that Maulvi Faqir was released some years ago by now-fallen Ashraf Ghani’s government. However, the TTP has refuted the reports. “He just got released, news about his release two years ago is baseless and wrong,” TTP spokesperson said.

Though most of the terror operations were carried out in the South Waziristan areas bordering Afghanistan – former TTP and al-Qaeda hotbed areas – and chiefly targeted Pakistani soldiers and policemen, some recent operations have focused singularly on Chinese interests.

In late April, a deadly bomb blast rocked the Serena Hotel in Pakistan’s southwestern city of Quetta, leaving five dead and 12 critically injured. TTP claimed responsibility for the attack in which Beijing’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong, narrowly escaped after entering the hotel lobby.

In another TTP suicide operation last month, the terrorist outfit attacked the vehicles carrying Chinese engineers to the Dasu hydropower project in the remote Kohistan region, killing at least nine Chinese and three Pakistani security staff.

In the latest attack on Chinese interests, four Chinese nationals including a driver were injured in a suicide attack targeting a vehicle in Pakistan’s Gwadar district on Friday.

The insurgent Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), another terror group opposed to the Pakistani state that has targeted Chinese interests including projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), claimed responsibility for the latest suicide mission.

The rising terror-related fatalities and fast-changing security situation in Afghanistan are ringing alarms in Pakistani military circles, which convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) last week. The NSC is a military-civil consultation forum that makes decisions on national security issues.

Security agencies in Pakistan are worried about the TTP’s recent reunification with a host of other terrorist groups including Shehryar Mehsud group, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, Hizb-ul-Ahrar, Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Muhammad, among others.

That reunification process began in December 2019 and has continued until now. Al-Qaeda was reportedly involved in bringing together some of these groups, which have shored up the operational synergy and capacity of the TTP.
