About all this CDC changed their numbers from 160K to 9K.

We're basically wrong.

And, collectively, we're kinda stupid about this.

You have 2 vastly different numbers.

One number - 160K - is how many people who had COVID who died.

Another number - 9K - tells you how many people died who only had COVID listed on their death form. That number, 9K, isn't even a real number. It was derived by getting 6% of 160K. The CDC mentioned that only 6% of the people who died only had COVID mentioned on the form, and someone outside of the CDC did the math.

The thing is, what that CDC page does is simply represent a tally of what people who filled out the forms put on those forms.

It's not at all a measurement of what people died from. It's a measurement of what people put on the forms of 160K dead people.

This might be difficult to understand.

On the CDC page there is a table that lists all of the different things that form fillers are putting on the forms. I'll pick out 4 of the many choices that are there.

1) Accidents like Motorcycle crashes + COVID.

We all heard about the guy with COVID who died in a motorcycle crash. He didn't die of COVID, the COVID didn't cause his death, it was the motorcycle crash, but he's on the list as a COVID death, and that's clearly wrong. And there are quite a large number of deaths that are like that. Those particular deaths shouldn't be on the COVID list.

2) Diabetes. Diabetes is one of quite a few preexisting conditions that have been marked on forms. People with diabetes have caught COVID, and died. It wasn't the diabetes that killed them though. They were alive with diabetes, and dead with COVID. Do we really think that we shouldn't call those deaths COVID deaths because the person who died had a preexisting condition? I don't. We have known since March that very old people and people with preexisting conditions are the most "at risk". At risk people, like people with diabetes, are catching COVID and dying, and when a form has diabetes and COVID on it, it was the COVID who killed them, and not the diabetes. Having the diabetes just makes it more likely they'll die, from the COVID.

3) Respiratory arrest / failure + COVID. This is a different category from diabetes. Respiratory arrest is what you die from (often, mostly) when you have COVID. Lungs get thick mucus, blood clots. We've known this for months. If a otherwise healthy person gets COVID, and then dies of respiratory failure, that's a person who dies of COVID. This respiratory failure is not something different from COVID. 2 people filling out forms might fill out the forms differently for the same person. Maybe one person puts down just COVID, maybe another person puts down COVID and respiratory failure.

4) Pneumonia. A lot of people died from COVID + pneumonia. 60K. In cases of COVID + pneumonia, I would argue that those are actually pneumonia deaths. We've known about HCQ + Zpack since March. The Zpack is the antibiotic, given to patients with COVID in order to prevent or treat pneumonia and other bacterial infections. I think that when the form says pneumonia, I would call that a pneumonia death, and not a COVID death. Removing the pneumonia deaths would take the total number of COVID deaths from 160K to about 100K, and I'd do that.

Adam Schiff (D-CA) has been running a thus-far-unreported investigation into the Trump administration’s response to violence in American cities.

Asked if Schiff should hold hearings on the threats to the country on display in American cities and outside the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Washington, DC, Nunes revealed that Schiff has been plotting to hold hearings on this matter. The difference, however, is Schiff’s hearings are actually going to target President Donald Trump and his administration’s efforts to secure order in places like Portland, and law enforcement and national security officials trying to restore law and order in riotous Democrat cities, rather than targeting the people behind the violence, looting, rioting, chaos, and mayhem.

“It’s funny you should say that — they are actually going to have, they’re running an investigation into this,” Nunes said on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel. “It hasn’t gotten too much coverage yet. They’re running an investigation from the Intelligence Committee, which has become the impeachment committee, on the situation that happened up in Seattle and Portland. But guess what? They’re running the investigation to see what federal assets did the Trump administration use and was it legal or not to keep the peace in the Pacific Northwest. So they are going to hold hearings, but they’re basically holding hearings to condemn the Trump administration for trying to save Americans’ lives and save Americans’ property and save us from all this looting and rioting and trying to keep under somewhat of some civil discourse here. So, they’re having hearings alright, but for the opposite reason.”

Asked if Schiff’s efforts to target with the Intelligence Committee the law enforcement community’s push to restore order instead of the people disrupting American communities and causing the mayhem in the first place actually assists those creating the chaos, Nunes said that Schiff has perverted the purpose of the Intelligence Committee.

“Essentially what they’re doing is the Department of Homeland Security, which Trump deployed obviously to protect the federal courthouse and other federal areas, they’re running an investigation into the Department of Homeland Security from the House Intelligence Committee which once again the irony of all of that is the House Intelligence Committee is supposed to be bipartisan,” Nunes said. “It’s supposed to have our focus on things like China, Russia, North Korea, counter-intelligence, and terrorism. But that’s clearly not what they’re after. What they’re doing is, first of all, they impeached the president using the Intelligence Committee but if that’s not enough here you have assets that the president is trying to use to help protect the government and federal property and they are now running an investigation into whether or not the president properly used that equipment or not to help aid in protecting federal property.”

Biden is hardly even there. Obama and his radical people are running this along with a bunch of Super PACs that are funding all of this,” he continued. “So, these people that descended on Washington, DC, most of them were not local. In fact, I flew in with a bunch of them where I got on a plane in Salt Lake City where I had to commute through and I saw maybe two dozen BLM people. The irony is they were all white people, they weren’t even black, but somebody was paying for those people to go there—they were coordinated, paying for that, and then what they did was they were not protesting. This is not protesting when you block the exits of the White House.”

Nunes concluded by condemning Democrat leaders for not unequivocally opposing the demonstrators’ actions and tactics:

“That’s the Democratic Party. They refuse—like Biden, Harris, all of them should have come out immediately and said ‘the president has a right to give his acceptance speech. Protesters, stay away, do not riot, do not cause a scene.’ But, no, they said absolutely nothing. In fact, you had many of the Democrats—not only did they refuse to condemn this violence, they’re actually encouraging it. They’re encouraging it not just through their own words, but through their money and also through what the media is continuing to do.”

On Monday, two police officers brought the 66-year-old to the headquarters of Rwanda Investigations Bureau and let media film him and take photographs.

Rusesabagina, who wore a facemask, did not speak. He has in the past said he is the victim of a smear campaign in Rwanda.

“Rusesabagina is suspected of being a founder or a leader or sponsor or member of violent armed extremist terror outfits … operating out of various places in the region and abroad,” the bureau’s spokesman, Thierry Murangira, told journalists.

He said Rusesabagina would face several charges including “terrorism, financing terrorism … arson, kidnap and murder.”

He did not say how or where Rusesabagina was arrested.

Rusesabagina moved abroad after the genocide and won worldwide acclaim, receiving the United States’ highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in 2005.

But back home, he has sparked outrage with warnings of another genocide, this time by Tutsis against Hutus. He has drawn criticism from some genocide survivors and president Paul Kagame who accused him of exploiting the genocide for commercial gain.

In 2010, the prosecutor general told Reuters authorities had evidence Rusesabagina had funded terrorist groups, though no charges were brought.

How the growing pro-Trump movement is preying on churchgoers to spread its conspiracy theories.

The first family to quit Pastor Clark Frailey’s church during the pandemic did it by text message. It felt to Frailey like a heartbreaking and incomplete way to end a years-long relationship. When a second young couple said they were doubting his leadership a week later, Frailey decided to risk seeing them in person, despite the threat of covid-19.

It was late May, and things were starting to reopen in Oklahoma, so Frailey and the couple met in a near-empty fast food restaurant to talk it over.

The congregants were worried about Frailey’s intentions. At Coffee Creek, his evangelical church outside Oklahoma City, he had preached on racial justice for the past three weeks. He says the couple didn’t appreciate his most recent sermon, which urged Christians to call out and challenge racism anywhere they saw it, including in their own church. Though Frailey tries to keep Coffee Creek from feeling too traditional—he wears jeans, and the church has a modern band and uses chairs instead of pews—he considers himself a theologically conservative Southern Baptist pastor. But at one point, the couple Frailey spoke to said they believed that he was becoming a “social justice warrior.”

Pastors and congregants disagree all the time, and Frailey doesn’t want to be the sort of Christian leader whom people feel afraid to challenge. But in that restaurant, it felt to him as if he and they had read two different sacred texts. It was as if the couple were “believing internet memes over someone they’d had a relationship with for over five years,” Frailey says.

At one point he brought up QAnon, the conspiracy theory holding that Donald Trump is fighting a secret Satanic pedophile ring run by liberal elites. Richard Morris: body found in search for diplomat in Hampshire

Police searching for diplomat who went missing in May have found a body.

Richard Morris set off jogging from his home in Bentley, near Farnham, at 10.30am on 6 May and was last seen running in Islington Road in nearby Alton.

Hampshire police said on Monday that a body had been found in nearby Alice Holt Forest and the death was not being treated as suspicious.

New Trump pandemic adviser pushes controversial 'herd immunity' strategy, worrying public health officials

WASHINGTON - One of President Donald Trump's top medical advisers is urging the White House to embrace a controversial "herd immunity" strategy to combat the pandemic, which would entail allowing the coronavirus to spread through most of the population to quickly build resistance to the virus, while taking steps to protect those in nursing homes and other vulnerable populations, according to five people familiar with the discussions.

The administration has already begun to implement some policies along these lines, according to current and former officials as well as experts, particularly with regard to testing.

The approach's chief proponent is Scott Atlas, a neuroradiologist from Stanford's conservative Hoover Institution, who joined the White House earlier this month as a pandemic adviser. He has advocated that the United States adopt the model Sweden has used to respond to the virus outbreak, according to these officials, which relies on lifting restrictions so the healthy can build up immunity to the disease rather than limiting social and business interactions to prevent the virus from spreading.

Sweden's handling of the pandemic has been heavily criticized by public health officials and infectious-disease experts as reckless - the country has among the highest infection and death rates in the world. It also hasn't escaped the deep economic problems resulting from the pandemic.

But Sweden's approach has gained support among some conservatives who argue that social distancing restrictions are crushing the economy and infringing on people's liberties.

That this approach is even being discussed inside the White House is drawing concern from experts inside and outside the government who note that a herd immunity strategy could lead to the country suffering hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of lost lives.

"The administration faces some pretty serious hurdles in making this argument. One is a lot of people will die, even if you can protect people in nursing homes," said Paul Romer, a professor at New York University who won the Nobel Prize in economics in 2018. "Once it's out in the community, we've seen over and over again, it ends up spreading everywhere."

Atlas, who does not have a background in infectious diseases or epidemiology, has expanded his influence inside the White House by advocating policies that appeal to Trump's desire to move past the pandemic and get the economy going, distressing health officials on the White House coronavirus task force and throughout the administration who worry that their advice is being followed less and less.

Atlas declined an interview request. White House spokesman Judd Deere did not respond to specific questions for this story and instead said in a statement that Atlas is a "world renowned physician and scholar of advanced medical care and health care policy" and criticized the media for reporting on the topic.

White House officials said Trump has asked questions about herd immunity but has not formally embraced the strategy. The president, however, has made public comments that advocate a similar approach.

"We are aggressively sheltering those at highest risk, especially the elderly, while allowing lower-risk Americans to safely return to work and to school, and we want to see so many of those great states be open," he said during his address to the Republican National Convention Thursday night. "We want them to be open. They have to be open. They have to get back to work."

Atlas has fashioned himself as the "anti-Dr. Fauci," one senior administration official said, referring to Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious-disease official, who has repeatedly been at odds with the president over his public comments about the threat posed by the virus. He has clashed with Fauci as well as Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, over the administration's pandemic response.

Atlas has argued both internally and in public that an increased case count will move the nation more quickly to herd immunity and won't lead to more deaths if the vulnerable are protected. But infectious-disease experts strongly dispute that, noting that more than 25,000 people younger than 65 have died of the virus in the United States. In addition, the United States has a higher number of vulnerable people of all ages because of high rates of heart and lung disease and obesity, and millions of vulnerable people live outside nursing homes - many in the same households with children, whom Atlas believes should return to school.

Bags of stolen mail found in DWI suspect's car, HCSO says

HOUSTON — A Harris County deputy made a surprising discovery when he pulled over a drunk driving suspect in Katy Saturday night.

The suspect’s car was full of stolen mail, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Parella spotted the mail while questioning the driver at the Metro Park and Ride near I-10 and the Grand Parkway.

Parella said he found a couple of bags of undelivered mail and a trunk full of mostly junk mail.

It's not really clear, at all, that people actually are getting immunity. It seems like people can get this more than once.

I like the "who gives a fuck?" language. Let healthy people get it. Let healthy people get it more than once.

If Trump says "herd immunity" and then it turns out that there is no herd immunity, Trump seems wrong.

The overall plan seems pretty good though. Healthy people = back to normal. At risk = make a special effort to make sure that they don't get it.

In one case series of 251 COVID-19 patients treated with HCQ and azithromycin, extreme QT prolongation occurred in 23 percent. The HCQ was stopped; no deaths occurred. No reports of cardiac deaths were found in the review. Rather, “HCQ/azithromycin were uniformly found to substantially reduce cardiac mortality and also to decrease thrombosis, arrhythmia and cholesterol in treated patients.”

Warnings issued by FDA, CDC, the American Heart Association, and others have suppressed the use of potentially life-saving HCQ treatment. However, author Chadwick Prodromos, M.D., notes that warnings cite no specific study, and do not comment on whether actual deaths have occurred.

He concludes that: “HCQ decreases cardiac events. HCQ should not be restricted in use for COVID 19 patients because of fear of cardiac mortality.”

It is important to remember that COVID-19 itself can damage the heart, increasing the importance of early treatment.

Cardiologist Peter McCullough, M.D., M.P.H., of the Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute in Dallas, recommends HCQ and other measures for early treatment in a recent article in the American Journal of Medicine.

Russia may be responsible for the deadly unrest in American cities, CNN host Dana Bash has implied during an interview with Democrats’ top Russiagate figure, Adam Schiff, proving that red-baiting never goes out of vogue.

Schiff, who played a leading role in peddling the theory that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to win the 2016 election, obliged to confirm that yes, the Russians “are once again doing their best in social media, in the overt media and other means to grow this division again.”

Blaming Russia for racial problems in the US is a time-honored tradition, so the CNN-Schiff duet hardly discovered new territory there. And the fact that the collusion theory crumbled after the Robert Mueller investigation failed to find evidence of it doesn’t seem to hurt his credibility with the sympathetic media.

LA County Loses Court Battle with Grace Community Church — So County Sends Eviction Notice to the Church on Sunday

On August 12th Los Angeles County filed charges prohibiting Grace Community Church from holding religious services. But a local judge decided in favor of Grace Community Church to allow religious service if congregants wore face coverings and practiced social distancing.

Pastor John MacArthur said at the time that the church was meeting indoors because it was their constitutional right and that it was commanded by God for his people to come together in worship.

Factories, pot shops, liquor stores and department stores are allowed to stay open but not houses of worship.

County officials were outraged at the judge’s decision this week telling the LA Times, “It is deeply disappointing that the Court decided not to grant the County’s request for a temporary restraining order prohibiting Grace Community Church from holding indoor services. We look forward to a favorable ruling when a full hearing is heard on the matter.”

Dallas, TX — The taxpayers of Dallas, Texas may want to request a refund this week after finding out that they have been paying for a pedophile to distribute child porn to other disgusting pedophiles online. According to federal court documents, Sr. Cpl. Daniel Lee Collins just pleaded guilty to uploading sexual photos of underage girls to various Google accounts using the City of Dallas internet network, according to the Department of Justice.

U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox stated that Daniel Lee Collins, 35, a former senior corporal, pleaded guilty to the crimes on Friday morning. The top cop further admitted he knew the images depicted actual minors, including a nude prepubescent female, and portrayed “sadistic or masochistic conduct.”

According to the federal criminal complaint, Collins, a 35-year-old senior corporal assigned to Dallas Police Department’s Auto Theft Unit, was charged via criminal complaint with transportation of child pornography.

“Law enforcement officers take an oath to protect and serve,” said Cox. “This defendant allegedly undermined that vow, preying upon our most vulnerable. The Department of Justice will not tolerate the exploitation of children – especially by our public servants.”

As TFTP reported at the time, the investigation began with a tip to the the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in May and another in June. The images were being uploaded from multiple accounts held by Collins. Google flagged the images – one uploaded on May 13 to an account tagged “Dan Collins” and two more uploaded on June 29 to an account tagged “John Smith.”

An IT expert in Dallas later traced the IP addresses for the uploads and found them to be coming from the City of Dallas internet network. Investigators determined that the same Google accounts were also accessed from Collin’s residence, according to the federal complaint.

In an interview with federal agents, Collins admitted to accessing the Google accounts and saving child pornography, according to court documents.

Pentagon Releases Terrifying Video Of Russian Su-27 Turning Directly In Front Of A B-52

This unsafe intercept is the latest evidence of a concerning escalation in Cold War-like posturing between the U.S. and Russia in recent days.

The Pentagon has released what is possibly the most troubling video we have seen of a so-called 'unsafe intercept' between one of its aircraft and Russian fighters. The incident occurred on August 28th, 2020, when the U.S. Air Force sent six B-52s, four of which are forward deployed to RAF Fairford in the United Kingdom, to traverse every NATO member country's airspace in a show of strength and solidarity for the alliance. This included flights over Eastern Europe and the tense Black Sea region, where the intercept took place. The maneuver the Su-27s executed is sometimes referred to as 'thumping' or a 'head-butt' and it has the potential to be extremely dangerous depending on how it is performed. Regardless, it's never welcome. In the video, can see the Su-27 pull up close to the B-52's left-wing before pulling forward, up, and crossing in front of and above the bomber's forward path. It's easy to miss, but another clip towards the end of the video shows a Su-27 doing a similar maneuver, but directly in front of the nose of the B-52 at incredibly close range. To call the maneuver dangerous or unprofessional would be an understatement.

The Pentagon states: At approximately 11:19 a.m. on Aug. 28, 2020, two Russian Su-27 Flanker pilots intercepted a U.S. Air Force B-52 bomber that was conducting routine operations in the black sea over international waters. The Russian pilots flew in an unsafe and unprofessional manner while crossing within 100 feet of the nose of the B-52 multiple times at co-altitude and while in afterburner causing turbulence and restricting the B-52’s ability to maneuver. The B-52 Stratofortress aircraft was conducting routine operations in international airspace exercising our freedom of navigation and overflight. The U.S. Air Force routinely operates aircraft in the region in accordance with recognized international safety standards as prescribed in International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) rules of flight. Just for reference, at cruise speed, a B-52 covers about 750 feet per second. So, crossing 100 feet or so near perpendicular to the bomber's direction of travel is literally a blink of an eye away from a collision.

The Su-27 Flanker seen in the video likely originated out of Crimea. A contingent of the heavy fighters are deployed to Russia's primary airbase on the peninsula and are tasked with standing alert to intercept NATO aircraft venturing east over the Black Sea. B-52s and B-1Bs have been active in the area in recent months, including practicing launching cruise missile strikes, an act that Moscow is clearly not pleased with. We constantly hear of unsafe intercepts between U.S., Russian, and Chinese aircraft, but rarely have we seen such remarkable footage that highlights exactly what went on. In fact, the lack of good video evidence has been an issue in the past. Considering that the B-52 crew was ready and waiting with a video camera in the cockpit shows that this is now changing. This incident is yet another sign that we are barreling into a timeframe of peculiarly strong posturing on both sides.

Four Young Leftists Sentenced in Court After Hurling Chlorine Bomb at Police Officer, Nearly Killing Him and Detonating 7 Other Bombs

Four young violent leftists were sentenced last week on charges they created a road hazard as a stationary target. Then the young leftists hurled a chlorine bomb at the police officer when he stop to clear the road.

The young leftists were sentenced last week to 60 days in prison and probation for two years.

The Jeffco.US website reported on the violent deviants.

Sentencing was held on August 26, 2020 for three of four men convicted of throwing a chlorine bomb at an Arvada Police officer as he attempted to clear a road hazard. The hazard was built by the defendants to create a stationary target for their bombs.

On April 7, 2019 at 10:00 p.m., Arvada police received a call from a citizen regarding a road hazard at 72nd and Beech Street. The Officer arrived to find that street signs had been pulled out of ground and stacked in middle of the road, then plastic wrap had been strung across the road. The Officer and the citizen began to attempt to clear the road barricade when a plastic bottle was thrown and landed near the Officer. He overheard someone yell obscenities at him. When the bottle hit the ground it began releasing heavy chlorine gas. The Officer began coughing, became nauseous, lost consciousness, and fell to the ground. Other officers and paramedics arrived and the Officer was transported to the hospital.

They detonated at least seven additional incendiary devices in the area.

Arvada Police officers addressed the judge at the sentencing hearing, describing the impact this had on the officer, the entire department, and the community. During the immediate search for the offenders, a Code Red was issued for a one-mile radius in Arvada.

The officer suffered serious pulmonary damage and spent months going to medical appointments and missing work and continues to suffer the effects of the chlorine gas.

“These men set up an ambush for police. When the first Arvada officer arrived to clear away the road hazard, he was a fixed target for their toxic chemical bombs,” said DA Pete Weir, “These young men purchased the chemicals and plastic bottles at Walmart, mixed the bombs and then set up their targets for ambush. The impact on the law enforcement community has been enormous.”

Peace deal signed by Sudan & rebel groups after 17 years of conflict

The government of Sudan and an alliance of major rebel groups have signed a long-awaited peace agreement. It is hoped it will end the protracted armed conflict, which has claimed some 300,000 lives in the African nation.

The signing ceremony in Juba, the capital of neighboring South Sudan, took place on Monday, two days after the terms of the agreement were finalized. The host nation helped mediate the peace talks, which started last year.

The peace agreement covers major issues like security, land ownership, power sharing and rehoming of refugees. Some 2.5 million people have been displaced since the conflict between predominantly Arab government forces and non-Arab rebels in the western Darfur region erupted in 2003, according to the UN. An estimated 300,000 people have been killed during the fighting.

The rebel alliance, which signed the deal, includes groups from the South Kordofan and Blue Nile regions, which are tied to a larger civil war in Sudan. The provinces remained under Sudanese sovereignty when the non-Arab part of the country split in 2011 to form sovereign South Sudan.

The peace talks were made possible by the downfall of Sudan’s long-time strongman leader Omar al-Bashir, who was ousted in April last year after staying in power for two decades. The transitional government made negotiations with the rebels one of its top priorities.

There were previous attempts to end the Sudanese conflict, with one peace accord signed in Nigeria in 2006 and another one in Qatar in 2010, both of which later collapsed.

Under a new bill introduced by Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) called the “Support Peaceful Protest Act,” rioters who are caught committing crimes like acts of violence, looting or vandalism would pay for the cost of federal policing of the riot and be lose federal unemployment benefits.

“Antifa thugs are descending on suffering communities, disrupting peaceful protests and leaving violence, looting and vandalism in their wake. They turned Milwaukee, Seattle and Portland into warzones, and now they’re moving the chaos to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Who knows which community is next?” said Rep. Banks.

Lebanese president designates Ambassador to Germany Mustapha Adib as new prime minister

Lebanese President Michel Aoun has designated Mustapha Adib as the new PM, tasking him with forming a new cabinet, after the previous government quit in the wake of the devastating explosion at the Beirut port.

Senior diplomat Adib was tapped as the new PM after he managed to secure the support of the majority in parliament. Adib has been Lebanese ambassador to Germany since July 2013, as well as an adviser to a former PM in the early 2010s.

Shortly after his designation, Adib called for the formation of a new government in record time, as well as for the immediate launch of reforms needed for an agreement for with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The opportunity for our country is small,” Adib stressed.

The previous Lebanese government, led by Hassan Diab, resigned shortly after the devastating blast that rocked the port of the country’s capital on August 4. The explosion killed at least 190 people, injuring thousands more and caused widespread destruction across Beirut, while its port was effectively leveled. The explosion was caused by a massive haul of ammonium nitrate fertilizer that had been improperly stored at the port for years after it was seized from a cargo vessel.

Adib’s designation comes just a day ahead of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit. Last week, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian issued a warning to Lebanon, stating it might “disappear” altogether if a new government is not formed immediately.

Paris has become increasingly involved in the political life of its former protectorate after the port blast, and it’s Macron's second visit to the country in less than a month. France’s president has rallied a host of donors ready to help Lebanon with the aftermath of the blast – if the country conducts all the reforms required by the international sponsors.

Strongly suggesting that Lei could actually be under suspicion of spying or passing sensitive information to the Australian government, or other serious breach of her work for state-run CGTN, her employment profile page detailing eight years of accomplishments for CGTN has been taken down and all videos of her previous stories have been scrubbed.

Chinese authorities have indicated she's currently held in "residential surveillance at a designated location", ABC notes.

Another Australian citizen and news correspondent, Yang Hengjun, had previously been detained January 2019, and has reportedly yet to be provided access to his lawyers.

The combination of depressionary unemployment and a natural disaster in the state could result in further food bank stress as they might have to choose between who gets fed and who doesn't.

Chicago Sees At Least 50 People Shot, 10 Killed As City Grapples With Spike In Gun Violence

At least 50 people were shot and 10 of those shot were killed over the weekend in Chicago, including two police officers who were injured during a traffic stop gone wrong.

The two Chicago police officers were shot Sunday during an arrest, according to ABC7 Chicago. Officers were conducting a traffic stop when they saw a gun in the backseat of the car. Officers ordered the suspect to get out of the car, but he reportedly didn’t comply. The officers then broke the car window to try and arrest the suspect. However, a struggle ensued and the suspect fired multiple shots, hitting both officers per ABC7.

Both officers are in stable condition, with one officer having been shot in the chest, side and back and the other having been shot in the shoulder and chest.

Chicago Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot confirmed the suspect was in custody in a Sunday tweet.

Four people were killed on Sunday, including 31-year-old Devon Welsh who was eating at Lumes Pancake House when a drive-by shooting occurred, according to the Chicago Sun Times. Welsh was struck multiple times after an SUV pulled up and began firing. Police believe Welsh was the intended target.

Four others were also hit during the shooting, with two individuals shot in their legs, another individual shot in the foot and a fourth individual shot in the abdomen and buttocks. All are reported to be in stable condition.

Oregon Governor Blames ‘Armed White Supremacists’ for Violence

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) blamed “right-wing vigilantes” and “armed white supremacists” for the bloodshed in the city of Portland during a Sunday press release.

Brown called to stop the “cycle of violence” during the press release, which announced additional law enforcement resources for the city of Portland, but did not recognize the lawless acts of violence committed by protesters on a nightly basis, such as targeting police with commercial-grade fireworks, rocks, and lasers, and vandalizing federal buildings. Instead, she berated “armed right-wing vigilantes” and specifically targeted the “Patriot Prayer” group, which saw an alleged member shot and killed in Portland on Saturday.

“The right-wing group Patriot Prayer and self-proclaimed militia members drove into downtown Portland last night, armed and looking for a fight. Every Oregonian has the right to freely express their views without fear of deadly violence,” Brown said, vowing that she will “not allow Patriot Prayer and armed white supremacists to bring more bloodshed to our streets.”

“Time and again, from Charlottesville to Kenosha to Portland, we have seen the tragic outcome when armed right-wing vigilantes take matters into their own hands,” Brown said. “Gun violence is never, ever the answer.”

“Change will not come overnight, and, as we have seen in these last months, it does not come easily either. But we are building a more just future,” she continued, promising to “bring all voices to the table to help end the nightly confrontations.”

“But that will only come if we commit ourselves to do the hard work to bring about real change and racial justice,” she added.

The victim of Saturday’s fatal shooting, which occurred after a pro-Trump caravan moved through the city, is reported to be Aaron “Jay” Danielson, who was reportedly wearing a Patriot Prayer hat.

The Oregonian reported that police are investigating 48-year-old Michael Forest Reinoehl as a suspect in the fatal shooting. Reinoehl is an alleged Black Lives Member supporter who once identified himself on social media as “100% ANTIFA all the way.” According to reports, Reinoehl is believed to have been participating in the riots that have dominated Portland since May 25 and was arrested on weapons charges, but released earlier this year.

“On July 5 at one of the demonstrations, Reinoehl was cited at 2:10 a.m. in the 700 block of Southwest Main Street on allegations of possessing a loaded gun in a public place, resisting arrest and interfering with police,” the Oregonian reported.

“Essentially what they’re doing is the Department of Homeland Security, which Trump deployed obviously to protect the federal courthouse and other federal areas, they’re running an investigation into the Department of Homeland Security from the House Intelligence Committee which once again the irony of all of that is the House Intelligence Committee is supposed to be bipartisan,” Nunes said. “It’s supposed to have our focus on things like China, Russia, North Korea, counter-intelligence, and terrorism. But that’s clearly not what they’re after. What they’re doing is, first of all, they impeached the president using the Intelligence Committee but if that’s not enough here you have assets that the president is trying to use to help protect the government and federal property and they are now running an investigation into whether or not the president properly used that equipment or not to help aid in protecting federal property.”

NPR Promotes Author’s Defense of Looting as ‘Imaginative Sense of Freedom and Pleasure’

The author of a new book titled In Defense of Looting described to NPR in an interview published Thursday that looting is a means to provide violent rioters who destroy the property of others with “an imaginative sense of freedom and pleasure.”

Vicky Osterweil justified the violent rioters who smash store windows and steal the property of store owners are simply engaging looting as a means to address the unequal distribution of wealth.

According to NPR, Osterweil somehow differentiates between the “looting” she says she is “defending,” i.e., “the mass expropriation of property, mass shoplifting during a moment of upheaval or riot,” and “any situation in which property is stolen by force.”

Without any pushback from NPR, Osterweil said looting demonstrates how the world is “unjust” and it “attacks the history of whiteness and white supremacy”:

And the reason that the world is organized that way, obviously, is for the profit of the people who own the stores and the factories. So you get to the heart of that property relation, and demonstrate that without police and without state oppression, we can have things for free.

Osterweil concluded by denying the value of nonviolent protests.

More Americans are ready than is known or talked about outside of their communities. I left the city years ago to the countryside with almost zero violent crime, and lots of gun-owning decent folk, many who farm their own land. Stocked up ammo before it got hard to find, and storable food and TP before covid hoax. Solar power chargers, generator, emergency radios, firewood, water filtration, etc, etc.

Other than the population in the top 10 U.S. cities, there are probably more people in a good state of readiness than not. Gangs of teen videogame players, or brainwashed college students, or unemployed ghetto hoodlums, would fail quickly anywhere but in a big city, where they have endless stores to loot, potential victims to harrass and buildings to burn on every city block, criminal politicians to protect them, and useless metro police under orders to stand down.

I still believe Trump and US MIL will restore the entire country to law and order by end of year. But if not, many Americans are prepared, for anything but a massive foreign military invasion or a power outage lasting months.

For those still living in a big city and realizing it's not part of the American dream, grab the books "Strategic Relocation" by Joel Skoussen, "SAS Survival Handbook" by John Wiseman, "Tools for Survival: What You Need to Survive When You're on Your Own" and "How to Survive the End of the World As We Know It: Tactics, Techniques, and Technologies for Uncertain Times" by James Wesley Rawles. Other anons can recommend more books. Check out the "prepper" blogs and youtube channels. Buy some guns and get proessional training on them. And start planning your move to nature, peace, and safety. It's even easier to do right now, since more jobs are going work-from-home-online because of the lockdowns. Some real estate agents even specialize in helping people relocate to rural self-sufficiency.

One good thing that will come out of all this crisis is that it will cause a lot of people to get out of the expensive corrupt cities and back to self-reliance, sustainability, and survivability.
