Pro-Antifa DA Drops Attempted Murder and Arson Charges For Terrorist Who Threw Molotov Cocktail At Police

 

Multnomah County district attorney Mike Schmidt has dropped the most serious charges against Joseph Robert Sipe, the ALLEGED rioting terrorist who ALLEGEDLY threw a giant Molotov cocktail at police in Portland last night. Charges of First Degree Attempted Murder, First Degree Arson, First Degree Attempted Assault, and Attempt To Commit A Class A Felony, which all fall under Class A and B felonies, were all dropped. Only the Class C Felony charges of Riot and Unlawful Possession Of A Destructive Device remain.

 

D.A. Schmidt has been known for catering to the terrorists, often dropping charges on rioters in the aftermath of these “peaceful protests.”

 

The Oregonian reports:

 

A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at a Portland protest does not appear to be the person who threw a Molotov cocktail at police in a now viral video, a law enforcement source told The Oregonian/OregonLive.

 

Prosecutors declined to file multiple felony charges against Joseph Robert Sipe, who authorities booked into the Multnomah County jail early Thursday, records show.

 

Portland police had arrested the 23-year-old on allegations of attempted murder, attempted assault, first-degree arson and unlawful possession of a destructive device during a demonstration in honor of Breonna Taylor, a Black woman fatally shot by police in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Sipe was arraigned Thursday afternoon on charges riot and unlawful possession of a destruction device, court records show.

 

But a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation said Sipe was wearing different attire than the person seen in multiple videos hurling a Molotov cocktail that bursts into flames in front officers about 10:30 p.m.

 

The Multnomah District Attorney’s Office on Thursday night said “law enforcement continues to conduct investigative follow up to determine exactly who threw the Molotov cocktail from this incident.”

 

So just make sure you shed your jacket after throwing molotov cocktails then they can’t pin it on you.

Brutal question Daniel Andrews can't answer

 

Daniel Andrews has been given an absolute hammering at his press conference, with one brutal question putting him in an awkward position.

 

The inquiry hit farcical new levels yesterday when Health Minister Jenny Mikakos joined a group of ministers, senior bureaucrats, police and emergency services chiefs who claimed not to know who chose to deploy guards to the hotels.

 

Today, the reporters at the Victorian Premier’s press conference were not pulling their punches, with one brutal question leaving him in an awkward spot.

 

She said the words “shared accountability” and “shared responsibility” have been used multiple times by senior officials in the inquiry.

 

“Does this mean that Victorians should expect that multiple heads will roll?” she asked.

 

Mr Andrews refused to answer saying he had already explained why he won’t be drawn on questions about the inquiry.He responded to several questions before that with his usual excuse, that the inquiry is ongoing and therefore he doesn’t want to comment on it.

 

The reporter wasn’t buying it.

 

“More than 650 people have died since the second wave. Isn’t it only fair that someone should be held accountable for this and that is what it should look like?” she asked.

 

Mr Andrews responded; “The fact that Victorians have died, even one death, is a tragedy. That is a matter of great concern to me. It is a matter of great concern to every single Victorian.

A federal appeals panel says Gov. JB Pritzker is free to limit Republican political gatherings in the name of fighting COVID-19, but also allowed under the law to give more leeway to religious gatherings and Black Lives Matter protests, if he chooses.

 

On Sept. 3, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the arguments presented by the Illinois Republican Party and other plaintiffs that Pritzker had not improperly discriminated against them and other political organizations by refusing to allow them to gather in groups of more than 50 people while Illinois remains in a state of emergency because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The ruling was authored by Seventh Circuit Judge Diane P. Wood.Circuit judges Amy C. Barrett and Amy J. St. Eve concurred.

Walmart Raises Pay - Only To Slash Hours, Bonuses

 

Walmart last year said it was overhauling its stores to make them operate smoother and create more opportunities for employees to "do meaningful work." The "Great Workplace" initiative, described by the nation's largest private employer, said it would be "the key to winning the future of retail."

 

Walmart's new initiative, which includes restructuring the leadership roles at its Supercenters and raising pay for some of its salaried and hourly employees, also eliminated their quarterly bonuses, and now appearing to reduce workers' hours while increasing workloads despite promises of greater opportunity.

 

The Guardian spoke with employees who were promised "greater opportunity for associates to lead and take more ownership in the business," but, they said, none of that came to pass. Instead, some saw their hours reduced, making it more difficult impossible to pay bills and feed their families.

 

ome staff said the retailer is accelerating internal restructuring plans as some workers have seen their hours "cut horrendously - making it very difficult" to survive on minimum wage.

 

Noted above, the plan, called the Great Workplace program, was rolled out in 2019 and promoted increased wages for those accepted into new management positions. The Guardian spoke with several former and current employees who confirmed "significant cuts to workers' hours, pay cuts, and increased workloads."

 

Kimberly Patrick Gray, a Walmart associate for four years in Tupelo, Mississippi, said her store saw a consolidation of "three departments into one and then expected all the associates from those areas to fight for hours."

 

Gray said her schedule was reduced from around 35 hours a week on average to less than 20 hours this year, forcing her to quit because the reduction in hours made it "very difficult to pay bills."

 

A department manager at a store in Arizona, who wanted to remain anonymous, said Walmart's new restructuring plan slashed pay by at least $2.05 an hour if they were not chosen for a leadership position.

 

"Those that are not offered a lead position or turn down a team lead over will have till 29 January to find another position," they said. "Only those department managers that get team lead positions will receive a pay raise. The rest of us will be cut in pay. If I'm lucky I will only lose $2.05 an hour. It is possible that I could lose much more."

Sup night crew. Had a q for some autists if any present. I’m an amateur doing research on a cold case. Trying to compare these two images to see if they match and if this is the same shirt or not. Both images are of a section of a t shirt. One image is much clearer then the other. One is over exposed and put through different color filters.

I have been taking some heat from friends and colleagues for my steadfast defense of personal liberties and my arguments that the Constitution — when interpreted in accordance with the plain meaning of its words, and informed by history — does not permit the government to infringe upon personal freedoms, no matter the emergency or pandemic. For those who agree with me, worry not. We will persevere. For those who trust the government, worry a lot. You are not in good hands.

 

The purpose of the Constitution is to establish the government and to limit it. Some of the limitations are written in the Constitution itself. Most of the limitations that pertain to personal freedoms are found in the Bill of Rights — the first 10 amendments.

 

These amendments were ratified to restrain the federal government from infringing upon personal liberties. Since the enactment of the 14th Amendment in 1868, and subsequent litigation, these amendments, for the most part, restrain the states as well. The courts have characterized these protected liberties as fundamental.

 

So, the rights to thought, speech, press, assembly, worship, self-defense, privacy, travel, property ownership, interstate commercial activities and fair treatment from government are plainly articulated or rationally inferred in the first eight amendments. The Ninth is a catchall, which declares that the enumeration of rights in the first eight shall not mean that there are no other rights that are fundamental, and the government shall not disparage those other rights. The Tenth reflects that the states have reserved powers to themselves.

 

The Ninth was especially important to its author, James Madison, because of his view that natural rights — known today as fundamental rights — are integral to each person, and they are too numerous to list. In the next century, the anti-slavery crusader Lysander Spooner would explain it thusly: “A man’s natural rights are his own, against the whole world; and any infringement of them is equally a crime, whether committed by one man, or by millions; whether committed by one man, calling himself a robber, … or by millions, calling themselves a government.”

 

Natural rights collectively constitute the moral ability and sovereign authority of every human being to make personal choices — free from government interference or government permission.

Disarm and abolish the police

 

As long as police have weapons and impunity, they will go on killing us. All of our efforts have only made a dent in their impunity; it’s time to go all the way. Only when the highway patrol cannot end our lives during a routine traffic stop will the terror that so many of us feel every time we see blue lights flashing begin to ease. Only when no group of uniformed thugs feels entitled to pin anyone to the ground and ignore his pleas will all of us be free from the threat of becoming the next George Floyd.

 

Once police are disarmed, it will become clear to everyone how useless they are at the things we think we need them for. When mentally ill people act in ways that seem erratic to others, we need counselors and advocates, not armed gunmen. When romantic partners and neighbors have conflicts, we need people with conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, not violent escalators enforcing a patriarchal agenda. When kids need traffic directed so they can cross the street, we need friendly elders and neighbors who know them, not people toting lethal weapons who have little experience working with children. When we lose things or find things, we need a community center to exchange them, not a precinct. When our cars break down by the side of the road, we need a community of Good Samaritans, not a mercenary looking to write us a ticket. The majority of what the police do is harmful and should be immediately eliminated to make us all safer; much of the rest could be done much better by skilled, unarmed volunteers of good will.

 

As an institution, policing itself is violent and oppressive to the core. The thousands of murders individual officers perpetrate are just the tip of the iceberg. How can we measure the daily anxiety, the acute terror, the petty humiliations, the impact of family members being kidnapped and shaken down that so many people experience every time they must engage with infuriating arrogance grinning from behind a badge? From their origin in slave patrols to today’s high-tech spy drones and predictive policing algorithms, police have never existed to protect us.

 

It’s not a question of bad apples. The entire barrel is rotten.

 

Promote collective self-defense

 

The chant “Who keeps us safe? We keep us safe!” is more than a slogan—it’s a necessity. There is no safety we can count on that is not built on our trust and relationships with each other. To be certain of our safety, we must be able to define for ourselves what risks we face and how to address them together.

 

Critics argue that it’s naïve to talk about disarming and abolishing the police, citing the aggression and chaos we will supposedly unleash on each other without the violence of the thin blue line to keep us in check. But what’s truly naïve is to continue believing that an institution responsible for killing a thousand people every year is somehow keeping us safe.

 

Collective self-defense will not be easy, but it’s our only hope. It will mean organizing to prevent the violence of the far right—of those encouraged by Trump to shoot looters and by state governments to run over protestors. It will mean taking responsibility for developing new skills in conflict resolution and new structures for rapid response in times of crisis. The indications that Minneapolis gangs are organizing a truce to collaborate on protecting protestors from far-right violence are encouraging. We will need all of our courage and creativity to develop new approaches that value and protect all of us, rather than sacrificing millions of us to be caged or killed in order to secure the safety and property of some.

 

Delegitimize and disempower all the institutions that excuse police murder

 

One of the reasons why cops get away with murder so often is that the Supreme Court has interpreted laws to grant police “qualified immunity” for killing people—which has happened in over half of the cases that reached appellate courts in the past five years. Why should an unrepentant rapist and his cronies be in the position to authorize cops to kill us whenever they see fit? For that matter, why should they be able to determine whether we can have abortions, or how we can organize unions, or the limits of indigenous sovereignty, or anything else?

 

The persistence of police murder is just one of the risks we engender by relinquishing our power to nine black-robed figures. To ensure our freedom, we must take back our self-determination from the clutches of the courts.

I did the below post a while back and I think Q is using the same tactic. Q Team spins

Skateboarding legend Keith Hufnagel died this week, more than two years after he was diagnosed with brain cancer.

 

He was 46.

 

HUF Worldwide, the company founded by Hufnagel, released the following statement:

 

"We are absolutely heartbroken to deliver the news today that HUF founder Keith Hufnagel has passed away. Keith battled brain cancer for the past 2.5 years. And though he beat the odds and fought back much longer than his diagnosis permitted, he ultimately and unfortunately lost the fight.

Former vice president Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed he did not speak with his son about business and recently claimed: “He didn’t know about it when the report shows that in fact, some bureaucrats were so concerned about Hunter Biden’s role that they had briefed him, that they had alerted the FBI,” explained Hemingway.

 

Additionally, “it did cause a problem during the Obama Administration that there was this conflict of interest. It was not dealt with and we again are still awaiting answers as to exactly all the problems that it caused.” Hemingway added, “We saw a lot of people in the media claim that this is old news which was an interesting approach to take, given that they hadn’t reported any of this news beforehand and some of it was truly breaking news such as the wire transfer between the Russian oligarch who was married to the former mayor of Moscow, $3.5 million to Hunter Biden.”

 

Finally, Hemingway says the question must be asked: “Why were people paying him so much money? What did they get out of it? U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s husband, University of California Regent Richard Blum, was named Thursday by the state auditor's office as one of the regents involved in an admissions scandal where UC wrongly admitted dozens of wealthy, mostly white students as favors to well-connected people.

 

Among those “inappropriately admitted” were a student whose family was friends with a member of the Board of Regents, the child of a major donor and an applicant who babysat for a colleague of a former admissions director, according to the report released Tuesday by the California State Auditor.

 

In one case, a regent unidentified in the audit sent an “inappropriate letter of support” directly to the UC Berkeley chancellor on behalf of a student with only a 26% chance of winning a spot off the wait list, despite the policy prohibiting efforts by regents to influence admissions decisions by going around the regular process. The applicant was admitted.

 

Auditor’s spokeswoman Margarita Fernandez confirmed to The Associated Press that Blum was the regent.

 

Blum told the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday that he’s done nothing wrong and that he’s used his clout to get friends and family into the elite public system for years.

 

“I did it a bunch of times,” Blum said, adding that he has never considered it a problem to write recommendation letters bypassing the traditional admissions process. A policy prohibiting such influence has been in place throughout Blum’s 18-year tenure on the Board of Regents, the newspaper reported.

 

Blum, a financier, told the Chronicle that “no one ever told me it was wrong.” He said he has sent letters of recommendation about friends and family to chancellors at multiple UC campuses since becoming a regent in 2002. “Wherever they were applying. Wherever they wanted to get in.” He recalled sending letters specifically to the chancellors at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC Irvine, but added: “almost everywhere.”

 

Regents Chair John Pérez issued a statement Thursday saying the “UC Board of Regents takes these matters very seriously, and any violations will be promptly and appropriately addressed.”

 

He said that UC’s ethics and audit compliance office is reviewing the information “to determine whether the alleged conduct violates” the regents policy, in place since 1996.

The audit examined admissions policies and practices over the six academic years from 2013-2014 to 2018-2019 at four of the UC’s nine campuses — UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara.

 

It was requested last year by state Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner Horvath in response to the national college admissions scandal, which embroiled prestigious universities nationwide, athletic coaches and dozens of wealthy parents.

US Attorney John Durham is investigating how the FBI handled their investigation of bribery and pay-to-play allegations against the Clinton Foundation. Notably, former FBI Director James Comey's family supported Clinton in the 2016 US election, while the wife of his #2, Andrew McCabe, received roughly $700,000 from Clinton allies in her failed bid for Virginia state office - all while the FBI was handling the Clinton Foundation investigation. In a Thursday report by the New York Times that mounts a robust, editorialized defense of Clintonworld ('Durham's probe is politically charged' - 'Durham is chasing down conspiracy theories,' etc) - we learn that Durham has sought documents and interviews about how the FBI handled allegations of political corruption at the Clinton Foundation. Recall that nothing ever came of revelations that the Hillary Clinton-led State Department authorized $151 billion in Pentagon-brokered deals to 16 countries that donated to the Clinton Foundation - a 145% increase in completed sales to those nations over the same time frame during the Bush administration, according to IBTimes. American defense contractors also donated to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state and in some cases made personal payments to Bill Clinton for speaking engagements. Such firms and their subsidiaries were listed as contractors in $163 billion worth of Pentagon-negotiated deals that were authorized by the Clinton State Department between 2009 and 2012. -IBTimes

 

Then there was that $1 million check Qatar reportedly gave Bill Clinton for his birthday in 2012, which the charity confirmed it accepted. Coincidentally, we're sure, Qatar was one of the countries which gained State Department clearance to buy US weapons while Clinton was Secretary of State, "even as the department signaled them out of a range of alleged ills," according to IBTimes. Then there was $145 million donated to the Foundation from parties linked to the Uranium One deal prior to its approval through a rubber-stamp committee. “The committee almost never met, and when it deliberated it was usually at a fairly low bureaucratic level,” Richard Perle said. Perle, who has worked for the Reagan, Clinton and both Bush administrations added, “I think it’s a bit of a joke.” –CBS The Clinton Foundation, meanwhile, told the NY Times that it "has regularly been subjected to baseless, politically motivated allegations, and time after time these allegations have been proven false." Oddly, however, donations to the foundation plummeted 90% after Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election - which would be odd if it wasn't a pay-for-play enterprise.

 

And according to Clinton Foundation whistleblowers, the organization "operated as an unregistered foreign agent." The Clinton Foundation operated as a foreign agent ‘early in its life’ and ‘throughout it’s existence’ and did not operate as a 501c3 charitable foundation as required, and is not entitled to its status as a nonprofit, alleged two highly qualified forensic investigators, accompanied by three other investigators, said in explosive testimony Thursday to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Doyle and Moynihan have amassed 6,000 documents in their nearly two-year investigation through their private firm MDA Analytics LLC. The documents were turned over more than a year and a half ago to the IRS, according to John Solomon, who first published the report last week in The Hill. “The investigation clearly demonstrates that the foundation was not a charitable organization per se, but in point of fact was a closely held family partnership,” said Doyle, who formerly worked on Wall Street and has been involved with finance for the last ten years conducting investigations. “As such it was governed in a fashion in which it sought in large measure to advance the personal interests of its principals as detailed within the financial analysis of this submission and further confirmed within the supporting documentation and evidence section.”

INTRODUCTION

 

This memorandum sets out the context, program rationales, goals, achievements, lessons leamed, and anticipated

trajectory of future development for the Open Society Justice Initiative’s anticoruplion work, with an eye to

reappraisal and, as appropriate, re-adjustment of our strategy and work methods,

 

The Justice Initiative has sought to change the perceived general impunity for crimes of high-level corruption

Perpetrated by () senior polical officials and cronies in resource rich countries suffering from grievously unjust and

ineffective governance; (i) commercial aotors, particularly multinational companies operating in extractive industies;

and (il) banks and other legal and financial intermediaries and service providers, all of whom collude in high-level

bribery, money laundering and other corruption. The strategy over the years has been founded primarily on strategic

litigation ~ an effort to bring directly (where ‘standing’ permitted) or indirectly exemplary cases that would

demonstrate that accountability for these kinds of crimes is possible, and that national level law enforcement with

jurisdiction over such crimes has the duty and can muster the capacity to prosecute such conduct. Our cases, we

hoped, would show the appiicabilty of existing but perhaps untried legal remedies to acts of transnational corruption,

and the possiblity of developing new and effective remedies, where our experience revealed legal gaps. In the

process, we believed that public and media interest in such cases would help broaden understanding as to the

precise mechanisms used by individuals and institutions to perpetrate such corruption and to heighten publio outrage

at the social damage caused, contributing to development of popular constituencies and political wil to support the

prosecution of grand corruption,

 

From the beginning, we have broadly recognized the importance of developing supportive constituencies in order to

make headway in tightening the global web of anticorruption accountability. We first conceived of this in terms of

fostering and helping fo build a political ‘environment’ favorable to high-level anti-corruption cases. We were not so

clear, however, on who these constituencies should be, and where, or how, they should act. Our experience, and

limits in what our case-development has been able to achieve, have forcefully driven home to us the need for far

more ambitious and more deeply informed efforts in the sphere that we now characterize as “supportingfbuilding the

field."

 

At the same time, finaly, we have also come to view the intial focus on "natural resource-elated corruption’ as

somewhat artfcia: while the bulk of our attention continues to be directed toward coruption associated with

extractive industries, the same channels and mechanisms for managing illicit money flows ere used by actors

perpetrating a range of criminal acts, including other kinds of corruption, and, conversely, many of the same actors

engage in different kinds of corruption and other criminal activity, precisely because the tools and skills needed so

much overlap. We now propose the scope of the portiolio to cover highevel corruption, ‘particularly’ (but not

exclusively) with respect to natural resource extraction,

Secret Report: How CIA's Brennan Overruled Dissenting Analysts Who Concluded Russia Favored Hillary

Former CIA Director John Brennan personally edited a crucial section of the intelligence report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and assigned a political ally to take a lead role in writing it after career analysts disputed Brennan's take that Russian leader Vladimir Putin intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump clinch the White House, according to two senior U.S. intelligence officials who have seen classified materials detailing Brennan’s role in drafting the document.

 

The explosive conclusion Brennan inserted into the report was used to help justify continuing the Trump-Russia “collusion” investigation, which had been launched by the FBI in 2016. It was picked up after the election by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who in the end found no proof that Trump or his campaign conspired with Moscow.

 

The Obama administration publicly released a declassified version of the report — known as the "Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent Elections (ICA)” — just two weeks before Trump took office, casting a cloud of suspicion over his presidency. Democrats and national media have cited the report to suggest Russia influenced the 2016 outcome and warn that Putin is likely meddling again to reelect Trump.

 

The ICA is a key focus of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s ongoing investigation into the origins of the “collusion” probe. He wants to know if the intelligence findings were juiced for political purposes.

 

RealClearInvestigations has learned that one of the CIA operatives who helped Brennan draft the ICA, Andrea Kendall-Taylor, financially supported Hillary Clinton during the campaign and is a close colleague of Eric Ciaramella, identified last year by RCI as the Democratic national security “whistleblower" whose complaint led to Trump’s impeachment, ending in Senate acquittal in January.

The senior official who identified Kendall-Taylor said Brennan did not seek input from experts from CIA’s so-called Russia House, a department within Langley officially called the Center for Europe and Eurasia, before arriving at the conclusion that Putin meddled in the election to benefit Trump.

 

“It was not an intelligence assessment. It was not coordinated in the [intelligence] community or even with experts in Russia House,” the official said. "It was just a small group of people selected and driven by Brennan himself … and Brennan did the editing.”

 

The official noted that National Security Agency analysts also dissented from the conclusion that Putin personally sought to tilt the scale for Trump. One of only three agencies from the 17-agency intelligence community invited to participate in the ICA, the NSA had a lower level of confidence than the CIA and FBI, specifically on that bombshell conclusion.

 

The official said the NSA’s departure was significant because the agency monitors the communications of Russian officials overseas. Yet it could not corroborate Brennan’s preferred conclusion through its signals intelligence. Former NSA Director Michael Rogers, who has testified that the conclusion about Putin and Trump “didn’t have the same level of sourcing and the same level of multiple sources,” reportedly has been cooperating with Durham’s probe.

 

The second senior intelligence official, who has read a draft of the still-classified House Intelligence Committee review, confirmed that career intelligence analysts complained that the ICA was tightly controlled and manipulated by Brennan, who previously worked in the Obama White House.

 

“It wasn’t 17 agencies and it wasn’t even a dozen analysts from the three agencies who wrote the assessment," as has been widely reported in the media, he said. "It was just five officers of the CIA who wrote it, and Brennan hand-picked all five. And the lead writer was a good friend of Brennan’s.”

 

Brennan's tight control over the process of drafting the ICA belies public claims the assessment reflected the “consensus of the entire intelligence community.” His unilateral role also raises doubts about the objectivity of the intelligence.

 

In his defense, Brennan has pointed to a recent Senate Intelligence Committee report that found "no reason to dispute the Intelligence Community’s conclusions.”

Chinese Defense Ministry Slams Pentagon Chief Esper Over Digital Surveillance Claims

 

Previously, the US defense secretary claimed that China is “deploying” and “honing” its “surveillance apparatus” in order to support “targeted repressions” against certain ethnic group within the country.

 

Chinese authorities have stepped forward to address claims regarding the country's alleged activities in the field of digital surveillance that were made earlier this month by US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.

 

Speaking at the virtual Joint Artificial Intelligence Center symposium on 9 September, Esper argued that Beijing is "constructing a 21st-century surveillance state designed to wield unprecedented control over its own people", and that China is already "deploying" and "honing" its "surveillance apparatus to support the targeted repression of its Muslim Uighur population".

 

"As China scales this technology, we fully expect it to sell these capabilities abroad, enabling other autocratic governments to move toward a new era of digital authoritarianism", he said.

 

In response, Chinese Ministry of Defense's spokesman Senior Colonel Tan Kefei described these accusations as "false and groundless", adding that China "firmly opposes these statements and hopes the US will properly handle relations between the two militaries", as China Daily put it.

Qatar Eyes Normalisation With Israel in Exchange for Lifting of Gulf Boycott Against It, Source Says

 

Qatar is poised to seal a deal with Israel as early as next month, says a source involved in the talks, adding that when it happens, it will present a drastic change from the current position of Doha that right now negates the possibility of recognising the Jewish state without reaching a solution on the Palestinian front.

 

In a confidential talk with Sputnik, an anonymous source in the Gulf that's connected to the highest echelons of government in several countries, said Doha is now mulling over the option of normalising ties with Israel with the mediation of the US.

 

The revelation comes amid a barrage of criticism that has been directed at the United Arab Emirates for reaching an agreement with Israel; one of the loudest voices was that of Qatar.

 

"The State of Qatar affirmed its firm position on the Palestinian issue, which stipulates ending the Israeli occupation and establishing the State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital," said the country's foreign minister in a statement to Qatar News Agency, suggesting that a pact with the Jewish state was out of the question.

 

Apart from being vocal about the deal and its stance on the "Palestinian cause", Qatari media has also launched a massive media campaign aimed at de-legitimising the UAE and harming its stance on the international arena.

 

Speaking about the possible deal between Qatar and Israel, the source explained it might shape as early as next month, becoming a third Gulf state to ink an official deal with the Jewish state.
