Piłsudski's plan called for Polish forces to withdraw across the Vistula River and to defend the bridgeheads at Warsaw and on the Wieprz River while some 25% of the available divisions concentrated to the south for a strategic counteroffensive. re: Canadian Hospitals…

I'll add my experience as well. I tore my distal tendon on may long weekend. Went to hospital and it was basically empty. They put a big show on at the ER entrance all wearing heavy ppe as well as a police officer present…but there was no one there. Maybe 4 other people. Took 10 minutes to get in (wife wasn't allowed to stay in waiting room of course). Once I was in, a nurse took me ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOSPITAL - and she wasn't wearing a mask. They gave me a mask to wear but by this time I knew it was bs (compared to the china vids) so had it under my nose. She gave me shit for not wearing it correctly. Of course I said "you're not even wearing a mask at all" - she didn't care.

Anyways, in total I spent the whole day there and saw some crazies using antibacterials every 2 minutes, and others not even wearing masks. Place was empty. I was even able to wander around a bit - EMPTY. Was at the hospital 5 times (surgery and follow ups) and the place was bare bones empty every time. The doctors didn't even wear the masks except in the operating room.

Sheep are everywhere.

The problem I have is this: The lying about this pandemic is fucking epic. You cannot think anything other than how nefarious this whole thing must be when your government and so many others are willing to lie to push this narrative.

Thousands of teens tried to sabotage a Staten Island Republican rally last week by hoarding online tickets — just as they did to embarrass President Trump in Tulsa, Okla. in June.

But the GOP bamboozled them into pouring nearly $16,000 into party coffers instead.

On Sept. 19, out-of-staters using fake, frequently lewd names — including “Grabemby DePussay,” “Ivana Punchyou” and “F–kyou Trump” — began signing up online for the “TRiUMPh Rally,” a free get-out-the-vote event.

“We had about 1,500 RSVPs from Staten Islanders. Then all of a sudden we started seeing the numbers tick up to 10,000, 15,000, 75,000,” Staten Island GOP chairman Brendan Lantry told The Post. “We knew something was not right.”

Lantry’s wife Jessica, an avid TikTok user, soon traced the sign-ups to their source: a clip posted earlier that day by a 19-year-old from Brooklyn calling herself Felisrae.

“Do you hate this orange bitch as much as I do?” the teen asks in a 51-second video. “It turns out that Trump is having a rally in Staten Island.

“So what I did was, I reserved myself two seats. But I’m pretty sure that I have something to do that day,” she says gleefully. “So, do what you want with this information.”

The video rocketed around social media, racking up 523,000 views and 153,000 likes — and spurred scores of adults to spread the word.

“Register for this. I did,” Debbie Ingber Deutsch of Armonk, NY wrote on Facebook. “Let’s learn from Gen Z and Tulsa!”

“Order them so their numbers will be way off and they’ll expect more people,” explained Twitter user Earth Angel from Cheshire, Conn.

As in Tulsa, the trolls’ goal was to snatch up as many tickets as possible, so that the event would become a sea of no-shows. Trump foes — led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — preened when the president’s first post-lockdown campaign rally in June was an attendance bust.

“You just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/fake ticket reservations,” AOC tweeted. “Y’all make me so proud.”

To deter the troublemakers, Lantry added a nonrefundable $5 fee to the online sign-up form.

• “But they kept coming,” Lantry said. “From Colorado and California and Chicago and Houston, all over the country.”

• Multiple “Ruth Ginsbergs” — from Salisbury, Md., and Greensboro, N.C. — gladly paid for their ducats.

• By the time the Oct. 3 rally began in a commercial parking lot on the South Shore, the Trump-haters had shelled out $15,785 to buy more than 3,000 vouchers they had no intention of using.

• “They hate this president so much that they’re willing to donate to the Republican Party to troll him,” Lantry said.

• And the thousands of Trump-hating no-shows were barely missed. No seats were provided at the open-air rally, and the event drew 2,500 locals, who filmed a get-well message for Trump as he recuperated from his bout with COVID-19.

• “Thank you, progressives, for helping us put on a successful rally,” Lantry said.

The campaign trail took Donald Trump Jr. to South Florida, where he appeared in an event one day before his father is set to hold a rally in Central Florida.

The president’s son and Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Jorge Masvidal joined other lawmakers in Miami on Sunday as part of the Fighters Against Socialism Bus Tour.

If, having had COVID19, POTUS is now immune and can't get it again and can't give it, that puts vaccinators in a bit of a bind. William Lloyd Garrison, one of the United States’ most important abolitionists, lived with a bounty on his head for much of his life. His newspaper, The Liberator, advocated for an immediate end to slavery, and he faced down a lynch mob more than once for his writing. One of his avid readers was a formerly enslaved person who went by the name of Frederick Douglass. “His paper took its place with me next to the bible,” Douglass wrote of The Liberator in his memoir.

The two met at an abolitionist meeting in 1841 after Douglass stood up and described to the white crowd what it was like to live as someone else’s property. It was a powerful address, though Douglass, only three years removed from slavery, was so nervous he later couldn’t remember what he had said. Garrison became his mentor, retaining Douglass as a representative of the Anti-Slavery Society, publishing Douglass’s work, encouraging his book and sending him around the country to speak about the evils of slavery.

But the two had a bitter falling out in 1847 over the United States Constitution. Garrison believed that the document was pro-slavery, “the formal expression of a corrupt bargain made at the founding of the country and that it was designed to protect slavery as a permanent feature of American life,” writes Christopher B. Daly in “Covering America: A Narrative History of a Nation’s Journalism.”

Douglass initially agreed. But by the time he published “My Bondage and My Freedom,” he had reconsidered, and believed that “the constitution of the United States not only contained no guarantees in favor of slavery, but, on the contrary, it is, in its letter and spirit, an anti-slavery instrument, demanding the abolition of slavery as a condition of its own existence, as the supreme law of the land.”

By then Douglass had his own newspaper, The North Star, and he began to advocate for political tactics to end slavery, something Garrison could not abide. In 1851, Garrison withdrew the American Anti-Slavery Society’s endorsement from Douglass’s paper. And then he went further: He denounced Douglass from the pages of The Liberator and did not speak to him for 20 years.

A white abolitionist tried to cancel Frederick Douglass, a formerly enslaved person, for disagreeing about whether America could ever free itself from racism.

Each is contributing to a powerful counternarrative and as a result, their Twitter followers and podcast downloads are exploding. In being anti-woke and having experienced being Black in America (though not all identify as “Black”), these public intellectuals scramble the racial lines of today’s debate, speaking up for many who are too afraid to voice their opinions – and facing down the mob on their behalf.

“If I get canceled,” Williams told me recently, “I’ll get canceled by a white anti-racist. I really believe that.”

It would be wrong to overstate the similarities between these thinkers. They are by no means a coherent group, and disagree about many, if not most, topics. Foster is an anarcho-libertarian. Williams has left-wing politics, and McWhorter identifies as a liberal. Valdary founded a start-up that offers a curriculum of character-building, spiritual solutions to overcoming adversity (Disclosure: I am on the board and she is a friend). Loury is more conservative, and Hughes is perhaps most famous for testifying before Congress against Reparations.

What unites them into an emerging and increasingly influential intelligentsia is their rejection of the racial essentialism they view as ascendant in our current moment – the idea that one must prioritize race over everything else to combat racism.

“Racial essentialism is very reductive and actually oppressive,” Valdary told me. “Ironically, it reduces us as individuals to our immutable characteristics, which is precisely what we were supposed to be fighting against.”

Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said the U.S. government has been hiding key details about UFOs for years.

“Why the federal government all these years has covered up, put brake pads on everything, stopped it, I think it’s very, very bad for our country,” Reid said in the new documentary “The Phenomenon” from director James Fox.

“Are you saying that there’s some evidence that still hasn’t seen the light of day?” asked Fox.

“I’m saying most of it hasn’t seen the light of day,” Reid replied.

The film examines the history of UFO sightings in the United States and abroad, including new details about the military-confirmed encounters off the coast involving U.S. Navy pilots. It also details a 1967 report in which an object appeared over a U.S. missile base at the same time 10 of the missiles became inoperative.

“If they had been called upon by the president to launch, they couldn’t have done it,” Reid said in the film.

Reid, who was among the lawmakers behind a classified but since-closed U.S. government UFO program, has become increasingly outspoken about the phenomena since leaving office. However, he stopped short of confirming evidence of other-worldly activity, writing in August on Twitter that he wants the issue studied and that “we must stick to science, not fairy tales about little green men.”

He repeated that point of view in the new film.

“Nobody has to agree why it’s there. But should we at least be spending some money to study all these phenomenon?” he asked. “The answer is ‘yes.’”

UFO expert Lee Speigel, a former HuffPost reporter, served as a co-writer and co-producer on the film, which he said took seven years to come to fruition.

“Whether you’re a UFO ‘believer’ or debunker, those in-between or still undecided, it’s important to present accurate information that potentially affects the national security of all nations and the safety of all citizens of our planet,” Spiegel said.

If they can't isolate the virus from the body - how do they sequence its RNA?

When I brought up this argument with a virologist, I got a bit of a scoff because "that is outdated and no one does that anymore." Effectively. That is - no one has actually gotten a vial of just water and the virus (or blood plasma and the virus - or some similar known background and the virus with no cells or other contaminants).

If you can't isolate the virus, then how do you sequence it?

The answer is that you test for the presence of certain peptide sequences in samples and use statistics to conjure up a virus from the data.

They haven't actually taken a bunch of these viruses and then busted them apart to read their code. They have just looked at the smear of RNA in tissue samples and then crafted an idea of what the virus code might be based on reactions and theories/observations about how viruses mutate.
