In what should have been a national headline, the exposure of the U.S. government’s involvement in trafficking aborted baby bodies is now even more newsworthy following Friday’s announcement from the White House. At President Biden’s direction, the Department of Health and Human Services reversed the Trump administration’s policy protecting preborn Americans from the callous dehumanization of organ harvesting and further desecration of their bodies in research disguised as “science.”

This sickening decision now gives license to our “best and brightest” government researchers and agencies, those in charge of steering the country towards medical breakthroughs and scientific progress, to use the skin, brains, and eyeballs of children in research that affects all of us and is funded by our money. For this very reason, we must know the full extent of how federal agencies traffic aborted baby body parts.

These top 10 shocking examples come from the latest emails uncovered by Judicial Watch’s FOIA request and recent investigations.

1. The FDA Paid $2,000 Per Baby

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration paid an estimated $2,000 per individual baby, at times adding up to $12,000 per box of harvested organs.

Email records confirm the FDA agreed to pre-pay Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR), likely the country’s largest fetal tissue trafficking firm, an estimated $2,000 for each aborted child, adding up to $12,000 per average box of tissue with shipping and packaging fees.

2. FDA Bought Organs of Dismembered Babies

The FDA bought organs like livers, brains, and eyeballs of dismembered babies for hundreds of dollars apiece, courtesy of ABR’s collusion with local Planned Parenthoods.

ABR fee schedules and pricing charts obtained during a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Investigation allow us to piece together how much a baby costs by body part, as if each child was a slaughtered animal sold in sections.

3. ABR Sold the Skin of a 21-Week-Old Down Syndrome Baby

FDA’s purchases were calculated according to ABR’s current “Fees for Services Schedule,” which maintained the same prices for all buyers. One procurement log records the sale of a 21-week old baby with Down Syndrome. This child’s limbs, organs, and skin were sold at hundreds of dollars apiece. ABR made $2,600 in total from the sale of this baby.

Whether or not the FDA itself purchased any of this tissue, the fact it entered a contract with a company that makes money off of selling the body parts of children with Down Syndrome is beyond inhumane.

It’s worth looking closely at this chart to see the level of dehumanization inflicted on this child. Each baby (“specimen”) is given a number (“No. xxx602”) and its individual body parts are sold to different customers. A 21-week old child who could have survived outside of the womb becomes just another statistic.

DOJ launching Louisville police investigation, second 'pattern or practice' probe under Biden

Garland announced a similar probe in Minneapolis last week

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that the Justice Department is launching an investigation into the Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government and the Louisville Police Department.

Garland said during a brief address Monday afternoon that the DOJ will be conducting a "pattern or practice" investigation into the Kentucky city's police, one year after Breonna Taylor died after being shot by a Louisville officer in her apartment who were executing a search warrant.

"It will determine whether LMPD engages in unconstitutional stops, searches and seizures, as well as whether the department unlawfully executes search warrants on private homes," Garland said.

The probe comes as Louisville has seen a surge of violent crime. According to police statistics, murders, rapes, and robberies were up more than 81% above the five-year averages in January and February. This followed a 2020 where police retirements and resignations were at a five-year high after Taylor's death. Approximately 15% of the police force left during that time.

Accompanied by newly-confirmed Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco and Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, Garland stated that the investigation will look into whether Lousiville police engage in "discriminatory conduct on the basis of race," as part of what will be a "comprehensive review" of the department's policies and practices.

This is the second such invesitgation that Garland will be announcing in the span of less than a week. On Wednesday, the attorney general announced a similar investigation of the Minneapolis Police Department following the murder conviction of former officer Derek Chauvin for the death of George Floyd.

Garland noted that the city of Louisville has already "taken some steps towards reform," including as part of a settlement with Taylor's family.

"We commend those measures and our investigation will take them into account," Garland said.

Similar probes were commonly used by the Obama administration, and as Garland noted when announcing the Minneapolis investigation have often resulted in consent decrees whereby police departments must comply with various measures to institute reforms regarding policies and practices.

The cities of Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore entered into consent decrees under the Obama administration following the deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray, respectively, despite neither situation resulting in police officers being found guilty of crimes. Chicago entered into a consent decree under the Trump administration in 2019.

LOS ANGLES (AP) — The parents of missing California college student Kristin Smart on Thursday sued the father of the man charged with killing their daughter nearly 25 years ago.

The lawsuit filed in San Luis Obispo County Superior Court said Smart’s body was buried in Ruben Flores’s backyard and he moved the body “under cover of darkness” to another location a few days after investigators searched his property in February 2020.

Ruben Flores, 80, pleaded not guilty to accessory after murder on Monday, and his son, Paul Flores, 44, pleaded not guilty to murder.

The father and son were arrested last week after investigators said they found “biological evidence” indicating Smart had been buried under Ruben Flores’ deck behind his home in nearby Arroyo Grande and was recently moved, according to a court document.

Department of Education is stalling complaints against race, sex segregation, critics say

"It's now been 638 days since I filed a simple, straightforward Title IX complaint" against female-only program, professor says.

When the University of Denver hosted race-based gatherings for students, faculty and staff "to process the outcome" of the November election, a student filed a complaint with the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.

Christi Collins got a quick response from an enforcement attorney in OCR's Denver office, and they scheduled a phone call. Then the attorney asked to postpone, and disappeared for two months. Their last contact was Feb. 22.

"At this time, OCR is evaluating your complaint, and I apologize for the delay and inconvenience," Lori Welker wrote in the email, one of several communications Collins shared with Just the News. "I will be in touch when we have completed the evaluation."

Two months later, it's still unclear what action, if any, OCR has taken with regard to Collins' complaint. The University of Denver, which is private, told Just the News it has "not been notified of any investigation by OCR or the Department of Education."

The department and OCR Denver office didn't respond to queries. Welker ignored questions from Just the News, saying the Denver query had been forwarded to the D.C. press office.

According to a professor who says he's filed hundreds of civil rights complaints against university programs restricted by race and sex, this is par for the course with the Denver office.

"The Denver OCR is a notoriously bad actor, much worse than any other regional office from my experience (and others)," University of Michigan-Flint economist Mark Perry wrote in an email to Just the News.

The American Enterprise Institute scholar shared his own correspondence with the Denver office and D.C. headquarters all the way through last week, regarding a complaint that's nearly two years old.

"It's now been 638 days (21.3 months or 1.72 years) since I filed a simple, straightforward Title IX complaint vs. the University of Utah on July 17, 2019, for a single, single-sex, female-only program called Hi-Girls Engineering Abilities Realized," Perry wrote to multiple OCR officials April 15.

Regarding the handling of Collins' complaint, filed in the lame-duck Trump administration, Perry doesn't think the switchover to the Biden administration is responsible for its pace.

Russian Reaction On NATO’s Decision To End Its Mission In Afghanistan

We bring to your attention a part of the briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, which concerns the NATO’s decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan. NATO’s decision to end its mission in Afghanistan

International media space is devoting substantial attention to ending NATO’s mission in Afghanistan. This topic was on the agenda for many years. As you remember, US presidents either withdrew or built up contingents there. We are now witnessing another stage of monitoring what is taking place.

We have noted NATO’s decision to withdraw its contingent from Afghanistan; this decision was announced following a similar statement made by Washington.

As we understand, the 20-year presence of NATO troops is ending in Afghanistan. Launched under the slogan of fighting Al Qaeda and the Taliban movement sheltering it, the military campaign evolved into state development efforts in this particular Asian country. Western analysts admit that the Alliance’s Afghan mission can be described as abortive. Although experts and journalists are entitled to their own opinion, we would like other analysts also to make their assessments. It would be important to hear a report about long-term efforts by the relevant contingents at the UN Security Council that had issued the relevant mandate.

According to the most modest estimates, after two decades of confrontation, the Taliban control over 50 percent of the country’s territory and continue armed struggle with the government of Afghanistan. According to UN data, despite Al Qaeda’s diminished potential, this terrorist organisation still has its cells in 11 Afghan provinces. In conditions of NATO’s military presence, Afghanistan accommodates ISIS, a new global terrorist threat that now has around 4,000 militants in the country. They regularly perpetrate terrorist attacks, including those carried out in Kabul.

A deplorable situation has taken shape in the sphere of drug fighting. During NATO’s presence in Afghanistan, the area under opium poppy plantations has expanded more than 20-fold, to reach 163,000 ha in 2019. Afghanistan accounts for over 80 percent of the global opiates market. According to UN data, 24 out of the country’s 34 provinces produce narcotic drugs.

Despite multi-billion injections that exceed US allocations for postwar European economic rehabilitation under the Marshall Plan, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan remains one of the poorest Asian countries, with one of the highest worldwide corruption levels; and at least 33 percent of the country’s economically active population is unemployed.

Billions of dollars, allocated for training the personnel of Afghan law enforcement agencies, have been squandered. Ten years into the infamous campaign, the United States was forced to admit that there is no military solution to the Afghan problems. Tens of thousands of civilians have been killed or crippled during this period of time. Many of them became victims of indiscriminate NATO attacks that the Alliance cynically describes as collateral damage (this is what they call people!), and tens of thousands more were forced to flee Afghanistan in search of a peaceful life. So far, Afghans comprise one of the largest refugee groups seeking asylum in Europe.

While leaving the country, the United States and other NATO members promised to continue supporting Afghan law enforcement and security agencies. It is a big question whether they will manage to accomplish this because, over a period of the past 20 years, the Alliance has failed to establish combat-ready local law enforcement agencies capable of independently defending the country and maintaining law and order there.

Per Nielsen Live+Same Day preliminary national numbers, an average of 9.85 million viewers tuned in on Sunday evening to watch a more intimate and stripped-down version of the Oscars in the midst of a pandemic. That’s a 58.3%, 13.75 million viewer drop-off from last year. The Academy’s third host-less show in a row scored a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 in the fast national ratings, a 64.2% dip from 2020.

For comparison, last year’s ceremony garnered a 5.3 rating in the key demographic and 23.6 million viewers per the night’s time-zone adjusted fast national charts. The Oscars in 2019 delivered a 7.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 29.6 million viewers. While up 12% from 2018, that viewership figure represented the second-smallest audience ever for an Academy Awards telecast at the time. 2018 delivered the previous smallest viewership tally with 26.5 million viewers.

Australian National Security Chief Urges Citizens to Protect ‘Precious Liberty’ Amid Row With China

Australia-China ties have been steadily worsening since PM Scott Morrison urged Beijing last year to allow an independent probe into the origins of the novel coronavirus, which was first registered in Wuhan, Hubei, in December 2019. It hit a raw nerve with the Chinese authorities at the time, leading to reciprocal economic sanctions.

Australian Home Affairs Secretary Michael Pezzullo said Australia should be ready for war amid ongoing tensions with China, and must do whatever it takes to protect “our precious liberty”.

“Today, as free nations again hear the beating drums and watch worryingly the militarisation of issues that we had, until recent years, thought unlikely to be catalysts for war, let us continue to search unceasingly for the chance for peace while bracing again, yet again, for the curse of war”, Pezzullo pointed out in his Anzac Day message on Sunday.

He admitted that waging wars might well be wrong, but “the greater folly is to wish away the curse by refusing to give it thought and attention, as if in so doing, war might leave us be, forgetting us perhaps”, as the minister put it, saying “the drums of war” sometimes beat faintly, and at times much louder.

Defence Minister Peter Dutton, for his part, drew the public’s attention to the military build-up in the Pacific, suggesting there is a “significant amount of (military) activity” there amid an “animosity” between Taiwan and China, with Beijing claiming the former is its territory under the "One China” policy.

According to Dutton, China has in recent time been clear about Taiwan:

“If you look at any of the rhetoric that is coming out of China, from spokesmen particularly in recent weeks and months in response to different suggestions that have been made, they have been very clear about that goal”, he told the ABC.

"For us, we want to make sure we continue to be a good neighbour in the region, that we work with our partners and with our allies, as nobody wants to see conflict between China and Taiwan or anywhere else".

According to a Newsweek report last week, Taiwan planned to launch one of its largest military drills, the annual Han Kuang exercise. Phase one of the exercise was supposed to include a computer simulation of a full-scale Chinese invasion, which Taiwan’s Armed Forces would train to resist. Phase two is reportedly scheduled for mid-July.

Aussie-Chinese Ties

Australia's relationship with China, its top trading partner, started to significantly deteriorate in April last year, when Prime Minister Scott Morrison called for an independent inquiry into the origins of the coronavirus, which was first registered in Wuhan in the country's Hubei province in December 2019.

Such calls enraged Beijing, which moved to slap arbitrary bans and tariffs on billions of dollars’ worth of Australian goods, including barley, wine, cotton, and others.

Foreign Minister Marise Payne announced last week that Victoria's Belt and Road Initiative agreement with Beijing had been cancelled under new foreign veto powers.

The Chinese Embassy in Australia responded shortly, expressing “strong displeasure and resolute opposition” to the politician’s announcement.

Supreme Court Rejects Republican Bid to Revive Trump’s ‘Public Charge’ Rule

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up a motion filed by Republican state attorneys general to resurrect former President Donald Trump’s “public charge” immigration rule that enabled new restrictions on immigrants who receive some form of government aid. The high court, in its order, left open the possibility for the attorneys general to try again at a later time, saying that the states can raise arguments before lower courts and return to the Supreme Court if needed. President Joe Biden’s administration formally rescinded the Trump-era rule last month, sparking the lawsuit from the attorneys general.

The court noted that on March 15, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) one a lower court’s “now-effective judgment to remove the challenged rule from the Code of Federal Regulations without going through notice and comment rulemaking” and that after “DHS had voluntarily dismissed its appeal, a group of States sought leave to intervene,” which was denied. The states—led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton—then sought relief in the courts and argued DHS prevented enforcement of the rule and insulated the lower court decision. Specifically, the officials earlier this year tried to intervene in a case in Illinois, where a district court judge had vacated the rule U.S.-wide, coming after the Biden administration had dropped its appeal of the ruling, which essentially allowed the “public charge” rule to expire. “The States also contend that DHS has rescinded the rule without following the requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act,” according to the Supreme Court’s unsigned order. “We deny the application, without prejudice to the States raising these and other arguments before the District Court, whether in a motion for intervention or otherwise.”

In March, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said that when the 2019 rule was rescinded, it “closed the book on the public charge rule.” Mayorkas said it would “have placed undue burdens on American families wishing to sponsor individuals lawfully immigrating to the U.S.,” adding that it’s part of a plan to implement reforms “that improve our immigration system and reduce unnecessary barriers to legal immigration.” Biden’s move to rescind the rule—among other rules, including halting construction of the U.S.-Mexico border wall and eliminating the “remain in Mexico” policy—has drawn sharp criticism from Republicans. They have argued that the orders and White House messaging on immigration has triggered a surge in illegal immigrants and created a humanitarian crisis. Biden and other top administration officials, however, said they are attempting to create more humane immigration policies and alleged that Trump left them with a broken system.

What is the Vaccine Confidence Project™?

Vaccine confidence concerns the belief that vaccination – and by extension the providers and range of private sector and political entities behind it – serves the best health interests of the public and its constituents. The Oxford English Dictionary defines confidence as “the mental attitude of trusting in or relying on a person or thing”. In light of that, we are not examining the well-studied domain of supply and access barriers to vaccination, but rather what is typically called the “demand” side of immunisation. However, our focus on confidence takes the “demand” rubric a step further than the more traditional notion of building demand through increasing knowledge and awareness of vaccines and immunisation to understanding what else drives confidence in vaccines, and the willingness to accept a vaccine, when supply, access and information are available. In other words, understanding vaccine confidence means understanding the more difficult belief-based, emotional, ideological and contextual factors whose influences often live outside an immunisation or even health programme but affect both confidence in and acceptance of vaccines.

VCP Mission

The purpose of the project is to monitor public confidence in immunisation programmes by building an information surveillance system for early detection of public concerns around vaccines; by applying a diagnostic tool to data collected to determine the risk level of public concerns in terms of their potential to disrupt vaccine programmes; and, finally, to provide analysis and guidance for early response and engagement with the public to ensure sustained confidence in vaccines and immunisation. This initiative also defines a Vaccine Confidence Index™ (VCI) as a tool for mapping confidence globally.

The VCI is a measure, based on a select number of factors identified from extensive analysis of areas of both low and high vaccine coverage. This index is useful for informing the design of immunisation programmes and strategies and understanding more explicitly where to target both human and financial resources, which will allow for more efficiency. The VCI is an important tool for routine immunisation as well as the introduction of new and underutilised vaccines. Further information is available on our research page.

Despite the historic success of immunisation in reducing the burden of childhood illness and death, episodes of public concerns and rumours around vaccines have occurred around the world, spreading quickly and sometimes seriously eroding public confidence in immunisation and ultimately leading to vaccine refusals and disease outbreaks.

Although reports of public concerns and questions around the safety and relevance of vaccines have been on the increase, aside from monitoring of adverse events following immunisation (AEFI), there is neither a systematic monitoring of broader public vaccine concerns nor a tool to assess risk levels of rumours and concerns to potential programme disruptions, vaccine refusals and potential disease outbreaks.

This project seeks to address these unmet needs and monitor public confidence in immunisation programs by listening for early signals of public distrust and questioning and providing risk analysis and guidance to engage the public early and pre-empting potential programme disruptions.

Supreme Court Seems Primed to Reverse Kamala Harris's Attack on Free Speech

On Monday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in the key First Amendment case Americans for Prosperity v. Rodriguez, which centers on the State of California’s requirement that nonprofit organizations disclose their donor information to the state. Back in 2015, then-Attorney General Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) demanded that two conservative nonprofits, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), hand over their donor lists. This demand threatened to reveal the identity of donors, potentially subjecting them to threats and harassment.

Legal representatives for AFP and TMLC said the Supreme Court justices’ questions and remarks suggested they are likely to strike down California’s requirement as an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment.

“The justices appreciated very well that membership and donations to an organization are protected by a right to privacy in association, not just a right to associate,” Kathleen Sullivan, legal counsel for Americans for Prosperity Foundation, said on a press call after the oral arguments on Monday.

She noted that the justices cited many friend-of-the-court briefs written by ideological opponents of AFP and TMLC that nonetheless support these conservative organization’s rights to donor anonymity. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) proved particularly noteworthy in this regard.

Many of the justices cited the key legal precedent NAACP v. Alabama (1958), in which the Supreme Court struck down Alabama’s order that the NAACP hand over a list of its members. Alabama issued this order during the era of segregation when the Ku Klux Klan held tremendous power in the state. The Court rightly upheld the NAACP’s organizational privacy.

“In particular, the justices seem to understand that what is not controversial today may be controversial tomorrow,” and that views that are now commonly-held were controversial in the past, Sullivan noted.

The justices also grasped the inherent “paradox” of requiring “an organization that is fearful that its donors may be chilled” to “come forward to the government and apply for an exemption.”

John Bursch, legal counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and a lawyer for TMLC, cited specific statements or questions that the justices made during oral arguments.

He noted that Justice Neil Gorsuch suggested that a ruling for California might allow the government to demand the addresses of donors that nonprofits use when they send out Christmas cards. Justice Brett Kavanaugh cited the fact that the ACLU, the NAACP, and HRC came forward in opposition to Kamala Harris’s donor disclosure mandate.

Justice Clarence “Thomas explained that the government used confidential census data information to locate Japanese citizens for internment,” Bursch noted. “Sotomayor noted that donors may not have faith in California” because the state had leaked the records of more than 1,700 donors.

14 Russians Targeted in UK’s New Anti-Corruption Sanctions

Earlier in the day, British foreign secretary Dominic Raab outlined updated UK policies pertaining to its fight against illegal schemes around the world.

A total of 14 Russian nationals have been targeted in Britain's new list of international anti-corruption sanctions, the Foreign Office announced on its website. The newly updated document also contains citizens of other countries, the ministry's website reads.

Among those who have been named are officials, businessmen, and bank owners who, as claimed by the UK Foreign Office, were involved in a corruption scheme which misappropriated $230 million of state property in December 2007.

Earlier on Monday, UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab outlined a number of rules to parliament with regards to international anti-corruption sanctions.

Essentially, London is set to wage a war against corruption schemes around the world by freezing the assets of those it considers to be involved in them, and banning the people concerned from entering the UK and channelling money through the country.

The foreign secretary vowed thereby to stop corrupt individuals using the UK as a safe haven for dirty money.

The global anti-corruption sanction list closely followed the global human rights sanctions regime introduced in July 2020, which has resulted in the UK imposing economic restrictions on 78 individuals and entities involved in what the UK sees as serious human rights violations, including those from Myanmar, Belarus, China and Russia.

After London added three Russian nationals and one unit of the Russian National Guard to the sanctions list over purported "egregious human rights violations" on 10 December, Moscow hit back saying it reserved the right to respond in kind, dubbing the move a political "demarche".

Supreme Court Takes Up Major NRA-Backed Gun Rights Case

The Supreme Court on Monday decided to take up a major, National Rifle Association (NRA)-backed lawsuit that challenges a New York law restricting an individual from carrying a concealed handgun in public. It has been more than 10 years since the Supreme Court weighed in on a significant case involving the Second Amendment, coming in the wake of President Joe Biden’s and top Democrats’ recent push for more gun-control initiatives including bans on so-called “ghost guns,” proposing models for “red flag” laws, and expanding and lengthening background checks. “The petition for a writ of certiorari is granted limited to the following question: Whether the State’s denial of petitioners’ applications for concealed-carry licenses for self-defense violated the Second Amendment,” reads a brief order from the high court on Monday.

Over the years, the NRA and other gun rights groups have criticized the Supreme Court for not taking up any major lawsuits relating to the Second Amendment. In 2008, the court said for the first time that the Second Amendment protects Americans’ rights to keep and bear arms for self-defense at home. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, considered possibly the most conservative justice, wrote several years ago that courts have engaged in a “general failure to afford the 2nd Amendment the respect due an enumerated constitutional right.” Going further, he wrote: “If a lower court treated another right so cavalierly, I have little doubt that this court would intervene … The 2nd Amendment is a disfavored right in this court.” Justice Brett Kavanaugh, after the court dismissed a gun case last term, wrote in early 2020 he hopes the court will take up a Second Amendment-related challenge in the near future, writing: “The Court should address that issue soon, perhaps in one of the several Second Amendment cases with petitions for certiorari now pending before the Court.”

On Monday, the NRA praised the court for taking up the legal challenge, describing it as a case that challenges “New York’s restrictive concealed-carry-licensing regime,” noting that it sets up the stage “for the Supreme Court to affirm what most states already hold as true, that there is an individual right to self-defense outside of the home.” The case, according to the gun rights group, challenges New York state’s requirement that applicants for pistol permits show “proper cause” to carry a gun, which they argue violates the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms. “The NRA believes that law-abiding citizens should not be required to prove they are in peril to receive the government’s permission to exercise this constitutionally protected right,” the group wrote, noting that if the Supreme Court rules favorably, it will “affect the laws in many states that currently restrict carrying a firearm outside the home.” Robert Nash and Brendan Koch, the two men who brought the lawsuit, both applied for licenses to carry handguns in New York state for self-defense but were denied. A district court later said that neither had proper cause to carry a handgun because they did not face “any special or unique danger to [their] life.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, wrote in a legal brief calling on the Supreme Court not to grant the case, saying the state law is consistent with prior rulings. James said that New York’s law was “supported by a centuries-old tradition of state and local measures regulating the carrying of firearms in public” and existed in the same essential form since 1913. “New York’s law directly advances the State’s compelling interests in protecting the public from gun violence,” she said. The court is expected to take up the case during the next term.

My roommate just made an appointment for the "vaccine". The guy is on a half-dozen different drugs because he is basically a mess from a grenade explosion (don't ask). I'm wondering what it will do to him. Sad thing is, he got a bad reaction from the regular flu vaccine over a year ago and he said that he wouldn't do it again. I guess he forgot about that.

No, I'm not going to try talking him out of it. Not after he called me a "conspiracy theorist" several months ago when I tried to explain that the virus is a hoax. China Applauds Return of NBA, Urges It to ‘Undertake Lobbying’ for China in U.S.

China’s state-run Global Times on Sunday touted the participation of the U.S. National Basketball Association (NBA) at China’s first International Consumer Products Expo, scheduled for May 7-10 in the city of Haikou. The Chinese paper suggested the NBA should “undertake a certain amount of lobbying within the U.S.” on Beijing’s behalf to repay its hosts for their generosity.

The Global Times said the event will give the NBA an opportunity to repair its relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) after Houston Rockets manager Daryl Morey expressed support for the Hong Kong democracy movement in 2019.

China’s state-run CCTV stopped carrying Houston Rockets games after Morey’s comments, the Chinese Basketball Association suspended cooperation with the team, and Chinese e-commerce giants blocked users from searching for Rockets merchandise. Morey stepped down as Rockets general manager in October 2020, prompting CCTV to warn that other American sports teams that “hurt the feelings of the Chinese people will have to pay a price” as well.

The Global Times quoted NBA players and officials sending clear signals they will do whatever it takes to avoid antagonizing the CCP and jeopardizing their Chinese income stream:

Yao Ming, president of the Chinese Basketball Association and NBA hall-of-famer, said on Saturday that communication is the key to resolving misunderstandings and biases.

“I think communication is the only way,” Yao said on Saturday in an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the ping-pong diplomacy that ultimately saw the Cold War-era rivalry thaw. Yao believed misunderstanding is simply natural as people live in different countries and regions. “But where it exists, it calls for us to have more platforms to communicate to break through misunderstandings.”

Adam Silver, commissioner of the NBA, also expressed similar expectations of relations between the league and its millions of fans in China, calling for deeper understanding.

“My personal feeling is when I look at the mission of the NBA, which is to improve people’s lives through basketball, I think continuing to operate in China is completely consistent with our mission,” Silver said in an interview with NBC earlier in April.

The Global Times obsessively compared these offers of cooperation from the NBA to “ping-pong diplomacy,” the ostensible thawing of U.S.-China relations in the 1970s through table tennis championships. The Chinese government sponsored a ceremony to commemorate ping-pong diplomacy and recommend it as a model for restoring relations between Washington and Beijing today.

Silver said in an April 8 radio interview that the NBA has a “complicated” relationship with China.

“Ultimately we’re an export business. We export American basketball to China, and I would say what comes with it is American culture as well, and that, you know, my personal feeling is when I look at the mission of the NBA, which is to improve people’s lives through basketball, I think continuing to operate in China is completely consistent with our mission,” Silver told SiriusXM host and Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzweski.

Silver persisted in believing basketball exports were a form of “soft power” that might someday liberalize authoritarian China.

“I also think frankly, the future of the world depends on these two superpowers, the U.S. and China figuring out a way to work with each other. It doesn’t mean we don’t speak up about what we see are, you know, things in China that are inconsistent with our values, you know, and that we don’t continue to support players’ ability to speak out on things that are important to them,” Silver added.

The triumphant Global Times editorial on Sunday suggests the CCP is not worried about the NBA exerting any “soft power,” or speaking up about China’s human rights abuses and creating any more “misunderstandings” that might threaten the NBA’s ability to export its very lucrative product to China’s politically controlled markets.

Special Operations Command Central now says a curious tweet on its official account was not a hack, as it initially reported on social media.

U.S. Special Operations Command Central “acknowledges a misleading post to our official Twitter account on April 24, 2021,” Army Maj. Tony Hoefler, a SOCCENT spokesman, told Military Times. “The post contained three words, “Afghanistan” “Islamic State,” in quotation marks. After review, it was determined our Twitter account was not hacked and a social media administrator inadvertently tweeted the words while conducting a search for current topical events.”

Hoefler said SOCCENT officials are now “reviewing our internal processes to refine our social media practices. No security breach took place and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.”

Saturday morning, however, SOCCENT took to Twitter to say its site had been hacked.

The SOCCENT Twitter flub was the latest in a series of military social media foibles.

In March, a tweet issued on the official page of the U.S. military command in charge of the nation’s nuclear arsenal had many on social media confused and concerned.

What did a tweet that read “;l;;gmlxzssaw,” mean? Had the account of the U.S. Strategic Command, headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base south of Omaha, been hacked?

Within 10 minutes of launch, the tweet drew at least 12,400 “likes,” 9,000 retweets and lots of snark and speculation, the Omaha World-Herald reported. A half-hour later, a follow-up tweet apologized for the confusion and advised followers to disregard the previous nonsensical tweet. Then the mystery tweet disappeared.

“Should we be ducking and covering now?” one person responded.

STRATCOM officials provided the answer a day later: The tweet came from a rogue toddler.

In a statement issued March 29, STRATCOM said the person who manages the command’s Twitter account was working from home when he briefly stepped away from his computer while the account was open. That’s when his child sat down to play on the keyboard and managed to hit “send.”

“Absolutely nothing nefarious occurred; i.e., no hacking of our Twitter account,” STRATCOM spokeswoman Karen Singer said in the statement.

Last October, an authorized user who had access to the Fort Bragg garrison Twitter account came forward as the person who sent sexually charged tweets, according to a statement from the North Carolina military post.

The statement reversed Fort Bragg’s earlier stance, when post officials said the garrison had “ruled out any malicious intent” by its public affairs officials and characterized the incident as a “hack,” possibly by someone who had guessed their password.

‘We’re Going To Destroy This System’: City Where A Black Man Was Fatally Shot Put Under State Of Emergency

The North Carolina city where a black man was fatally shot by officers during the execution of a search warrant Wednesday is under a state of emergency ahead of the release of bodycam footage, authorities announced.

Elizabeth City was put into a state of emergency Monday as the Pasquotank County Sheriff’s office is expected to release the bodycam footage showing the fatal police shooting of Andrew Brown Jr.

“It is also our understanding that numerous news media outlets have taken steps to secure a court order directing the Sheriff’s office to release those tapes,” the city said in a statement.

“City officials realize there may potentially be a period of civil unrest within the City following the public release of that footage.”

The state of emergency went into effect at 8:00 a.m. and will remain in effect until the city deems it “no longer necessary to protect our citizens from any such threat to their safety.”

The Elizabeth County Pasquotank Public Schools said the district will “operate on a full remote schedule for all students and staff through April 30, 2021.”

Pasquotank County Sheriff Tommy Wooten II said on Saturday he would file a motion in court as early as Monday to ask a local judge to release the video.

“Only a judge can release the video. That’s why I’ve asked the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation to confirm for me that the releasing of the video will not undermine their investigation,” Wooten said. “Once I get that confirmation, our county will file a motion in court, hopefully, Monday, to have the footage released.”

Brown’s family will review the footage Monday before its public release, according to WAVY 10.

Surveillance footage from Nov. 6 at a recycling station showed Gotthard moving a large barrel on a hand truck.

Investigators carried out extensive searches, including with trained dogs, but have been unable to locate the missing woman.

Three weeks after his wife’s disappearance, the priest was arrested in connection to the case.

Gotthard, who maintains his innocence, is being held in custody and is set to go on trial Oct. 25.

Texas man who produced thousands of images of child porn is sentenced

HOUSTON – A 41-year-old Houston-area man has been ordered to federal prison for 40 years after producing videos of his sexual abuse of a minor, possession of child pornography, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery.

Miguel Rivera pleaded guilty Oct. 30, 2020, to production, receipt and possession of child pornography.

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Charles Eskridge ordered him to serve a 480-month sentence. The court also heard additional information including a statement from the victim detailing how Rivera’s heinous acts affected her childhood and to this day. Court documents did not reveal the relation between the victim and Rivera.

Rivera will serve the rest of his life on supervised release following completion of his prison term, during which time he will have to comply with numerous requirements designed to restrict his access to children and the internet. He will also be ordered to register as a sex offender.

In June 2019, law enforcement located an IP address with a folder containing child pornography using a publicly available peer-to-peer file-sharing network. The IP address was linked to Rivera and his residence.

Forensic analysis resulted in the discovery of 56,250 images of child pornography on his electronic devices. Approximately 412 videos were over five minutes in length, the longest of which was nearly an hour.

Rivera also produced 3,200 images and over 160 videos of sexually abusing a minor while the child was unconscious.

He admitted he had been downloading child pornography for at least a decade.

Woman Swallowed by Python as She Checked on Her Cornfield

A woman in Indonesia was swallowed whole by a python as she checked on her corn fields last week. According to The Washington Post, citing the Jakarta Post, the woman's name was Wa Tiba and lived on Muna Island off the coast of Sulawesi. She left her home Thursday night to visit her cornfield about a half mile from her home.

Reticulated pythons are common in the area, but it was actually wild boars that Wa had been worried about initially because they'd be destroying her crops, according to the Jakarta Post's report.

When Wa didn't return, her sister went out to find her and found Wa's footprints, flashlight, slippers and machete. On Friday, 100 villagers from Persiapan Lawela searched the area and found a 23 foot-long snake with a very swollen belly.

The villagers killed the snake, cut it open and found Wa inside intact.

Pythons are the longest snake in the world and usually only eat smaller mammals. However, a similar incident happened last year to a farmer from the nearby village of Salubiro on Sulawesi Island, according to The Washington Post.

Former Law Enforcement Officer Sentenced to Over 18 Years in Federal Prison for Child Exploitation Offenses

Memphis, TN – Matthew Berry, 42, of Eads, Tennessee has been sentenced to 220 months in federal prison for child exploitation offenses. Acting United States Attorney, Joseph C. Murphy, Jr., announced the sentence today.

According to information presented in court, on June 25, 2019, an undercover operative with the Michigan City (Indiana) Police Department who was investigating child exploitation found a computer that was making child sexual abuse material (CSAM) available over the internet. Based on the IP address, the officer determined the computer was in the Western District of Tennessee and alerted the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force.

A search warrant was executed at the Bells, Tennessee, residence of Matthew Berry, who was at the time, a Crockett County Sheriff’s Deputy. Berry admitted to investigators that he had been obtaining and viewing child sexual abuse material for "a long time." Forensic examination of Berry’s digital devices confirmed that Berry had been seeking out CSAM since at least 2002. The investigation also revealed that Berry surreptitiously took photographs of the buttocks of females (adults and minors) in public places and had a sexual relationship with a minor during his time as a law enforcement officer. Berry previously worked as an officer in Halls, Ripley, Maury City, and Brownsville.

The FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Crockett County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan City (Indiana) Police Department investigated this case.

On April 23, 2021, Chief U.S. District Judge S. Thomas Anderson sentenced Berry to 220 months in federal prison to be followed by five years’ supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Debra L. Ireland prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

Convicted Sex Offender Sentenced To Nearly 20 Years For Possessing Images And Videos Depicting The Sexual Abuse Of Children

Ocala, Florida – Senior United States District Judge John Antoon II has sentenced Terry George Zimmerman (73, Lady Lake) to 19 years and 7 months in federal prison for possessing materials depicting the sexual exploitation of children. Zimmerman was also sentenced to a life term of supervision, ordered to register as a sex offender, and must pay $21,000 in restitution to identified child victims.

A federal jury had found Zimmerman guilty on November 19, 2020.

According to testimony and evidence presented at trial, officers from the Lady Lake Police Department executed a search warrant at Zimmerman’s residence and seized several of his computers and other electronic devices. During a subsequent forensic examination of the devices, agents from Homeland Security Investigations recovered from Zimmerman’s 2 computers and 12 USB drives nearly 2,400 images and over 300 videos depicting young children being sexually abused and tortured.

Prior to this offense, in 1995, Zimmerman was convicted as a sex offender in federal court in New York for possessing child pornography.

“It is a travesty when a previously convicted federal sex offender commits the same crime,” said HSI Orlando Assistant Special Agent in Charge David Pezzutti. “But thanks to our HSI special agents, the Lady Lake Police Department, and the Ocala Police Department, he will now return to prison, making our local communities a safer place.”

This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, the Lady Lake Police Department, and the City of Ocala Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Michael P. Felicetta and Tyrie K. Boyer.

This is another case brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. China has responded to comments by Defence Minister Peter Dutton, saying adherence to its "One China" policy is a "prerequisite" for the development of Australia-China relations.

At a daily news briefing, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said China sought "peaceful reunification," and urged Australia to "fully understand the high sensitivity of the Taiwan issue".

The Chinese government regards Taiwan as a renegade province that should be united with mainland China.

"We hope that Australia will fully understand the high sensitivity of the Taiwan issue, adhere to the One China principle, be cautious in its words and actions, refrain from sending any wrong signals to the secessionist forces of Taiwan independence," Mr Wang said.

Mr Wang also called on Canberra to "stop interfering with normal exchanges and cooperation between the two countries," as Mr Dutton warned of further acts on China-related deals.

Foreign Minister Marise Payne is reviewing more than a 1,000 China-related deals, including a 99-year lease on the Port of Darwin.

"If it's not in our national interest, then obviously she'll act," Mr Dutton said.

Australia cancelled two infrastructure deals negotiated with China by the Victorian government last week , adding to strains in relations that are at a multi-decade low after Beijing blocked imports of coal and other goods from Australia in retaliation for its call to investigate the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

Separately, in an Anzac Day message to staff, one of Australia's most powerful national security figures warned that free nations "again hear the beating drums of war" as military tensions rise in the Indo-Pacific.

Home Affairs Department Secretary Mike Pezzullo warned that the nation must strive to reduce the likelihood of war, but be prepared to "send off, yet again, our warriors to fight".

Mr Pezzullo is expected to follow Mr Dutton from Home Affairs to the Department of Defence.

Convicted Felon Sentenced To More Than 11 Years For Possessing Pictures And Movies Depicting The Sexual Abuse Of Children And For Unlawful Possession Of A Firearm

Jacksonville, Florida – U.S. District Judge Brian J. Davis has sentenced Michael John Jordan (39, Jacksonville) to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison for possessing child sexual abuse images and videos and for possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon. The court also ordered Jordan to serve a lifetime term of supervised release and forfeit 22 electronic devices, a shotgun, and ammunition. He must also to register as a sex offender. As part of his sentence, Jordan was ordered to pay $17,000 in restitution to several child victims.

Jordan had pleaded guilty on February 19, 2020.

According to court documents, the investigation began in September 2018 through CyberTip reports sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving the upload of illegal content received from several electronic service providers. Further investigation revealed that Jordan was the source of the uploads referenced in the CyberTip reports, and that he had used multiple different platforms to share material depicting the abuse of children. On February 20, 2019, agents from Homeland Security Investigations, with assistance from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Jordan’s home and seized several dozen electronic devices. Forensic analysis of these devices revealed more than 1,000 images and videos of child pornography, some of which depicted the sexual assault of infants and toddlers. Jordan had used sophisticated encryption techniques to conceal his internet trafficking of child sexual abuse material, including layered security measures and elaborate password protection.

During the search of Jordan’s residence, agents recovered a loaded 12-gauge pistol-grip firearm. In 2014, Jordan was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is therefore prohibited from possessing firearms.

“This convicted felon obviously did not learn his lesson the first time,” said HSI Jacksonville Assistant Special Agent in Charge K. Jim Phillips. “thanks to HSI special agents, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, he will be returning to prison for a second time, this time for possession of child pornography and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.”

This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kelly S. Karase.

South Philadelphia Drug Trafficking Ringleader Sentenced to Nearly 20 Years in Prison

For Nearly Two Years His 10-Member Drug Gang Sold Massive Amounts of Narcotics in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Basil Bey, 31, of Philadelphia, PA, was sentenced to 19.5 years in prison, and six years of supervised release by United States District Judge Gerald A. McHugh for conspiring to distribute heroin and crack cocaine, and distributing heroin and crack cocaine, including near a playground.

Bey’s sentence comes after a jury returned guilty verdicts in December 2017 against Bey and three of his co-conspirators, all from Philadelphia, who have already been sentenced for their roles in the conspiracy: Reginald White, 34, was sentenced to 17.5 years, Tyrik Upchurch, 33, was sentenced to 18 years and seven months; and Amin Wadley, 29, was sentenced to 15.5 years. Six other defendants, also all from Philadelphia, previously pleaded guilty and were sentenced by Judge McHugh for their roles in the conspiracy: Sidney Cornish, 31; Dassan Cornish, 29; Jerome Lyles, 36; Rhasul Lucas, 32; Jihad Thorne, 24; and Quaadir Crawford, 32.

As presented at trial, from at least April 2015 through December 2016, Bey was the leader of a narcotics trafficking organization that sold heroin (including fentanyl-laced heroin) and crack cocaine nearly 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to buyers in South Philadelphia. The group, which included White, Upchurch, Wadley, Sidney and Dassan Cornish, Lyles, Lucas, Thorne, and Crawford as members, sold and delivered narcotics in shifts in order to serve customers day and night. Bey, Upchurch, and Wadley also maintained residences around Philadelphia in order to store and package the narcotics for distribution. Due to the dedicated efforts of law enforcement in this case, approximately thirty-five controlled purchases of heroin and/or crack were made from this drug group—all captured on video. Law enforcement also lawfully obtained a wiretap that captured some of the group’s cell phone activity.

“Drug trafficking is an insidious activity that destroys and demoralizes neighborhoods,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Williams. “Basil Bey was an expert at it, a career criminal committed to living a life of crime, and now he will pay the price by spending decades in prison. This is the just punishment that awaits drug dealers facing federal charges.”

“The FBI is committed to keeping communities safe from predators like Basil Bey and the members of his drug trafficking organization,” said Michael J. Driscoll, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Philadelphia Division. “Bey’s actions and that of his co-conspirators are particularly heinous given that they trafficked in dangerous narcotics made even more lethal as they were laced with fentanyl. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Philadelphia Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Jason Bologna and Kevin Jayne.

Member of Violent Robbery Crew Sentenced to More Than 18 Years in Prison

CHICAGO — A man has been sentenced to more than 18 years in federal prison for participating in a violent robbery crew that targeted cell phone stores in the Chicago area and downstate.

ANTONIO EDWARDS and two co-defendants engaged in a conspiracy to rob a series of cell phone stores in 2017. The crew conducted takeover-style robberies in which two or three robbers would enter a store and order employees to the back of the store at gunpoint. The robbers then loaded phones into bags and fled the store. Edwards personally participated in three of the heists – in Chicago, Waukegan, and Bradley – and he brandished a gun during the Waukegan and Bradley robberies.

Edwards, 26, of Chicago, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and robbery charges, and a jury convicted him after a trial on charges of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. U.S. District Judge Elaine E. Bucklo on Friday imposed a prison sentence of 18 years and eight months.

The sentence was announced by John R. Lausch, Jr., United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois; and Emmerson Buie, Jr., Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Office of the FBI. Valuable assistance was provided by police departments in Chicago, Waukegan, Bradley, Mount Prospect, North Aurora, Skokie, and Homewood. The government was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Aaron R. Bond and Kristen Totten.

Two other members of the robbery crew – ANDREW MCHANEY, 29, of Chicago, and JAMES BATES, 60, of Chicago – previously pleaded guilty and were sentenced to federal prison terms of more than 14 years and more than eight years, respectively.

An Arizona reporter is under fire for suggesting Republicans are Nazis.

Brahm Resnik,a reporter for 12 News, reacted to a post by the Arizona Republican Party that showed a river with the caption “We’re All In This Together” and the share line: “One people. One land. One Arizona.”

According to his bio, Resnik covers local, state, and national politics and government for 12 News, an affiliate for NBC.

Dr. Kelli Ward, chairwoman of the Arizona GOP, said Resnik had smeared Republicans.

“Millions of good, honest Arizonans have been sadly caught up in a disgusting smear by Brahm Resnik of @12news. Reporters are supposed to report, NOT create news!” she wrote on Twitter on Aug. 12.

“Many people (phones ringing off the hook) demanding he apologize.”

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) also called for action to be taken.

“Brahm’s hateful rhetoric should not be tolerated. He could incite violence. I propose a Twitter and Facebook ban for him only to be lifted when #LauraLoomerForCongress is returned to social media,” he said, referring to how Loomer, a Congressional candidate who was previously banned from the social media platforms, hasn’t been allowed to come back.

According to the Arizona Daily Independent, 12 News has not addressed Resnik’s tweet.

“If they don’t comment it means they fully support his hateful rhetoric. At least that’s what @12News says if Trump or Ducey or any Republican doesn’t immediately condemn the latest most urgent pressing daily controversy on which they are reporting,” Gosar wrote.

5-year NSW Police investigation into Hillsong’s Brian Houston covering up for his paedophile father continues. Why 5 years?

After 5 years the NSW police told me on Friday (23-4-21) that they are still investigating Brian Houston for the cover-up of his father’s sexual abuse of children and on Tuesday Prime Minister Scott Morrison was on stage on the Gold Coast, with 2 of Brian Houston’s alleged accomplices, helping promote the fraud scam that is known as Pentecostal Churches. It is disturbing that none of the old media reported Scott Morrison’s trip to the Gold Coast on Tuesday even though it was apparently paid for by taxpayers.

Scott Morrison has been lying about his knowledge of the police investigation into Brian Houston since at least 2019 and denied in an interview in March 2020 that he knew that Brian Houston was under police investigation when he tried to take Houston to the White House on a government visit in September 2019. But how does Scott Morrison justify being on stage this week with 2 of Brian Houston’s alleged accomplices? Does Scott Morrison claim to still know nothing?

The background:

The NSW Police have been investigating Brian Houston since 2016 which means they have been investigating for at least 5 years and it is a blatant police cover-up on the instructions of NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller. The police stopped the investigation for a while but in November 2018 they started investigating again after a 60 Minutes report on Channel 9 embarrassed the police so the police said they had new evidence and re-opened the investigation which has never gone anywhere.

I have been reporting this matter for a few years and the longer it goes on the more blatant the cover-up by the NSW Police becomes which is now at least in part to protect Prime Minister Scott Morrison although the cover-up started before he was Prime Minister.

In July 2019 I wrote in an article and said:

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife were on stage leading prayers in front of 21,000 people on Tuesday night (9/7/19) with the Hillsong Church’s Brian Houston who is still under investigation by the NSW police for concealing the sexual abuse of children by his father Frank Houston.

In 2014 while giving evidence at The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse Brian Houston admitted he knew his father had abused children and he had failed to report it to the police so it is not a fact that is in dispute or a fact that Scott Morrison wouldn’t know.

There are many reasons, which I outline below, why Scott Morrison should have never been on stage with paedophile protector Brian Houston who is under investigation by the NSW police.

I emailed questions to the Prime Minister as per below but he has refused to answer but the NSW police did respond to my email (as below) on Wednesday (10/7/19) and confirmed that they are still investigating Brian Houston which was first reported by the media in November 2018 by Channel 9. Why didn’t Nine follow up with the police as I did? Maybe it is because Nine’s Chairman is former federal treasurer Peter Costello who is also a mentor to Scott Morrison and who has also led prayers at the Hillsong annual conference. Proof That Twitter's Censorship Of Big-Pharma Critics Is A Global Phenomenon

Twitter’s censorship of anti-globalist content is global and not limited to the United States. This article chronicles Twitter’s blatant censorship in India. Technocracy’s coup d’etat is global and intends to control the entire population of the earth. ⁃ TN Editor

On Saturday, Twitter admitted that it is actively working with the Indian government to censor criticism of its handling of the pandemic as the number of cases and deaths continues to skyrocket. There are widespread reports that the Indian government has misrepresented the number of deaths and the true rate of cases could be as much as 30 times higher than reported. The country has a shortage of beds, oxygen, and other essentials due to a failure to adequately prepare for a new surge. Not surprisingly, the Indian government has moved to crackdown on criticism. This included a call to Twitter to censor such information and Twitter has, of course, complied. With the support of many Democratic leaders in the United States, Twitter now regularly censors viewpoints in the United States and India had no trouble in enlisting it to crackdown on those raising the alarm over the government handling of the crisis.

Buried in an Associated Press story on the raging pandemic and failures of the Indian government are these two lines:

“On Saturday, Twitter complied with the government’s request and prevented people in India from viewing more than 50 tweets that appeared to criticize the administration’s handling of the pandemic. The targeted posts include tweets from opposition ministers critical of Modi, journalists and ordinary Indians.”

The article quotes Twitter as saying that it had the power to “withhold access to the content in India only” if the company determined the content to be “illegal in a particular jurisdiction.” Thus, criticism of the government in this context is illegal so Twitter has agreed to become an arm of the government in censoring information.

Keep in mind that that some of this information could be true and actually protect lives. It is not “fake news” but efforts by journalists and others to disclose failures by the government that could cost hundreds of thousands of lives. Twitter’s policy states:

Content that is demonstrably false or misleading and may lead to significant risk of harm (such as increased exposure to the virus, or adverse effects on public health systems) may not be shared on Twitter. This includes sharing content that may mislead people about the nature of the COVID-19 virus; the efficacy and/or safety of preventative measures, treatments, or other precautions to mitigate or treat the disease; official regulations, restrictions, or exemptions pertaining to health advisories; or the prevalence of the virus or risk of infection or death associated with COVID-19. In addition, we may label Tweets which share misleading information about COVID-19 to reduce their spread and provide additional context.

So maybe it’s not so difficult to understand why there seem to be such a large percentage of Jewish TV newscasters. On cable and network news, we’ve spent many hours with the inquiring minds of Mike Wallace, Ted Koppel, Barbara Walters, Larry King, Andrea Mitchell, Wolf Blitzer and Jon Stewart.

In Arizona alone we currently play host to three prominent TV newsmen: Mark Curtis andBrahm Resnikat Channel 12, KPNX, in Phoenix; and Matthew Schwartz, investigative reporter on Channel 4, KVOA, in Tucson. Each of the three grew up sitting at seder tables and hearing the Four Questions, the epitome of the process of asking questions to become better informed, to better understand. So maybe it’s no coincidence that’s what they do today in their jobs in the news. Well, at least it couldn’t hurt!

Brahm Resnik

Brahm Resnik is a news reporter and substitute anchor as well as the moderator of “12 News Sunday Square Off,” a popular political talk show that airs at 8 am Sunday mornings on KPNX. Brahm was born and raised in Cote St. Luc, a nearly all-Jewish section diversity for thee of Montreal, Canada. “It was virtually a Jewish ghetto,” he comments, “but in a good way!” One of five children, hehails from Russian roots and grew up in a Conservative household. His family has always been involved in the Jewish community. His father was in the underground in Russia during World War II. “His story is chronicled in the movie ‘Defiance,’ ” Brahm says. One of his brothers was a paratrooper in the Israeli Army during the Yom Kippur War. His mother ran the Yiddishkeit group “Mama Loshen” (Mother Tongue) in Montreal for many years.

Brahm was at McGill University where he earned his bachelor’s degree when he met his wife-to-be Wendy, who had come from Virginia. She followed him to Northwestern, where he earned his master’s degree in journalism, and they were married in the Shakespeare Garden on the Northwestern campus. “It was the perfect setting,” he says. “The garden is filled with every flower and plant mentioned in Shakespeare’s fol

io and the main bough wraps around in a semi-circle to make you feel enveloped and warm. That’s where we put the chuppah.”

Brahm began his professional life in print journalism, and he and Wendy soon moved to Milwaukee, where their sons were born. “Milwaukee has a great Jewish community, but you still have to shovel snow,” he remarks. In 2000 there was an opening at the Arizona Republic for a business editor, and Brahm snagged the position. Within five months, the Republic was sold to Gannett. Since Gannett also owns Channel 12, there were suddenly additional opportunities. His mother and brother had been encouraging him for some time to give broadcast journalism a try, so without any previous experience, he summoned his courage and auditioned for an opening on TV. With his comfortable on-air presence, resonant voice and sincere smile, he won the position. “It’s like learning golf in front of 100,000 people,” he grins. “I still struggle with golf, but feel I’m getting the hang of being on TV! You make your mistakes, learn from them and move on.”

Brahm finds moderating the “Sunday Square Off ” to be both challenging and exciting. He has the ability to request the guests he wants, and he writes his own tough questions. “I pay attention to detail to try to devise just the right question, to make sure we hold our leaders accountable. I don’t lean one way or the other in my questioning, but leave it to the viewer to determine if ‘what they say is what they’ve done,’ based on their actual record.”

Right, I have been slapped around for a while in full confrontation with my faith.

Its been a long journey, fought the full force of the dark head on for a year now. Its crushed me at times.. You wouldnt understand if you didn't fill my shoes. God bless whoever conqueres in 15days.

I stopped going to the doc ect, descided to leave my faith entirely up to god. Im no longer putting away, my love for god have grown to a point i can no longer bear seperation. Despite the fact they paved their way with me and idk what state i can even call myself in rn. Maybe im fed up/going splatt: w/e. Im going to god one way or the other.

Maybe this is a ramble, maybe im stupid placing my stakes like this especially now that they paved their way but w/e i think id rather take a leap of faith. Im close now, ironically almost liberation day in Norway and its full moon tonight. Things have never really looked this dark and light at the same time. Im going home. There was a giant red iris eye cloud in the sky yesterday looking in my window. Tought i was about to die but i was really at more peace then i ever was same time.

L was a story, a truley intresting one if you meet the devil one day. The last couple months of L was in pure darkness. It is a great distraction, at the same time the best way i could depict the Journey. I found no litterature on it except from gatekeepers and thats cool but impersonal and not so "live" or "in it" as L. I hope someone will find peace in it you are not alone, not one single moment. When you find out who Q really is you will meet me. I light be on the other side tho but i will be near you if you wish me to..

2020 was the year the spiritual earth plane went from dark to light and it happened fast, i think L excisted just to tell the story. I had a front seat but will rarely talk about it. I guess ill do it like the gatekeepers if any.. Sometime in the future maybe everyone will. After all atleast 25% of humanity woke up in one swoop just like that. We did it anons. Thank you team Trump you were amasing.

His sons Max and Jack nod their heads when they watch him ask those tough questions – they’re used to them! The boys each became a bar mitzvah through Temple Emanuel in the East Valley. Max was active in the Arizona Jewish Theatre Company’s youth program, and Jack stayed Jewishly involved through TETY, the Emanuel chapter of the Nationa Federation of Temple Youth, the national Reform teen program. He also volunteers at Camp Swift. Wendy works at the Phoenix public library system, where she is currently the Youth Services Coordinator at the Burton Barr main branch in downtown Phoenix.

One of Brahm’s recent proud moments was last summer when he became a U.S. citizen. He has mastered the pronunciation of “out” pretty well, but says he still has to stop and think about “project” and even “taco” as they are pronounced differently north of the border.

The final “tough” question put to Brahm: Where did the name Brahm come from? It doesn’t sound very Jewish. “Aha!,” he laughs. “My grandfather wanted me to be named after his brother-in-law, Abie. He wouldn’t allow ‘Anthony,’ my mother’s first choice – too Italian. My mother said she wouldn’t name me Abie, nor would she agree to Abraham, but from that came Brahm. My Hebrew name is Avraham. The funny thing is that one year when I went to camp, there were four Brahms there! The other three were Glickman, Weinstein and Schekman!
