Li Guohua, formerly general manager of China Unicom, is suspected of severe violations of discipline and law

China Unicom, or China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd., is one of the world's biggest mobile phone carriers and also operates fixed-line internet and digital TV services. I'm watching it too (late night on Friday, the link was there, don't hold it against me) and now he's interviewing a woman who works in the San Francisco DA office about the lawlessness and lack of prosecution of crimes in San Fran. This is ridiculous. Nothing new under the sun. It's all been done before. Just like in Rev, to know the end you must know the beginning. Rev to Gen at the end of each earth age. I think we are in the 6th earth age. The 7th will be Christ's reign.

I did find it interesting that the book of Esther is the only book that does not meantion god. Looks like the path this government is leading everyone down leads to desrtuction and suffering. The system is so corrupted it's ridiculous. Even the most faithful are struggling to find peace. Study finds heart inflammation risk 133x greater for teenage boys after Pfizerโ€™s COVID shot

 

Pfizerโ€™s COVID-19 shot is associated with a 133-times greater risk of heart inflammation for teenage boys, according to a new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).

 

The study, published last month by researchers with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), found that myocarditis skyrocketed in men between 12 to 24 years old after both Pfizerโ€™s and Modernaโ€™s mRNA COVID jabs, Israel National News reported.

 

The risk was highest after Pfizer vaccination. Boys between 12 and 15 years old had a myocarditis rate of 70.7 cases of per million Pfizer doses โ€“ 133 times higher than the background rate of .53 per million, according to the study. Zexi Li said the incident occurred at around 8 a.m. Thursday at the corner of Kent Street and Laurier Avenue.

Zexi Li, the 21-year-old Centretown resident who is the lead plaintiff in a class-action suit against the โ€œFreedom Convoy,โ€ says that one of the protestors backed his pickup truck onto a sidewalk in an attempt to hit or frighten her Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at around 8 a.m. at the corner of Kent Street and Laurier Avenue, as she was photographing his licence plate and jerry cans.

โ€œThey get very angry when you take their licence plates,โ€ said Li, who has regularly documented the convoyโ€™s participants and their activities.

And while she says her feelings regarding the protest routinely waver between fearful and angry, the renewal of the horn-blowing before 7 a.m. Thursday, in contravention of injunctions granted following motions by both her and the city, emboldened her to take to the streets.

โ€œIโ€™m looking for accountability,โ€ she says. โ€œIโ€™m looking for anyone whoโ€™s a part of this illegal occupation. Anyone who is blocking our streets, anyone who is honking. I take pictures of the materials they are bringing, I take pictures of the setups theyโ€™re having.

โ€œBecause I donโ€™t think any of these people should be able to slip through the cracks.โ€

Li added that she was on the sidewalk when she took the pictures, and so was surprised when the truck backed onto the sidewalk towards her.

โ€œNormally, of course, there are no cars (on the sidewalk), but here in lawless Ottawa, anything can happen.โ€

Li adds that following the incident, she approached the truck to take a photo of the driver, whereupon he began opening and closing his door against an adjacent truck, to try to keep her away.

Meanwhile, when police arrived to take her statement, one protestor repeatedly told them that they were illegally blocking the intersection, while another, perhaps unaware that Li had shot video of the truck moving back to the road from the sidewalk, said that the pickup truck hadnโ€™t moved in over an hour.

โ€œThe claims that theyโ€™re not causing harm just disgust me,โ€ Li said. โ€œIโ€™ve had enough, and even if there is no criminal charge because he did not hit me โ€“ because I moved out of the way โ€” I want that on record that he tried to do this. I want his name to be registered in the system as someone who potentially could commit a criminal offense.

โ€œI canโ€™t stand these people justifying all of these actions that are harming others because they feel that their rights have been infringed on. That doesnโ€™t give them the right to infringe on other peopleโ€™s rights.โ€

Meehan: Ottawa Mayor Jim Watsonโ€™s world is the very worst of politics

Someone had to take the political fall for what was happening with the protest downtown. Targeting the Ottawa Police Services Board, chaired by Watson's political rival Diane Deans, was just too much to resist.

You can always tell when dictators are at risk of losing power and control. They begin to squeeze their underlings, becoming paranoid, distrustful and even more tyrannical, all in an attempt to burnish their image and stay in power. This is what we are witnessing at Ottawa city hall.

Public displays of dirty politics are not something we saw under Mayor Jim Watsonโ€™s previous terms of council โ€” at least not overtly โ€” but after a decade in power, the mayor seems to be finding it harder to control council.

Every dictator has a loyal group of followers. At city hall, we call them the โ€œWatson Club.โ€ These are elected councillors who, for one reason or another, have decided to further the political machinations of the mayor, before the needs of their residents.

As someone who will never be a career politician, I always thought that elected representatives would be people who could come together and put the best interests of their residents ahead of their political self-interests. I do still believe that, but unfortunately many of my council colleagues have forgotten who they are supposed to be loyal to.

There is plenty of blame to go around about the handling of the illegal occupation in downtown Ottawa. However, the cheap political stunt that played out at city council Feb. 16 was something you never would have believed possible in a well-functioning democracy.

In the middle of the crisis, while we were still reeling from the resignation of the former chief of police, political theatre at its worst played out. On the instruction of the mayor, and executed by Coun. Scott Moffatt, a plan was set in motion to remove Coun. Diane Deans, a mayoral candidate and constant critic of the mayor, and myself from the Ottawa Police Services Board There is little doubt Watson had had the knives out for some time.

Someone had to take the political fall for what was happening downtown and the OPSB, chaired by Watsonโ€™s political rival, was just too much for him to resist. When chair Deans informed the mayor that the board had unanimously chosen an outside expert to lead the Ottawa Police Service in a temporary capacity to assist Interim Chief Steve Bell, Watson leaked it to the media before any announcement could be made, in an attempt to elicit outrage. Never mind that the police services board was doing its duty under the Police Services Act and that the provincial Solicitor Generalโ€™s Office not only approved our actions as being responsible in a crisis, but helped us find and vet candidates.

Moffatt โ€” who is not a member of the police services board โ€” tried to hide behind the political cover of lauding Coun. Rawlson King as a leader and steadfast advocate for Ottawaโ€™s marginalized communities, and declaring that Kingโ€™s involvement on the police services board was critical. These things are true, and King is a true leader on council.

Thankfully, King also has moral integrity, which Watson and Moffatt cannot begin to comprehend. King resigned from the police services board on principle. This is the kind of leadership we need.

In the end, chair Deans, who did everything she could to put the needs of Ottawa first, was ousted, and I and two of my board colleagues resigned. I can tell you our board did everything we could under the current Police Services Act to help police respond to the occupation.

Now thereโ€™s a new police services board that will be chaired by a Watson pick who is experienced at carrying out the directions of a would-be dictator โ€” whose goal is the protection his tarnished legacy.

This is the very worst of politics.

The highly contagious Omicron sub-variant known as BA.2 is gaining a foothold in Canada just as provinces begin removing pandemic restrictions, according to newly released data.

The spread of BA.2, which is believed to be 1.4 times as contagious as the already highly transmissible BA.1 Omicron sub-variant, could complicate reopening plans now underway, or announced, in most provinces.

As it becomes dominant in the coming weeks, BA.2 could extend the current wave of the pandemic, increase case counts or slow the decrease in cases at a time when provinces are dropping gathering restrictions and mask mandates.

Experts say it will have an influence on case counts in Ontario, but will likely not be a complete game changer. A French fashion agent involved in the Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew sex abuse scandal was today found dead in the prison where he was awaiting trial for raping minors.

 

Prosecutors in Paris confirmed that Jean-Luc Brunel, 74, was found hanging in his cell in La Santรฉ, in the south of the capital city, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

 

'A night patrol found his lifeless body at about 1am,' said an investigating source. 'A judicial enquiry has been launched, and early evidence points to suicide.'

 

It was in December 2020 that Brunel was indicted after two days of interviews by an examining magistrate and specialist police from an anti-paedophilia unit.

 

He was arrested at the city's Charles de Gaulle airport on while trying to board a plane to Dakar, Senegal, telling detectives 'I'm going on holiday'.

 

Brunel was suspected of having been part of a global underage sex ring organised by the late American multi-billionaire Epstein, who committed suicide in 2019, while awaiting trial for numerous sex crimes.

 

Others involved in the ring include Epstein's ex-girlfriend, the British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, 59, who is currently in prison in the USA after being found guilty of sex trafficking.

 

Prince Andrew, 62, was, like his friend Maxwell, a regular visitor to Epstein's ยฃ8million mansion flat in Paris, where many of the worst crimes against girls are said to have taken place.

 

A French judicial enquiry into Brunel's conduct was opened in August 2019, when prosecutors heard allegations that Brunel and the Queen's second son shared a lover.

 

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an American, has told lawyers she was employed as a 'sex slave' when she was forced to sleep with the Duke after being trafficked to him at least three times when she was 17.

 

Prince Andrew has since agreed a civil settlement with Ms Giuffre, thought to be worth some ยฃ12million.

 

Ms Roberts Giuffre has also said she had 'sexual relations with Brunel on several occasions', between the ages of 16 and 19, according to legal papers filed in America and France.

 

Both Prince Andrew and Brunel vehemently deny these claims, with the Prince considered a key witness who both the Americans and the French want to interview in person.

 

The rape of a minor is punishable by up to 15 years in prison in France, while aggravated sexual harassment comes with a three-year prison sentence and a fine equivalent to around ยฃ40,000.

 

Brunel, who denied any wrongdoing, was being held in custody until a criminal trial on a date to be fixed.

 

Brunel was also suspected of using his contacts in the fashion industry to provide victims to Epstein and his friends.

 

He is said to have flown three sisters from a Paris housing estate to America so they could be abused by Epstein as 'a birthday present'.

 

Epstein โ€“ an old friend and business of associate of Brunel's โ€“ committed suicide in his prison cell in New York on August 10 2019, while awaiting trial for a range of offences, including trafficking minors for sex, and multiple rapes.

 

Among his alleged victims, it is claimed in court documents, were the 12-year-old triplets from Paris.

 

Brunel was the founder of MC2, the model agency โ€“ one that prosecutors believe was used as as a cover for Epstein's sex trafficking ring.

 

Brunel started his career as a model scout, and has worked with celebrities including Jerry Hall, Sharon Stone, and Monica Bellucci.

 

Corinne Dreyfus-Schmidt, Mr Brunel's lawyer, has insisted her client is innocent of any wrongdoing.

 

Evidence against Brunel came from a number of former models, who had waived their anonymity to make their allegations public.

 

New Zealander Zoe Brock has claimed in statements made to French investigators that she was abused in his Paris home in the early 1990s.

 

A Dutch model, Thysia Huisman, who was 18 when she first stayed with Brunel, said she was raped by him in 1991.

 

She is now one of at least four alleged victims represented by Anne-Claire Le Jeune, a Paris barrister, who said Brunel being in custody was a huge relief, because their complaints now 'take on meaning,' she said.

In fact the convoy has caused further delays for long-haul truck drivers without any additional compensation from their employers. One of us, who is a truck driver, had to drive six hours longer to get across the border due to the blockades โ€” all without additional compensation from the employer.

So what are the actual health, economic and labour issues facing truck drivers on the roads today?

Sadly, poor working conditions are ingrained in a system designed to damage the health of many truck drivers. Because truck drivers have to drive for many hours a day, they are more likely to have underlying health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. The average age of truck drivers is 46, higher than the average age of workers in Canada with some truck drivers continuing to work in their 60s and 70s.

Due to the reasons outlined, it should be clear that truck drivers would have a higher risk of serious illness and even death from COVID. We must prioritize reducing barriers to vaccination for them, rather than promote dangerous anti-science rhetoric as the convoy has done. Truck drivers without paid sick days may find it hard to access vaccines as they have to take a day off work which can have serious financial impacts.

But vaccines alone will not be enough to protect the health and well-being of truck drivers. Other policies are urgently required.

Jean-Luc Brunel, 74, was found hanged in his cell at La Sante where he had been remanded in custody since December 2020, awaiting trial on sexual assault and rape. He was also being investigated for trafficking minors, including girls as young as 12 years old, according to French news reports.

 

Brunel, who ran Karin Models in Paris, and later formed MC2 Model Management with Epstein, went into hiding after Epsteinโ€™s own suicide in a Manhattan lockup in August, 2019. French police arrested Brunel in December, 2020.

 

Brunel, who worked as a model agent in Paris since the late 1970s, was introduced to Epstein by his former gal pal, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking last year.

 

French prison authorities told Le Parisien that โ€œno breachโ€ in security at the prison had occurred, and an investigation into the cause of death had been opened.
