100% true. I would be one of them if not one of the richest by now if it wasn't for Google censorship. In the year 2000, I already put an online service for education up that was data driven, real time chats, streaming video, calendaring, binary data transfers, and customize-able. This was way before most of these big tech sites and social media sites. But corruption was also in the schools. Now I have moved onto programming hands that cannot be seen in order to punish them.

In addition to Rizvi Traverse Capital's $3.82 billion, other big winners of Twitter IPO include Evan Williams $2.55 billion, JP Morgan $2.19 billion, Spark Capital $1.46 billion, Benchmark Capital $1.42 billion, USV $1.25 billion, DST Global $1.07 billion, Jack Dorsey $1.05 billion, Dick Costolo $344 million, and Adam Bain $80 million.

 

Rizvi Traverse's other major investments include a controlling interest in Playboy and music rights organization Sesac, as well as stakes in news app Flipboard and Jack Dorsey's digital payments company, Square. Sources told CNBC that Rizvi invested $100 million in Facebook before its IPO and sold its shares earlier this year. It also has sold its equity stake in talent agency ICM, and in "Twilight" producer Summit Entertainment, which sold to Lionsgate.

 

Rizvi's biggest individual client is Prince Waleed Bin Talal of Saudi Arabia who invested $300 million pre-IPO in Twitter through Rizvi Traverse. Rizvi also invested JP Morgan Chase's $400 million pre-IPO in Twitter. Rizvi is reported to have used personal connections in Silicon Valley to purchase these stakes from Twitter employees.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed just rejected the offer, via Twitter:

 

"I don't believe that the proposed offer by @elonmusk ($54.20) comes close to the intrinsic value of @Twitter given its growth prospects. Being one of the largest & long-term shareholders of Twitter @Kingdom_KHC & I reject this offer."

Florida Redistricting Map Eliminates Gerrymandered Seats โ€“ Gives GOP 20-8 Advantage Including 4 New Republican Seats

 

Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida lawmakers are moving to pass a redistricting map that gets rid of previous gerrymandered seats and gives Republicans a 20 to 8 advantage.

 

The new map proposed by Governor DeSantis will give Republicans 4 new seats in the US Congress.

 

Democrats are threatening legal challenges to the map. According to Creative Loafing State lawmakers will return to Tallahassee next week for a special session after DeSantis vetoed a congressional map passed during this yearโ€™s regular session.

Incoming FF? Boston Police Uniforms Stolen. Boston Marathon is Monday, April 18

 

Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information regarding the theft of Boston police uniforms last month.

 

Police said they continue to look for information about the person or persons who stole several Boston police uniforms from a uniform supply store in Weymouth, Massachusetts, between the hours of 3:30 p.m. on March 27 and 9:30 a.m. on March 28.

 

The FBI is assisting Weymouth police with their investigation and have offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect or suspects.

 

Police released several images Wednesday of items similar to those that were stolen.

 

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Weymouth police at 781-682-3533 or email tipline@waymouth.ma.us.

Media Matters and Its Shadowy and Substantial Money Transfers to the Bonner Group

 

Media Matters is a far-left organization that labels itself as a non-profit but works as a far-left hit machine. It has connections to George Soros and its purpose appears to be to harm conservative Americans and take them out of business. But there is much more to this sketchy entity.

 

On Wednesday The Gateway Pundit reported on Media Matters and its questionable classification as a nonprofit that saves the entity millions in tax dollars. The TGP also discussed its apparent lack of concern for filing its financials with states across the nation on a timely basis. Also, we identified that this โ€˜nonprofitโ€™ took COVID money but this money was not to be shared with nonprofits.

 

Today TGP has more. An interesting and shadowing relationship we found with Media Matters is that its connected closely to the Mary Bonner group. We know very little about Mary Bonner. We located one article where she is discussed alongside Hillary Clinton.

Almost every candidate for high office must now court ultrarich donors to finance super PACs. And with each party more reliant than ever on networks of outside groups to supplement its advertising and opposition research, fund-raisers like Ms. Bonner hold the keys to the big-money kingdom.

Hunter Biden Likely To Be Charged Under FARAโ€ฆ If DoJ Applies The Mueller Standard

 

Below is my column in the New York Post on the potential liability of Hunter Biden under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA). I recently testified on FARA reforms and its history of enforcement.

As US Attorney David Weiss leads a long line of witnesses before a grand jury, Washington is preparing for the possibility of an indictment of the son of President Joe Biden, Hunter. This has led to a nosebleed of a turn for the media, as major outlets suddenly acknowledge that the story that they tried to kill in 2020 is in fact legitimate.

 

Many legal experts have insisted that any prosecution for tax violations would be uncommon or unwarranted because Hunter Biden belatedly paid taxes after the start of the investigation. However, not only are tax and international transactional violations still possible, there is a looming threat of charges under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

 

This week, I testified in the House Judiciary Committee on enhancements of FARA and was asked whether Hunter Biden could be charged under the act. The answer is clearly yes. Indeed, if the Justice Department applies the standard used in the Paul Manafort case, it would seem like such a charge is not just possible, but even probable.

 

The similarities of the Manafort and Biden cases are striking. On a personal level, both men had ravenous levels of material consumption. Where Manafort had his $15,000 ostrich coat, Biden had his high-priced hookers and $143,000 Fisker sports car. Both burned through money and found themselves with towering debts.

 

However, the greatest similarity is how they paid those bills. The Manafort indictment included charges for lobbying on behalf of the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian political parties from 2008 to 2014. He did not register under FARA, which has sweeping terms covering such work.

 

While FARA was rarely used for criminal investigations and prosecutions, special counsel Robert Mueller seemed to charge by the gross under the act. He hit a line of Trump associates with such allegations from Manafort to Michael Flynn to George Papadopoulos to Rick Gates. More recently, the Justice Department used FARA to conduct searches on the homes and files of former Trump counsel Rudy Giuliani, Republican counsel Victoria Toensing and others.

 

The recent use of FARA was celebrated by legal experts and media figures. Now, however, Hunter Biden is the target and the evidence against him on FARA may actually be worse than Manafort in some respects.

 

In Bidenโ€™s laptop, there are hundreds of e-mails detailing work with โ€œforeign principals,โ€ which can include not just foreign governments or foreign agencies, but foreign-based companies, nonprofits and individuals, including Americans living in foreign countries. That would covers companies like CEFC, which had close ties to the Chinese government.

 

Biden does not appear to have done much, if any, conventional legal work for these foreign sources, despite his high fees. Indeed, there is no record Hunter did anything to earn the cool $1โ€‰million given to him to โ€œrepresentโ€ CEFCโ€™s Patrick Ho, who was later convicted and sentenced to three years in prison.

 

Instead, the record shows Biden advising and facilitating access for foreign clients, including meetings with his father. That includes, like Manafort, dealings with Ukrainian officials and businesses.

Efraim Zuroff, the director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Israel, believes it is a lack of โ€œdue diligenceโ€ on the part of Trudeau and the Canadian government, rather than a conscious policy decision to support Nazis in Europe.

 

โ€œThe Canadian government didnโ€™t do its due diligence,โ€ Zuroff told the Ottawa Citizen on Wednesday.

Zuroffโ€™s comments came after a Radio Canada report on Monday that, back in November 2020, Canadian troops were photographed training members of the โ€œAzovโ€ regiment including soldiers bearing the insignia of the SS division โ€œGalizien,โ€ a Ukrainian unit that fought with Hitlerโ€™s Nazis in World War 2.

 

The authenticity of the photo was acknowledged by the Canadian military, the Ottawa Citizen reported. But Canadian Forces (CAF) rejected the idea they have any obligation to ensure they foreign troops they are training are not Nazis or terroristsโ€ฆ

 

โ€œItโ€™s not Russian propaganda, far from it,โ€ Zuroff told the Citizen. โ€œThese people are neo-Nazis. There is an element of the ultra-right in Ukraine and itโ€™s absurd to ignore it.โ€

 

Canada has spent nearly a billion dollars (US$794 million) on training Ukrainian troops since the 2014 coup in which Western-backed rebels overthrew the countryโ€™s democratically-elected government. Neo-Nazi fighters were instrumental in the regime-change operation, and fascists in the Azov Battalion were used to suppress dissent afterward.

 

According to the Citizen, Canadaโ€™s Joint Task Force Ukraine actually produced a briefing in 2017 admitting that they had been training Nazis, writing โ€œmultiple members of Azov have described themselves as Nazis.โ€

While Calling Covid Jab Skeptics โ€˜Criminalsโ€™, Pfizer CEO Raked in $24 Million on The Backs of Taxpayers

 

Starting in July of 2020, under the direction of the Trump administration, US taxpayers shelled out 1.9 billion to Pfizer so they could begin rushing their Comirnaty mRNA vaccine to market. Over the course of the next year and a half, the taxpayers would be hit with another $10 billion invoice โ€” all of which flowed directly into the pockets of Pfizer for their Covid jab.

 

This was only the beginning, however. In November 2021, they received another $5.3 billion in taxpayer dollars for the development of their drug Paxlovid, that was a suspiciously similar protease inhibitor like the infamous โ€œhorse paste.โ€ In January of this year, the taxpayers were hit once more for $500 million.

 

In total, since the coronavirus debacle began, US taxpayers would line the pockets of Pfizer executives with nearly $20 billion in revenue. Note that this does not include the billions in taxpayer dollars used to market the vaccine to Americans through less than ethical propaganda news campaigns and advertising.

 

As tens of millions of Americans were forced into poverty by government closing down their businesses and forcing them to lose their jobs over vaccine mandates, pharmaceutical companies made record profits.

 

One of the center pieces to the fleecing of the American taxpayer was Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. Bourla, who recently stated that a third does of his vaccine has worked well for prevention of hospitalizations and death, but a fourth shot is necessary, has been the pied piper of the vaccine tyrants. Heโ€™s also made millions doing so.

 

According to a recent report, Bourla made $24.3 million in compensation for 2021 โ€” a whopping 15% increase over the previous year. His stock holdings in the company are even higher, coming in a $32 million and his entitlement upon leaving the company is a whopping $113 million, which was valued at the end of December 2021, according to CNBC.

 

The company he heads also saw record profits, raking in over $21 billion in 2021 โ€” double the previous yearโ€™s total โ€” as politicians, media blowhards, and government scientists took to their pulpits to declare the jab โ€œ100 percent effective.โ€ As the world quickly learned, that was not true, yet the money kept flowing.

 

Instead of apologizing to the world for the inaccurate efficacy statements, folks like Bourla doubled down and claimed that anyone who questioned this data was โ€œa criminal.โ€

7 soldiers charged after Fort Bragg trooperโ€™s severed head found washed ashore

 

Seven soldiers who went camping with a Fort Bragg paratrooper before his severed head washed up on a beach are facing courts-martial on conspiracy and a slew of other charges.

 

The North Carolina-based soldiers were the last to see decorated Spc. Enrique Roman-Martinez, 21, during their trip to Cape Lookout National Seashore for Memorial Day weekend in May 2020.

 

The Californian was reported missing on May 22 โ€” six days before his severed head was found washed up on the shore. His body has never been found.

 

His homicide case remains open with a $50,000 reward, but was moved to โ€œcold case status,โ€ a spokeswoman for the Army Criminal Investigation Division said.

 

No one has been charged with his death, and the seven facing courts-martial are for charges not directly related to the homicide, officials stressed.

 

Instead, they are all charged with conspiracy and failure to obey a direct order or regulation related to travel during a travel ban, according to court records obtained by the Fayetteville Observer.

 

The paper identified them as Sgt. Samuel Moore, Pfc. Samad Landrum, Pvt. Annamarie Cochell, and Spcs. Juan Avila, Alex Becerra, Joshua Curry and Benjamin Sibley.

 

Becerra, Cochell and Landrum are also charged with using the hallucinogenic drug LSD, the paper said. Other charges include disobeying a superior or making false statements.

 

All seven have all been arraigned and their trials are scheduled from May to September.

 

Roman-Martinez joined the Army when he was 17, and went on to be awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Army Parachutist Badge, Army officials have said.

 

His sister, Griselda Martinez, previously told CBS LA that her brother joined the military because โ€œall he wanted was to do good in his life.โ€

Washington is not planning to return the assets confiscated from Russian businessmen as part of the latest sanctions imposed on Moscow over the military operation in Ukraine, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Thursday.

 

โ€œOur goal is not to give them back,โ€ Sullivan said at the Economic Club of Washington, adding that the US authorities would use the seized assets โ€œin a better way.โ€

 

โ€œThere are authorities we have, and there are further authorities that maybe we could develop, and thatโ€™s something weโ€™re actively looking at,โ€ the official added.

 

The White House has introduced several rounds of sanctions against Moscow since February 24, when Russiaโ€™s military operation in Ukraine began. As part of the penalties, the US authorities arrested Russian foreign assets along with those belonging to the countryโ€™s businesses and high-profile individuals.

 

He also added that the United States was preparing new efforts to crack down on sanctions evasion by Russia.

AUSTIN, Texas โ€“ An Army veteran and a Fort Hood soldier were among three victims found dead with gunshot wounds Saturday at a Texas apartment complex, according to Army officials at the base.

 

Spc. Freddy Beningo Delacruz Jr., 23, was one of three dead people discovered at about 1:40 a.m. in a unit of the Summerlyn Apartments in Killeen by local police officers who were responding to a call about a water leak, according to the Killeen Police Department. The other victims were a man and a woman, who were identified Tuesday as Army veteran Shaquan Markell Allred, 23, and Asia Cline, 22.

 

Police said officers were initially dispatched to the area at about 1 a.m. to investigate a call that gunshots were heard, however they were unable to locate the source. About 40 minutes later, police returned to the area for a call about water leaking from one apartment into another at Summerlyn Apartments.

 

That investigation found the apartment unlocked and officers unable to contact the tenant. Police entered apartment and found the three dead bodies.

 

Information about the water leak was not released.

 

Army Criminal Investigation Command is investigating the deaths with Killeen police, according to the news release from Fort Hood.

 

Allred served as a combat engineer from November 2017 until January, when he left the Army as a private, according to his official service record.

 

Delacruz of Vidalia, Ga., entered the Army in November 2017 as a cavalry scout and he has been assigned to Fort Hoodโ€™s 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division since April 2018, according to the base release.

 

โ€œSpc. Freddy Delacruz was an outstanding trooper,โ€ Lt. Col. Steven E. Jackowski, commander of the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, said in a statement. โ€œEach of us in the battalion are grateful for having known him and we collectively grieve his loss. I would like to send my deepest, heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time."

 

Delacruz's awards and decorations include the Global War on Terrorism Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.

 

Allredโ€™s awards include the National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon, according to his service record.

 

Earlier this month, another Fort Hood soldier was killed in Killeen, the city located just beyond Fort Hoodโ€™s gates. Spc. Shelby Tyler Jones, 20, was found dead with a gunshot wound outside of a convenience store but police believe he was shot at a nearby strip club. No arrests have been made regarding Jonesโ€™ death, according to Ofelia Miramontez, spokeswoman for the Killeen Police Department.

Pfizer to Ask US Regulators to Authorize COVID Vaccine Booster for 5โ€“11 Age Group

 

Pfizer and BioNTech plan on asking the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to grant emergency use authorization for a booster for their COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5- to 11-years-old, the companies announced on April 14.

 

The submission will be based on data from a Phase 2/3 clinical trial that showed a boost in antibodies from a booster dose, according to the companies.

 

One hundred and forty children in the trial received a booster approximately six months after the second dose. The shot comes in a two-dose primary series.

 

The children saw a 6-fold increase in antibodies against the Wuhan strain of SARS-CoV-2 one month after the booster, the companies said. A sub analysis of 30 participants demonstrated a 36-fold increase in neutralizing antibody titers. The trial was also said to have shown โ€œno new safety signals.โ€

 

The data has not yet been published on a preprint server or in a journal.

 

โ€œClinical and real-world data continue to prove that a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose can keep individuals protected against severe disease,โ€ Albert Bourla, Pfizerโ€™s CEO, said in a statement. โ€œWe now have new, positive data in children 5 to 11 that show high immune response following a booster.โ€

 

The data is compelling the companies to ask the FDA for emergency clearance for a booster.

 

The FDA authorized a primary series of Pfizerโ€™s shot for the age group in October 2021.

 

The FDA has said it does not comment on submissions pending before the agency but a spokeswoman told The Epoch Times last month that โ€œour approach has always been to conduct a regulatory review thatโ€™s responsive to the urgent public health needs created by the pandemic, while adhering to our rigorous standards for safety and effectiveness.โ€

 

Drug companies like Pfizer โ€œdo not apply for product distribution approvals from the FDA unless they are reasonably confident the FDA will approve,โ€ Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center, told The Epoch Times in an email.

 

The submission being made based on data from the small number of children is โ€œa new low for scientific evidence of a vaccineโ€™s safety and efficacy and a clear indication that the pharmaceutical industry views FDA as a rubber-stamping agency,โ€ she added.

 

If authorized, few children would be eligible immediately. Just 8 million, or about 28 percent of the age group, has been fully vaccinated, according to federal data.

 

Many of the children who did get the two-dose primary series have not gone six months since the second dose.

 

A growing number of data points show the COVID-19 vaccines, including Pfizer, provide little to no protection against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes COVID-19.

Hollywood star Eddie Deezen has been arrested for the second time in seven months.

 

The actor, who was best known for playing Eugene Felsnic in the 1978 movie Grease and its 1982 sequel, is in jail in Maryland after being taken in for fourth-degree burglary on April 9.

 

The 65-year-old star has also been booked on two counts of trespassing at an old home and one count of disturbing the peace, according to a police report seen by TMZ.

 

The star was arrested for showing up at a nursing facility, which is privately owned, several times and refusing to leave.

 

The first time was during the day when he entered the facility, it was claimed, and was asked to leave.

 

He left, but the staff remembered him, so when he came back later that evening they were on high alert.

 

It has been alleged that he broke into a woman's room in the evening and harassed her, causing her to call on staff members.

 

He was asked to leave and refused. The staff called police and had Deezen arrested.

 

The woman allegedly told the police that the former actor been there many times before and had left notes behind for her.

 

The Hollywood staple was last arrested in September 2021 at a Maryland restaurant and charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and trespassing for that altercation.

 

The actor was allegedly causing a scene at the restaurant and refused to leave when the police arrived, and even threw several items including plates at them.

 

The incident started around lunchtime when police were called for Deezen causing a scene at a restaurant.

 

When the police arrived, Deezen reportedly went to hide behind a woman in a booth and refused multiple orders for him to leave.

 

He was forcibly removed from the restaurant, with the report claiming he threw numerous items at police officers including plates, bowls and food, with one of the deputies being struck.

 

The actor was shirtless when he was removed from the restaurant.

 

There was also video of the restaurant arrest, posted on Facebook in September 2021 by Cumberland on Patrol, which purported to show a shirtless Deezen being lead away in handcuffs.

 

As he was sat on a bench, he's heard saying, 'Ow I could have been hurt.'

 

Another Facebook user named Amanda Lambert offered an account of the 2021 arrest.

 

Deezen made headlines in June when he was accused of harassing a waitress named Kara Lashbaugh, and posted a lengthy Facebook message about her.

Belarus Claims Alleged Russian War Crimes Were Staged by Britain

 

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has accused Britain of staging a โ€œpsychological operationโ€ in Bucha, Ukraine, where Russia has been accused of committing war crimes after reports and pictures emerged of mass graves of people allegedly killed by Russian forces.

 

Appearing at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the far Eastern Amur Oblast region of Russia, Lukashenko claimed to have provided his chief ally, Vladimir Putin, with evidence that the events in Bucha were staged by the British.

 

โ€œToday weโ€™ve discussed this special operation of theirs in detail โ€“ a psychological operation staged by Englishmen,โ€ the Belarusian strongman said according to the state news agency Belta.

 

โ€œTogether with our Russian friends we have gotten to the bottom of this nasty and disgusting position of the West from the first hour to the last one,โ€ he added.

 

Lukashenko did not offer up any evidence of the claim that Bucha was staged by the UK, but said that Russiaโ€™s Federal Security Service (FSB) could provide โ€œaddresses, passwords, places of secret meetings, plate numbers and brands of the vehicles those people used to come to Bucha and how they did it.โ€

 

Vladimir Putin, for his part, also claimed that Bucha was staged, claiming that it was a โ€œfalse flagโ€, comparing it to chemical weapons attacks in Syria.

 

โ€œToday Aleksandr Grigoryevich [Lukashenko] gave me the documents, which were handed over to the Federal Security Service. The documents identify how, who (they have the relevant intercepts), on what vehicle came to this population center and created conditions for organizing this fake,โ€ he added.

 

Touring the site of the alleged massacre earlier this month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Russia had committed โ€œwar crimesโ€ and that it would make further peace negotiations with Putin more difficult.

 

Zelenskyโ€™s sentiments were echoed by US President Joe Biden, who introduced another round of sanctions on Russia and said that Putin should face a war crimes trial over Bucha.

 

Russia has meanwhile consistently maintained that the alleged atrocities in Bucha were staged, despite widespread reports in Western media.

 

On Monday, Russiaโ€™s envoy to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansk claimed that evidence of the atrocities being manufactured is โ€œmultiplyingโ€ by the day. Russia has argued that its military had withdrawn from the area when the attacks were said to have taken place.

A biolab in Ukraine has allegedly conducted unethical human experiments on behalf of the US government, Russiaโ€™s defense ministry claimed on Thursday, in its latest update on Pentagon-funded research in the country.

 

The allegations concern a laboratory located in Merefa, a city in Ukraineโ€™s Kharkov region, located about 20 kilometers (12 miles) southwest of the provincial capital. The Russian military claimed that โ€œAmerican scientists from the labโ€ conducted a series of human experiments between 2019 and 2021, using patients at a psychiatric ward in Kharkov as subjects.

 

The research involved testing โ€œpotentially dangerous biological preparations,โ€ the ministry claimed, without explaining what exactly was being tested.

 

The subjects were screened based on their age, nationality, and immunity status and were closely monitored, the ministry said. The ward kept no records about the alleged trials while its staff members were made to sign non-disclosure agreements, it alleged.

 

The Russian military claimed it had eyewitness testimonies of the โ€œinhuman experiments,โ€ but declined to provide any evidence of that, citing the necessity to protect them.

 

It said the lab shut down in January and all its equipment and research materials were moved to western Ukraine.

 

Russia suspects the Pentagon of funding clandestine bioweapons research in Ukraine and many other nations. The US government says the labs operating under the US militaryโ€™s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DRTA) act as biological outposts monitoring the environment for potentially dangerous infections emerging naturally. Moscow says the research may have military applications.

 

The Russian defense ministry has conducted a number of media briefings regarding the program and labs in Ukraine since Moscow launched an attack on the country. The Russian government has argued that the evidence presented confirmed its long-held suspicions about American intentions.

 

Beijing supported Russia in its calls to Washington to open up DRTA labs for international scrutiny.

 

Russia attacked its neighbor in late February, following Ukraineโ€™s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, signed in 2014, and Moscowโ€™s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. Pope Benedict summoned me immediately, and before I could even mention the events with Bertone, he proposed to appoint me President of the Pontifical Council for Economic Affairs of the Holy See, in place of Cardinal Velasio de Paolis. And he did so with these precise words: "I am convinced that this is the task with which you can render the best service to the Holy See." It is not difficult to imagine what may have been the pressures, misinformation and slander against me that were presented to Pope Benedict, which prompted him to change his mind and appoint me Nuncio to the United States, an appointment that I accepted in a spirit of obedience, but not without suffering, well aware that it was a coup of the Curia that intended to nullify all the work of healing that I had carried out in the Governorate. The Holy Father wrote to me: "I find myself confirmed in the conviction that your providential position at this time is the Nunciature in the United States of America. Robert Reich Smears Elon Musk's Vision for Twitter as 'Dangerous Nonsense'

The libertarian vision of an 'uncontrolled' internet is not the dream of dictators. (So libertarians are dangerous now, their whole idea is live and let live)

Libertarian: One who advocates maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state, One who believes in free will, One who maintains the doctrine of the freedom of the will (especially in an extreme form): opposed to necessitarian.

 

Reich begins by condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin's authoritarianism: how he hides the truth from the people of Russia by outlawing dissent, jailing protesters, and prioritizing government propaganda over independent media. Reich then turns his attention to formerPresident Donald Trump, writing that the decisions by social media companies to ban the president "were necessary to protect American democracy."

But wait a minute:

Why does silencing a political viewpoint protect democracy?How is that any different than Putin saying his silencing of dissenters is necessary to protect Russia?โ€ฆ

 

Musk has expressed misgivings about Twitter's treatment of dissenting views, and is worried that the social media site: The First Amendment cannot be cited as a defense by anyone who is shadow-banned or de-platformed on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, or anywhere else. What we possess, under the First Amendment, is a right to criticize bad and hypocritical behavior free from government censorship.

That's what Musk thinks, it's what I think, and it's what many independent voices on both the left and the right think.

 

But not Robert Reich. He writes:

Will Musk use his clout to let Trump back on? I fear he will.

Musk has long advocated a libertarian vision of an "uncontrolled" internet. That vision is dangerous rubbish. There's no such animal, and there never will be. โ€ฆ

In Musk's vision of Twitter and the internet, he'd be the wizard behind the curtain โ€“ projecting on the world's screen a fake image of a brave new world empowering everyone.

In reality, that world would be dominated by the richest and most powerful people in the world, who wouldn't be accountable to anyone for facts, truth, science or the common good. (this guy is fucking stupid, that is how it is now)

That's Musk's dream. And Trump's. And Putin's. And the dream of every dictator, strongman, demagogue and modern-day robber baron on Earth. For the rest of us, it would be a brave new nightmare.

Reich, unfortunately, is deeply confused. The libertarian vision of an "uncontrolled" internet is not the dream of dictators (really stupid fucker). Dictators like Putin want a controlled internet. Reich is also advocating for a controlled internetโ€”and apparently likes the people who control it right now: i.e., the sort of progressive-minded moderators who don't want people to read about the Black Lives Matter foundation spending millions in donations to buy up real estate rather than promote change, a story that Facebook decided to suppressโ€ฆ.

 

Reich is not alone in preferring things the way they are. Ellen K. Pao, the former CEO of reddit, wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post that "Elon Musk's vision of 'free speech' will be bad for Twitter.โ€It will be bad for Twitter, she writes, because Musk wants to let more people speak on Twitter without fear of censorship.

 

Progressives like Reich and Pao shouldn't frame their dismissal of free speech as a sort of rejection of tyranny. It's the opposite: It's an embrace of tyrannyโ€”of a kind of tyranny that is popular in both Russia and China, the U.S.'s main political, social, and economic rivals. Russia and China don't want their citizens saying whatever they want on social media. Elon Musk does. That's the difference between an uncontrolled libertarian ethos for the internet, and the ethos of the censors.

Bezos is also the founder and executive chairman of mega-corporation Amazon, which has tens of billions of dollars worth of contracts with the CIA, Pentagon, NSA, FBI, ICE, and other US government agencies.

 

If The Washington Post is disclosing this information about NATO, with quotes from senior White House officials, it clearly got the green light from its handlers in Washington.

Russia Warns UK Against Coming To Moscow To Impose Sanctions; 'we Read, See Everything'

She told the lawmakers that assets of such businesses or Russian officials will be frozen in the UK as a result of their aggressive acts. Truss said that the package โ€œthat we are putting forward in legislationโ€ will be โ€œin placeโ€ in February. After Truss announced new legislation to expand the countryโ€™s sanctions regime amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Russia said that Britain's threat would backfire and would hurt UKโ€™s companies and shareholders.

French far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen warned Wednesday against sending any more weapons to Ukraine, and called for a rapprochement between NATO and Russia once Moscowโ€™s war in Ukraine winds down.

Le Pen, an outspoken nationalist who has long ties to Russia, also confirmed that if she unseats President Emmanuel Macron in Franceโ€™s April 24 presidential runoff, she will pull France out of NATOโ€™s military command and dial back French support for the whole European Union.

 

Macron, a pro-EU centrist, is facing a harder-than-expected fight to stay in power, in part because the economic impact of the war is hitting poor households the hardest. Franceโ€™s European partners are worried that a possible Le Pen presidency could undermine Western unity as the U.S. and Europe seek to support Ukraine and end Russiaโ€™s ruinous war on its neighbor.

 

Asked about military aid to Ukraine, Le Pen said she would continue defense and intelligence support.

 

โ€œ(But) Iโ€™m more reserved about direct arms deliveries. Why? Because โ€ฆ the line is thin between aid and becoming a co-belligerent,โ€ the far-right leader said, citing concerns about an โ€œescalation of this conflict that could bring a whole number of countries into a military commitment.โ€

 

Earlier Wednesday, French government spokesman Gabriel Attal said France had sent 100 million euros ($109 million) worth of weapons to Ukraine in recent weeks as part of a flow of Western arms .

 

Earlier in his term, Macron had tried to reach out to Russian President Vladimir Putin to improve Russiaโ€™s relations with the West, and Macron met with Putin weeks before the Russian invasion in an unsuccessful effort to prevent it. Since then, however, France has supported EU sanctions against Moscow and has offered sustained support to Ukraine.

 

Le Pen also said France should strike a more independent path from the U.S.-led NATO military alliance.

 

And despite the atrocities that Russian troops have committed in Ukraine, Le Pen said that NATO should seek a โ€œstrategic rapprochementโ€ with Russia once the war is over. Such a relationship would be โ€œin the interest of France and Europe and I think even of the United States,โ€ she said, to stop Russia from forging a stronger alliance with world power China.

 

She did not directly address the horrors unfolding in Ukraine.

 

Le Pen was speaking at a press conference Wednesday to lay out her foreign policy plans, which include halting aid to African countries unless they take back โ€œundesirableโ€ migrants seeking entry to France. She also wants to slash support for international efforts to improve womenโ€™s reproductive health in poor countries, increase minority rights or solve environmental problems.

 

At the end of the event, protesters held up a poster showing a 2017 meeting between Le Pen and Putin. One activist was pulled out of the room. Anti-racism protesters also held a small demonstration outside.

 

โ€œThe election of Madame Le Pen would mean electing an admirer of Putinโ€™s regime, an autocratic regime and an admirer of Putinโ€™s imperialistic logic,โ€ said Dominique Sopo, head of the group SOS Racism. โ€œIt would mean that France would become a vassal to Putinโ€™s Russia.โ€

Medvedchuk heads the second largest party in the national parliament, the โ€œOpposition Platform โ€“ For Life.โ€ He was previously placed under house arrest, last year, as part of Zelenskyโ€™s clampdown on dissent, which was granted tacit approval by the regimeโ€™s Western supporters.

 

Medvedchuk, who opposed the 2014 Kiev Maidan, and believes the countryโ€™s Western turn to be detrimental to Ukraineโ€™s interests, has led his party since 2018. He previously served as Chief of Staff to former President Leonid Kuchma, in the early 2000s.

 

Some Western commentators have labelled him as Vladimir Putinโ€™s โ€œclosest ally in Ukraine.โ€ However, the Russian President has described Medvechuk as a โ€œUkrainian nationalist.โ€

The top court observed the child wasn't forced into the act while rejecting the prosecution's plea for harsher punishment. The refugee abused the minor in the yard of a deserted building in Tampere city, in Southern Pirkanmaa region, in autumn 2016.

The accused identified as Juusuf Muhamed Abbudin by the Finnish media was given three-year-jail term by both Pirkanmaa District Court and the Appeal Court, Turku, in 2017. He was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse charges. But the abuse didn't constitute as rape, according to the courts. They said the girl wasn't overcome by fear, or was incapacitated in any way, during the act.

A Professor of Child Psychiatry, Tuula Tamminen, said there was no way the child could have known what was happening to her. National Coalition Party MP Kari Tolvanen sought a harsher sentence in such offenses. He called for amendment in criminal law dealing with sexual abuse.

An image that purported to show a beaten, bruised and handcuffed Aslin was posted on a Twitter account belonging to him on Thursday afternoon. A message accompanying it โ€“ apparently written by a third party controlling the account โ€“ read: โ€œJust got this, it looks as if they have gotten ahold of Aiden.โ€ It claimed those holding Aslin had โ€œworked him overโ€ and vowed to keep his case โ€œin the public eye every day until heโ€™s exchangedโ€.

A later message added: โ€œSome people have asked why he should get special coverage when there are so many prisoners. I have no answer for you, but I have a friend in danger so Iโ€™m using the tools he gave me to help.โ€

Foreign Office sources said they were working to verify reports about British nationals caught up in fighting in Ukraine after the picture emerged. Officials said that, given the situation in Ukraine, their ability to obtain information and provide consular services on the ground was severely limited. They added that they expected any detainees to be treated in accordance with international humanitarian law.

After the news emerged, Aslinโ€™s local MP Robert Jenrick said he was working with the Foreign Office to โ€œtrack the whereabouts and secure the release of my constituent, Aiden Aslin. Aiden chose to risk his life because he believes passionately in the Ukrainian peopleโ€™s right to live in freedom and democracyโ€.

Aslinโ€™s mother, Ang Wood previously told the BBC her sonโ€™s unit had โ€œput up one hell of a fightโ€, but had been left with no choice but to surrender because they had โ€œno weapons leftโ€. She called on Boris Johnson to find a way to โ€œtake Putin downโ€.

In a Facebook post on Monday, the last Ukrainian soldiers defending Mariupol said they were โ€œrunning out of ammunitionโ€ and expected to be killed or taken prisoner very soon.

โ€œWe were bombed from airplanes and shot at by artillery and tanks. We have been doing everything possible and impossible. But any resource has the potential to run out,โ€ said the 36th brigade.

The Kentucky legislature overrode on Wednesday Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear's veto of a bill that bans abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

 

The state's new law resembles those of Mississippi and Florida, and will shutter the two abortion clinics currently operating in the Bluegrass state. The law has been framed as an emergency measure and will therefore take effect immediately, unless a court stops the implementation of the legislation. The American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood immediately announced their intent to file suits in Kentucky federal court aiming to do just that.

 

"Along with Planned Parenthood, we're fighting to immediately block this law and ensure that people in Kentucky can continue to get the abortion care they need," wrote the ACLU on Twitter.

 

Similarly to Florida's bill, H.B. 3 does not make exceptions in the case of pregnancy as the result of rape or incest, a main objection of Beshear's.

 

"Under House Bill 3, a 12-year-old child that is raped and impregnated by her father would not have the option of a procedure without both the consent of her mother and without also notifying her rapist โ€“ her father โ€“ at least 48 hours prior to obtaining a procedure," wrote the governor, adding that the bill is "likely unconstitutional."

 

The state's overwhelming Republican House and Senate overrode the veto by margins of 76-21 and 31-6, respectively.

 

Republican controlled states have been passing laws restricting abortion in anticipation of a forthcoming Supreme Court decision that could significantly undercut or overturn altogether the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion at a national level.

Mexican drug cartels have conducted more than 9,000 drone flights into U.S. airspace in the last year to surveil American law enforcement and security operations in the southern border region, a senior Homeland Security official told Judicial Watch this week. The drones are observing federal, state, county, and city agencies near the Mexican border, including the U.S. Border Patrol, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas National Guard, county sheriffs and local police. The Border Patrol, which operates under Customs and Border Protection (CBP), has captured about a dozen of the drones, and accessed the Unmanned Aerial Vehiclesโ€™ (UAVs) guidance and memory systems to gain intelligence information, according to a high-level official at the agency.

 

Judicial Watch learned about the Mexican cartel drone incursions during a recent visit to the southern border and specifically while interviewing federal officials at the CBP Rio Grande Valley sector in Texas. Judicial Watch is further investigating the matter and has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with CBP, the 60,000-member agency charged with keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S., for all records regarding the use of drones by criminal organizations operating along the U.S.-Mexico border for the purpose of surveilling U.S. law enforcement officials or otherwise facilitating illegal activity. The federal public-record request includes, but is not limited to, all information depicting the known or estimated number of instances of the use of such technology, as well as all reports, intelligence assessments, analyses, or similar records related to their use.

 

Federal officials on the ground tell Judicial Watch that the cartels use the UAV surveillance flights to facilitate human smuggling and drug trafficking. Specifically, they help identify gaps in border coverage and assist the cartels in overwhelming certain areas to create a diversion for moving sensitive or high value loads through alternate border locations. The data analyzed from the confiscated drones has also provided U.S. authorities with other law-enforcement sensitive information that cannot be made public, government sources said, adding that drug cartels started using the devices a few years ago. Brandon Judd, the president of the union representing the nationโ€™s 20,000 Border Patrol agents, told Judicial Watch the drones are also used to smuggle small amounts of drugs into the U.S. โ€œThey are dropping fentanyl,โ€ Judd said this week. โ€œThey fly into certain locations, drop them to the ground and fentanyl is taken off of them and they take back off into Mexico.โ€ The drones are not military grade, Judd confirmed, but rather โ€œrun of the millโ€ that can be purchased anywhere.

The dossier was then deployed by the FBI to obtain secret surveillance against a former Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page, beginning in 2016. Its publishing in January 2017 by BuzzFeed led to a yearslong Democratic frenzy: Rep. Adam Schiff, the House intelligence chairman, read portions of it into the Congressional Record, and left-wing partisans and media personalities promoted its false narrative of a collusion conspiracy between Trump and the Kremlin.

 

It was a grand conspiracist snowball rolled down the hill by Marc Elias, a virtual unknown to most of America but one of the most powerful inner-circle Democratic Party figures in Washington. Along the way, it engulfed and corrupted the nation's democratic processes and the institutions of the federal government and law enforcement. EcoHealth president Peter Daszakโ€™s behaviour has added fuel to suspicions of a lab leak โ€” potentially of a virus that he himself helped create. In 2015, he warned a global pandemic might occur from a laboratory incident, especially the sort of virus manipulation research being done in Wuhan. Despite this history, in February 2020, Daszak wrote a โ€œscientific consensus statementโ€ published in The Lancet that condemned the lab leak theory as a wild conspiracy theory.

In addition, nearly one third of the reptile skins seized throughout the world are destined for Spain to be used in purses, wallets and other fashionable accessories.

 

The wildlife collection stored in the warehouse could sell for over US$31 million on the black market, Spanish police said.

 

Authorities said they are going to analyze all the documentation brought by Ros Garcรญa. He may be charged with smuggling and other crimes against the environment.

 

Ultimately, Spanish investigators said that they hope the animals could be transferred to natural science museums in Spain or could even be donated to a non-profit institution for their conservation, study and exhibition, so that some good may at least come from the affair.

Infections, Hospitalizations, Deaths Increase in Canada for the Doubly and Triply "Vaccinated" as Antibody-Dependent Enhancement Takes Hold -

 

Covid-19 is supposedly โ€œending,โ€ but infections, hospitalizations and deaths have only increased in vaccinated populations over the past months. The data is clear in Canada. According to the Canadian government, the doubly and triply vaccinated are more likely to be infected, experience severe disease, be hospitalized or die from covid-19. However, this historic medical malfeasance is being swept under the rug. The world is learning to live with vaccine failure, namely antibody-dependent enhancement.

FDA ignored evidence of ADE for Pfizerโ€™s covid mRNA

 

When the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for Pfizerโ€™s covid-19 mRNA, they completely ignored the risk of antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE), even though there was clear evidence that this phenomenon was occurring after vaccination [Table 5]. ADE occurs when virus-specific antibodies enhance the entry and replication of a virus in mammalian cells.

 

The covid-19 mRNA jab uses lipid nano-particles to bypass the innate immune response. By evading the first lines of detection and forcing replication of spike proteins inside the body, the covid-19 mRNA injection causes an incomplete immune response that is non-neutralizing. This non-neutralizing response signals T cells to deal with the artificial infection, but the response is indirect and unable to generate a complete cell-mediated, helper T-cell-1 and 2 response โ€” resulting in a weak B cell memory. While the non-neutralizing antibodies provide some sort of measurable immune response, it is not durable in the long term and sometimes not even effective in the short term.

 

The non-neutralizing, virus-specific antibodies allow future mutations of the virus to readily enter the cell and infect macrophages and other immune cells. This process causes an over-reactive immune response that leads to severe disease upon subsequent infection. These non-neutralizing immune responses can be brought on by a natural infection that did not convey neutralizing antibodies upon first exposure or can be the result of poorly-designed mRNA vaccines that systematically destroy human immune function.

 

When the FDA received evidence of ADE, they brushed it aside, right along with a long list of side effects that include death. The Pfizer documents were intended for release 75 years from now, but a court order is forcing the FDA to release the files in 2022. These documents reveal that the FDA ignored evidence of ADE. There were 101 cases of covid-19 after vaccination and 75 of the cases were severe, โ€œresulting in hospitalization, disability, life-threatening consequences or death.โ€ The agency knew that these vaccines depleted the human immune system and caused severe adverse reactions. The vaccines were forcefully pushed onto the population regardless, as the agency claimed, โ€œno new safety issues have been raised.โ€

A legal group that assists Catholic employers said it fears President Joe Bidenโ€™s administration, through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), could issue new regulations this month that would require health plans to pay for abortion and procedures for gender-confused individuals.

 

The Catholic Benefits Association (CBA) said a leftist group called the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights has been working with the administration to craft regulations โ€œto include surgical abortion, cross-sex hormones, gender-transition surgeries, gender-affirming cosmetic surgeries and voice modification โ€” along with a host of expanded services dealing with fertility treatments, contraception, abortifacients and sterilizations,โ€ Crux reported.

 

โ€œThe memo prepared by the Leadership Conference provides the best forecast of what the new regulation will say,โ€ attorney Martin Nussbaum, a legal advisor to CBA, told Crux for an April 5 article. โ€œWe donโ€™t know for sure what the regulation will say but there is good reason to believe that it will be quite similar to the memo signed on by 30 sexual rights activist groups including Planned Parenthood.โ€

 

CBA first heard of the possibility of new regulations after due to a reference in a court filing last year.

 

There would be no religious exemptions to the rule. โ€œThe forthcoming (HHS) regulation presents an existential threat to Catholic health care because the penalties to noncompliance will likely include private enforcement, class-action lawsuits, โ€˜qui tamโ€™ actions, which is where an individual can file a lawsuit as if he or she were the United States itself,โ€ Nussbaum said. โ€œThe penalties may also include loss of Medicare and Medicaid funding and even imprisonment for noncomplying health care executives.โ€

 

This would not be the first time the Biden administration has sought to push so-called โ€œgender-affirming careโ€ as necessary healthcare.

 

HHS released on March 31 two documents that endorsed the surgical and chemical mutilation of gender-confused children. โ€œProviding gender-affirming care is neither child maltreatment nor malpractice,โ€ one document claims. โ€œThere is no scientifically sound research showing negative impacts from providing gender-affirming care,โ€ it continued, contradicting numerous experts.

 

The administration also tried to require Christian healthcare facilities to perform โ€œsex-changeโ€ operations starting in May 2021, but federal courts have blocked the regulation and a similar one issued while President Obama was in office.

 

The Biden administration also threatened states like Alabama that have passed laws prohibiting medical professionals from mutilating kids and said they have been โ€œput on notice.โ€

 

โ€œAlabamaโ€™s lawmakers and other legislators who are contemplating these discriminatory bills have been put on notice by the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services that such legislation could violate the Constitution and federal law,โ€ Press Secretary Jen Psaki said prior to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signing the legislation.

Washington Postโ€™s Aaron Blake Defends Groomers In Public Schools

 

A fascinating element to the controversy over teaching sex topics to very young children in public schools is the knee-jerk reaction by leftists in the media, not to dispute that kids are being taught sex stuff, but to defend that they are!

 

In an โ€œanalysisโ€ piece both hilarious and infuriating, the Washington Postโ€™s Aaron Blake this week attempted to explain away official guidelines in New Jersey for the stateโ€™s school teachers in educating children on sexual and gender identity and expression.

 

โ€œConservative media oversell New Jerseyโ€™s guidelines for teaching gender,โ€ read the headline.

 

True, in recent days Republicans and conservatives have drawn attention to New Jersey to back up the argument that new policies regulating how and when children are taught about sex are needed in more states and school districts. Florida is the most well-known example of a state crafting and passing legislation expressly for that purpose.

 

The reason for making an example out of New Jersey is because earlier this year, one school district promoted materials offering first-grade teachers lessons on โ€œhonest sexuality educationโ€ that would โ€œDefine gender, gender identity and gender role stereotypes.โ€

 

Included in that sweet-sounding literature was instruction for teachers in discussing the young studentsโ€™ body parts. โ€œYou might feel like you are a boy, you might feel like you are a girl,โ€ it says. โ€œYou might feel like youโ€™re a boy even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are โ€˜girlโ€™ parts. You might feel like youโ€™re a girl even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are โ€˜boyโ€™ parts. And you might not feel like youโ€™re a boy or a girl, but youโ€™re a little bit of both.โ€

 

This is, again, material made available by the school district to teachers of first-grade children.

 

But not so fast! Blake was ready to demonstrate why this is all nothing. โ€œRepeatedly, Fox News and others have framed this as something amounting to actual school curriculum,โ€ he wrote. โ€œBut the school district and the advocacy group both say thatโ€™s not the case โ€” that these were sample materials that the district shared as it reviews the state guidelines.โ€

 

Donโ€™t you see? This isnโ€™t โ€œactual school curriculum.โ€ Itโ€™s only โ€œsample materialsโ€ that were โ€œsharedโ€!

 

Blake helpfully included a quote from district Superintendent Raymond Gonzรกlez, who offered this simple explanation: โ€œThe cited sample plans were part of a website that was included as a link to illustrate the type of possible resources for school districts shared by the N.J. Department of Education. We have said repeatedly that these are resources only and that they are not state-mandated.โ€

Russian MoD Says It Has Evidence US Activities in Ukraine Violated Biological Weapons Convention

 

Last month, the Russian Defence Ministry revealed that about 30 biological laboratories funded by the Pentagon have been discovered in Ukraine during Moscow's ongoing special operation in the country.

The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated that it has evidence that US activities in Ukraine ran counter to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).

Igor Kirillov, head of the Russian MoD's radiation, chemical, and biological protection forces, also told reporters on Thursday that the "American curators of biological laboratories in Ukraine were most interested in dual-use projects, many of which are aimed at studying potential agents of biological weapons, such as the plague and tularemia, as well as pathogens of economically significant infections".

Kirillov added that such projects as P-364, 444, and 781, aimed at "studying the spread of pathogens of dangerous infections through insect vectors, wild birds and bats, were funded in the interests of the US Department of Defence".

He also said that Russian intelligence found three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) fitted with chemical sprayers in the Kherson region of Ukraine in March.

"We're concerned over the fact that on 9 March, in the territory of the Kherson region Russian reconnaissance units discovered three UAVs equipped with 30-litre containers and equipment for spraying chemicals. According to available data, in January 2022, Ukraine purchased more than 50 similar devices that can be used to apply biological formulations and toxic chemicals", Kirillov stated.

Separately, the head of the Russian MoD's radiation, chemical, and biological protection forces revealed the names of American and European employees of the Ukrainian Science and Technology Centre (STCU), which was engaged in research in the interests of the US military biological programme.

"I will give the names of officials who were involved in the implementation of military biological programmes. The post of Executive Director of the STCU is held by US citizen Curtis Bjelajac. Born on 27 August 1968, in California, he studied at the Anderson University of Management in California [โ€ฆand] has been working in Ukraine since 1994", Kirillov said. According to him, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Nonproliferation Programmes Phillip Dolliff supervises on behalf of Washington.

Suspended mayor denies 'Mafioso-like threat', says he could have done more to stop bullying

 

A public inquiry has heard suspended Wingecarribee mayor Duncan Gair concede he could have done more to protect staff from repeated acts of bullying, harassment and intimidation from other councillors.

Key points:

 

Duncan Gair said he felt many people who gave evidence against him had an "axe to grind" and he'd come to inquiry with a "red bullseye" on his head

He denied a claim that he intimidated a woman after a meeting in a "Mafioso-like" fashion

Mr Gair raised concerns that the suspension of the council and the inquiry were politically motivated

 

The inquiry has been played multiple videos of council meetings where former councillor Gary Turland and suspended councillor Ian Scandrett attacked and criticised staff.

 

While watching the videos, Mr Gair said the other councillors' behaviour was "disgraceful, disgraceful, disgraceful".

 

Counsel assisting David Parish read a report made by a staff member claiming psychological injury after a meeting.

 

The council minute taker said at a meeting on February 26, 2020 Mr Turland was "yelling" at staff and that she felt "uncomfortable at his tone and volume".

 

She said Mr Scandrett supported the "outbursts".

 

The woman said she "felt worried" for her safety and was very distressed when Mr Sandrett called the mayor a "coward".

 

In her complaint she said she was "fearful of Cr Turland's temper and feared the incidents might escalate".

 

She also said she was "nervous leaving the building" and walking to her car.

 

When asked if anything was done about the behaviour Mr Gair said "nothing at that time".

 

In another clip played to the inquiry, Mr Gair interrupts Mr Turland for making a "threat" against the general manager Ann Prendergast and another female staff member.

 

Mr Gair acknowledged no action was taken in response to the attack on staff during or after the meeting.

 

Mr Parish challenged Mr Gair as to why the councillors had not protected the staff.
