The Wiggles have been blasted on social media after hinting at a β€œnew collab” with US rapper Lil Nas X.

 

The popular children’s music group posed for a picture with the controversial American rapper, who was holding a purple Wiggles shirt, at Falls Festival in Melbourne.

 

The children’s entertainers cheekily captioned the image: β€œNew collab in the wind?” - sparking outrage among furious fans.

 

β€œSuch a shame, my daughter loved The Wiggles. I don’t see how someone who lap dances the devil in their music videos is a good candidate for working in the children’s music industry,” one infuriated mother wrote.

 

The 23-year-old rapper, who is in town on his Australian tour, has copped backlash in the past over his controversial music video for his number one hit Montero (Call Me By Your Name).

 

In the clip, the artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, rides a stripper pole to hell and gives Satan a lap dance, before removing the devil’s horns and placing it on his head.

 

Fans of The Wiggles were left enraged by the idea of the group collaborating with the rapper.

 

β€œWhy are you guys collaborating with someone who worships the devil and put human blood in his sneakers and sold them,” one unimpressed fan wrote.

 

The comment was referencing the rapper’s 2021 special edition β€œSatan Shoes” in which a drop of human blood was added to 666 modified Nike sneakers that sold out in less than a minute.

 

β€˜Oh dear you can’t be serious?’

 

A second fan said: β€œI’m sorry but Lil Nas should have nothing to do with children. Period.”

 

Which provoked a response from another disappointed fan: β€œI agree they need to collab with someone who is a good role model for kids and Lil Nas X is not one of them.”

 

β€œOh dear you can’t be serious? The Wiggles should remain a source of light not dark,” a third concerned fan commented.

 

Another said: β€œWhy Wiggles, WHY!?! You have betrayed us.”

 

One conspiracy theorist even suggested: β€œThey all sold their souls years ago for celebrity, and they’ll do as they’re told.”

 

The comment section wasn’t entirely angry, with many posting their excitement at the possibility of a collaboration.

 

β€œ100 per cent support this can’t wait to take the little one if Lil Nas comes to Melbourne,” one parent said.

 

β€œI WAS WAITING FOR THIS,” another wrote.

 

β€œAwesome just awesome… you guys were such a highlight,” A third added.

 

This isn’t the first hint at a collab between the artists.

Back in April of last year, back and forth tweets between the rapper and children’s group got fans excited.

 

The 23-year-old prompted a discussion after tweeting: β€œTrying really hard to get The Wiggles to co-headline the tour with me. I will keep you guys updated.”

β€œMonday Night Football” brought back a very painful memory for Sharon Hughes, the widow of late former Lions receiver Chuck Hughes.

Chuck Hughes was 28 years old when he collapsed and died in a game against the Bears in 1971. His widow, Sharon, now 77, spoke to NBC News about what went through her mind when she saw Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapse on the field after suffering cardiac arrest Monday night against the Bengals.

β€œI was very emotional,” she said.

Her thoughts turned to Hamlin’s family.

β€œCan you imagine how his mother felt?” Hughes aked. β€œIt’s a horrifying feeling and, well, I just felt so sorry for the whole family last night.”

Hamlin collapsed after a play in which he tackled Bengals wideout Tee Higgins. The 24-year-old safety received CPR on the field and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. He has been listed in critical condition.

 

Chuck Hughes absorbed a hit from two Bears defenders on a 32-yard reception from Lions quarterback Greg Landry. He got up, but a couple plays later, on the way back to the huddle, he made brief eye contact with legendary Bears linebacker Dick Butkus, and collapsed. An autopsy revealed that Hughes had a clogged artery. Presumably from the big hit, a blood clot blocked blood from going to his heart. He also likely had a previous heart attack that season in an incident that had originally been characterized as a spleen injury.

 

β€œIt’s like being in a time warp,” Sharon Hughes told reporter Les Carpenter in 2013. β€œYou know you are there but you are floating in the ether. I don’t know, what is it? Denial? Here I’m 25, he’s 28, you think you can do anything you want to and you never consider the alternative, which is death. Death took place unexpectedly; you have a loss of consciousness. You are just floating.”

The World Economic Forum is now calling for the decriminalization of sex with children, arguing that laws against β€œage gap love,” more commonly known as pedophilia, β€œviolate human rights.”

The New York Times, always at the forefront of the globalist agenda, ran an op-ed arguing that pedophilia is not a crime.

According to the Times, civil rights protections must be extended to pedophiles. β€œWithout legal protection, a pedophile cannot risk seeking treatment or disclosing his status to anyone for support.”

Not to be outdone, CNN countered with an article proclaiming that pedophiles are not β€œmonsters” or β€œsocial deviants living in the shadows.” According to CNN, it’s high-time for society to update its image of pedophiles.

CNN followed up this article with an even more explicit call for sympathy. Rather than considering child molesters the lowest of the low, we should reach out to them and seek to understand them, according to CNN because, they claim, β€œOne cannot choose not to be a pedophile.”

The psychologist Jesse Bering, author of β€œPerv: The Sexual Deviant in All of Us,” also urges the reader to sympathize with child molesters, writing that people with pedophilia β€œaren’t living their lives in the closet; they’re eternally hunkered down in a panic room.”

Salon also got in on the act, urging us to meet pedophiles who mean well.

And the BBC, which famously spent decades covering up for Britain’s most notorious pedophile Jimmy Savile, also wants us to think positively about the new generation of pedophiles.

She is survived by five loving children and their spouses: Joseph Glenmullen, MD, of Cambridge, MA; Thomas Mullen of Boston, MA; Edward Mullen of Newton, MA, and Naples, FL, and his wife Susanne; Mary Kirby of Williamstown, MA, and her husband Kris; and Eileen Mullen of Needham, MA, and her husband Doug Phillips. Her graduate research on early childhood aptitude testing led to her greatest accomplishment: the development of the Mullen Scales of Early Learning, a diagnostic tool now used in school systems and research programs throughout the country. She was the founder and president of TOTAL Child, Inc. For twenty years, she was Vice President and Director of Clinical Services at Meeting Street School in Providence, RI. Before fully retiring, she worked in private practice and as a consulting school psychologist. (Reuters) -A former Colorado funeral home owner was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison on Tuesday for defrauding relatives of the dead by dissecting 560 corpses and selling body parts without permission.

 

Megan Hess, 46, pleaded guilty to fraud in July. She operated a funeral home, Sunset Mesa, and a body parts entity, Donor Services, from the same building in Montrose, Colorado. The 20-year term was the maximum allowed under law.

 

Her 69-year-old mother, Shirley Koch, also pleaded guilty to fraud and was sentenced to 15 years. Koch's central role was chopping up the bodies, court records show.

 

"Hess and Koch used their funeral home at times to essentially steal bodies and body parts using fraudulent and forged donor forms," prosecutor Tim Neff said in a court filing. "Hess and Koch's conduct caused immense emotional pain for the families and next of kin."

 

The federal case was triggered by a 2016-2018 Reuters investigative series about the sale of body parts in the United States, a virtually unregulated industry. Former workers told Reuters that Hess and Koch conducted unauthorized dismemberments of bodies, and a few weeks after a 2018 story was published, the FBI raided the business.

 

In their filing, prosecutors stressed the "macabre nature" of Hess' scheme and described it as one of the most significant body parts cases in recent U.S. history.

 

"This is the most emotionally draining case I have ever experienced on the bench," U.S. District Judge Christine M. Arguello said during Tuesday's sentencing hearing in Grand Junction, Colorado.

 

"It's concerning to the court that defendant Hess refuses to assume any responsibility for her conduct."

 

The judge ordered that Hess and Koch be sent to prison immediately.

 

Hess' lawyer said she has been unfairly vilified as a "witch," a "monster" and a "ghoul," when instead she is a "broken human being" whose conduct can be attributed to a traumatic brain injury at age 18. In court on Tuesday, Hess declined to speak to the judge.

 

Koch told the judge she was sorry and took responsibility for her actions.

 

Twenty-six victims described their horror at discovering what had happened to their loved ones.

 

"Our sweet mother, they dismembered her," Erin Smith said, selling her shoulders, knees and feet for profit. "We don't even have a name for a crime this heinous."

 

Tina Shanon, whose mother was dismembered against her will, told the court, "I've worn many masks to cover the pain. I'll never be OK."

 

It is illegal in the United States to sell organs such as hearts, kidneys and tendons for transplant; they must be donated. But selling body parts such as heads, arms and spines – which is what Hess did – for use in research or education is not regulated by federal law.

Abstract

 

Rationale: The application of prone positioning for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has evolved, with recent trials focusing on patients with more severe ARDS, and applying prone ventilation for more prolonged periods.

Methods: We updated the literature search from a systematic review published in 2010, searching MEDLINE, EMBASE, and CENTRAL (through to August 2016). We included randomized, controlled trials (RCTs) comparing prone to supine positioning in mechanically ventilated adults with ARDS, and conducted sensitivity analyses to explore the effects of duration of prone ventilation, concurrent lung-protective ventilation and ARDS severity. Secondary outcomes included PaO2/FiO2 ratio on Day 4 and an evaluation of adverse events. Meta-analyses used random effects models. Methodologic quality of the RCTs was evaluated using the Cochrane risk of bias instrument, and methodologic quality of the overall body of evidence was evaluated using the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) guidelines.

 

Results: Eight RCTs fulfilled entry criteria, and included 2,129 patients (1,093 [51%] proned). Meta-analysis revealed no difference in mortality (risk ratio [RR], 0.84; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.68-1.04), but subgroup analyses found lower mortality with 12 hours or greater duration prone (five trials; RR, 0.74; 95% CI, 0.56-0.99) and for patients with moderate to severe ARDS (five trials; RR, 0.74; 95% CI, 0.56-0.99). PaO2/FiO2 ratio on Day 4 for all patients was significantly higher in the prone positioning group (mean difference, 23.5; 95% CI, 12.4-34.5). Prone positioning was associated with higher rates of endotracheal tube obstruction and pressure sores. Risk of bias was low across the trials.

 

Conclusions: Prone positioning is likely to reduce mortality among patients with severe ARDS when applied for at least 12 hours daily.
