This new law allows non-citizens in the nationโ€™s capital to vote in local elections โ€“ whether they are residing in the District legally or illegally. The only requirement is they have to establish residency at least 30 days before the election. To add insult to injury, the law also allows foreign nationals working at the Chinese and Russian embassies and those of other foreign nations to vote in local elections.

(Washington, DC) โ€“ Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for records and communications maintained by its leadership, including Chairman Lina Khan, about Twitter and its owner Elon Musk (Judicial Watch Inc. v. Federal Trade Commission (1:23-cv-00692 (ABJ)).

 

Judicial Watch sued after the Federal Trade Commission failed to respond to a November 14, 2022, FOIA request for:

 

Records and communications maintained by Lina Khan, Chairperson, U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) including memoranda, reports, briefings, hand-written notes, email communications, email chains, email attachments and other form of records or communications exchanged regarding or referring to Mr. Elon Musk, CEO, Twitter, or the company Twitter with the below named individuals:

 

(a) Commissioner Noah Joshua Phillips

 

(b) Commissioner Christine S. Wilson

 

(c) Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter

 

(d) Commissioner Alvaro Bedoya

 

Federal Trade Commission document demands to Twitter obtained by the House Judiciary Committee show onerous requests for all documents about Elon Musk and documents concerning Twitterโ€™s work with journalists to disclose to the public the details about the governmentโ€™s and Twitterโ€™s censorship of American citizens. A House report titled โ€œThe Weaponization of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC): An Agencyโ€™s Overreach to Harass Elon Muskโ€™s Twitterโ€ details:

 

Twitter allowed โ€ฆ journalists, as part of their reporting on government censorship by proxy, to review internal communications and correspondence between Twitter employees and federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

 

[T]he FTCโ€™s first demand in its letter sent after the initial installment of the Twitter Files did not concern what private user information may have been at risk. Instead, the FTC demanded that Twitter โ€œ[i]dentify all journalists and other members of the media to whomโ€ Twitter has granted access to since Musk bought the company. The FTC even named some of the specific journalistsโ€”โ€œBari Weiss, Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger, [and] Abigail Shrierโ€โ€”with whom Twitter has engaged on the Twitter Files. The FTC also demanded to know any โ€œother members of the media to whom You have granted any type of access to the Companyโ€™s internal communicationsโ€ for any reason whatsoever.

 

On November 10, the FTC sent two demand letters asking for voluminous information about Twitterโ€™s personnel actionsโ€”terminations and resignationsโ€”and about the Twitter Blue service. To date, the FTC has submitted nearly 60 requests related to Twitter Blue. Some of the FTCโ€™s demands about Twitter Blueโ€”such as when the service was โ€œfirst conceivedโ€โ€”appear to serve little purpose other than to pile on to the already burdensome requests. One such demand came just two days after Twitter reactivated President Trumpโ€™s account. In this letter, the FTC demanded nearly twenty additional categories of information about Twitter Blue.

 

โ€œThe Biden FTC is abusing power to retaliate against Elon Musk for supporting free speech on Twitter,โ€ Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. โ€œAnd now, as this Judicial Watch federal FOIA lawsuit shows, the FTC is trying to cover up this attempt to silence and punish Musk.โ€

Nets Skip GOP Acquiring Bank Records of Hunter Biden's Associates

 

As part of the House Oversight Committeeโ€™s ongoing investigations into Hunter Bidenโ€™s shady overseas business dealings, Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Sunday quietly subpoenaed Bank of America for fourteen years of bank records relating to three of Hunter Bidenโ€™s business associates. On Tuesday, it was widely reported that Comer gained access to those records which reportedly even implicated an unnamed Biden family member. While Fox News Channelโ€™s Special Report dedicated a full segment to the news, all three evening news broadcasts ignored the story.

 

Instead of reporting on the news that Comer gained access to damaging bank records associated with three of Hunter Bidenโ€™s corrupt business associates, ABCโ€™s World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News decided to waste valuable airtime on frivolous stories like gushing over feminazi Congresswoman Pat Schroeder (ABC), tips on sleeping better (CBS), and local weather reports (NBC).

 

During the Special Report segment, congressional correspondent Aishah Hasnie broke news that โ€œHouse Oversight Chairman James Comer says heโ€™s discovered another one of President Biden's family members may be involved in influence peddling.โ€

 

 

 

The reportedly incriminating evidence revealed that a former Clinton administration official and Hunter Biden associate Rob Walker โ€œreceived a $3 million wire from individuals associated with the Chinese Communist Party.โ€

 

Even worse was the revelation that Walker โ€œtransferred those funds into the accounts of three Biden family members,โ€ Hasnie reported.

 

Predictably, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee lost it. Ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) sent a letter to Comer to accuse him of โ€œengaging in these efforts to prevent the production of evidence of former President Trump's misconduct during his time in office.โ€

 

Comer pushed back on that and claimed โ€œI haven't spoken to Donald Trump since he left office. I don't even know who Donald Trump's attorneys are.โ€

 

At the end of her report, Hasnie said her network โ€œreached out to Hunter Biden's attorney looking for a comment,โ€ but โ€œhaven't received one yet.โ€

 

Meanwhile, the three networks will continue ignoring the Hunter Biden scandals for as long as they can until it becomes impossible for them to do so.

Firing off a letter to Comer accusing him of engaging in these efforts to prevent the production of evidence of former President Trump's misconduct during his time in office. Comer rejects that.

โ€œThere is a cottage industry of 501c3s in public policy and in the political arena, trying to shape the future of immigration or education or any other topic,โ€ said Kimberly Fiorello, a former Republican state representative in Connecticut. โ€œIncreasingly they are about elections, election administration, election technology, ballot design, and all with big funding. These groups seem innocuous, but they arenโ€™t innocuous because they are funded by one political side.โ€

 

Many of the progressive groups seeking to influence elections are connected to Arabella Advisors, a Washington-based, for-profit consulting company founded by Eric Kessler, a White House appointee during the Clinton administration.

 

Arabellaโ€™s projects, which include the New Venture Fund, the Hopewell Fund, the Sixteen Thirty Fund and Secure Democracy USA, had combined revenues of $1.3 billion between 2020 and 2021, tax filings show. Nonprofits supported by Arabella in 2020 gave out $529 million to โ€œdefend democracy.โ€

 

That coincided with the rise of private-public election partnerships as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, donated an estimated $350 million to the progressive Center for Tech and Civil Life (CTCL) to support local efforts in the pandemic-challenged 2020 election.

 

The voting was marked by social-distancing rule changes encouraging early and mail balloting, imposing policies that Republicans seek to roll back to pre-pandemic rules. The Defense Department has confirmed that a service member was found dead in a parking lot at the Pentagon.

 

According to Fox News, Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder reported that officers โ€œresponded to a call for a welfare check [for an] unidentified individual.โ€

 

Ryderโ€™s statement noted that โ€œat approximately 3:30 p.m. EDT [Tuesday], the Pentagon Operations Center received a call requesting a welfare check on a military service member.โ€

 

According to the statement, Pentagon police officers responded to the call and searched the main complexโ€™s north parking area. There they discovered thedeceased service member in his vehicle.

 

The death was confirmed by Arlington County Emergency Medical Services personnel.

 

Unconfirmed reports noted the deceased was ADOD Public Affairs Director for the Air Force & Space Force.

 

No additional details on the incident are available. Ryder noted the matter is under investigation.

President Biden's gun control advocacy led him to a "virtual gun-free zone" still wracked with violent crime, where he announced his latest executive order, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., said Tuesday.

 

Biden traveled to Monterey Park, Calif., to stump for the directive, which โ€” in his words โ€” will take "every lawful action possible to move us as close as we can to universal background checks without new legislation."

 

Massie said Biden chose the Golden State to announce such an order because it is where gun control laws have long failed.

 

"[California has] got a higher-than-average mass public shooting per capita and they've got some of the strictest gun laws," Massie said. "In fact, he went to Los Angeles County. Unless you're White and well-connected, you probably can't get a permit to carry a concealed firearm there. Fewer than 1-in-5,000 have a concealed carry permit in Los Angeles County."

 

"So he went to a virtual gun-free zone to announce these programs, and one of the things that he said he's going to doโ€ฆ is to somehow achieve what he calls universal background checks."

 

Massie said the definitions behind Biden's favored jargon would not have prevented any public shooting "in this century," adding that heavily Democratic Maryland and New York previously attempted one of the reforms set forth in the order โ€” to scant results.

 

"Maybe [Biden] went to Hollywood because two of his policies are based in science fiction," he said. "One of them is this โ€˜ballistics databaseโ€™ where you're going to take a fingerprint of a gun using the shell casing or the bullet. New York and Maryland tried this program. They spent tens of millions of dollars and after 15 years, never solved a single crime."

 

Massie added that Biden has pledged to seek out "undetectable firearms," saying that if a gun does not have a metal barrel or brass casing, it'll maim the shooter.

 

"So two of his policies are just science fiction. Maybe that's why he went to Hollywood," he said.

 

The executive order aims to increase the number of background checks to buy guns, promote more secure firearms storage and ensure U.S. law enforcement agencies are getting the most out of a bipartisan gun control law enacted last summer.

 

Biden will also direct his Cabinet to make sure law enforcement agencies understand the benefits of the new law, particularly around red flag laws, which are intended to temporarily remove guns from people with potentially violent behavior and prevent them from hurting themselves or others.

 

Ingraham reported the order empowers bureaucracies as far-flung as the Department of Transportation, under Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
