Funded by allies in the cultural and political battle, former DHS Disinformation Czar Nina Jankowicz is now suing Fox News for defamation of her character and reputational harm.

 

NEW YORK – The head of the short-lived Department of Homeland Security (DHS) disinformation board has launched a defamation suit against Fox News, alleging the network published false reports about her that endangered her life.

 

Nina Jankowicz was tapped to lead DHS’s Disinformation Governance Board, and though the board never held a meeting, it was heavily criticized by the GOP and was regularly covered by Fox News.

 

The purpose of the board was to coordinate disinformation efforts at DHS across topics ranging from migration to addressing plots from Russia and Iran.

 

The Republican National Committee dubbed it the “Ministry of Truth” in a nod to George Orwell’s novel “1984” and couched disinformation as “any speech we don’t like.”

 

Fox News mentioned Jankowicz and her role leading the board more than 300 times in its resulting coverage, with hosts and commentators asserting she planned to censor speech with nicknames like “disinfo overlord,” “disinformation czaress,” and “minister of truth.”

Personally, I believe the bigger picture behind all this we will find the successful DEI approach by activists toward all advertisers. Fox News had the #1 viewer rating, but struggled with advertisers due to the boycotts, activists and controversies that enmesh the political battle space. Essentially, demonetization by activism.

 

What we are witnessing at Fox News is what we might call a self-fulfilling prophecy, when the people in charge of the institution do not align with the content or product the institution is creating. The result is a corporate flippant and caviler approach toward the collapse of the enterprise. The Lawfare operatives are moving in to clean the bones of the carcass.

On May 12, Texas announced that they were introducing a bill to ban the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in their state by the 88th legislature. According to the draftees, CBDC is a bad idea.

 

A Central Bank Digital Currency is the digital form of a country’s fiat currency. CBDC is a liability of the Federal Bank rather than a liability of commercial banks. Texas, a state in the south-central region of the United States, introduced a bill to ban CBDC.

 

The bill states the retail of CBDCs is issued to the general public, establishing a relationship between the Federal Reserve and the consumer. This may result in unprecedented levels of government surveillance and control over the individual’s cash holdings and transactions.

 

A government-controlled digital currency has become a trending topic among government officials, with many against the CBDC idea. This is not the first time a state has banned CBDC. Recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis banned CBDC within the state. Moreover, Senator Ted Cruz stated that the implementation of CBDC would be dangerous to society. In March, Ted Cruz introduced a bill to ban the Federal Reserve from adopting CBDC.

Valenzuela reportedly told the woman exactly how she could abuse the ERIC voter registration system to fraudulently vote multiple times in different states.

 

This event in Washington, DC, was hosted by partisan hack David Becker and his Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR) organization. David Becker is also the far-left operative who founded the ERIC system used in over 30 states, including Arizona, with 35m voter records.

 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates ran away from conservative journalist Laura Loomer’s questions about his election corruption and participation in this far-left election conference on Monday.

 

The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively on the left-wing voter registration drive, disguised as voter roll clean-up, and how it can be abused.

 

As Jim Hoft of The Gateway Pundit reported, “The ERIC database is comprehensive and would be one of the most coveted by bad actors looking to influence an election.”

 

Originally funded by the Soros Open Society, it is now responsible for cleaning the voter rolls in a majority of states, plus D.C. A top election official from each member State is appointed a seat on the ERIC Board or as an Officer, all unpaid positions.

 

Additionally, ERIC does NOT want to know who is voting illegally. Their rules explain that “Under no circumstances shall the members transmit any record indicating an individual is a non-citizen of the U.S.,” as stated in Exhibit A, 2b. If ERIC hears no evil, then they see no evil.

 

This is the first time an elections official has admitted that the system can be abused and illegal voters can go undetected.

 

This could help explain The Gateway Pundit’s previous reporting on whistleblower testimony that voters with out-of-state driver’s licenses were allowed to vote in the Maricopa County 2022 election, which was stolen from Trump-Endorsed candidates. Multiple women, both Democrats, at one Maricopa County voting location were not registered to vote; however, the inspector overseeing that location “called the hotline, and she spoke to someone at the hotline, and then suddenly, she was registered and able to vote a regular ballot,” according to another poll worker.

 

It is unclear whether they voted in multiple states, but this new report from an OMG citizen journalist further reveals that election officials may be in on the scheme. Maricopa County did not respond to The Gateway Pundit’s request for comment.

GOP Whip Emmer Calls for Mayorkas Impeachment: ‘Children Are Disappearing, People Are Getting Killed’

 

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) called on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to be impeached on Friday, saying the chief border official’s “failure to act” necessitates Congress removing him from his position.

 

Because Mayorkas has not resigned, “he should be impeached,” Emmer told Breitbart News.

 

The Minnesota Republican, while speaking during a one-on-one interview in his Capitol Hill office Friday, delved into the heated topic of impeachment, saying the overwhelmed southern border represents the “greatest malfeasance” at the hands of President Joe Biden’s top border official.

 

“They talk about being humane. Children are disappearing. People are getting killed,” Emmer said. “You’ve got 80 people that have come across the southern border that are on the terrorist watch list.”

 

Emmer’s comments come the day after Biden lifted the Title 42 border barrier, a policy former President Donald Trump implemented in the name of coronavirus that has served as one of the last tools for border officials to work to stem waves of illegal migration.

 

Prior to Thursday, the Biden administration had seen more than five million encounters of illegal migrants at the southern border, according to federal data.

 

“This, to me, is the greatest malfeasance, and malfeasance is — it’s not a failure to act — it’s an intentional failure to act. Mayorkas should be impeached,” Emmer said. “I think we should be talking seriously about that regardless of what this feckless Senate might want to do.”

 

Emmer, the number three Republican in the House, moreover concluded that the Biden administration has “blood on their hands,” a comment that is similar in gravity to what House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) said one day prior at a press conference.

 

“Mayorkas is guilty of child abuse, in my opinion, by not vetting the sponsors of the parents, supposedly, or sponsors of these children,” McCaul told reporters minutes after the House passed Republicans’ marquee border security bill on Thursday.

 

Emmer’s commentary is however GOP leadership’s strongest rebuke yet of Biden’s border chief and serves as an escalation from earlier this year, when the Minnesota Republican said impeachment was merely “possible” given the surging illegal migration that has occurred since Biden took office.

 

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News during this interview in March that he was open to considering impeachment proceedings against Mayorkas.

 

“The one thing I’ve always said is we’re not like Democrats; we don’t do impeachment just for political purposes,” McCarthy said. “But if something rises to that occasion — that’s why we will do all the homework on what has transpired down here and if that reaches to an impeachment inquiry, we’ll follow through with that.”

 

Emmer, when pressed further on taking such an escalatory step against Mayorkas, doubled down on his remark.

 

He acknowledged that while some in his conference may have “constitutional disagreements” over whether impeachment is the appropriate move, “actual law and the precedent that’s been set” indicate impeachment is the next action.

 

“I know that we’re going to have members — much like other constitutional disagreements we’ve had, there’s probably going to be a member who says … who’s a stickler about high crimes and misdemeanors,” Emmer said. “I believe if you look at the actual law and the precedent that’s been set — and forget about the phony impeachment stuff that the Democrats have been doing for political stunts — this one’s a real, real issue. You can see the pictures live every day. You have an administration and an idiot that’s in charge of the border. I don’t know where 85,000 children went.”

 

“Please,” Emmer said. “It’s time for him to go. He should do the honorable thing and resign. He won’t. Therefore, he should be impeached.”

Rep Issa Calls for Investigation of Hatch Act Violations by CIA Inspector General

 

Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent a letter Wednesday to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Inspector General to request the agency investigate findings by the Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, displaying current employees of the spy agency “[advancing] partisan political interests” of the Biden campaign in the lead-up to the 2020 election.

 

The 65-page “interim report,” compiled by the Judiciary Committee, Intel Committee, and Weaponization of the Federal Government Select Subcommittee released Wednesday details how at least one CIA employee allegedly had a role in obtaining signatures for the now-debunked statement that 51 former intelligence officials signed, casting doubt on the Hunter Biden laptop series published in the New York Post in 2020.

 

Rep. Issa’s letter requests the IG investigate violations of laws prohibiting executive branch officials, namely law enforcement and national security agency employees, from participating in political activity.

 

Rep. Issa’s letter to the IG begins:

 

I am writing to request your office investigate the participation of CIA employees in the coverup of the Hunter Biden laptop story in the final days leading up to the 2020 Presidential election. Recently revealed information provided to Congressional investigators suggests that taxpayer resources and CIA staff may have been used to aid the Biden 2020 presidential campaign.

 

As you know, the Hatch Act requires a clear dichotomy between the constitutional and statutory duties of federal officials and any political or campaign-related activities in which they engage. Federal law detailed under 5 U.S.C. § 7323(b)(2)(B) further restricts employees within federal law enforcement and national security agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency.

 

“These employees may not take an active role in political activity, even while off duty.”

 

Issa adds that the investigation by the IG is necessary to further the Congress’s work in assessing how government power is abused — the core focus of the subcommittee.

 

“So that Congress can effectively consider whether taxpayer resources and intelligence organizations are being used improperly to advance partisan political interests of the Democratic Congressional candidate and the Democratic party, I ask for your swift review of all necessary materials,” the letter concludes.

 

Issa told Breitbart News that he requested an IG investigation to create separation with the administration in investigating a matter that has an obvious conflict of interest, saying, “No one is buying that the Biden Administration can credibly and transparently investigate itself.”

In a recent opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court used female pronouns to refer to a man who identifies as a woman.

 

The case pertains to a transgender woman from Guatemala who is seeking to remain in the U.S.

 

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson delivered the high court's opinion in the case, and she was joined by Justices John Roberts, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Justice Samuel Alito filed a concurring opinion, in which he was joined by Justice Clarence Thomas.

 

"Petitioner Leon Santos-Zacaria (who goes by the name Estrella) fled her native Guatemala in her early teens. She has testified that she left that country, and fears returning, because she suffered physical harm and faced death threats as a transgender woman who is attracted to men," Jackson wrote in the opinion, using female pronouns to refer to the man.

 

"Santos-Zacaria eventually sought refuge in the United States. Her first stay in the country was brief, and she was removed by immigration authorities in 2008. In 2018, she returned and was apprehended again by immigration authorities," Jackson wrote. "At that point, Santos-Zacaria sought protection from removal, including withholding of removal based on the likelihood she would be persecuted in Guatemala."

 

President Joe Biden nominated Jackson to serve on the Supreme Court after pledging that he would nominate the first black woman to the nation's high court.

 

"We kept our promise to put the first Black woman on the Supreme Court, and we've appointed more Black women to the federal circuit courts than all previous presidents combined—and we're not done yet," Biden tweeted on Friday.

 

During the confirmation hearing last year, Jackson made headlines when she said she could not define the word "woman" and noted that she is not a biologist.

U.S. bank deposits decline for second straight week

 

Deposits at commercial U.S. banks declined in the week ended May 3, according to the Federal Reserve on Friday. Deposits fell to $17.15 trillion from $17.16 trillion in the prior week, the Fed said-cap#2. There has been a steady erosion in deposits as interest rates have risen. A main reason is that money-market funds are offering higher rates for consumer savings. At the beginning of March, bank deposits were $17.66 trillion. At the same time, lending at commercial banks fell to $12.13 trillion from $12.14 trillion in the prior week. That’s the first decline in five weeks.

 

Key details: Deposits at large banks fell to $10.70 trillion from $10.71 trillion in the prior week. Small banks saw their deposits shrink slightly to $5.247.2 trillion from $5.247.5 trillion in the prior week. Big bank lending fell to $6.71 trillion from $6.72 trillion in the prior week. Lending at small banks fell to $4.384 trillion from $4.386 trillion in the prior week. Big picture: After rising at a steady upward trend, bank lending peaked in November and came down sharply as the year began. Since then, bank lending has been treading water. In addition to causing deposit outflows, the Fed’s rapid rate hikes has lowered the value on bank assets, leading to stress in the banking sector and three major banks failures. In response, banks are tightening their loan standards.

 

Senior bank lending officers told the Fed this week in a quarterly survey that they expect they will tighten standards on new loans all year.

 

Economists are worried that if banks tighten credit too much, it could sour consumer confidence and lead them to cut back spending. This would hit the economy at a fragile time when second quarter GDP growth is already tracking at a paltry 0.2% annual rate. The University of Michigan reported Friday that consumers are growing concerned, causing the index of consumer sentiment fell in May to its lowest level since November. Biden EPA Announces Toughest-Ever Rules For Power Plant Emissions

 

After weeks of buildup, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unveiled its strictest-ever rules for power produced using natural gas, coal, and oil that could spur the use of carbon capture technologies.

 

The standards released on May 11 would impact new and old power infrastructure, including new natural gas turbines and the country’s existing coal fleet. Though the United States still has hundreds of coal plants, the number of such installations has fallen sharply during the past decade.

 

“We will see some coal retirements,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan told reporters on May 10.

 

He added that individual states and companies would have significant discretion in terms of implementation.

Felon Who Worked On Flint Mayor’s Campaign Arrested For Allegedly Grooming, Raping Child; Has HIV

 

An HIV-positive Flint, Michigan, man who has volunteered for Democrat Mayor Sheldon Neeley was arraigned on Thursday and charged with grooming and raping a child with the intent to spread his potentially deadly infection.

 

In a video posted to social media, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson announced that the Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team (GHOST) arrested 55-year-old John Cole on charges of a dozen sexual crimes.

 

Cole “was known as a member of the community who, like many others, occasionally showed up to volunteer for the mayoral campaign,” the mayor’s office said in a statement shared with The Daily Wire, adding that he was “never employed by the city of Flint or the Neeley campaign.”

 

Cole, who until recently went by John Peters, was previously convicted of not telling partners that he has HIV before engaging in sex with them and served seven years in prison, according to Swanson. The convicted felon has now been charged with 12 counts, including one count of child sexually abusive activity and three counts of accosting a child for immoral purposes, ABC 12 reported.

 

Swanson called Cole a “groomer” and a “predator,” accusing the Flint man of using cunning tactics to befriend a minor at a community event in December 2022 before he later allegedly sexually assaulted the victim. Cole allegedly connected with the minor because they shared a birthday.

 

“Predators are always looking for some type of connection,” Swanson said. “That’s their grooming tactic. So they use that in order to get into where they can perform their sexual acts and take away the innocence of these individuals, and in this case, infect them with a fatal disease in many cases.”

 

In February, Cole allegedly picked up the victim to go watch a high school basketball game. However, on their way to the game, Cole “diverted” to a business in Flint and “aggressively started to sexually assault the young victim,” the sheriff said. Then in March, Cole allegedly assaulted the minor victim again at a bowling alley.

 

Swanson said his department was made aware of Cole’s alleged sexual assaults last month when the family of the victim came forward with the allegations.

“As soon as we heard the name Johnny Peters trying to be camouflaged with another innocent name of John Cole, we knew exactly the intent,” Swanson said.

 

The sheriff then showed screenshots of text messages allegedly sent by Cole to the victim. One message allegedly shows Cole telling the victim, “Listen, don’t even worry about that. I’ll give you money. You buy your own games. You should’ve called me I’m trying to take care of you. I’m not playing any games. I give you the money. You [buy] your own Playstation, whatever you want but you gotta do your part.”

 

In another message, Cole allegedly sent pictures of hundreds of dollars in cash to the victim with the message “Call me.” Swanson called Cole “one of the most vile” groomers he’s arrested in his nearly 40 years of being in law enforcement.

 

“This is going on 35 years and he’s still doing what he does,” Swanson said.

 

Cole strongly supported Flint Democrat Mayor Sheldon Neeley and had volunteered for his campaign in the past. Photos posted online showed Cole at Neeley’s election night party and posing for a picture with the mayor.

 

“Political antagonists may try to embellish this association and make it more than it is,” Neeley’s office said.

 

“Cole seems to have presented himself as a close associate of the mayor in order to ingratiate himself to other community members, but in reality, he was an incidental acquaintance,” the statement added. “We are focused on supporting the victims and raising awareness about how to protect the most vulnerable members of our community from these types of abuses.”

 

The Democrat mayor has not answered a Daily Wire inquiry into whether Neeley’s office knew about Cole’s previous conviction and imprisonment for sex crimes before it allowed him to volunteer for the mayor’s campaign.

 

Sheriff Swanson ended his video by asking for anyone who either had consensual sex with Cole or was victimized by his alleged grooming to come forward.

Judge Finds Federal Age-21 Rule For Handgun Purchases Unconstitutional

 

A 54-year-old federal prohibition on the sale of guns to Americans between 18 and 20 years old has been ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge in Richmond, Virginia. The Justice Department is expected to appeal and ask for the ruling to be put on hold as the case is further adjudicated.

 

The case has three plaintiffs, all between 18 and 20 years old. One, John "Corey" Fraser, was refused when he attempted to buy a Glock 19x from a Federal Firearm Licensed Dealer (FFL). The other two want to buy a handgun but haven't tried, in light of Fraser's experience.

 

The challenged provision of the Gun Control Act of 1968 didn't prohibit possession by 18- to 20-year-olds, it only made it illegal for FFL's to sell handguns to them. Rifles and shotguns have no such federal restriction.

Jan. 6 pipe bombs at RNC, DNC were inoperable, says ex-agent who contradicts FBI’s official story

Nearly two years ago, a person wearing a sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, a pair of Air Max Speed Turf shoes with a yellow Nike logo, a backpack and gloves walked through Capitol Hill alleys equipped with what federal investigators say were two live pipe bombs.

Now a former FBI agent who worked on the case says the pipe bombs planted near the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee a day before Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol were inoperable.

The former agent, Kyle Seraphin, said that technicians who worked in the Joint Program Office for Countering IEDs told him that the devices left at the RNC and DNC were incapable of detonating.

“The devices were primitive and had all the components you would have for a bomb, but they weren’t assembled like a real bomb,” he said. “They would have never gone off. There was no chance they could have actually detonated. So they were inert devices. They just looked good.”

His account contradicts the FBI‘s official version that the bombs could have gone off at any time that day — a story the bureau repeated in January when offering a $500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.

“Although these bombs did not detonate, it is important to remember the suspect walked along residential and commercial areas in Capitol Hill just blocks from the U.S. Capitol with viable pipe bombs that could have seriously injured or killed innocent bystanders,” the FBI‘s news release said. “Moreover, the suspect may still pose a danger to the public or themselves.”

“They would have exploded. They could have exploded,” Steven D’Antuono, the former assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office told ABC News chief justice correspondent Pierre Thomas last year. “They are viable devices that could have gone off and exploded, causing a lot of serious injury or death.”

Mr. D’Antuono has since retired from the FBI.

Mr. Seraphin stressed that investigators don’t know whether the devices were intended to be inert.

The FBI did not respond to a request for comment.

Former FBI Assistant Director Christopher Swecker said the bureau sometimes withholds or circulates incorrect information to protect the investigation, though he didn’t know if that was the case with the pipe bombs.

“You’re really not supposed to put out … any information about the investigation. And that’s the golden rule, and initial reports are often not correct, or garbled,” he told The Washington Times.

“It probably still qualifies as a weapon of mass destruction, even if it’s the tiniest little pipe bomb … whenever you have the ingredients together, even though you’re too incompetent to actually make it go off or wire it,” he said.

Former FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam also said it is common practice to withhold information that could reveal sources and methods or compromise leads in an investigation.

He offered another take, however. He said that if the FBI leadership had a “leftist” political agenda in the pipe bomb investigation, perhaps they “don’t want it getting out that there was nothing to this.”

The bomber is believed to have carried the devices, which were made of threaded galvanized pipes, kitchen timers and homemade black powder, in a backpack.

At a congressional hearing, Rep. Thomas Massie, Kentucky Republican, recently asked ATF Director Steven Dettelbach about the status of the pipe bomber investigation. The congressman said he assumed the devices were likely inoperative given the timers used.

Mr. Dettelbach refused to give any details about the ongoing investigation.

Mr. Seraphin, who was suspended from the FBI in April 2022 after refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccine and eventually fired last month for alleged unprofessional conduct, also criticized the bureau’s early handling of the pipe bomb investigation.

He said that within days of the discovery of the bombs, FBI investigators review closed-circuit video of the masked pipe bomber as he traveled through the Washington Metro system.

What’s shocking, Mr. Seraphin said, was that early on the FBI linked the suspected bomber to a D.C. MetroRail SmarTrip card. The card indicated the individual got off at a Northern Virginia stop after planting both devices on Jan. 5.

“So they tagged the entrance time and the exit time to that card to that guy. And then they found out who bought the card. And the guy who bought the card was not the guy who was using it,” Mr. Seraphin said.

“The card had never been used before. It was bought a year prior by a retired chief master sergeant in the Air Force, and he was a security contractor. So, he held a security clearance.”

The FBI had surveillance video that showed the suspect enter a car with a visible license plate after exiting at a metro stop in Northern Virginia.

“So what they did is they tied, whoever the person was that dropped the bomb with cameras all the way through through the train and getting into a car with that license plate,” Mr. Seraphin said.

“Now, at the end of the day, that makes the guy such a person of interest, but it doesn’t make him the subject… It could have been anybody associated with [the suspect] but it was the place to start.”

Mr. Seraphin and his team surveilled the retired airman, who lived in a Northern Virginia townhouse, for a couple of days and learned about his background.

Although Mr. Seraphin, who also served in the Air Force, wanted to approach the Air Force veteran and talk to him, his bureau superiors forbade him to do so before his team was removed from the case.

“I don’t know what they [eventually] did on that case, but I know that it was BS and the bombs were BS, and it seems like they had a good lead, and they could have run it down. But as far as I know, they never did,” he said. “He may still be occasionally surveilled. That’s how dumb it gets.”

Mr. Swecker, the former FBI assistant director, said he couldn’t explain why the Air Force veteran wasn’t more aggressively pursued.

“That’s a lot of good lead material there to work with. And you can peel back layer after layer using that information. I’m just astounded,” he said. “It just doesn’t add up. There’s just way too much material there to work with. … There’s just too much video, financial transactions, a car, a Metro card. There’s just too much to work with there to not know who this guy is.”

The devices were placed outside the two buildings between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2021, but law enforcement did not find them until the following day.

U.S. Capitol Police and agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were called to the RNC‘s office at about 12:45 p.m. on Jan. 6.

Another call came in about 30 minutes later about the device found at the DNC headquarters nearby, as agents and bomb technicians were still examining the bomb at the RNC. No one was hurt, and federal officials said both bombs were rendered inoperable.

The FBI released surveillance video that showed a person wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a mask and gloves placing one of the explosives under a bench outside the DNC.

Another surveillance video shows the same person walking in an alley close to RNC headquarters before the bomb was planted there.

When offering the $500,000 reward in January, the FBI said it has poured significant resources into the pipe bomb investigation.

The bureau said its agents and its partners in law enforcement have conducted approximately 1,000 interviews, visited more than 1,200 residences and businesses, collected more than 39,000 video files and assessed nearly 500 tips.

“We remain grateful to the American people, who have provided invaluable tips that have helped us advance the investigation,” said David Sundberg, assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office. “With the significantly increased reward, we urge those who may have previously hesitated to contact us — or who may not have realized they had important information — to review the information on our website and come forward with anything relevant.”

“Despite the unprecedented volume of data review involved in this case, the FBI and our partners continue to work relentlessly to bring the perpetrator of these dangerous attempted attacks to justice,” he said.

A straphanger who was on the subway when former Marine Daniel Penny placed Jordan Neely in a fatal chokehold said Thursday she’s “praying” for Penny after it was revealed the 24-year-old would face charges tied to the high-profile case.

“I hope he has a great lawyer, and I’m praying for him,” the 66-year-old woman, who did not want to be identified, told The Post Thursday night. “And I pray that he gets treated fairly, I really do. Because after all of this ensued, I went back and made sure that I said ‘Thank you’ to him.”

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office confirmed Thursday afternoon Penny would be charged with second-degree manslaughter.

He is expected to surrender to authorities Friday morning.

The subway rider said Neely, who had a history of mental illness, was threatening passengers after he hopped on an F train in Manhattan.

“He said, ‘I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet, I’ll go to jail’ because he would kill people on the train,” the woman said of Neely. “He said, ‘I would kill a motherf—er. I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet. I’ll go to jail.’”

The retiree said Penny did not initially engage with Neely during the wild rant until things got out of hand and he felt the urge to step in.

“This gentleman, Mr. Penny, did not stand up,” the rider said. “Did not engage with the gentleman. He said not a word. It was all Mr. Neely that was … threatening the passengers. If he did not get what he wants.”

Neely had a criminal history with more than 40 arrests, law enforcement sources previously told The Post.

In just three years, New Zealand has slipped from being the “most Islamic country in the world”, and Muslim community leaders say they are not surprised.

In the 2019 Islamicity Index, Aotearoa was ranked first overall, followed by Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark and Ireland.

But the latest Islamicity rankings – 2022 reveal we have fallen behind those six nations, plus Norway and Finland, with Denmark taking out the top spot.
