This regime change has been more than a century in the making. Initially, it flew under the Stars and Bars while hollowing out its meaning. Now it has its own emblem, the pride flag.

NASCAR star Jimmie Johnson's parents-in-law have been found dead along with his nephew in a suspected murder-suicide.

 

Jack and Terry Janway, parents of Johnson's wife Chandra Janway, were found dead shortly after 9pm last night, according to TMZ.

 

Their grandson, Dalton Janway, 11, was also found dead, with all three suffering from gunshot wounds at their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Morgan Stanley Bet on Ukraine’s Debt Returns 47% in Three Months

 

A bet on exotic Ukrainian debt warrants held by Morgan Stanley Investment Management is offering some of the biggest returns across emerging markets in the space of three months. A short-lived mutiny in Russia lifted Ukrainian assets this week on bets that any disarray among Russia’s top brass could benefit President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s efforts to support the economy and carry out a counteroffensive. That upswing in prices included the GDP warrants — originally born from a 2015 debt restructuring — which Morgan Stanley has been holding, according to a disclosure earlier this year. The $3.2 billion in August 2041 notes, whose payouts are linked to economic growth, jumped to 40 cents on the dollar this week from 27 cents at the end of March. Morgan Stanley bought some of the notes according to quarterly ownership data on Bloomberg dated March 31. A New York-based Morgan Stanley Investment Management spokesperson declined to comment on the purchases and whether it has sold some of the notes after the rally- (if you have to ask if they did, in fact, dump (sell) this all or a large portion you don't belong in any markets…of course they did!)

 

Ukraine’s sovereign dollar bonds beat other emerging markets and as a whole have returned more than 30% this quarter, with most of the gains registered in June, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Corporate bonds also generated the best returns in their category. Even aside from the fallout from the uprising in Russia at the weekend, Ukraine’s economic outlook has started to look slightly less bleak than a few months ago. While trading in Ukraine’s markets has been illiquid after the government froze foreign-bond payments on its $20 billion debt pile until 2024, bonds have been supported by the prospect for more western financing, as well as an initiative to use frozen Russian assets to pay for reconstruction.

Operation Northwoods was a proposed false flag operation that originated within the US Department of Defense of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for CIA operatives to both stage and commit acts of terrorism against American military and civilian targets, blaming them on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. Russia drops charges against Wagner Group as leader Yevgeny Prigozhin states coup was not their goal

Russia has reportedly dropped criminal charges against Yevgeny Prigozhin and other members of the Wagner group. This after the group, led by Yevgeny Prigohzin, was said to be advancing on Moscow last week.

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prigozhin had come to an agreement that resulted in amnesty for Wagner fighters. The development came about after Wagner troops claimed to have taken over a military installation in southern Russia near the Ukrainian border and begun a march toward Moscow.

 

An announcement by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) further revealed that Prigozhin and his associates would not face any criminal charges. Prigozhin said to be exiled to Belarus.

 

The Russian Defense Ministry announced Wagner soldiers were prepared to give military equipment to the Russian army, according to the New York Times.

 

The Wagner group, a pirvate militia, which is made up of roughly 25,000 soldiers, has a wide range of military equipment, including aircraft, tanks, and rocket launcher systems.

 

“It was established that its participants stopped their actions directly aimed at committing a crime on June 24,” the FSB said in a statement. “Taking into account these and other circumstances of value to the investigation, the investigative agency resolved on June 27 to terminate the criminal case.”

 

Last week, Putin claimed that Prigozhin’s activity was a “criminal, adventuristic campaign,” and “equivalent to armed mutiny.” Prighozin had issues with leading members of the Russian military. In his Monday message, he said that the Russian military was seeking to destroy his group, and that he was not seeking to overthrow the government, as many in the west had speculated.

 

Prigozhin released an audio message on Monday, saying that "We started our march because of an injustice. Civilians came out to meet us with Russian flags and Wagner emblems, they were happy when we arrived and walked past them."

 

"On the way," he continued, "we did not kill a single soldieron the ground. In a day, we were only 200 kilometres away from Moscow."

 

"We entered and completely took control of the city of Rostov. The civilians were glad to see us. We showed a master class on how February 24, 2022, should have looked like.We did not have the goal of overthrowing the existing regime and the legally elected government, which was said many times.We turned around to not shed Russian soldiers' blood."

 

As part of the agreement between Putin and Prigozhin, the Wagner troops will become part of the Russian forces, under the control of the Russian Defense Ministry, by July 1.

‘Another majority White region’: Toxic train derailment in Yellowstone prompts accusation Biden is trying to poison Republicans

Conspiracy theorists are convinced that someone intentionally caused a railway bridge to collapse and poison the water supply for white conservatives.

 

On Saturday, a bridge over the Yellowstone River in Montana collapsed, sending portions of a freight train careening into the water. The seven railcars that went into the river were carrying molten sulfur and hot asphalt. Officials have taken multiple safety precautions, including shutting off drinking water intakes and implementing emergency measures at water treatment facilities due to the “potential hazmat spill," per the Associated Press.

 

It's not yet known what caused the bridge to collapse. The American Society of Civil Engineers 2021 Infrastructure Report Card found that over 45,000, or 7.5%, of America's bridges are structurally deficient. The report gave Montana, where the Yellowstone River bridge collapsed, a C"" on its infrastructure report card.

 

For people who see conspiracies everywhere there look, there's only one explanation: It was done on purpose.

 

"Sabotaged," wrote one.

 

Another person suggested the collapse means "we're at war." They did not say who the country is supposedly battling.

 

One theory is that the government is intentionally allowing the nation's infrastructure to degrade.

 

A more outlandish claim holds that the bridge was blown up.

 

As usual, many of the railway bridge conspiracy theories claim that the collapse is a distraction. It's not clear what most think it was supposed to distract from, though some have suggested it is all designed to keep people from paying attention to the "Biden crime family."

 

"Ok so the Sub didn't work, Wagner group didn't work, @PeteButtigieg your turn big guy…" wrote one. They were referring to the Titanic submersible disaster and the leader of a Russian paramilitary group temporarily turning on Vladimir Putin, both of which happened in the last week.

 

Others shared similar theories.

 

Few of the theories delved into why anyone would cause the Yellowstone bridge to collapse and dump hazardous materials into the river.

 

Far-right conspiracy theorist Lauren Witzke was among the handful of people who forayed into this arena. She believes it was done to poison white people.

 

"Meanwhile in Montana a freight train has crashed into the Yellowstone River and is believed to be leaking hazardous materials," Witzke wrote on Telegram. "Another majority White region in America being poisoned with toxic sludge."

 

She was referring to the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment from earlier this year. That trainwreck also spilled hazardous materials into a body of water and gave rise to a wide range of conspiracy theories.

 

However implausible, Witzke's theory proved to have some cache with other similarly-minded people. Her followers blamed Jewish people and the deep state. Multiple Telegram channels, including one run by a chapter of the Proud Boys, uncritically shared her post.

 

Others seemingly independently came up with the same idea. "We knew it was only a matter of time until they poison[ed] the water. I'm seeing more frequent train derailments in red states. Why is that?" one wondered.

 

Another simply said, "Demonic Dems."

 

Two of the nation's largest drinking water crises in recent years occurred in the majority-Black cities of Flint, Michigan and Jackson, Mississippi. Numerous studies have found that racial minorities are exposed to higher amounts of pollution than white people.

DeepMind said Robocat, however, can quickly learn new tasks, such as fitting various-shaped puzzle pieces into the proper holes or placing fruit in a bowl. While RoboCat initially achieved a 36% success rate tackling tasks it had not previously learned, it improved its performance over time. Through self-training, its success rate doubled.

 

"RoboCat learns much faster than other state-of-the-art models," DeepMind researchers said. "It can pick up a new task with as few as 100 demonstrations because it draws from a large and diverse data set."

 

The development is seen as a major step towards accelerating robotics research, "as it reduces the need for human-supervised training, and is an important step towards creating a general-purpose robot."

 

The paper, "RoboCat: A Self-Improving Foundation Agent for Robotic Manipulation," was published June 20.

 

Will such robots eventually dispense with the need for human intervention?

 

That question was addressed 100 years ago in the 1921 play "R.U.R.: Rossum's Universal Robots," a tale by Czech writer Karel Čapek.

 

The play imagined a factory that created synthetic humanoids that worked continuously and eventually shrank labor costs by 80%. The word "robot" was used for the first time in this play, after the Czech word "robota," which meant "forced labor by serfs."

 

In the end, the robots rebelled and extinguished humanity.

 

RoboCats, we can hope, will be friendlier.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled against North Carolina Republicans, who were fighting for a congressional map that would be in their favor.

 

The justices ruled 6-3, withChief Justice John Roberts and Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett siding with the court's three liberal members.

 

The U.S. Supreme Court sided with the North Carolina Supreme Court, which had concluded that the district map constituted a partisan gerrymander.

 

In its decision Tuesday, the high court declined to embrace the so-called "independent state legislature" theory, which Republicans argued limits state courts from being able to strike down some election laws.

 

The Supreme Court has made decisions against state legislatures in two other cases involving congressional maps this year in Louisiana and Alabama. However, those cases involved minority voting districts, rather than the power of state courts.

The laser produced an average power of 12 W, principally at 1.5 μ, with an overall efficiency of 0.54% when operating at a pulsed repetition frequency (PRF) of 8 kHz. As we have been reporting, a civil lawsuit in Federal Court is pitting the US Virgin Islands Government against America’s largest bank, JPMorgan Chase.

 

The territory alleges that the financial services giant enabled Epstein’s recruiters to pay victims in large quantities of cash, and was ‘indispensable to the operation and concealment of the Epstein trafficking enterprise’.

The lawsuit has brought to light a dizzying array of information regarding the Jeffrey Epstein trafficking ring and its workings, as well as victims, clients, enablers and co-conspirators.

 

Since there is more than enough blame to go around, in its defense, JPMorgan has filed documents showing just how deeply some top USVI officials were involved in his affairs. You can read it here.

 

Now that the defense filing by the bank has been unredacted, new details have come to light.

“JPMorgan Chase said the US Virgin Islands gave Jeffrey Epstein more than $ 300 million in tax incentives and waived sex offender monitoring requirements, shielding the disgraced late financier as he gave cash and gifts to top officials and local police.”

 

Just to put into perspective the dimension of the tax incentives he received from the USVI, it’s estimated that, by the time of his death, Epstein was worth $600 million.

 

The filing revealed how he paid law enforcement entities such as the Virgin Islands Police Department and even top officials.

 

“The newly unredacted filing is part of JPMorgan’s effort to show that the US Virgin Islands, including former first lady Cecile de Jongh, ‘actively facilitated’ Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women and teenage girls.

 

[…] The bank has said Cecile de Jongh managed Epstein’s local companies for eight years and helped arrange visas for some victims, in exchange for Epstein providing a salary, bonuses and tuition for her children’s schools.”

 

Cecile de Jongh certified that Epstein was a ‘bona fide resident,’ waived restrictions on his ability to travel, and shockingly even sought his opinion and approval for changes in the sex offender legislation in the territory.

 

JPMorgan agreed a few days ago to pay $290 million to settle a lawsuit by dozens of Epstein’s accusers, pending court approval, but the bank is actively defending itself against the territory government.

 

While Epstein remained a JPMorgan client from 1998 until 2013, it alleges that the USVI has ‘unclean hands’, and therefore legally can’t seek damages in civil court.

Russia to legalize cryptocurrency – official

 

Digital money could be used in foreign trade, according to Anatoly Aksakov

 

Cryptocurrency will become legal tender subject to strict controls in Russia as the use of digital assets is growing rapidly, the head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets Anatoly Aksakov said on Saturday.

 

Cryptocurrency traders “want to be legalized” as they are “ready to work in a legal space because… [foreign] banks are sometimes afraid to interact with Russian banks and conduct settlements with Russia,” he said.

 

According to Aksakov, digital currencies could be used in foreign trade transactions and it is necessary to control their “movement” to avoid “irregularities.”

 

The use of digital currencies is limited in Russia due to restrictive legislation including President Vladimir Putin’s 2020 law on digital financial assets, which legalized cryptocurrencies but banned their use for goods and services.

 

However, Russia’s Finance Ministry has recently pointed to the benefits that digital currencies can offer, such as no correspondent accounts, instant transactions, and practically no compliance procedures, which should be taken into account in foreign trade.

 

This year, Russia became the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency mining country, according to Bitriver, the nation’s largest bitcoin miner.

 

There are still no uniform international laws that regulate cryptocurrencies, which are notorious for their high volatility. The most popular crypto, Bitcoin, was worth a fraction of a cent when it was launched in 2009 and shot up to nearly $69,000 per coin in November 2021. The price of Bitcoin is currently above $30,000.

Biden approves $500M Ukraine military aid package for counteroffensive campaign

 

The US will send another $500 million in military aid to Ukraine as Kyiv works to reclaim Russian-occupied territory in its ongoing counteroffensive, the White House announced Tuesday.

Whistleblower No. 2: Hunter Biden Willfully Evaded Millions in Taxes Through Elaborate Tax Scheme

 

Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty last week to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay taxes on time, but according to the second whistleblower whose testimony was also released last week by the House Ways and Means Committee, he also willfully evaded paying millions in taxes in an elaborate tax scheme.

 

According to the second whistleblower — the lead IRS case agent for the Hunter Biden investigation whose name is redacted — Hunter Biden set up a scheme involving a Ukrainian natural gas company he sat on the board of and a Chinese business associate to willfully evade paying taxes.

 

The whistleblower said Hunter Biden had already owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes long before his father became vice president. In 2014, when the Joe Biden was in his second term as vice president in charge of Ukraine policy and when Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma, put Hunter on its board of directors, Burisma paid Biden $666,667 to do little or no work.

 

According to the whistleblower, Hunter Biden received the money from Burisma, and instead of reporting it as income and paying taxes on it, he put that money into a Chinese firm run by one of Hunter Biden’s associates, who then “loaned” the money to Hunter Biden.

The numbers issued Tuesday by the U.S. Small Business Administration inspector general are much greater than the office’s previous projections and underscore how vulnerable the Paycheck Protection and COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs were to fraudsters, particularly during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.

 

The inspector general’s report said “at least 17 percent of all COVID-EIDL and PPP funds were disbursed to potentially fraudulent actors.” The fraud estimate for the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan program is more than $136 billion, which represents 33 percent of the total money spent on that program, according to the report. The Paycheck Protection fraud estimate is $64 billion, the inspector general said.

 

In comments attached to the report, a senior SBA official disputed the new numbers. Bailey DeVries, SBA’s acting associate administrator for capital access, said the inspector general’s “approach contains serious flaws that significantly overestimate fraud and unintentionally mislead the public to believe that the work we did together had no significant impact in protecting against fraud.”

 

The SBA inspector general had previously estimated fraud in the COVID-19 disaster loan program at $86 billion and the Paycheck Protection program at $20 billion.

 

The Associated Press reported June 13 that scammers and swindlers potentially swiped about $280 billion in COVID-19 emergency aid; another $123 billion was wasted or misspent. The bulk of the potential losses are from the two SBA programs and another to provide unemployment benefits to workers suddenly unemployed by the economic upheaval caused by the pandemic. The three initiatives were launched during the Trump administration and inherited by President Joe Biden. Combined, the loss estimated by AP represents 10% of the $4.2 trillion the U.S. government has so far disbursed in COVID relief aid.

 

The SBA inspector general, Hannibal “Mike” Ware, said in a statement Tuesday that the report “utilizes investigative casework, prior (inspector general) reporting, and cutting-edge data analysis to identify multiple fraud schemes used to potentially steal over $200 billion from American taxpayers and exploit programs meant to help those in need.”

Whitaker to Newsmax: 'Too Much Evidence' of DOJ Interference

 

There is now "too much evidence" that Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice interfered with the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden and didn't allow charges to be brought against him, former acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker said on Newsmax Tuesday.

 

"There needs to be a full investigation into who blocked this investigation and who prevented U.S. Attorney [David] Weiss from Delaware from bringing charges that he felt were warranted under both DOJ policy and federal criminal law, so that needs to be found out," Whitaker said on Newsmax's "Wake Up America."

 

His comments come after the House Ways and Means Committee last week released transcripts of testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who detailed claims of how the IRS and the DOJ hindered the investigation into Hunter Biden on tax evasion charges.

 

"We need to know what Merrick Garland knew and when he knew it," said Whitaker. "Was he lying to the American people, or were they just so clueless about what's going on at DOJ that he is essentially a figurehead?"

 

Whitaker also on Tuesday discussed CNN's report concerning an audio tape of former President Donald Trump involving a discussion at his Bedminster golf club that has been included in the grand jury's indictment in Florida against him.

 

"It's another disgusting leak from [special counsel] Jack Smith," said Whitaker, who also accused Smith of "trying to try this case in the public opinion."

 

"I think that is just inappropriate and inconsistent with the principles of federal prosecution," he said. "That being said, you know there's going to be a trial … the question is not whether or not a document was declassified. The question is was this national defense information under the Espionage Act? Did President Trump know that?"

 

Meanwhile, the "bar is very high" to prove the case against Trump and the leaks such as the audio to CNN are because "they're trying to spoil the jury pool," said Whitaker. "In addition, another special counsel is investigating President Joe Biden and his illegal possession of classified documents."

 

But there haven't been any leaks from that case like there have been in the case against Trump, Whitaker said.

 

"What they're trying to do is they're trying to influence the election and the primary and that is disgusting," he added.

 

Meanwhile, he pointed out that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., is "looking seriously" at impeaching Garland, but first, "they've got to figure out who was lying."

 

McCarthy also supports expunging Trump's impeachments, but Whitaker said he doesn't know if that can happen.

 

"The House makes their own rules and we've seen it only takes a majority of the House to impeach a president but three-quarters of the Senate to convict," he said. "Speaker McCarthy has those tools to reverse those impeachments and he can do that. [With Trump] those charges were so weak and [then-Speaker] Nancy Pelosi was so ideologically left that all she wanted to do was get Trump."
