if the Maui market is so hot and the per square feet price is so high, even with this disaster, why should the government subsidize building any of it?

even with this disaster the investment ought to give a great return.

I say give money straight to the victims of the fire and do not give a penny to any developers and third parties who didn't get burned out of their homes.

but the way it works: FEMA hands money to contractors who don't even live there to rebuild it all, and then welfare subsidizes the rents . . .

so the money never goes to the locals but to the overlords.

I've been trying to archive a few things for days, but it often gives me the error seen in the picture attached.

Does anyone have any advice?

FWIW I've already saved the pages on the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) but I like to save it on the two systems because I'm thorough.

The onset of de novo autoantibodies in healthcare workers after mRNA based anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccines: a single centre prospective follow-up study

 

Abstract

Nowadays, data concerning the risk of autoimmune disease after SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) vaccination is controversial. The aim of this single centre prospective follow-up study was to evaluate whether healthcare workers (HCWs) vaccinated with BNT162b2 mRNA and mRNA-1273 will show a development and/or a persistence of autoantibodies, focussing on the detection of antibodies against nuclear antigens (antinuclear antibodies, ANA). We enrolled 155 HCWs, however only 108 of them received the third dose and were considered for further analysis. Blood samples were collected before vaccine inoculation (T0), at 3 (T1) and 12โ€‰months (T2) after the first dose. All samples were analysed for the presence of a) ANA using indirect Immunofluorescence [IIF] (dilutions of 1:80, 1:160. 1:320 and 1:640), and anti-smooth muscle antibodies (ASMA); b) anti-myeloperoxidase (anti-MPO), anti-proteinase 3 (anti-PR3) and anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies (aCCP) [FEIA]; c) anti-phospholipid antibodies (anticardiolipin [aCL], anti-beta-2- glycoprotein I [anti-รŸ-2GPI] (Chemiluminescence). Line-blot technology was performed using the following kit: EUROLINE ANA profile 3 plus DFS70 (IgG). Our research suggests that mRNA based anti-SARSCoV-2 vaccines can induce the production of de novo ANA in 22/77(28,57%) of subjects and that the percentage of positivity seems to be directly correlated to the number of vaccine expositions: 6/77 (7,79%) after 2 doses; 16/77 (20,78%) after 3 doses. Since it is known that hyperstimulation of the immune system could lead to autoimmunity, these preliminary results seem to further sustain the idea that the hyperstimulation of the immune system might lead to an autoinflammatory mechanism and eventually to autoimmune disorders. However, the link between SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and the development of autoimmune diseases needs to be further investigated.

ConclusionsIn conclusion, this study suggests that mRNA based anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccines can induce the production of de novo ANA in 22/77(28,57%) of subjects and that the per-centage of positivity seems to be directly correlated to the number of vaccine exposures: 6/77 (7,79%) after 2 doses; 16/77 (20,78%) after 3 doses. As it is known that immune stimulation can act as a double-edged sword, meaning infec-tious and endogenous defense versus autoimmune related hyper-stimulation[55,56], our preliminary results and the presence of de novo ANA antibodies in HCWs seem to be more prone to sustain this second consequence: hyperstim-ulation. However, the link between SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and the development of autoimmune diseases needs to be further investigated.

Single cases of Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) in temporal proximity to COVID-19 vaccination have been reported. Demographic data, medical history, and detailed information regarding vaccination status and RP characteristics were obtained from patients with confirmed RP after COVID-19 vaccination. Fifteen participants reported the initial manifestation of RP, which occurred in 40% after the first, in 33% after the second, and in 27% after the third vaccination. RP development and occurrence of episodes were not linked to any specific vaccine type. New onset of disease was observed in 40% of the vaccinees after BNT162b2, in 33% after mRNA-1273, and in 27% after ChAdOx1 vaccination. Three out of four participants with preexisting RP prior to COVID-19 vaccination reported aggravation in frequency and intensity after immunization. Although COVID-19 vaccination is pivotal in controlling the pandemic,the observed temporal association between vaccine administration and RP occurrence warrants global activities to support pharmacovigilance for the detection of adverse reactions, one of which may include RP.

Publix heiress, funder of Jan. 6 rally, gave $150,000 to GOP attorneys general association

A wealthy Trump donor who helped finance the rally in Washington on Jan. 6 also gave $150,000 to the nonprofit arm of the Republican Attorneys General Association, records show, funds that a person familiar with the contribution said were intended in part to promote the rally.

The nonprofit organization paid for a robocall touting a march that afternoon to the U.S. Capitol to โ€œcall on Congress to stop the steal.โ€

 

On Dec. 29, Julie Jenkins Fancelli, daughter of the founder of the Publix grocery store chain, gave the previously undisclosed contribution to RAGAโ€™s nonprofit Rule of Law Defense Fund, or RLDF,

records reviewed by The Washington Post show. On the same day, the records show that Fancelli gave $300,000 to Women for America First, the โ€œStop the Stealโ€ group that obtained a permit for

the rally featuring former president Donald Trump.

 

Funding for the events in Washington that day is a focus of the House select committee investigating the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol that followed the rally.

The panel is also interested in the role state officials, including attorneys general, played in encouraging people to go to Washington on Jan. 6 and in supporting Trumpโ€™s efforts to overturn the election,

according to people familiar with the committeeโ€™s work.

 

The leaders of Women for America First have been subpoenaed by the committee, as has Caroline Wren, a Republican fundraiser who was listed on that groupโ€™s permit as a โ€œVIP ADVISOR.โ€

Both of Fancelliโ€™s donations were arranged by Wren, according to the records and the person with knowledge of the contributions, who like some others interviewed for this story spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

 

โ€œWe have many questions about coordination and funding, and we are actively seeking records and testimony that will answer those questions,โ€ said committee spokesman Tim Mulvey.

โ€œMany witnesses are already engaging with the committee, and we expect cooperation to help us get the answers weโ€™re seeking.โ€

 

The documents sought by the subpoenas sent to rally organizers were due Wednesday.

 

Fancelli, who is not involved in Publix business operations, did not respond to multiple requests seeking comment, and it is unclear if she knew about the robocall ahead of time.

In a statement to the Wall Street Journal, which reported in January that Fancelli had given approximately $300,000 to support the rally,

she said: โ€œI am a proud conservative and have real concerns associated with election integrity, yet I would never support any violence, particularly the tragic and horrific events that unfolded on January 6th.โ€

 

Alex Jones, a far-right talk show host and conspiracy theorist who was involved in the Jan. 6 rally, has said that it cost โ€œclose to half a million dollars.โ€

He has also said a donor he did not identify paid for 80 percent of the rally.

 

In a statement to The Post, Wrenโ€™s lawyer said: โ€œMs. Wren, in her role as an event planner, assisted many others in providing and arranging for a professionally produced and

completely peaceful event at the White House Ellipse with hundreds of thousands of Americans who were in D.C. to lawfully exercise their first amendment rights, a primary pillar of American democracy.

Ms. Wren was not present at the United States Capitol or the Capitol Grounds on January 6th.โ€

He said he hired his own private security but added that he later found out that the leader of the Oath Keepers, Stewart Rhodes, โ€œwould assign someone to us.โ€ CNN previously reported that

Rhodesโ€™ Oath Keepers protected Jones at multiple โ€œStop the Stealโ€ rallies and that some were tasked with providing a personal security detail for Jones and Alexander on January 6.

 

โ€œI had 12 to 14 security people,โ€ Jones said, elaborating that he hired a โ€œwell-known private security companyโ€ based out of Texas that provided him with personnel composed of โ€œDC and Maryland police.โ€

 

โ€œI go and try to get professional people,โ€ Jones added, joking that they were probably Democrats.

 

Jones did say that everywhere he went, people โ€œof every different typeโ€ followed him around.

 

He revealed that he had eaten at a Hooters restaurant with some members of the Proud Boys after attending a rally in Georgia prior to January 6.

 

Jones, referring to the indictment of Rhodes on seditious conspiracy charges, said that if the Oath Keepers were attempting to foment a violent rebellion, itโ€™s not something he knew about or desired.

 

The committee acknowledged specifically in its subpoena to Jones that once at the Capitol, he had told people โ€œnot to be violentโ€ and to gather and wait for Trump to speak.

Even though Trump never went to the Capitol that day, the committee said the location where Jones had told people to wait โ€œcoincidedโ€ with the place that

โ€œStop the Stealโ€ rally organizer Alexander had obtained a permit for that day.

 

On his show, Jones said he had tried to discourage people from entering the Capitol but described containing the crowd as โ€œmission impossible.โ€

 

โ€œWe learned there were a bunch of people inside the Capitol,โ€ Jones said. โ€œAnd that was so stupid and so dumb. I didnโ€™t support it that day and I donโ€™t support it now.โ€

 

โ€œWe got the hell out of there once we couldnโ€™t stop it,โ€ Jones later added, calling January 6 a โ€œhorrible historic fiascoโ€ and saying he wished it had โ€œnever happened.โ€

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones met virtually on Monday with the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection, he announced on his broadcast.

A source familiar with the investigation confirmed the meeting to CNN.

 

โ€œI just had a very intense experience being interrogated by the January 6 committee,โ€ Jones said on his broadcast on Monday. โ€œThey were polite, but they were dogged.โ€

Jones said that, by his lawyerโ€™s count, he had pleaded the Fifth Amendment โ€œalmost 100 timesโ€ and that he had been told to do so โ€œon advice of counsel.โ€

 

Jones said that while he had wanted to answer the questions, he was afraid to do so because he believes that the committee, specifically Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, would twist his words,

and Jones said he had been afraid of not answering all questions correctly and potentially perjuring himself.

 

โ€œThe questions were overall pretty reasonable,โ€ Jones said. โ€œAnd I wanted to answer the questions, but at the same time itโ€™s a good thing I didnโ€™t,

because Iโ€™m the type that tries to answer things correctly even though I donโ€™t know all the answers, and they can kind of claim that thatโ€™s perjury, because about half the questions I didnโ€™t know the answer to.โ€

 

Jones said he had been shown โ€œa bunch of emailsโ€ that he had not seen before. He also said he believes that the committee has gotten access to his phone because he was shown text messages from his phone,

including messages with January 6 rally organizers Cindy Chafian and Caroline Wren, who also have been subpoenaed by the committee.

 

โ€œThey have everything thatโ€™s already on my phones and things, because I saw my text messages to Caroline Wren and Cindy Chafian and some of the event organizers,โ€ Jones said.

 

On his show, Jones shared that the panel had asked him repeatedly who his White House contact was to help with rally planning and organizing.

Jones said that Caroline Wren, a major fundraiser for the Donald Trump campaign, was his contact for rallies on January 5 and 6.

Jones suggested that Wren was with a group of officials at the Ellipse on January 6 who led him โ€œto the back of the stage so we could then go and get around the crowd and go lead the march.โ€

Jones said he had sought to direct people to a spot near the Capitol where organizer Ali Alexander planned to hold a permitted rally. He said he did not support people going into the Capitol, which he called โ€œso stupid and so dumb.โ€

In its subpoena letter to Jones, the committee cited news reports and his own statements to make the connection between Jones, Wren and Chafian and said the three worked toward โ€œfacilitating a donor,

now known to be Julie Fancelli, to provide what (he) characterized as โ€˜eighty percentโ€™ of the fundingโ€ for the rally on the Ellipse on January 6.

 

The committee stated that Jones had been denied a speaking spot at the January 6 rally but that his previous comments indicate he had been designated to โ€œlead a march to the Capitol,

where President Trump would meet the group.โ€

 

Jones said on Monday that it was the belief of those at the Capitol that Trump was going to join them in some capacity after his speech at the Ellipse on January 6.

Jones said he heard from witnesses to the committee that Trump had told his then-chief of staff, Mark Meadows, that he wasnโ€™t going to meet his supporters at the Capitol

but could drive by or fly over the crowd with a helicopter because he had done that at other large events.

Jones said Trump โ€œkept marvelingโ€ at the size of the crowd and that the then-President โ€œwas super excitedโ€ about the number of people gathering at the Capitol.

Jones also relayed on Monday that the committee had asked him whether he had heard of any plans for violence on January 6.

Jones said the only talk he had heard about possible violence was through news reports and that he was not privy to any insider information. He described it as โ€œbackground noiseโ€ that you โ€œalways hear about politics in America.โ€

 

โ€œThere was, you know, headlines about insurrection acts and Trump was all over the news. But I was getting this from the news like everybody else,โ€ Jones said.

 

He denounced any suggestion that he had been involved in the planning of violence at the Capitol.

โ€œLetโ€™s get something clear for the committee and my audience and everybody else: I donโ€™t want a civil war in this country, and thatโ€™s a terrible idea,โ€ he said. โ€œAnd I donโ€™t want lawlessness by anybody.

And I donโ€™t want anybody attacking anybody, OK?โ€

 

โ€˜So stupid and so dumbโ€™

Jones acknowledged that he uses rhetoric about fighting but said that applied only to the information wars. He has repeatedly used hostile rhetoric and references to war in his messages about the election.

 

โ€œInfoWar means we fight with information,โ€ Jones said, adding that it was a โ€œnonviolent war.โ€

 

The committeeโ€™s subpoena to Jones referenced comments from a guest host on his program on December 31, 2020, that seemed to foreshadow the riot.

โ€œWeโ€™re going to only be saved by millions of Americans moving to Washington, occupying the entire area, if necessary storming right into the Capitol,โ€ the host, Matt Bracken, had told viewers.

 

On his show Monday, Jones condemned those comments that had been made on his show, claimed he hadnโ€™t heard them before he had received the subpoena and said, โ€œQuite frankly, I was shocked by it.โ€

 

Jones also shared that he had learned from his deposition that the committee listens to his show almost every day.

Robert Oโ€™Neill, former Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden, arrested in Texas

 

The former Navy SEAL who claims to have killed Osama bin Laden was arrested in Texas this week.

 

Robert J. Oโ€™Neill, 47, was booked Wednesday in Frisco and slapped with a Class A misdemeanor charge of assault causing bodily injury and a Class C misdemeanor charge of public intoxication, although jail records listed only the assault charge, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Frisco police declined to release more information Friday about the arrest.

Oโ€™Neill was released the same day on a $3,500 bond.

Oโ€™Neill had been in town to record a podcast at a local cigar lounge.

He did not respond to a request for comment from The Post.

A former SEAL Team 6 member, Oโ€™Neill came to wide public prominence after he took credit for firing the shots that killed 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden during a covert raid in 2011.

Oโ€™Neill recounted the story in his 2017 memoir โ€œThe Operator.โ€

The United States government has never confirmed or denied the story.

Some of the boys were then groomed to be sex slaves to perverts, the report claims.

 

The alleged abuse went on for years, with one of the males claiming the nuns even frequently visited their college dorms after they had left the convent.

He said the nuns often drugged him and delivered him to predatorsโ€™ apartments. The Order of Sisters of the Divine Redeemer did not answer multiple requests for comment about the allegations.

Catholic nuns running a children's home in Germany pimped out boys to priests, politicians and businessmen who would rape the children at sex parties, according to a victim who has won a compensation battle.

Darmstaft Social Welfare Court awarded the man, now 63, compensation after he detailed how nuns dragged him to be abused by priests and powerful men at parties, starting at age five. They paid the women for doing so.

 

The victim, who remains anonymous, said he was raped around 1,000 times during his time at the home in the 1960s and 70s, alongside other boys.

The court ruled on the case in May but the latest abuse scandal for the Catholic church only came to light this month after a senior clergyman spoke publicly.

The Bishop of Speyer, Karl-Heinz Wiesemann publicly named former official of the diocese Rudolf Motzenbรคcker, who died in 1998, as being allegedly involved in the abuse. The bishop said three further victims have since come forward.

 

The abuse victim was just five when he joined the home run by the Order of the Sisters of the Divine Saviour in the German city of Speyer in March 1963.

 

The victim said he was 'literally dragged' by the nuns to Motzenbรคcker's apartment to be sexually abused, reports Der Spiegel. They would beat him when he resisted.

The man, who was an alter boy at the Speyer Cathedral, said he was assigned the priest as a confessor.

 

The victim said visitors to the children's home would abuse him at 'sex parties'.

It was here that he said the nuns would pass youngsters aged between seven and 14 to clergymen, local politicians and businessmen.

'The nuns were pimps,' he said. If they disobeyed they would be beaten with sticks or have their heads smashed against the wall.

German nuns in the city of Speyer received money for luring children to predatory priests who sexually abused them, local media reported from recently released court documents.

One victim, Karl Haucke, filed a court case seeking compensation from the Catholic church and alleging more than 1,000 instances of abuse over the 10 years he lived at a now-shuttered children's home, Deutsche Welle reported.

The case was decided in May, but the documents were only recently released. Haucke was awarded $18,000 for his suffering, the outlet reported.

The Bishop of Speyer has identified the primary abuser as a vicar named Rudolf Motzenbรคcker, who is now dead.

The abuse is alleged to have happened in the 1960s and 1970s.

Haucke said he was "literally dragged" by nuns to Motzenbรคcker's home where he was abused, Der Spiegel reported.

If he resisted, Haucke alleged, he would be beaten.

A Texas man opened fire on a pair of suspects who tried to break into his home over the weekend in a wild scene caught in doorbell footage.

 

One of the suspects, Aaron Contreras, knocked on the apartment door of Ethan Rodriguez on Saturday evening and claimed to be a maintenance worker there to check on the filters in his air conditioner, according to doorbell camera footage and an affidavit obtained by Fox Dallas.

 

Rodriguez, who was inside, answered the door via a digital doorbell app on his phone and claimed that no one was home, the video shows.

 

A few minutes later, Contreras came back with a handgun and attempted to kick down the front door to Rodriguezโ€™s apartment, according to the clip.

 

A second man wearing a mask ran up the stairs and also tried to kick in the door, the footage shows.

 

Within moments, Rodriguez grabbed his gun and opened fire from inside his apartment through the front door โ€” sending the men running.

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

According to my calculations, Trump will receive more votes than the fake Biden tally of 81 million in 2020.
