Rebel News’ Ezra Levant appears in court to appeal fine over marketing for anti-Trudeau book

 

"Never before has a Canadian author been investigated, interrogated and fined for a political book."

 

Rebel News' Ezra Levant found himself in court yet again on Thursday, this time defending freedom of speech after the federal government targeted him over a book he wrote prior to the 2019 election that was critical of Justin Trudeau.

 

The Libranos, which was published just days before the campaign kicked off, dove into allegations of corruption in the Liberal Party, and featured a cover image of the prime minister and his cabinet in the style of the Sopranos.

 

During the election period, Levant and Rebel News distributed lawn signs promoting the book. Elections Canada alleged that the signs amounted to "third party election advertising," and argued that since the media company had not registered as such, it was in violation of official policies.

 

Levant countered that claim by stating, "It's not a political campaign plan; it's a journalistic campaign plan. Our competitors aren't the Liberals. Our competitors are the Media Party."

 

He highlighted the fact that numerous other books about Trudeau were published around the same time and had gone unpunished, however Elections Canada said his book was different because there was reason to believe it would not have been released had a contest not been called.

 

A July 2021 review by Elections Canada Commissioner Yves Côté determined that Levant and Rebel News had violated the Act by failing to include a message of authorization on the lawn signs, and failing to register as a third party. Côté ordered Levant to pay a $3,000 fine, however he refused, and the matter was then taken to court.

Canadian police SHUT DOWN 1 Million March 4 Children speech by Meghan Murphy after far-left trans activists attack the stage

Attendees of a parental rights gathering led by the 1 Million March 4 Children group were forced to vacate after a group of pro-trans activists rushed the state during an ongoing address delivered by women’s and parental rights activist Meghan Murphy, leading police to shut Murphy’s speech down entirely.

 

Shortly after the occurrence, which took place in Victoria at one of many 1 Million March 4 Children events that were held Wednesday, Murphy posted on X: “The trans activist terrorists won. They rushed the stage and the cops had to shut down the entire event half way through my speech because it was too dangerous for us to continue.”

 

She added, “You ramped up hate and put us in danger @JustinTrudeau @KasariGovender @cupenat @Dave_Eby @KenSimCity. Protect women, children, and families in Canada!”

 

Another user shared a clip that appeared to show a pro-trans activist being arrested after the alleged stage rush.

 

In the clip, a police officer can be seen angrily telling an event attendee, “Now, I will pull the plug… I will pull the plug… turn it off, or I’m walking over there right now! Right now!”

 

“Here’s the clip from the TRA rushing the stage,” the user wrote in a post along with the video. “I kinda feel like that cop just wanted to stop you all from speaking. Maybe I’m wrong…”

 

Murphy responded to the clip, “He was freaked out and they were unprepared to deal with the protesters. Which they should have been.”

 

1 Million March 4 Children is an advocacy group that protests against the indoctrination of children in schools, especially as it pertains to pushing LGBT agendas upon students.

 

Canada’s CBC has made no effort to hide its bias when reporting on the matter; the state-funded outlet claimed that “critics and researchers” say that “parental rights” is a “misnomer” as it does not “address the concerns of LGBTQ parents or parents of LGBTQ children.”

 

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a point to “condemn” the apparent “hate” of “Transphobia, homophobia, and biphobia” on the same day that 1 Million March 4 Children held its rallies.

NSW Treasurer Daniel Mookhey ignored pleas for further funding for the Natural Resources Commission. Did he put at risk the monitoring of deforestation and koala protection?

 

In June this year, the NSW Government rejected renewing funding for the Forest Management Improvement Program (FMIP) which essentially monitored state approved native forestry operations (CIFOA), and federal regional forest agreements. The Natural Resources Commission (NRC) was charged with responsibility for the program by the Gladys Berejiklian government.

 

The NRC was charged with developing and overseeing twenty-year monitoring, evaluation and reporting plans for CIFOA and Regional Forest Agreements. The below graph of the role played by NRC demonstrates the extensive scope of the program.

 

The CIFOA requires that the effectiveness of its conditions and the extent to which its objectives and outcomes are achieved are continually monitored.

When asked how the state native forestry operations would be monitored if the September budget failed to restore funding, Maher advised that the responsibilities would be “split up between agencies’ using their current budgets”. These agencies are likely to be staffed from the Forestry Corporation of NSW, Environment Protection Authority (EPA), Department of Primary Industries and the Department of Planning and Environment.

 

The Forestry Corporation drives the forestry industry, using out-of-date scientific research to support its operations, rejecting any attempts to upgrade species declared endangered by the federal and state governments. This, combined with insufficient attention to compliance, cross-agency efforts and future monitoring, is seen as unacceptable by many scientists and ecologists.

 

No attempt has been made to include provisions requiring protection from climate change impacts or wildfires in the CIFOA.

Third IRS Agent Says Joe Biden’s DOJ Blocked David Weiss from Charging Hunter

 

IRS Director of Field Operations Michael Batdorf told the House Ways and Means Committee on September 12 that the DOJ’s tax division opposed charging Hunter Biden during a June 2022 meeting with IRS officials and Weiss.

 

“DOJ Tax would have to authorize charges prior to David Weiss recommending an indictment or prosecution,” Batdorf said in a transcribed interview, the Washington Examiner reported.

 

“So, I mean, my understanding is that, I mean, he can’t make that decision without DOJ Tax authorization,” Batdorf, who was IRS agent whistleblower Gary Shapley’s senior in the IRS chain of command, said.

 

Notes from Shapley show he quoted Weiss as saying he was “not the deciding person” on charging Hunter Biden with tax, gun, and FARA violations.

It may be opposition to the school trans indoctrination problem in particular that compelled leftist Mayor Janice Deccio of Yakima, Washington to call 911 on Sept. 3rd, outraged by the presence of conservative petitioners collecting signatures at a local Walmart to stop schools from hiding information from parents, among other actions. In June of this year, Deccio proclaimed the entire month as "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Asexual, Aromantic, Queer, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary, and Intersex Pride Month" in Yakima, during a city council organized event.

 

Deccio claims she was simply informed by her constituents of “far right wing petitioners” at Walmart “harassing” shoppers, and that she was not aware of what they were specifically collecting signatures for. Petitioners held signs listing their goals, making her assertion less believable.

Armageddon is a Place with a Bloody History.

 

The Bible says Armageddon is a Hebrew name for a place, but our modern word Armageddon is actually a Greek variant of the Hebrew word, Har Megiddon. This refers to the hill or mount of Megiddo which is located in the Jezreel Valley of Israel, roughly 60 miles north of Jerusalem.

The earliest recorded battle in the Jezreel Valley dates back to roughly 2,350 B.C. as part of a successful campaign of Pharaoh Pepi I to suppress so-called “rebels” of the Egyptian dynasty. Records indicate at least 34 significant conflicts have taken place there, many of which had civilization-changing impacts. Secular and biblical history record more known battles fought in that small geographic area than almost any other single place on earth: from Gideon to Saul and Jonathan, Deborah and Barak, Antiochus III of Greece (218 BC), and Napoleon (1799).

Pentagon to continue Ukraine-related activity even if there's a government shutdown

 

The possibility of a government shutdown currently looms in the U.S., but the Department of Defense will continue carrying out Ukraine-related activities even if there is a lapse in government appropriations, Defense Department spokesperson Chris Sherwood informed Politico.

 

"Operation Atlantic Resolve is an excepted activity under a government lapse in appropriations," Sherwood said, according to the outlet.

"When will the aid requests end? When will the war end? Can someone explain what victory in Ukraine looks like?" Paul asked. "With no clear end in sight, it looks increasingly like Ukraine will be yet another endless quagmire funded by the American taxpayer."

A gray SUV struck me while I was in a crosswalk at Warren Avenue after driving recklessly into oncoming traffic and callously left me injured on the road. The accident left me with multiple broken bones, damage to my cervical spine, a lacerated liver, damaged teeth and severe road rash, resulting in an extended hospital stay and surgery with more procedures planned.

My determination to seek justice led me to gather evidence and provide it to the Milwaukee Police Department. Despite challenges and delays in the investigation, we are hopeful to hold this individual accountable for their actions. We appreciate the continued efforts of Alderman Jonathan Brostaff, as well as Nomad World Pub, Club Brady, Jacks American Pub, Würstbar, Nashville North, Halo Saloon, Twisted Plants, Milwaukee Security Cameras, the Brady Improvement District and the countless neighbors who provided Ring camera footage in an effort to track the driver’s movements, all who were instrumental in identifying a suspect.

As I continue my recovery, I am unable to work and face mounting medical bills and financial obligations. I’m reaching out to you, our community, for support during this difficult time. My goal is to raise $2,500 to cover my financial obligations for the upcoming month until I am able to return to work. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and bring me one step closer to getting back on my feet while allowing me the appropriate time to heal. BREAKING NEWS: Smoke seen rising from Idaho National Lab which tests advanced nuclear energy

  • Social media footage appeared to show smoke coming from the ground near Idaho National Lab, which tests nuclear energy projects

  • The INL was established in 1949 on a formal Naval Proving Ground used during the Second World War; since then, 52 reactors have been built on the site

  • DailyMail.com has approached the site and Department of Energy for comment: there have been no publicly-reported abnormalities at the lab on Thursday

 

Smoke has been reportedly seen rising from the desert area above the Idaho National Lab, which carries out nuclear energy tests, according to a report.

 

The cause of the smoke is not yet known, but a photo was shared on social media, with a request for local news to investigate.

 

'@EastIdahoNews, is something on fire at @INL?' asked Micah Spicer.

 

'I haven't ever seen a steam plume in the middle of the desert.'

 

DailyMail.com has reached out to INL and to the Department of Energy for comment.

 

There are no reports of any abnormal activity at the 890-square-mile site.

 

The INL nuclear facilities are located in the remote and sparsely-populated desert about 45 miles west of Idaho Falls, near the town of Arco.

 

The INL is one of 17 national labs currently run by the Department of Energy, and employs 5,700 researchers and support staff 'focused on innovations in nuclear research, renewable energy systems and security solutions that are changing the world,' according to their website.

 

Before the INL was established, the site was the Arco Naval Proving Ground, in use during World War II.

 

Gun barrels from battleships like the U.S.S. Missouri were reconditioned at the Naval Ordnance Plant in Pocatello, 80 miles away, and then taken by train to the Naval Proving Ground.

 

The guns would be test-fired before being sent back to the Pacific for the war.

 

In 1949, the site was turned into the National Reactor Testing Station.

 

There have been 52 nuclear reactors built at the site since it opened.

 

It now is used for a wide variety of research, from recycling and renewable energy to military equipment and space.

Ray Epps Pleads Guilty to Single Petty Misdemeanor Count

Epps faces a maximum of six months in prison and a fine up to $20,000 when sentenced on Dec. 20.

 

WASHINGTON—James Ray Epps Sr. pleaded guilty on Sept. 20 to a single misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge, bringing to a close a lightning-quick prosecution for his actions in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021.

 

Appearing remotely before Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, Mr. Epps pleaded guilty to disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, a Class A misdemeanor with a maximum one-year prison term.

 

A 14-page plea agreement (pdf) filed by federal prosecutors said Mr. Epps would face no more than six months in jail and a fine in the range of $2,000 to $20,000. The document was dated Sept. 6 and gave Mr. Epps until Sept. 15 to accept or reject the plea offer. The agreement was filed with the court on Sept. 20.

 

Judge Boasberg set sentencing for 10 a.m. on Dec. 20.

 

Defense attorney Edward Ungvarsky punctuated the end of his client’s case with a statement denying Mr. Epps ever worked as a federal informant.

 

Mr. Epps will remain free on personal recognizance pending sentencing. No restrictions were placed on travel within the United States, although Mr. Epps will have to surrender his passport.

 

Judge Boasberg ordered him not to possess firearms, rejecting Mr. Epps’s request to retain that right on Second Amendment grounds. As part of his conditions of release (pdf), Mr. Epps was ordered to stay away from Washington D.C., except for court hearings. moar

Of course, the far left members of the council voted against this and far left activists tried to invade the chamber during the vote, but it passed. Is this a sign that some people in the city have finally reached their limit?

Seattle is looking to take a small step in rejoining the civilized world by making illegal drugs illegal again. Those who use or possess illegal drugs can be subject to a gross misdemeanor charge, although police will have wide latitude in how they treat the addict.

This will end up saving some lives.

Zelensky calls on Trump to release his Ukraine peace plan now

 

 

In a Tuesday interview with CNN, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky encouraged former President Donald Trump to share his ideas on how to stop the war with Russia.

 

“He can publicly share his idea now, not waste time, not to lose people, yes, and then say that ‘My formula is to stop the war and stop all this tragedy and stop Russian aggression,” Zelensky told CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. “And he said, how he sees it, how to push Russian from our land. Otherwise, he’s not presenting the global idea of peace.”

 

Zelensky also emphasized that he does not want to give up Ukrainian territory for a peace negotiation. He questioned Trump’s claim of being able to quickly end the war in July.

 

“It seems to me that the sole desire to bring the war to an end is beautiful,” Zelensky told Martha Raddatz on ABC’s “This Week” through a translator. “But this desire should be based on some real-life experience. Well, it looks as if Donald Trump had already these 24 hours once in his time. We were at war, not a full-scale war, but we were at war, and as I assume, he had that time at his disposal, but he must have had some other priorities.”

 

Last weekend, Trump welcomed praise by Russian President Vladimir Putin for the former president’s comments on wanting a speedy end to the war. He said he would get Zelensky and Putin into a room together and figure out a deal.

 

“I like that he said that because that means what I’m saying is right,” Trump said on “Meet the Press” Sunday.

 

Zelensky is visiting the U.S. this week and will meet with U.S. leaders including House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and President Joe Biden. His visit comes at a time when Congress is divided over whether aid to Ukraine should be included in a continuing resolution to keep funding the government.

 

At a press conference Tuesday, McCarthy said he has questions for the Ukrainian leader.

 

“Where’s the accountability on the money we already spent?” McCarthy said, listing off questions he said he would ask the Ukrainian leader when he meets with him. “What is the plan for victory?”
