ISRAELI FORCES LAUNCHED STRIKES ON THE TOWN OF QANA IN SOUTHERN LEBANON– REPORTS

Ten people were killed and 15 others were injured as a result of the attack, Lebanese news agency NNA said.

Earlier in the day, the Lebanese Ministry of Health's Emergency Response Center said that five people, including children, were killed and 16 others were injured as a result of an Israeli strike on the Riyaq settlement in eastern Lebanon.

Vice President Kamala Harris slammed Republican rival Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Monday night over the former president’s comment that the US military should handle “the enemy from within” on Election Day.

It was the latest example of Harris’ campaign drawing sharper distinctions with Trump in the presidential race’s closing weeks, using the former president’s own words and those of his former aides to cast him as dangerous and unstable.

In Erie on Monday, Harris highlighted Trump’s comments Sunday on Fox News, when he said he isn’t worried about his supporters’ actions on Election Day.

“I think the bigger problem is the enemy from within,” he said.

“We have some very bad people. We have some sick people. Radical left lunatics,” Trump told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo.

Harris on Monday warned that Trump’s actions could put people’s freedom at risk.

“You heard his words, coming from him. He’s talking about the enemy within … he’s talking about that he considers anyone that doesn’t support him, or who will not bend to his will, an enemy of our country,” Harris said.

She said later, “He’s saying he would use the military to go after them … and we know who he would target, because he has attacked them before: Journalists whose stories who he doesn’t like, election officials who refuse to cheat by finding extra votes for him, judges who insist on following the law instead of bending to his will. This is among the reasons I believe so strongly that a second Trump term would be a huge risk for America, and dangerous.”

Tired of being undermined and attacked by the executive branch, Border Patrol agents are threatening to quit the federal agency en masse if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the presidential election on Nov. 5.

"I'm not doing this s*** again … four years of hell," one agent, who is not close to retirement, told the New York Post.

Another told the outlet that if Harris is elected, a lot of "guys who can retire will go." If former President Donald Trump wins, however, "they'll stay."

The National Border Patrol Council, the agency's union, endorsed the former president and current GOP presidential nominee in a post on X on Monday.

Insiders say the Border Patrol has experienced plunging morale and subsequent huge turnover in the nearly four years of the Biden-Harris administration.

More than 4,000 employees have left the agency since October 2020, according to the Washington Examiner, leaving approximately 19,000 employees to secure the nation's borders.

Bumping up recruiting bonuses from $10,000 to up to $30,000 and appealing to retired agents to return have reportedly had little impact on the staffing shortage.

Harris and Trump have both promised to address the personnel problem at Border Patrol, if elected, with the former president announcing plans on Sunday to swell the agency's ranks by 10,000 new agents.

Several agents who spoke with the Post on condition of anonymity, however, said that Harris would likely face an enormous staffing crisis at Border Patrol if she is elected to the Oval Office.

"We will have another exodus just because we will have a bunch of 20-year agents saying, 'peace out,'" one agent said.

He also said he expects experienced agents with five to 10 years on the job to seek other employment with their skill sets.

The agent who is not nearing retirement told the outlet he was "absolutely sure" he would exit the agency if Harris is in charge.

"Under this administration, they've done everything they could to make our job as inefficient as possible," one of agents said. "They can't outwardly tell us not to do our job, but when you're watching criminals come in and get released, it sucks."

Sinking morale prompted Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which includes Border Patrol, to hire a licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst to help bring down the spike in suicides. CBP suffered its worst year in 2022, when 15 agents died from suicide.

Billionaire Dr. Miriam Adelson has become the largest individual donor to a presidential super PAC this election cycle, according to independent journalist Yashar Ali.

Citing new Federal Election Commission filings, Ali reported in a post on X that Adelson has now contributed $100 million to her pro-Trump super PAC Preserve America.

In late June, The New York Times reported that Adelson, 79, was planning on shelling out $100 million to support former President Donald Trump's bid to retake the White House.

Adelson and her late husband, casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, gave $90 million in 2020 to support Trump's presidential campaign. Sheldon Adelson died at 87 in January 2021, making Dr. Adelson one of the wealthiest women in the world.

"I'm pretty sure that her North Star going forward is going to be what she thinks Sheldon would have done if he were still alive," former ambassador to Israel under Trump David Friedman told the Times in June.

The Times described the Republican mega-donor and duel Israeli-American citizen as "pro-Israel and rabidly partisan."

Born in Tel Aviv, the former officer in the Israel Defense Forces spends most of her time these days not at the home in Las Vegas that she shared with her husband, but in Israel.

The Adelsons reportedly lobbied Trump during his first administration tomove the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which he ultimately did.According to the Times report, Adelson does not have any particular goals in mind for Trump this cycle.

Adelson selected Republican strategist Dave Carney to lead the Preserve America PAC, and had donated $10 million as of the end of June, but was planning to spend $100 million in three or four states.

"Up until recently, there's been 100% spending from the Biden side and 0% from the Trump side," Carney told the Times. "We will definitely be heard. They will probably spend more money, because they already have a huge head start. But we're starting the game tied."

The Associated Press reported on Monday that Adelson also gave $1 million to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp's super PAC, which will help drive the governor's get-out-the-vote operation on behalf of Trump and other Republican candidates.

Trump is locked in an extremely tight race with Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat presidential nominee, and he lost the Peach State in 2020 by 11,779 votes, or roughly three-tenths of a percentage point.

The Trump campaign is broadly reliant on outside groups for canvassing voters, meaning the super PAC founded by Musk - the world's richest man - plays an outsized role in the razor-thin election between Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris.

Musk, the CEO of electric car manufacturer Tesla, was the sole donor to the group in that period.

Musk, who has said he has voted for Democratic presidential candidates in the past, has taken a sharp turn to the right this election. He endorsed Trump in July and appeared with him at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month.

Musk's donations to America PAC propel him into the exclusive club of Republican mega donors, a list that also includes banking heir Timothy Mellon and casino billionaire Miriam Adelson.

However, Reuters reported earlier this month Musk has secretly funded a conservative political group for years, well before his public embrace of Trump.

America PAC declined to comment on the Musk donations. Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

America PAC is focused on encouraging Americans who like Trump but don't always vote to cast ballots this cycle, a high-risk, labor-intensive strategy by the Trump campaign.

The group, which started its work later in the election than other PACs, has encountered some problems with hiring and its contractors. Since July, it has fired two major contractors it has hired to knock on doors.

It has also struggled to hire door knockers in several battleground states in part because by the time the PAC became operational many other canvassing groups had already staffed up, a half-dozen sources briefed on the issues told Reuters.

The group had around $4 million left on hand by the end of September, the filings show.

Separate filings earlier on Tuesday showed that Miriam Adelson, the casino magnate, donated $95 million to another pro-Trump super PAC, Preserve America PAC, in the same period.

Anonymous United States officials are claiming that the FBI has foiled a plot by ISIS-K to carry out an act of terrorism on Election Day.

According to NBC News, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, who had worked for the CIA in Afghanistan, was arrested by the FBI last week in Oklahoma over an alleged terror plot. According to court documents, Tawhedi had allegedly spoken to a man named "Malik" over his intent to purchase AK-47s.

On Sept. 14, per the court document, Tawhedi and a "co-conspirator" met with an undercover FBI agent and two confidential human sources to purchase guns. On Oct. 7, Tawhedi and the co-conspirator were arrested as part of an FBI sting operation.

The court document goes on to add that as part of his post-arrest interview, Tawhedi said he planned to purchase firearms "for the purpose of conducting firearms training and committing an attack (using the firearms) on Election Day targeting large gatherings of people, during which he and [co-conspirator] expected to be martyred."

The day after Tawhedi's arrest, MI5 Director General Ken McCallum claimed there's been a resurgence of the Islamic State group known as well as an increase in right-wing extremism.

"Today's Islamic State is not the force it was a decade ago, but after a few years of being pinned well back, they've resumed their efforts to export terrorism," he stated. The deadly March concert hall attack in Moscow, he then stated, carried out by offshoot ISIS-K, "was a "brutal demonstration of its capability."

McCallum concluded his press conference with a warning to would-be terrorists, stating that if one takes money from Iran or Russia to carry out terrorist acts in the U.K., "It's a choice you'll regret."

NBC had asked the FBI about the extent of ISIS-K's involvement regarding the alleged Election Day plot, but the FBI refused to answer.

Tawhedi worked as a security guard for the CIA in Afghanistan and arrived in the U.S. in September 2021 on a special immigrant visa after the U.S. withdrew from Afghanistan. He passed two rounds of vetting, and no derogatory information was detected during the process. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, when asked on Oct. 10 about the Election Day plot, refused to answer, saying it's an "active investigation."

Scholars will often ignore the summerian stories, the egyptian tales, the other history of the region. They do not look at the language of the bible and the inconsistencies presented. Sometimes words are translated and there is no real translation for some words even. Lost to antiquity so assumptions about translations were made. They just conveniently, leave out bits and then make assumptions and connections where there are none. no not me. I thought about watching it but I have seen enough of that stuff for a while now from other sauces. There is some truth to that also though that christians if they wanted to be honest would incorporate the problem is as soon as you do you start asking questions that pull on the thread of belief. Preventing those things is good but Jesus is an idea, and sometimes a good one, that has been co-opted by bad people. Even if I accept that narrative, it still means people are not getting truth or honesty about reality. Just a belief to hold on to, sometimes that is all you need. I want and need more. They don't ask critical questions about their faith, just accept it as true and move on because it is easier to just blame demons and others than look at how you are being lied to. Denying Jesus does no such thing, Admitting the world is a fucked up place and that the people ruling it do not care about or love you and that they would lie to you to keep you subservient. That is going to keep things going because you can hide behind the veneer of holyness. Look how it has worked for the catholics.
