JUST IN: Wisconsin Judge Enforces Subpoena Against ActBlue in Lawsuit Over Fraudulent Use of Information for ActBlue Finance Money Laundering AKA “Smurfing”

A Wisconsin judge has approved a subpoena for documents requested in an October lawsuit alleging nearly 400 incidents of identity theft to make fraudulent donations to Democratic campaigns through ActBlue “smurfs.”

 

This could open the door for a range of ongoing investigations into the ActBlue fundraising platform.

 

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on the lawsuit alleging racketeering and identity theft filed by the America First Policy Institute on behalf of Plaintiff Mark Block.

 

Block, a long-time Republican political strategist, alleged that his personal information was used over the previous five months to launder money 385 times to 62 different campaigns and political organizations, including 35 donations to the Harris Victory Fund, through the Democratic ActBlue fundraising platform. This comes after he discovered receipts for ActBlue contributions sent to his pseudonymous email address using the same fake name.

 

"While these fraudulent donations average out to a very small $3.24 per transaction, they conveniently fit into a loophole created by Federal Election Commission (FEC) reporting requirements," the initial complaint states.

 

During a November 21 hearing, Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Brad D. Schimel approved a limited demand for documents to show to what extent fraud was used to make these donations.

 

“Something is not right,” said Judge Schimel. "Plaintiff has set forth enough in their complaint and in support of their subpoena to demonstrate that there may be something here."

 

The judge rejected some of the discovery requests for ActBlue's fraud safeguards but allowed a more narrow request to determine how the likely fraudulent payments using Block's email address were made.

 

ActBlue attorneys argued that they are "not a party to this action" and, therefore, not required to turn over requested documents.

 

However, the judge disagreed, calling ActBlue a “nonparty conduit for contributions” while noting that "something isn't right" and expressing confusion over ActBlue's "substantial resistance to sharing" information on the likely fraudulent donations.

 

The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively on the laundering of money to political campaigns through fraudulent small-dollar donations to ActBlue, also known as “smurfing.” These contributions are made through identity theft, oftentimes using senior citizens’ personal information to funnel money into political causes.

 

Some of the individuals accused of this fraudulent scheme include Soros-funded Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, Soros Funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin (WI), Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock (GA), and Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz.

 

Trump-Endorsed Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake's 2024 race also appears to have been targeted by ActBlue smurfs, helping her opponent Democrat Ruben Gallego.

 

Much of this money appears to come from foreign sources and is being laundered by Democrats through Ukraine. The Gateway Pundit recently reported that former Polish Minister Piotr Kulpa said up to half of the US aid to Ukraine was laundered by Ukrainians, and much was given to US Democrats.

 

Additionally, the Committee on House Administration's chairman Bryan Steil issued subpoenas "related to ActBlue's donor verification policies and the potential for foreign actors to use the platform to launder illicit money into US political campaigns."

 

Steil said in a press release, “The Committee’s investigation uncovered that foreign actors might be taking advantage of ActBlue’s inadequate security protocols. To ensure that foreign money is not being laundered through ActBlue, we are requesting a series of documents and communications related to their donor security and verification policies."

French parliament votes no confidence in Macron’s PM

Michel Barnier is the first prime minister since 1962 to lose a no-confidence vote

 

French Prime Minister Michel Barnier has lost a vote of no-confidence vote in parliament, aslawmakers on both the left and the right united to oust him.

 

A no-confidence motion requires 288 votesin the National Assembly. Wednesday evening’smotion received 331 votes, with the left-wing New Popular Front (NPF) and the right-wing National Rally (RN) uniting in opposition to the minority cabinet imposed by President Emmanuel Macron.

The Russian military has released a new video showcasing the destruction of a military vehicle at the front

 

The Russian Defense Ministry has released a new video reportedly showing the destruction of a Ukrainian armored personnel carrier (APC) by a bomber drone.

 

The thermal video, reportedly taken by the bomber drone itself, was captured at the Vremevka Ledge, a string of villages in the west of Donetsk People’s Republic. The area saw active combat during the ultimately disastrous Ukrainian counteroffensive last year. In recent weeks, it has seen a new uptick in fighting, with the Russian military advancing at multiple locations.

 

The video shows the Ukrainian armored personnel carrier, apparently an old Vietnam War-era US-made M113 or a similar vehicle, poorly concealed in shrubbery. It had apparently sustained a hit offscreen, likely by an FPV kamikaze drone, before the bomber UAV finished it off. The APC is missing its engine cover, its anti-drone netting is torn, and its supports are visibly bent.

 

The bomber drops what appears to be a hand grenade right into the half-open top hatch of the APC, prompting the troops inside to attempt to evacuate.

 

The munition, however, goes off, causing a massive blast and fire inside the APC, likely triggering extra ammo kept inside. The footage ends with a flyover of the destroyed vehicle, with the corpses of its occupants visible from the opened rear ramp.

 

Bomber drones have been actively used by both sides of the conflict, with such UAVs deployed to strike stationary or abandoned vehicles, fixed positions, groups of soldiers, and so on. The bomber drones commonly carry a handful of small munitions, such as hand grenades, modified ammo for automatic grenade launchers, or homemade explosive devices. Heavier models can carry mortar and land mines, engineering munitions and other heavier explosives.

Coup attempt in South Korea: What was it all about?

 

The short-lived period of martial law was the result of a complex internal power struggle and will likely lead to the president’s downfall

 

The political crisis that culminated in South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s short-lived attempt to establish martial law, which was lifted just five and a half hours after he declared it, did not come out of the blue. While the opposition has been quick to spread its own narrative, there is no doubt that the situation is more complex and requires closer analysis.

 

The situation in context

The issue goes back to the 2022 South Korea presidential elections. At that time, Yoon Suk Yeol – a former prosecutor general who, following a conflict with then-South Korean President Moon Jae-in had switched to the conservative camp (despite the fact that earlier, Yoon had prosecuted two conservative presidents) – and won the presidential elections by 0.73%, an unprecedentedly thin margin in Korean history.

 

From the start, Yoon faced a challenge, since the opposition, the Democratic Party, held a qualified majority slightly more than half but less than two-thirds of the seats in the National Assembly.

 

This power dynamic allowed South Korea’s Democratic Party to block presidential initiatives while pushing their own agendas, which in turn were often vetoed by the president. This situation largely paralyzed legislative activity and fueled the polarization of society.

 

The parliamentary elections in April 2024 did little to change things. While these elections have been called a significant defeat for the ruling party, the conservatives actually garnered slightly more votes than four years earlier (108 versus 103). The Democratic Party failed to secure a two-thirds majority, but it still held a qualified majority, which allows to pass or block legislation without regard for political opponents. At that point, it became clear that the crisis that had paralyzed the national legislature would persist for the remainder of Yoon’s term.

 

Simultaneously, the government initiated criminal proceedings against the controversial opposition leader, Lee Jae-myung, who had largely turned the Democratic Party into his personal fan club. There are substantial grounds for the allegations against him, and setting aside the political polarization of society, he would have likely been imprisoned anyway – even considering the fact that five key witnesses in various cases either died or committed suicide before they could testify. In one case, he received a suspended sentence, while another case resulted in acquittal (which was deemed a legal miracle). However, he still faces four additional verdicts.

 

Given that even a suspended sentence approved by the Supreme Court would end Lee’s political career, the situation swiftly evolved into a race of “who will bury whom first”: either the government would convict the leaders of the Democratic Party, or the latter would successfully initiate impeachment proceedings against the president.

 

Tensions within the ruling party, exacerbated by a campaign called “People for Impeachment” and backed by associated NGOs (including labor unions, university professors, and Catholic clergy), theoretically gave the opposition a chance to amass 200 votes – enough to proceed with impeachment regardless of the underlying reason. However, most of the accusations leveled against the president by opponents are as groundless as his own claims about anti-state or pro-North Korean forces, which he used to justify the imposed martial law.

“In a war of scale – not a limited intervention, but one similar to Ukraine — our army, for example, on the current casualty rates would be expended — as part of a broader multinational coalition — in six months to a year,” Carns said.

 

He based this calculation on questionable Ukrainian claims that Russia was taking 1,500 casualties every day, which Moscow has described as closer to Kiev’s actual losses.

 

While this doesn’t mean the UK needs a bigger army,“it does mean you need to generate depth and mass rapidly in the event of a crisis,” he added. “The reserves are critical, absolutely central, to that process.”

 

Publicly available information has put the size of the British Army at 109,245 people as of October 1, which includes 25,814 volunteer reservists. Carns argued thatthe UK has a lot of catching up to do with other NATO members when it came to reserves.

 

His comments come just days after Britain’s Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff Rob Magowan insisted that the army would “fight tonight” if ordered.

 

In late October, however, British secretary of defense John Healey told Politico that the army, navy and the air force had been “hollowed out” and “underfunded”during the 14 years of Conservative Party rule. Labour had expected things to be bad, “but the state of the finances, the state of the forces, was far worse than we thought,” he added.

 

“The UK, in keeping with many other nations, has essentially become very skilled and ready to conduct military operations.What we have not been ready to do is to fight,” Healey said at the time.

 

Earlier this week, the US government-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty claimed,citing anonymous sources, that the UK and France were discussing deploying their troops to Ukraine.

 

As of July, the British Army had just over 73,000 active-duty soldiers, the lowest number since 1823. The UK’s overall population was around 20 million then, and has since grown to 67 million.

 

The British Army was established in 1707 and is part of the UK’s armed forces along with the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force (RAF). It is not called “royal” because a standing army is based on the parliamentary forces that fought a civil war against the crown in the 1600s.

Hunter Biden celebrated his father’s unprecedented pardon of his crimes bywatching a movieabout himself, The Post has learned.

 

As news that the first son had received a sweeping pardon from President Biden broke Sunday, he was settling down in Los Angeles for a private screening of the recently completed documentary that his “sugar brother,” Hollywood lawyer Kevin Morris, made about him, a source close to the Biden family said.

 

The documentary — somewhat ironically — documents Hunter’s recent legal struggles on the federal tax evasion and weapons charges of which he is now cleared, as well as his efforts as an artist. It has been in the works for the last few years, according to reports.

 

“He’s happy and a huge weight was lifted off which he’s had to carry since his dad got elected,” the source told The Post.

 

Details about the documentary have been kept top secret and no production company, release date or even information about who has worked on it has been released.

 

Hunter did not indulge in any public celebration of the controversial blanket pardon that covers all offenses committed between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2024, including any crimes for which the first son has not been charged.

 

President Biden said the criminal problems for Hunter only began after several of his political opponents in Congress “instigated them to attack me and oppose my election.”

 

“He’s trying to keep a low profile about it,” the source said of Hunter. “It’s obviously another sign of his privilege in life and doesn’t endear him to anyone.”

 

Morris, who made his fortune on a TV deal related to the show “South Park,” met Hunter at a California fundraiser for Joe Biden in 2019. Since then, he has loaned the first son millions to help with expenses and to pay off his federal taxes.

 

Over the following three years, according to IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler, Morris gave Hunter $4.9 million — for his overdue tax bills, legal fees, housing, and car payments.

 

At least one loan to Hunter from Morris, for at least $1.2 million in 2020, carried interest and requires repayment beginning in 2025.

 

In addition to filming Hunter at work painting in his Los Angeles studio, Morris has followed the first son during his court appearances, sometimes filming him with his own phone. The high-profile entertainment lawyer has also given him legal advice, according to reports.

 

Morris also traveled undercover to Serbia in 2021 to allegedly spy on a biopic being made about the scandal-scarred first son, according to film producer Phelim McAleer. That film, “My Son Hunter,” was released in 2022.

 

Hunter pleaded guilty in September to nine tax offenses for avoiding $1.4 million in federal taxes between 2016 and 2019.

 

He was also found guilty of three federal gun charges in June after he was charged with possession of a firearm while addicted to illegal drugs.

 

“He’s never had to pay for any of his actions in life,” said the source. “Which is why in some ways, they’ve created a monster. Narcissistic and self-serving.”

 

Abbe Lowell, a lawyer representing Hunter, did not immediately return a request for comment Wednesday.

Scholz rules out sending German troops to Ukraine

Deployment of German troops to Ukraine is “out of the question” and it would be “inappropriate” to speculate about the proposition without peace talks starting, Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said.

 

Scholz made the remarks on Wednesday while addressing the German parliament about remarks made earlier this week by the country’s Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock.

 

Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting of NATO’s top diplomats on Tuesday,Baerbock signaled that Berlin was open to the idea of sending a peacekeeping force into Ukraine. (This woman is a nutjob, why is it most always the women in Europe that want to fight wars?)

 

“The German side will support everything that serves peace in the future,” she said, adding that the country’s soldiers “could be deployed only under the condition of a real ceasefire.”

 

The remarks prompted widespread speculationon how exactly such a deployment could flesh out, yet Scholz cautioned against drawing any conclusions from Baerbock’s statement, insisting she had worded it in extremely vague terms on purpose.

 

“She was asked what could happen in a peace phase, and actually she tried to answer this without saying yes or no. Because it’s quite inappropriate to speculate now about what would happen later in the event of a negotiated cease-fire,” Scholz told the parliament.

 

The chancellor ruled out any possibility of sending troops to Ukraine before a lasting ceasefire between Moscow and Kiev was established.

 

“We are in agreement with the minister of defense and the foreign minister that we must do everything to ensure that this war does not become a war between Russia and NATO. And that is why sending ground troops is out of the question for me in this war situation,” he explained.

 

The mixed messages from German leadership come amid a string of media reports that suggested France and the UK have been considering deploying their troops to the front line in Ukraine as a peacekeeping force to observe a ceasefire in the event of Russia and Ukraine actually engaging in negotiations.

 

An unnamed high-ranking NATO official, who spoke to state-funded news outlet Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (CIA cutout), suggested the true goal of the potential deployment was ensuring that European NATO members still have a say in the conflict’s resolution after US President-elect Donald Trump takes office in January.

 

Meanwhile, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service has reported that Western nations are considering sending as many as 100,000 “so-called peacekeepers” to Ukraine. That sizable force would effectively amount to an occupation and would only serve the purpose of buying time for Kiev to rebuild its military strength before renewing hostilities with Moscow, it warned.

He explained: "The concept of a 'quintupledemic' may sound dramatic. However, it's a realistic concern in a winter where Norovirus, mpox, Covid-19, RSV, and flu could circulate simultaneously.

 

"Each virus has its unique transmission dynamics, but what makes this scenario particularly unsettling is the overlap in their seasonal peaks and the strain this could place on our healthcare systems.

 

"Winter provides a perfect storm for viral transmission. Closed spaces, festive gatherings, and waning immunity from vaccines or past infections create a fertile ground for outbreaks."

 

He also emphasised the potential toll it will have on people over Christmas. "The human impact of such a scenario cannot be overstated," he explained. "Imagine hospitals stretched thin, families cancelling festive plans due to illness, and caregivers juggling the overlapping demands of multiple infections."

 

Echoing these sentiments, Dr Bruno Silvester Lopes of Teesside University warned of the reality of facing increased cases of norovirus, mpox, COVID-19, RSV, and influenza at the same time during winter, reports the Mirror.

 

He explained: "The concept of a 'quintupledemic' may sound dramatic. However, it's a realistic concern in a winter where Norovirus, mpox, Covid-19, RSV, and flu could circulate simultaneously.

He continued: "Public health awareness, robust surveillance, and individual vigilance are essential in preparing and addressing these outbreaks effectively."

 

It comes after an identification of a fifth case of Clade 1b mpox in Leeds, which differs from the cases identified in London. With the situation evolving, the UKHSA's chief medical adviser Susan Hopkins addressed public concerns by saying: "It is thanks to clinicians rapidly recognising the symptoms and our diagnostics tests that we have been able to detect this new case.

 

"The risk to the UK population remains low following this fifth case, and we are working rapidly to trace close contacts and reduce the risk of any potential spread."

 

The NHS lists typical symptoms of mpox, including a rash, fever, headache, muscle aches, backache, swollen glands, shivering exhaustion and joint pain, with the rash usually showing up one to five days after the first signs appear.

Archaeological dig at Notre-Dame unearths 2,000 years of history

The tragic 2019 fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral led to major discoveries during restoration work. Archaeologists unearthed treasures dating back from antiquity to the 19th century.Busts of the crucified face of Christ, the torso of a man wearing a tunic are some of the artifacts on display at the Musée de Cluny, a museum of medieval art in Paris, where visitors can contemplate nearly ten centuries of history. Around 30 fragments from Notre-Dame Cathedral's rood screen, a stone tribune adorned with statues, are being exhibited for the first time. The tribune formed an enclosure between the choir and the nave where the faithful were seated.

 

“We thought these elements had been lost forever,” said museum's director Séverine Lepape, as she revealed the sculptures, which were made in 1230.

 

‘It's unbelievable’: The remains were unearthed during excavations carried out prior to the reconstruction of the cathedral, after the April 2019 fire.Around 15 of the medieval sculptures were unearthed during renovation work in the 19th centuryled by French architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc (1814-1879)

Recent excavations following the 2019 fire uncovered around thousand pieces, including 700 fragments, some of which display polychrome traces that are well preserved. "Polychromy is the coloured adornment on the surface. It tells us what people saw when they were confronted with these sculptures before the application of colours disappeared,” said Damien Berné, the curator of the exhibition Making Stones Speak. Notre Dame’s Medieval Sculptures, which ends March 16, 2025.

 

Delicate slivers of colour adorn these fragile artifacts: reds, blues, ochres and golds. “The rood screen is an exceptional discovery; the likes of which you only get once every hundred years. When we find a 13th-century sculpture, we're happy, but when we find 1,000, it's unbelievable," said archaeologist Christophe Besnier of the French National Institute for Preventative Archaeological Research (INRAP). "I feel privileged," added the lead archeologist for the February 2022 excavation of Notre-Dame’s transept crossing.

 

Few opportunities existed before the fire to study the prestigious religious building so closely. During radical restoration work overseen by Viollet-le-Duc beginning in 1843, the architect recorded observations in his journal. But it was not until 1847 that an initial excavation campaign was carried out by Théodore Vacquer on the eastern edge beneath the square in front of Notre-Dame. The construction of a car park under the square in the 1960s also allowed for the discovery of architectural ruins, and for the creation of a crypt that would display the remains.

 

"From an archaeological point of view, the area was relatively unknown, except for the square. Notre-Dame was considered as a historical monument, not an archaeological site," said Dorothée Chaoui-Derieux, the chief heritage curator who has coordinated all the archaeological operations at Notre-Dame decreed by the State since 2019. "We have carried out around 20 diagnostic or excavation operations as part of this project, which have uncovered nearly 2,000 years of history," she added.

For centuries, different occupations were superimposed on one another. The oldest levels date back to the early antiquity period. A dwelling from the very beginning of the 1st century was unearthed at a depth of 3.50 metres in the Soufflot cellar, in the heart of the cathedral. The foundations of the cathedral were also uncovered for the first time. "This really illustrates the level of activity on the site dating from the very first century up until our era," said Christophe Besnier. "We have collected clues from almost every period. A ‘data mine’

The 2022 discovery of two coffins beneath the nave of Notre-Dame were particularly publicised in French media reports.While the identification of Canon Antoine de La Porte was made possible by the epitaph on his coffin, the identity of the other occupant remained shrouded in mystery.

 

In September, archaeologist Éric Crubézy finally announced that it could be the poet Joachim du Bellay, who was buried in the cathedral in the 16th century, according to analyses carried out at the Forensic Institute of the Toulouse University Hospital.

 

Yet doubts remain, according to Chaoui-Derieux. "The studies are still far from over. There are other signs suggesting this isn’t Joachim du Bellay but another individual."

 

Notre-Dame hasn't finished revealing its secrets. Despite the completion of the restoration project, teams of archaeologists are still busy. "The work is not over. There are still important analyses to be carried out over the next two or three years," said Besnier. A year-long effort to stabilise all the fragments of

the rood screen and its polychromy is currently underway. The discovery will also lead to a 3D reconstruction.

 

During the work, the rubble left after the fire was also carefully collected and inventoried. "This is considered as archaeological remains which are now accessible to the scientific community," said Chaoui-Derieux. "There are specialists in wood, stone and metal who come to our reserves to take samples of these materials. They will be able to tell us more, especially about the construction of the framework, or about the different phases of restoration.

It is a real source of data."

The fire that ravaged the cathedral and moved the entire world will have indirectly helped advance research, said Chaoui-Derieux. "It is obvious that no one would have wanted this disaster, but once it happened, we tried to find the silver lining. This is a tragedy which helped us enrich our knowledge."

So committed are these staffers, Efron confesses, that they plan to work right up until the final moments on inauguration day, rushing to ensure that every possible tax-payer dollar is disbursed before a Republican administration can turn off the spigot.

 

“It’s until the Trump people come in and tell us we can no longer give out money. That’s at the very earliest the 20th [January 2025]. But it’s probably a little bit after because they have to get in the building and tell people what to do.”

 

Efron predicts that the Trump administration will swiftly issue an order to block all grants, with Congress potentially trying to claw back the EPA’s funding. Anticipating this, he reveals that the EPA has been working to funnel money to aligned nonprofits capable of implementing climate change policies at the local level, viewing it as an “insurance policy” against the upcoming Trump presidency.

The law actually states, "Retail department stores that have physical locations in California and 500 or more employees across all California locations must maintain a gender-neutral section, where a reasonable selection of the childcare items and toys for children that they sell must be displayed, regardless of whether these products are traditionally marketed for boys or girls."

Then Bonta provides "painfully explicit instructions" to snitchers.

"If you do not see an adequate gender-neutral product section in a large retail department store in California that you believe is covered by this law, you may take pictures, document, and file a complaint with our office."

Russian Ship Fires Warning Shots At German Military Helicopter In Baltic Sea

In a rare dangerous incident and close-call, European media reports have described that the crew of a Russian ship 'fired' upon a Germany army helicopter which was monitoring the vessel's movements in the Baltic Sea.

 

"German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced increased surveillance in the Baltic Sea after a Russian ship fired at a Bundeswehr helicopter during a mission," EuroNews writes.

 

The Bundeswehr helicopter was confirmed to have been on a reconnaissance mission at an unclear date and time, but the Russian ship - described in The Daily Mail as a warship - fired signaling ammunition in an apparent effort to warn the aircraft off.

 

Baerbock disclosed the incident for the first time on the sidelines of a NATO foreign minister's meeting in Brussels, but gave few other details.

 

"Signal ammunition is used for warning shots rather than attack, but this sort of incident is a sign of how close NATO and Russia are getting to facing each other directly," Daily Mail concludes.

 

Currently there's a lot of Western monitoring of the Baltic Sea after several communications cables which link Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Lithuania were severed in a suspected sabotage incident.

 

Allegations and focus have remained on the Chinese vessel Yi Peng 3 which was observed in the area at the time of the suspected sabotage. It's believed to have intentionally dragged its anchor to damage the underwater cables. The Swedish government has demanded answers of Beijing.

 

Tensions have been soaring of late between Berlin and Moscow, given Baerbock on Tuesday also told NATO allies that all options are on the table regarding the Ukraine war, presumably even the potential for deploying Western troops there.
