UAE intercepts 9 Iranian ballistic missiles, 6 cruise missiles, ministry says

The United Arab Emirates said its air defenses intercepted nine Iranian ballistic missiles, six cruise missiles and 148 drones on Monday.

Russia's Key Novorossiysk Export Hub Again Pounded In Large Ukrainian Drone Wave

 

Iran is understandably dominating global headlines, but major events are still happening in oh yeah that other war which has been raging for four plus years in eastern Europe.

 

Like with the Iran conflict theatre, major geopolitical repercussions impacting energy oil prices are coming out of the Ukraine war. An overnight Monday large-scale drone wave from Ukraine has severely damaged Russia's Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.

 

Ukraine's General Staff has described that the facility supplies Russian forces engaged in the war, after reports have indicated the intended target was the Sheskharis oil terminal, one of southern Russia's largest oil and petroleum transshipment hubs.

 

A large fire was observed in the wake of the attack on the key oil export site. But civilian neighborhoods were also damaged in the assault, with debris from intercepted drones reportedly hitting multiple residential structures in the city, resulting in several hospitalizations of residents.

 

The attack was significant enough to force air travel delays and cancelations over much of southern Russia, including international routes to Istanbul. Routes to Tel Aviv and the Gulf have already been disrupted due to Trump's 'Operation Epic Fury' targeting Iran.

 

As for this latest drone attack among many targeting Russian oil sites of late, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has owned up to it, saying, "together with other components of the Defense Forces, struck Russian warships, air defense systems, and oil infrastructure in the port of Novorossiysk."

 

According to more details via Reuters:

 

Russia said on Monday that five people had been injured, 20 buildings damaged, and a fire at a fuel terminal extinguished after what it said was a massive overnight Ukrainian drone attack on the Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk.

 

An official at Ukraine's SBU security service said Ukrainian drones had struck the Sheskharis oil terminal at the port, hitting six of its seven loading facilities, and that Russian warships had also been hit. Ukraine's General Staff said a naval base had also been struck, along with an S-400 air defense radar station.

Saudi Arabia Shuts Down Its Largest Refinery After Iran Attack

 

Multiple outlets reported on Monday that the Ras Tanura oil refinery in Saudi Arabia had temporarily shut down after dramatic images surfaced of smoke billowing from the facility following an Iranian attack.

US Attorney Comey halted NM AG sex trafficking probe into Epstein ranch in 2019

 

With a New Mexico legislative investigation underway into a ranch that was used as a staging ground to traffic and sexually assault children, files released by the Department of Justice show that a U.S. attorney in New York halted a state attorney general investigation in 2019 and no federal, state or county criminal searches of the property took place.

 

Jeffrey Epstein was convicted in a Florida state court in 2008 on child prostitution charges after taking a controversial plea deal. He served 18 months in prison. Multiple women then came forward alleging he sexually assaulted and trafficked them and sued. In 2019, Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges but did not stand trial because of his death.

 

One year later, his coconspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, was charged with sex trafficking and abusing girls she procured for Epstein and his clients. By December 2021, she was found guilty on multiple charges and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. Epstein’s clients and associates haven’t been prosecuted. Public outrage led to Congress passing a law requiring the Department of Justice to publish documents related to Epstein. So far, more than 3 million heavily redacted files have been released.

 

The Epstein files have been the focus of congressional hearings, campaigns and resulted in several high-profile people resigning. The King of England’s younger brother, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested on Thursday on charges of misconduct in public office for his alleged role in an Epstein child sex trafficking ring, charges he denies.

 

This week, a New Mexico House Special Investigative Committee launched an investigation into Epstein’s Zorro ranch now owned by Texas businessman Don Huffines after learning of more criminality alleged in the files. Lawmakers also said residents of the Santa Fe community had long alleged crimes were being committed there and no state legislative investigation had been conducted, The Center Square reported.

 

Epstein’s Virgin Islands company, Cypress, Inc., purchased the property from New Mexico’s former three-time Democratic Gov. Bruce King in 1993. The property surrounding the ranch includes state land and King family-owned land. After Epstein was indicted in 2005, campaign contributions he made to New Mexico Democrats were returned, including by former Gov. Bill Richardson and then attorney general candidate Gary King, Bruce King’s son, The Santa Fe New Mexican reported.

An Iranian-owned boxing gym in Thornhill, Ont., was targeted by gunfire early Sunday morning in an apparent threat against activists speaking out against the Islamic Republic governing Iran.

 

York Regional Police officers were called to Saliwan Boxing, near Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue West, north of Toronto, at around 3 a.m. following reports of a shooting.

 

The gym’s entrance was riddled with bullet holes and broken glass in videos uploaded to social media by Salar Gholami, the business’s owner and a key activist in anti-regime protests across the Greater Toronto Area in recent months.

 

“This happened exactly one hour after people had gathered here to deliberate the death of the oppressive leader of the Islamic Republic,” Gholami said in a post, wearing a sweater with an image of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the former King of Iran. “Imagine if families and children had still been here when those shots were fired. The consequences could have been catastrophic.”

 

“It shows that it’s no longer safe here for Canadians themselves, it’s not just about Iranians,” said a statement shared by Gholami’s spokesperson, Pouria Afkhami. “They’ve created a place where Canadian citizens cannot live comfortably.”

York Regional Police told the National Post investigators think the shooting was targeted, but have not established a motive. Officers are canvassing local businesses and residences in search of a suspect vehicle and description, said Insp. Jason DinsMore. No one was injured.

 

For his part, Gholami said he believes the shooting is directly related to his activism, and that agents of the Islamic regime were involved.

 

“​​According to the Supreme Leader’s [ruling]… they had said this themselves before, that we will punish those who organize rallies and demonstrations abroad, and this is part of the IRGC’s policies.”

 

The protests organized by Gholami’s group shattered the record for the largest protest in Toronto twice last month.

 

Toronto police reported no incidents as 150,000 marched in downtown Toronto on Feb. 1. More than 350,000 attended the solidarity for Iran protest on Feb. 14, according to police. Iranians were seen handing flowers to officers at both.

 

Canadian authorities are aware of threats by the Islamic regime against dissidents here, and Canada’s domestic spy agency has confirmed efforts to thwart some of those threats.

 

“​​​​We’ve had to reprioritize our operations to counter the actions of Iranian intelligence services and their proxies who have targeted individuals they perceive as threats to their regime,” said Daniel Rogers, director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, at a press conference in November. “In more than one case, this involved detecting, investigating and disrupting potentially lethal threats against individuals in Canada.”

 

“This is what happens when the Canadian government deals with the Mullahs and lets them in,” Gholami told Iran International. “Seventeen bullets could have meant 17 dead Canadians.”

 

Also on early Sunday morning, a gunman killed two people and injured 14 others outside a bar in Austin, Texas. The suspect was wearing a sweatshirt that said “property of Allah,” according to the Associated Press, which reported that local police are investigating links between the incident and Iran.

 

Separately, a video circulating on social media appears to show a Persian restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, that had its window shattered. Similar to Saliwan boxing gym, the restaurant’s window displayed an Iranian flag featuring the lion and sun, a symbol banned by the Islamic Republic.

 

These attacks come during joint U.S.-Israeli air strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and subsequent counter-strikes on Israel and Arab states hosting U.S. assets. The highly anticipated strikes began two months after the start of mass protests in Iran, followed by a regime crackdown that saw the killings of thousands of Iranians.

 

Gholami is intent on continuing his activism, despite facing threats.

 

“The police told me not to go there, but I was the first person there this morning,” he told Iran International. “I’m a Kurdish-Iranian, and I would be proud to die for my country. ”

 

After the Thornhill shooting, Gholami called for a protest outside the U.S. consulate in Toronto on Sunday afternoon.

 

“They might be able to take my life,” he told the crowd in a video. “But they cannot take our honour.”

FBI Computer System Hacked, Millions of Epstein Files Wiped

 

A sworn declaration buried in the Trump administration’s recent release of millions of “Epstein Files” documents reveals that an FBI computer system hack resulted in the destruction of roughly 100 terabytes of Jeffrey Epstein-related data.

 

The September 2024 declaration from FBI agent Aaron Spivack states that a massive breach of the FBI’s New York Field Office (NYFO) systems on Super Bowl Sunday in 2023 led to the Bureau losing access to approximately 500 terabytes of data.

 

100 terabytes of this data could not be recovered and was permanently erased.

 

The document had reportedly received little public attention until it was highlighted by independent journalists.

Spivack worked for more than a decade in the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism and Child Exploitation squads, including the Violent Crimes Against Children (VCAC) unit.

Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe has shared a strange experience where he thinks he may have seen a UFO.

Speaking to Metal Hammer for a special feature where he answers questions from his fellow musicians, the frontman is asked by Clutch singer Neil Fallon if he's ever encountered visitors in the skies.

 

“Yes, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen one, by the house I rented down on Oak Island, North Carolina," Randy explains.

"It was a block from the ocean. I was sitting on the front porch there with my friend, T-Roy from Sourvein, and his girlfriend. All of a sudden we saw these two sets of four lights in a kind of square pattern over the ocean, very bright.

They went horizontal very quickly, one this way and one that way, then they went up and then down, and then they both shot into the sky at an incredible speed. We were honestly freaked out."

 

Blythe also addresses some of the easier ways to debunk or explain what he saw.

“I’m quite aware of our military take-off vehicles, and they can’t go that fast," he reasons.

"They weren’t drones. I am not obsessed with aliens or weird conspiracy stuff like some of my friends, but I think it’s improbable that we’re the only intelligent thing in the universe. And I definitely saw an unidentified flying object that night.”

 

Lamb Of God are due to release their twelfth studio album, Into Oblivion, later this month. In January, the band released the title track as a single and Blythe explained the meaning of Into Oblivion.

"That’s where we’re heading," Blythe said in a press release. "In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”

 

Lamb Of God are due to tour North America in support of the record from March 17, the tour kicking off in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

The band will also play US festivals Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple, before heading over to Europe for more festival appearances, including a headline performance at Bloodstock in the UK.

DeLonge contacted Podesta again this January, sending an email with the subject, “General McCasland,” apparently a reference to a former Air Force official with (according to DeLonge) information relating to the infamous Roswell crash.

In the email, DeLonge insisted that McCasland was not a skeptic — despite the General’s own previous insistence — and added, “When Roswell crashed, they shipped it to the laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

General McCasland was in charge of that exact laboratory up to a couple years ago. He not only knows what I’m trying to achieve, he helped assemble my advisory team. He’s a very important man.”

Nevada has the highest rate of unidentified aerial phenomenon per capita out of any state since 2023, according to a new report.

The Silver State recorded 411 approved UAP sightings according to Enigma Labs, a U.S. based aerial intelligence and analysis platform, since 2023.

Enigma Labs said they received 601 reports during that time frame but only verified 411.

 

“We do not approve hoaxes, non-reports, or reports that lack sufficient information,” said Alejandro Rojas, a consultant for the company.

The report from Enigma Labs shows a concentrated cluster of verified reports of UAP around Southern Nevada, including areas near Nellis Air Force Base, the Nevada National Security Site and the Tonopah Test Range complex.

The report notes the confirmed sightings include eye witness testimony of “silent hovering, sudden acceleration, and non-aircraft flight behavior.”

 

Enigma Labs said the objects reported by eye witnesses appear to allegedly demonstrate capabilities that go beyond that of conventional aircraft or drones, “hovering silently for extended periods before accelerating rapidly.

Several reports were directly adjacent to Nellis Air Force Base and the Tonopah range complex, which have long been associated with sensitive testing and national defense activities.”

The company’s records show 19.1 reports per 100,000 residents in Nevada which is approximately 69 percent higher than the national average of 11.3. Arizona comes in second at 19.0, followed by Oregon 18.9 and Maine at 17.4.

 

Earlier in February, U.S. President Donald Trump said he’s directed the Pentagon and other government agencies to find and release any files related to “to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.”

Congress held its first hearings on UAPs in May of 2022 after a group of former Pentagon officials leaked video from the Navy of unknown objects to various media outlets.

Congresswoman Luna Names FBI and Pentagon In UFO Talks

This a week after President Trump posted on social media on February 19th promising the declassification of UFO-related information.

Luna also recently posted on X that UFO files will appear on the National Archives website in the near future.

 

According to Chicago-based investigative journalist Jon Stewart, who appeared on Fox News, one of the core reasons this information has remained classified is not only to protect sensitive technology but because the government itself does not know what the phenomenon is.

As Stewart stated directly, intelligence officials still cannot confirm whether these craft are interstellar, interdimensional, or something else entirely even after 80 years of study.

That raises a significant question — if the government cannot identify the origin or nature of what it has recovered, a full and meaningful disclosure becomes far more complicated than simply releasing files.

 

Stewart also identified Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah as an alleged active reverse engineering site, describing it as the facility that replaced Area 51 once that location became too publicly known.

He further suggested that former intelligence officers, emboldened by Trump’s February 19th announcement, may release classified material independently without waiting for a formal government process.

 

On the science side, Harvard professor and Galileo Project founder Dr. Avi Loeb stated that the evidence released publicly so far does not meet the standard required for scientific evaluation.

Per Loeb on Fox News, without knowing the distance, velocity, and acceleration of the objects captured in existing footage, no scientific conclusion can be drawn.

 

However, he noted that if physical recovered materials were made available to laboratories, determining whether they originated outside our solar system would be straightforward using isotope abundance analysis — a test that can be conducted with existing equipment.
