BREAKING REPORT: Trump Considering Firing Bondi

President Trump is mullingfiring Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Epstein file release, according to the New York Times and CNN.

 

The president has reportedly discussed replacing Bondiwith EPA Chief Lee Zeldin.

 

Pam Bondi joined President Trump at the Supreme Court to hear oral arguments on the birthright citizenship case.

 

Trump praised Bondi in a statement to CNN.

 

“Attorney General Pam Bondi is a wonderful person and she is doing a good job,” the president said in a statement to CNN on Wednesday.

President Donald Trump has privately mused about firing his Attorney General Pam Bondiand replacing her with EPA administrator Lee Zeldin, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

 

Frustrated by the backlash andanger in his base over the administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, Trump has asked people about replacingBondi, who faces a depositionlater this month on Capitol Hill related to the congressional investigation into the late sex trafficker, the sources said.He has also fumed that she hasn’t investigated enough of his political opponents.

 

It’s not clear the president has made up his mind, the sources told CNN. Bondi was with Trump Wednesday, riding in his motorcade as he attended the Supreme Court arguments on birthright citizenship. Trump voiced confidence in her in a statement to CNN.

 

The New York Times reported that President Trump has been frustrated with Pam Bondi’s leadership at the DOJ.

 

The Justice Department last year began releasing batches of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking cases.

 

The trove of documents was released after afederal judge in New York recently ordered the release of Jeffrey Epstein documentsrelated to a 2019 sex trafficking case.

 

President Trump previously signed the Epstein Files Transparency Actinto law to release all files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

 

Bondi came under fire for a disastrous Epstein document dump.

 

Some Epstein files were heavily redacted,and other times the DOJ failed to redact the names of the sex-trafficking victims.

 

Bondi alsofaced backlashaftershe claimed that she reviewed “tens of thousands” of Epsteinvideos.

 

Shortly after Bondi made the claim, FBI Director Kash Patel sparked another controversy when he said there is no Epstein “client list.”

Koh Kong customs deputy shook down 3,000 truckloads, ran bribes through his son and "7th unofficial wife," and helped move scam phones to Poipet

 

Cambodia's Anti-Corruption Unit sent Mao Sansona, deputy head of Koh Kong's Customs and Excise Department, to court on March 18 on charges of abuse of power and money laundering. The ACU deployed more than 10 investigation teams and says it documented nearly 3,000 cases of extortion involving 829 cargo vehicles on National Road 48 between April 2024 and February 2026. No vehicle was spared. Fish, meat, vegetables, household goods, people relocating furniture. Taxed or untaxed, didn't matter. He also agreed to guarantee safe passage for 7,000 phones and 200 computers being moved from Prey Veng to Poipet for a Chinese-run online scam operation, for $3,500.

 

The ACU found he was running bribe payments through 41 bank accounts across six banks, using proxies to collect. His younger brother Mao Tithya, who was illegally employed as contract staff at the same customs office, took in around $23,000. His biological son Phal Dollar received $220,000 across 2,494 transfers from 339 people. And Pot Sreinang, described by the ACU as his "7th unofficial wife," collected $65,000 from 238 senders including 26 Chinese nationals. The ACU froze 15 accounts totaling $302,000 and seized a Phnom Penh condo, a house, land in Kampong Speu, and three vehicles.

 

Mao Sansona kept extorting drivers even while being called in for questioning. His checkpoint wasn't abandoned until March 15, three days before he was sent to court. The ACU described him as stubborn and evasive, never admitting to anything until confronted with specific evidence. The case then turned inward. ACU investigator Chim Oun was caught on video receiving $20,000 in bundled hundreds from associates of Mao Sansona to shut down the probe. Chim Oun, a second ACU staffer, and a legal assistant were all sent to court on March 16. In total, the ACU referred 10 people to court in March, including two of its own.

Australia to join 34 countries — but not the US — in meeting on Strait of Hormuz

 

Australia will join a virtual meeting of 35 countries to discuss plans to reopen and secure the Strait of Hormuz and ease an oil shock rocking global markets.

 

The meeting will be led by the United Kingdom, which has coordinated efforts to gather countries willing to contribute to reopening the Strait.

 

But the United States will be notably absent from discussions, as President Donald Trump has publicly berated Western allies for not doing enough to assist the US in its war with Iran.

 

Foreign Minister Penny Wong will represent Australia in the virtual meeting, scheduled to take place late tonight Australian time.

 

Australia already has military assets in the region, with an E-7 Wedgetail surveillance aircraft and 85 crew deployed to the United Arab Emirates.

 

Defence minister Richard Marles said Australia remained willing to discuss what it could do to help.

 

"We are talking with countries like the UK and France about what contribution we could usefully make," he said.

 

"I'd emphasise that we have an E‑7 Wedgetail in the region right now, helping in supporting the defence of the countries of the Gulf, and particularly the United Arab Emirates.

 

"But we will continue to talk with the UK and France and others about what we can usefully do."
