I HAVE TODAY signed S. 3706, An Act to make illegal the Communist Party and to prohibit members of Communist organizations from serving in certain representative capacities. The American people are determined to protect themselves and their institutions against any organization in their midst which, purporting to be a political party within the normally accepted meaning, is actually a conspiracy dedicated to the violent overthrow of our entire form of government.

1. The Congress has passed a bill providing for the loss of citizenship by those advocating the overthrow of our government by force and violence. In carrying out the Administration's recommendation that any citizen who knowingly and actively participates in the Communist conspiracy to overthrow the government by force and violence should be regarded as renouncing his allegiance to the United States and forfeiting his right to citizenship, the Congress has reinforced our historic concept that citizenship is a right only of those who bear true faith and allegiance to the United States and its free institutions.

1. The foregoing bill also includes a provision for the death penalty for persons found guilty of peacetime espionage. It creates within the framework of the Internal Security Act of 1950 a new category entitled, "Communist-Infiltrated Organizations."

Trump fielded a question from a reporter about the longstanding relationship between the U.S. and England before bringing out what he called a "special limited edition" copy of the Declaration of Independence.

Very special guy, Tom Jefferson. He wrote a lot. John Adams told him to, can you believe that? He wanted him to write it because John was obnoxious and disliked, not like Tommy. Everyone loved him. Even his slaves loved him, if you can believe it. He was quite a guy."

Charles reportedly took possession of the document with little acknowledgment, keeping a stiff upper lip as he did so to mask his pain.

The main issue: launching a war against Iran is foolish due to Iran’s ability to shut down the SOH, the effect that has on the economy, our alliances in the Gulf & the strength of the petrodollar etc.

We could have contained Iran w/Sanctions & CT strikes (like Solmani) & let the regime organically collapse overtime or negotiated.

Attacking Iran directly has only emboldened the regime & the hardliners.

This war only benefits Israel, as their goal is to create chaos within Iran so the regime can’t pose a threat to Israel.

Israel needs us to lead these efforts because they lack the military capability but also so we value the intel they give us on Iran.

America at war with Iran increases the value of Intel on Iran that Israel provides, this is the commodity Israel deals in.

We do not benefit from this war & are losing our standing in the world because of it.
